Chapter 93: A New Motivation

(8/20, Daytime)

(Yongen-Jaya, Leblanc)

Akira put away his phone and frowned.

Over the past few days since Miyabi's party, he had paid Homura to start training everyone and teaching them Skill Cards while he bought new equipment for the next time in the Metaverse. He had Yusuke duplicate his better cards almost every day since finishing Futaba's Palace, and now it was paying off. Sure, everyone was half-dead by the end, but at least everyone was stronger now.

However, given the date, he didn't know if they would have the chance to use those new skills.

And so, after checking in with their resident hacker, he knew something had to be done.

"So, we're all here." Morgana got out as he jumped onto the table. "I hope you all know why we gathered here. Leader, if you mind?" He then added.

"We needed to have a meeting today." Akira got out as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Futaba still hasn't woken up yet." He soon announced, causing everyone to groan.

"I had a feeling you'd say that..." Makoto sighed.

"Oh my God! How long has Futaba been out!?" Homura exclaimed with a hint of impatience. "Medjed is about to screw us over!" She then reminded.

"And Japan. You can't forget about all of Japan." Yusuke reminded everyone.

"About...23 days." Akira answered with a shrug.

"Wow, that went by faster than I thought." Ann admitted with widened eyes.

"That long!? That's over three weeks!" Ryuji called out. "The deadline is tomorrow!" He then reminded a little frantically.

"Like I said: Less sleep, more coma..." Yumi sighed out.

"Did you forget I was in a three year coma?" Miyabi deadpanned her question, causing the light gray haired girl to wince. "...Eh, I'm just screwing with you. I don't mind. But seriously, this is too long. She hasn't been sleeping all the time, but every time I see her, she can barely get out of bed. How bad is her stamina...?" She muttered in a worried tone.

"Bad enough that she needs to start working out when she wakes up." Homura decided.

"Yeah..." Makoto agreed before frowning. "But I swear, if you train her like a shinobi...!" She then began in a threatening tone.

"I won't. But if she gets winded walking to the train station, then we have a serious problem." Homura assured and pointed out as she crossed her arms under her chest. "God, we do all this work to change her heart..." She sighed out.

"Actually, it probably would've been bad if we actually changed her heart." Akira realized as he looked at the sleeping girl. "I mean, look at her PC set-up. There's no way Sojiro could afford that type of stuff. And not to mention the amount of other illegal shit she probably did over the years." He then pointed out.

"Futaba would've outed herself as an infamous hacker..." Miyabi got out as everyone winced.

"Yeah...she really dodged a bullet by entering her own Palace." Homura then breathed out.

"Hm...I wonder if we can reform our targets just by bringing them into their Palace..." Akira idly wondered before shaking his head. "Nah, no way we'd risk scumbags like Kamoshida getting a Persona..." He then decided.

"God, just thinking back then, so many things could've gone wrong." Ann muttered as she rubbed her forehead.

"Well, Futaba was a unique case. I doubt we'll encounter anyone like her again." Morgana stated. "I mean, look at her Persona! Most Persona-users can fight, but from my understanding, she has very limited offensive capabilities." He then added.

"She still managed to save us from the cognition of her mother." Yumi reminded. "To think her Persona would take the form of a flying saucer." She then added in a fascinated tone.

"Isn't the Necronomicon supposed to be a book or somethin'?" Ryuji pointed out.

"My Persona is a popess motorcycle. We should just stop questioning our Personas designs." Makoto reminded in a deadpan tone while Johanna revved in her mind.

"I think what's more important is that the Necronomicon isn't a figure of rebellion." Akira spoke up. "I think...She's a truth seeker." He soon declared.

"Hm? What makes you think that?" Asuka asked.

"Well, her Persona isn't a trickster or rebel like all of ours. Necronomicon is a book containing forbidden knowledge." Akira then explained. "She wants to learn the truth, so she's going as far as to read a forbidden book to find it." He then explained. "At least she isn't gonna summon deadites on us that want to swallow our souls." He jokingly added.

"...Huh?" Asuka got out in confusion.

"Nothing." Akira sighed.

"So, what's her Arcana?" Miyabi had to ask.

"Hermit." Morgana answered instantly.

"...Hermit strangely makes sense for her Arcana." Homura awkwardly admitted.

"The shellfish?" Ryuji got out in confusion.

"Not that type of hermit. And that's not even the right species." Morgana sighed out. "The Hermit Arcana represents wisdom, introspection, solitude, retreat and philosophical searches." He then explained.

"...So...Futaba." Homura simplified.

"Yeah, pretty much." Morgana responded with a sweatdrop.

"Dammit, that's it!" Ryuji suddenly declared. "We're brain' down her door, wakin' her up and makin' her deal with Medjed right now!" He soon decided.

"But...What if she's still recovering...?" Asuka questioned in a worried tone.

"Three weeks!" Ryuji reminded in a more forceful tone. "If she isn't doin' it now, she ain't gonna do it ever!" He then added.

"Or it could just be like you and your summer homework." Makoto spoke up. "Leaving it until the very last minute." She then concluded.

"Wait, how did you-" Ryuji began to ask before blinking. "We had summer homework?" He soon asked.

"Look, if the worst comes to pass, summer homework might not be our biggest priority." Akira spoke up in a serious tone. "So...what the hell do we do if Futaba can't deal with Medjed in time? Because revealing our identities is sounding really tempting right now." He soon asked and admitted.

"Really?" Asuka gasped.

"I'd rather not have Japan fall to chaos than not go to prison." Akira stated in a serious tone. "So, does anyone here have any bright ideas other than charging into Futaba's room and splashing coffee in her face?" He soon asked.

"..." Makoto opened her mouth, only to close it the next second later.

"..." Yumi frowned but didn't say anything.

"..." Asuka was just staring blankly into space.

"Thought so..." Akira sighed as he rubbed his forehead.

"But we can't give up here!" Yumi however declared. "From what I know about hacking, it takes a good while to do and execute. And organizing such a large-scale attack will be tricky, as like all other operations. I think we'll have 24 hours until the attack fully executes." She then stated and deducted.

"You sure, Yumi?" Miyabi got out with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes." Yumi responded with a nod. "We'll just need to get Futaba up and running tomorrow. I trust Akira-kun will be able to ensure that happens." She then stated.

"What is everyone doing tomorrow?" Morgana soon asked.

"I don't have plans." Yusuke revealed.

"I need to finish my homework..." Ann muttered with a groan.

"I'm gonna stay inside. You know, just in case." Ryuji answered.

