Spider-Man was now greatly concerned by the blackout and was speaking more to Captain Stacy about this.
"I failed to stop Max in time, at least he's still alive." He said grateful for that victory at least as he got taken away. "And without power he can't do anything. So that's a positive too, I thought I was screwed."
"Your day isn't done yet. The city is going to need help with this." Stacy said, looking over at him genuinely.
Peter nodded. "Yeah, I'm concerned about our mutual acquaintances."
"I warned her and her boyfriend to get home." Stacy replied with some concern as well.
He could tell this. "Hey, I'm sure everyone is going to be fine." Peter said to him trying to keep up high spirits and knew of course his friends were smart.
"You're right, we've got other problems. We need to keep the city in order. You need to get right on the streets." He handed him a walkie talkie. "You can use this so we'll be keeping in touch during this."
Spider-Man nodded in agreement. "Thank you. Looks like it's time to play." He said and swung off heading into the city.
Almost immediately as he started swinging through the streets, he noticed his first sign of trouble afoot.
A bunch of people were rioting, busting into a couple of stories and beating people up and robbing them too.
"Lovely, I'm happy to see we're all getting along now aren't we!" Spider-Man remarked and started webbing up some of the people causing trouble. "Now, how about we all relax ourselves and stop rioting! How about that!"
It seemed some of the people disagreed as one tried to shank him from behind, but naturally spider-sense beat non powered guys sneaking up on him and leaped up into the air kicking backward. "How insulting! I'm trying to help out!" Spider-Man went up to one of the hurt people helping them off the ground as the rest of the cowardice baddies ran off. "Are you okay?"
The citizen nodded. "Yes, thank you Spider-Man! I knew that Jameson guy was always wrong about you, he's such a jerk!"
"Thanks! Jameson is one heck of a guy! So, there is a police checkpoint forming a couple blocks that way you can't miss it, they're going to keep people safe until this is all over if you need it." Spider-Man pointed out to them.
Oh! Note to self, take pictures of self, as Spider-Man now, would be a great chance for pretty cool photos.
"Okay! Thank you!" They rushed off.
Spider-Man nodded happily. "Always nice to help someone." As soon as he said that, an explosion occurred a few blocks away from him. "Oh, that's bad. This isn't the time for fireworks people! Or setting fires!" He exclaimed, shaking his head. Now he rushed towards the explosion finding a building on fire and people needing to be rescued.
"Who'd do something like this?"
"Down with the techlogic supremacy and all these creedents who allowed for this nightmare world to be created!" Someone in a stupid green outfit excaimed.
"Yeah! Burn it all down!" Another dressed the same shouted.
Spider-Man looked at them and tilted his head. "Uh, fashion police? These people need to be arrested! Good grief, you people look ridiculous!" He couldn't help breaking out laughing at them. "Who are you people?" He asked and then jumped over them into the burning building going to bring people to safety. While he did his question got an answer, as stupid as it was.
"We're Neo Luddidies! This is obviously a sign the technological world we've been trapped in shall finally meet its end!" One exclaimed loudly.
Spidey ignored them saving everyone he could and webbed the two's idiots together once they looked threateningly at some of the civilians. As soon as everyone was out safely, he went up to question them both. "You two set this fire? Why? Cause you're scared of all this technology? Makes you faint from fear and horror?"
They shook their heads. "No fool! We're not alone!" He exclaimed ecstatic, as Spider-Man's spider-sense went off and he avoided arrows.
"What on earth! Arrows? I must be dreaming, this is ridiculous!" He exclaimed, avoiding the incoming arrows.
"Then stop moving freak and maybe you'll wake up!" One suggested.
He naturally didn't listen and started shooting webs at their bows kicking them in the face. "Real people are in danger, ones who haven't done anything to you wackos! What's the matter with you people?"
"They are contributing to this doomed world with its evil technology! Once you are dead we'll burn this city to the ground and start over!"
More webs got shot out at them and all got pulled together getting tied up. "You guys are out of your minds. I see a lot of bad guys are being brought out tonight." He said, shaking his head at them.
The Fire Department and some police were zooming in.
"That's my que, is everyone alright?" He asked, looking at everyone who nodded agreeing that nobody else was hurt. Spider-Man felt relieved by that and swung off back into the night.
