Chapter Eighty-Eight
A Girl Becomes a Woman
A/N – Well, the family continues to grow with baby Nate being welcomed into the world of this amazing family. I hope the horse jumping storyline was on point as this is an integral part of who this family is. And the decisions made by Addie and Lyndy are a part of watching our children grow up and finding their path. I used to joke with my family that I am still trying to figure that out. I will definitely stay focused on these two amazing young ladies as well as the rest of the kids, and Wyatt of course. I am wondering if I should just call him their sixth child, let me know what you think. It's birthday time for Lyndy and turning 15 will be a big step in her life. I hope I am not making her too mature and I promise I will handle it discreetly and with dignity. In this chapter I will get a little business out of the way then focus on the celebration. I have so many storylines to cover over the summer and expect it will take a bunch of chapters to get through it all. Mature Content Enjoy!
P.S. – I am closing in on 90 chapters and will be passing 400K words after this one. To be honest I would have never predicted this. Let me know what you think. Is the story getting stale or are you still enjoying it? I have read multiple lengthy Heartland stories and I find myself always wanting more. I hope you feel the same way. Thanks.
Baby Nate was still receiving a lot of attention and Georgie was overwhelmed with the support and love of her family. The Borden girls came by offering to help her and Steven mostly by taking the twins out to play and leaving the three of them alone for some bonding time. Noah and Hannah loved their little brother and were very protective of him. But they also loved the extra attention they were getting from the family especially which was abundant. Both Cass and Bethany were nearing the end of their pregnancies. Cass had had a very good pregnancy and Bethany was doing better although she was still being very careful. For both of them the Day Care couldn't have come at a better time. It kept Billy and Ben occupied and gave them some time to themselves. Cass had started to cut back a little and Bethany continued to take it easy, as prescribed by her doctor. There was still concern of the actual birth but she was doing everything she could to get ready. Wedding planning for Katie and Clay was well underway. They decided that with everything going on that they would move it to the middle of the summer. That would allow all the babies to be born, Lyndy to have her birthday and summer work to settle in. Both continued to be more involved in the business and wanted to make sure they were there while others needed some time off. They planned a weekend in Banff for a short honeymoon partly because of that but also because they really didn't have enough money. As planned, since the Heartland house was pretty empty, they accepted an offer to stay there and make the attic their home. They had a bathroom and everything they needed for a young couple, especially privacy. Lou and Scott had completely remodeled and taken over one side of the house and Jack and Lisa had their space as well. All three couples had privacy in the large ranch house. Jack even joked at dinner that when kids came they could easily add more space to the second level. Katie blushed, GG we aren't even married yet." They all laughed but secretly Kattie and Clay were so happy with the support.
But the first point of order was the pre summer Board Meeting that Lisa and Jack called. As requested the members had gathered information from their teams and were prepared to discuss. The meeting day and time was set and kids were taken care of. Max as well as Georgie and Steven would be there but only because it was at Fairfield and Jenn, with Maddie and Gwen's help would have the baby close by. In fact most of the little ones were there as well. As they settled in Lisa and Lou opened with a brief financial overview. Each of the individual companies were still profitable and growing. But Lou noted that the Miracle Ranch continued to show the most growth and was over 40% of the overall operation and combined with Heartland was close to 65%. All in all the employee ownership program was a huge success, bonus program projections were in line and the Day Care was showing promising early results. Max interjected that the employee ownership and bonus program were well within legal guidelines set by the government as well. Lisa laughed, "I think we all underestimated the need for an onsite day care and if I am not mistaken, we have quite a wait list. I think we need to look at the opportunity to expand. Amy is there even room?" Amy smiled, "Well we definitely heard the same from our team and the other day, Caleb, Ty and I looked over the facility and surrounding land. Since we built it on the edge of the large open pasture where the wildies are we do have room to enlarge the facility without too much extra work or damaging their ecosystem. Will Vernon would not be happy if we messed with his horses." She glanced over to her grandpa as he smiled with a tear in his eye. Dr Mandy had fit in well and Ty noted, "Her surgical expertise has already been realized. The scope of our vet team's skill will be valuable moving forward." Scott agreed, "Not to brag but we have an all-star group of vets. I have spoked to many of my colleagues and they have nothing but great things to say about this group, even you Steven." He jokingly added. Everyone chuckled but all realized his skill of the vet and flexibility of the vet team.
