Chapter Fifty-One

Lyndy's Birthday Extravaganza!

A/N – As I wrote the last chapter my goal was not to focus on what happened but how the Borden family stepped up to help. To be honest that is one of the many ways I envisioned this family to evolve. I believe your children are a reflection of you as a parent and with Ty and Amy you can see why their children are the way they are. This chapter has deep personal feeling for me so I hope I did it justice. And those three graduates, pretty cool stuff and their futures seem bright. I have to admit that Ty's speech was not planned and came from nowhere. I know I had an inspiring speech at my graduation and hope it meet those expectations. As we move into the summer we have a big birthday for the oldest Borden sibling, follow ups on Bella and some other happenings. Mature Content. Enjoy

Review Notes: Thanks for all the reviews and to confirm I have had several comments about expanding the Lyndy character. Big news, I am beginning to put together some notes on Lyndy story. Don't worry the whole family will be part of it too. More to come…

Also in response to the review about too much Georgie I would like to respond. You are not alone as I too feel that character gets a little too much time on the show, except I here in season 15 where she is not showcased at all. I like her in my story because of the Steven factor. So she will be around as in my storyline she is a part of the new business and family.

Outside of a big birthday this weekend the Borden family was focused on the summer. Bella had been with them for a couple of weeks and seemed to be doing better. The school counselor as well as the Children's Services staff member assigned to her case met regularly at the Miracle Ranch with Amy and Ty. The Borden girls took Bella under their wings to ensure she was protected from any uncomfortable situations. Bella's parents and older sister were going to trial as it was uncovered all three of them had been abusing Bella for years. The decision moving forward deciding where Bella would go with the expectation that they would all be sentenced. When further investigation was done it was found the Bella's injuries were both from the past and current which troubled them. She had relatives in the Hudson area but the CS staffer had to vet them out. Her maternal grandparents were in Vancouver and based on the current state of family close by they were an option. Bella had told the CS staff member she wanted to stay in Hudson with her friends but the decision was still not determined. Amy and Ty agreed to keep her with them and decided based on the decision would be the potential to have her stay with them during the school year.

Lyndy was excited about her upcoming 14th birthday. After some negotiations, Amy and Ty agreed to allow her to have a boy/girl party at the dude ranch. The only stipulation was that Amy, Katie and Georgie would be the chaperones. She wanted to have a trail ride in the afternoon, BBQ for dinner and a bonfire to roast marshmallows which required a sleep over. She again negotiated 16 people, 10 girls and 6 boys so 3 Dude Ranch Cabins would be needed. The adults would split up in the girl's cabins and Clay would be staying with the boys. For a lot of reasons Ty was excluded from the chaperone list although he did negotiate that the other kids and him would stop by during the BBQ. The party was Saturday and she was excited. On Sunday Amy and Ty would have an open house for family and friends at the Miracle Ranch. Friday afternoon Lyndy, Wyatt, Katie and Clay ponied all the horses they would need. The used all of the family horses and a few client horses that Amy, Katie and Georgie were working with. The night before the party when Amy and Ty went to see Lyndy she looked at them with loving eyes, "Mom and Dad, thank you so much for my party tomorrow. Thank you for trusting me, I am really excited and so are my friends. And Mom, thanks for not allowing dad to chaperone. First he may be a little embarrassing and second several of my girlfriends are just weird about him being hot." Ty laughed, "You do know I am right her you two," tickling his daughter. Amy laughed as well, "I think its best that dad stays with the other kids and Bella but I can't deny that he is pretty hot." Snuggling int his side. Lyndy rolled her eyes and hugged them good night.

Amy and Ty walked to their bedroom and Amy kept the snuggling as they closed the door. "You are pretty hot Dr. Borden." Ty pulled her into his arms, "You are pretty hot too, sexy, beautiful and did I say hot." "Dr. Borden are you trying to get lucky?" He smiled and leaned down kissing her passionately. She returned the kiss aggressively, "So I am hot?" He smiled, "The hottest." There was a sense of urgency as they made their way to the bed clothes were discarded everywhere. Amy rolled on top of her man kissing and touching him. He moaned her name out as she reached for his manhood, pulsing in her hand. As she moved her hand he reached down for her area of pleasure. Each of them focused on pleasing their partner in ways that were just for them. Each of them moaned, panting their lover's names over and over. Satisfied with their attention Amy rolled over and straddled her husband joining him in the ultimate act of intimacy. She met his thrust and continued to moan, losing herself in his love. As they climaxed they contained their noise level collapsing into each other's arms. Their love making was complete giving and unselfish, focused on each other. As they came down from the sharing of each other Amy leaned over to hug as their breathing settled. "You are hot too and I don't think I could love you more than I do right now." The both fell into to a blissful sleep.

