Chapter Sixty-One

We All Grow Together

A/N – Are you all worn out yet. If I had to live through all that I would need a month to rest up. So life will move back to the "Borden" normal. Fall is in place and going really well for the family. Preparation for the Fall Finale is underway, school accomplishments continue, the business continues to reach new heights and Amy and Ty are as close as they have ever been. And by the way everyone is noticing. We will continue to see a lot of great things but also some challenges. As always I hope I give the story the joy it deserves Really Mature Content, Amy and Ty are really in love. 😊 Enjoy

I wanted to respond to the review about diminishing Amy's horse skills as others are learning the trade. I understand but don't worry. Amy is the most important horse whisperer and will always be. But I am a firm believer that the most rewarding thing you can do is to pass on your skills to others important to you. Look at how many kids learn the same trade as their parents – Nurse, teacher, tradesman. It is a key responsibility of any parent or teacher to pass it on. In this case Amy is insuring that her mom's legacy carries on through her children and others as needed. I hope that makes sense. And again be assured, no one will ever take the Miracle Girl's place.

One more follow up addressing the Trudeau storyline. I will again say that I am not political and am just using a name. If I would have used any other the storyline would be the same. My focus does and will remain the same with this bond, especially with the kids and especially the wife/mother of the PM. This is a fiction story and I believe it is a fun look at a family relationship. When I was younger I had friends from all levels of life and the fact was that we were friends, no matter what. Heck my best friend, who I was baptized with, is worth tens of millions of dollars. I play golf with him every weekend and pay my own way.

Sorry, I digress, this comment is a little out of my wheelhouse so here is goes. As I mentioned I have an option to delete reviews but I will not unless it is way out of line. I feel that using my story to profess someone's own beliefs may not be the best approach. I respect that some may be affected differently from current public activities but I hope that in this crazy world we can keep a story like this light and fun. I hope those that are concerned understand.

This story is my passion and I will continue to move forward with existing storylines and many new ones of which I have a lot, until I run out. Love the reviews, keep them coming, If I can't message you back I will use this as my platform to discuss. Peace!

It had a week of calming as the family came down from the buzz of school and birthdays. To be honest, Ty and Amy were wiped out and got back into work to regain some momentum. For the first time in a while work seemed to be leveling off, Not slowing down just maintaining steadiness. Speaking of momentum, Amy and Ty's love continued to grow with every day. Neither of them understood it but they couldn't get enough of each other. They were always holding hands, sneaking cuddles, and kissing each other. And at night, and sometimes in the daytime their intimacy level was as strong as ever and many around them noticed their increased closeness. One night when they went to see Lyndy she asked to talk, even asking Wyatt to give her time with her parents. Amy looked at her concerned, "Honey is everything Ok. Are you and Wyatt fighting?" She laughed, "No Mom, Wyatt is amazing and kind and, we are good. I just had to ask you two something. Is everything Ok with you. I mean you guys are ridiculously lovey dovey all the time but several people have noticed that you seem to be a little more touchy-feely than usual. Which by the way we love." Ty smiled at her, "Well we can't deny that we have been a little more Amy and Ty, but honey nothing is wrong. We have been together since we were young. Lately, seeing you all grow up and being such amazing children has just overwhelmed us." He began to tear up a bit as her mom put her arm around his waist. "We always knew we would be together forever and have children. But you guys make us so proud, not just with the academics, horse jumping, dance and things like that, it's how wonderful you are as people. A person that will do anything for your siblings, cousins and friends. Having passion for doing what you do to the best of your ability. Your kindness and respect for others, especially your elders. And your undeniable kindness, you all have such big hearts." Lyndy smiled as Amy added one final comment, "And Lyndy, we love all of you but you are an amazing and special young woman. The way you look over your siblings and the closeness of you and Wyatt is undeniably the greatest feeling. We are so proud of you. What you all have done have helped us become closer and closer. I hope it doesn't make you guys uncomfortable, but we can't help it. We love each other completely." Lyndy smiled and went to hug her parents. "We love it mom and dad, please don't' stop."