The discussion moved to the ancillary programs such as the youth program, clinical paths from the university programs and the upcoming start for the Youth Camp named for Scott's grandpa. Amy and Ty went over some results from the youth group. Amazingly with very few exceptions, the kids that went through it had gone on to school or jobs focused on their skills. Ty joked, "Clint is milking this all over the country. He told me he gets a couple of calls a week and warned me that we will most likely have some visitors over the summer to look at our program. He is so thankful of what we have developed together." Cass then spoke up but was allowed to sit, "Ellie and I spoke to Dr. Molder and the University is extremely pleased with the clinical paths we have put together. He also said our ability to be flexible and meet the needs of each individual student is a benchmark they have shared with other universities. He mentioned also that other universities in the province would love to be able to send kids here as well but I told him we have to control the number so the quality is not affected adversely." She continued, "Ellie told me that he said they have a waiting list and we feel we should remain dedicated to their program only as they have done so much other great things with us." Everyone agreed and Scott laughed, "Well interestingly I got a call from the department at my alma mater and she asked the same thing. I told her we would discuss it but I agree, we should stay true to the U of C." Ty smiled and blushed a little, Hey Scott remember when you told me to stay true to someone." They laughed together as Amy looked at him with a questioning glance. He smiled and whispered, "Later honey." Georgie gagged and the rest of them chuckled at the interaction. Scott spent some time going over the Youth Camp letting everyone know that everything was ready and the first day was fast approaching. Many of the team committed to being there for the big day. Lisa and Jack told them they would break for lunch and then spend the afternoon talking about the current state, the future and any new ideas.
As soon as they adjourned the moms all ran to their kids. Georgie had a baby to feed and she was sure the twins were looking for her. They had invited Jenn, Benn, Katie, Clay, Ellie and Mandy to the afternoon so the other Borden girls would be taking over kid duty for them as well as joining them for lunch. Wyatt was helping to the team back at the Clinic so he couldn't make it. After everyone got their kid fix Lyndy gathered them up and left the adults alone. Lisa brought the now bigger group back to order. "Ok guys the first thing we would like to do is review the physical facilities. Let's start with the clinic, Scott." He mentioned that everything was working well but they did think they may look at developing the outside area where they had a small paddock for cows to get fresh air. "We are thinking about taking these pens and allowing access for them so they could move freely in and out." The team liked the idea and looked over the money needed to do it. Lou felt it was more than doable financially. Jenn mentioned that they may want to consider adding two more cabins in the open area she pointed to. "We will definitely get good use out of them and I feel it won't disturb the look we are going for. I can get some bids and let everyone know." Again everyone thought that was a great idea. Outside of the Day Care expansion, the Miracle Ranch and Heartland were good as everyone looked over the schematics for both. Lou spoke up, "Well this may be out there a bit, but one of the servers at Maggie said we should enclose the patio between the diner and the building next door. I checked the city for the property lines and we extend all the way to that wall. I am not talking about complete extension but enclosing it with a roof and movable partitions so it could be open during warm weather. We could use it in cooler time but just pulling the walls down and having some portable heaters. I think it would really enhance the diner and draw more people." Everyone thought that was a great idea and Lou shared the cost, that was minimal. They adjourned the meeting with some committed follow ups.
As the Borden's got back to the ranch the kids immediately got to their chores. Dinner was filled with stories of the kid watching, information about some of the ideas mentioned at the Board meeting and just general chit chat. Amy smiled at Ty and whispered, "Look at Lyndy and Wyatt, you would think they were apart for a week." She smiled and spoke up, "Well Lyndy kind of a big birthday coming up ehh," Lyndy blushed, "Mom it's not that big of a deal." Wyatt laughed, "Yea right, it's all you have been talking about for weeks. Girls am I wrong?" Each one of them agreed laughing. Ty smiled, "Well we all will make sure it is a perfect day. You are still good with the party right?" She smiled, "Yes and thanks for letting my friends come as well. I am really looking forward to it." Maddie laughed, "Lyndy we know what you are really looking forward to, your date." Amy shushed her as Lyndy was embarrassed, "Young lady that is none of your business so chill," Lyndy smiled and thanked her quietly. The family cleaned up and got ready for bed. It was a long day and everyone was tired. Amy asked Wyatt and Lyndy to help clean up and the others went to their rooms. She said, "So have you decided what you want to do. She blushed, "Well we kind of want to go to the fishing cabin, would that be Ok?" Ty shocked them and said, "Will you be staying overnight, it's a good drive and if we have to pick you up you won't have much time." Amy smiled as her and Ty had already talked about it. Lyndy looked with her eyes wide open, "You would be Ok with that, I mean overnight." Amy smiled putting her hand on her daughters, "Well we trust you both and are Ok because we know you can handle it, Can you?" Wyatt spoke up, "I respect your daughter and would never do anything to hurt her or lose your trust. You know how I feel about this family and Lyndy, it is too important to me to have that ruined." Ty spoke up, "Well thanks Wyatt and we are good with it. We probably need to keep it on the down low but I have to be fatherly here – don't let us down." The both looked at them and assured them they wouldn't hugging them both and thanking them."
