The bright sunny day turned to night as black smoke from fires. The harbor was a prime target for the sirens, Shepherd was thrown from the explosions into the water. Parts of his uniform being torn off from the force of the explosions. Shepherd looks up at New York from the water, some of the skyscrapers have been hit. Then as quickly as the attack started, it ended. No more sirens, just the sounds of fire and the waves.

"Sir, are you alright?" A female voice asks him, the voice coming from behind him. Shepherd turns in the water and sees a ship girl as she stands on the water with a bow. She had pure white hair and purple eyes. She wears a sleeveless white vest, black short skirt with gold lining, and a black, sleeved cape with a red interior. Her riggings appear at her left side, and she is often seen holding a black bow with the island of an aircraft carrier bisecting the bow. She is holding onto a small boat and using herself as the engine. There are already a few people on, people who were thrown into the water

"Enterprise" Shepherd says. He moves over to the boat and helps himself into the boat. He stands facing Enterprise. She faces him, her eyes narrowing at Shepherd before an old memory resurfaces.

"Shepherd" She says, looking at him with widened eyes. Shepherd smiles that she remembers him.

"We can talk once we get on land" Enterprise nods at this, and moves the boat near a ladder on the harbor. One by one people climb the ladder with Shepherd being the last man up. Enterprise pauses for a moment before her rigging begins to glow and she slowly begins to float, a Yorktown class aircraft carrier appears in the harbor with Douglas scout/ dive bombers flying off it. Enterprise slowly floats down to the ground, gently landing in front of Shepherd.

"What the hell happened Ent?" Shepherd asks Enterprise.
"I don't know" She pauses and sighs heavily.

"This should've never happened" Enterprise finishes. Shepherd begins to say something but is interrupted by someone behind him.

"Shepherd" Shepherd turns around to see five soldiers in advanced combat gear walk up to him. The lead soldier's helmet opens revealing the face of an older black man, gray hair can be seen in his beard showing off his age.

"Anthony, good to see you again" Shepherd says, shaking his hand.

"Likewise Shepherd" Anthony responds with a smile. Shepherd turns to Enterprise.

"Do you remember Anthony?" He says with Anthony and Enterprise shaking hands.

"I can never forget what you did at Suez" Enterprise says, Anthony smiles and says.

"Just an old soldier doing his job"

"I need a sitrep Anthony," Shepherd says.

"Right, I have the 1st helping civilians with first responders, setting up checkpoints, and I put some scouts in the water. The 7th and 12th are on standby seeing if the Sirens launch more terror attacks, I'm sure the other legions are doing the same as well, scouts are in the water making sure there's nothing hiding out there" He finishes.

"Good, keep command right now, let me know about any major changes" Shepherd responds.

"Understood sir" The group leaves Shepherd and Enterprise to command troops in the city. Shepherd turns to Enterprise.

"We have a lot of work to do, Enterprise, sirens launching terror attacks, they want us to be afraid, we have to show them that we aren't, we hit them hard and fast, I need a second in command for Azur Lane Enterprise, you in?" Shepherd asks Enterprise, holding out his hand. Enterprise widens her eyes slightly at the offer, but also at the fact that Shepherd is the Commander of Azur Lane now. Enterprise weighs her options. She remembers when she first met Shepherd, hostility was her only memory, but the Commander had asked her to work with him. After a dozen or so joint missions they had learned to respect each other. Here was the chance to work with him for much longer then their previous joint missions. She raises her hands and shakes his hand.

"I'm in"

What do you think, should I go faster with the plot, less describing, more dialogue? Leave a review, always appreciated.
