Chapter Sixty-Seven
Lyndy and Wyatt
A/N – Being close to family who have battled breast cancer, I am very aware of the life changes it brings. The first part of my last chapter pays homage to them. And some may say that the Borden girl's horse jumping prowess is exaggerated but my answer is, it is a story of fiction. I have a close friend who along with his siblings accomplished national recognition so it can be a genetics thing. My next chapter serves two purposes. First I have had several request to expand on Lyndy and Wyatt's relationship. Second, as I have mentioned on some review replies I am doing a spinoff story on Lyndy so this is kind of a preview of what's coming It seems she is popular with many of you. Mature Content (Don't worry it's just Amy and Ty) Enjoy
Keep the reviews coming. I am not one to be competitive nor do I need a pat on the back but I really enjoy them. They are all appreciated. My storylines have found a second wind so please let me know what you think of them. And as always let me know what you want me to write about. I love suggestions.
After the lows and highs of the last couple of weeks, Amy and Ty were happy that some semblance of normalcy had returned. As they got ready to head to breakfast as normal they hugged, kissed and told each other I love you. Early in their relationship they made a pack that no matter what they would always tell each other that. It was important for both of them and they did it often. As they walked down they noticed a very busy Wyatt and Lyndy preparing breakfast and setting the table. Amy smiled, "Hey what's going on here you two. Dad and I were going to handle breakfast this morning." Lyndy smiled bringing 2 fresh coffees to them. "Here you go , you just have a seat, Wyatt and I got this." Amy looked at Ty with a question in her eye but thankfully went with him to the living room to enjoy their morning coffee and a little cuddling. "What is up with those two," Ty whispered, "Did you know this was happening. I mean I am not complaining but it seems they have been a lot closer lately." Amy leaned into him, "I know, Lyndy and I have really been talking a lot about it. I know Wyatt just turned 15 and our girl is 14 but they are both so mature and sure of themselves. Lyndy's biggest concern is what their friends think. Seems kids at school are saying that we let them sleep in the same room and that Lyndy looks like she is pregnant." Amy blushed, "Ty she is so amazing but she has told me that they only kiss, nothing else. They have decided to wait till they get a little older to go any farther than that. It was really sweet and sincere. She just hates the rumors." They took a breath as they watch them scurry around. Ty spoke up, "Do you think I should talk to him, we have a good relationship." She looked into his eyes, "I think that would be great but please be gentle not like you were when we confronted Georgie and Steven. You really embarrassed him," she chuckled. They both agreed to keep their communication lines open and stay close to the two of them.
The rest of the kids came to breakfast with the same level of surprise and excitement. The family sat around the table still buzzing about the Fall Finale and looking forward to the upcoming weeks of school leading up to the Holiday. There was a lot going on so Amy and Ty told them to get to the bus and they would clean up. Lyndy hugged her mom and Amy asked, "I have to ask, why did you two make breakfast today?" Lyndy blushed, "Well after yesterday when everyone was so supportive of me at the Fall Finale, we decided last night to do it. And mom, I like when we spend time together, just us. Everything is so hectic with school, work and everything else so it is nice when it is just the two of us." Amy laughed as Lyndy looked at her. "Your dad and I used to do that a lot, especially when our feelings continued to grow for each other. It's like everyone wanted to be in our business. Well, have a good day and girlie, be careful and smart." Lyndy laughed, "Don't go all mom on me, we are being smart, we care to much for each other to ruin it." They hugged again as she headed to the bus. Ty and Amy cleaned up and headed to the barn office. It was going to be a busy week for the couple and they needed to get things organized. As they walked over hand in hand they both had Lyndy and Wyatt on their minds.
As they got off the bus the happy couple walked hand in hand until they reached their separate groups of friends. They kissed quickly and went on their way. As Lyndy approached her friends all giggled as Maya spoke up, "You too are amazing. I am so jealous of what you two have." Another girl asked, "Is he a good kisser, I have kissed boys and they really suck at it." A third girl laughed, "Katie, you kiss a lot of boys, but Lyndy is he really good at it?" Lyndy tried to change the conversation but finally answered their barrage. "Well he is the only boy I have really kissed. My mom always says that my dad is the best kisser ever and I think that Wyatt is for me. He always thinks of me and never himself." Her starry eyes looked his way. "So he is a great kisser." The girls all giggled and headed to class. Meanwhile Wyatt received a similar welcome from his friends. Logan start the rant, "Man Wyatt you are so whipped. You know how many girls you could have if you wanted." Brent added, "She must be pretty special to you." Wyatt smiled, "Yea, she is my best friend and her family is amazing. Since Grandma has been sick her mom and dad have taken legal guardianship of me and are always there when I need them." Then one of them went too far, "I bet she is a wild cat in bed, have you guys done it yet?" Wyatt immediately grabbed his shirt collar and looked deeply into his eyes. "Don't you ever say anything like that again. We respect each other and know we are still young. I care to much for her to hurt her. So keep your mouth shut." He acted like he was going to add to the deluge but Wyatt increased his grip. He finally added, "Sorry man." Lyndy had seen the altercation from a far and made note to ask him later.