After about an hour, Spider-Man managed to help out more people, mostly it calmed down now less people were in danger. Now it was helping people get to safety and keeping the peace. Much easier of a time. Until Captain Stacy started to try contacting Spidey about something.
"Spider-Man? Come in, we've got an issue." He said.
"Captain Stacy? What's the matter?" Peter replied curiously.
There was temporary static. "Captain Watanabe's station is under attack, unclear by whom, but they're going to need some support!"
"Right! I'm on it!" Spider-Man replied heading there as fast as he could.
He rushed over finding a bunch of gangsters opening fire on them, having them be marjory out gunned.
Spidey webbed up two of them pulling them up to a building to get webbed there for now and had a question. "Who the heck are you guys working for? You're not with the Luddites are you? Might knock you out harder if you are."
They looked at each other. "We work for Hammerhead! We're getting revenge on all of you for locking him up!" They exclaimed confidently.
"Ah, of course it's always Hammerhead isn't it?" He webbed them to the side of the building and leaped back down kicking a few of them down like bowling pins knocking into each other over, with them down webbing them up was easy enough. "Well, that wasn't so bad." Unfortunately he jizzed it, as an armored truck zoomed down the road heading towards the barricade. "Oh come on!"
Spider-Man rushed over helping the police getting the civilians inside of the building as the truck zoomed in crashing nearly into Peter. "Oh, this is very bad." He remarked as more of Hammerhead's goons rushed out of the truck with pretty heavy weapons all armed and ready. "Keep everyone's heads down!" He shouted out as gun fire started flying around.
"Die freak!" One roared with a large machine gun that was bigger themself.
"I'm really getting tired of hearing that!" Peter exclaimed, webbing the gun, grabbing it and breaking it apart, processing to knock them out with a punch, leaping out of the way of more incoming bullets.
More police zoomed down to support opening fire on Hammerhead's people.
"Hey! Stop firing, nobody needs to die today!" Peter expressed webbing all the bad guys lags tripping them over trying as fast as possible to web them all to the ground. After that, it seemed like it was over, until he saw one with a rocket launcher firing it at the building. "Oh no!" He moved himself fast, webbing the rocket pulling it down to the ground closer to himself causing it to explode before hitting the building, but did end up knocking himself back flying back. "That hurt." He stood back up as the police rushed outside arresting all the goons of Hammerhead.
Captain Watanabe came up to him. "Are you alright? Looks like that blast hit you pretty hard." She pointed out.
"I'm fine, not the worst amount of damage I had experienced today. How's everyone else doing?" He was concerned for the people inside.
"All fine thankfully. Hammerhead's people must've wanted to take this chance to hit us hard." She then said, looking angry.
"At least it's over now." He said, mistakenly.
Stacy went over the walkie again sounding in distress. "We've got people attacking us down here! Full on gang war!" He said with it cutting out somewhat.
"My big fat mouth." He remarked and rushed off yet again.
He rushed over to captain Stacy's position. I hate being in the dark like this, wish I could call MJ and Aunt May And Harry and Gwen. I need to know everyone I care about is safe, but there isn't time. Gotta stop this fight. He thought to himself seeing the as described gang war in action it seemed like only a block away from where the cops were held up these goons were fighting it out.
Spider-Man easily approached them and started webbing them up as thankfully, kinda, they weren't using guns surprisingly instead duking it out the old fashion way. Still it was quite chaotic and needed to be stopped. They were using blunt weapons and one was about to throw a molotov cocktail, which Spidey stopped and put out. Shortly he was able to web up all the bad guys knocking them all down and making sure they were all defeated. After he won he was about out of breath.
"Man, that was exhausting! I've gotten quite the workout today. So, who exactly are you jokers meant to be? Hammerhead vs Kingpin's remaining forces?"
"No! We're The Apocalypse Gang!" One exclaimed.
"And we're The Order of the Dragon Tail!" Another from the opposing side said.
Peter stared at them. "Right, who are you guys? You must be trying and failing to fill in that power vacuum." He realized.
"Wrong, this is only the beginning, a recruitment for both of our gangs! We're going to become stronger and you'll never be able to stop us." Another claimed.