"If it all falls to chaos...everyone should at least stay home. If there's any news that the attack is executed, start barricading your doors." Akira advised in a grim tone.

"You really think all of Japan will fall into anarchy?" Miyabi however asked.

"People have gotten violent over dumber things." Homura reminded. "But for now...I guess we'll just have to wait and see." She soon advised.

"Homura-san is right." Makoto replied as she nodded in agreement.

"Alright then. Meeting adjourned." Akira announced with a shake of his head. He had really hoped there was something they could do other than wait.

Everyone nodded before they headed out of the cafe, going their separate ways for the day. Not feeling like doing anything right now, Akira decided to hang out around Yongen-Jaya for the day, leaving the not cat in his room to be by himself for a while.

He found a few new places nearby he never noticed before and ate a decent lunch, but otherwise it was a pretty boring day. Probably he needed it before the possible shitstorm tomorrow.

"I may as well head home and workout." Akira muttered to himself as he made his way back to the cafe, only to see on his way there the familiar white haired woman sitting on a bench, staring up at the sky.

"Why are you still in Yongen?" Akira had to ask as he sat next to the woman.

"I...didn't have anything to do today." Miyabi sheepishly admitted. "I thought you'd be hanging out with someone. Morgana not with you?" She then added and asked.

"Not today. Just needed a little time by myself." Akira replied and admitted. "God, I really hope Futaba can do this." He then sighed out.

"I trust that she can." Miyabi confessed.

"Hey...you were only in this to save Futaba, right?" Akira got out as he looked at the white haired girl. "What made you change your mind about...everything, really?" He soon asked.

"Well...It's not like I'm gonna leave Futaba alone. I promised we'd be alone together..." Miyabi replied. "And...after everything, it's not like I can go back to the way things were now. So... I'm gonna stay a Phantom Thief. You better take care of me, Leader." She soon decided.

Akira smiled at that. "Well then, I officially welcome you to the Phantom Thieves, Serpent." He replied.

"Yeah. Thanks." Miyabi got out as she shook his hand. "I promise, I'll get stronger...to protect the few loves I have left. Without power, you can't protect anyone after all." She then added.

"Well I'm just glad you're not gonna kill us all and dump our heads at Hebijo." Akira admitted.

"Oh yeah...Hebijo..." Miyabi sighed out. "...Damn, I'm gonna have to deal with them. I also need to take care of the kill switch on me, and even then my father's gonna kill me after this is over. Homura might be a big help, but I'll be busy for a while..." She then added.

"Of course. Take your time. This is a big risk you're taking after all." Akira got out in a serious tone.

"It is. But don't take it as me leaving Hebijo." Miyabii however stated. "I'm going to take it over some day, and betraying would not increase my chances." She then explained.

"You're still loyal?" Akira however questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"I want to be." Miyabi replied with arms crossed under her chest. "But I'll also be loyal to the Phantom Thieves. Don't worry. I won't kill you guys if it comes down to it." She then added and assured. "Besides, if there's ever a kill order for the Thieves, it would include me anyways." She soon stated.

"True." Akira got out with a shrug.

"And uh...sorry. For how I acted." Miyabi soon apologized with a hand behind her head. "If we're going to work together, really work together...no grudges, no complaining, no...being a pissbaby or something." She then added while mumbling the last part.

"I wouldn't call you that." Akira chuckled out. "But if you ever need to talk, I'm always open." He soon offered.

Miyabi then crossed her arms under her chest as she pondered on that for a moment. "...You know what? I'll take you up on that, Akira." She eventually replied with a nod. "I guess I've spent enough time here. I'll see you around, okay?" She soon added as she stood up.

"Sure." Akira replied before turning to leave. "And Miyabi?" He then started.

"Yeah?" The woman stopped and turned towards the Leader.

"You're a good person, you know that?" Akira admitted.

"Hey, even Evil has standards." Miyabi responded with a smile before heading for the train station while wiping some sweat off her head.

(Hebijo Hideout)

"I think I have enough time to check on Yomi-chan's beansprouts before I go back to work..." Haruka muttered as she checked her phone. "Hopefully her irrigation system is still working." She then added.

However as she entered the hideout, Haruka sighed. It was dark.

After switching on the lights, it became apparent. The irrigation system her fellow blonde had set up had collapsed a while ago. "Why couldn't you just put it outside?" She soon questioned as she cleaned up the mess.

Once she moved the pile of now-useless-scraps out of the way, she couldn't help but note the beansprout plants looked okay, very few dead plants. Maybe the failure was more recent than she thought.

"They all seem healthy..." Haruka muttered as she crouched down low to the dirt. At the very least, her fellow blonde's ramblings on beansprouts had given her enough knowledge to know whether to intervene or not. "...Maybe I should take up gardening." She then added.

Haruka soon took out the dead beansprouts before turning to the...hot pink patch of beansprouts. "What in the? What are these? How many did she plant?" She got out in surprise before shivering. "If things go pear-shaped and we're forced to live here, we can live off these plants but I don't look forward to it." She soon stated. "Still, there has to be a reason for them being pink." She muttered in a curious manner.

Suddenly, her mind switched from a somewhat clueless gardener to the ultimate scientist as she ran through as many questions as she could think of. What sort of mutation did the beansprout experience to turn it pink of all things? How was it able to survive being underground and in the dark for several days? Most importantly of all, were these beansprouts an infantile state before becoming sentient?

Because that question had to be asked in every experiment she performed.

"I should probably test these to make sure they're edible." Haruka soon decided, plucking one of the sprouts out.

MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH!

"...It tastes about the same." Haruka muttered after getting a taste for it. "...You know, it probably would've been smarter to test if this was poisonous first before I ate one." She soon realized. She was blaming that on so many late nights at the clinic.

And that's where she noticed the broken remains of a test tube in the dirt.

"Hm? This is..." Haruka started before paling a bit. "Oh no." She got out before closing her eyes and...

Pfffffff...

"...Eh?" Haruka soon got out with a blush. "T-That was it? Passing gas?" She then asked. "But I thought that potion was..." She then started, however...

Grrr...

"Nope, there it is!" Haruka yelped as she rushed to the bathroom.

Not noticing that the beansprout she had just plucked had already regrown.

(8/21, Early Morning)

(Yongen-Jaya, Leblanc)

Akira yawned as he sat up from his bed. He had woken up a few minutes ago, but for some reason he couldn't find it in himself to get up until now. "Oh God, I did not have a great dream last night." He admitted as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Me either." Morgana responded as he woke up and stretched his limbs. "I really hope Futaba gets up today, or else we're screwed." He then muttered.

