It took another fifteen minutes for Saitama to lead Mitsumi to the others. He simply couldn't get enough of her, and she was still glowing a bit from what he did to her. He just kept her in his lap as they went over different recipes on what to make. He whispered softly to her to make her blush and giggle back.
"Master, do you plan to try training with her?" Genos asked.
"Ah…training…maybe. Sparring against her? No. I can train with her to make some form of a dual attack, though. Now that I think about it," Saitama mused. She looked at him with a form of delight.
"A married team should have an awesome combo attack," Fubuki nodded.
"Huh! I didn't think about that," Kianna said and looked at King.
"Ah…we'll talk about it later," he said calmly. He knew there were other heroes in the room that didn't know his full secret. When Saitama's phone rang, Tacki was quick to bring it over.
"Hello? Ah. She's here. Okay. Well, she didn't like the name picked for her. Inichi found out. She wants Fan Dancer. Yes. Good. So…you can't change my name? Oh. Too set up…fine. Ugh. Anyways, we will be there tomorrow. No, this is a day off. Why? But…no!" Saitama argued.
"They want me in there now?" Mitsumi frowned hard.
"They do…" Saitama grumbled.
"No. I will go tomorrow. I need to rest and recover," she said sternly. Saitama scowled at the answer and put the call on speaker.
"Miss Takashi, I understand you need rest. However, we cannot wait on this," the voice of the important man said. "We can set the name you want right now. We just need your photograph to put in our systems. Please? It should be no more than an hour of your time."
"Saitama…" she cringed and snuggled into him. He growled and thought over everything carefully.
"If we go in today, then we are not to be contacted tomorrow," Saitama said now. "Twice we were supposed to have a day off. It's been pushed back."
"I can't make that promise," the important man said.
"Ugh…" she frowned and looked at Saitama.
"Fine. We'll go down there and get this done," he muttered.
"You don't need to come down, Caped Baldy," the important man said.
"Ah, what?" Saitama asked with a slight edge to his tone. "Where she goes, I go. No exceptions. Ever."
"Oh. Okay," he agreed. The phone was disconnected after that, and they both looked at each with heavy sighs of disbelief.
"Are we changing clothes again?" she frowned. They had dressed in civilian clothes to relax and she was loathe to change her clothes yet again.
"Yeah. At least I get to see you in that ultra-sexy outfit with awesome colors," he grinned and kissed her. "Sweet Mask didn't like the colors. He can stuff it. Perfectly fine by me."
"Exactly," Mitsumi nodded.
"If we go now we will make good time," Inichi said.
"I'll go, too," Fubuki nodded. Then she blinked when her phone rang. "Hello? Oh. I've been busy. No, I'm fine. If there was a problem, then you would know. If you want the truth, well…I've been dating. Yes. Not your concern on who it is."
"Oh?" Inichi gave a small frown and a slightly narrowed gaze. She reached up and rested a hand on top of his head to show that everything was fine.
"I am doing fine. If anything happens, you know I will let everyone know," Fubuki said and cut the call.
"This is what happens when you have to take care of super powered monkeys," Saitama said with an eye roll at her. "You should let them all go."
"No!" Mitsumi said. "Then those super powered monkeys may come here to see me! I can't have that."
"Let them," Zenchu grinned wickedly.
"Where is the walking cane?" Mitsumi asked Tacki.
"I can get it!" Tacki beamed.
"No! I mean…there's no need of that," Zenchu cleared his throat.
"I think I still have to slap you…" Saitama mused.
"No!" Zenchu hissed and scowled. They looked at the door when Rendor walked in with Tatsumaki sleeping against his shoulder. He was carrying a bag with him, and he was quick to walk to a table to dump the contents. Saitama's jaw dropped at the gold coins and money.
"Saitama was right. There's a lot. I was able to find it with Tatsumaki's help. We found the hole where the Monster Association used to be. It's on our purchased plot," Rendor grinned. Now he took out a map and showed Inichi the exact pinpoint. "Focus there and bring up the rest. We can clean out a room to store it all in. I know funds don't matter, but…it's nice to have a treasure room."
"Oh?" Inichi mused.
"What…how…?!" Fubuki gasped.
"I, ah…stumbled into the Monster Association's treasure vault. I tried to take some of it…I lost it…" Saitama sighed.
"But he knew the location. We found it," Inichi chuckled.
"Half of that is over three years' worth of rent at my apartment!" Fubuki said with shock. Now Inichi looked at her to chuckle. "Well…my lease is up this year…but…"
"You can put some away and use it as you see fit," Mitsumi nodded.
"But…?" Saitama frowned.
"Darling. Once we get married, money will never be an issue again," she smiled and kissed his forehead. "Even now, money doesn't matter."
"Ah…true…" he seemed to mope. "I like seeing it, though."
