The weeks after parent/teacher meetings went well as Spring break was fast approaching. Amy and Ty watched the nightly homework sessions and the amount of extra time the three other girls and Wyatt were spending with Maddie. Testing showed that Maddie's condition was not to severe but still needed attention. As they watched both of them felt so happy about their kids and how they supported each other. Amy smiled as they sat on the couch having some coffee after dinner. "Listen to them Ty, it feels so good to know they help each other. Have you noticed how much time Annie is spending with her. She seems to be all in and has really been genuinely involved." Ty smiled, "I have seen that too, she is really committed and I think Maddie appreciates it." They snuggled and Amy stole a kiss from Ty. They continued and began getting a little more carried away. They heard a huff from the table as Maddie spoke sternly, " Can you guys get a room, we are doing our homework. Kind of distracting when our parents are in a full make out session 10 feet away." The rest of the girls giggled as their mom and dad blushed a little. JT, who was sitting on Wyatt's lap drawing, looked at all of them with disgust. "Leave mom and dad alone, they love each other." Wyatt chimed in high fiving Wyatt. "I agree buddy, you guys need to chill out." All four of the girls started to lay into the boys but they stood their ground. Finally Amy and Ty got up to stifle the discussion. Amy spoke to them in her motherly tone, "Maybe dad and I should control our feelings when you are studying. We love each of you and we love each other. We never want to make you feel uncomfortable so it's Ok to speak up." All at once the girls felt bad and look at them apologetically. Ty put up his hand, "Guys its Ok, we know you love us but I agree with mom. We will try to control ourselves." They all smiled and went back to studying.
After the good night rounds and a lot of apologies, Amy and Ty headed to their room. Ty was at his desk looking over some notes for a couple of surgeries he had with Steven tomorrow. He was really preoccupied until he felt a set of arms reach around his neck and the softest lips in the world nibbling on his neck. Amy whispered, "Seem really busy. I thought maybe we could continue our interrupted make out session earlier?" Ty closed his laptop, stood up and looked at his wife whispering, "You have my favorite pajamas on." She snuggled into his chest, "Yep and they come off pretty easy too." He picked her up as they move to the bed. As they began to lay down Ty easily removed her PJs as well as his. She smiled, "Now that is more like it Dr. Borden." Ty became the aggressor and began to please her the way he know she loved. He kissed her everywhere she needed him to and let him know by her deep moans. He was fully engaged in pleasing her and her response drove him to the next level. He moved down to the place where he could bring her to climax and she reached it several times. As they regrouped it was Amy's turn so she took control with all the love she could give the man of her life. Amy drove him to a peak of ecstasy that only she could give to him as he moaned and called her name out. They settled and held each other tightly calming down from their love making. She looked at him with her beautiful blue eyes, "What wrong Dr. Borden are you tired?" He looked at her and pulled her on top of him. She adjusted herself as he entered her body with aggressive passion. They moved as one loving each other with care and compassion. They both knew what the other needed and never shortchanged each other. They continued to move as they each were close to their climax. They knew it was time as they both reached their climatic orgasm as one exploding in their love. They moaned and shuttered as their release fueled them to a place only meant for them. After several minutes they finally relaxed and held onto each other tight trying to catch their breath. Finally Ty smiled, "This is much better than making out." She smiled back into his neck, "And the best part we don't have to stop."
After the kids left for school, Amy and Ty went over to the office to get their busy day started. Amy looked at Ty and asked him if he had looked at anything for the trip they were going to surprise the kids with over Spring Break. "Well come on over and I will show you," She smiled went to sit on his lap and kissed his cheek. "So what about Vancouver? We can drive there and I have found several hotels that are on the beach. It is definitely warmer than here so maybe we can do that. Also there is an cool Aquarium, Stanley Park, Science World and we can go to Granville Island on an Aquabus. I think we can leave on Sunday and come back on Saturday. That would still give the kids a week of fun and us a week away from work. As busy as we are that would work the best." She sat there for a moment and smiled, "Ty this is awesome and I think the kids will love it. Let's tell them tonight. I can't wait." She kissed him and went back to her desk. Ty booked the resort and got a four-bedroom suite with a kitchenette, a sofa sleeper for Wyatt and plenty of room for the kids. They decided to splurge a little and use the bonus money they had just received from last year. That would cover it with money left over. They were really excited to tell the kids. Their day were packed full as Amy had three new clients and not only did Ty and Steve have to vet them but they also had the two surgeries scheduled. The kissed goodbye as they headed on their way. They barely saw each other the rest of the day but as they always did, they met the kids when they got home. The kids did their chores and helped get ready for dinner. Dinner was the usual review of everyone's day and the banter that went with it. Wyatt was quiet and finally, after Lyndy looked at him with concern. "Hey what's up, you seem kind of quiet." He smiled thanking her for her concern and spoke up to the group. "Well I have some news. The first week of break I am going on a trip with my Grandma to Colorado. She really wants me to go so my Aunt is coming up and flying back with us. Lyndy I am sorry but I just found this out." Lyndy smiled, "Wyatt you have to go with her and you will have a lot of fun."
