Jasmine woke up to Tracey, giving her a gentle nudge awake. Jasmine let out a yawn as she remembered where she was.
"Morning, sleepy head," Tracey said quietly. "Are you having breakfast with us, or will you be going to the great hall?"
"With you, we haven't had breakfast together in a while," Jasmine said with a yawn.
"Then come on out of bed and get dressed. And we will go get breakfast," Tracey said, lifting up the blanket.
With some reluctance, Jasmine rolled out of the warm bed and from Daphne's soft body and stepped onto the cold hard stone floor. With some help from Tracey, Jasmine got changed into the maid outfit.
"I don't know how you are used to waking up so early," Jasmine complained.
"You get used to it. The first month is rough, but after that, you will wake up at this time normally," Tracey said comfortingly.
"Let's go," Jasmine said, walking towards the door and grabbing her invisibility cloak as she passed it.
"You aren't allowed to wear the invisibility cloak outside of the dorm," Tracey said.
It turned out it wouldn't have mattered as the entire common room was empty, and even the few portraits that were on the wall were also empty. Not that Jasmine should have been surprised, as it was 6 a.m.
"Can you do Occulumancy?" Jasmine asked as they walked towards the kitchen.
"Of course. I learned it at the same time as Daphne when we were six years old."
"Six?" Jasmine asked, shocked.
"Pureblood families have a debut ball at the age of seven. So we had to learn the most basic level by then so that no one could peek into our minds."
Jasmine felt even more down hearing what Tracey had said.
Tracey noticed and quickly added. "We didn't learn it in a single lesson. I don't know anyone that has. The basic shield took me four months, and Daphne did it in three months."
"So, how long should it take me?" Jasmine asked, feeling worried.
"Hmm, depending on how often you do the basic mind-clearing exercises, I think you should be able to do the basic shield in maybe two or three months."
"Two or three months?" Jasmine asked.
"Maybe less if you have some talent for the mind arts," Tracey said as they got to the kitchen door.
Tracey tickled the pear on the painting, which quickly turned into a handle, and she opened the door to a sea of House Elves. None of them looked surprised to see students so early in the morning.
A house elf ran up to them, not looking surprised to see Tracey. "How may I help you students this morning?"
"Can we get breakfast for three people, please, with tea," Tracey asked the house elf.
"Of course," the house elf squeaked and ran back into the kitchen and started plating food and putting it onto trays.
"And you aren't expected to do more than the first level of Occulumancy, which is just being able to detect if someone is in your mind. Though I know Daphne hopes you will get to the 2nd level in a year or so."
"2nd level?"
"Yes, the 2nd level means that you are able to detect if someone has messed around with your memories. It's also at this level when you can push invading people out of your mind. This is the level that most people get to and get stuck at or stop at.
The 3rd level is when you are able to hide select memories, and the 4th level is when you can not only hide but fabricate entirely false memories."
"You can only protect your mind at level two? And are there many wizards in the 3rd and 4th level?" Jasmine asked.
"Hmm, there are a few in the 3rd level. Senior Aurors need to have the 3rd level due to the confidential information they have access to. As for the 4th level, apparently, Unspeakables at the ministry are all required to have the 4th level.
"As for defending your mind, you can sorta do it at level one, but it's hard to do so," Tracey warned.
"Unspeakables?" Jasmine asked, confused.
"Yep, they work in the Department of Mysteries. And before you ask, no one knows what they do, just that it's very secret," Tracey said, seeing the question on Jasmine's face.
"Well, I will aim for the 2nd level. The 3rd and the 4th seem far too complex for me at the moment," Jasmine said as they walked back towards the dorm.
"We will be starting a studying group soon if you want to join," Tracey said, looking expectingly at Jasmine.
"Err... I think Hermione may expect me to study with her."
"Then invite her to study with us," Tracey said with a shrug.
"Is that okay?" Jasmine asked.
"Ya, she already knows you and Daphne are dating, doesn't she?" Tracey asked.
"Yes, but I don't think she has actually talked to you or Daphne before."
"So? She is one of your best friends we are obviously going to meet. So why not now?"
"I will ask her if she wants to then," Jasmine said as they got to Daphne's room.
Daphne had woken up during the time that she and Tracey were getting breakfast. However, she wasn't alone. It took Jasmine a few seconds before she remembered who it was. It was Daphne's sister Astoria, whom Jasmine had only met once before.
