Chapter Seventy-Seven

Time Apart – Time Alone

A/N – Well I got my business fix out of the way, I hope it wasn't too painful for some of you. I continue to believe the business plays a major role in the future of the Borden family showcasing the bond of family, friends and staff. Moving on it is time for some more stuff focused on the Borden family. A trip for Amy and Ty will be good for the two of them but also allow the kids to be apart from them and start to develop their independence. Each of the Borden kids are developing their individual personalities and I plan to continue to focus on them. As always I have an idea of what I am going to write, but as is the case, I will see where it takes me. Although I have a general idea of my direction, ideas come to me and I expand on them on the fly. As always I appreciate your reviews, especially from a small group of consistent followers. The follow up meetings with the team at the Equine Center and the other companies went really well. All the feedback was positive especially, the Employee Ownership program, Bones structure and the Day Care Center, which produced the most buzz. After all the feedback the Board thought they would have to max at 30 with the expectation they would reach that amount of kids. Amy and Ty took the time to go over things with the kids and Wyatt in a little more detail. They sat them down after Sunday dinner and Wyatt took JT outside to see the horses. Amy spoke first. "Girls we wanted to talk to you about everything going on. You are going to see some changes but they are all really positive. For us, the Day Care is the biggest thing and I expect you guys to help out when you can." Maddie laughed, "You are kidding me right, the chance to play with kids is awesome. Can I bring Gwen and Sylvia with me sometimes." Ty smiled, "Of course but you all have to remember, this is a business and you need to follow the rules of the center and follow the directions of the workers there." They all smiled in agreement. Addie jabbed Lyndy in the ribs, "Maybe you and Wyatt can get some practice." Her eyes grew in embarrassment and Amy gave her the look. She apologized and said she was sorry. Amy spoke again, "And you know dad and I are heading to Montreal later this week and you will be here. Katie, Clay, Jenn and Georgie will be here taking care of things. You all need to mind yourselves and be good for them. We will be leaving on Thursday after you leave for school and won't be coming back until dinner time on Sunday. We are really relying on you guys to keep an eye on your little brother as well. Jenn will have him a lot but you need to be involved to. Lyndy, no wild parties." Everyone laughed as Lyndy smiled at all of them secretly making a note to talk to her mom and dad about having a few kids over for a ride one day.

The few days before the trip found Amy and Ty extremely busy getting everything set up for them being gone. Lyndy was successful in having them agree to have her friends over for a ride and lunch at the ranch. Amy laughed joking with Ty, "I think it is more difficult to coordinate the kid's stuff. Man they do a lot. The easiest one is JT. Between hanging with Jenn and her kids and fishing with dad and grandpa he is handled. Ty, what do you think about Lyndy and Wyatt being here without us." He smiled and joked back, "I think they will be find, unless Lyndy is like her mom. As I recall, you couldn't keep your hands off of me." She smacked his arm, "Whatever, I think it was the other way around buster." They hugged and moved into a passionate kiss until they were interrupted by Georgie, "Geez you guys can't you wait until your trip, you two are ridiculous." Amy smiled kissing her man, "Jealous much." Georgie huffed and talked about a couple of the new horses coming while Amy would be gone. When she walked out they embraced as Ty whispered, "I can't wait for the weekend, three nights alone with you." She melted into him and cooed, "I think we should practice tonight." She jumped up around his waist and kissed him again. They finished up and went to wait for the kids. They wanted to spend a lot of time with them since they were leaving in the morning. Dinner was great as the kids talked about their day and Amy talked about their trip. Lyndy spoke up, "Mom are you excited about spending some time with Mrs. Trudeau and I guess dad too." Amy smiled, "Yes I am. Mrs. Trudeau and I have several things planned while dad is at his meetings. We are having dinner with the family on Friday, so maybe we can all Skype each other." Annie smiled sheepishly, "Just you and dad don't be so gross, I know you love each other but try to control yourself. We have enough kids here." Everyone broke out in laughter but Ty looked a little solemn.