Amy immediately looked at Ty with concern. The hotel was booked and was not available that week after so the week that Wyatt was gone was the only one they could do. They silently decided to wait and talk to them before they broke the news to the rest of the kids. When they went to see Lyndy and Wyatt as usual they were in a deep conversation. Amy could tell Lyndy was a little upset so she spoke up, "Hey guys sorry to interrupt but we have something to tell you. We were going to surprise you all tonight about a family trip we have planned the first week of Spring Break. And unfortunately honey the second week is not available." Ty added, "Guys we are so sorry, if we would have known about Wyatt's trip we could have found something else the next week." Lyndy and Wyatt looked at each other and Wyatt cleared the air. "You guys it's no big deal. Lyndy and I talked and we are both Ok. We were going to be apart anyway and although I would love to travel with the family, I am really looking forward to going to Colorado with my Grandma." He looked down a bit and continued, "This may be the last time she can go and I want to be there for her." Amy pulled him into a hug letting him know that she understood completely. Ty looked at Lyndy, "Honey we are sorry, are you Ok." She smiled at her parents. "We were going to be apart anyway so it's no big deal. I guess I can stand a little time away from this goof." Wyatt nudged her and said good night. After another action-packed day, the family gathered for dinner. After they finished and before they cleaned up Amy and Ty asked them to wait. Ty started, "Well we have a surprise for you. The first week of Spring Break we are going on a vacation to Vancouver." Amy continued, "We are going to stay in a cool resort and we have a lot of fun things planned. It's going to be a great trip." The girls were excited but then Maddie looked concerned and had to ask, "What about Wyatt, he can't go that week." Wyatt spoke up, "We know because your mom and dad told us last night. And it's Ok, your trip is planned and I really want to go with my grandma. I know it might be rough but try to have fun without me." Addie noticed Lyndy's forlorn look. "Don't worry Wyatt we will take care of your woman and make sure she will have fun without you." Everyone laughed and couldn't wait for the trip.
While school was winding down for the kids, Amy and Ty spent the next week and a half preparing for their trip. Ty had it a little easier with his work because they were going to use his time away to have the two candidates for the new vet position step in and help with the day to day. The group of company Vets really liked both of them and they pulled Amy and Georgie in to help with the decision-making process. Amy's time away would be a little more of a challenge. With Lyndy and Wyatt gone as well, they were short on trainers so they moved some new clients and added a little more to Katie and even Georgie. Katie was on break from school as well so she could add more to her workload. The three of them moved the more challenging horses to the week Amy returned and felt they had things covered. A few days before the trip the family met after dinner to go over what they all had to bring. Lyndy and Wyatt were in her room making lists for each of them. Amy and Ty came in to say good night and noticed a rather solemn conversation going on. Expecting it was because of them being apart Ty spoke up, "You know guys, mom was not happy when I moved out of the loft and into Caleb's trailer. I told her that we could become stronger apart and it was a good thing for me to have my own place. Not the same thing but I think you will be good with some time away from each other." Amy laughed, "And I am sure you will text, talk and skype a million times." They laughed but Wyatt still spoke, "I am worried about my grandma taking this trip. I understand why she wants to but she has been struggling more and more lately. I just hope this is the right decision. I feel like she knows it will be the last time she could do it." He leaned his head into Lyndy's shoulder as he fought off tears. Amy and Ty were quiet, hugged them both and said good night.
