Chapter Sixty-Four

A Girl And Her Horse

A/N – As I committed a pretty carefree chapter. As a result of your request I have spent some time with many of the characters in this story and more will be coming. Ts the time of year again for a little injection of College life. It should be an interesting approach this year. But this chapter will not be without a challenge for our main characters. Again this storyline has come from you, the readers. I have a lot of ideas but I really enjoy the ones I get from you. This is another reason why this story has evolved into what it is and remains a passion of mine. Mature Content. Enjoy

The past few weeks had been pretty standard, lots of schoolwork and activities, business was busy and most of the time manageable and the Borden family was gelling as always. The kids were enjoying school, prepare for the Fall Finale and in general having a lot of fun. JT was able to squeeze in some late season fishing with GG and Grandpa. He really missed Max but knew he would be back for Christmas. Maddie, Gwen and Sylvia were tighter than ever and enjoying the 3rd grade and doing extremely well in school. The twins were adapting well to Middle School and had gotten into a groove with everything in their lives. They loved their classes and the extra challenges they had been given, Annie in Science and Addie in shop. Lyndy and Wyatt were on top of the world and loving 9th grade. Their friends ribbed them a lot because they were so close, but they were not embarrassed with their outward show of emotions for each other. But the one thing they never let up on was their education. Lyndy was excelling in all of her subjects, constantly receiving recognition from the teachers and staff. Wyatt was starting to show a passion for Math and Science and was considering looking into a medical field, with Veterinary medicine on the top of the list. He was considering asking Lyndy's dad if he could shadow him or one of the other vets in the company.

Amy and Ty were in the office finishing up their notes for the day. They made it a priority to be home for the kids after school to stay engaged in what happened that day. As Ty was looking over his email he noticed a familiar name in his inbox. "Babe, I got an email from Dr. Molder from the U of C. Looks like they are wondering if we want to do another lecture for the first semester. He says they had a record number of students enter the Veterinary medicine program and many ask about our lecture. Pretty cool." She smiled, "I expected that since we are so amazing. But Ty we are so busy, We barely have time to do what we have here. What do you think?" He laughed, "Well we are kind of like professors so we need to think of something. I have an idea." She went over to him and sat in his lap kissing his cheek. "I don't mean that, although it is nice. Anyway, what I think we should do is have Scott, Cass and Ellie also provide a demonstration on how they have incorporated some of your horse healing skills with other animals. It will cut back on some of the time needed for us and it would provide the kids with a more diverse look at total animal care." She kissed him again, "Dr. Borden you are amazing. And the bonus is they get a look at other parts of what our company does. It's a win-win. Let's run it by him and get with Scott, Cass, Ellie, Georgie and Steve to brainstorm." She moved to kiss him more passionately and they got lost in the moment until JT came running in the room followed by a giggling Maddie. "JT we caught them."

Needless to say, Dr. Molder was excited about the idea and agreed that a more diverse look at animal care would gain more excitement in the entire program. The U of C was becoming one of the leading vet care programs in North America thanks in part to these lectures. After meeting with the team at Heartland EE, everyone was excited and looking forward to it. Dr. Molder announced the event to the school and requests were pouring in already. They were going to use the sports arenas for the event which moved the potential audience to over 4000. Ty, Amy and the rest of the team laid out an agenda. Ty provided an overview to everyone. "Ok, Amy, Georgie, Steven and I will present a horse study from initial meeting to resolution. We have a specific horse already in mind and will get with the owners for their permission. We should take an hour and a half and of course will include a liberty demonstration from Amy and jumping from Georgie. Then Soctt, Cass and Ellie will provide case studies on a dog, cat, maybe some cattle and a few other exotic animals. Ellie you said you worked with an alpaca and Cass you said and eagle correct. Would that be possible?" They all said yes and Cass added, "If you guys are good with it I would like to do an acupuncture segment too. Ellie and I have been using it a lot and have seen great results." Scott laughed looking at Ty and Amy, "And I remember when some couple I know had little faith in it. Not now ehh." They all laughed remembering their reluctance at first. So the agenda was finalized and sent to Dr. Molder, who immediately added it to the site where he had it posted. The lecture would be in three weeks so there was plenty of time to prepare. The entire group was excited and looking forward to the new approach they were taking.