That night in bed Amy knew something was on his mind. "Ok spill it, what are you thinking about." He smiled, "You know me too well. What Annie said about another kid kind of shook me a little. I would have never believed that I would feel the way I do about our kids. Next to you they are everything to me. I love them all so much. And I don't think I have loved you more than I do right now." Amy I hope you feel the same as me. We decided to stop with 5 kids and I am good with that. Are you?" Amy smiled, "Ty of course I am. Our kids are amazing but I want to make sure that they each have a chance to become individuals and achieve everything that they can. I think 5 is a perfect number." She smiled, "So are you Ok because I was thinking about doing this." She reached over and began nibbling on his neck, opening the buttons on his shirt one by one. He breathed heavily, "So I guess you want me to do this," as she reached under her top to move it over her head. In a matter of minutes their bodies were tangled together as they each pleasured the other. Their moans increased as they touched the areas that increased their arousal. Time after time Amy moaned in delight and she made sure Ty did as well. When their fun was over she rolled on top of him as they joined as one, moving up and down. Amy was writhing in ecstasy as she moved with his thrust. Ty sped up his motion and Amy reacted. As they both climaxed they moaned and collapsed out of breath. Amy laid on top of him catching her breath and kissing his chest and neck. "Well, we sure are still pretty good at that part." Ty smiled and pulled her up for a deep and passionate kiss. She pulled back after several minutes. "Well I think this is a good warmup for our weekend together." He laughed, "I think we made need a little more," as he rolled over and began kissing her all over. She giggled, "I agree Dr. Borden."

Breakfast the next morning went well as Ty and Amy spent a little extra time with the kids making sure the weekend was all planned out. After they saw the kids off on the bus they went to the office to gather up everything they needed and follow up with the folks they needed to. They loaded up the small SUV as the larger one was staying in case it was needed. They felt like they were kids again going to the fishing cabin as they held hands and talked about the weekend ahead. On the ride, Amy called Maryanne to remind of their arrival time and gate. She was going to meet them with a car and driver to take them to their hotel, which was where the meeting was being held. They were giggling like to schoolkids chatting about what they were going to be doing. When she hung up Ty looked over, "Looks like I have some competition for your time, will we see each other at all?" She smiled with a look of lust in her eyes. "Dr. Borden, you are going to see a lot of me this weekend." The flight went well as Amy slept most of the way. When they landed Amy noticed a black SUV with an excited women waving. As they deplaned they felt like royalty as two of security team met them and took them to the car. Before Ty could ask, the one guards said, "Don't worry Dr. Borden we will get you bags." Ty smiled as he had packed a special gift for Amy. As he looked over he heard a scream as the two women embraced. And to their amazement, Justin stepped out of the SUV as well getting the attention of everyone else's deplaning. The covert action kept the press away as the security team moved them into the SUV to head to the Hotel. When the jumped in Ty joked with Justin, "We feel like some foreign dignitaries." He laughed, "No we don't treat them as well as you guys, you are our friends." They were all looking forward to the weekend.

The Trudeaus left Amy and Ty to settle in at the hotel. It was midafternoon and there was going to be a formal reception at the hotel this evening. The 2 ½ day conference was all about the youth of Canada. Programs would be discussed as well as education and skills training opportunities. The intent was to bring together leaders in the field of child development from early ages on through High School. Ty and few others were there to talk about their programs that were intended to give young people real life experiences and hopefully help them decide their path in life. Ty was really looking forward to it and Amy had also decided to spend some time at some of the different breakout meetings with him. The dinner that night was hosted by the National Youth Development Association, a nonprofit organization accredited by the government. It was developed by a group of youth leaders and business professionals from cross disciplinary areas. The key speaker was the Secretary of Education and the PM and his wife were guest as well. As Ty and Amy came down they found their seats and were overwhelmed with how nice the setting was. The hotel was beautiful and their room was perfect. They had already enjoyed a jacuzzi bath together and still made it on time. The sat at their table, introducing themselves to the younger kids and Ty mentioned the program that he will be representing.