Daphne gave Tracey and Jasmine a warm smile as they walked into the room.
"Ah, the lioness is here," Astoria said teasingly.
Jasmine blushed at the nickname that Astoria had decided to give her.
"Hello, Astoria," Jasmine said in greeting.
Jasmine couldn't help but take a closer look at Astoria now that she knew the girl was ill. Again, she noticed the very pale skin that looked a lot more sickly, though maybe that was just due to Jasmine knowing that Astoria was actually ill.
"Come on, let's get breakfast," Daphne said, patting the bed.
After eating breakfast, they all got changed into their uniform, and thankfully for Jasmine, Daphne hadn't tried to make her wear anything that would be embarrassing.
"Is it okay if Hermione joins us for studying?" Jasmine asked Daphne nervously.
"Sure, she gets good grades, so im sure she is good at studying," Daphne said with a shrug.
"Ron may tag along as well," Jasmine added quitely.
Daphne paused for a moment. "As long as he doesn't treat us like we are Malfoy," Daphne said after a moment.
Jasmine felt relief course through her body. As far as she knew, Ron only hated Malfoy and the people who followed him about. She hadn't ever heard him complaining about the other people in Slytherin outside of Quidditch.
"Our first study session is tomorrow. I also want to do some private potion study with you," Daphne said.
"Okay, tomorrow, same place in the library?" Jasmine asked.
"Yep, as for the potion lessons, we can find an empty classroom for that," Daphne said.
"Cya Lioness," Astoria said as Jasmine dropped her invisibility cloak over herself.
"Cya snakeling," Jasmine teased back as she vanished and left the room, hearing Daphne and Tracey giggling.
"Hermione, do you want to join me and some people for a study group tomorrow," Jasmine asked as they returned to the common room after the evening meal.
Hermione looked a little surprised by Jasmine's offer. "Sure, im guessing Daphne is going to be there," Hermione whispered to Jasmine.
Jasmine blushed but nodded to what Hermione said.
"Okay, it will be nice to get to know them better," Hermione said.
The next morning, during breakfast, Jasmine found herself feeling very nervous about the upcoming meeting between Daphne and her two best friends.
"So, where are we meeting for the study group?" Hermione asked Jasmine.
"The library," Jasmine replied.
"Do we really need to start studying now? The exams are weeks away," Ron complained as they made their way to the library.
"Of course we do, Ron. The end-of-the-year exams are important," Hermione said with a huff.
Jasmine led them both up to the second floor and towards the room that Daphne and Tracey always used. As they got close, Jasmine could hear several people talking.
As Jasmine opened the door, the first thing she noticed was that the room was bigger than usual. After looking around and seeing far more people than normal in the room, she wrote it off as the castle changing the room to suit their needs.
Two-year groups had found their way to the room. On a big round table with Daphne, Tracey, the Patils, Susan, and Hannah were open seats left. On the other and a bit smaller one, sat Astoria with some of her yearmates.
"Hey, come on in," Parvati said in greeting.
"Hey, Susan, Hannah," Jasmine greeted as she walked into the room.
It had been a long time since she had seen both of the girls and actually talked to them. They didn't share many classes, and many people didn't want to be seen with her due to the whole parsletounge and the chamber of secrets.
"Hey, Jasmine, Hermione and Ron," Susan greeted with a welcoming smile on her face.
Jasmine looked over at Ron to see that he looked put out. However, Jasmine could tell that was due to studying overall and not who they would be studying with.
"So, is there a plan for what we are studying?" Hermione asked, looking around the room.
"Err, no, we are all just studying what we think we are the worst at and helping each other where we can," Susan replied.
"Excellent, so who can help me with the written potions. I know better than to ask Snape for help," Jasmine said, looking around the room.
"I will help you," Daphne said, closing the book that she was reading.
"Come on, Ron, you need some help with charms," Hermione said, pulling Ron towards the table with Susan and Hannah.
"We are going to go over ingredient properties, and then we will go over how they affect potions," Daphne said in a rare business tone.
It made Jasmine feel off-centre, not hearing the usual warmth that Daphne normally used when speaking to her.
"Right, I think that covers all of this year's ingredients," Daphne said what felt like an entire day later.
Jasmine let out a sigh as she looked down at the four pages of notes on ingredients.
"I will have a pop quiz for you to fill out tomorrow on what we just went over," Daphne playfully threatened.
