Chapter Ninety-Three
Memories of Love
A/N – It seems the Borden kids had a great time strengthening the bond with their Trudeau friends at their family compound. Now, I am going to do a small, time warp thing. This chapter happens during the time of the kids trip. We will hopefully all enjoy Ty and Amy's week away at Pike River. It has been a place of challenge but mostly joy for them. And as expected there will be a horse involved and an old friend. I needed to clarify a point raised by a reviewer concern the romantic side of Amy and Ty's relationship. Basically there was a insinuation that their intimacy seems to be repetitive. I understand the comment's intent but I wanted to say a few things in response. First, a consistent and romantic level of intimacy is in my mind pretty special. Being so in tuned with your partner is a perfect situation. Second, I do have limits to the level of detail I want to portray. I have read some Fanfic works that gets over the top graphic and some may like that but in respect of how the show portrayed their love I want to keep a slight reign on things. Finally, in my opinion this story is the love affair of Amy and Ty and I want you to be able to enjoy all of their interactions and adventures. Intimacy is a part of this story and I hope my portrayal is respectful to my intent. So let's see how the week goes and I promise a fun reunion will follow. After this chapter I will close out the summer and have another legacy surprise for you that was an idea from a reader. Back to the intimacy thing, as you might expect this chapter will have a fair amount of it. I mean it's Pike River. Mature Content. Enjoy!
The ride back from the airport was quiet for the sad parents. They were looking forward to their week but the thought of 7 whole days without their kids was a little overwhelming. Well that was until they got back, smiled at each other and headed to their bedroom discarding clothes. With no kids to bother them they thought a little lovin was in order. Two hours later Ty laid back next to his amazing wife and whispered, "It's gonna be a great week. But I think we do need to be seen by people, at least until we leave tomorrow." Amy smiled and cuddled, pouting into her husband's bare chest. "Do we really have to, I want to stay like this forever." He laughed, "No a bad idea but if we don't get out there the rumors will start, the kids will find out and it will be a nightmare. We already get a constant hassling from almost everyone." She giggled, "They are just jealous because I am married to the hottest man in the world who loves me forever." Ty hummed, "Well that is true but I don't really care because I am married to the sexiest woman on the planet." They both looked at each other and broke out in laughter. After a fun shower they headed out to the office hand in hand with big smiles on their faces. Caleb saw them and couldn't resist, "Didn't you drop the kids off a while ago? Has the party started already." Amy rolled her eyes and smirked, "Caleb O'Dell I think you need to get to work." As they walked on Amy saw Georgie working with a troubled horse that just arrived and drug Ty over to watch with her. Katie and Rusty were watching as well as Katie looked over at the two of them. "Wow, we all thought we wouldn't see the both of you today in the outside world. I mean come on, no kids, empty house, it was just expected." Rusty laughed, "Dang it, I didn't win the pool, I had two hours from now." All of a sudden Steven rounded the corner high fiving a miffed Rusty. "Yes, I won the pool, it's the easiest 50 bucks I ever won." Ty and Amy looked on confused as Georgie walked over to the fence, admitting the scheme. "Ok, not my idea but a pool started by an unnamed best friend of you two as to what time you would appear from the house today. I have to say I am a little disappointed, I had three hours from now. And actually some people had tomorrow! You guys are kind of a legend here." Amy looked at her flustered, "How many people were in on this?" Katie smiled, "Umm, like everybody. It was a $1 to enter and we had $54 in the pot. It was a lot of fun." Both Amy and Ty blushed wildly, both embarrassed and wanting to kill Caleb. After the dust settled, Ty whispered in her ear, "Maybe we should leave now."