One of their table mates spoke up, "I have heard of your program. I have a friend whose younger brother went through it and he is in his second year of college. She said without it he would have never made it there." Ty smiled and thanked her for the nice comment. Then a startled young man said, "Wait you are the Miracle Girl aren't you Mrs. Borden." Amy blushed and answered, "Well first please call me Amy and yes a long time ago I was called that." Ty put his hand on her leg, "Don't let her fool you, she is still the Miracle girl. We run a successful business back home and Amy has helped hundreds, actually thousands of horses. And if you can believe it we have 5 children." Another young lady spoke up blushing, "No way, you guys are not old enough for that, and pardon me for saying Amy you are beautiful and your husband ain't too bad looking too." Amy proudly passed her phone around with a picture for the family. Someone asked why there were 6 kids on the picture? Ty smiled, well his name is Wyatt and we have guardianship over him,. His parents were killed years ago by a drunk driver and his grandma is in assisted living." Amy added, "And he is our oldest daughter's boyfriend and lives with us." The same women asked, "Really and you are Ok with that." Amy smiled, "Well actually it was our idea, he is a part of our family and we love him dearly. He is an amazing young man and treats our daughter like a princess." The group sat in awe of this amazing couple.

As they were finished eating they had visitors. Justin and Maryanne came by to say high as the rest of the table sat with their mouths open in disbelief. Ty introduced all of the people at the table who were overwhelmed that they were meeting them. As they parted, Maryanne reminded Amy of the time she would be picking her up and also about dinner with the family on Friday and how excited the kids were. As they walked away one of them said, "Oh my god, you know them and are going to their home for dinner." Ty smiled, "Well it is a long story that includes our youngest daughter being the PMs BFF." The all sat there and listened to the story amazed at the couple they were sitting with. After a brief program and a little dancing, Amy and Ty said goodbye to their new friends and headed up to the room. As they got in the room they headed to the bedroom to change for bed. The quietly sat in the bathroom getting ready. Ty was already in her favorite pajama pants and Amy sat at the dressing table brushing her hair. He stared at her and she looked in the mirror smiling at him. Finally she said, "You like to watch me brush my hair don't you." He blushed, "Amy I just like watching you but when you do your hair it makes me realize how beautiful you are. Sometimes when I glance over at you when we are together or even if we are not my breath is taken away." A small tear came to her eye as she turned red. "You always say such beautiful things to me and trust me I glance at you more than you know. My heart flutters as well." Without any more words she cuddled up to him in bed. Their night was filled with slow and passionate love making as they were alone with no kids to be concerned about. When they were finished, a breathless Amy said, "This is going to be a great weekend."

Friday morning went well at the Miracle Ranch. Clay and Katie got the kids breakfast and to the bus. In the afternoon, Jenn would be picking up JT and bringing him home to spend the night. Maddie, Lyndy and Wyatt were heading to Heartland and were planning to help Jack with some work around the barn and with some fences. Maddie was going to stay with Georgie and Steven and help with the Twins while they got the nursery set up. Georgie laughed, "Thank goodness this place was enlarged and three bedrooms were added. Just think Steven, we have one bedroom still empty." Maddie laughed as Steven turned a little green. The twins were spending the night with Tim and Casey and were going to be helping them moving some cattle the next day. Lou and Scott planned a BBQ for everyone on Saturday after all the work was done. All the girls were eating dinner at Heartland and had a call planned with their parents and the Trudeaus just before dinner. With the time difference the folks in the east would be finished with their dinner so the timing was right. Friday for Amy and Ty was packed full. For the conference Ty had several breakouts in the morning that he hosted and talked about the Marion Fleming Youth Development Program. He asked Amy to be there so the two of them talked about the reason for the program, the results and what the future looked like. Each session was filled completely and the audience was actively engaged asking a lot of questions. It seemed information about the program had circulated among the attendees. In the afternoon Ty was going to attend some meetings and other breakouts that he was interested in. Amy was meeting Maryanne after lunch to attend several events that she was invited to. It was a new experience for Amy and she loved it. Watching her friend interact with the people there was pretty inspiring. And the bonus was they had a lot of time catch up and talk about their kids, their work and a little about their husbands.