As Amy sat at her vanity brushing her hair Ty was sitting in bed looking over some notes for a surgery tomorrow. He looked up and noticed Amy had stopped and had her brush in her hand and shoulders shaking. He immediately went to her, sitting on her chair and pulling her onto his lap. She laid her head on his strong chest continuing her light sobs. He finally spoke, "Amy, what's wrong." She gathered herself, "I am just so happy. Our talk with Lyndy really hit me right here," as she placed her hand on her heart. "We are so lucky to have such a wonderful daughter like Lyndy, the kids and family. And mostly Ty, I have you." He smiled pulling her in, "Well I believe that kids are a reflection of their parents. Amy the girls emulate you in so many ways, especially Lyndy. She is you, I see it more and more every day. You are amazing and our children are a reflection of that." She looked at his deep emerald eyes. "And they are a reflection of you." They held each other when Ty moved a little. Amy noticed a familiar feel from below his waist. "Amy I'm sorry but holding you in just your bra and panties is a little too much for me." She giggled seductively, "Well those boxers aren't too bad either Dr. Borden." She rolled around and straddled her husband. Their wanton needs were in the right place as she wiggled making it worse for him. He whispered as he kissed her exposed neck, "Amy, you are killing me, my god you are so hot and wet." She pulled back locking eyes with him staring deep into his soul. "Well I say we go and figure out how to settle our dilemma."

He carried his love to the bed, shedding the little clothing she had on and discarding his boxers. They held each other for a while allowing their naked bodies to mold together. Their love making was always amazing but both of them silently were in awe of how they fit together, like it was meant to be. After some increased movement, helping their arousal to escalate, Ty rolled over on top of her beginning an onslaught of kisses, licks and touches up and down her body. Amy moaned uncontrollably especially when he grazed against the areas that needed the most attention. He gently kissed her erect nipples moving his hand down to her most aroused area. She moved her hands all over him, occasionally rubbing his manhood. He moved his tongue down her stomach reaching the place radiating their love. He pleasured her intimately and she responded softly saying his name over and over. As the calmed Amy whispered, "Ty I love you." He looked into her amazing eyes, "Amy I love you." Her next moves told him she was ready to move forward. She rolled him on his back and after moving over his entire body she moved up to lower herself onto him. She was slow and steady as they became one. As she continued her movement became more intense and they reached a mutual rhythm of complete and unselfish lovemaking. As they continued the heat intensified along with their mutual arousal and they reached the apex together continuing on for several minutes until they relented collapsing in each other's arms. As they lay in each other's arms they were catching their breath as their bodies glistened with sweat. Finally Amy was able to speak in a low seductive voice. "Wow, that was amazing, Ty you are amazing. I have never felt so content in my life." Ty smiled as he leaned over to give her a kiss. "Amy I am a big fan of this new us. I mean we have always been together in the pure sense of the word but lately and after our lovemaking tonight, I don't know how we ca top it. You horsey girl are one in a billion and you are my life and love forever." Amy giggled looking into his eyes, "I think we can do better." The held each other reaching a peaceful sleep.

Next morning at breakfast the entire family was in great spirits, The girls had a lot going on at school and with horse jumping. JT loved Pre-K and was making new friends all the time. As Amy and Ty came down Lyndy noticed their continued closeness and blushing, smiled at her mom. Amy came to her and hugged her whispering in her ear, "I love you baby." One by one Amy and Ty greeted and hugged the kids. Amy even gave Wyatt a hug. Addie couldn't help herself, "Man what is this a mom and dad love fest, you guys are all huggy and stuff." Ty rolled his eyes, "Well we love each of you very much and we like to hug our kids, especially you." Amy and Ty went out of their to hug her tightly as she squirmed. The rest of the group laughed at the interaction except JT who was frowning a bit. Amy looked over and got Ty's attention. The went over and picked him up kissing his cheeks, "JT do you want some extra loving?" He smiled and kissed them back. "Yea I love it and I love you both." The conversation continued about their school day and Lyndy wanted to hear about the horses her mom was working with. Addie let he dad know she had been working with Clay on the Norton, "We are trying to get some more power out of the engine dad," Amy frowned, "Great more power for that dang bike." They all laughed as Ty gave her the thumbs up. Amy asked Wyatt about Grandma June. He looked down a bit, "Well the last time we talked she sounded tired and was coughing a lot. I called my aunt and she told me that she was having a rough patch. Would you mind taking Lyndy and I to see her after school. I saw her this weekend and she was just tired, it sounds like she is getting worse. And Mrs. Borden can you talk to the nurse with me. They don't always tell me everything." Amy went over and hugged him again. "Well how about I pick you guys up. I will call the facility and let them know we are coming and that we want to meet with her caretakers." He smiled thanking her. After they cleaned up they headed to their bus as Amy and Ty got to work.