It was the morning they were leaving and the house was pure chaos. As usual Ty had a timetable and was making sure everyone stayed with it. Wyatt had left the night before as Amy and Lyndy took him and his grandma to the airport to meet Wyatt's Aunt. They got off Ok after an emotional sendoff. June leaned over to Amy as they watched the two of them hug tightly. "Those two really care for each other, dare I say love each other so much. Amy I can't tell you how much it means to me that you have been there for Wyatt. You, Ty and the kids have really saved him from a horrible situation. I don't think I will ever be able to thank you enough." Amy smiled, "June he is an amazing young man and as you can see Lyndy adores him. And JT, well they are best buds, it's kind of cute to see their bond." They smiled as Lyndy and Wyatt finally let each other go. Lyndy kissed June's cheek as they headed to security. Back home and on time the Borden's were on their way. Ty was smart and made sure he had Wi-Fi setup in the big SUV so electronics were actively being enjoyed. The drive was a little more than ten hours so several planned stops were in the mix. The family played games and sang songs. Lyndy and Amy sang some of Grandma Lyndy's songs as well. Right after the lunch stop, luckily the kids and Amy took a nap. Lyndy kept her dad company and sat in front. They had a great conversation and Ty marveled at how much she was like her mom. After every one woke up they stopped midafternoon to stretch their legs and get ready for the final leg. They were on schedule to arrive at the resort just around dinner time. They would check in, eat dinner and walk around. Amy and Ty were so amazed at how well the drive went. As soon as the city came into view the kids excitement level peaked. When they saw the ocean and pulled into the resort the kids could barely contain themselves. Amy and Ty reeled them in and promised a walk along the beach after the checked in. Ty surprised them and said there was a restaurant they had a reservation for right on the water. The weather was unseasonably warm which made them even more excited.
The kids excitement made check in quick and efficient. Amy whispered giggling into Ty's ear, "I wish they were this energetic with chores all the time." He smiled and kissed her as a chorus of "Come on let's go" came from the kids. The family happily walked out the lobby door gathering the attention of everyone around them. Seeing two parents with five excited kids brought smiles to many of the onlookers. After rules were set they headed to the beach and walked to the restaurant. The kids were wide eyed as they went to their table that was right in the window overlooking the water. This was a new experience for all of them and they soaked it all in. When the waitress came over she smiled, "Well look at this group, I think we are going to have fun." The kids smiled and really liked her. They ordered drinks and looked over the menu. Ty and Amy let the kids order their own stuff, even JT. The waitress was impressed not only with them ordering but how well behaved the kids were. Dinner was great as they talked about everything they were doing during the week. Amy and Ty were so happy about the decision to take the trip and held hands all during dinner. The waitress was providing great service and Amy mentioned to Ty to give her a good tip. Many couples who were around them stopped and told Amy and Ty how wonderful their kids were behaving and what a beautiful family they were. JT spoke up as an older couple stopped by and said, "My mommy and daddy told my sisters to behave." They all giggled and the couple laughed. Several times, Amy caught Lyndy sneaking a text to Wyatt but just smiled at her knowing being apart was hard for them. They finished and took a long walk back to the hotel. The kids were beat and fell asleep quickly. Before JT fell asleep he said to everyone, "Let the fun begin!"
Amazingly the next morning the kids seemed rested which amazed Ty and Amy. After breakfast, they prepared to head out for the day. They made sure they packed plenty of snacks and waters since today they weather was cloudy and the decided to go to Science World. They were excited as it seemed to have something for all of them. They arrived right when it opened and spent the day. Lyndy, Addie and especially Annie loved all of the exhibits that displayed all sorts of interesting and unique scientific facts. JT screamed when he saw the giant T-Rex and Maddie could barely hold him back. There were tons of interactive activities. Ty and Amy smiled as they saw how Annie worked with Maddie on many of them. She had really stepped in helping her with her handwriting and their bond was growing strong. JT sat with his dad working on a dinosaur puzzle and when he finished he shouted in glee to his mom, "Come look mommy, see what me and daddy did!" As the end of the day came the kids were buzzing, it had been a great day and they really had a lot of fun. On the ride back to the resort the car was quiet. Amy looked at Ty, "I think we tried them out. How about a pizza night and a movie." He smiled, "Sounds perfect." Lyndy looked up and gave them a thumbs up and smiled as she had just texted Wyatt. After a relaxing evening they settled into sleep. Amy and Ty were in bed holding each other talking quietly. They heard a soft knock and said come in. Lyndy walked in with a sullen look. Amy immediately went to her, "Honey what's wrong?" She began to sob and somehow got out, "Wyatt just old me that the plane trip was not good with his grandma. During the flight she began feeling bad and after a while at home they took her to the ER. Mom, she is in the hospital. They don't know when or even if she can travel back. Wyatt is devastated and really concerned." Ty whispered to his baby as she laid in bed with them, "Oh honey, we are so sorry, what can we do." She just laid into them and cried. For now all she needed was to have them hold her.