"Or Medjed gets exposed as frauds." Akira added as he got out of bed. "Really hoping for that one." He then mumbled under his breath as he got dressed. One more visit to Futaba, and then a trip to Shibuya to buy something that'll wake her up. Maybe a Creature to splash in her face.

However, as he went downstairs, he was surprised to see the cafe owner and the Vice Leader already here. Although, the girl was sitting at a stool instead of working like the Boss. "You're up." Sojiro greeted.

"Good morning, Akira-kun." Asuka greeted in a muted manner, smiling softly.

"Good morning." Akira replied with a blink as the not cat popped his head out of his bag. "What's going on?" He had to ask as he took a seat next to Asuka.

"Something...important." Sojiro hesitantly responded. "Give me a second to prepare." He then informed and requested.

"Sure." Akira responded with a nod before looking at the Vice Leader. "...You're here early, Asuka." He then got out in surprise.

"I just wanted to buy a cup. Enjoy the calm atmosphere." Asuka admitted. She then looked at the door and sighed. "Today's the day, huh." She muttered. No worry in her tone, no concern, just acceptance of what was to come.

"Didn't I say you should stay home?" Akira quietly reminded.

"I know but...I'm not the type to stay put." Asuka replied with a smile.

"An honorable trait." Morgana got out before sighing. "But it still won't stop Medjed..." He then murmured, causing the two to wince a little.

"Here you go." Sojiro got out as he slid two cups of coffee in front of the Leaders before pouring himself his own cup.

"Thanks Boss." Asuka replied before taking a sip of her cup of coffee. After that, she tasted something impactful from it, shifting from her seat a little bit. "W-Whoa. That's some serious kick." She confessed in an impressed tone.

"I noticed it too." Akira breathed out. He couldn't tell why but it felt good as soon as it touched his tongue. "Delicious. It's a wonder you don't serve it to customers."

"It's...a special occasion. A special cup, although I usually just make it for myself and Futaba." Sojiro explained as he glanced at the fourth cup on the counter no one had touched.

"Because...?" Asuka pressed.

"Today's the day Wakaba passed away." Sojiro answered, causing the two Leaders to freeze.

"Eh?" Asuka got out as she gasped upon hearing that.

"I do this every year..." Sojiro soon revealed.

"That's...a coincidence." Akira couldn't help but think.

"Futaba reminds me so much of her mother. She's a smart girl. Doesn't just go with the flow, either." Sojiro soon revealed in a nostalgic tone. "Wakaba...Your work and your kid were so fulfilling for you...Why'd you have to die so suddenly...?" He then wondered, his voice cracking a little.

"The world likes to play cruel pranks sometimes." Akira muttered, sipping a little more of the coffee. He wanted to make it last this time. "You just have to learn how to take the joke." He then added.

"...That reminds me, you saw me talking to that prosecutor‐ I mean, that woman in a suit, right?" Sojiro soon remembered, causing them to flinch. "I remembered you were really bothered by it. She might come back, so I guess I should tell you about it. That woman was trying to get information on Wakaba's research out of me." He then revealed.

"We thought as much." Asuka thought with a frown.

"You don't need to know what the research was about. Just know there was some trouble around it." Sojiro vaguely stated. "Obviously, Wakaba got dragged into that as well. Now, they ruled her death a suicide...but I've got my doubts." He then stated with uneasiness at the end.

"You think she was...?" Asuka began to realize, feigning ignorance.

"Supposedly, there were people who wanted to take her research and use it for their own benefit...Don't get me wrong though. I don't have a lick of evidence." Sojiro further explained as he shook his head. "That's why I haven't told Futaba any of this. I don't want to cause her any more trouble." He then added to his explanation.

"It sounded like she had suspicions of her own based on what she said in the Palace." Morgana remarked.

"Still, there's one thing I regret. It was right before Wakaba passed away...She told me...I think I might die soon. Please don't let them have her." Sojiro soon revealed, recalling the words told to him.

"She knew...?" Asuka muttered with a frown.

"I brushed it off, not really thinking much of it, but if I had just taken her seriously..." Sojiro muttered, sighing. "That's another reason I took Futaba in...Redemption. She went through such horrible things. Those heartless adults just yelled at the poor girl..." He then grumbled. If he had the strength, his cup would've cracked by now. "Hey...how do you heal emotional scars?" He soon asked.

"That's a really big question, Boss. Especially for someone not as learned as you." Akira replied. "But...big scars don't fully heal. It's messy and it'll remain for the rest of your life...but as long as you have someone there to make it hurt less, make the pain fade...you can live with it and smile." He then added to the explanation.

"Heh. You're a wise kid, you know that?" The cafe owner stated with a contemplating smile.

"If I was wise in the first place, I wouldn't be here..." Akira lightly joked along with a light scratch behind his head, although it did cause the others to chortle instead.

RING! RING!

"Ah, we're not open ye-" Sojiro was about to inform but was cut off as he noticed a certain orangette entering the cafe. "F-Futaba!?" He then got out in shock.

With that response, the three members of the Phantom Thieves turned and saw the aforementioned orangette entering the cafe with hands behind her back while wearing what seemed to be her casual summer attire, which consists of a black tank top with a Tetris image in front with a green tank top underneath. She also wore gray baggy pants with black laces on the bottom and green sneakers. And finally, a white hip pack that forms a monstrous face with the zipper as the mouth and green eyes was found attached on the side of her hip.

"Hm?" Asuka hummed out. "Ah! Futaba-chan!" She soon got out in shock with wide eyes.

Futaba then sat herself down on a free stool before noticing a coffee cup on the counter near her and attempting to drink the contents of it. "...It's cold." She then got out as she finished her sip and set it back down on the counter.

"Huh?" Sojiro got out, still in disbelief.

"You can't sell this!" The orangette complained as she gestured at the coffee cup that she just drank from.

"N-Never mind that...How did you get here...?" The cafe owner got out with a shake of his head, staring at the orangette.

"Uh...I walked." Futaba simply replied matter-of-factly. "Duh." She then thought with a mental eyeroll. Although, that probably would've ruined the mood.

"Obviously..." The Leaders thought to themselves however.

"...You're OK!?" Sojiro exclaimed in shock.

"Was that bad?" Futaba however asked in slight concern.

"Th-That's not it! I'm just shocked to see you out of the house..." Sojiro however stated in disbelief before trailing off, still looking at the orangette.

