Effie Trinket, just another Capitol puppet. The Quarter Quell begins and it suddenly shows that Effie isn't as obsessed with the Capitol as it seemed. The revolution gets going and Effie, who came closer to Haymitch than she would have ever expected, has to figure out where her loyalties lie. And her time is running out.

After Katniss wins The Hunger Games, three years of civil unrest prompt President Snow to demand that she brokers peace between the Capitol and the rebels. Katniss proposes an awful alternative, one that may end the rebellion but will certainly destroy both of their lives. (Katniss/Snow reluctant marriage)

Hazelle wants to rebuild, Haymitch tries not to tear everything down, and there are embers in ashes. or, Haymitch and Hazelle find themselves after the war.

It is a simple thing for a man to keep his memories and regret unspoken and chained within his depths.