"Oh, well you all are going to jail, so, good luck." He waved and swung over to captain Stacy to check on him as the police arrived to arrest them.
He landed in front of him. "Glad I got here, lots of baddies are coming out to play tonight. Please tell me you have an update on the power situation?"
"They're apparently close to fixing it. Thankfully, it seems like a lot of people are using tonight as a chance to go wild." Stacy replied, looking around.
"Well, I've helped out a lot of people tonight and I always feel better helping out. I'm staying out until the power is back on." Peter declared.
"Glad you are, the city would be in much worse shape without you." He responded and then got communication on his walkie talkie. "Sounds like more trouble, you should get going again. Another robbery, the idiots crashed when they tried driving away."
Spidey laughed softly. "Typically, I'll go there now, thanks captain!" He swung off going to catch the bad guys.
Later, after spending the rest of the night putting out fires, some metaphorical and some more literal ones, taking pictures too, the power finally was turned back on after a very long day. "Thank you universe! Or the power company, who ever turned it on, thank you! Finally I can head home, it's about time. Hated being out here in the dark for so long and seeing people panicking, I hope everyone is as grateful as me." He said from how excited he was to see the power back and headed home.
Captain Stacy called up Peter. "I'm sorry to bother you, with any luck you are currently heading home to be with your family." He began saying.
"I was heading there now. Why? What's up?" Peter asked.
"Unfortunately, during that black out another prison breakout occured, most were captured, but some incoming high value prisoners escaped again. Some orange flying figure attacked, blowing up parts of the prison. I'm not exactly sure who's escaped yet, but we'll know soon." Stacy explained.
Spider-Man was shocked and wasn't sure of what to say. "Is there anything I can do?"
"I'm afraid not, this happened hours ago. We had no idea it was happening, it makes sense someone would use the blackout to their advantage. Getting more of your enemies back on the streets. I'll let you know as soon as I'm aware of the damages. So fair, the only confirmed escapees of note are Hammerhead and the Enforcers." He revelved sounding disappointed.
Peter sighed. "It's alright, we'll put them back where they belong. I'm sure of that! Let's worry about it tomorrow."
"You're right, I'm sure Gwen was greatly worried about me and not to mention you, being out so long." He pointed out.
"Yeah, can't disagree with that one. Have a nice night captain." Peter replied and then hung up.
Man, what a day! Max Dillion joining my growing list of enemies, actually having civil conversations with Flash and Sally two people I never guessed would be at all nice to me, this power outage and now more of my enemies breaking out of jail! What a day alright, at least I can finally go home.
Elsewhere an old face was brought to a secret underground lair. It was Adran Toomes, better known as, The Vulture. "Where are you taking me? Who are you?" He asked the figure who broke him out.
"My real name isn't important, but my goal, well I think you'll be pleased by it. I'm hoping to take out my competitors, most prominently, Norman Osborn. You hate him too, don't you, Toomes?" The man revealing himself to be the Hobgoblin said.
"You want Osborn dead?"
He nodded. "Indeed! And this isn't the first time we've met, after all I helped you the first time to have your justified vengeance."
"The man over the phone! Of course, I thought that voice was formulier, I've remembered it well wondering who exactly you were." He replied.
The Hobgoblin jumped down from his glider. "Yes and we've got some work to do. Osborn will never know what hit him!" He exclaimed with a laugh.
Back with Peter, he entered his home finding Aunt May and Mary Jane waiting for him.
"Oh Peter!" Aunt May exclaimed, rushing to hug him. "I'm so grateful you are alright! I was so worried about you!"
"Thank you Aunt May, I was worried about you too! I'm glad you're here with MJ." He responded with a smile.
"Me too! She got here with her Aunt Anna just as the power went out. Quite a good thing we've got candles!" She smiled back.
MJ came over and hugged him tightly too. "Always happy seeing you too safe and sound, hope it wasn't too scary out there." She held him tight.
Peter chuckled to himself. "Well, it could've been worse." He admitted.
"You must be exhausted from being out there all day and night!" Aunt May exclaimed and yawned herself. "I can sleep well knowing you are safe now Peter!"
"Me too, Aunt May, go to sleep now. You need it!" He said waving to her as she listened and headed up stairs.
Peter and MJ sat down.