Another big thing was happening this action-packed weekend. Max and Lily were scheduled to arrive on Saturday morning and would be moving to their new cottage until early spring. The completion of the work on the cottage was delayed so they were just able to come now. Lisa and Jack, who was felling 100% better, would be picking them up. Since the birthday weekend was underway, Lyndy's family birthday party would also be a welcome for them. Ty and Amy were excited about the fact that his mom and her husband would be here. The kids were ecstatic and really looking forward to having them here in their life. JT was especially excited because Jack had already planned a fishing trip with Max and all the boys, Him, Ben, Dax, Brey and Billy as well as Brent, the little boy he gave some of his birthday presents to. The six of them played together a lot. At first Lisa, Lou and Amy were a bit concerned but Ben offered to come as well so they figured it would be Ok. They were going to the fishing cabin and were going to spend one night. Amy looked at her grandfather, "Grandpa, six very young boys overnight. I know Max and Ben will be there but are you ready for this." Jack smiled hugging the three most important women in his life, "They give me a reason to feel better and I don't want to miss a chance to spend time with all of them." The three women were in tears holding their grandpa and husband with all the love they could show him.

It was late morning and Lyndy, Amy, Katie and Georgie were packed and heading over to the Dude Ranch. Lou was able to get three larger cabins for them to use and Clay reluctantly agreed to stay with the boys, with the stipulation that Katie would stay with him in the larger bedroom. The kids started arriving around 11 and after a Maggie's Fried Chicken lunch they saddled up the horses and headed on the trail ride. The plan was to go to several spots that Lyndy asked for, the old jumping course, Marion's place and along the Sheep river where they could swim. As they approached the jumping course Lyndy saw her mom getting emotional. She proudly spoke as they dismounted, "Years ago when my mom and dad first met she was helping her horse, Spartan. Spartan was afraid of trailers so she was limited on where she could jump him." She hesitated gathering herself as Wyatt put his arm around her. "My dad built this for her so she could start jumping Spartan and that year she won the Fall Finale. My dad says that was when he fell in love with her." She hugged her mom and the kids all smiled. She whispered to Wyatt, "We need to fix this up for my parents." He smiled, "And we will."

They gathered up and headed to Marion's favorite place and Lyndy again told the kids the story of her grandmother. As she talked she started to break up so Amy took over. "My mom was a renowned horse healer. She was my mentor and even after she died her journals continued to guide me in helping horses. We had a memorial for her recently and Lyndy's GG told a story about how she would disappear and they would always find her here laying on her horse looking at the clouds. This was her place and I have taken my husband Ty and all the kids here. I wanted us all to be able to go to a place where we can remember her." After a moment one of the girls blurted out. "Mrs. Borden, your husband is really hot." The girls around her smacked her in the arm as Amy smiled, "I know isn't he!"

The group saddled up and headed to the Sheep river to do some swimming. As the adults watched the kids have fun Clay who was holding Katie and was in deep thought. Georgie saw it an asked, "Clay what's going on, having second thoughts about the sleepover?" He smiled, "I will never complain about having some time with Katie. It's just as I watched them having so much fun I can't help but realize what an amazing young man Wyatt is. Look at him and Lyndy, their relationship is amazing. I mean I know you guys love Ty and Steven to death and I think this one loves me," tickling Katie, "But I spend a good amount of time with him and seeing how they look at each other is, I can't find the words, it's special. That two kids so young can feel that way about each other." Looking at Amy a little concerned, "Amy trust me there is nothing you need to worry about, I know she has some Fleming in her but they respect each other and most importantly respect you and Ty. They are in it for the long haul, it's obvious to everyone around them." Amy smiled touching his arm, "Katie you got a pretty great guy here, no Ty but he is OK." Georgie rolled her eyes, "Geez Amy give it up already." They all laughed as they watch the kids having fun.

