Chapter One Hundred-Four
Recognition, Liberty Program
A/N – For those of you who are familiar with my writing style, I continue to have basic storylines and kind of develop them on the fly as ideas come to me. Well as you may have noted, I just finished my longest chapter. As I was writing, I had so much to cover and so many micro stories to add, the words just kept coming. I hope it all flows well and brings you some enjoyment. My intent with the last chapter was to provide a fun week for all and outside of Ty's minor injury, I think it was. Break is over and its back to our regularly scheduled story. I plan to cover a few different story lines up to Thanksgiving which I always enjoy writing about. We have a pretty big birthday coming up and several other surprises, challenges and some more visitors from the past (good ones). I have seen and uptick in reviews so thanks for the continuing the great feedback, keep it coming my way. Mature Content Enjoy!
The kids were excited to get back to school and their friends. Although their break was a lot of fun, getting back into the routine was something they enjoyed. Ty was recovered from his injury but was playing up how he had saved Amy's life to anyone who would listen. Although Amy laughed with him, privately the incident had shook her and she was grateful that he was fine. She joked, "I'll keep it on the down low but Ty as always you were there for me and I love you so much for it." She leaned over to give him a kiss and as a joke he winced a little. She laughed and pinched him making his actually pull back a little. She blushed, 'Sorry, love you." For Amy and Ty business continued to be steady. In their office Amy got a call from Buck and Mary. Dynamo was doing well and her instructions were really helping them. Mary reminded Amy, "Don't forget your promise to come back. Also how is Ty doing, we are really sorry he was hurt." Amy laughed, "He is all good but has been milking it, in fact he is telling everyone that he was a hero and saved me. Don't tell him know I said this but he has always been there for me. I just love him so much." They set a date for her and Ty to come back and as she hung up Ty walked in. He smirked and pulled him into his arms. "So you love me so much." She smiled in his chest, and looked into his eyes, "Ty Borden you are my everything. When I saw you get kicked, I was really scared. Ty I can never lose you and for a moment, I thought you were really hurt bad, I was so worried." He looked back into the most beautiful blue eyes in the world. "Amy, everything is ok, I am ok. I am in it for the long haul, forever. My life is a dream and you are the reason it is." They moved into a deep and passionate kiss forgetting where they were. After a few minutes, the heard several grunts coming from the door. A disgusted Georgie and Katie looked at them with concern. Georgie ranted, "Amy hello, we have 4 horses on the way and you are in her necking with your husband. Can you two give it a rest, good lord." Katie added, "You do know you have like a bunch of kids and it's a little embarrassing for them, don't you think?" They continued their looks of disgust as Amy smiled and laid another kiss on husband, ignoring their comments." As they finished, she stood up and calmy waled to the door, "Ok let's go, I'm ready." Ty burst out laughing as both Georgie and Katie looked at him and stuck their tongues out. "Jealous much!"
The kids spent their first days back sharing stories from fall break with all their friends. Maddie was especially excited about her Liberty work she had done with her mom and was convincing some of her friends to come to the ranch so she could show them. It seemed there were a lot of kids interested and within the first week, a couple came over with their horses. Amy and Georgie watched her in action and were impressed with how fast she had grasped it and even more how she could show others. The University had recently called to possibly do another Lecture this semester and Georgie had an idea. Why don't we step away from the academic/medical side of what we do and demonstrate Liberty work. The staff loved the join up process and a bonus could be that we include Maddie and Katie who was also adept at it." Amy looked at her and smiled, "I think that is a great idea and is pretty easy to pull off. Ty and I are both really busy and really were considering telling them we may have to wait for spring. Let's talk to Ty and we will make a decision. We will also have to check with Dr. Molder to make sure he is on board." They parted ways as Amy went back to the office to see Ty and Steven looking intently at the monitor and some x-rays. He smiled, "Hey Ames can you look at this." Steven smiled oddly as he stepped away and headed out the door. Amy went to sit on Ty's lap. When he opened the laptop Amy expected to see some notes on a horse but instead she saw an advertisement for a ski resort in the mountains near Banff. They had been there several times over the years and it was one of their favorite places. She looked at him furrowing her brow, "Why is this open? I thought you wanted to talk about a horse." Ty smiled, "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go here for our Anniversary. I know we generally don't do anything to big since it is over the holidays but since you still owe me a night alone after last week, I am inviting you." She looked at him and smiled, "Hmm let's see a weekend away with no kids, no work, nothing but time with a very handsome man." He continued, "I was thinking the weekend after Thanksgiving, I am sure the kids could find something to do." A small tear formed in the corner of her eye along with a huge smile. She smothered Ty in a hug and whispered seductively, "I plan to definitely reward you completely that weekend, I accept."