Since the majority of the prep work for the lecture was done, Amy and Ty focused on their work and helping the girls get ready for the Fall Finale the weekend after the lecture. Amy and Ty were talking to one of the ranch hands when she got an email alert. As she read it her eyes widened. She grabbed Ty's arm, "We need to go to the office, Chuck will catch up with you later." Ty noticed Amy's urgency as they quickly walked to the office. As she closed the door she went to her computer pulling Ty along. She opened the email and immediately Ty noticed an official country emblem on the header of the content. They red it quietly together. The letter was from an assistant to the Crown Prince of Dubai, Malik El Rason. He mentioned that he was told to contact you from a friend, Amed El Assid. When they saw that name their emotions took over remembering what he had done to them. Putting that aside they continued to read the letter. He was requesting that they look at their daughter Aisha's horse, Sunshine. After bonding with the horse initially, problems arose and the horse was becoming more and more agitated and aggressive. His words showed desperation as he continued to describe the situation. His last line hit the nail on the head, "Aisha is devastated about her horse and we need your help. Please we beg of you. If you can we would like to have a Zoom meeting with you at the time you determine. Amed told us that you two were the best in the world so please consider helping us." Both Ty and Amy noticed his genuine concern for this young lady. After a few minutes to absorb the request Amy spoke, "Ty we need to help her. It is just like any other horse and I am moved by this guy's plea." He smiled, "Of course we do." They hugged and Amy responded to the email to set up the call. Ty began researching the family and came to find that they were in the States, actually Colorado on the ranch they own. He also found that his family was one of the richest in the world.

Within an hour a Zoom Meeting invite was sent to Amy for the following morning. Amy and Ty decided to invite Georgie as well as a message to the potential clients that they were fully committed to helping the horse and their daughter. At dinner that night the family was excited about the high-profile client. Maddie blurted out, "Mom and dad this is so cool, he is like a king or something. Will he come here and can we meet him? I can't wait to tell everyone at school." Ty immediately stopped her and told all the kids, "Guys we don't tell anyone anything until we talk to the owners. I expect if this happens there will be a lot of media attention." Annie looked concerned so Amy asked her what was bothering her. She whispered to the family, "Mom, I know the last time you worked with a Prince, you and dad broke up and almost didn't get married. I am concerned that this might happen again." Amy smiled and spoke clearly to the kids, "Guys that was a long time ago and I let myself be drawn into a world that I didn't belong in. Your dad and for that matter the entire family saw that I had changed, for the worse. Prince Amed, who actually recommended us read my friendship as much more and it forced your dad to head butt him to clear things up." Addie smiled and high fived her dad, "Way to go dad!" Ty quickly answered her, "Well it wasn't my best moment. But after we went to save the wild horses in Pike River, I saw that your mom had changed, only for the better. It was the third time I proposed to her and one of the best days of our lives." Amy smiled and went to sit on Ty's lap, "I have my forever Prince now," kissing his cheek as the kids gagged and laughed at them. A family hug followed.

After Amy and Ty made their rounds they got ready for bed. Ty marveled as he laid in bed watching his wife get ready. She sat in a beautiful silk robe which he was sure covered a very seductive set of PJs. She combed her hair out and cleaned up her face. She applied lotion to her body knowing that he was watching. She looked over with a coy smile as she moved her hands up and down her legs and arms. He was always amazed at how she could work all day with horses with dust and dirt everywhere but at night was a seductive, beautiful woman. He was getting worked up a bit and she knew it. She looked over again, "Well my prince, see something you like. The view I am seeing tells me that I believe you do." He just wanted to go over, pick her up and carry her to their bed. But he waited as she walked over, let her robe slip to the floor, showing him that the only thing she had on was her beautiful soft naked body. She crawled into bed, moving close to him cooing with lust, "Someone is over dressed," He quickly discarded his boxers and she began kissing him from head to toe. Spending extra time pleasing him with her lips and mouth. He tried with all his might to remain motionless as he neared his climax. Amy was relentless as Ty's moans increased. She moved to the side allowing him access between her legs. It was her turn to moan as he touched her in the way she wanted him to. Their urge and need escalated as they both erupted in pleasure. As always the lovers focused on each other. As the passion continued Amy hovered over her man, lowering herself onto him to unite their heated bodies. Their fluid motions were in sync and moving each of them to another mutual tempest of love. They moaned as the gazed into each other's eyes. He was overwhelmed as he watched her body move and her breasts bounce. As they reached an amazing orgasm they both shook collapsing into each other. Their panting and sweaty bodies were one and their love was undeniable. As they calmed a bit Amy whispered, Ty that was amazing, wonderful, magical, and any other word I can think of." He smiled, "Well Mrs. Borden you always surprise me. Just when I think we have reached the peak of our love, you top it. You are everything to me. Amy I love you completely and forever." She smirked again and whispered into his ear, "Ready for round two?" He smiled rolling her over as then continued to show each other a love unmatched. They were Amy and Ty.