Jasmine gulped, knowing that Daphne no doubt already had punishments in mind for every question that she failed.
"You done with potions, Jasmine? Ron wants to go get lunch," Hermione asked.
"Err, I guess I was planning on studying Transfiguration, but I guess I can wait till after lunch," Jasmine said.
"Well, shall we all meet up after lunch, then?" Susan asked, looking around to see if everyone was okay with the plan.
"Sure," Tracey said as she started to put her things away.
"More studying?" Ron asked. "We have been at it for hours."
"We have so many subjects we haven't even touched, and we have only done the material from the start of the year, and we still have to actually practice the spells as well," Hermione said, and Jasmine could hear an undercurrent of irritation.
Jasmine decided that it was best that she stayed out of it in case it turned into an argument. Personally, Jasmine felt that if Ron didn't want to study, then Hermione shouldn't try and force him to study.
"Let's get something to eat before we talk about more studying," Jasmine said, wanting to stop a possible argument.
"Are we good to leave out books in the room?" Hermione asked the room.
"Ya, I will lock the door when I leave," Daphne said.
"Cool, so we don't need to put the books back," Ron said, dropping the books on the table and moving towards the door.
Jasmine looked around the Great Hall as the trio walked towards the Gryffindor table. Jasmine filled her plate up and started digging in, feeling very hungry.
"How was the potions revision?" Hermione asked.
"Well, I now know more about plants than I think I need to," Jasmine joked.
"What are you doing after lunch?"
"Err, not sure, but not potions. I have had enough of that for one day. Maybe Transfiguration?"
"I just finished History of Magic," Hermione said with a rare sigh.
"Please let me use your notes," Jasmine said, fake begging.
"I don't know," Hermione said.
"Come on Hermione mental toture is inhumane," Jasmnine argued.
"Just my notes, that's all," Hermione said.
"Thank you so much," Jasmine said gratefully.
"I don't know why they haven't gotten a proper history teacher," Ron complained.
For once, Jasmine was in complete agreement with Ron when it came to having a teacher sacked. Well, she was also sure most of the school thought that Gilderoy Lockhart should also be fired. It was clear to everyone in the school that the man barely even knew how to hold a wand, let alone use it.
Jasmine had heard many of the students were making bets on what his exams were going to be for the end of the year. Jasmine didn't have very high expectations from the man given the test he gave at the start of the year.
"Didn't you say you had to meet Dumbledore at the end of the year?" Hermione asked Jasmine.
"Yep, but not for a few days yet."
"What is the meeting about?" Ron asked.
"Where I will be living this summer."
"Won't you be with Sirius?" Hermione asked, confused.
"That's the hope, but 12 years in Azkaban takes time to heal from," Jasmine said quietly in case people were trying to overhear her talking about Sirius.
"No doubt. Even people after a few months are never the same again, let alone 12 years," Ron said.
"Ron," Hermione scolded.
Jasmine felt a flicker of worry. Maybe she wouldn't be allowed to live with Sirius over the summer. Or maybe she wouldn't ever be allowed to live with him. For a moment, Jasmine was close to panic, and she looked towards the teacher's table.
"Jasmine, it will be fine. You were allowed to meet him and spend a day with him, so they must have thought that he was okay," Hermione said reassuringly.
"Ya, ya, they did. You are right, Hermione," Jasmine said as she calmed down after hearing what Hermione said.
"So let's eat, and then we can go back to studying," Hermione said, giving Jasmine an encouraging smile.
"You going to meet Dumbledore then?" Hermione asked, getting the attention of the entire room.
Daphne and Tracey looked up from the books they were reading to look at Jasmine.
"Err, is it that late already?" Jasmine asked as she pulled out her wand to check the time. Jasmine was surprised to see that it was already 8 in the afternoon. Making it halfway through dinner.
"Yes, I am," Jasmine said, jumping to her feet and putting her wand away.
"I will see you back at the dorm?" Hermione asked.
"Ya see you back at the dorm," Jasmine said as she quickly left the room and fast-walked out of the library.
Once she was out of the library, Jasmine broke into a jog towards Dumbldore's office. She only had an hour till curfew, and she didn't want to risk losing any house points.
"Black Jacks," Jasmine said when she got to the gargoyle, panting for breath. Her face scrunched up at the mention of one of the worst sweets in the world. It was the only sweet that Dudley wouldn't eat.
