Chapter One Hundred-Six

Progress, A Time To Help

A/N – Well I hope you enjoyed my little detour that I went on. I believe that for some, the loss of a parent or sibling in a tragic manor stays within your subconscious and with Amy I wanted to bring that to the forefront. In many cases there is no one to help and you are all alone. In my story there are many ready to help Amy and my plan was to elaborate on that. Let me know what you think. We are moving into the holiday season, which as always fun to talk about. As I have hinted I have several interesting storylines to work through so we shall see where that takes us. To be forewarned, one of them will be a little disturbing but an area I feel needs to be addressed. Some birthdays, visitors, anniversaries and challenges are forthcoming. Still don't know where they are all going but that is where the fun is. Thanks for continuing the great feedback, keep it coming my way. Mature Content Enjoy!

It was a few weeks until Thanksgiving and the start to the week. Amy and Ty sat at their desk sorting through their email and schedules. Amy and Georgie were meeting shortly to lay out the schedule until the holiday and the limited schedule for the holiday week, especially since Amy and Ty would be gone for their anniversary trip. Ty had Steven coming to the office a little later and would be doing a Zoom meeting with the vet team to go over the same time frame but to also review past and upcoming surgeries. They smiled back and forth as they went about their business, the date night still on both of their minds. Since the dinner and night together Amy had been content and felt so loved by her husband and kids. She met with Celene and she was pleased with her current state of dealing and commented, "That man of yours is something else. If I were single I gotta tell you.." They laughed and called Maryanne to catch up. She felt the one session was good enough but kept the door open if needed. Others had noted Amy's positive change in demeanor and discreetly checked in with Ty and Lyndy to ask how she was doing. The kids also continued to shower her with attention and love. Amy felt blessed that so many people cared for her. They continued working a little bit longer when all of a sudden, Amy screeched with joy. Panicking, Ty went to her looking at his wife who was in tears, "Amy what's wrong, why are you crying?" As he got to her the door swung open and Georgie and Caleb came in as they heard th scream as well. Amy lunged into Ty's arms crying what he soon found to be tears of joy. Blubbering a little she showed him the email she had received. Ty read it as Georgie looked over his shoulder and Caleb held onto his sniffling friend. As they read it their smiles grew and Georgie lunged to Amy for a tight hug. Caleb sat in confusion and ask, "Dude, what the heck is up?" Ty smiled and held his wife's hand as she continued to hug Georgie. "Well Amy got an email from England. Soraya, Dillon and the kids are moving back to Canada. She has already enrolled the kids in school and they will start after the new year. Dillon has found a job and Soraya plan to open up a practice here." After his comments Amy finally composed herself, "I can't believe it, Soraya is moving back, that is so amazing. Acting like Lou a bit she blabbered running out of the office, "I have to call her like right now." Georgie wiped tears from her eyes, Ty smiled broadly and Caleb just shrugged his shoulders.

Ty gave her a moment but walked out of the see an animated Amy on the phone in the round pen across from the barn. She was dancing around, talking with her arms and laughing a lot. He heard "I can't believe it, that soon and wait till I tell everyone." After another few minutes, she hung up saw Ty and came running into his arms, knocking them both on the ground. She was hugging and kissing him as some of the ranch hands and Caleb looked on. Caleb laughed, "That woman is crazy." Once they recovered Amy and Ty went back into the office. Ty took his hyped-up wife and had her sit on his lap. "Ok, slow down and tell me what's up." Amy took a deep breath, "Well Dillon actually started talking about moving back right after Maggie passed away. He knows that Soraya was homesick but since she had to take care of her all those years her focus was on her wellbeing and raising the kids. Ty, she apologized for not visiting in a while and not calling as much. It seems that she had to cut back her hours because her mom needed full time care. Dillon took on a little extra work but money was tight and travel was a definite no." She sadly continued, "Ty I feel terrible, I should have been there for her, but I never knew." She leaned into his shoulder as he spoke to her softly. "Ames, if you would have known you would have been there but some people just like to not bother others. I am sure she is not upset at all." She smiled, "I know but the best thing is that they are moving back. Dillon already has a job at Hudson Hospital as a Physical Therapist and the kids are actually excited about moving here. Seems the school they are at is very formal and they, according to Soraya are kind of not. And they love horses. They will be moving over the holidays so they kids can get in school and Dillon can start his new job after the first of the year. Soraya said that she wants to bring Maggie's ashes back home to." He smiled warmly, "That would be nice. What is Soraya going to do?" Well she want to start her own practice. I actually told her that I need to have her meet Celene and maybe she can give her some insight. They haven't found a place to stay yet so I kind of offered for them to stay at Fairfield, I have to call Lisa and Jenn." She jumped up and Ty grabbed her, "Slow down there horsey girl we have plenty of time. I bet you are already thinking about horses for them." She smiled, looked into his eyes and kissed him deeply. "I love you Dr. Borden."