After Amy went back to her room with her Ty's phone rang – it was Wyatt. "Hey Wyatt, Lyndy just told us, how is Grandma June and most importantly how are you?" He hesitated as Ty could tell he had been crying. "I am Ok. She is so weak and they are really worried because of her age. She has put on a good face for me but I can tell she is not feeling well. Mr. Borden, Lyndy told me she wants to come to be with me. I would love nothing better than to have her here but I told her she needs to stay with you guys and have a fun vacation. Can you help me convince her." Ty smiled and was amazed at how mature he was. "Wyatt, we will do that for you but what if we send her your way on Friday. Could you and someone pick her up at the airport?" He hesitated, "Mr. Borden, you don't have to do that." Ty stopped him immediately, "Wyatt that is what family does. Let me talk to Amy and we will tell Lyndy. I bet you will find out pretty soon after that." They said goodbye as Amy walked in. "Who was that on the phone." Ty smiled, "It was Wyatt tell me not to let Lyndy talk us into her coming to be with him. Amy he is really upset and I think we should send her. Maybe you two can fly their early Saturday, you can meet with them at the airport and then fly to Calgary. I am sure we can get someone to get you at the airport." She smiled and hugged him tightly, "Ty Borden, you are amazing. Let's do it." They looked online and found a reasonable flight that left early Saturday morning for the two of them. Then Amy would catch a flight home and once they knew Wyatt's plans to come home they would get her on that flight as well. Ty and the rest of the kids would take them to the airport and then head home.
Rather than wait until the morning they went to Lyndy's room as Amy was pretty sure she would be up. Lyndy smiled when they walked in and before she could speak, Amy smiled and spoke up. "Honey, Wyatt called dad and told us not to let you talk us in to going to Denver. Well we brought our passports in case we would head over the border so we booked a flight for you two go to Denver. I am going to fly with you and then head back home after Wyatt and his aunt pick you up. Dad and the rest of the troop will head back after they take us to the airport. We will figure out when you will come back home later. Lyndy sat in shock for a minute as she grasped what her mom had said. Even though she was in her own room she still contained herself as she jumped up to hug them both. Tears filled her eyes and she whispered, "Thanks you so much, you are the best and I love you." The next morning they filled in the rest of the kids on Grandma June and Lyndy' trip. She smiled and told her parents that she talked to Wyatt last night. Maddie, Annie and Addie were very concerned about the both of them and agreed that Lyndy going was the right idea. JT kind of understood but was worried about them going in an airplane. Maddie assured him it would be Ok and he calmed down. The weather was going to be nicer but today would even be better tomorrow so Wednesday would be beach day. Today they were going to Stanley Park a popular place in the city limits of Vancouver. They spent the day on trails and even rented bikes for a ride. There was a lot of activities and even a pool so they brought their swim wear. They had lunch at a cool café on the water and after that rode the Island Train that JT loved. Ty liked it too so the two of them sat together. The girls laughed at them as they joked as they ride took them all over the island. It was a great day with a lot of different activities that all of them enjoyed. They stopped for a light dinner on the way home as they were really tired. The plan for tomorrow was the beach as the weather looked sunny and warm.
The day at the beach was definitely not a normal thing for the family from the foothills of Alberta but they loved it. They swam, built sandcastles and sunbathed. Although they were outdoors a lot at home, Amy was obsessed with sunscreen especially Maddie and JT who were a lighter skinned. Amy was in a chair sunbathing surrounded by her 4 daughters while Ty and JT played with a boogie board. Ty glanced over at the 5 most important women in his life and smiled as a tear came to his eye. JT asked, "Daddy what's wrong are you sad?" He smiled and picked him up as they walked over to the five sunbathing women. "No buddy but look at them, they are all so beautiful. We are pretty lucky buddy." Amy heard him but didn't say anything. JT then smiled and pointed to the buckets. "Let's splash them." The co-conspirators filled them up walked over quietly throwing two full buckets of water on them. After a lot of screaming Ty and JT were on the run. Amy and Lyndy caught Ty right away and tackled him tickling away. Maddie, Annie and Addie caught JT and tickled him as well. Onlookers were all smiling watching the family having so much fun. After things settled, they stayed a while longer and headed back to the resort. After they cleaned up they walked to another restaurant that Ty had made reservations at. After an amazing dinner they went for a beach walk. Maddie smiled, "Mommy can we live here it is awesome." She laughed, "But what about the horses and the ranch and all your friends?" She shrugged her shoulders, "Yea I guess I would miss them." Addie laughed, "Maddie just think, it will be more fun to visit sometimes won't it." They got back to the suite and chilled. Tomorrow, was a trip to the nationally recognized Vancouver Aquarium. The kids and Ty were excited. As Amy and Ty lay in bed, she joked, "I think you are having more fun than the kids this week." He blushed, "Amy when I saw the five of you sunbathing, I felt so lucky and blessed. I don't know how I got to this point in my life, I am so lucky." She smiled and whispered, "I know I heard you and JT talking as you walked." They each moaned as Amy snuggled into him. "Feel like getting lucky tonight?" He kissed her deeply and she rolled over on him. They were in for a very pleasurable night.