Amy was in the office with Katie and Georgie looking over the horses and deciding who would be assigned to them. They were laughing a bit when a knock came from the door. Katie got up to open as few people knocked on the door. To their surprise Christine, the producer of Good Morning Calgary happily said hello. Amy stood and greeted her asking, "Hello, how are you. I'm sorry, did I know you were coming?" She smiled, "Well I kind of just came by. Alex and Sam have not stop talking about the event we covered for kids with special needs at you ranch. We have been trying to set a date and get with you but it is the busy season. Well an interview tomorrow had to back out and we have an open slot. Would you be open to bringing your husband and daughter to the show for a live interview. I know it is last minute but we hope you can. Alex and Sam are really excited about it and between you and me the person who cancelled wasn't that exciting." As she finished, Ty came barging into the room, "Amy why is there a Good Moring Calgary van in front of the house?" He looked up a little embarrassed as Amy laughed, "Christine, you remember Ty, my husband." The two women laughed as Ty blushed in embarrassment. Amy continued, "So, Dr. Borden you busy tomorrow morning?" Christine spent the next few minutes talking about the plan for tomorrow. She made the offer for all the kids to come but Amy and Ty really didn't want to take them all out of school since they just got back from break. Amy spoke up, "I think we will just have Maddie come, but what about inviting Gwen, Syvia, Trudy and their moms. Remember Trudy's mom who was the one who brought this event to your attention." Christine smiled, "That is an amazing idea, can you get with them?" Amy smiled, the wheels in her head turning. "Of course, I will call this afternoon. We will bring them all in our big SUV and see you in the morning bright and early." At dinner they broke the news to Maddie and the rest of the kids. Everyone was excited, especially for their little sister. JT spoke up, "That's awesome Mads, are you sure you don't want your really cute little brother with you?" Maddie smiled, "That would be cool but what would your friends do without you at school." Everyone laughed and Amy told Maddie that they had already spoken to Gwen, Sylvia and Trudy's moms. They would be at the ranch at 7:00am sharp and they would all would go to the studio together. They were going to be the last story around 9:30, so they would have plenty of time. Also Christine assured them they would have a full breakfast for everyone. Also as a surprise the mothers decided to take the girls out to lunch in Calgary and just miss the whole day. The school had no issues so everything was ready to go for the big day.
In the morning Maddie woke up early getting ready for her big day. Amy and Ty also were up getting ready. Amy yawned as she was brushing her hair as Ty laughed, "Tired babe, you know we could have gone to bed earlier. But I understand this is hard to resist," as his move his hands down his boxer clad body. She looked over and smiled, "Well I have to admit, I might be a little tired but it was worth it for sure. Good thing is the makeup people will take care of any issues. And if you don't get dressed, we will be late and Maddie will explode." They walked down the steps to an anxious daughter as she huffed, "I was one minute from knocking on your door, the others will be her soon." They laughed as Ty poured them a cup of coffee. Lyndy and Wyatt came down as Amy had asked them to get breakfast for the other kids and make sure the all got on the bus. Jenn Stillman was picking up JT since Maddie wasn't with him on the bus to make sure he got to school Ok. Maddie was staring out the window when she announced, "They're here." The girls and moms came into the house, refilled their coffees and headed out to Calgary. As they walked in the girts will still bubbling about the interview were met by Christine and a few other people. Christine ushered them to the room where breakfast was and they snacked on the food. Alex snuck in while on a break to say hello, "Amy, Ty it is great to see you. Thank you all for doing this, you saved the day." She headed back to set and the group was moved into makeup. The girls were in heaven and the makeup team worked on them. The mothers were next and it was fun as their daughters watched. Finally Ty was in the chair as all 8 of them looked on. The lead makeup person laughed, "Dr. Borden, you are quite a lucky man being here with the 8 beautiful women." He blushed as Amy laughed, "I personally feel like the lucky one, he is pretty good looking." One of the younger makeup people smiled and whispered, "I'll say." All the girls giggled as it was a little louder that the embarrassed girl wanted. She immediately apologized, "Dr. and Mrs. Borden, I am sorry that was inappropriate. Trudy's mom laughed, "Well maybe but he is hot Amy." Trudy smacked her mom as all of them laughed and giggled. Christine came in and ushered them to set. They had a few minutes as Alex and Sam went over a few things. Amy and Ty sat with Maddie and Gwen in the front and the others sat behind them on taller chairs. As they sat, the cue came and the interview started.