Although some would say that you get into a routine at work with Amy and Ty the diversity of the day made what they did rewarding. As they began their day Amy met with a client whose horse was burned in barn fire. It reminded her of a horse she worked on early in her career, a very successful racehorse with similar injuries. When Ty came to see them and do the work up for the horse he did a double take. "Amy, it's Gallant Prince, the horse you worked on when I tried to kiss you and you declined." The owner looked at them, "Wait you worked on Gallant Prince?" Amy smiled, "Yes and his Trainer, who was burned too. He was crazy out of his mind with fear. So I spent a lot of with him but wasn't successful until I convinced the trainer to help. He was hesitant because he blamed himself for the fire." Ty continued, "Amy brought the horse and the trainer back and after he was cleared he worked with Prince. I don't think he ever raced again but I think I heard he became a highly sought-after stud and made millions for the owner." The owner smiled and put her hand on Amy's shoulder. "Amy and Ty meet Pride and Joy. He is a Triple Crown contender and the great, great grandson of Gallant Prince." Amy's mouth dropped in complete surprise, "He looks so much like him." The owner confirmed, "Yes, the owner of Gallant Prince kept a close eye on the breeding lineage and it is document he is a direct descendent of him." "Well I promise, he will be a top priority." Ty added, "And these burns aren't near as serious as Gallant Prince. We have developed a process where we can almost fully heal them and with Amy's assistance I expect you will get you champion back." The owner smiled and as Ty took him to the exam room she whispered to Amy, "Why didn't you kiss him, he is an attractive man." Amy giggled, "Well we were really young and had become very good friends. I guess I was afraid to wreck what we had." She laughed, "Well that worked out." The both laughed and headed into th office to take care of the paperwork.

Back at school, Lyndy was excelling as always. She continued to love English the most, especially reading a habit her mom had taken up when she was a little older and writing which she continued to develop. They after shared books and she loved talking to her about them. Lyndy was drawn to her mother with a close bond that grew stronger every day. She loved her mother deeply and looked to her for guidance and support. Her relationship with Wyatt was strong and she always talked with her mom about the relationship and where she wanted it to go. One night they were chatting as they groomed Blaze and Sundance. "Mom, am I just being silly. I care for Wyatt so much, mom I love him. Am I too young to feel that way." Amy pondered her response. "Well honey like I told you before, I was only fifteen when your dad came into my life. But I was not near as mature as you are. We love Wyatt, he is an amazing young man. You never know where life and relationships take you but with your dad, right after the Fall Finale I knew I wanted to be with him forever. It took a while to get my act together but when I did we sealed the deal at the fishing camp." Lyndy smiled remembering the story. Hugging her mom she said, "I hope one day we find our fishing camp." Amy smiled hugged her and looked into her bright blue eyes. "Lyndy you will. But not too soon I hope." The giggled and kept on with their grooming. Amy took a moment to look over and smiled. She loved her kids but Lyndy, they had a special bond similar to the one she had with her mom. She loved her with everything she had.