After good nights Amy and Ty were in their room getting ready for bed. As usual Ty was staring at Amy as she sat at her dressing table combing her hair. He could never get enough of watching her and looking at his beautiful wife. And as usual she glanced at him and smiled, "So what was with you and Scott about the be true comment." He smiled but then got a look of sadness. She immediately went to him and held him in her arms. "Ty, what is it." He kissed her and remembered, "When we had our plane crash, I was worried that Scott may not make it. He looked at me and told me his remorse on not staying with Lou and called it the worst decision of his life. Then he looked into my eyes and told me to be true to you because we were meant to be." She didn't say anything but reached up and kissed him passionately and whispered, " Well you have more than lived up to his request, now make love to me, mister." He rolled her over as their kiss continued. Their love was unmatched as they kissed and touched each other. Amy was so in love with him she couldn't resist herself as she kissed her way to all his most erogenous places. She was masterful in bringing him pleasure and by his moans she knew she was doing well. She moved down his chest to his stomach and below. He arched his back as she stimulated him to a level he was needing. As she finished her turn his full attention went to her. Their foreplay had always been aggressive but they both focused on each other first. He moved over her body and all the familiar places were touched, squeezed and kissed. She was in a trance of complete love as he pleasured her, She as well arched her back and moved with him, moaning his name over and over. After a resounding climax she rolled on top of him and lowered herself onto his manhood. The sensation was overwhelming for both of them as they moved together joined in their love. As they neared a mutual orgasm their love exploded in passion and love. As they settled, catching their breath, she smiled and whispered into his chest, "Well you were definitely being true to me there lover boy." They chuckled and nestled into to a blissful sleep.
It was party day and the house was a little more than chaotic than normal. After light Saturday morning breakfast the family began their assigned duties. Lyndy's birthday was in a few days but they all made sure she had little to do. They decided that her and Wyatt would tend to the horses which was not really a burden for them. The tent was up, set up with tables and a buffet line. In total they were expecting around 50+ people. There were definitely a lot of people who loved Lyndy. Annie, Addie and Maddie made sure and pregnant lady area was set up in the porch with comfortable seats and fans to keep them cool. Bethany planned to come but would not be very mobile. As usually several kids form the youth program volunteered to serve food and clean up. Amy and Ty decided to give them each an envelope with some cash for their help. The food and cake were ordered and being delivered late morning. People would begin arriving early afternoon and an early evening buffet would be served. After presents, cake and ice cream would be served. Clay and Wyatt had music ready to go so dancing would happen after. Lyndy and Wyatt walked out of the barn hand in hand as she stopped and with a tears in her eyes, she leaned into him, "I love my family so much and I love you too." He smiled, "Well that is good because I love you and am looking for our trip to the fishing cabin." She giggled as they walked over to all of the activity. As soon she arrived her sisters and little brother ran to hug her as Maddie spoke, "Do you like it?" She smiled tearily, "This is amazing and I love all of you." Amy and Ty watched the interaction, loving the fact that their kids were so close. JT jumped into Lyndy's arms kissing her cheek, "Happy birthday sissy, I love you." That did it for her as she broke out in more tears. The five children hugged and held on to each other as Wyatt joined Amy and Ty watching the interaction. He smiled, "Wow look at how much they love her, it is amazing." Amy and Ty smiled as they hugged him as well. Amy smiled, "Well you are part of that love as well."