The rest of the school day went well and at lunch Wyatt filled her in on the incident. Looking around quickly, she kissed his cheek and smiled, "Thank you Wyatt, you are wonderful and I really love you." They finished the rest of the day and on the way home planned a quick trail ride after chores and homework. They were also excited about the upcoming fall dance at school deciding to go with their close group of friends. She frowned, "Mom and dad volunteered to chaperone, I hope my dad behaves." Wyatt smiled and kind of surprised her, "Actually I think that is cool and I love your mom and dad. They are not even my parents and they are more involved in our lives than many of our friend's real parents. Trust me not having real parents is hard and they have helped me see what that is like again." A tear was in his eye and he tried to hide it. Lyndy reached up and wiped it quietly saying, "Wyatt they love you too." They were quiet the rest of the bus ride home and when they jumped off they decided to get their homework done. Working together with the rest of the girls they got done, even taking some time to help the other girls and JT. Lyndy watched Wyatt as he helped JT finished his drawing for class the next day. She smiled at how wonderful he was with him. They had formed a great bond and gave JT some male companionship in a house full of crazy girls. Once finished they all headed to the barn to take care of the family horses. Again Lyndy watched as JT hung with Wyatt filling the water troughs. There was a lot of laughing and ribbing amongst the siblings and Wyatt felt like a true member of the family.
With an hour left for dinner they headed out for a quick trail ride. "Let's go to the jumping course and I will show you how it is done." She bragged. He answered smiling, "Hmm, the Fall Finale Champion against a novice jumper. Seems fair." They laughed as they headed to the course. After a few rounds, the let the horses graze and sat up against a log to drink some water. He looked at her seriously, "So Lyndy Borden, what are you going to do. Your mom and aunt think you have Olympic potential. You are an amazing jumper and I heard your mom and dad talking one night saying that Georgie feels you have more potential than she did when she was your age. And your dancing. Lyndy look how many schools want you to come and dance for them." He took a moment as he was getting emotional. "When I watch you dance I get butterflies in my stomach. You are the most beautiful dancer and girl I have ever seen. When you dance your mom and dad have a look of such love in their eyes I can't even describe it. Especially your mom, you two are so close and so much alike." Lyndy smiled at him staring at his grey eyes. "Wyatt, I know I have a hard decision to make, I love them both so much. But I am sure when the time comes I will have my mom and dad as well as you to help me. Wyatt, I get butterflies with you too. When you helped JT with his homework and then let him help you with chores, I couldn't keep my eyes off of you. You, Wyatt Miller are a keeper and I want to be with you forever." They hugged an hopped up to get back to the ranch, it was almost dinner time.
As they walked into the house they realized they were late. As they headed to the table to seat, a clearly upset Maddie was ready to erupt, "Well look who decided to join us. What have your two been doing, we have been waiting for 15 minutes." Amy and Ty put their heads down trying to hold back their laughter. Annie and Addie were turning red as well as they listened to the resident disciplinarian. Finally Wyatt spoke up. "Well Miss Maddie, for your information we went to the old jumping course and after Lyndy made me look like a beginner we had to rest the horses. Then when we got back, they needed to be brushed and fed. It just took a little more time." Maddie didn't seemed pleased with the answer. So, when the horses were "resting" what were you two doing, making out and getting all cuddly." Lyndy raised her eyes and looked right at her little sister. "Yes, we were making out and hugging and all that mushy stuff, it was amazing. Wyatt is wonderful and a good kisser." Maddie was overwhelmed with such a direct answer. The rest of the family was about ready to pass out holding back their laughter. "Maddie you want to see us kiss now, we can do it at the table." With that the entire family lost it as poor Maddie was dumbfounded. Looking a bit dejected, Lyndy and Wyatt went over to her and gave her a big hug, "Little sis' I am just playing with you, Wyatt and I really love you." They smooched all over her face as she gagged in disgust. "Ok , chill I am sorry, I am just really hungry." The family really had a great dinner with conversations about school, their horses and everything else they could think of. Lyndy reached under the table and held Wyatt's hand. They smiled at each other. Amy couldn't help but notice the two of them and smiled warmly. She grabbed Ty's hand as he saw the same as she did. He whispered, "Kind of looks familiar." She smiled lightly kissing his cheek.