It was a busy day for each of them and when they went back to their room to get ready for dinner with the Trudeaus, they plopped down on the bed. Ty looked at her and smiled, "I am whipped but it sure was a fun day. Our breakouts were great and I think us both being there was the best way to go. You Miracle Girl were a hit. I did see some of the young men gawking a little at your beauty but who can blame then." She laughed, "Oh was that when you would grab my hand or hug my waist. Keeping an eye on the staring boys were you." He leaned over and kissed her making sure she knew how much he loved her. "Well we will have to take care of this issue later." The got cleaned up and changed into more casual clothes for the evening. Dinner was fun as the kids asked a lot of questions about the Borden children. As planned after they finished, they zoomed the family so everyone could see each other. Overall it was a bit chaotic but everyone got the say hello. The kids convinced their parents to let them go to their rooms to continue with separate calls so the adults headed to the study to relax and chat. Justin spoke up, "Well I hear from my team the day went well. They said your breakout was filled to the brim and that you all did a great job." Ty smiled, "Yea we really enjoyed it and got a lot of great questions. Having this lady there was a bonus and trust me there were several Miracle Girl questions." Amy jabbed his ribs and laughed. "There weren't that many. And Maryanne I really enjoyed hanging with you. The trip to the Children's Home was eye opening. The kids were so wonderful and I really had fun with them." Maryanne laughed as well, "Well Amy you are a natural. Ty you would have been proud of your wife. She jumped right in and the kids loved it." The enjoyed the rest of their time and went over the schedule for the next day. Maryanne reminded them that they would see them at the farewell brunch on Sunday morning before they left for home. They checked on the kids and hung out a little later that normal. When Ty and Amy got back the hotel they were very tired. Amy smiled as they got into bed and snuggled into her husband. In a matter of minutes she was fast asleep. Ty smiled and held her tightly happy to have such and amazing partner.

For the kids Saturday was full of chores and a lot of fun stuff to do. Clay and Katie were getting a feel for how busy kids can be and the amount of shuttling they had to do. Lyndy and Wyatt were spending the day with friends going on a trail ride then to Maggie's for lunch. In the afternoon they all went to a movie. The Twins were also spending time with all their friends on a trail ride and were spending the rest of the day at the mall. It seemed that was what they did at that age. Annie and Addie were excited as Desi and Jeremy were going too. Maddie, Gwen and Sylvia were going to be with Gwen's parents all day. They were going to the Fun Center in Calgary for the entire day. Maddie was really looking forward to it as a bunch of the other kids from her class were going to be there too. JT was with Jenn, Ben and the kids overnight and they were all going fishing all day with Jack and Tim. The entire group would come back to Heartland for dinner. After a call with their parents who gave very clear directions to them regarding the boundaries of their activities they got on their way. During the call Maddie complained, "Geez you guys we aren't kids we know how to behave. Chill out." After a little hesitation Ty spoke, "Well guys we are your parents and care about you. We just want you to be safe and have fun. We trust you all but like we said you mind the adults you are with and especially Katie and Clay. They have been very nice being there for you all weekend." They all smiled, said the loved them as Katie and Clay took the phone off speaker and walked outside. "Guys they have really been good and we are really having fun with them. They are really great kids." Amy spoke up, "Thanks guys and I know you may complain but we are going to get you something for doing this. We really appreciate it." Katie giggled, "Whatever, you just like being alone and a hotel room thousands of miles away." Amy was silent for a second as Ty tickled her, "Yea it has been nice." Katie laughed and said goodbye. Ty hugged his wife and whispered, "Feeling kind of guilty. We just had an awesome shower and are standing here in just our bathrobes." He slid hers off and kissed her deeply. "Ty we need to go, our first breakout is in 20 minutes." He whined, "You're no fun. Just don't fall asleep on me again tonight." She cooed in his ear, "You better be ready for tonight Dr. Borden." The got dressed and headed down to the conference for the day.

Amy and Ty's day went even better than yesterday. The word was out on their session and they added one more. Each of them was totally filled and the onslaught of questions continued. In the afternoon Ty attended several vet related sessions that he really enjoyed and Amy got to spend more casual time with her friend. They got to go on a house tour that she hosted of the historical homes. The event was organized to raise money for the Historical Society. Again Amy was awestruck with Maryanne's ability to interact with people and represent the government with such grace. She also really loved seeing the homes as they were all unbelievably beautiful. When they finished they met in the room and had dinner alone in the hotel restaurant. They were enjoying each other when Ty pulled a small box from his jacket pocket. She looked at him surprised as he handed it to her. "Amy I know I say this all the time but I love you and always will. We have really been busy but I wanted to make sure you know that." She kissed him and opened the box. Inside she found a beautiful necklace with a gold heart on it. On the back inscribed was simply Amy and Ty. She looked at it for a moment as tears filled her eyes. Its simplicity was what made it so beautiful. After a concerned look from Ty she gathered herself and whispered, "Ty, this is beautiful. You spoil me Dr. Borden but I love you so much. You are my everything and every day we are together I feel even happier." She blushed, "And I can't wait to get you back to the room. I think the only thing I may be wearing later will be this necklace." Ty quickly called the waiter and paid the bill as Amy laughed at him. "Oh in a hurry now, are you."