Amy and Ty were planning to head out just after breakfast and a quick run through with everyone to make sure things were handled while they were gone. The plan was to stay until Friday and then come home. That would give them some time to get ready for the kids return on Saturday. After they finished their day, they had a romantic dinner in front of the fire. Midafternoon the phone rang with a video call from Maryanne and the kids. She had called when the kids made it to P.E.I. which made the both of them feel at ease. The call at night was also short as the kids were tired from a day of travel and looking around the compound. By the sound of it the compound was beautiful and there was a lot to do. The kids seemed really happy even after Ty reminded them to behave and be respectful of the place and Mr. and Mrs. Trudeau. As they hung up, Amy laughed, "Thank goodness we just had a shot above our necks." Ty had a T-shirt and boxers on and Amy was wearing his favorite pajamas with a t-shirt on as well. As the call ended clothes were discarded quickly as they attacked each other on the plush rug in front of the fire. They kissed and fondled each other giggling and moaning. Amy was enjoying the intimacy, especially right out in the open area of their living room. And by the sounds from Ty he was enjoying it as well. They were so in sync with each other each as their moves brought pleasure to their partner. Amy kissed him aggressively moving all over his body focusing on the place that brought the loudest moan. "Amy, my god that feels so good, you are my little wildcat." She giggled and continued to pleasure him until he couldn't hold back anymore. He reversed the table and began moving over her body as well. She was a little winded as he moved from her neck, down to her breast and below. She marveled at how he excited her. They made love often but each time he made it like it was their first. She was amazed how it was always about her and he was not letting her down this time at all. She screamed out his name as he attacked her most erogenous area, exploding with a couple of orgasms. After a moment for each of them to catch their breath, Amy climbed above him joining them together as one. She moved up and down as he matched her motion. They had no words just moans of pleasure. As they peaked, Amy let out a growl and Ty spoke her name with a deep rasp in his voice. "You are definitely a wildcat Mrs. Borden." She collapsed on top of him and huskily said, "And you Dr. Borden are a pure-bred stud." They giggled and held each other until a peaceful sleep came to both of them.
They awoke the next morning in the same place they ended up last night. Neither of them had moved and as the sun peaked through the window, they woke looking into each other's eyes. Ty whispered, "Amy we are on the floor in front of the fireplace completely naked." She smiled, "And that is bad because?" They began to share a good morning kiss as both of their phones went off at the same time. Amy saw a call from Lyndy and Ty had one from Steven. They pulled themselves up, holding the blanket around them and answered. Amy answered her daughter just as Ty answered Steven. The both had conversations and then said goodbye. Amy spoke first. "Lyndy said they were going shopping and she wanted to know if she could buy lunch for everyone. I told her of course and if she needed to, use the credit card we gave her." Ty spoke up, "Steven wanted to make sure I saw him before we left." They laughed and stood up in their birthday suits for a hug and kiss. Ty suggestively winked at her, "I think we need a shower and need to get on our way. If last night was any indication, it is going to be a fun week." Their kiss increased but a loud knock on the door startled them as Georgie was yelling through the door if they were there. In a panic, Amy told her just a minute as their two unclothed bodies gathered up their mess and ran their room to get dressed. Ty got ready first and went to let her in with Amy not too far behind him. They were a bit disheveled but presentable. In typical Georgie fashion she complained, "Geez you too I was out there forever. Aren't you coming over before you leave to go over some final things for us to do while you are gone. It's like 8:00 already." Then she hesitated looking around and laughed, "Really Amy could you have at least picked up your panties from the lamp shade, you two are gross. And good lord don't you have like five days together, alone. You need to get a grip." Amy blushed not able to give a reasonable response. "Well Georgie, if you must know, we kind if didn't make it to our room. Are you happy with the detail?" Georgie gagged in disgust. She headed out as Ty and Amy gathered themselves. After a fun shower, they packed up, secured the house and headed over to the office. After going over what they needed to they and rusty loaded up the Blaze and Triumph, they hopped in the truck and began the 4-hour trip. They held hands, smiling at each other completely and totally in love.