Alex smiled, "Welcome back, we are delighted to have a group of people this morning that should definitely bring a lot of good feeling to all of us. We would like to welcome back some friends of Good Morning Calgary back to the studio. Amy and Ty Borden it is so good to see you." Amy and Ty smiled as Amy spoke up, "Alex and Sam it is a pleasure to be back, we are really excited as are the folks we brought along with us." Sam stepped in talking to the camera and a rather large group up staff behind the camera line. It seemed this story had stirred a lot of interest with the station. Once the interview as announce the calls increased dramatically and viewership was expected to spike. "Well Amy and Ty it is our pleasure today to follow up in a story we covered a few weeks ago. The amazing team at the Heartland Equestrian Expereince, recently held an event that continued to show their commitment to our city, area and province. Let's review the event and our coverage from it." Meanwhile at all kids three schools, TV's were set up so the interview could be viewed by not only the Borden kids but all of the kids who were a part of the event. JT was overwhelmed with the attention, as he smiled broadly seeing his mom, dad and sister on TV. At the middle school, Annie and Addie along with their classmates were brought into the auditorium so everyone could watch. Many of the kids had knew children who were a part of the event and were interested in the interview. Annie and Addie stayed by their friends as they were overwhelmed with the attention but so proud of their parents and sister. At the high school, the interview was during a class that Wyatt and Lyndy had together, so the TV was on and the class was excitedly watching for the interview to come on. Several of the administrative staff including the principal and superintendent were there as well. Wyatt grabbed Lyndy's hand under the table as the interview started. Back at Heartland, The Miracle Ranch, Maggie's, the Vet Clinic and Fairfield, TVs were on everywhere. For 15 minutes basically everything shut down. As Sam ended the review of the event Alex moved too their guest. Amy and Ty as we shared, this was an amazing event and activities. Tell us, how did this idea come about." Ty smiled, "Well Alex and Sam I think you need to talk to the person who came up with the idea and also sold the idea that is should be a part of our Company Picnic and Rodeo." Sam smiled, "Well let me guess you mean the young lady sitting between you, Maddie spill the beans."
Maddie smiled uncharacteristically shy. "Well ma'am, I was preparing with my sister for the Fall Finale and my friends, Gwen, Sylvia and Trudy were helping me. They took turns because they really like to jump and were all getting good. It occurred to me that is was unfair the they couldn't compete so I thought maybe we could hold a competition for them and their other friends who don't have this opportunity." Maddie leaned forward, "I mean that is not fair. So I talked to my mom and dad and they thought it was a great idea and my mom thought we could do it the morning of our fall company picnic and staff rodeo." Alex smiled, "Well I understand you won that competition, right?" Maddie blushed and continued, "Thanks you but I would give that up if we would realize that Gwen, Sylvia, Trudy and other children who are my friends deserve a chance to compete as well." The room was deathly silent as a tear formed in Amy's eyes and Sam finally composed herself to respond. "Well Maddie, I have to say you are a remarkable young lady and mature beyond your years. In my life I have never heard such an unselfish statement and I agree completely, we all agree." Alex continued, "So girls tell us about the event." Gwen immediately spoke up being the most confident of the trio, "Ma'am it was the best event ever. We all felt like we were in a real competition and we all love Maddie and her family for everything they did for us. We were each announced and treated so well. We all received first place," As she held up her ribbon along with Sylvia and Trudy. Sam asked, "So Trudy and Syliva did you enjoy it also?" Too embarrassed to speak each of them smiled and shook their heads in agreement. Maddie spoke up holding Gwen's hand, "I just want to say, it was a real competition and one that we plan to host every year moving forward. Also my sisters and me are committed to continue to work with Gwen, Sylvia, Trudy and any other kid who wants to learn how to jump. Next year we hope to double the competitors." After smiles from everyone, Trudy's mom politely spoke up. I just wanted to remind everyone of what I said when I was on your show after the event. This family and this company went out of their way to have all of us feel welcomed. Lisa Stillman, the President of the Board of Directors invited all of us to stay for the company picnic and staff rodeo. We were treated like family and every member of that Board and others took time to say hello and welcome us. I enjoy where I work but I have to say the staff at their company are amazing and truly considered part of the family. I can't think of a better place to work." Alex and Sam smiled as Alex spoke up, "Well as always it has been great to see you all and hear about this event. Maddie, Gwen, Sylvia and Trudy you are an exceptional young women and your parents should be very proud of you. Maddie let us know the date and time and we will both be there to volunteer if needed. Amy and Ty, as always thank you for allowing us to be a part of the amazing things you do as an organization and as parents. We can't wait to hear about your next exciting activity." Ty smile and spoke up, "Alex and Sam we do have to share a special hello from our children. Lyndy, Wyatt, Addie, Annie and JT are all watching now so I thought we would mention that they were 100% in with Maddie on this. I expect right now they are all smiling as they watch this." They laughed thanked everyone and broke for commercial.