"Are you actually okay, seriously?"
"Yeah, I mean Max or Electro now kinda give my poor behind a whooping, besides that I'm alright nothing too bad happened. Mostly tried from swinging around all night helping people out. And a prison break that I'm concerned about." He replied.
She looked surprised. "Another breakout happened? Do you know if my father might've escaped? Or who has?"
Peter thought about it, he didn't even think about MJ's dad and felt bad for not thinking about it now. "I'm sure he hasn't escaped. He's still in jail."
She nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Hopefully not too many of your enemies escaped, you've already got enough of a butt kicking." She joked.
"Agreed, I've had it with getting kicked around for today at least. I'm so glad you were here when I came back. I had my fingers crossed for it, which is quite dangerous when you are swinging around." He responded sarcastically.
She laughed at him. "You're such a goof, please never change."
"I certainly won't be changing, I can promise that MJ!" He said, of course not accounting for all the possible ways it could change outside of his control, but he was certain no matter what happened it'd all work out.
They hugged each other and continued sitting next to each other, just now joking about their days having a nice time together, a great end to the very long day.

Hope you all enjoyed the blackout aftermath from the fight with Electro and the set up for what's coming next. I enjoyed having consequences for fighting him and failing in the end too due to the lack of time to find a solution being completely blindsided. If Spidey ever faces him again he'll have a plan next time.
I wanted to give a heads up that the chapter after this will be another crossover chapter, this time with White Tiger, Ava Ayala who I have a fondness for. I don't feel the best doing so many crossovers as Iron Man just showed up 4 chapters ago and Jessica Jones and Luke Cage another 14 ago I believe Though I do plan on having these crossovers with other heroes have more meaning like with Daredevil who I obviously adore and he'll of course return at some point. My intention was to have a breather after all that and what comes after, The Hobgoblin finally striking which will lead to a major turning point. It'll be a big mini arc and pay off a lot that's been building up. I'm hoping it'll be one of the best parts of the series so far. I'm super excited to finally be able to write it, after an adventure with White Tiger. Till next time, thank you all always for keeping up with the series.
In Response to CG
Your welcome I enjoyed reading your ideas you gave, I remember that floating around as well. I do partially wish that had happened, only due to how crazy that would've been to see it happen for real in live action. Though of course I'm far happier with how things currently are.
That makes sense that the intention was to reunite Peter and Gwen. I understand that would happen in a future story, it would be a major deal. I do wonder how her coming back would've played out and I like your idea for the epilogue.
About Mary Jane and the band, yes I do understand why you decided to go down that route and I do think it's the best choice for the direction you had thought of for the storyline of giving Gwen her own adventure. Along with it being clear Peter never got over Gwen's death with someone else. I will remember to refer to her as "Em Jay" if or when I write the story. Thank you for the reminder.
In regards to picking Miles Warren, I understand why it was a no brainer, in the comics pretty much his defining characterization was his creepy love for Gwen. I do like you wanted to make him younger, having him be older makes it even more creepy then it already is. Everything you said there makes sense and I'll use that.
I understand why you decided to go through with that. I like you took inspiration from that series, I do have a ton of nostalgia for that series and it's probably a show I could watch forever. I've watched it so many times I love the 90's show. Anyways I will go through with what you suggested assuming I do decide to keep making more ASM stories I like the idea there and I'm curious about how Simon Stacy would be really hating Peter, I don't think any of Gwen's siblings got much usage before besides maybe a sister during the 90's in the comics if I remember right. You can go into more detail if you want whenever you feel like it.
It's alright, she didn't have a very memorable role in the movie. You don't need to deeply apologize for that, it's a weird detail of the movie and I wonder how that would have progressed, more so if she did end up getting that movie with Silver Sable. I really do wonder a lot how things would've all worked out. Though yeah I'd like to have her become Black Cat in a potential ASM 3 if I do that.
That'd be a good inclusion to have been a part of it tying it all back into the stranger plotline going on in the background. I like the idea and I'd be sure to use that and I think you're right about what he suggested to Harry.
Regards to ps. That's fine, take all the time you need with that. It might still be quite some time before I do take a crack at the Spider-Gwen series so there is certainly a lot of time no need to rush yourself.