With a click, the statue jumped to life and started to twist upwards, revealing a staircase as it did so. Jasmine jumped on one of the top steps and waited as she ascended.
Once they had gotten to the top, Jasmine made to knock on the large wooden door, but before she could, the door swung open. Jasmine stepped inside what was becoming a familiar place to her.
As she walked inside the office, many of the people in the portraits looked at her and then started whispering to each other.
"Ah, Jasmine, please come in," Dumbledore said, gesturing towards a seat across the desk from him.
"Sorry, I am so late, professor. I got distracted studying for tomorrow's exams," Jasmine said as she walked over to the chair and took a seat.
Thankfully, Dumbledore didn't seem to be angry or annoyed about her lateness. "Well, as a teacher, I can't be mad that you are studying now, can I," Dumbledore said as he picked up a bowl and offered it to Jasmine.
"Lemon drop?"
"Err, sure," Jasmine said, taking one of the sweets and unwrapping it before popping it in her mouth.
Instantly, an incredibly sour flavour exploded in her mouth, and Jasmine's face puckered up. As she blinked the tears out of her eyes, she was sure she saw a mischievous smile on Dumbledore's face.
"So, my summer holidays?" Jasmine asked.
"Yes, you will be happy to hear that Sirius has had the Potter manor restored. It is estimated to be done by the end of July." Dumbledore said to Jasmine.
The news made Jasmine's happiness skyrocket. "So I can live with Sirius?" Jasmine asked, almost unsure if she had heard right.
"That is correct," Dumbledore replied. "However, I do have a request," Dumbledore said, making Jasmine's excitement drop.
Jasmine gave Dumbledore a questioning look.
"When I placed you at your Aunts, I tied your mothers to a blood ward that would make that protection last till you come of age at 17 years old. In order for that protection to continue working, you need to spend at least 2 weeks with your aunt." Dumbledore explained before looking at Jasmine.
Jasmine frowned. "Is the protection that important?"
"It's why Quirrel couldn't touch you last year. You would only have to spend two weeks with them and then not see them till next summer," Dumbledore said before patiently waiting for Jasmine to think it over.
For a moment, Jasmine almost immediately refused to spend the two weeks with her Aunt and Uncle. But her mind flashed back to her first year, and she paused. Was two weeks really that bad, not to mention her Aunt and Uncle would probably be too scared of Sirius to do anything to her.
"Just two weeks, not a day longer?" Jasmine asked.
"Two weeks and not a day longer," Dumbledore confirmed.
"Fine," Jasmine said with some reluctance.
Suddenly, the door to the office slammed open, making Jasmine jump, and her hand shot towards her wand. Turning around, she saw a man that she really disliked.
But the big surprise was the creature next to him looking very frightened. It was Dobby, the house elf. Mr Malfoy stormed into the room, fury on his face.
"What is the meaning of this, Dumbledore," Mr Malfoy asked angrily.
Jasmine turned to look at Dumbledore and had to do her best to stifle a laugh. The way that Dumbledore was looking at Mr Malfoy was the same way parents looked at toddlers throwing a temper tantrum.
"I am not sure what you mean, Lucius?" Dumbledore said, and Jasmine could hear a trace of amusement in his voice.
Mr Malfoy reached into his robe and pulled out a letter before throwing it at Dumbledore. Dumbledore picked up the letter and gave it a look.
"Lucius, as a former member of the board of governors, you must know as the school's headmaster, I don't have the power to remove you from the board," Dumbledore said, keeping a polite tone.
Jasmine wasn't sure if she was hearing it or not, but she felt she heard a hint of gloating in Dumbledore's voice.
"Don't play coy with me. I know you were the driving force behind this," Mr Malfoy snarled.
Dumbledore raised an eyebrow at Mr Malfoy. He then reached into his desk and pulled out a badly burnt book that Jasmine recognised instantly. It was the diary that Ginny had, which Jasmine had given to Dumbledore.
As Dumbledore placed the diary on the desk, Jasmine noticed Mr Malfoy stiffen up, and his face, for a brief second, turned ugly before he gained control over himself.
"What is this?" Mr Malfoy asked in a voice that even Jasmine thought sounded weak.
"I think you know what this is, Lucius," Dumbledore said simply.
For a moment, the office turned awkward as the two wizards stared each other down. And for a brief moment, Jasmine saw a hint of the wizard that even Voldemort was scared of.