Once the group was done they dried a bit and headed back to the Dude Ranch. Ty, Steven, the Borden kids and the Weber twins were there waiting for them. Ty and Steven had the BBQ going and all of the sides had been delivered from Maggie's, courtesy of Lou. All of the horses had their tack taken off, groomed and put in the stable with plenty of food and water. The plan was for all of them to take them back to Heartland and be picked up there by their parents in the morning. As they gathered it was time to eat so they got their food and sat around the fire pit. Amy and Georgie spent some time with their other kids as Lyndy and her friends chatted. There was a lot of laughing and stories shared about the day. Although she didn't want any some of the kids had brought presents so she opened them smiling. Then Lou's SUV pulled up and Lisa and her got out. In the back was a giant cake and tubs of ice cream. Happy Birthday was sung as cake and ice cream were had by all. Ty, Steven, Lisa and Lou cleaned up and took back as much as they could. Of course the left the stuff for smores later. Amy and Georgie kissed their husbands goodbye as the kids hooted and hollered. The same girl that said Ty was hot yelled out, "Mrs. Borden you are lucky." Amy smile and answered, "Yes I am," as the Borden girls all huffed.

After things settled from dinner, Amy, Katie, Clay and Georgie had the kids set up their rooms and to get on their comfy clothes for the night. Georgie started the fire, remembering years ago when Ty and Amy took Steven, Katie and her to the fishing cabin. "Remember that trip Amy when your amazing husband couldn't even start a fire. So his 14-year-old niece had to do it for him." Amy laughed, "That was hilarious he was so embarrassed, but he deserved it." The girl who kept saying Ty was hot, got angry, "You shouldn't have been so mean to him, at least he tried," as she folded her arms in disgust. The rest of the kids laughed as Lyndy said, "Give it up girl." The evening turned into night and the kids were having fun. Clay was playing some music so the danced and sang along. One of the boys recommended the "Truth or Dare" game but Amy put an immediate kibosh to that. Amy and Lyndy mesmerized the group by singing some of Grandma Lyndy's songs. Some of the kids had never heard them and were amazed at how good they were. While Lyndy was singing Amy couldn't notice how Wyatt looked at her. It made her feel warm. Georgie whispered to her, "Looks like Clay was right, look at him. I think we will do several cabin checks tonight," poking Amy in the ribs.

Clay and Katie brought out the smores and the kids had a lot of fun making them. Some of the "couples" like Wyatt and Lyndy shared smores with each other. Overall the group really got along well laughing and telling stories about each other and school. Wyatt and Lyndy stayed close although they were enjoying the company of their friends. A few discreet kisses were shared and Amy never saw a moment where they weren't close touching each other. She leaned over to Katie and Clay feeling a motherly warmth. "You know I know they are young but they are so wonderful together. They kind of remind me of your sister and Steven. Ty and I caught them kissing several times when they were about their age. We knew then they would always be there for each other." The rest of the night went well until Amy took the responsibility to begin to settle them down. "Ok kids midnight is the deadline when we all need to head to the cabins. Tomorrow, by 9:00 need all of the horses saddled and packed up for the trip back to Heartland and our ranch." They had decided to have them take the horses back to the correct ranch and have their parents pick them up. The group moaned but understood. Amy and Georgie figured it would take a while for the kids to settle anyway. As they all headed to their cabins, Amy smiled as she saw Lyndy and Wyatt in an embrace, whispering to each other. It was a good day.

The night went well except when a couple of the boys snuck out to scare the girls. Luckily Clay was on alert and stopped them before the act could be done. The next morning right on time and after a light breakfast, they were ready to go. Before everyone left, Lyndy spoke up, "Thanks for coming to my party, you are the best friends ever. Mom thank you and my hot dad for letting me have the party. It was a blast. Maybe next year same thing with no chaperones?" Amy shook her head with a definite no as the rest of the kids thanked all the adults and Ty's best friend said, "And a special thanks to you hot husband." Everyone laughed and headed on their way. As the returned to their respective locations the horses were stabled and by 10:30 all the kids were picked up. Ty walked up to the house and saw Wyatt and Lyndy on the porch. Wyatt smiled as Lyndy was out cold. He whispered, "Looks like the party was a little too much for her and just like her mom she likes her naps. Guess who is napping now as well." Wyatt smiled, "Dr. Borden she loved it and so did I, thank you."