Word spread quickly about the return of Soraya and her family. Without hesitation, Jenn and Lisa looked at the schedule and blocked out 3 months of time for the family suite. It would give them a nice place to stay as they looked for their own place. Amy was over at Heartland talking to Lou, Lisa and Jack when Soraya called. She was overwhelmed with their generosity and said it wasn't necessary. Jack grabbed the phone from Amy and spoke to her, "Soraya, it's Jack, of course you will stay with us at Fairfield. You are family as well and your family. In fact I expect you to come to dinner at Heartland as soon as you get settled, I won't take no for an answer." He listened as Soraya spoke to him. Everyone noticed his eyes begin to mist up. "Well that is very nice, Soraya, thank you." He handed the phone back to Amy and she stepped out. Lisa put her hand on Jack shoulder, "Jack are you Ok." He smiled, "I am good, I just really missed her and cant; wait for her to be back home." Ty and Amy were excited waiting for the kids to get home. As each of them arrived they hugged them and told them there was something they wanted to tell them. Lyndy looked at her mom, "What's up with you mom, you are like overly happy." Amy smiled and hugged her intuitive daughter, "You'll find out at dinner, make sure they all get their homework done." As the went into the house she grabbed Ty's arm, "Time for some cuddling, we have an hourish." He followed her as they discretely headed up to their room. As the door closed they embraced and kissed each other with a purpose in mind. They headed to the bed discarding clothes as they went. By the time they made it there was very little left to remove and they helped each other out of quickly. Ty immediately got the first moves in moving his lips and hands up and down her body. With kids downstairs she forced herself to control her moans as she arched her back. His lips and tongue were charging her senses and Ty was focused on pleasing her. She shook as an orgasm rocked her body, barely able to catch her breath. She recovered and returned the foreplay assault to her man. She moved from his neck to his chest, abdomen and below. He shuttered when she pleased him like only she could. As she stroked him he moaned over and over. He rolled her over and entered her aggressively, which was welcomed happily by his lover. Her eyes grew wide as she looked deeply into his beautiful green eyes. He had his eyes closed and she whispered, "Ty, see me." He looked at her blues eyes and smiled as their movement increased with intensity. They knew they were getting close and focused on pleasing each other. Their apex of love exploded as they each moaned and whispered I love yous. They settled and hugged tightly, the warmth of their bodies feeling wonderful. Ty looked at the clock and his shoulders dropped. "We need to go but this will continue later my love." She reached down and grabbed his manhood gently, "You can count on it."