The ride up the elevator was rough for both of them as Amy was all over Ty. They stumbled to their door and somehow Ty got the door opened and closed quickly. Amy was on a mission as she began to undress him aggressively. She had his shirt off after just a few steps and pushed him back onto the couch removing his shoes, socks, pants and boxers. Ty could barely react as Amy put her arms on his shoulders and seductively whispered, "Ty just sit back and enjoy the show." She slowly removed her clothes one piece at a time but not the necklace as she promised. She could tell Ty was enjoying the view as what made him a man was in definitely affected. When she was done she knelt down, kissing him and moving her hands to pleasure him. Ty was powerless and she brought him to complete satisfaction in every way she could. Ty could barely catch his breath as she climbed up on him and gave him a deep and passionate kiss. He gathered himself and pick her up bridal style carrying her to the bed and kissing her nonstop. She giggled as he laid her down and began returning the favor. He began at her lips and moved to her soft breast. He kissed her as she arched her back, moaning his name. He gave each of her breast equal attention and made sure she was pleased with his work. He then moved down to her amazing stomach and below. He again used his mouth and fingers to bring her to an amazing climax and she screamed in joy and love. Again she arched her back and met his moves reaching her peak several times. They took a few minutes to refocus and she climbed onto her lover. She joined with him as their rhythmic movements were in complete sync. As he thrust she joined in as their movements increased as the lovemaking continued. After time they both could feel that they were ready to explode. As they did the both moaned in ecstasy and filled each other with their love. They continued on for several minutes until they succumbed and collapsed on each other. It took several minutes to calm down. Both of them were panting heavily and their skin glistened with love. Amy rolled to his side and kissed his chest. "Thank you for the necklace it is so beautiful and it is just for us. You, Dr. Borden are such a stud and definitely a keeper. I love you more than ever and love every day we are together." She began to tear up snuggling into his neck, "Ty you mean everything to me and I can't wait for the rest of our life together." Ty was a little worried about her emotional comment and responded purposely. "Amy, that necklace represents us and our lifetime of love we have ahead of us. You and I are one heart, just like we promised to each other at our wedding." At that comment Amy burst out in tears of joy lunging at him again. Their night was not over.

The rest of the conference went well but Amy was a little bummed because she had to leave her friend. At the farewell brunch they got a chance to say in person goodbye to each other. They made some great contacts at the conference and were looking forward to some follow ups when they got back. But they were really excited to get home and see the kids. The flight went well and the arrived to a happy greeting on the front porch from their kids, Katie and Clay. Amy and Ty thanked them for their help and they went home. Dinner was already there, thanks to Maggie's and the family sat down to enjoy it. The kids were excited to tell them about this weekend. It seemed they were so busy they barely missed them. Amy listened to all the stories but Lyndy noticed she seemed distracted. She leaned into Wyatt, "I think my mom doesn't think we missed her." She spoke up and silenced the group. "Mom and dad we all had a lot of fun but we really missed you guys. It is not the same when you guys aren't here. I mean it is Ok but we love us all being together." The rest of the kids smiled in agreement and JT jumped on his mom's lap. Ty smiled at his oldest daughter realizing what she was doing. He grabbed his wife's leg and she smiled with tears in her eyes. They were the happiest mom and dad in the world and loved their kids with everything they had in their hearts. After dinner finished everyone got ready for bed. Amy and Ty made the rounds and took a little extra time thanking Lyndy. As they got into bed Amy just kept smiling. She whispered to him, "Lyndy is an amazing daughter and I love our kids and Wyatt so much. And Ty you are my one and only true love." They held each other tight and fell into a happy and blissful sleep.