Annie and Addie were having fun in middle school. They were being challenged at a whole new level. Annie's Science skills were flourishing. The more they gave her the better it was for her. As a stretch assignment, she was asked to be a part of the High School Science project team. One middle school student was selected from each grade. One afternoon a week the three students went to the High School to work with the older children. It was awesome and she loved the challenging work. She consulted with her dad a lot since he had also loved science in school. He loved their one-on-one time. He loved Annie as he did all of his kids but to have something to work with her on was a bonus. He didn't get to do that often so he cherished the time. Addie was also having a great start to the year. It seems she and option to get into a shop class and she was the only girl. Desi was in it too so that made it much more desirable. They continued to have a strong friendship. When she came to her mom and dad about her wish, she was prepared to defend her decision. "Guys I know this is not a typical class for a girl to take but I really want to do it. I can use my math skills as well and will not lose focus on all of my classes. Please mom and dad I really want to take this class. I can keep working on the Norton and the quads and who knows when I get my own motorcycle I can work on it." Amy put her hand over Addies mouth. "Addie, take a breath, we have no problem with you taking this class. In fact the teacher already talked to us on your behalf saying you are even showing up some of the boys." Addie shrieked in relief, "Thank you, thank you so much, I love you guys." Ty laughed, "But chill about your own bike, mom and I think you should wait a while." Addie was excited, as she kissed them both.

And then there is Maddie. Third grade was a blast and as always Madelline Louise Borden was a force to be reckoned with. On top of her proven leadership skills she was excelling scholastically. The staff had already been challenging her and after talking with Amy and Ty provided her activities and responsibilities to stretch her to new limits. Her bond with Gwen was still one that marveled all of those around her. One day they were at lunch and Gwen waved over a young girl from the second grade who also had the Downs Syndrome diagnosis. She introduced her to Maddie and some of the other kids at the table. "This is my friend, Sylvia and she is in the second grade. She just moved here from Winnipeg and will be going to school with us." Everyone said hellos and gave her hugs. Maddie winked at Gwen and went over to talk to them both. "Sylvia I would love to be your friend, even though you are just a kid." They all giggled but then Maddie took ahold of Sylvia's arm and looked at her with love and honesty. "Sylvia, I am sure that Gwen has talked to you but we have your back, always. If you need anything, ever just ask. Anything at all." Sylvia smiled with a small tear in her eye. "Thank you but I do have one request. Can you teach me how to ride. My mom and dad got me a horse and I want to learn." Maddie laughed, I'll do one better. Have your mom call my mom, here is her name and number. We can arrange to keep your horse at our ranch so when Gwen comes over you can too and you'll get your lessons." She screamed with glee but then her eyes went wide open, "You mom is the Miracle Girl, I can't believe it. Will I get to meet her?" Actually I'll talk to her and you and your parents can come over for dinner one night." Sylvia was overjoyed and then Maddie one more thing, "Oh and I won't teach you, Gwen will!" They all left and went to their next class.

Although it was less than two months into the school year, the district had added a parent teacher meeting to allow parents to discuss any goals they had for their children. Amy and Ty always welcomed the opportunity to meet with the teachers and always welcomed an open line of communication. So they had three nights in a row to have meetings, one for each school level. And to their surprise, since they had guardianship rights for Wyatt, he asked them to go on his behalf as well. The first night was the elementary meetings for JT and Maddie. JT teaching team were really enjoying him. Ms. Landers, his main teacher spoke up, "Mr. and Mrs. Borden JT is a joy. Even though he is not yet three he is so mature and really gets along well with all the kids. He is quite the comic and tells us about his four older sisters all the time." Amy laughed, "Well first off please call us Amy and Ty and you are right. We noticed that as he got older he emulated his sisters, especially Maddie. He acts way older than his age which could be good and bad but so far he has done well. His sisters adore him so attention is not lacking." They all laughed as the team went over some of the work he had done and bounced some idea on what they should focus on moving forward. Amy and Ty thanked them and left pleased heading to meet with Maddie's teachers.