It was Saturday and Lyndy and Wyatt had a trip planned to visit Grandma June. And it was the day of the Fall 9th Grade Dance. Lyndy had made a trip with Lisa and Amy the weekend before to Calgary to get the right dress and she was not disappointed. After trying on several she found one that was perfect. It was dark blue and landed near her ankles. For a 14-year-old, Lyndy was a beautiful young woman, being developed a few years older than she was. The dress fit her just right. She didn't want to show too much as she was genuinely modest with her clothes. After she showed them the dress and went back to the dressing room, Lisa whispered to Amy, "You have a big problem, that young lady is drop dead gorgeous. How do you think Ty is going to react to that dress?" Amy smiled, "I got it covered, her won't see it until the night of the dance when Wyatt sees it. He will have no choice but to be happy." "Tricky girl, I remember when Ty saw you in that green dress I bought for your school formal. I thought he was going to pass out when he looked at you." Amy smiled, "I think Wyatt is going to do the same when he sees it too." Lyndy came out with the dress they all liked with a frown on her face. "Mom I just saw the price, this is way more than our budget. Maybe we should go with that other one." Lisa raised her hand, "Not a problem. Lilly, Casey and I will be buying your dress. And you two no argument, it is a done deal, I have already talked to the clerk." Lyndy hugged Lisa and made a note to call both Casey and Lilly.
Ty dropped them off at the retirement center with a promise to be back midafternoon. They both had a dance to get ready for. As they checked in they walked down the hall to see Grandma June waiting anxiously for them. She hugged both of them, "It is so good to see you both. I can't wait to hear what's going on and by the way congratulations Lyndy. I have several friends who want to meet the Fall Finale champion." She took a breath and chuckled. "And you know the two dance instructors. They said they need to have a serious chat about your dancing career." They decided to sit outside since the weather was so nice. As they headed to a table, June's friend Gladys yelled over, "Junie good to see the youngsters visiting again. They are an adorable couple, are they married?" June shushed her, "Gladys, they are only 15." Another older resident yelled over, "Heck, I was married at 16." The three of them laughed and sat down to catch up. June had a bunch of questions, "Well Lyndy honey how are your parents and all those siblings of her. Your family is amazing, I love them all so much." Lyndy smiled holding Wyatt's hand, "Well thanks they are pretty amazing. And don't forget you are invited to Thanksgiving and the whole group is looking forward to seeing you." She smiled and held onto June's hand as well. Their conversation continued and Lyndy couldn't help but notice the two ballet teachers looking over at her with a serious look on their face. June laughed, "Honey you better go over and talk to them, they are chomping at the bit to speak some sense into you. Anyway I need to talk to this one here. You two can be apart for a few minutes, right?" They laughed as Lyndy headed over to them.
June leaned into her grandson. "Honey, you have a keeper there, she is smart, talented, beautiful and can't keep her eyes off of you. How have you two been." Wyatt smiled at her, "Grandma we have been great. Her mom and dad and siblings are amazing and I am so happy that I can stay with them. You know I was young when mom and dad died but I know now what it is like to have a mom and dad that love you. Grandma, they treat me like their own child. And the way they are with Lyndy and I is amazing. They are supportive but set ground rules. And Lyndy, she is my everything. I know we are young, but I really care for her grandma. She is my best friend and I respect and love her with all of my heart." She smiled looking over at Lyndy and whispering, "I hope she is doing Ok, those two New York ladies can be rough. And honey, don't be afraid to love her. You are both very mature for your ages but just be patient. A loved developed over time is one that lives on forever. I have watched Amy and Ty and their love is forever. I am so happy you guys rely on their guidance. When I first met them, I knew they were a special couple. There is no one else I would rather have being your guardians." Wyatt smiled and hugged her tightly. Then he pulled out a pretty large box they brought in. The house has sold and when they were cleaning up he found some personal items he thought she would want. There were pictures and other items he remembered meant something to her. Together they went through the box and she told the story behind everyone. Wyatt looked into her teary eyes, "Grandma, before we leave can we help you set these up in your room. Lyndy and I want to help." Looking over to Lyndy smiling her way she shook her head yes.