The next morning, Amy and Ty definitely needed to sleep in as their night went well into the morning. Lyndy and Wyatt took control, got the other kids up, fed them breakfast and got them ready for the bus. Just before they had to leave, Amy and Ty, in their now clothed bodies walked down yawning. "Wow you guys are all ready, that is amazing." Ty said between yawns. Amy ran to the coffee but before she needed to get it Annie and Addie handed a cup to each of them. Addie huffed, "I guess we need to be more self-sufficient since you guys slept in, again!" Amy smiled, "Well your dad and I stayed up getting ready for the call this morning and we lost track of time." Maddie looked at them with earnest, "Yea right, just to let you know we feel five kids is enough so just keep that in mind." Lyndy poked her arm, "Maddie be nice, the call this morning is a big deal, I bet mom and dad are a little nervous." She smiled and hugged her mom and very quietly whispered giggling, "Really 5 is enough." Amy and Ty saw the kids off, got dressed, grabbed a third cup of coffee and headed to their office. The call was going to be in an hour and Georgie was already heading over. Amy spoke up, "I really don't know what to expect Ty. I mean is there protocol we follow, how do we address them. I don't know what to expect." Ty looked at her trying to calm her, "Amy didn't you tell me that you learned how to handle clients like this when you were in Europe. I think we treat them like any other client. I think we do that pretty well and let's be honest, everyone loves you, you are the Miracle Girl!" She rolled her eyes and walked over to sit in his lap for a kiss, "Well last night was like a miracle, ehh." They here wrapped up in each other and were interrupted by a clearing throat. Looking up they saw a smiling Georgie.

"Well I hope you two get that out of your system before our Zoom call. I don't think the Crown Prince and his family want to see you two making out." She giggled. They both laughed and started getting ready for the call. They wanted to make sure they had information about the entire company and what they could offer to them. Ty was right, it was just another client but the potential effect on the business having such a high-profile client could provide long term benefits. They were ready and went to join the meeting. As Ty opened up the meeting link they saw three additional attendees. As everyone came online, the Assistant who had sent the emails spoke up, "Dr. and Mrs. Borden thank you so much for meeting with us on such short notice. We know you are extremely busy and are excited about the opportunity to work with you. Let me introduce his highness, Crown Prince Malik El Rason and his wife Amina. Also on the call is their daughter Aisha, who is at Sunny's stable. And most importantly behind Aisha is Sunshine." Amy and Ty smiled saying hello and making sure that they called them Amy and Ty moving forward. The Prince smiled and talked first, "Well Amy and Ty we are so pleased that you are taking the time to meet with us. We have heard so much about you and your reputation is impressive. Amy, they call you the Miracle Girl and we definitely need one of those." Amy smiled, "Well your highness, thank you but that was a long time ago. We are looking forward to working with your daughter and Sunshine. Between Ty, Georgie and myself we have seen just about any issue you can think of. With time I am sure we can help you." Aisha smiled and said in surprise, "Georgie, do you mean Georgie Weber, the Canadian Olympic Champion? I have modeled my training after her videos and love to achieve a level of skill close to hers." Georgie smiled, "Well after we fix Sunshine how about we spend some time together. I also want you to meet Amy's daughter Lyndy, who is about your age and is definitely an Olympic contender as well. I think you can learn from each other." The call ended and the family planned on arriving an a few days.