When the pulled up big smiles came to both of them. Their memories of this place were mixed. Amy smiled thinking about when they came at Christmas to save the stranded horses. They both remember when they were on the break after the Ahmed disaster. Tim had tricked Ty in coming and eventually after some conversations they got back together. Amy smiled, "If I recalled you proposed to me a third time right there in the gazebo." He laughed, "Your right, at Stumpy's fishing Camp, by the pond after you found the ring and then again here. Which was your favorite?" She smiled blushing, "They all were special and romantic. I loved the shooting star, the fun we had with the second one but I guess the one here holds a special place. I can't tell you how happy I was when you asked me to do it with you. I almost screamed with joy but decided to kiss you instead." Ty looked into her eyes, "I loved you so much that night, I couldn't control my emotions. I was worried that you wouldn't want to be with me. I was so relieved when you said okay." She snuggled into his chest, "I think we should spend some time back there to reminisce." They hopped out the truck and walked into the diner to a smiling Joanna and a very tall man in his 20's with his arms around a beautiful young woman. Amy was startled and yelled out, "Joanna it is so great to see you and wait a minute, Is this Sam?" He smiled reaching out to hug her and shake Ty's hand, "And this is Shoshona, my wife. We help mom out during the busy season sometime as we both teach at the high school where we live." Amy noticing a small baby bump looked at him and smiled broadly. "Oh yeah we are pregnant with our first child. Grandma is pretty excited." Another hug was in order and Shoshona got one as well. Joanna spoke up, "Well it is so great to see you two, it has been way too long. Your cabin is ready and you'll be happy to see we have done some renovations and best of all the gazebo is waiting for you." Shoshona looked questionably and Sam told her he would fill her in later. Joanna continued, "So how are my dad's wildies?" Ty smiled, "They are really doing well the heard has grown a little but Amy is always breaking them as needed for family and other interested clients. They have a lot of open land and just like your dad, we make sure they have plenty of hay when it gets cold." Sam smiled, "That's awesome I bet he would be pleased, well as pleased as Grandpa could be." He hesitated and continued to speak, "Speaking of horses, I know you are here to some time together but I need your help." Amy's eyes widened as Ty placed his arm around her shoulder.
After Sam talked about his horse, and Joanna inviting them to dinner, Amy and Ty checked into the cabin and unloaded their stuff. Amy secretly hid some rather intimate clothing items she planned to surprise Ty with. After they unpacked they had a little while before dinner so decided to cuddle in front of the famous fireplace that caused issues the first time they were there. Ty leaned over to kiss his wife and the cuddling became a little more heated. After a little while a few buttons were undone, belt buckles loosened and breathing was heavy. Amy caught a glance of the time and regrettably pulled back. "Ty we need to go and meet Sam at the stable and then have dinner with them." Ty frowned, "Fine but in the words of JT I defiantly want a rain check. I saw some of those items you unpacked and I can't wait for a fashion show." She poked his ribs as they got up, put themselves together and headed out reminding him of the call they had to make to the kids before dinner. They approached the pen hand in hand and saw a beautiful blue roan horse fidgeting around. Sam smiled, "Hey guys, this is Rambo. Shoshona gave him to me as a wedding present. He is a great horse but lately he has become skittish, especially when we go on trail rides. Back home, my in-laws have an alpaca ranch along with horses for the family. We always bring our horses with us in the summer but for some reason he is not acting normal. So, Miracle Girl, can you help me. And my mom says the room is on us as payment because we figured you wouldn't take money from us." Ty laughed, "Well there are many things I love about my wife and this week we plan to have some quality time together." Amy blushed as he continued. "But watching her work with a horse is why I fell in love with her. I kind of think she will say yes." Amy smiled looking at her husband with love in her eyes. "Of course I will.," she beamed. Amy asked about more details about the horse and Ty took the time to look him over. After a bit, Amy got in the pen and began lunging him, just to get to know him better. Sam, Shoshona and Joanna looked on in wonder as she gracefully moved him around the pen, reversing direction several times. After about 30 minutes she was confident the time was right. She turned in and Rambo slowly approached her nuzzling her neck. She gave him a treat and pat on the neck as they all applauded. "Well he trusts me, now the hard work begins. I don't know about you but I am hungry, so let's eat." Dinner was briefly interrupted by a call from the kids. Their host couldn't believe that their kids were staying with the Canadian Prime Minister's family. Joanna spoke up as she passed around the food she prepared, "Wow we are in the midst of celebrities, what are they like." Amy laughed, "Well I wouldn't go that far, but they are just a really nice family. They have six kids and I have become close to Maryanne, the mom. I had some health issues and she was there for me. They are just great people and the kids have become pretty close." When they finished dinner Ty and Amy thanked them and headed back to the cabin. Amy snuggled into his chest, "Remember Dr. Borden, I have a rain check to claim." They stepped up their pace anxious to get back to the cabin.