Lucky for them the girls were out with the horses and only Wyatt and JT were in the living room watching TV. The snuck into the kitchen and began warming up the premade dinner Amy had made. After a few minutes, Ty calmly walked out and asked them to get the girls for dinner. Amy watched them head across the yard and jumped up into her husband's arms, straddling him at the waist. They kissed deeply keeping and ear out for the kids. All of a sudden they heard Addie's voice as she had been in her room, "Hey mom, is it time for…" She screamed, "Oh my god what are you doing. I am going to be scarred for the rest of my life. I mean I know you guys do stuff but to see it, I think I am going to puke." As she almost hyperventilated, Amy gathered herself and went to her pulling her in, "Adds, we are sorry, we thought you were in the barn with the others." She settled, "Well I guess it's better that you guys aren't hitting each other like..." She stopped her comment, putting her head down and Ty looked alarmed, "Like who Addie, do you know something you want to talk about. Addie broke down and began to cry. They decided to take her into the den. On the way Ty saw Lyndy and looked at her. She knew what the look was and shuffled the kids to the kitchen. "Hey guys let's get the table set, Wyatt can you help me with the food." Amy and Ty sat Addie down between them as they had never seen their normally together daughter this way. Amy clutched her hand, "Honey talk to us, please." Addie took a breath, "Today at lunch we were joking about how weird our parents were. Everybody talked about how you guys are always holding hands and kissing. We were all laughing but I saw Bella whispering to Maya and she was crying. They got up and left and no one was really paying attention. Later during recess I went over to Bella, who was sitting by herself. I had to find out what was wrong so I asked." Amy smiled realizing that Addie was a special kid and cared so much for others. "Mom, she said that her dad lost his job a while back and has been really depressed. Mom, he hit Bella more than once and has been hitting her mom even more. I was shocked and hugged her. Mom we have to help her. She is really scared and has no other family, no one to talk to." Ty and Amy took a moment to console their daughter. Ty finally spoke up, "Well honey I agree that we need to help her, but she needs to want us too. Do you think you could ask them over for lunch Saturday?" Addie thought, "I think so, maybe I can ask them to go on a trail rid with Annie, Jeremy, Desi and I. We haven't done one in a while. Let's have lunch and maybe she will open up?" Amy smiled, "Ok set it up and Dad and I will be here. If she agrees we can talk to her about what she wants."

At dinner, despite the conversation with Addie the family was happily talking about their lives. Wyatt boast, "I am becoming an excellent driver, right Ty?" Ty took a second, "Well you are doing better and I think you will be ready." Amy watched as Lyndy grabbed his arm and whispered something to him. She spoke up, "Lyndy are you excited?" She smiled, "For sure, I can't wait for our first car date." Ty looked at her fatherly, "Well honey let's just make sure he passes and then we can talk about a car date." Maddie laughed, "Nice, Lyndy gets shot down." JT looked sternly at her, "Maddie, it is not nice to make fun of them, it is mean." Everyone smiled a little as he continued, "Anyway Wyatt already promised to take me anywhere I need to!" Everyone burst out laughing. Annie looked at her mom, "So mom anything going on with you?" Sensing she knew already she spoke up, "Well I do have some very good news. My best friend ever is coming back to live in the area. She lives in England with her husband and two daughters. They are moving back over Christmas so the kids can start school." Before she continued, Lyndy asked, "Mom do you mean Soraya?" She smiled again, "Yes the last time she was here you were like 5 and the twins were under 3. She is really excited and so am I. And the best it she has two daughters, Camila, who is 13 and Caroline, who is 10. They are excited to be moving here but it will definitely be new to them. Maddie, Addie and Annie, I hope you can help them when they get here. Soraya, is looking forward for them to meet you." The girls were giddy and excited to meet them and their friends. JT was quiet focusing on his dinner. After a few minutes, he loudly put his fork on his plate catching everyone's attention. Addie laughed, "JT is something wrong." He looked up with a stern face. "Two more girls, dad I can't take it anymore. When will it stop." Wyatt took his hand and spoke, "JT do you love your mom?" He looked at him confused, "Well, yes I do." Wyatt continued, "Do you love Lyndy, Maddie, Annie, Addie, Katie, Georgie, Lou and your grandmas?" JT again was confused and shook his head yes. Wyatt looked at him very seriously, "Well they love you too, very, very much. We are pretty lucky to have such amazing women, who love us." Lyndy was grabbing his hand tightly under the table. JT thought for a second, "OK I get it girls are Ok, I am sorry you guys. I just hope these girls are cool." The table laughed and tickled him relentlessly until Wyatt protected him. Amy had been feeling great lately and with Soraya coming home as well as an amazing family she felt as content as she ever had been.