(The Day Before) Max and Lilly were excited to be moving to their summer place. As they made it through security, they saw the familiar cowboy hat of a tall older cowboy. Lilly saw Lisa waving them over. Jack welcomed them, "Hey you two it is great to see you. A little late but you made it." Max laughed, "Well if someone didn't change the layout a bunch of times we would have made it earlier," poking Lilly in the ribs. "Maximillian, we need room for all those grand kids and visitors from Denver. Get over it." Max got serious, "Jack my friend how are you doing. Ty has been keeping us updated and I know Lisa, you and Lilly have talked. I hear treatments are going well?" Jack smiled, "Well I have to tell you guys things are going really well. The kids have been amazing and very supportive." Lisa added, "Lilly you should have seen those Borden girls, Amy, Lou, Katie and Georgie. One or more of them were always with him. I told him he was a lucky man, all of these women hovering over him. It was cute, especially Maddie, the self-proclaimed leader of the group." They laughed as Jack got somber, "Between this one here and those girls they gave me a reason to fight. I love them all so much." Breaking the somber mood, Max interrupted. "Well let's get our bags. Thank goodness we sent most of the stuff ahead. So Jack, when is the big fishing trip." He laughed as they went to Lisa's SUV to head home.

It was early afternoon when they arrived at the house. They were shocked when they saw Lou, Ty, Steven and the kids who weren't at the big birthday party waiting on the porch. Lilly beamed running up to hug her son, "Ty, Lou, kids it is so good to see you, and Steven look at those beautiful kids of yours. You and Georgie must be so proud." Max looked on knowing this was the right decision. Lilly's life had been a nightmare and she deserved some peace and happiness. Lou spoke up, "Well I hope you don't mind but we unpacked all your stuff, set up all the rooms and there is dinner ready for the four of you. The rest of us have a lot to do for our 14-year-old princess." Max and Lilly were stunned as they walked in. The place looked beautiful and everything was where it was supposed to be. Lilly was moved and tearfully said, "This is amazing, I don't know what to say." She landed into Max's side and smiled. Maddie, Annie and Addie took Lilly around the house while Max sat with Ty, Steven, Lisa and Lou. Ty said with passion, "Max I can't thank you enough for coming into my mom's life. Until you saved her she had a miserable life and trust me I know about being saved." He stumbled, "Jack, if it wasn't for you, Amy and Lou I would not be here today. And Marion, I thank her every day." Jack looked at him with the love of a father, "Ty you made yourself what you are today, we just came a long for the ride." Lilly walked in on the scene and hugged her son with all her might. "I love you Ty and your kids are the best. It's gonna be a fun summer."

(Current Day) After naps the family starting to arrive at the Miracle Ranch for Lyndy's Birthday. The group was small, just with family and a few close friends. Lyndy was all smiles especially when she saw Max and Lilly. "Grandma, Max you are here. This is the best birthday present ever. I am so glad to see you." She hugged them both. Lilly couldn't even speak so Max spoke for her, "Honey we are so happy to be here and Happy Birthday. Your grandma has been crying happy tears since we got hear." But the biggest surprise was when she saw Wyatt and her dad holding the door. Lyndy gasped when she saw Grandma June being pushed into the room by her mom. She was in tears as she ran to her smiling face. "Lyndy happy birthday sweet girl, you know I couldn't miss your party." Catching her breath Lyndy whispered, "I can't believe you are here. This is my best birthday present ever." She looked over at an emotional Wyatt and hugged him with every ounce of love she had for him. She realized that he also had to be excited. and whispered in his ear, "Thank you Wyatt this is awesome." Amy and Ty smiled at the interaction between June, Wyatt and Lyndy. She put her arm around Ty as they looked on at the happiness of their oldest daughter.

The party was relaxing and fun and best of all Lyndy had a great time. She glowed like she had never glowed before. She couldn't stop smiling and stayed by Wyatt all night. Grandma June was having a great time. She sat with Lisa, Jack, Max and Lilly and listened to Jacks story. She was so happy that he was doing well and couldn't stop talking about how wonderful Amy, Ty and their whole family was. "I don't know what would have happened to my sweet little boy if they didn't offer to care for him. I'll never be able to repay them." Jack smiled and looked over at Lyndy and Wyatt, "June look over at them, I don't think you need to do anything. The look on my great granddaughter's face is more than payment enough." Lyndy received a lot of great gifts and thanked everyone. The last gift she opened was just from her dad. Even Amy didn't know what it was. As she opened it she sat stunned looking over to her father. She pulled out a beautiful necklace with a heart shaped locket. When she opened it tears began flowing. In the locket were three pictures, Marion on one side, Amy on the other and Lyndy in the middle. The resemblance was breathtaking. She lunged at her father in a hug that was only meant to for the two of them. Amy and most of the group were in tears. Finally she gathered the strength to whisper into his ear, "Daddy, this is wonderful. I love you and mom with my whole heart and always will." He smiled as Amy and the rest of the kids joined in the hug. It was a great birthday.