The next morning the two lovers awoke in each other's arms. Amy smiled, "Good morning lover boy, I think you took care of the rain check rather nicely last night." He smirked, "Nicely, it was nice really?" She kissed his neck in a hushed voice, "No it was amazing, perfect, mind blowing, is that good enough. But I am hungry lets go get breakfast." They got up and dressed for the day. The plan was to go on a trail ride and picnic farther up the river. In the afternoon Amy wanted to work with Rambo for a bit and she had a surprise for Ty at dinner. The ride was amazing and the horses really enjoyed the easy trail. The weather and the view were both spectacular. They reminisced about the Christmas trip they made and revisited the area where they wild horses were trapped. They went by Will Vernon's old farm, that the family had sold and thought about him and his wild herd. Saving those horses from that cull brought them back together helping them realize they did have th same goals and aspirations and wanted to do it together. A tear formed in Amy's eyes when she remembered the night on the gazebo when their love rekindled. Then she smiled as she recalled the very quiet lovemaking in the cabin where her grandpa and father were. Ty looked at her, "What are you thinking about their horsey girl?" She smiled, The gazebo, back in the cabin and trying to keep quiet." He looked at her beautiful eyes and leaned over to kiss her, "Me too." They found a perfect spot and enjoyed their picnic lunch, feeding each other laughing and making out. The horses weren't bothered by their human partners and just grazed nearby. They laid next to each other and watched the clouds roll by. It was perfect and as usual Amy dozed a bit as Ty watched her feeling like they were teenagers when they used to do this a lot. After 20 minutes she stirred and found two emerald eyes looking at her, "Did I fall asleep?" He laughed, "Of course you did but I have to say it was hard not to attack you, you are so beautiful." They kissed passionately and rolled around enjoying each other. Amy smiled, "Save that for tonight, we have a horse to work with." They packed up and headed back to the lodge. Ty untacked the horses and Amy went to find Sam. "Hey Sam, I am going to work with Rambo, I think I know what the issue is."
Ty, Sam and Shoshona watched Amy work. She lunged him again and he responded much quicker. "Sam come in here with me I want to try something." As Sam approached, Rambo greeted him nuzzling his neck as he rubbed his snout and his withers. Amy could tell that they had an amazing bond. She continued, "Ok, Sam you head out and Shoshona come join me. Now stay behind me and follow my lead." She called him over and gave him a mint. Then she brought Shoshona to her side and Rambo did a sidestep staying closer to Amy. "Ok now very easy now rub his snout." Shoshona did and although she was able to Rambo tensed up a bit and whinnied. Ty and Sam were ready to come in as the horse seemed agitated. Shoshona stepped back, "He has never done that before. I was the one who went to see him and bought him on site. He is such an amazing and calm horse. He came right up to me and we bonded quickly." Amy smiled, "But with the wedding and the baby on the way I guess you don't spend a lot of time with him?" Sam spoke up, "No but I ride him almost every day and groom him as well. He is a great horse and every time I am with him I know that he was a gift from my wife, whom I love so much." Amy smiled, "Well I think I know what is going on. Rambo is jealous of your wife. Not only that, but he also knows she is pregnant and is scared that the time with you may lesson. He is jealous of Shoshona and the new baby already. Horses are intuitive and he thinks you may not spend as much time with him." Sam and Shoshona looked at each other realizing that Amy was right. Sam asked, "So, what do we do?" Amy smiled, "Well, we are done for today, I have to get my surprise ready for Ty. Tomorrow we will start having Shoshona groom and feed him. I think moving forward even if you do it together, Rambo will figure everything will be Ok. And when that baby comes, introduce Rambo to him or her as soon as possible. Horses have strong parental instincts and letting him know the baby is safe will be important." They thanked her and decided to spend some time together tomorrow afternoon. As they walked away they saw Joanna and she gave a thumbs up to Amy and smiled. Ty knew something was up and tickled her as they headed to the cabin.