As people arrived, the younger Borden's took charge. The Lou in Maddie came out as she made sure people knew where to sit, put gifts and the agenda for the party. With Gwen by her side she made sure Cass and Bethany got settled as the twins ensured everyone either got a drink or knew where they were. The elders also had an area where they could see everything and be comfortable. Addie was assigned to make sure they had drinks and anything else the needed even though Tim bickered a bit contending her was not that old. Jack, Lisa, Max, Lilly and Casey appreciated it and thanked her several times. As expected Lyndy was the center of attention and with Wyatt by her side, she greeted everyone as the came in the tent. She had the biggest smile on her face and was so happy. As her and Wyatt's friend showed up screams and giggles filled the air. Of course Gwen and Sylvia were there with Maddie, but Desi and Jeremy and a couple of the twin's friends were invited as well. The kids huddled together and laughed and talked. Maddie and all of her friends played with all the little folks and kept them occupied as well. Clay had some nice background music on but would pump things up later. There were quite a few gifts on the gift table as Maddie made sure they were organized. Maddie had a notebook to make notes on who gave what. Amy laughed sitting with Lou, Katie and Georgie, "Lou look at her, she is you." Georgie added, "Oh my god I can't believe it, she definitely the Lou crazy organizing thing." Katie laughed, "I agree, but I have to say I have really appreciated mom helping with the wedding." Lou folded her arms and proudly said, "It makes me feel good that someone else in this family has shown responsibility. Amy I am sure she is my favorite of your kids." They all laughed and watched the party unveiling before them.
After a welcoming and emotional speech by Amy and Ty, food was served. The birthday girl stepped back and made sure that the pregnant ladies and elders were able to get their food first. Then the rest of the group got their food and sat down to eat. As things calmed down Maddie proudly announced that several people wanted to say something as she started, "Attention everyone, we want to thank you all for coming to celebrate Lyndy's 15th birthday. I can only wonder how it feels to be so old. My other sisters and little brother wanted me to say that we all love her a lot, almost as much as Wyatt." Everyone laughed as the two of them both blushed. "Anyway we just wanted to make sure everyone has a great time and celebrate our older sister." Everyone applauded. First up was Jack as he spoke about the family history and how proud he and Lisa were of what Lyndy had already accomplished. He put his head down as he continued, "I am sure that her grandma Marion and my Lyndy would be so proud of their namesake and how she carries on the legacy of our family. Happy birthday sweetie." Tears filled the crowd as Lyndy hugged her GG tightly. Next up was surprisingly Tim. He talked emotionally about her and repeated how him and Casey were so proud of her and everything she had done. Again Lyndy ran to them both and hugged them tightly. Lilly was next and gave an emotional speech about her and how she was so much like her mom. She also put her head down and continued, "As some of you know, I was not always there for my son and without Amy, Jack, Lou and this family, well things may have not turned out as well as they have for him. Being like her mother assures me that she is and will be an amazing friend, wife, mother and family member for the rest of her life. Max and I love you very much honey and thank you."
At this point the crowd was all in tears as Lyndy joined Amy and Ty hugging the both of them. After a few more lighthearted speeches Lyndy stood up with Wyatt by her side. She emotionally thanked everyone for coming, as Wyatt put his arm around her waist. "I love you all very much but I especially want to thank my sisters and brother as well as my mom and dad. You all mean everything to me. She then leaned into Wyatt and continued, "But I especially want to thank this guy who has always been there for me. He is my confidant and my best friend. Even though he has experienced a lot of loss in his life he was always available to lean on. I want to also thank his parent and grandparents. Even though they are all gone I see them in him every day. I am proud to say that I love him and right now I am the happiest girl in the world." As she leaned into him the crowd erupted in applause as a lot of eyes were wiped free of tears. As the applause settled, JT yelled out, "Come on Lyndy open your presents. The little kids want cake and ice cream." The tension was broken with the never shy little boy's proclamation. Lyndy went through all of her gifts thanking everyone as she opened them. With Annie and Addie's help they logged all of them and realized she had a lot of thank you cards to write. Once she was done it was time for cake and ice cream. Lyndy and Wyatt got theirs but she insisted that all the little kids go next. Maddie also made a small bowl for Nate so he could give it a try on the end of his pacifier – he did and liked it. As they finished the kids from the youth program cleaned up as Wyatt, Caleb, Clay and Rusty moved things around to make room for everyone to dance. Dancing continued into the night as the kids especially were having a blast. There were even several slow songs where the older folks joined in, even Jack, Lisa, Max and Lilly. Lyndy and Wyatt made sure they danced with them as well and they really appreciated it. But when Modern Women came on after a few moments they made sure they danced with Amy and Ty as they knew how special the song was to them. After the song ended the four of them huddled and Lyndy said, "Mom and dad this party is amazing and we love you both very, very much." After a round of hugs they carried on for a bit longer and the crowd began to head home. Amy and Ty sat as the kids did some final clean up and headed to bed. There wasn't a need for them to speak as the held on to each other in joy.