Lyndy had finished her interrogation and left the two instructors with the realization that she had not made up her mind. She loved dance but to have a chance to be in the Olympics was hard to ignore. She looked at both of them with purpose, "I really appreciate your insight and guidance. To have two people with your credentials be such a strong supporter is awesome. But I have to make a decision that is best for me. Dance is very important to me. The thrill of being on stage and getting lost in the music and dance steps is a feeling that I really enjoy." One of the ladies spoke holding Lyndy's hand, "You are an amazing young woman and we know that you will make the right decision. If you go with your horse jumping, don't forget dance. With you skill you could become an instructor. We can both attest to the fact that the rush you get on stage is equal to the one you get when a student of yours is on it too." Saying their goodbyes, Lydy thanked them both. As she walked away one leaned into the other, "What a remarkable young woman, she will do great things." Lyndy went to Wyatt and his grandma as they were heading back to her room to put out some of the items up from the box they brought. She knew Wyatt was excited and was looking forward to helping her. For the next hour they laughed and joked about all of the stuff in the box. Ty was going to be there shortly and as they left, June said, "Have fun at the dance. And I want a picture of you too to put right here next to my bed." They smiled hugged her tightly as Ty entered the room. He smiled and gave June a hug, "I hope these two weren't a bother June." She laughed, "No they are a joy, have fun tonight you two and be safe." As they left June smiled at Ty mouthing thank you to him.
As they pulled up they saw three very concerned girls on the porch. Wyatt spoke up, "Mr. Borden, someone is in trouble and it is not you and me." As Lyndy got out Maddie made a beeline to her, "Lyndy where have you been. You have to get ready, a shower, hair, makeup and get dressed. We have a light snack for you because I know you guys are going to dinner at Maggie's with your friends but Lyndy we have a lot to do, now come on." Barely able to respond she was drug into the house by Annie, Addie and Maddie. JT saw them and laughed running to Wyatt and his dad. "Those girls are crazy." They headed in and Ty saw Amy at the table on her computer. She looked up, "Trust me I am not involved, this is all them." Ty kissed her forehead as Wyatt and JT headed out to the barn to see the horses. "So Mrs. Borden when do I get to see your dress for tonight." She giggled, "Later when we are getting ready. You know I wouldn't mind a shower buddy if you are available. He laughed and they walked into their room locking the door. She smiled, "Kind of early for our shower?" He smiled kissing her passionately, "Well maybe we should wait and find a reason for one." He began unbuttoning her blouse and moving his lips onto her neck and down to her upper chest. Amy moaned, "Yea, I see what you mean." He continued to undress his wife and carried her over to their bed. She helped him get his clothes off as well and the each used their hands and lips to excite their partners. Ty kissed his way down her stomach taking his time to arouse her breast. Amy loved when he paid attention to them and reacted as her climax was reached. He continued down her body reaching where she wanted him to be. She reciprocated kissing and moving her hands to pleasure him. They were each focused on pleasing each other and they did, several times. As they joined Amy hovered over her lover working with him to reach a combined level of satisfaction that only they could achieve. As they calmed from their love making session, Amy breathlessly said, "I think we really need a shower now."
Amy and Ty came down refreshed, dressed and ready to go. The family had eaten light as most would be eating later. When they walked in, Wyatt hooted, "Man look at you two, you look awesome." Amy smiled Katie and Clay were there to watch the other girls and JT and they were whistling as well. Amy smiled, "Shut it you guys and Wyatt, wait until you see Lyndy's dress. You better hold on to something when she comes down. A few minutes later, Maddie came down the steps, "Everyone let me introduce the bell of the ball, Miss Lyndy Marion Borden." With Annie and Addie behind her Lyndy made her way down the steps. Amy had tears in her eyes and Ty's mouth was wide open. She smiled as Amy spoke, "Oh honey you look amazing, you are so beautiful." She leaned into Ty to hold back her tears. Ty finally was able to speak, "Lyndy, I have no doubt that you will be the most beautiful young woman there." Wyatt was still dumbfounded unable to speak. Finally he caught his breath, "Lyndy, you look unbelievable, I am the luckiest man in the world. You are beautiful and I love that dress." Ty raised his brow and Amy smacked his arm, "Remember our talk." He remained silent and they got ready to leave. Amy and Ty were taking them to Maggie's after they picked up Maya and her date. Since Ty and Amy were going to be there they would also bring them home. Lyndy wasn't overly happy but she was 14 and understood. She knew that they would give the young couple a wide berth to enjoy their time together.