As soon as they walked in the cabin they began attacking each other as Ty whispered, "God I love it when you work with a horse." Clothes were thrown everywhere as the two lovers barely made it to the bed. Amy glanced at her phone and said, "Two hours until your surprise, I guess we can stay busy." She tossed the phone on the nightstand and attacked Ty, kissing and squeezing him in all the right places. She was definitely in wildcat mode and Ty struggled to keep up. But keep up he did. They pleasured each other with a love only they had. After several peaks of passion they joined together in their special level of intimacy. Ty was in command and moved in and out of his wife as she moaned his name. They helped each other reach their climax confirmed by their moans and screams of their partner's name. The need to be quiet was not a factor and they enjoyed the freedom. As they recovered they were startled when the phone rang with video call from Maryanne. The frantically put t-shirts on, fixed their hair and answered. Maryanne laughed and they heard music in the background, "I didn't catch you at a bad time. Amy is see you like to wear t-shirts backwards." Blushing she quickly turned it around and said, "Oh no we were just getting ready for Ty's surprise." She laughed again, "Yea right. Anyway you have to see something." She turned the phone around and saw Lyndy singing and Grandpa Trudeau playing one of Grandma Lyndy's songs. Immediately they both teared up. Amy emotionally asked Maryanne to put her close and turn the volume up. At the right time she joined in the song startling the entire group, including Lyndy. She did not waiver as they completed the song together. Everyone clapped as Lyndy smiled with tears in her eyes. "Mom, when did you start listening?" Maryanne admitted it was her fault. Amy spoke to her daughter, "Lyndy that was beautiful and Grandpa Trudeau, you know the song?" He smiled, "Actually a long time ago I saw your grandma sing a few times. Since then I have been a fan and have several of her records. Do you want to sing along for a couple more?" Ty grabbed her tightly around her waist as she emotionally responded, "I would love to." After a couple of more songs the kids said goodbye to their parents as the girls in unison told their dad to have fun with his surprise. It seemed everyone but Ty knew what was going on. As they hung up Amy cried tears of happiness in Ty's embrace.
After they gathered themselves they got ready for the surprise. Amy actually blindfolded Ty and walked him down by the river right to the famed gazebo. She sat him down and then tool the blindfold off. He was overwhelmed with emotions when he found himself sitting at a very well-appointed linen covered table with a cart next to it containing covered dishes and an ice chest with beer, Amy's favorite cider and a bottle of champagne. Amy smiled, "Surprise! I wanted us to remember how special this place is to us. Ty this is where we got our act together and you kind of proposed again." Ty smiled, "I was so nervous when Tim tricked me into coming with him, and when I came out to the gazebo, I was almost hyperventilating." He held her hand, "Amy I was worried that I had taken the break too far and when I saw you didn't have the engagement ring on I thought I lost you." She smiled moving closer to him, "Well I really thought you were going to call everything off. I was such an idiot not being honest with you and I felt I had lost you forever. I had the ring but didn't feel I deserved it. It was actually in my pocket in case you ask to have it back." The embraced and kissed passionately as Ty whispered, "We were both messed up but when you said Ok my heart leaped out of my chest. It was one of the best nights of my life. Winking at her he said, "Especially later." Amy gathered herself, "Well I wanted to have a nice dinner here to remember one of the best nights of both of our lives. Ty, I love you completely. Each day we are together our love grows stronger and I can't wait for each of them. But let's eat because I have one more surprises when we are done." They enjoyed maple glazed chicken with carrots, string beans and mash potatoes which was one of their favorite meals. After they cleaned up she pulled out a cooler with Saskatoon Berry pie and a tub of ice cream. They fed each other giggling like the two people in love that they were. Once they were stuffed, almost on cue, Joanna showed up and took all the things away. They moved their chairs close and sat looking out over the river. They sat there for a while quietly until Amy stood up and sat on Ty's lap. She began to speak trying to control her emotions, "Ty you have always been there for me and this place reminds me how special you are to me and our family. It's time for me to tell you how I feel." She stood up and kneeled next to him clutching his hands. "Ty Borden I promise to love you for the rest of our lives and beyond. My heart is your heart and we will always be one soul. You are my best friend, lover, father of our children and an amazing man. I love you." She pulled him up and gently kissed his lips with tenderness and compassion. He smiled and picked her up, carrying her to the cabin. Their night went on for several hours as they loved each other completely and unselfishly. There were no needs for words.