The family was getting ready to the Thanksgiving break and a lot of time with family. Max and Lilly had called to say that this year they would come up for Thanksgiving and spend Christmas in Colorado with Max's family. They called Ty and the family on a zoom call after dinner so they could say hello to everyone. The conversation led to the fact that Amy's friend Soraya, her husband and two daughters were moving back to Canada. Lilly smiled, "Amy isn't that the friend of yours I met years ago? Amy smiled, "Yes we grew up as best friends and she moved to London for college and never came back. Ty and I are really excited." Lilly added, "When are they coming and do they have a place to stay." Amy answered, "They are going to stay at Fairfield and will be coming over the Christmas holiday so the kids can get into school." Max, pondered something and spoke up. "Well we want them to stay at our cottage. We won't need it, it is closer to you and has 3 bedrooms. No arguments, we will get with Jenn and set it up. And it is on us. They have a lot to do and the last thing they need is to worry about a place to stay." During the call Ty noticed that his mom seemed a little tired and looked as though she had lost weight. His gut told him he needed to call back later. In bed that night Amy noticed he seemed in deep in thought. She smiled as she cuddled into him, "I guess you saw it too?" He answered, "Saw what? She continued, "Your mom, she looked tired and her face was a little drawn. I think we need to call her in the morning. He sighed as his shoulders relaxed and he kissed her forehead. "You Mrs. Borden are something else. I am worried, I don't believe she has reverted to her past, I am confident of that. But something is not right. I wonder if this is why they are coming to Thanksgiving this year?" Amy hugged her husband and whispered. "Well let's hope she is Ok, but we will be there for her." They were startled when they heard a knock at the door. They were decent but put robes on anyway. Lyndy called from outside the door, "Mom, dad, I am sorry can I come in." They opened the door and noticed a distraught daughter who immediately hugged them. Amy looked at her, "Honey, what's wrong, did you and Wyatt have a fight." She smiled, "No we are good, I am just worried. Did you see Grandma, she didn't look well at all. Wyatt noticed it too. Do you know anything?" Ty hugged her tighter as a tear came to his eye. "We saw it too Lyndy. We are going to call her tomorrow to try to find out. Whatever it is we will be there for her, no matter what." She smiled, Please tell her that we all love her very much." Ty and Amy smiled as she left. They got back into bed and smiled. No words were needed as they fell into a restless sleep.

At breakfast, the next morning the family was in a good mood. Amy glanced at Lyndy and smiled at her reassuringly. Addie and Annie asked if they could talk to them before the left. After Maddie and TJ got on the bus, Ty and Amy recommended that they could take the twins to school. Lyndy was in the loop so she hugged them both before they left. On the drive, Addie opened up after they got on their way, "Mom, we have been talking to Bella and I think we have her convinced to come here with Maya on Saturday for a ride. But mom can you ride with us too, even you dad. Desi and Jeremy aren't coming ether. Ty spoke up, "I have a better idea, "A ride with just us may raise some flags. Can we get them to spend the night on Friday and they we can talk on Saturday. We can have Lyndy and Wyatt keep Maddie and JT occupied. I figure that Lyndy's knows." Addie smiled, "Yea we kind of asked her advice. Let me talk to them today and see if they can come over. We can say we have a project to work on or something." Annie laughed meekly, "Well at least it will give Bella some time away from her dad." Amy looked at her with concern, "Has something else happened?" They were quiet as Annie whispered something to her in their language. Amy interrupted immediately, "Ok you two, enough, Addie talk to us." She got very emotional and Annie grabbed her hand, "The other day we were changing for gym class and noticed some bruises on Bella's leg and backside. I went to get her attention and she snapped back like I was going to hit her and covered up. Mom and dad, I think he is doing more than hitting her. She has become more and more secluded, even Maya has had trouble getting to her. We really need your help, so I hope this works." Ty looked at Amy, "Girls we can't wait for that, I have seen what abuse can turn into, we need to go and talk to her counselor and school authorities now. This can't wait because we are afraid she is in danger." The twins sat silent, understanding but scared that Bella would hate them. Addie muttered, "She is going to hate me, us." Ty continued putting his head down, "Maybe initially she will but I can assure you one day she will see it was the right thing to do." Before they could ask him how he knew Amy spoke up, "Girls just trust your dad and I. Let's head into the office." As they entered first bell had already rung so the halls were empty. Ty walked up and spoke to the receptionist quietly as Amy sat with the girls on either side. She texted Georgie and Steve and told them Ty and her would be unavailable for a while. Addie laughed, "They probably think you guys are fooling around. Amy smiled and pulled them both in. "Well that will be good so we can keep things on the down low." Annie rolled her eyes, "I can't believe you said down low." Ty sat back down as they waited. After a few minutes, the administrator asked them to follow her. They entered a small meeting room and saw the principal, head counselor and the school resource officer.