The group hung around for the end of the show as Alex and Sam wanted to meet with them informally after the show ended. As they waited, the staff come by to say hello and congratulate them on a great segment. Christine and the station leadership also dropped by to thank them. Christine laughed, "Our ratings have went through the roof so on behalf of the team here, thanks again." Amy followed up, "Thanks you for the opportunity to share the event with your audience. We are committed to this long term." As she finished, Alex and Sam entered as Sam responded, "As are we. We were serious, moving forward we want to commit our support. We want to be your first corporate sponsor and I can guarantee that the two of us and our families will be there to help, whatever you need. I don't know about Alex but I have mucked a stall or two in my day so anything you need." Christine squirmed, "I would like to help but horse poop may be a little much." Gwen laughed, "Don't worry, I can teach you, it is fun." The whole room laughed as everyone said their goodbyes and the Miracle Ranch group headed out for their lunch. The news director overheard them and recommended the Spot-On Kitchen and in fact he would call ahead and get them a table for 9. He laughed, "I kind of know the manager, she is my wife." Amy thanked them and the group headed out. The car was full of happy chatter as Amy and Ty held each other's hand. Sylvia's mom laughed from the seat behind them, "Well Maddie look at your parents, you are right, they really do like each other." Maddie huffed, "Mom and Dad really?" They pulled up to the valet at the restaurant and a smartly dressed women approached them. "Hello Borden party, my husband called and we have a table all ready for you. And before you say anything lunch is on the station." Lunch was a lot of fun. The adults sat at one end of the table and the girls at the other. The waitress was very good treating the girls like adults. This kids were loving every minute of the extra attention and were laughing and joking with her. Ty looked over to Maddie, "What's going on down there Mads?" She laughed, "Oh nothing daddy but the waitress thinks you are good looking." Amy and the other mother's laughed as Trudy's mom spoke up, "Well Amy I think you agree, don't you. Amy smiled, "The cutest." Ty sat speechless as they enjoyed a lunch of burgers, salads and fries. The girls were treated with Ice cream for desert and a pouting Ty got some too. As they got ready to leave they thanked the manager and their waitress. The girls were starting to wind down and the ride back was relatively quiet. At the Ranch everyone said their goodbyes and tired Maddie went to rest in her room. Amy joined her as Ty went to check on a surgery that had happened earlier. As Amy laid next to her daughter she smiled and whispered, "Dad and I are so proud of you and love you forever."
The following week the accolades continued to come in. Support for the competition came from numerous special needs groups, businesses and provincial government. The Calgary Stampede facility offered to host the next event free of charge. It seemed that the family would have to look through all the offers of help as they moved forward. Bottom line, next year's competition would be a pretty impressive event. There were interesting requests from several of them for an official name of the competition. After a brief family discussion at dinner at the end of the week, Maddie suggested a name, The Marion Fleming Special Kids Jumping Competition. The table got quiet and Amy tearfully smiled, "Honey I think that is a great idea, I think grandma would be so proud and I bet GG will be really happy." After the kids were settled as Ty sat in bed looking over all of the offers for help so they could run it by the Board at the upcoming meeting. Amy was brushing her hair and humming to herself. Ty couldn't help but stare at her and the song even made him more driven to her. He quietly snuck over and placed his hands on her shoulders. She smiled, "Hey there cutey." He rolled his eyes as since the lunch she had been calling him that. He smiled, "What song is that?" It was one of my grandma's that my mom use to sing to me. My mom didn't sing a lot but she really had a beautiful voice." She sat for a minute as her shoulders dropped. Ty knew she was thinking about her mom. It had been over 20 years but she still missed her. Ty helped her up and pulled her into his arms for a comforting hug and whispered, "Kind of cool what Maddie's suggestion was, hey." She smile and whispered softly, "Yea it's really nice." He sat he back down and kneeled in front of her. "Ok Ames what is on your mind?" She began to mist up, "I don't know, it's just I still miss her and when Maddie said we should name it after her it just brought back her memory for me. When I see the girls, especially Katie and Lyndy, I see her and hear her voice." Ty knew he needed to try to help his wife but not diminish her memory. "Well I guess it is different for me, I never met her but I get to see her every day." Amy looked a little confused but looked into his eyes, "I don't understand, you see her?" Well every time I look at Lyndy and Katie I see what Marion looked like. And with you, Amy you show me every day who your mom was. That person that took a chance on a stupid juvenile delinquent and gave him an opportunity. Amy I owe her everything and being married to you reminds me of that every day. I never met her but I love her deeply and consider her my mother too." He hesitated while Amy stood and hugged him tightly, "Thank you Ty you don't know what that means to me." She giggled, "And I bet she thinks you are cute too." He kissed her deeply as they stumbled over to their bed. Tonight he would focus his love on her needs, letting her know how much she meant to him. As they began to fall asleep, Amy was completely satisfied whispering in his ear, "That was mind blowing Ty… you are definitely a cutie with benefits."