"Why do you think we will build a treasury of our own?" Inichi chuckled. "There is nothing wrong with it. There is more than enough to go around. It will be fine. You have my vow."
"Well…okay," Saitama nodded.
"Should we do an underground vault?" Rendor asked.
"That wouldn't be a bad idea," King nodded. Mitsumi moved to find a stack of paper bills to give to King. He gaped at it. "Ah…really?"
"Yes. It's fine," Mitsumi smiled. "Okay. Saitama and I need to change. Again…"
"Ugh. Yeah," Saitama muttered and walked with her into the bedroom. When he walked out, Kianna and Tacki moved in to help Mitsumi with her hair, makeup and jewelry. Then Tacki darted back out to look at the fans. He watched her splay out the deadly one carefully to expose the blades and study them. "What's up?"
"Hmm. I think…hey! Zenchu!" Tacki said.
"Huh?" Zenchu asked from where he was on his couch.
"How thin can you slice steel? Think you can make these?" Tacki asked. Zenchu now moved to study the razor blades and mused over what he could try. Inichi was quick to bring in a short beam of steel, and Zenchu now exposed a claw to sliver off pieces of it. Tacki studied them and frowned. "No. Too thick. We'll need to see if we can replicate the blades. Look. They have notches to fit together on closing and opening out. If we can get some clay imprints, maybe we can go to a knife maker. They may be able to help us for the right price."
"That is a sound idea," Inichi nodded.
"You have to think of the style of the fan, too. The way they open and close. You remade that just fine. But to hold blades? That takes a lot of finesse," Zenchu muttered on studying a basic fan set to the deadly ones. "But, yeah. If we can get the blades, we can make the fans. Or you can."
"I know. We'll look around for someone that can help us," Tacki nodded.
"What did you need?" Kamikaze asked when he finally came back inside. "I sent Iaian on a mission to get me some grilled eel."
"We want to make another fan set, but we need someone who can make the blades," Tacki said and showed him.
"Wow…yeah. That's some intricate stuff," Kamikaze said. "But…I think I may know someone. There is a guy that made my swords. I can see about contacting him to ask."
"That would be wonderful!" Tacki beamed.
"And, eh…what's with the cash?" Kamikaze asked with a look of surprise.
"It was from the Monster Association. We found the treasure room," Saitama grinned. "So…if you need a little, let us know. Pay off some debts."
"I may have to take you up on that! I also had another idea about, eh, Kamiko's curse thing. If she goes back to the jungle…will it revert?" Kamikaze asked. Now they all seemed to pause with shock at the idea.
"I…never thought of that…" Kamiko said from where she was by the kitchen. "I mean…huh!"
"Master?" Genos asked. "Do you think we can?"
"We need to try that!" Saitama nodded. "Maybe after we get back from the Hero Association. They want to install Mitsumi now."
"Huh. Okay. Does Bane know?" Kamikaze grinned.
"He does now," Inichi nodded.
"Okay, I'm ready," Mitsumi said when she walked out. When she saw her fans, she frowned softly. "What's this?"
"We want to make more, but we were studying the blades," Tacki said. "Also, Kamikaze had an amazing idea! We take Kamiko back to the jungle where she got the charm! See if the curse lifts!"
"Oh! Yes!" Mitsumi nodded. "After the Hero Association? That is too important to not try. We just have to see if it works."
"Can do," Saitama nodded. "Not sure about dinner, then…"
"We may have time with Inichi flying us around," Mitsumi smiled. She was able to collect the fans to set back at her sides. Now that they were leaving the apartment, it was carefully locked up. The small group began to head out when a strange whistling was heard. Mitsumi quickly brought up her bladed fans to catch and block what it was. On finding a shuriken star, she looked at Saitama with confusion. He now took the star and snapped it in half.
"Sonic. Come on. If it's not you, then who else would it be?" Saitama asked. That was when he saw the odd, thin man in black cloth. But it wasn't Sonic at all.
"I'm here to kill her," the man said and pointed at Mitsumi. "I just want to make this easy and report back. I don't have any issues with the rest of you."
"You now do have issues with us on attacking Miss Mitsumi," Genos said with glowing yellow eyes. "She is Master Saitama's fiancée! Answer our questions or face the consequences!"
"Who sent you?" Kamikaze asked and put his hand on his sword blade.
"Not your business," the man grunted.
"Okay, then who hired you?" Saitama asked.
"Still not your business," the man grunted out again. Then he dodged Zenchu when he was attacked from behind.
"It's my business!" Zenchu seethed.
"Stay back," Kianna said softly to King. He just nodded and got craftily moved away. Rendor growled loud enough to wake Tatsumaki.
"Hmm?" she frowned and rubbed her eyes.
"That man wants to kill Lady Mitsumi!" Rendor snarled out.
"Oh?" Tatsumaki asked. Then she looked at Inichi. "Want to see who catches him first?"