Addie and Annie's eyes grew wide as they sat down. Amy and Ty clutched their hands and the principal thanked them all for coming in. She began to speak, "Mr. and Mrs. Borden, Annie and Addie I want to make sure that you understand the whatever happens her will held in the highest confidence. Girls coming forward was the right thing to do. I need you to go through everything you know and have seen since this first became known." Addie sighed and began to talk through everything they knew. From the first time they suspected something, talks with Maya and the most recent revelation before gym class. The three of them asked questions to both girls, speaking to them for over an hour. Amy and Ty answered questions about their involvement and the planned intervention. The counselor smiled, "Amy and Ty you should be commended for stepping in." Ty put his head down and opened up about something even his girls didn't know. "Well I have personal experience with what she might be going through. When I was young I was subjected to abuse at many levels and I wish I would have had someone care. Since I didn't I lashed out and ended up in a juvenile program that almost killed me. If it wasn't for Amy's mom I may not be here today." As he stopped Annie hugged him and silently said, 'Daddy." As they settled, The principle spoke up. "Well Ty than you know we need to act immediately. We are going to get Bella down her in an hour or so. Girls I need you to be strong and go back to class and through your normal day. So why don't you head out. Amy and Ty can you stick around for a bit longer." They kissed the girls as the hugs for their dad lasted a little longer. After talking with Ty and Amy and calling Maya's mom the plan was set. Amy and Maya's mom would come back to school before last period. Addie, Annie, Maya and Bella would be called to the office. During the day and arrest warrant would be issued for Bella's dad and her mom would be talked by the Family Abuse Services team for protection. After the school team and a rep from FAS met with Bella and the others, she would be taken to see her mom and could take whomever she wanted to go. Annie and Addie did their best to keep focused during the day especially around Maya and Bella. They were preparing for being there for their friends as Maya would also be affected by this. As Amy and Ty headed home she leaned into him, "This is going to be a hard day. I am so proud of our girls, it took strength to come to us." Ty smiled, "Yes they are something. I will makes sure the other kids are settled since I really don't know when you and the twins will make it home. I'll just tell them you had a meeting to go to with them." She smiled, "And make sure you talk with Lyndy and Wyatt separately, she knows a lot more about this than we think." The rest of the ride home was silent.