The rest of the week went perfectly. Amy worked with Sam, Shoshona and Rambo and before she left they had made great progress. They never left each other spending every minute of every day together. The went on rides, picnics even fished a little. They had romantic dinners and late breakfast. They loved each other as often as they could and felt as though they were closer than ever. They really enjoyed the calls with the kids as it seemed they were having a great time. They spoke to Maryanne and she assured them they were well behaved and very respectful, even helping with mucking and feeding the horses. One night she commented, "You know Wyatt and Lyndy are amazing. Since they found a bond with your grandma's music, they have gone out of their way to spend time with both of my in-laws and love them to death. I really think my father-in-law wants to go on tour with her, they are so good together. And the look on my mother in law's face when they are together is priceless. She told me the other day that she has never met a more mature and loving couple." Amy and Ty headed home Friday morning after a long farewell to Joanna, Sam and Shoshona with a promise to come back next time with the kids. The ride home was quiet as Amy fell asleep on Ty's shoulder. As they got close she woke up stretching and kissing her husband's cheek. "I guess you kind of wore me out lover boy." He smiled and squeezed her leg, "Well I am tired too, it will be nice to be home in our own bed tonight." They pulled up to the barn as Rusty and another ranch hand welcome them back and took care of the horses and trailer. Amy and Ty went into the office and were greeted by everyone they came across. Caleb came around the corner with Katie and Georgie. Katie smirked, "Well, well you survived and you both are glowing. I guess it was a good week?" Caleb laughed, "Come on girls they are the gold standard of couples but to be honest I am surprised they look as good as they do, you know all of the…" Georgie stopped him, "Cool it Caleb." Amy smiled and hugged them all. Ty asked, "So how are things here, figure it was kind of quiet without the Bordens here to raise havoc." Georgie smiled, "Not gonna lie we missed you guys but it went well." They all hugged again as Ty and Amy went to their office to check up in emails and such. When they finished and found that Rusty had moved the truck and unloaded their bags on the porch. They went inside, unpacked, ordered a pizza and relaxed by the fireplace for the night.
The next morning they woke up refreshed and excited to see the kids. Although it was the weekend they spent several hours catching up on things in the office. The snuck in a ride and picnic begore they headed out to the airport. Jack and Lisa offered to have th family back to Heartland for a welcome home BBQ. It would just be a small group of just immediate family including Max and Lilly. Amy was bouncing around waiting to see the kids come off the plane. Ty held her and quietly said, "Ames calm down they will be here in a second." The plane was in a separate hanger so they were able to wait there for it. Once it taxied in the steps were pulled up and the door opened. After the flight attendant checked everything out, the first person they saw was JT with Wyatt. He was smiling and waving at them. Justin followed the girls down the steps as the kids all ran to hug their parents. There was a lot of hugs and kisses. As Justin walked over he shook TY's hand and hugged Amy as well. "They were great you guys. Well maybe Maddie was a little crazy at times but I would expect nothing less from my BFF. Anyway I have to run, so we will talk soon. Bye kids." They all went to hugged him tightly and thanked him for the fun week. The team from the plane brought their bags down and helped Ty and Wyatt load them into the SUV. After a final wave they got in the SUV to head to Heartland. Amy made sure to text Maryanne to let them know the kids made it safe and sound. The kids were overly excited to be home and tell everyone about the trip. As they pulled up to Heartland the 5 Borden's raced into the house to see everyone. Hugs and welcome homes abounded. JT jumped on Jack's lap and started talking fishing with him, Max, Wyatt and Tim. The girls huddled together and talked excitedly about everything they did at the famliy compound. Amy and Ty were quiet as their week was thiers only. They sat back and watched the excitement holding each other with signs of tears in their eyes. She leaned into him, "Our week was amazing but I am so happy that the kids had a good time." She looked at him and kissed him deeply reaffirming her never-ending love for him. As they were off in their own world, they were interrupted by a frowning Maddie, "Can't you guys take a break, I mean you had a lot of time together this week?" Ty smiled, kissed Amy again a little longer than needed and said, "Absolutely not."