It was the morning of the arrival of the royal clients and the staff was excited. A couple of days prior, the family's security team arrived to look over the facility. The family and staff were staying at Fairfield and were taking up over half the rooms. Sunshine had already arrived and was settling in the family stables. Amy wanted to make sure he was protected as the family stable was generally off limits to anyone except the Borden's, Weber's, Wyatt, Katie and Clay. The media caught wind of the family's arrival in Hudson so the security team met with them and established some guidelines. They were also a set of parameters set for the staff. Amy and Ty were in their office and when security called stating that the family was 5 minutes out. They were happy it was a school day and the greeting would be kid less. They loved them to death but they could be overwhelming. As the convoy of vehicles arrived, Ty, Amy Georgie and Steven were there to greet them. The drivers opened the doors as the Crown Prince, his wife and daughter along with their personal assistant exited. The approached them with smiles and handshakes. The assistant spoke up, "Amy, Ty Georgie it is great to meet you in person. Is this your husband Georgie?" She smiled nervously, "Sorry yes this is Steven, he is one of the 5 Vets on staff here for our company and my husband." Amina El Rason spoke to her in a calming tone, "Young lady please don't be nervous. We are just regular people, expect for the Royal thing. I hear that you have the cutest twins in the world, when do we get to meet them?" On cue, Katey and Clay walked up with an excited Noah and Hannah reaching for their parents. Katie smiled, "Sorry they really wanted to see you guys." Mrs. El Rason spoke with glee, "Oh my they are simply adorable, may I hold one of them." Georgie laughed handing Hannah to her, "Well they are a handful but Hannah seems to like you." She smiled as Hannah was clinging to her smiling happily. "Well I have always loved babies, Aisha can tell you how I doddle over all the children around me." It seemed the initial greeting went well.

The Crown Prince and Aisha wanted to see Sunshine and the facility. Amina opted to offer to care for the twins. As they walked around the Crown Prince asked several questions and seemed impressed. When they came to Sunshine, he immediately noticed Aisha and leaned over the stable door to nudge her. "How has he been since he arrived Amy, he seems very calm." Amy smiled, "Well he was a little nervous when he got here so I took some time to do some T-Touch and he settled down a lot. Sometimes when a horse is brought into a new environment it is nerve racking. I just wanted to settle him." The Crown Prince smiled whispering, "You may have to teach me that trick, sometimes my wife or one of my five daughters gets a little out of control. Does it work on humans?" She smiled leaning into him, "I use it on Ty all the time so I can help you with that." They finished the tour and went to the office to talk about Sunshine. Aisha did most of the talking explaining that she had Sunshine since she was a colt and they grew up together. She smiled as she talked about jumping with him and how much they loved it. "When we were practicing or in a competition, he would hold his head high just before we started. All I had to do was start the run and we gelled as one unit. But in a recent international qualifying event in the states, he seemed anxious and our run was terrible." She began to tear up, "I was so devastated because I didn't know what was wrong. He was hurting and I couldn't help. He lashed out to the trainers and stable hands, even trying to bite on of them. Amy he is the kind and gentle horse and his actions were not like him." Amy calmed her and looked into her eyes. "Aisha, a horse is just like you and me. Things happen to us that make us unhappy or even mad. It seems to me he is mad about something. With your help I promise that Georgie and I will figure this out and you will get your friend back." Her father put his arm around his little girl, "Aisha, I feel very good about working with these wonderful people. Amy what are the next steps?"

The spent a few minutes talking about the steps of the process. "Ty and Steven will vet the horse to see if there is anything physical we need to worry about. Then I will attempt to gain his trust doing a join up. Georgie will be involved as well due to her jumping skills and most importantly you will be too. I am confident that he trust you, but we need to insure he trust the others around him." She stopped to see if there were any questions. Aisha I have a question, do you ever just take Sunshine out for a ride for fun?" She smiled at her question a little confused. "Well not really, he has a trainer and two stable hands that tend to him for me." Amy smiled, "Well then after we gain his trust in the round pen, you will join the Borden family for a trail ride. Your parents can come along as well if they would like. Horses are herd animals and a trail ride is a good opportunity for him to bond with other horses and humans. Sound good?" Aisha smiled looking at her father to see his agreement. "So let's have some lunch while Ty and Steven do their exam. I want to hear more about you and your horse." Amy smiled gently hugging her. By the look on the Crown Prince's face he realized they had made the right decision. Lunch was at Fairfield for a small group except when Amina decided to have the Weber twins there as well. During lunch Amy and Georgie got more detail on the horses home environment, training schedule and they got a little more information about the people closest to him. As dinner was almost finished, Ty and Steven joined them. Noah saw his daddy and ran to him causing a ruckus. Ty filled them in on their findings, "He has no physical issues that would cause the behaviors you are seeing. He is an amazingly healthy horse and one of the strongest I have seen in a while." He looked over to his wife, "So it seems the Miracle Girl will be the one to help you." He leaned over to kiss his wife on the cheek. The Royal family couldn't help but notice their love for each other.

