Shepherd stands next to the edge of an Aircraft Carrier. He wears his Legion combat exo armor. The world invested a lot of resources into military technology and material creation. His exo suit had more protection than the standard soldiers of the Legion, able to combat humanoid sirens in CQC, and even protect the wearer from direct hits from both Siren and Shipgirl weapons but it unable to protect the wearer if they are hit by a full size shell from either Siren drones or from the weapons of the ship itself from Shipgirls when not in rigging. Many Shipgirls have different ways of destroying an enemy, armor can't count of all forms of weaponry. Shepherd exo combat is all black with armor plating across the armor, with the heaviest plates in the most vital areas. The Legion armor has many design features, one design in all variants of the armor is the capability of being able to fight and walk on water, directly inspired by how Shipgirls do the same thing.

He looks down at the water below. It was the same position that many friends had been, the trauma of the war. Most were good at hiding it, when they finally did jump into the water, never to be seen again, not many people were surprised. He had thought about it before, but never to the extent of acting upon those thoughts. Enterprise walks next to him and salutes him.

"Sir," Shepherd sighs.

"I'm not a part of the military Enterprise, you don't have to do that" He explains.

"We're getting near to the location Commander" Enterprise says.

"Already told you Enterprise, just use my name for now, when things get formal, then we can use rank" Shepherd responds. Shepherd and Enterprise standing near the edge of her aircraft carrier, looking at the horizon.
"When we get to our destination let the Legion do their part first, then let the fleet finish them" Shepherd tells Enterprise.

"I'm guessing that involves all of the equipment behind us" She responds, both of them turn around to look at the few dozen multiple rocket launch systems currently parked on the deck, with dozens of personnel looking them over and relaxing before the start of the operation.

"Yes, they'll launch the first strike along with launchers on the British fleet coming from the east, we'll rain hell as long as we can to let the shipgirls get close. You, Hornet and Illustrious will be held back since all of the equipment is on your three decks."

"Just how many ships were you able to get for this op?" Enterprise asks Shepherd. Shepherd thinks about it before taking out a small piece of paper.

"Quite a few, the Brits wanted their Force H fleet to go on a small operation before resuming their ships operations and to get some of their crews more experience and from the States we got quite a few ships from the Atlantic fleet, 38 ships in total, 18 US, 20 British, 17 Shipgirls and 21 Standard Ships"

"That's a bit overkill isn't it" Enterprise acts.

"We have 3 small siren bases south of Iceland, usually they would be a big problem but they've been moving north recently and threatening both Iceland and the shipping lanes in the area, we take those bases out and free up space, plus if we take those out, the organization will get some political points from not only the UK and the US, but also Northern Europe and Russia. We keep those trade routes open, we keep everyone alive and not starving" Shepherd explains.

"I understand," Enterprise says.

"You and I will probably be doing a lot of these missions for the foreseeable future. Going across the world and taking command of forces conducting operations. We probably won't get a lot of free time because of it" Shepherd tells Enterprise. Enterprise sighs at the information.

"Lots of work as always," She says. Shepherd is about to respond but the vibration of a phone cuts him off. Enterprise jumps a bit before she realizes that it's your phone in her jacket pocket. Taking it out, her face fills with dread.

"Who is it?" Shepherd asks.

"I forgot to call Belfast" Enterprise says walking away and taking the call. Series of "Sorrys" can be heard as Enterprise is presumably going to lose this conversation. Shepherd chuckles at the sight. He looks back at the horizon know that soon the operation will begin.