"Uh...I'm sorry I worried you." Futaba suddenly apologized with her head slightly down.

"...Ha..." Sojiro managed to get out, holding himself back from breaking down. "...It's all right." He then assured as he adjusted his glasses.

"By the way, what's the date today?" The orangette then asked.

"Eh? It's uh...it's the 21st." The cafe owner replied after thinking about it. "Let me go brew you a fresh cup, okay?" He soon offered.

Futaba nodded before frowning as her father took the cold coffee and washed it down the sink. "I feel like I'm forgetting something..." She murmured with a look of concentration.

"Futaba-chan, today's the day your-" Asuka began, however...

"I know that." Futaba got out in a quiet tone, placing a hand on her chest and letting out a breath. "But...I'm fine. Really. I'm here, aren't I?" She then pointed out with a small smile.

"Yeah." Akira responded before getting serious. "But we're talking about Medjed and the oncoming destruction of the Japanese economy that you have left until the last minute." He quietly reminded in one breath.

"Ohhhhh..." The orangette got out in realization. "Eh, let me get my coffee first then I'll take care of it." She then casually responded with a shrug.

"Seriously?" The Leaders deadpanned with sweatdrops.

"What? Come on, we've already won after all." Futaba reminded with a smirk. "May as well enjoy a taste of victory until we finish them off. Literally, of course." She then added.

"...You know what, I'll just make a cup of my own in take-out." Akira soon decided. "Could use a drink." He then admitted.

"That's the spirit right there." Futaba got out.

"Wait, does Boss even have styrofoam cups for take-out?" Asuka eventually asked.

"I prefer cardboard cups." Sojiro sighed out as he replied before noticing someone else working on the counter with him. "Oh, you're making a cup as well, kid?" He then asked.

"Yeah, for myself." Akira replied as he began grounding his preferred beans into powder.

"Alright, just clean up afterwards." Sojiro soon instructed.

"Sure, Boss." Akira responded with a nod.

And with that, Akira continued making his own cup of coffee while Sojiro was making one as well for Futaba.

"Alright, here you go, Futaba." Sojiro then got out as he placed a hot cup of coffee in front of the orangette on the counter. "One fresh cup of coffee. This time, it's piping hot like the way you prefer it." He added. He almost wanted to go into a whole spiel about everything he did but...her smile was enough.

"Thanks, Sojiro." Futba replied as she took a sip. "Mmm. Now that's what I call a cup of hot, delicious coffee." She then breathed out and declared.

"Alright, enough." The cafe owner however reminded with a hand placed behind his head. "No need to flatter me too much." He then added.

"We should probably get out of your hair now." Futaba soon got out as she hopped off her seat. "You gotta open soon, right?"

"Uh, yes." Sojiro coughed. It was past opening time anyways. "Are you heading back home?" He then assumed.

"Yeah. I'll keep the door open from now on." Futaba replied with a nod. "See you at dinner."

"Y-Yeah." Sojiro responded with a nod. He then grabbed the boy's arm and pulled him close. "Take care of her, you hear?" He whispered.

"Promise." Akira answered with no hesitation.

RING RING RING!

The sound of the shopkeeper's bell ring got everyone's attention. They all turned and saw a certain white-haired woman, this time wearing a crimson colored one piece dress and black skin-tight short shorts underneath, entering the cafe.

"Hey, I'm here. People around Shibuya are seriously panicki-" Miyabi greeted as she entered the cafe, only to go wide-eyed and her sentence faltered as she noticed the orangette. "H-Huh, F-Futaba! You're...You're..." She then started before eventually faltering due to genuine shock.

"Are you gonna stand there stammering, or are you gonna move aside so I can take care of Medjed?" The orangette told the white-haired woman with a hand on her hip.

"Oh, uh...yeah, sure thing." Miyabi eventually responded after that state of shock before moving aside for the orangette to pass through.

"Well, Miyabi?" Futaba suddenly started.

"H-Huh? What?" Miyabi got out in confusion.

"Are you coming with us or not?" The orangette soon asked.

"I...I'm coming with!" Miyabi responded with a slight stammer.

"You go do that." Akira thought with a slight smile, thinking on how the hacker and the white-haired woman relate with one another in more ways than one.

And with that, they all went outside the cafe to go to the Sakura residence to deal with their current problem: the international hacktivist group known as Medjed.

Leaving Sojiro in the cafe as he looked on to the door where the group left...before taking off his glasses for a second to wipe some small tears from his eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Wakaba." Sojiro chuckled. "It took a while, but I think your daughter is going to be fine." He then stated before taking a breath and started opening for business.

(8/21, Daytime)

(Sakura Residence, Futaba's Room)

After turning on her beast of a PC, she smirked. Sure, going outside was great but she was in her element sitting down at her computer. She had the whole world at her fingertips, the lives of millions of people at her mercy, and all they had to do was ask her nicely.

"It's my turn to help out." The orangette hacker said to herself as she rubbed her palms in anticipation before interlocking her fingers and stretching them outward in front of her own personal PC setup. "Hmph, Medjed. Now, how do we cook them?" She then added as she shook her fingers for a second before typing on her keyboard to begin her hacking.

"Erm...medium rare, maybe?" Miyabi answered with a shrug.

"Ooh...you want a little spice with that too?" Futaba got out with a smirk. "I can make it pretty hot. Aw, now I'm hungry..." She then added and complained.

"I'll make sushi for you. Just stop Medjed before their attack executes!" Asuka soon offered and requested in a slight panic.

"Oooh, the Vice Leader's sushi. Can it be one of those long and thick futomaki rolls? I could use something that is great for filling." Futaba replied and requested while explaining her reason.

Immediately, the two Leaders blushed to the request, though the Vice Leader blushed even more scarlet.

"Uhhh...should we...?" Akira began asking.

"W-We should...but..." Asuka whispered back.

"Futomaki rolls...that sounds good later." Miyabi admitted.

"I know what I said." Futaba casually stated. "Now, where do we begin..." She soon wondered.

"We don't have much time left. Are you sure you could do this?" Morgana meanwhile stated and asked.

"Hm?" Futaba hummed out before looking down. "What the- WHEN DID THE KITTY TALK!?" She soon exclaimed. "Am I still dreaming...? I-I think I need more sleep..." She then mumbled in a frantic manner.

"You aren't dreaming. The cat talks now, we'll explain later. Hack the mainframe or whatever." Miyabi waved off.