After a late morning for everyone the family finally got up for breakfast. Ty looked around th table at his very tired kids. "I just want to say, you guys all did a great job yesterday, it was really a fun party for Lyndy and the four of you were a big part of it." Lyndy smiled in agreement. She held Wyatt's hand tightly under the table even more excited about the night at the fishing cabin. The planned to leave right after lunch and were already packed and ready to go. Maddie couldn't resist, "So Lyndy and Wyatt, when are you guys leaving for your night at the fishing cabin," emphasizing the word night. Lyndy blushed and Amy gave her youngest daughter a stern motherly look. "Well Miss Maddie dad is taking them up after lunch and since you are so interested, I need you to make sure Mystic and Star are ridden and taken care of." Maddie put her head down and ensured that her and Gwen would take care of them. The rest of the table giggled as the conversation went on as Lyndy spoke, "I know I thanked you all yesterday but you guys are the best, yesterday was amazing and I love you each every much." Maddie now humbled went over to hug her older sister joined but the other three. Amy squeezed Ty's hand as they watched. The kids headed out to the barn to take care of their horses as Amy and Ty sat on the porch looking over the grounds. Ty held his wife and whispered in her ear, "Ames I am just so happy right now. When I look out at our ranch and see out kids so happy it just makes me feel so good about our life. Would you believe that we would be Ok letting our 15-year-old daughter stay at the cabin with her boyfriend overnight?" She smiled kissing his neck, "I know but I really do trust them a lot and know they will be mature. I think the time alone will be good for them." He sighed, "You mean kind of like our alone time last night." She moaned into his chest, "Dr. Borden you were amazing last night, I am still tingling. You know they are going to be at least an hour." The both giggled held hands and headed to their bedroom. Within seconds clothes were discarded and love making was underway. Their love had no boundaries as they took the time to please each other.
The kids headed back to the house and noticed their parents were gone from the deck. JT laughed, "I bet they are kissing somewhere." They all laughed as they went to the kitchen for a drink. Amy heard them and panicked, "Ty they are back, hurry and get dressed." The quickly threw on their clothes and headed down to get Wyatt and Lyndy ready to go. Amy spoke, "He Lyndy lets check over everything for your trip, I think your dad wants to leave in an hour." She grabbed her hand and headed to her room but couldn't help noticing that she was giggling. "What's so funny honey?" Lyndy closed her door and whispered, "Mom you shirt is inside out." Amy turned a deep shade of red, "Oh I changed and must have not been paying attention." Lyndy smiled, "Mom this is the same shirt you had on earlier and it's Ok. I think it is great that you and dad get busted sometimes. Actually I love how you two love each other so much." They smiled, hugged and got her stuff together to take downstairs. Ty and Wyatt loaded up the SUV and the horses for the trip to the fishing cabin. The kids all helped and hugged their sister and Wyatt goodbye. Amy gave them on last hug and the three of them headed out. Maddie, Addie, Annie and JT leaned into their mother as JT spoke up. "Don't worry mom they will be fine. I spoke to Wyatt and told him to be nice to my sister or else." Amy and the girls laughed at their little brother, "Hey let's go for a trail ride." They all agreed and packed a little lunch, got the horses ready and headed out. The ride to the cabin was fun as Lyndy and Wyatt were very excited. They told their dad their plans and as they pulled up, Lyndy got the horses out and settled and Ty helped Wyatt unloaded their stuff. The also decided to leave the small two horse trailer there rather that have Ty pull it back. Ty went over the things they needed to do to get the cabin ready and reminded them to make sure they put any fire out completely and cover the garbage. They knew all this but figured he was just begin thorough. After one final hug of his daughter and stern handshake with Wyatt he headed out. They laughed as Lyndy said happily, "Let's go for a ride."
They took a trail that ran along the river and turned up to the foothills. She smiled, "Isn't this beautiful, I love this place so much." Lyndy was nervous, not being with Wyatt but staying the night. She had been feeling things for him that confused her and had really been talking to her mom and Katie about it a lot. At times she struggled with only being 15 and feeling this way but she remembered the conversation she had had with Grandma June before she passed away. She had told her that she was sure she fell in love with his grandpa when they were in eighth grade. She remembered her words of advice, "I was sure I loved him but I was also sure that we needed time to grow our love. We were too young in some ways but not in others. Lyndy, I know you love my grandson but be patient with him. Boys are different but I am sure he will be respectful of what you want. Take your time honey, your love will survive." She glanced at him and blushed. He asked, "What are you thinking about Miss Borden?" She blushed, "I was thinking about something your grandma said to me once about boys, specifically you. Wyatt why do you love me?" He stopped his horse and took her hand with a serious look in his face. "Lyndy I love you because you are kind and passionate. You are beautiful but modest. You are always there for the ones you love and can always be counted on. You are my best friend and have helped me deal with loss. When I look at you I feel warm inside, not in a weird way but in a happy and content way. Not to steal your dad's line but I would do anything for you and have dreamed of our life together." She blushed smiling as they continued their ride in silence. They got back to the cabin, untacked the horses, brushed them and gave them fresh water and hay. He laughed and broke their silence, "It was a good idea to leave the trailer, we can store the hay and tack inside." She looked at him and blushed, leaning into him for a hug, "I love you Wyatt."