Without another word, Mr Malfoy turned around and gave Dobby a brutal kick, sending him tumbling through the air and landing with a squeak. Jasmine instantly frowned at how Dobby was treated and was sure that he was willing to do that infrount of Dumbledore, then Dobby was no doubt treated even worse at home.
Jasmine was about to speak up before she remembered that Dobby said that house elves could only be freed by being given clothes. She turned to look at Dumbledore, hoping that he could find a solution to Dobby's situation.
As she did, her eyes fell on the diary.
"Could I borrow that, sir?" Jasmine asked, pointing at the diary.
"Of course, I don't need it anymore," Dumbledore said, pushing the diary over to Jasmine.
Jasmine reached down and pulled her shoe off and, pulled off her ankle sock and pulled her shoe back on. Flipping open the diary, Jasmine placed the sock in the diary.
Jumping to her feet, Jasmine raced after Mr Malfoy and caught up to him in the hallway outside of Dumbledore's office.
"Mr Malfoy!" Jasmine shouted.
Mr Malfoy turned around, giving Jasmine a dirty look.
"I think you forgot this," Jasmine said, thrusting the diary into his hands.
"This isn't mine," Mr Malfoy said, giving the diary a look.
"No?" Jasmine asked sarcastically. "Strange because Ginny told me how it ended up in her cauldron after a trip to Diagon Ally. During this trip, it turns out you took some books out of her cauldron to mock her father before returning them," Jasmine said.
"What an active imagination," Mr Malfoy said, sneering at Jasmine. "But what can you expect when you spend your time around blood traitors and mudbloods," Mr Malfoy said cruelly.
Jasmine's jaw twitched at Mr Malfoy's reference to Hermione. "Your son must be a big disappointment to you then. After all, he can't even do magic better than a so-called 'Mudblood'," Jasmine shot back, grinning.
Mr Malfoy's face turned furious, and he threw the diary at Dobby, who caught it before his hand grabbed the top of his cane angrily. Jasmine's wand dropped into her hand.
Mr Malfoy took a deep breath as he calmed himself down, something that surprised Jasmine. He straightened out his jacket.
"Do be careful, Miss Potter, or you could end up like your parents. The magical world is a dangerous one," Mr Malfoy vaguely threatened before he turned around to walk away.
Dobby gave a worried look to Jasmine at what Mr Malfoy had said. Jasmine whispered quietly, "Open it," pointing at the diary.
Dobby looked down at the diary before looking back at Jasmine and then opening the diary. His face lit up, seeing the sock inside as he grabbed it with his free hand to make sure it was real.
"Dobby!" Mr Malfoy shouted and turned around.
"Master has given Dobby clothes! Dobby is free!" Dobby said in a disbelieving voice.
For a moment, Mr Malfoy looked shocked, seeing the sock in Dobby's hand before he looked down at the floor and saw the open diary. It only took Mr Malfoy a few seconds to put the pieces together before he glared at Jasmine, hatred in his eyes, his face turning red from anger.
"Miss Potter?" Dumbledore's questioning voice came from down the stairs, along with his footsteps.
With a swish of his robe, Mr Malfoy turned around and angrily stomped away.
"Thank you, thanks to you. Dobby is free," Dobby cried, hugging Jasmine's leg tightly.
"I am glad to have helped," Jasmine said, blushing in embarrassment.
Jasmine reached down and picked up the diary. "So what will you do now, Dobby?" Jasmine asked.
"Dobby doesn't know. But thank you, Jasmine Potter," Dobby cried one last time, and with a final loud crack, Dobby disappeared.
Jasmine walked back up into Dumbledore's office to see the old wizard with a large smile on his face. Jasmine was sure he knew what she had just done.
"The diary," Jasmine said, placing the diary on Dumbledore's desk.
"Thank you, Miss Potter. Do get a good sleep tonight for your exams tomorrow," Dumbledore said, giving a grandfatherly smile.
It was Jasmine's 2nd ever end-of-year feast, and it had managed to top last year. Largely due to the face, she hadn't almost died and then spent a week in the hospital wing.
"How did you find the exams?" Hermione asked as she loaded her bowl up with ice cream.
The written parts were easy, even the one for potions. The practical exams weren't too bad either, though Snape, of course, gave us the hardest potion in the entire year to make."
"Your potion looked a good shade of blue to me," Hermione said.
"Ya, but it's Snape. im sure he will find something wrong with it."