"Now hurry it up!" Morgana soon ordered.

"...Eh, I guess it doesn't matter. Let's get cracking!" Futaba declared as she fired up her virtual machine.

"She got over that fast." Akira noted with a sweatdrop.

And so, Futaba got to work.

Silently.

For the next hour.

"You're just tapping away over there..." Morgana muttered with a frown. "Are you sure this will work...?" He then asked.

"Mwehehehe..." Futaba softly giggled.

"Hey, Futaba!" Miyabi spoke up, trying to get the orangette's attention as well.

"..." And she was quiet again.

They could faintly notice the music blasting in her headphones, her eyes darting between screens, occasionally muttering something about laziness and running programs like SQL Memory Corruption Injector and FTPSprint.

"I don't think she can hear me...Talk about intense concentration." Morgana sighed in defeat.

"She does this all day...?" Asuka muttered. She didn't think she would have the sanity to do such a thing.

"God, this place is a pigsty..." Morgana remarked, his nose wrinkling. "It's a wonder you're about to concentrate. Have you ever cleaned your room in the past two years?" He soon asked, disapproval clear in his voice.

" ..." Futaba however just kept typing away.

"Didn't Miyabi try to clean it?" Akira soon asked as they looked at the white haired woman.

"Not really." Miyabi answered with a shrug. She'd been using the trash to hide in case the cafe owner came in while she was inside. "Well, if she's gonna be like this all day, we may as well clean it up for her." She soon suggested.

"Let's start with all the trash bags." Akira got out as he stared at the pile of trash in the corner of her room. "At least she had the mind to sort them..." He then thought.

"I'll go get the cleaning supplies." Asuka then declared looking towards the hacker. "Futaba-chan, where do you keep them?" She soon asked.

"..." Futaba however once more didn't respond. And even if she did, she wouldn't know.

"Oh, right." Miyabi got out with a sweatdrop. "Let's just get to work." She then instructed.

"Hai!" Asuka replied with a salute as she got to work.

(Homura's Shinobi Kekkai)

"Hayabusa!" A familiar tan skinned girl roared.

SLICE! SLICE! SLICE! SLICE! SLICE! SLICE! SLICE!

Homura, in her militaristic Shinobi Tenshin attire slashed through the air with power and speed from her six blades before charging forward with a cross slash before spinning...

WHOOSH! FWOOSH! FWOOSH! FWOOSH!

And changing her Shinobi Tenshin to her kimono style, her blades vanishing for her gifts from her teacher in elegance that she was honored to have, her own set of twin fans that her similar to the light gray haired girl's but crimson replacing the blue, as she unleashed torrents of flames that seemed to bend to her will as she moved with elegance and grace.

"Fire Pillar Fan!" Homura soon continued, though not as loud as before as she began spinning, forming a tornado of crimson flames around her, scorching the ground under her.

FWOOOOOOSH!

"Yosh." Homura quietly got out, a small smile on her face as she relaxed herself. "Freely switching between my two styles...will be an advantage in battle." She muttered in amazement to her results before falling to one knee. "Though it is exhausting...I'll need to train more to do so." She then breathed out.

Since she was stuck at home for the moment, Homura had decided to train herself a bit as a thought came to her mind since she essentially had two styles of fighting, she needed to practice making it so she could use both of them efficiently.

And since this was the first time she attempted this, she expected to get exhausted as a result...

THUD!

Right before collapsing to the ground face-first.

"A-A blunder on myself..." Homura muttered as she struggled to move, having only enough energy to disperse the Kekkai...

(Shibuya, Shin Megami Apartment Complex)

THUMP!

And land right on the couch.

"I guess I can watch tv for now." Homura decided, lucky enough for the fact that the remote was in her hands, pressing the button to turn it on, grinning at what she saw. "Yay! Another Explosive Heat Girl Magical Kyouko Flame marathon!" She cheered as the show started.

(8/21, Afternoon)

(Sakura Residence, Futaba's Room)

Cleaning Futaba's room was quite the job, even with three people working on it. It was actually a miracle they hadn't found a cockroach in here during their entire clean.

However, by the time the sun was beginning to sink lower in the sky, they had accomplished the impossible. The giant pile of trash bags was now outside waiting for a separate garbage truck to take them all away. They had dusted everything, wiped down the floors, organized her books, and cleaned her closet.

In a span of four hours, it had transformed from a hikkimori's apartment to a normal teenage girl...who really liked doujinshi.

Akira made sure to hide all that away.

"Whew! Done!" Asuka declared as she wiped off some sweat.

"Well, Futaba? We're done on our end. Are you finished yet?" The not cat soon asked the hacker.

" ..." Futaba however kept typing away

"She can't even hear a word I'm saying..." Morgana got out with a sweatdrop.

"I think we can assume Futaba is dead to the world." Miyabi stated. "Still, we shouldn't distract her. I'm sure she's almost done." She then added as she crossed her arms under her breasts.

"..."

"..."

"..."

If only "almost done" is actually true...

(Shinjuku, New Moon Apartment Complex)

Yumi suddenly yawned, covering her mouth. "E-Excuse me. I stayed up a little later than usual last night. Continue." She meekly apologized and requested. It was actually an understatement. She hadn't slept a wink last night since she was getting in contact with all her informants.

So far, the news has been worrying. ATMs glitching out, the stock market was slowly but surely crashing, rumors of bank account details floating around the internet...it was all a mess and she wasn't sure if she could keep up.

"Futaba-san, please be awake at this point..." Yumi mumbled as she finally allowed herself to rest a little and laid her head on the-

BZZT! BZZT!

"...Nevermind." The gray haired girl bit back a curse before answering her phone. "Hello, this is Yumi speaking." She got out as she glanced at her clock and silently groaned. She fell asleep for exactly two minutes.

"Ah, glad to get a hold of you." Her manager sighed in relief.

"I-Inoue-san?" Yumi shot straight up, clearing her voice and trying to sound awake. "Is something wrong?" She then asked.

"I'm sorry Yumi, but for the foreseeable future, we'll have to stop your training sessions." Inoue informed. "Given what today is, we're spending time making sure everything is secure." He then mumbled. This Medjed could very well reveal the home addresses of their talents, and that would destroy everything in fell swoop.

"Hai, Medjed is causing trouble for everyone." Yumi responded with a nod of understanding.

"Thank you for your understanding. Have a good rest and stay safe! You're gonna need to be at 110% on your debut!" Inoue responded and advised.