After the meal, the kids walked over to school which was only a few blocks away. They were all dressed up and there was a lot of giggling and laughing. Wyatt couldn't keep his eyes off of Lyndy, he actually hadn't been able to since she walked down the steps. She looked over to him, "Wyatt, stop staring, everyone is noticing." He leaned into her as they held hands, "I can't help it, you are beautiful and I love you." The others razzed them a bit but soon they were at the dance. The gym was set up beautifully with streamers and glittering lights. There was a photo booth set up as well as several tables with drinks and light snacks. As Lyndy looked around she saw her parents talking with several of the other adults. Amy looked over and smiled at her. Lyndy marveled at the fact that she looked beautiful and leaned into Wyatt proudly, "Look at my mom she is the most beautiful person here." He smiled, "I agree but you are too." She continued, "And my dad looks kind of good too." Maya heard her and said, "No Lyndy your dad is hot and your mom is stunning. You are so lucky, my parents aren't even together and could care less where I am tonight." Lyndy hugged her upset friend realizing how lucky she was to have such amazing parents.
The dance was fun with a lot of group and couples dancing along with a lot of hanging out. When they got their picture they made sure they ordered extra copies to make sure they had one for Grandma June. Also during the dance, even though their friends gave them some trouble, they went to their parents and asked for a dance. Lyndy held her father as they danced, "Daddy, I love you and mom so much. I am so lucky to have you both." A tear fell from her eye as she hugged him tighter. He smiled, "No Lyndy we are the lucky ones." Wyatt was dancing with Amy as they chatted, "Mrs. Borden thank you for everything you and Mr. Borden do for me and thank you for Lyndy. She is amazing and so much like you.." Amy smiled, "Well thank you Wyatt, we think a lot of you. If there is anything you ever need please don't hesitate to let us know." He blushed, "And you look really nice tonight, some of my weird friends think you are hot. I think you are most definitely a close second to the best-looking woman here tonight." He chuckled as they continued their dance. When they finished, Amy hugged him and whispered, "I don't mind being second to my amazing daughter, go see her before my husband ask for a second dance." The dance continued and as it wound down Lyndy and Wyatt said goodbye to their friends as Amy and Ty patiently waited. Maya and her date had a ride so the four of them headed to the car and headed home.
When they got home Amy and Ty told them good night as they wanted to spend some time together on the porch. As they walked away Ty looked over, "Not too late." Amy smacked his arm and drug him in the house. Lyndy and Wyatt laughed at her parents. Wyatt laughed, "They are amazing, I love them so much. And I love you so much Lyndy." They quietly looked over the ranch. Lyndy stood and grabbed his hand. "Come with me I want to go to my favorite place on the ranch." The walked out between several of the outbuildings to a little park like setting they had built for staff to relax. They sat on the bench and looked over the valley that held the wild horse herd, a mountain view and a beautiful moon lit night. They just sat their quietly watching over the scene in front of them. He whispered to her, "This is perfect and so are you." She smiled content laying her head on his shoulder starting to doze off. After a little while he looked over at his beautiful girlfriend, who was gone to the world. He moved her a bit and then picked her up bridal style to take her back to the house. He didn't know how he was going to get the door open when all of a sudden, Addie, who was up getting a drink of water, opened it up. He put his finger to his lips and quietly asked her to help him get Lyndy to her room. She smiled and whispered back. "If you can get her there I will get her into her pajamas. Don't need you to have to explain that to dad." He laid her down and surprisingly she hugged him tightly, "Wyatt you are amazing, thank you for being there for my sister." He smiled and went to his room to go to bed. He got to ready and before he laid down he snuck to look in Lyndy's room to see her contently asleep.
The next morning a tired Lyndy and Wyatt came down to breakfast holding hands and smiling. Amy spoke up, "We didn't hear you come in last night." Lyndy blushed, "Well we went to the area between the outbuildings to take in the view and I fell asleep. The next thing I know I was in my bed waking up this morning." Before it got uncomfortable Addie spoke up, "Chill dad, I was getting a drink and saw Wyatt carrying Lyndy up to the house. She was out like a light. He carried her to her room and I, myself helped her get her into her pajamas after, yes I mean after Wyatt left. She never woke up. You think I was going to let Wyatt see her like that. I mean someone has to keep an eye out on things." Lyndy smiled and blushed whispering to Wyatt, "Thank You." Ty looked over to Wyatt with an appreciative smile letting him know without words how thankful he was. Amy squeezed Lyndy's hand and smiled at her as well, "Kind of a special guy." Breakfast was fun as they talked about the dance and how they danced with their mom and dad. Maddie stopped and asked, "You guys danced with mom and dad, that's kind of weird." Before Lyndy could respond Wyatt jumped in. "Maddie of course we did, you always dance with people you care about." The room went silent and he continued, "Who knows if you were there I probably would have danced with you too." She faked gagging but deep down wished she could have. He got the sign, got up, held his hand out and asked her to dance. Lyndy turned on her phone and watched as her wonderful boyfriend danced with her little sister. The family looked on with big smiles on their faces.