After they had a snack they decided to go fishing. Always competitive Lyndy said that the person that catches less has to cook them. After about an hour they had each caught two keepers which was more than enough for dinner but since there was a bet, they continued. Lyndy shrieked, "I got one loser as she reeled in a nice sized trout." Wyatt laughed, "Ok I will clean and dry them up, but the sides are all you." They worked well together getting dinner ready. They sat at the same table that her mom and dad had first realized they loved each other. During dinner she told Wyatt the sorry of that night at the fishing cabin when her dad got sick and told her she was beautiful. "You know mom was only 16 when she knew. The next morning was when she finally told him and he said the same to her. It must have been so romantic." She smiled as Wyatt looked at her beautiful eyes, "You see that is why I love you. When you told that story about your parents your eyes gleamed with love. You are so caring and so amazing. I just can't help it – I love you forever Lyndy Marion Borden." Again she blushed as they quietly cleaned up and decided to make some smores and watch the sunset from the front porch. Wyatt got the fire started and Lyndy gathered the supplies and made some hot chocolate. It was a cool evening so they snuggled up and enjoyed the sweets. It was perfect and they both sat in silence enjoying their closeness. They were both nervous. They had no expectations, just trepidation of the fact they would be falling asleep with each other. They had napped together but never like this - alone. She looked at him with tired eyes, "Well we better clean up I am tired. It took a lot to whoop you in our fishing contest." He laughed and kissed her forehead. She immediately smiled realizing that that is what her dad always did to her mom. They cleaned up, made sure the fire was completely out and headed in.
As Wyatt walked into the room he found Lyndy in her sweats and t-shirt sound asleep on the bed. He laughed and looked at her feeling like the luckiest guy in the world. He slipped into his pajamas and went to lay next to her. He had no agenda and expected nothing from his girl, lying next to her was perfect for now. He quickly joined her in a deep sleep, both of then dreaming of the future. Early the next morning Lyndy woke as the sun peaked through the curtain. As she gathered herself she realized that Wyatt's arm was around her waist and his other under her pillow. But what she really noticed was how close they were. She felt his entire body hugging her as he laid behind her. She was startled and didn't know what to do. The had held each other many times before but this time was different as she felt all of him. She froze as he was calmly sleeping behind her. She had to get up so slowly began moving from his grasp. She managed to free herself but missed his warmth and touch. She stood up and stretched heading to the bathroom. Before she went in she heard a voice, "Good morning beautiful." She blushed deeply covering up although she didn't need to. She smiled and told him good morning. After she stepped out she saw Wyatt getting coffee ready. He laughed, "Since I made dinner you get breakfast." They hugged and kissed and went on to their task.
Breakfast consisted of pancakes and talk. They talked easily about everything. They both realized how good they were for each other as there was a lot of laughing, joking and giggling. Lyndy blushed, "Thanks for holding me last night, it was perfect." He smiled, "I know we are here alone but I think moving forward will come when we are both ready. I felt like last night holding you was what you needed most." They say quietly and finished breakfast. After a long walk along the river they came back to start packing up. They had agreed that the whole family would pick them up in the big truck. Just before lunch they showed up with a picnic in hand that they all enjoyed. The kids played by the river as Amy and Ty sat with the couple on the porch. The chatted quietly and all concerns about potential intimacy went away for Amy and Ty. They were talking to a couple who loved and respected each other completely. The drive home was fun and per their parents direction none of the kids made any uncomfortable comments. JT couldn't' help himself as he made fun of Wyatt, "You let a girl catch more fish than you? Man you are weak." Wyatt tickled him and said, "One day little man you will see that you need to let a girl win, they really like that." That started a whole barrage from the four Borden girls about letting her win. Amy and Ty sat in the front holding hands and smiling. Their life consisted of many special times and events. They realized that this could be added to that list.
