Nepal, 1989
It rained.
Sentinel Prime groaned as he got up. His head buzzed as he tried piecing together what had just happened.
That was when he remembered everything.
The fight.
The events that lead to it.
And the results.
He looked at his hand as he tried to move. His right hand covered in blood. Not in his opponent's blood but rather his own...
Sentinel Prime was dying.
And he knew it.
Damn it! Sentinel thought as he fell on one knee. I got too careless!
"Surrender." A voice spoke in front of him. He looked up and saw a middle aged bald man with thick eyebrows. His outfit was a deep crimson red with a black symbol on it. The sigil of the Guardians. "Give up the Matrix and I'll let you live..." the man continued.
"So you can abuse its power like you did with the Miraculous?" Sentinel spat. "I'll pass on that..." He tried to get up only for something sharp to go through him. The Prime turned his head as he realized who it was. "Straxus..." He growled, his eyes narrowing as blood seeped through his gold plated armor.
"Observant as ever, Sentinel Prime." The Destron leader replied as he pushed the blade further.
"So..." Sentinel groaned as he took off his red faceplate, "Not only did you cause the downfall of the Guardians, but you've also decided to betray humanity?"
"He just made a deal with us." Straxus replied, as the alien mech ripped his sword out of Sentinel. "I get your death in exchange for him having the Matrix." He kicked Sentinel Prime as he hacked up blood. "Hand over the Matrix," Straxus said. "Or I'll make your death painful."
"I couldn't even if I wanted to..." Sentinel Prime replied, smirking as he got up. "The Matrix won't choose you. It never will, not after seeing what's in your heart." This annoyed the Guardian, evident by him kicking Sentinel Prime in the face.
"Very well," the Guardian said. "Any last words?'
Sentinel Prime looked up as he put his faceplate on and said, "Till All are One."
SHEEEEEN!
Sentinel Prime gasped as he struggled for air one last time before falling over, the life extinguished from his eyes.
"Our deal is done, Straxus." The Guardian said as they looked upon Sentinel Prime's corpse. "You may leave now."
"Only if you give me payment like you promised..." Straxus bellowed a servo stretching out.
The Guardian nodded as he pulled something out of his robe. It was a small octagonal box with the Miraculous sigil on it. "To activate it," the Guardian explained as Straxus opened the box, seeing a ring in it, " you must put it on first and say 'Terrorize!'"
Straxus closed the box before bowing. "Thank you for your time..." With that, he ran and transformed into an alien spacecraft, flying off into the distance.
The Guardian kicked Sentinel Prime's corpse over, exposing his chest before grabbing his metal plating and ripping his chest open.
There it was, in all its glory. The Matrix of Leadership
A relic from a time that was long since forgotten. It was said that those who possessed the Matrix would be given untold power...
Combine it with the Miraculous and that person would be virtually unstoppable.
The Guardian smirked as he attempted to grab the artifact, only for it to suddenly shoot up and fly off in a random direction.
"No.." the Guardian growled. "NOOOOOOOOO!"
For the Star to rise, the Guard must fall...