"I will. Goodbye." Yumi got out before hanging up. "Oh thank God, I can finally sleep." She then breathed out as she slumped off her chair and crawled to her futon.

BZZT! BZZT!

The light gray haired girl soon sighed as she got her phone, seeing who it was before answering. "Good afternoon, Rise-san." Yumi soon greeted. While it was always good to hear from her mentor, she desperately wanted this conversation to end already.

"Hey Yumi-chan!" Rise happily replied. "Sorry everything got canceled today." She then apologized.

"You sound awfully chipper." Yumi noted with a frown.

"I'm just trying to stay in a good mood." Rise admitted. "I mean I know the Phantom Thieves are going to take Medjed down, but we still have to wait for the results." She then added.

"I am sure they will." Yumi assured, mentally reminding herself to text her Leader on any updates later. "And then I can resume my idol training." She then added.

"Well, you have to get your practice in Yumi-chan. Your debut concert is only a few days away!" Rise soon reminded.

SHATTER!

"What was that? Did a window break or something?" Rise got out in a worried tone.

It took a few seconds for Yumi to respond. "...Eh?" She got out in shock.

"Huh? Didn't Inoue tell you that it is?" Rise soon asked in confusion.

"H-He didn't! I-I haven't even been fitted for my idol attire!" Yumi exclaimed and revealed in a panicked manner. This was the first she heard about this!

"Oh, you gotta be...Inoue-san..." Rise responded with a groan. "I'll give him a stern talking to about this, but preparing these types of things requires really tight scheduling. It's either then or not at all." She then informed and revealed.

"H-Hai." Yumi stammered out. "I trust you, Rise-san." She then responded.

"Good. Now, you better rest up because we'll have a lot to do from tomorrow on! We have a lot of work to get done before your debut!" Rise soon instructed.

"Hai, I will. Goodbye." Yumi replied with a nod before hanging up.

THUD!

And with that, her body couldn't take it anymore and shut down as she fell face first on her futon. "Zzzzzz..." Yumi snored.

(8/21, Evening)

(Sakura Residence, Futaba's Room)

"Zzzzzz..." Miyabi snored, still standing up straight with her arms crossed with a bubble from her nose shrinking and growing with her breaths.

"Mmm...Mallow-chan, it's too soon...You don't even have white chocolate...mumble mumble mumble...~" Asuka meanwhile muttered in her sleep, with both the Leader and herself sleeping on the orangette's bed together.

"Lady Ann...you're supposed to lick this part..." Morgana also talked in his sleep.

"I'm dooooooone!" Futaba suddenly declared, causing everyone to snap awake.

"Wh-What's up? Something happened?" Miyabi mumbled as her shinobi instincts flared for a second.

"It's finished." Futaba simply responded.

"Finished? What is?" Morgana repeated and asked.

Futaba soon blinked as she looked around. "Ah! It's...so clean..." Futaba muttered. "When did this happen?" She questioned. She totally forgot she had a floor there.

"We cleaned it hours ago." Miyabi revealed.

"Anyway, is it true? Did you really take care of Medjed?" Morgana soon asked.

Futaba soon grinned in response. "I handled them, and someone else handled my room...! I don't understand, but this is good!" She then added happily...before taking out a short cute looking cat-shaped pillow that was placed beside her on the chair and playfully flipped it for a couple of times. She then placed her head down on the pillow in front of her computer setup and-

THUD!

And...she was back to sleep.

"Futaba!?" Asuka exclaimed.

"You still need more sleep...?" Miyabi soon asked.

"Zzzzz..." Futaba meanwhile snored out.

"She falls asleep so easily!" Morgana breathed out in shock.

"Well, it looks like it's been taken care of. I guess we should get home and sleep too..." Morgana sighed out and stated. "You stay with Futaba for the night, Miyabi." He soon ordered.

"Roger that, cat." Miyabi replied as she sat at the orangette's bedside.

"Not a cat..." Morgana grumbled in annoyance.

"Just leave." Miyabi sighed out.

Nodding to that, the Leaders soon left, leaving the white haired woman alone.

"Now let's get you into bed sweetie. We wouldn't want you to get any back pains sleeping that way, would you?" Miyabi quietly got out in a motherly tone as she went to the orangette's side, gently picking her up to place in her bed...before blushing pink. "Goddammit, you're 21 years old, not 45...still too young to be a mother..." She then muttered in embarrassment.

She was really glad no one had heard her as she got herself into the bed as well.

(Yongen-Jaya, Leblanc Attic)

"Well, that was a lot more boring than I thought." Akira sighed as he sat on his bed. In all honesty, he wanted to go back to sleep as soon as possible.

"I didn't think hacking would take so much time." Morgana admitted. "And I'm really not so sure if she can take down an international organization in one day. We really should've helped her recover sooner." He then added in concern.

"Have a little faith, Morgana." Akira replied. "She had confidence back there. I know Futaba wouldn't let us down like this."

"Alright...I'll choose to believe in you who believes in Alibaba." Morgana sighed.

BZZT! BZZT!

"As if on cue." Akira muttered as he pulled out his phone.

[SushiRoll23: Good news everyone!]

[SushiRoll23: Actual good news. Not...sarcastic good news.]

[SushiRoll23: Alibaba-chan just took care of Medjed!]

[Sweetkat06: So, Futaba's awake?]

[TheWildJ0ker: Can confirm.]

[Shut7heFUp: Awesome!]

[Shut7heFUp: Wait, she ain't online though.]

[DarkEyeXI: She's asleep now. Taking care of her and making sure she actually gets up tomorrow.]

[Shut7heFUp: Seriously?]

[All4Painting: She must have been quite exhausted. I can't say I blame her at all.]

[Negative8Degrees: Hacking does require a lot of energy to execute.]

[TheWildJ0ker: It took all day.]

[TheWildJ0ker: Movies make it more exciting...]

[Road2Queen: If Medjed's been affected, it will surely make the news. That should be enough to confirm whether or not the deed's been done.]

[Shut7heFUp: Then why don't we all watch the news together?]

[SushiRoll23: Tonight?]

[FireGirl20: No...the news should spread by morning.]

[All4Painting: Yes. We should meet up at Leblanc as usual.]

[Sweetkat06: See you tomorrow, guys!]

"I really hope we're in the clear." Morgana sighed out.

BZZT! BZZT!

"I'm sure the other shinobi might be affected by Medjed, if indirectly." Akira assumed. "I just hope they're okay." He then got out as he checked IM.