Amy and Georgie decided to let him rest for the afternoon so Aisha and her parents were able to experience what they do with the other client horses. As they walked around the staff greeted them with respect and awe, always respecting their privacy. The family was very impressed. As the time approached for the kids to get back from school, Amy and Ty excused themselves and invited the three of them to dinner at the Miracle Ranch house. Amy laughed, "So far you have had it easy, tonight when you meet our kids you will be put to the test. I apologize in advance." Amina smiled, "I can't wait to meet your kids, 4 girls and a boy correct? Ty smiled, "well we also have guardian rights for a young man named Wyatt, who just happens to be our oldest daughter's boyfriend. We will go over that later," he laughed. Amy added, "And I expect our youngest daughter's friend Gwen will be there to. She is kind of like another daughter and is an amazingly special young lady." The family smiled and decided to head back to Fairfield to rest a bit and get ready for dinner. Amy and Ty nervously waited for the kids and got with Lou and Lisa to help get dinner ready for the group. They decided on BBQ and all the fixings so Jack got busy with the grill. As the kids arrived Amy and Ty filled them in on dinner plans and told them to finish their homework, dress in something nice and help clean up the house. They were excited and couldn't wait to meet real royalty.

The family waited on the porch as their guest pulled up. The three of them got out of the car and walked up to the welcoming family. Maddie was the first to blurt out as she curtseyed, "Welcome to our home you highnesses." Everyone laughed as Amina went to hug her, "Darling we don't need to be bowed to, we just want to be your friend." Maddie smiled as she hugged her back. JT ran to her as well given her a big hug and eventually the twins and Lyndy joined them." Ty laughed, "What can I say we are big huggers here." While everyone headed into the house, Lyndy and Wyatt walked over to Aisha, "Do you want to go to see the horses, I would love to meet Sunshine." Amy smiled as she walked in with Amina, "I was hoping they would bond, I really want to get Lyndy involved with helping her as well. We love our daughter and I think your daughter is a lot like her." Amina smiled in agreement. As they entered the house they met Lou, Lisa and Jack. Ty introduced them to the royal couple. Malik asked, "Will you be joining us for dinner? Lisa answered, "Not tonight but before you leave we would love to invite you to Heartland for a "family dinner," they are something to behold. They said their farewells and Lou gave a thumbs up to Amy assuring her everything was ready to go. After the three teens returned from the barn everyone sat down for dinner. The Borden clan said grace and then Amina said a traditional prayer that was a part of their mealtime ritual. "That was lovely, can you tell us what it means'" Addie asked. She described the meaning of the words and prayers and they all noted the similarity of the two verses. Dinner was great, and the Crown Prince couldn't get enough of the BBQ, Annie boasted, "The meat we are eating is Heartland beef that is raised by my Grandpa Tim. It is sold locally in our grocery stores." He laughed, "Do you ship, I would love to send some back home, it is delicious." Dinner proceeded as the kids were asked about their school and activities. Amy and Ty were proud how their kids respectfully answered and asked about their lives and their other children. Aisha was the youngest and the royal couple had 11 grandchildren. Amina laughed, "Like I told your parents I love kids!" Dinner ended and everyone said goodbye on the porch. Amy looked over to Aisha, "Tomorrow young lady, we get to work."