Dr. Molder from the University Equine Program was more than happy with the approach for the lecture that Amy wanted to take. They began to promote the Liberty exhibition and the response was overwhelming. The Borden family was all over the internet and the thought of Amy, Georgie, Katie and Maddie putting on a Liberty exhibition was very popular. Dean Wortham called Ty and Amy happy that they were going to do a fall session as he knew they were really busy. He also mentioned that several of his peers throughout western Canada asked to send teams from their equine programs. It seemed that more and more universities and colleges were incorporating non-medical methodology in their teaching. And the Miracle Ranch team were considered one of the top authorities on it. After school, Amy and Ty met with Georgie, Katie and Maddie with their plan for the exhibition. It would be held I the schools indoor arena since it held the most people. They had been given plenty of tickets for friends and family and as expected most were coming. Maddie had an idea. "What if all four of us do a session together. It would be cool to show the crowd that the horses can concentrate even with other horses in the ring." Georgie and Katie thought it was a great idea but Amy recommended that they practice before they go to the University on Saturday. The agreed and set some time after the kids got home from school. As it got closer to the event the four Liberty women had worked together several times and had some surprises for the attendees.
The Liberty exhibition was set for a Saturday so the out-of-town schools and Jumping clubs, some as far away as Ontario could fly on Friday and head back on Sunday. The four of them had fine-tuned their finale performance and were ready to go. The morning of the event Amy and Ty had breakfast for all of the people going early. All of the Borden girls, less, JT who was spending the night with Brey and Jax as Ben and Jenn Stillman would bring him to the show. Katie, Clay, Wyatt and Georgie were there as well. Georgie had trailered Phoenix and Pal. Ty had Blaze, Triumph and Mystic ready. Phoenix was no longer jumping but with Liberty he was good to go. After a quick breakfast they loaded up and headed over. The rest of the family and friends numbering a little over 40 would get there in time to get to their seats. The arena they were in held over 5000 people and the University seemed to think it would be close to capacity. It seemed coming to see the semester lecture and clinics from the Heartland Equestrian Expereince had become the place to be. When they arrived, Clay, Wyatt and Katie unloaded the horses and got them into a small paddock outside the arena. Lyndy, Maddie, Annie and Addie did some last-minute horse prepping for the show. The horses were being treated like royalty and loving the attention. Amy, Ty and Georgie met with Dr. Molder and other staff member to look over the arena and talk about the program. A handout had been put together with the names of the four of them, the horses and a description of what Liberty work was and how it was an extension of join up. They planned was to use videos to show join up and then do the Liberty sessions live. After the walkthrough and meeting they went back to the rest of the group to go over the session again so everyone knew what to do. The crowd started filling up the stands and Maddie looked out with wide eyes, "Mom there are a lot of people out there, I hope I don't mess up." She smiled pulling her in for a hug. "Well there are two things I suggest. First just have fun. Second it is just you and Mystic and no one else. You two are amazing together and are going to do awesome. Georgie and I will have headband microphones on and talking throughout, you and Katie can just do your thing." Maddie smiled and went to look for her friends, especially Ronin who came with Gwen and her parents.