"She has a point, Hermione. Jasmine could make a perfect potion, and Snape still would find something to mark Jasmine down on," Ron said between mouthfuls of dessert.
"I hear that lots of people had problems with the defence against the dark arts exam," Hermione said.
"I didn't even bother. The written test was all about spells he used in his books. Most, I'm sure, are fake. However, the practical wasn't that hard to do as long as you did some self-study," Jasmine said as she grabbed her favourite dessert, sticky toffee pudding.
"Hmm, I wonder where Lockheart is? I haven't seen him at any of the meals in the last few days?" Hermione said, looking at the teacher's table.
"Maybe he quit from embarrassment?" Ron suggested.
Jasmine let out a snort. "I don't think that man has any shame at all. Maybe he was fired, though I am not sure why it took till the end of the year."
"They probably couldn't get anyone else to fill in for him," Hermione offered.
"The common room is going to be loud tonight, isn't it," Hermione asked.
"Of course it is. We have won the house cup for the 2nd year in the running. Fred and George have gotten their hands on butterbeer for everyone," Ron said, looking at the red and gold banners hanging from the ceiling.
"I am just glad there aren't any last-minute points being added. I could feel the angry glares last year," Jasmine said, looking around.
Too soon, the feast was over, and everyone was making their way out of the Great Hall and back to their common rooms for their final night of the school year. Jasmine felt the watch around her arm heat up, and she looked down to see that Daphne wanted to see her tonight.
The request brought a smile to her face. She hadn't had time to ask about seeing Daphne over the summer. Something that she would be able to do now that she was going to be living with Sirius for most of the summer.
"Have you done all your packing, Ron?" Hermione asked as they walked back to the common room.
"Yes, why aren't you checking if Jasmine has," Ron asked back with a hint of annoyance.
"We live in the same dorm, so I know she has already done it."
Jasmine toned them out as she waited excitedly for the chance to see Daphne. Thankfully for Jasmine, it wasn't long till Professor McGonagall came and ended the party that the house was having in the common room.
Grabbing her invisibility cloak and the Marauder's Map, Jasmine left the dorm and made her way down to the Slytherin house. Cautiously, Jasmine opened the girl's dorm entrance and walked down slowly, trying to be as silent as she could be.
Which turned out to be a good thing as she could hear people in the common room. Jasmine quickly dashed over to Daphne's door and knocked.
She anxiously waited for the door to open as she kept looking in the direction of the noise from the common room. Thankfully, after what felt like an eternity, the door opened, and Jasmine rushed into the room.
"You okay, Jasmine?" Tracey asked as she closed the door.
"There are still people in the common room."
Jasmine looked around. "Where is Mistress?"
"In the shower. She will be done soon."
"Is it just us tonight?"
"Yep, but Parvati and Padma spend most of the summer at Daphne's."
"I will be living with Sirius for most of the summer, so I could come to visit?" Jasmine asked.
"You will have to ask Mistress, but I doubt she would say no," Tracey said, smiling as she went over to the drawers and started getting Daphne's sleepwear ready.
Jasmine turned and looked over as the sound of a door opened. Daphne walked into the room with a towel tightly wrapped around her body. Jasmine gave a dry swallow as she admired how sexy Daphne looked.
All of Daphne's curves were perfectly accentuated by the damp towel that clung to her body. Her hips had a slight sway to them that Jasmien found almost hypnotic.
Before she realised, Daphne was standing in front of JAsmine with a knowing smirk on her face. The confident smirk sent shivers down Jasmine's spine and made her heart flutter. And brought out her submissive tendencies, and she squirmed.
Daphne placed a quick peck on Jasmine's lip. "Shame you don't come of age for another 3 weeks," Daphne whispered before turning around and walking over to Tracey, making sure to deliberately sway her hips as she did so.
Jasmine took another gulp before pouting as she realised that Daphne was just teasing her with her body.
Daphne dropped the towel, keeping her back to Jasmine so that she could only get the most subtle of views as she got dressed into her sleepwear.
Once she was dressed, she turned back around to face Jasmine. "Come on, let's get into bed," Daphne said with a wink.
Jasmine wasted no time and rushed over to get changed into the sleepwear that she kept in Daphne's room and then rushed into the bed to cuddle with Daphne.
Daphne let out a giggle at Jasmine's performance.
"Can we meet over the summer Mistress?" Jasmine asked shyly.