"Hmm. Why not?" Inichi chuckled. He made a blue bubble around the man, but Tatsumaki collapsed a solid building around him. "We need him alive. My bubble will protect him and keep him in place. Can you lift that, please?"
"Eh. I guess," she rolled her eyes and lifted the rubble. The man was stunned at the show of power. Now Saitama and Mitsumi both walked up to the trapped man. She was going to let Saitama do the talking.
"I'm going to ask one more time. Who? Hired? You? Tell me now," Saitama said with a dark look. He kept her at his side to show he was not going to let it slide again. The man just shook his head frantically.
"Was it Miu Takashi?" Mitsumi asked now.
"Ah…" the man grimaced.
"It was your mother," Inichi said with a small growl.
"Mitsumi is a class S hero now and soon to be officially ranked in. I am a class S hero. There are lots of class S heroes that know of Mitsumi. And she has her monster family that clearly took you out. Now you get to be interrogated. Inichi, this one needs to go to Sweet Mask," Saitama said.
"I know. Give me five minutes. He is now expected," Inichi nodded. "I'll be right back. I need to take him myself."
While they waited for Inichi, Mitsumi found herself lost in thought. Now Saitama looked at her and squeezed her. "Hey. What's on your mind?"
"I don't know. I mean…I wonder. Do you know how to play an instrument?" she asked him.
"Ah…no," he sighed. "That wasn't for me."
"Okay," she smiled.
"Why?" he asked.
"I just thought it would be nice to have you play something for me to dance to," she chuckled. Now he paused at the thought.
"I don't think I could even attempt it. I can try…but I don't know how far I could go," Saitama admitted.
"Even if Inichi put the instructions in your head?" Zenchu asked.
"Ah…huh! He did that with the dancing, too, didn't he?" Saitama blinked.
"He did!" Mitsumi said with amazement.
"I don't know if it would work with instruments, but…" Saitama now found himself smiling a bit. "What instrument you think?"
"I'd say a flute, but I'm not sure," she shrugged.
"Hmm. Okay. Maybe we can test it later," Saitama said.
"That would be interesting. I don't think he can teach you how to play games, though," King grinned.
"Shut up!" Saitama snapped at him to get the others laughing.
"Games? What kind?" Kamikaze asked.
"Video games. I like to play in my spare time," King said.
"Oh? Huh. How good are you?" the swordsman asked.
"He has yet to be beaten in a fighting game," Kianna chuckled.
"Hmm…" Kamikaze mused. "You playing later?"
"Most likely," King nodded.
"I'll watch for a few. Can't hurt," Kamikaze grinned.
"Okay," King nodded again.
"Um…so…I'm going to the Hero Association?" Tacki asked. "I've never been there yet. I hope I'll be okay…"
"Yep. With me," Kamikaze nodded. "Just stick with me. You'll be fine."
"Okay," she smiled and moved to lean into him slightly with appreciation. Then she looked over to see Lightning Max jogging over with a bag.
"Tacki! Check this out," the blond man grinned and took out a ceramic jar with intricate workmanship. Tacki gasped and cringed.
"Max! You…found it?!" she gaped.
"Oh! That's the jar that changed you!" Mitsumi blinked. Saitama now looked over and seemed to frown.
"Hold up. Let me see it," Zenchu said and was quick to inspect it. "Yep. This is the same one. I'm putting it inside for now and locking it away. We'll look at it later."
"Where are you all going?" Lightning Max asked.
"The association. And where did you find that?" Kamikaze asked and moved to place an arm around Tacki to pull her to his side. Lightning Max noticed that and narrowed his eyes a touch.
"Doesn't matter. I found it and brought it to her," the young hero retorted.
"Oooh…jealousy match…" Kamiko grinned slightly. Genos looked at her and now stepped in front of Kamiko. They clearly had a discussion that showed they were going to try a date night. Zenchu was back at their side after the urn was secured and he was grinning lightly at the whole thing. When Inichi returned, he was quickly informed of the situation by Fubuki. He rested a hand on her shoulder in thanks and regarded Lightning Max.
"Mr. Kamikaze expressed interest in Tacki. You only held polite conversation. All is fine. You can still be friends. If you feel otherwise, well…good luck," Inichi nodded. "We shall inspect the urn when we return. We shall go to the jungles right after the Hero Association meeting. We have much to do, it seems?"
"For now, yep," Zenchu nodded.
"Otherwise my ass," Kamikaze snorted under his breath. Tacki looked at him and hid her sharp giggle under her wing.
"Oh, Inichi? Mitsumi wants to see if you can teach me to play an instrument. Possibly," Saitama said.
"Oh? Ah! We can test that later," Inichi agreed. "Hero Association?"
"Yes," Mitsumi nodded and got pulled close to Saitama. The blue monster nodded and was quick to transport the group to the Hero Association to see if Mitsumi could become a class S hero in full.