After a little more of a sleep in they headed to the Aquarium for the day. Maddie had to razz them at breakfast, "Mom and Dad you need to sleep in here too? The girls laughed and JT got mad as usual. At the aquarium, in the words of JT, "This is Awesome!" He must have said it 100 times. There was so much to do for the kids at the Aquarium, they had trouble deciding what to do next. They stayed until the placed closed and decided again to eat in. Their suite was amazing so hanging there was a lot of fun. After another fun family night they went to bed looking forward to their final day in Vancouver. Lyndy was getting a little nervous about her trip but was excited about being there with Wyatt for support. He needed her and even though he initially didn't wanted her to come she knew he was really looking forward to it. Amy and Ty went to see her as they had noticed she seemed distracted. Amy spoke to her, "Honey I know Wyatt is very happy you are coming. But I talked to his Aunt and Grandma June may not be able to come back with you guys. She is not doing well and the doctors are very concerned. Just be there for him because he is going to need you." She smiled and went to sleep. Friday was going to be a laid-back day. They were taking the Aqua Bus over to Granville Island. On the ride over they saw some small whales which was exciting. The island was full of shops and places to eat. They were planning to head back early afternoon to pack up since they had to leave early to get Amy and Lyndy to the airport. That night they had an early dinner at a really nice restaurant to celebrate the week. They went around the table so everyone could say what their favorite thing was. JT went first and of course he loved the Aquarium. Maddie liked the beach and being together so much with everyone. Annie and Addie loved the beach and the water. Maddie added jokingly, "You just liked looking at all the boys." Everyone laughed. Lyndy liked the whole week being together the entire time. It was Amy and Ty's turn and as Amy talked she got emotional. "Just being with you kids and Dad was the most fun for me. Seeing you have fun is my favorite thing of the week." Ty was unable to say much. "I agree with mom, seeing you all enjoy this week was a dream come true for me. I love every one of you." They headed back to the resort, did a bag check and went to bed early. It was going to be an early morning and a long day.
The next morning went well. They had breakfast together at the airport and said a long farewell before they went through security. Ty gave Lyndy a long hug whispering in her ear. She smiled and tucked her head in his shoulder. His hug for Amy lasted a little longer as the kids said goodbye to their sister. Ty whispered in her ear, "I'm going to miss you but will see you tonight. Take care of our little girl and give Wyatt a hug for me. Keep me updated." She smiled and kissed him one last time. After watching them go through security they headed out and got on the road. As promised Amy kept them posted and right on time they landed in Denver. She called and Wyatt got on the phone to say hello and thanked Ty again. The ride home went well as the kids were still on a high from the trip. But deep down they were worried for Wyatt. Ty spoke up, "Guys we just need to be there for Wyatt and your sister. It is going to be a tough week and we need to give them space. Mom and I talked and I think if they are Ok we will try to talk to Lyndy every night." They smiled and shook their heads in agreement. About an hour from home, Amy called letting them know she had landed in Calgary and Katie and Clay were waiting for her. He laughed, "Well I think we will be there a half hour after you get home." All the kids yelled at once, Hi mom, love you, can't wait to see you." Amy laughed and told Ty to turn the speaker off. "Ty Grandma June is not well at all." Choking up she continued, "Babe she may not survive this. Wyatt is being strong but he needs Lyndy, it was so good that she is with him." Ty smiled and whispered, "I love you Ames and I will see you soon." He hung up as the carload of Borden's were excited to see their mom and get home.