The next day was spent lunging Sunshine to gain his trust. As Amy worked with him, Georgie watched intently for any signs from the horse. She had Aisha next to her so she could ask her questions. Amy was focused on the horse as he was extremely difficult and hard to reach. It had been an hour and a half and she made little progress. Both Amy and the horse were panting and sweaty. Georgie sensed her frustration. "Hey Amy, how about a break. I think you both need it. But I want Aisha to spend some time with him. She seems to be able to calm him more than anyone else." Amy smiled in agreement. She went to thank Sunshine for the time, rubbing his nose and talking quietly to him. Georgie whispered to Aisha, "She is making sure that Sunny doesn't think she is mad. When you get out there you need to continue to show him he is not at fault." Aisha understood and changed places with Amy. Amy and Georgie grabbed a bottle of water and sat on some hay bales to chat. Amy caught her breath, "I just can't seem to reach him Georgie, he is really angry about something." Georgie put her arm around her aunt, "Well I have been talking to Aisha and I think I may have an idea of what is going on. Like with most people of her status, it is not customary for her to spend a lot of time outside of training and competition with her horse. I saw it a lot of that in the Olympics, in fact I was ridiculed because I fed and saddled Phoenix myself, It is a pretty snobby world." Amy smiled understanding what she meant. Georgie continued, "Amy she loves that horse and I think if she spends more time with him, his behavior will improve. After the break, Amy decided to bring Aisha into the round pen with her. Sunshine seemed to be more responsive as Amy slowly turned the control over to her rider. Immediately Amy and Georgie noticed a change in the horse. Amy slowly stepped back and coached Aisha through the process. Within 15 minutes Amy instructed her to stop the horse and turn slowly walking away. She was confused but did as told. She heard hoof beats slowly approaching her. Amy controlled her excitement, "Now when he reaches you rub his nose and thank him." The look on Aisha's tearful eyes was heartwarming. She had her horse back.

As planned the next day, which was a Saturday and a trail ride was planned. Amy decided to just have Aisha go not her parents. But she also asked Ty, Georgie, Lyndy, Annie, Addie and Maddie to go along. Amy made sure that Lyndy rode next to Aisha so she could show her the bond she had with Sundance. She explained to Aisha and her parents that she needed Sunshine to be in a non-competitive ride for fun and bringing the others would help her and Sunshine. They completely understood. Malik and Amina joked, "Ty what a lucky man surrounded by all these beautiful women." Ty laughed, "Yes welcome to my world." They rode off with plans to head to the ridge for a picnic and then to the river for some cooling down. The ride was perfect and the girls even got a chance to swim a bit and most importantly Sunshine was able to hang around with the other horses. When they got ready to leave Aisha spoke to Amy and Ty. "This was amazing, I haven't felt Sunshine this calm in a long time." Ty smiled, "Well I can tell you from experience, just like a human, horses need a balance between fun time and work time. I think Sunny hasn't had enough of that." Amy smiled adding, "Aisha he needs it as much as you do. You two need to reconnect not in the competitive mode, but in the happy mode." Aisha smiled hugging them both.

As they got back to the ranch, they saw Jack and Lisa on the porch with an energetic JT and Aisha's parents. As they got off the horses, Annie, Addi and Maddie took all of them to the barn. The rest of the group headed up to the porch. JT screamed, "Mommy, Daddy, I missed you." Amina smiled at the actions of her new friend, "Wait JT what about me?" He laughed and ran over to hug her. Aisha went to hug her father, "Daddy the ride was amazing and Ty and Amy are amazing too. Sunshine hasn't been this calm in a long time. I need to have fun with him too. Lately it has been all work and he misses that and has not been happy." He smiled, shaking Ty's hand and giving Amy a hug. He quietly said thank you to them. The rest of the visit went well. Amy and Amina were happy to see Lyndy and Aisha spending time together. As they got ready to leave a few days later, thank yous and goodbye hugs abounded. Aisha's parents were heading back home in the morning and Aisha was heading back to Colorado. Aisha promised to bring Sunshine back once more before she headed home. Aisha smiled to Georgie, "Maybe I will see you at the next Olympics." Georgie smiled, "I am sure I will but I won't take it easy on you." Everyone laughed as they headed off. Amy held on to Ty as they waved goodbye. "I love you so much Ty, and I think I know what horse we will be using for the lecture." Ty smiled, Well Miracle Girl, I love you too and I knew you were going to say that."