["Haruka" has been updated to "DrSeduce"]

[DrSeduce: Good evening darling~]

[TheWildJ0ker: To you as well Haruka-chan.]

[DrSeduce: Moh, darling, please drop the -chan. I think we know each other well enough to be a little more friendlier.]

[TheWildJ0ker: Alright, Haruka.]

[DrSeduce: So fast!]

[TheWildJ0ker: What? I don't use honorifics with my close friends.]

[TheWildJ0ker: You've been silent for a while now, and you haven't snuck into my bed all week. Did something happen?]

[DrSeduce: I've come to a conclusion.]

[DrSeduce: After some thorough brainstorming and deliberation, I realize that the only way to cure cancer is through nanobots.]

(...)

[TheWildJ0ker: What?]

[DrSeduce: Well, according to my research and from known information, humans produce cancer cells every minute yet our immune systems kill them faster than they can multiply. However, unhealthy habits can and will accelerate the degradation of the immune system. So the only solution to this problem is to stop the production of cancer cells permanently by artificially boosting the immune system.]

[TheWildJ0ker: You've been really researching this huh?]

[DrSeduce: I really want to help others, including Minori-chan.]

[DrSeduce: It is quite fortunate since nanomachines is COMPLETELY OUT OF MY FIELD OF EXPERTISE]

[DrSeduce: I CANNOT TELL YOU THE AMOUNT OF SHIT I TRIED TO CREATE ORGANIC NANOMACHINES IT HAS BEEN A GOOD FORTNIGHT SINCE THE LAST TIME I SLEPT MORE THAN TWO HOURS AND I THINK I'M SEEING A DICK ON A CHARIOT TELLING ME TO COMMIT ARSON]

[DrSeduce: AND DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON NOW HAVING TO WATCHING YOMI-CHAN'S PINK BEANSPROUT GARDEN IN THE BASE]

[TheWildJ0ker: ...Pink Beansprouts?]

[DrSeduce: THEY'RE GETTING OUT OF CONTROL I CANT STOPITPLEASELETMESLEEPINYOURBEDIHAVENTSEENORCHANGEDMYPANTIESINTHREEDAYS]

(...)

[TheWildJ0ker: Sure. Feel free to come over.]

(...)

[TheWildJ0ker: Hello?]

[DrSeduce: Sorry.]

[DrSeduce: I may have gone a little crazy there.]

[TheWildJ0ker: You've been overworking yourself. It's understandable.]

[DrSeduce: I'm not even in the clinic right now. I'm at home.]

[DrSeduce: I'll be there soup]

[DrSeduce: Sock]

[DrSeduce: Seoul]

[DrSeduce: You know what I mean]

"...I don't like how that ended." Morgana admitted in concern. "Are you sure about this, Akira?" He then asked.

"..." The Leader simply gave the not cat a flat stare.

"Right, dumb question. I'll allow it since she seems stressed." Morgana sighed. "Hey speaking of her, has Minori texted you yet?" He soon asked.

"Let me see." Akira responded.

However, as he checked his contact list, he noticed something.

"That's odd. The Gessen girls haven't been online for a while now. All on the same day." Akira noticed. "Are they on a mission or something? They haven't messaged me since...I better not risk it." He then muttered, though was still concerned since he knew that their grandfather wasn't doing so well.

BZZT! BZZT!

"At least the Hebijo girls are still active." Morgana stated as Akira answered the text message.

[EMOSnake: Hey Akira. It's been a while.]

[TheWildJ0ker: Hikage.]

[TheWildJ0ker: Mirai isn't online.]

[EMOSnake: She's taking a promotional exam right now.]

[TheWildJ0ker: Oh? What'll happen if she passes?]

[EMOSnake: It's just proving she's ready for tougher training, and a new rank. Nothing more.]

[TheWildJ0ker: I see.]

[TheWildJ0ker: And how's Yomi?]

[EMOSnake: She's been trying to learn to cook.]

[EMOSnake: It has beenjjfndksfjiods]

[TheWildJ0ker: Hikage!?]

[EMOSnake: Ill text u back later]

"...Well, barely." Akira deadpanned.

WHOOSH! SMOOSH!

"Hey Haruka." Akira simply greeted, allowing the blonde to gently hug him.

"So fast!" Morgana exclaimed in shock, though then winced at noticing the bags under the girl's eyes. "She's been working hard, huh."

"Yeah, but she won't be solving cancer if she keeps doing this..." Akira then frowned. "I really hope she finds a solution in time..."

"The fact that she can get to a solution is enough." Morgana muttered. "I mean, it's way better to solve cancer than, say, turn people into dinosaurs."

"...She could definitely do both." Akira muttered.

"Do what?" Haruka mumbled drowsily.

"Haruka, go to sleep. We both have big days tomorrow." Akira advised as he laid down in his bed.

"That's every day for me..." The busty doctor sighed as she snuggled closer.

"Just...get some coffee before you leave in the morning. On the house." Akira suggested.

"Thank you, darling~" Haruka quietly cooed out in a grateful tone.

"It's not a problem, just get some sleep tonight. Please." Akira replied and requested in concern, getting a nod from the blonde in response. "I probably should follow that advice as well." He then decided as the two got into bed.

"Yeah." Morgana sighed. "Dammit, I feel too nervous to sleep. What did Futaba do exactly that'll take down Medjed?"

"I guess we'll see tomorrow...if there's a tomorrow to wake up to." Akira responded before frowning. "God, that was overdramatic. Good night, Morgana." He then got out.

"Good night Morgana-chan." Haruka sleepily got out.

"Night, Joker." Morgana replied as the three soon fell asleep.

Grumble...

"...We totally forgot to eat today." Akira suddenly remembered.

"Yep." Morgana groaned. "Let's go make a sandwich first." He then decided.

The Leader shifted a little, only to feel the grip around him tighten. "...Can't move, Haruka's cuddling me from behind." Akira responded with a sweatdrop as he felt her snuggling up.

"Let me go find some fruit then..." Morgana sighed before jumping off the bed.

"Thank you." Akira sighed before laying his head back down and closing his eyes.

(Hanzō Academy, Dormitories)

"Gah! I'm so bored!" Katsuragi suddenly called out. "Being on standby sucks!" She then added

"It's out of our hands." Ikaruga sighed. She was frustrated too, although she did her best not to show it. "With Medjed and the rise of the Phantom Thieves, the council will need us to be ready for whatever may happen, whenever and wherever." She then reminded, using the exact same statement their sensei told them.