Amy and Ty moved on with their day as best they could. They were concerned for Bella, her mom, Maya and the girls. Ty was especially struggling with the situation since it was something that he remembered from his past. Amy met briefly with Georgie and let her know she needed to head out a little before 2:30 and go back to school. Georgie sensed her concerned demeanor and had to ask, "Amy is everything alright, Ty seems off as well are you two alright? Are you having some setbacks after your date and night away? Amy you are so important to me. When Lou was away so much you two were like parents to me, always there for me to talk to, please I want to help." Amy smiled and brought he in for a hug. "Georgie, first Ty and I are good. There is something we are dealing with Addie and Annie. They are fine but need us right now. I can't say anything now but I promise I will tell you when I can. I need you to help Ty out with the other kids when they get home, I am not sure when the three of us will be there. And Georgie, Ty is having some struggles with what is happening, can you get with GG and have him spend some time with him." Georgie shook her head understanding but still was a little confused. Throughout the mid-day when Ty and Amy crossed paths they stopped and spoke quietly kissing each other on the cheek and whispering in each other's ears. On one of their crossing, Amy asked, "Ty I completely forgot, did you call your mom." Ty frowned, "No I completely forgot, I will do it after lunch." Amy hugged him tightly, "Let me know what she says, I know we are a little worried about how she was but I am sure everything is Ok. They had a quick lunch with Georgie and Steven and went to their afternoon task. Ty smiled as he went back into the office to call his mom. He made sure the door was closed and dialed his mom. After a couple of rings, she picked up, "Ty I am glad you called back, how are Amy and the kids?" He smiled, he knew she loved his family and was finally at a place of peace in her life. "Everyone is great mom, Amy and I are as busy as ever. The kids have a lot going on and are all doing great in school. JT is definitely our new comedian and the person who keeps us in line. Maddie is well, Maddie. Lyndy is amazing like her mom and her and Wyatt are great. We definitely keep an eye on that." He chuckled as she laughed, "Well I remember two young kids who, after getting their act together turn out Ok." He continued, "The twins continue to do well and even though they have different interests they still have that twin thing, it's kind of cool." He hesitated pondering on the events of the morning but decided as she continued, "Well I need to let you know something. I know your tone, you are worried about me. I have been feeling a little tired lately so Max convinced me to see a doctor tomorrow. Don't panic honey, whatever is going on I now have an amazing husband and family. I am going to come in a week early for Thanksgiving. Max can't come till the weekend before so I hope that is alright. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing Jack, Lisa, Lou and Casey, oh and you guys. I already spoke to Lisa and I am going to stay at Heartland if that is Ok." Ty hesitated as alarms were going off. "Mom, I have to ask, what do you think is wrong."

As he hung up Ty was happy that she was coming but concerned with why. He also was deeply concerned about the pending results from her doctor visit. His gut was in knots as Amy came by to get something from the office. As soon as she walked in she noticed her distraught husband. She locked the door and went to him, "Ty, what's happened?" He buried his head in her chest as she held him. "I spoke to my mom and we were right she had not been feeling well for a while. She is going to see a doctor tomorrow to have some test run. She kept telling me not to be worried but Amy, I can't get the thought out of my head that something is really wrong. Maybe it's based on my past but I just feel it. She also said she is coming up a week earlier for Thanksgiving to spend some time with Lisa, Casey, Lou and all of us. Amy, why does she want to do that if there isn't something wrong." He tried to catch his breath as Amy looked at him. "Ty, listen to me, maybe your mom just wants to spend more time with us. She loves hanging out with Lisa and Casey also. You know maybe she wants a little extra time to get the place ready for Soraya and her family. Remember when I found the lump on my breast. We panicked at first but then we found out and made a plan to attack the issue." He smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "You're right, she told me she would let me know when she finds anything out. But we need to focus on this afternoon. Are you ready?" She looked at him, "I hope so, if this is true I feel so sorry for Bella but we need to keep our eyes on our girls too. They are so caring and this is going to be hard on them." Ty smiled meekly, "Well I have some experience and between us we will make sure they are Ok." They talked for a little while longer and Amy promised she would drop by before she left for school. Amy arrived back at school a little before 2:30. She went to the office and immediately saw Maya's mom. They were taken into a conference room. Officials from the school, police, Family Services and Child Protective Services were preparing to bring Bella into another conference room. Addie, Annie and Maya soon joined their mothers. Amy and Maya's mom consoled their daughters and told them they would go in after they talked with Bella. They also told them that Bella's mom was on the way as well. Maya asked, "Bella won't have to go back home will she?" Amy spoke up, "We don't know honey but all three of you have understand, anything done will be for her protection."