As they waited their turn, they chatted, "I can't wait to hear what this group has to say about our little sparkplug. I am so happy they are having these early meetings. It should help us stay on track with what the kids need." They were called in and sat facing of a smiling group of teachers. The head of Maddie's team, Miss Brooks spoke up, "Hello Amy and Ty I know we have met, but I know we all are excited to talk about young Maddie. As you know children's records move along with them and as a team, we review them before the school year." Amy and Ty sat holding hands with a slight look of concern. A second teacher smiling broadly spoke, "Well Maddie has quite a history of many amazing things and we can only say, wow. She is energetic, ambitious, opinionated and rambunctious. She is a joy to work with and I want to thank you, actually we all do. I have never seen such a kind and considerate young lady and academically she is a gem. I could go on and on but we have other parents to meet," she chuckled. Amy took a moment to respond, "Well thank you, she is definitely a fireplug. She loves school and her family. She would do anything for her sisters, little brother and her best Friend Gwen. She is very opinionated and definitely is not shy." Ty smiled in agreement as the third teacher spoke up, "I do have a question, do you know Sylvia?" Ty and Amy looked at each other and Ty responded. "I believe she is a friend of Gwen's and honey isn't she coming to the ranch to learn how to ride." Amy nodded, "Yes I spoke to her mom and they are bringing her horse this weekend, why do you ask," as she looked back at them.

The teacher began to tell a story of how Sylvia and Maddie met. Amy and Ty listened intently as she detailed the entire story that her and two other teacher's observed in the lunchroom one day last week. "So Maddie and Gwen were at their usual lunch table when Gwen stepped away and went to sit with little girl who was by herself. She is in second grade and is also diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. Her and Gwen have become close friends since Sylvia is kind of introverted." She took a breath to gather herself as her emotions were rising. "Anyway, she had the little girl pick up her tray so she could joined the older group. They walked over and she had Sylvia sit next to Maddie as she introduced her. Maddie made room immediately and instantly starting to talk with the two of them. Amy and Ty your little girl made sure she met everyone at the table and the group was awesome and greeted her warmly. Her face lit up as each one hugged her and let her join in the conversation just like she always had belonged." The teacher then wiped her eyes as the teacher next to her rubbed her shoulder and took over. "Well needless to say Maddie's reputation to be inclusive and welcome everyone the same has been see again. Do you know that Sylvia eats with them every day. I talked to one of her therapist and they have seen a remarkable change in her. She is more confident and is communicating more freely. Amy and Ty, your daughter is a wonderful student, but mostly a great friend to Gwen and now Sylvia." Amy and Ty sat in silence and after thanking the team walked out quiet holding on to each other. As they walked out the lead teacher commented to the group. "They are amazing parents, I see where their daughters gets it." Everyone smiled in agreement.

The next night they headed to the Middle School. As the drove there they laughed remembering the night before at dinner. Maddie was insistent on hearing how the meeting went but Amy and Ty had decided to finish all of them and then would talk about it over the weekend with each one of them. Maddie was not happy but understood. They walked into the school and followed the directions to Annie's room. Even though the twins had classes together they had decided to treat each of them individually. They first met with Annie's team. Her lead teacher spoke first. "Annie is a lovely young women and has really adapted to Middle School well. This is a tough transition but she has flourished so far. She is very personable and mixes well with her classmates. As you know we are a combination of two elementary schools so many of the students do not know each other, which is not an issue for her. She has really done well with the stretch program working with the high school science team. The teacher who heads up the project said she is excelling. But we also noticed strong skills in all of her other subjects, especially math. I know Addie is also skilled in the area but we see promise in her. We believe that she has a lot of well-rounded academic potential and if you are good we want to push her that way." Amy and Ty smiled as Ty responded. "Every night our girls help each other with homework, it's kind of a thing they started. We have noticed that Annie is willing to help with any subject and not afraid of new things." The other teacher spoke up, "Well that makes sense, she is always helping others." They continued to talk about other items of discussion and Ty and Amy said their farewells. "Thank you for helping Annie step out of her boundaries. Each of our children are unique but we feel that she has a lot of potential moving forward." Amy said with pride. The final teacher joked, "And that twin thing, that is crazy, we may need to have a separate meeting about that. The bond they have is legendary and I can't wait to see it in action." Amy and Ty smiled as they headed to Addie's room with a little trepidation.