"Too many evers!" Katsuragi called out in frustration. "The only ever I wanna hear is the ever-lasting bouncy boobiness of Asuka's boobs!" She then declared.

"Boobiness?" Hibari spoke up as she tilted her head.

"As much as I disagree with the...everything, Katsuragi is right. I miss Asuka." Yagyū admitted. "She hasn't visited or called since Golden Week." She then reminded.

"I know..." Ikaruga sighed out. "I am concerned for her as well, even though she is probably busy with everything occurring in Tokyo." She then confessed and stated.

"Asuka-chan is probably doing a lot though." Hibari innocently pointed out.

"And why the hell did they send her by herself again?" Katsuragi then exclaimed. "We totally could've helped!" She then pointed out.

"We're already down an important member of our team with Asuka-san gone, and now Daidōji-senpai has left for something important. If anyone else leaves now and another academy attacks, we'll be lacking the necessary strength to fend off the enemy." Ikaruga explained. "I trust she'll be able to resolve this and come back triumphant." She then assured.

"Ugh, there has to be something we can do..." Katsuragi grumbled as idly decided to check the Medjed website on her phone to see if those idiots surrendered already. "Wait, what the hell!?"

"Eh, what is it?" Hibari got out in concern.

Katsuragi only smirked in response.

(Gessen Academy, Elites Room)

These past few days have been a rather heavy one for the girls. It was a lot of running around between the school and hospital, making sure everything was fine and running smoothly. Only now they really had the time to sit down and relax.

Not that it made them feel any less exhausted.

"Everyone, please remain calm." Yozakura instructed. "The doctors are the best available to a shinobi. He should be fine." She then revealed.

"Yozakura, it's been 16 days and he still isn't looking any better." Murakumo murmured. Despite the mask, she didn't look okay.

"Kurokage-sama is still breathing at least, but..." Shiki got out in an uncomfortable manner.

"That medicine really did help Minori." Murakumo confessed.

"B-But I didn't...I didn't...I forgot to get..." Minori began to hyperventilate.

"Hey, it's not your fault." Yozakura got out in a comforting tone. "In all honesty, I should've let you stay longer in Tokyo so you could've gotten that last medicine. But you know Kurokage is a fighter. He won't let something like this get him down." She then confessed before reassuring the youngest member of the group.

Minori only whimpered in response.

"Huh, Yumi-chii just sent me a text saying she's gonna be busier than usual for a while." Shiki revealed.

"It must be due to Medjed and the Phantom Thieves." Murakumo assumed.

"And from the socials..." Shiki spoke up as she checked her various accounts. "Nope, still nothing." She soon sighed.

"There's too much going on right now..." Minori mumbled out "I really hope Yumi-chan is okay."

"Yumi will be fine." Murakumo meanwhile assured. However, with the look everyone gave each other, there was someone else they had to worry about more than their leader.

"I hope Akira-kun/nii's alright. The Gessen girls (except Shiki) soon thought to themselves.

(Hebijo Academy, Elites Room)

Murasaki had done many foolish things in her life.

Adding too much water to her instant ramen, ordering the wrong topping on her pizza, going outside, losing control of her Root of Calamity and nearly killing her sister, losing control of her Root of Calamity again and killing a Hebijo Academy exam representative, and pre-ordering a crappy game or two.

But this had to be the most foolish and reckless thing of all.

"Towel?" Bebey asked, looking into an open suitcase.

"Hai." Murasaki responded.

"Clothes?"

"Hai."

"Money?"

"Hai hai."

"Document for vacation time prepared?"

"Hai. Two and a half weeks long." Murasaki answered and recalled.

"Bras and panties?"

"...Laundry." Murasaki remembered too late.

"Didn't you say you wanted to leave as soon as possible? Come on! Go commando and leave right now! No one will know you were even gone before you come back! Why did you even bother asking for permission?" Bebeby encouraged.

BOOM!

"EEP!" Murasaki yelped but managed to use the plushie to muffle her voice. However, it involved sticking her head inside its mouth.

The stuffed toy promptly spat her out as soon as she stopped. "Ack! You taste like instant ramen and depression! Take a fucking shower and get clean!" Bebeby soon declared in disgust.

"Bebe-tan..." Murasaki mumbled before heading for her room's door and opening it slightly, allowing her to see the commotion going on outside.

"Yomi, we just had dinner! Stop cooking!" Ryōbi growled as she stomped into the kitchen.

Hikage meanwhile was already there, looking very unamused. "You did it again." She sighed out. "This is becoming like Haruka with her experiments again..." She then added.

"S-Sorry!" Yomi apologized in a panic while rapidly bowing.

"WHY DOES YOUR SHITTY FOOD KEEP EXPLODING!?" Ryōbi exclaimed. "What? You find packets of nitroglycerin lying around and think it's instant miso soup!?" She soon accused in a frantic manner.

"..." Immediately, Yomi was silent and blushing red.

"...How are you not dead?" Ryōbi deadpanned.

"And where did you get that in the first place?" Hikage soon asked with a raised eyebrow.

"From Homura-chan's room." Yomi simply answered as she scraped the oranges off the wall.

"That only raises further questions." Hikage bluntly stated with a sweatdrop.

It was right then that the eyepatch-wearing girl shoved the door open. "I'm back..." Mirai called out as she stumbled into the room before smirking in satisfaction with her hands on her hips and puffing her (lack of a) chest out. "And you are now looking at a great chunin rank shinobi! Bow down, mortals!" She then proudly declared.

"Arf arf!" Poochie barked out, running up and jumping into the loli's arms.

"Hehe, thanks Poochie-chan!" Mirai giggled out as she began rubbing the puppy's head.

"Really? Only chunin?" Ryōbi got out with a smug look on her face.

"Don't ruin this for me." Mirai bluntly ordered. "Wait, where's Ryōna?" She then asked in a worried tone.

"Basement." Hikage simply informed. As if on cue, they heard moaning echoing around the room. "Hm, if Homura comes back, you might want to warn her about that." She then muttered.

Or not and watch the fireworks. That would be more fun.

Meanwhile, Murasaki whimpered.

The outside world really was scary...but she had to meet him.

So, while everyone else was distracted, Murasaki stepped outside her room of her own free will...and snuck into the bathroom to wash herself after realizing she did indeed reek.

"You think they'll have bras with your cup size there? Or better yet, have some exercise equipment for your tubby ass!" Bebeby soon remarked.

"Bebe-tan, please!" Murasaki quietly whined while scrubbing her head.

She just really hoped he didn't think she was insane.