They were called in and as they entered a distraught Bellaran toward Maya hugging her with all her might. Once things settled, the lead counselor with Bella's permission disclosed what they talked about. Bella sat stoically as she described the level of abuse that she had been subjected to less some of the personal details. She added, "Bella has decided to meet with her mom and to let you know formal charges have been filed and her father is currently being arrested. Since Bella is underage and both parents at this time are incapable to take care of her the standard process is to put Bella in a protective group home. Her mother is not a concern but has some of her own abuse issues to deal with before she can have Bella back in her life." Before she could continue Maya spoke up looking at Bella who was still in her arms, "She can stay with us or the Bordens. There is no way a group home is the right place for her. She needs to be with us." The CPS rep smiled, "Well young lady it seems you and Bella are on the same page. Although a little out of the norm we agree, only if you all agree. It is a big responsibility and you are not obligated." Maya's mom and Amy looked at each other as she spoke. "Amy and I along with our husbands want to do this. These four young ladies are close friends and need each other right now. Amy and I love Bella like our own and will do whatever is needed to help her feel safe." Bella smiled and moved to hug them both. The principal spoke up, "Well we agree and after she meets with her mom you can take her wherever she want to go. Amy, Annie and Addie, would you be able to go to her house to get her things. We will have a police officers and a CPS person go with you" Amy spoke, "Of course, Maya you and you mom let us know when you are heading to your house. We will go there ahead of time and set things up for her." Maya's mom smiled, "I have talked with my husband and he will be there. Amy, can your husband come also, there is some heavy lifting needed and he could use a hand." Amy smiled, "Of course and Bella if it is Ok, can Lyndy, Wyatt and Maddie come to, they can help as well." Bella smiled meekly, "That would be great, thank you. I really appreciate it and maybe we can order pizza and all hang out for a while. Can Annie and Addie spend the night?" Amy and Maya's mom smiled and she answered hugging her, "Of course they can honey." The entire group reviewed the plan and Amy left with the girls to head to Bella's house. The rest of them met with Bella's mom. It went as well as it could as she apologized to her daughter more than once for what she had to witness and be subjected to. She promised her she was getting help and that one day, if she approved they could get back together. At the end of the meeting Bella hugged her mom and told her she was sorry to, wishing she would have been stronger and that she loved her. The meeting ended as well as it could have and Bella headed out with Maya, her mom, her counselor and a CPS rep.

Ty, Lyndy, Wyatt and Maddie met them at Bella's house filling them in on the way with some of the details. Amy and Ty decided that JT was a little too young so he excitedly got to hang with GG with a promise to go to the pond to fish. They headed off to Maya's and met her dad. Wyatt and Ty helped him move some furniture around so Bella could stay in Maya's room. Amy and the girls set the room up for her, making sure it was ready when she arrived. Maya's dad got a text and said they were 5 minutes out. They sat in the dining room as Bella, Maya and her mom came in. Maddie immediately ran to her and hugged her tightly whispering in her ear. Bella smiled weakly and hugged her back. The Borden girls took Maya and Bella into the room they had set up. Maya was an only child but the house was a nice size and could fit the extra visitors. The adults sat in the kitchen finally able to relax with a cup of coffee. Ty ordered pizza and salads as they discussed the plan for the near future. Amy smiled, "This is going to be tough on those four girls but I am sure Bella will get the support she needs from all of us. Like I said, I know that we love her like our own and now she needs us." Ty put his head down and spoke quietly. "Before I met Amy I too had a difficult childhood. I was in an abusive and unloving house, moving from group home to group home for years. I finally broke, lashing out at my stepdad and landed in juvenile detention. Amy's mom saved me when she brought me to Heartland as a requirement of my probation. We need to be there for Bella so she can heal and move on with her life." Amy smiled and grabbed her husband's hand as Maya's parents smiled in agreement. As she looked at her husband she remembered that Ty's past was a difficult time. She also worried about Lilly and how that would impact him. She vowed to herself she would stay close to him as the story unfolded. His admission to Maya's parents just added to the pride she had for the man she loved more each and every day.