As they were called in to Addie's room they were pleased to be greeted by familiar faces. Each of the teachers on her team had Lyndy on their caseload. The lead teacher spoke first, "Well Amy and Ty here we go again. It is so good to see you. Addie has been great so far this year. As you know she is exemplary with her math skills but also does well in all of her other subjects. So, let's talk about shop." Amy laughed, "Before you go any further I have to tell you it is all Ty's fault." Ty put his hands up as the teacher continued. "And that is a good thing. The shop teacher is so pleased to have his first young girl in shop. She is doing very well and knows as much if not more than most of the boys. I think it doesn't hurt that her friend Desi is with her." Ty rolled his eyes as the next teacher took over, "So let's hear about the Norton and her accident. Seems that she had quite a spill according to her." Ty chuckled as Amy looked at him endearingly, "Well I got the Norton many years ago and have kept it up and running since. Addie latched onto it at an early age and always wanted to ride with me, much to Amy's chagrin. Anyway we have begun letting her ride a little on the ranch but with me of Amy's Nieces fiancé watching over her. She took a tumble and went over the handlebar landing in some soft dirt. She was lucky and remembered how she should relax when she fell. She sprained her wrist and had a slight bump on her head. Trust me she milked it a lot until her sisters put her in her place." The teacher looked at Amy and her gaze. "Amy are you Ok you seem to be somewhere else." She giggled, "Sorry, the Norton means a lot to us and is very special to Ty and I. It is a big part of our relationship and listening to Ty talk about it and the fac that Addie loves it to is wonderful. But Ty don't tell Addie I said that." Everyone smiled at the love of her comment. The finished the chat and Amy and Ty headed home.

The final night was a new adventure for them. High School was much different than the others. The plan was for them was to follow her schedule and meet her teachers. Then they would meet her counselor, who was the same as Wyatt's. The principle had also asked for a separate meeting. Each teacher had high praises for her not just academically but as a person. They all confirmed that she had adapted well to high school and also recognized the special bond with Wyatt, who several of them talked about as well. The English teacher, a class she had with Wyatt, could not talk enough about her and her passion for writing. He shared several short stories she had written. Amy recognized them as Lyndy had shared them with her and Ty. The counselor spoke to them directly, "Amy and Ty this girl has a gift for writing and I believe I should continue to challenge her. Of all the kids I have had recently she is a rising star and will accomplish great things with her storytelling." They smiled understanding what he was saying and acknowledged his challenge. The meeting with the counselor went well also. "Lyndy is an amazingly mature young woman, well beyond her years. You know I have seen maturity at all levels and hers is, well it is special. And Wyatt, he is also an amazing young man. For what he has had to deal with in his life he is well grounded. And I have to say that the two of them are quite the pair. I know it is scary with them being so young but you can be assured that they are responsible and he is the perfect gentleman." Amy and Ty smiled understanding where she was coming from. "Thank you for your support of them. I know that they think highly of you as well." They left and headed to meet with the principle a little unsure of what was ahead.

As they entered the office the secretary immediately ushered them into the superintendent's conference room. Sitting with him was the High School principal and her local dance instructor. They sat down with many questions on their mind. The superintendent began, "First off, nothing is wrong with Lyndy or Wyatt, we wish we had more students like them. The reason we are hear is about an opportunity for Lyndy. I am sure you know of her amazing dance accomplishments. We are amazed when a student is not only academically successful but able to so other things. In th case of Lyndy that would be her horse jumping and dance success. And I hear she is just like her mother, an amazing horse healer. Do we have another Miracle Girl?" They laughed as Ty proudly responded, "Lyndy is her mother for sure, although the dancing thing comes from me." Amy poked his ribs, "Yea right!" Her dance instructor took over. "Most young people would not be able to handle so much, but a young woman like Lyndy not only can but we believe needs to. Amy and Ty, her capabilities are limitless. We know she turned down several dance schools, which we all support. We would like to offer her some special accommodations. We want to allow her time to experience everything she can and will adjust her schedule as needed. We believe this will be best for her." Amy and Ty thought for a moment, "Well that is amazing and as long as she is good with it, so we say let's give it a go." The superintendent smiled, "Well we are going to meet with her on Monday after school, can you attend?" Amy and Ty's ride home was quiet. It had been a great week. She smiled, grabbing his hand. "I love our children so much and outside of the dancing comment, I love you to." He smiled squeezing her hand tightly.