About 5 minutes before the start Amy, Georgie, Katie and Maddie walked out with their horses deck out in their Miracle Ranch gear. Triumph was there for something they would be doing later. As they came out in view the crowd began to get restless. The family and friends section hooted and hollered at them as they came to the center of the arena. Dr. Molder walked out and began the program, welcoming the crowd and introducing the four ladies and their horses. Then Lisa came out to say a few words, "Good day, my name is Lisa Stillman and I am the Board Director for the Heartland Equestrian Expereince. These four amazing ladies are her to show you something that is beyond special. Horse care is much more than medical treatments, it is about bonding with your horse and understanding them. What you will see today is the ultimate example of the intimate bond of a horse and it's rider. Enjoy" The crowd erupted as Amy and Georgie came up front and center. Amy began to speak, "Thank you Dr. Molder and Lisa for your kind words. Hi, I am Amy Borden and as the Dr. said I have with me my nieces and sisters, Georgie Weber and Katie Foster, along with my youngest daughter Maddie Borden. Today we are going to share with you a horse bonding process called Liberty. Liberty training was started years ago in the age of the conquistadors. Georgie and I have been using this for many years, Katie since she was around 13 and my 10-year-old daughter Maddie is new to it, just using it for a few weeks. Our hope is to show you that at any age, Liberty can be successfully done with any horse and any rider." Georgie took over. "Amy introduced me to Liberty right after my first Fall Finale win, I had been training so much that I just wanted to have some fun. Phoenix and I were as close as ever but doing Liberty with him made out bond complete. I am confident that my Olympic success was related to building a stronger bond with my horse through Liberty work." The audience clapped and chanted Canada in recognition of her accomplishments. As the crowd settled, both Amy and Georgie reviewed the join up process referring to the video screen. On it were several join up sessions they both had did. Then Amy spoke up, "Now my daughter Maddie and her horse Mystic will demonstrate the join up process. They have a strong bond and recently were Fall Finale Champions." The crowd again applauded. Maddie began the join up as Amy describe what was happening. The crowd sat in amazement watching a four-and-a-half-foot girl control a 15+ hand horse. She kept him moving and within about 15 minutes he started to chew and roll his head toward her. She stopped, slowly walking away and waited as Mystic came to her and nuzzled her shoulder to get her treat. Amy gleamed, "Everyone that is join up."
The crowd erupted and Maddie smile broadly. Georgie stepped up and continued, "Now that you have seen an amazing join up, Amy Borden, The Miracle Girl will demonstrate Liberty with her horse Blaze. The crowd was mesmerized as Amy and Blaze danced as he shadowed her moves. The horse spun around and reared in command. His responses to her were instant and completely aligned like a well-designed dance routine. Amy talked through her movements and the audience watched in awe. As she completed the session Amy and Blaze both took a bow to a resounding applause. She smiled and thanked the crowd. She spoke up again, "A key to a successful Liberty session with your house is to be connected as if nothing else is around you. So Georgie, Katie and Maddie are going to do session with their horses at the same time. Watch how their horses are completely focused on them. Ladies begin." In unison the three riders began dancing with their horse. Each routine was different, since with Liberty it was just a random interaction with moves as they happened. Amy detailed each one of their approaches and pointed out how they were so focused on each other and nothing else. She said, "I am going to walk Blaze in front of all three of them and as you will see there will not waiver." As she haltered Blaze along the rail not one of the horses broke from their rider and their routine. As promised all three sessions were unaffected. The crowd cheered and applauded as Georgie, Katie and Maddie came to a close in a group bow. As they settled, Amy spoke up again. "So, lets allow the horses to rest and the four of us will take some questions." After some very pointed question the last segment was ready to begin. Amy set it up, basically the 4 women would bring their horses out including Triumph. Amy smiled, "Now sit back and enjoy." All four of them raised their liberty poles in unison. Basically they mimicked each other's movement, like a line dance. What happened next was beyond astonishing. The horses joined in synchronized movements turning, bobbing their heads and rearing up in unison. Jack laughed, Thye look like the Rockettes." As they came to a close, they all turned at once standing between the horses. On cue, they and their horses bowed together. The crowd erupted in a frenzied applause and cheers. The family section was the loudest as they screamed in joy. They had all witnessed both join up and Liberty but had never seen anything like that. As things settled, Amy again thanked the University, Lisa and the Board and finally her family. Dr. Molder, Dean Worthan and several of the staff came over to thank them all again for the outstanding demonstration. As things settled the horses were gathered up and the family headed home. Amy smiled at Ty as the session went even better that expected. Ty glanced over and noticed a tear in the corner of her eye.