"Did you think we wouldn't be?" Daphne asked, sounding surprised.
"I wasn't sure. If I was still living with my Aunt and Uncle, then there was no way they would have let me," Jasmine admitted, embarrassed.
Daphne let out a snort. "As if they would have had a choice in the matter," Daphne said, scoffing.
Daphne wrapped her arms around Jasmine and, pulled tightly against her body and kissed the back of her neck. "I have a surprise for you for the end part of the summer holidays. I haven't picked out a day just yet, so I will let you know either when I see you during summer or via your watch."
Jasmine shivered as she felt Daphne's hot breath on the back of her neck. "I can't see you for the first two weeks, Mistress. There are protections around my aunt's and uncle's house that require me to spend two weeks a year there," Jasmine said as she pressed her body back against Daphne's.
"Fine, but you have to send me owls," Daphne said after a moment of silence.
"Sure, I will send you letters, Mistress," Jasmine said easily.
"Come on, Tracey, join us," Daphne called out.
With Tracey in the bed, Jasmine leaned against Daphne and closed her eyes, taking in the sweet and floral scent that clung to her body from the shower.
"You will also need to show me where you get your bath stuff, Mistress," Jasmine mumbled.
"This is from a muggle shop. We can go over the summer. You will no doubt need new clothes by the start of next year anyway," Daphne said as she gently ran her fingers through Jasmine's hair.
Jasmine let out a yawn and drifted off to sleep.
Far too soon for Jasmine's liking, it was morning, and she was forced to get up. Unsurprisingly for Jasmine, Tracey had already woken up and started to pack everything in the room away into two trunks.
"I made you a cup of hot chocolate," Tracey said, seeing Jasmine stretching awake.
"Thank you," Jasmine said as she lifelessly got out of the bed and walked over to the up.
Jasmine looked over at Daphne, wondering if she should wake her up to say goodbye. After all, it would be at least two weeks before they could see each other again.
"I will tell her you said goodbye, and we can meet up during the two weeks you are at your aunt's. After all, you wanted to buy some of the same body wash that Daphne uses, didn't you?" Tracey asked.
Jasmine's face lit up with a smile at the idea of shopping with Daphne. She quickly changed into her clothes from last night and grabbed her invisibility cloak before saying, "Okay, cya soon then," and leaving the room. And making her way back to the Gryffindor house.
As to be expected, the common room was very busy with students who waited till the last moment to start packing.
People from all seven years were rushing around, either picking up random items they had forgotten to pack or helping friends. Jasmine was glad that she had done it a day before the last day.
Walking into the 2nd year girls' dorm, only Lavander was still packing her clothes away.
"Hey?" Hermione greeted with a knowing tone.
"Would you like to come over during the summer? Jasmine asked Hermione, getting a look of surprise.
"I mean, I will be living with Sirius, so you could..." Jasmine said, feeling awkward.
"I would love to. I am in France for the first two weeks, but after that, I can come over whenever," Hermione said.
Soon, it was time for the journey home on the Hogwarts Express. Jasmine, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny got a compartment to themselves. They spent the rest of the trip home playing Exploding Snap and eating the sweets that Jasmine had bought.
Jasmine had managed to add several cards to her chocolate frog card collection. Though most of them she hadn't ever heard of, having died hundreds of years ago. Jasmine thought it was telling that she learned more about past wizards from chocolate frog cards than the history of magic lesson.
"You know, I don't think I have told my aunt or uncle about Sirius being free or that I will be spending most of the summer with him," Jasmine said as they got closer to Kings Cross station.
"Maybe Dumbledore has told them?" Hermione suggested.
"We are about to find out," Ron said as the Hogwarts Express slowed and finally came to a stop.
"Well, let's go then," Jasmine said, anticipating the upcoming scene.
Jasmine was one of the first off the train, and she looked around the platform for Sirius. It took her a few looks before she finally noticed him.
He looked like a completely different man compared to when she had last seen him. Gone was the long, ratty hair. Now, it had clearly been cared for, and his face was clean-shaven.
He was wearing a robe that would easily pass for a suit, and it gave him an air of confidence and authority. She also noticed that everyone else around him was keeping their distance, and some even had a look of worry on their face.

"He did, and I have already thought of a perfect solution," Sirius said with a mischievous smile.
Jasmine gave Sirius a curious look, but it seemed he was keeping it a surprise.
