Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Four

Continuing To Grow

A/N – A cliffhanger for sure! And by the way several readers have already guessed. 😊 I hope it wasn't repetitive but I really believe the Borden kids' progress in school is a major part of this story and it seems they are doing well. Some may say they need more challenges but I believe they have had them and this well roundedness that they have helps in dealing. They are kids but I am firm believer that your children are greatly influenced by their environment and in their case everyone around them plays a part. As we move forward over the next few chapters there are several key areas that I will write about. Obviously and update on Georgie, the visit to see Lilly and growth of the business. Over the next period of time the story will cover a number storylines, some ongoing, some new and a challenge to the business. I hope you continue to enjoy the diversity of the material. I am humbly appreciative of my readership and your feedback. Thanks you! Enjoy!

As things settled, Amy, Katie, who had returned, Rusty and few of the other folks who worked with the horses sat and rearranged the schedule since Georgie would be out for the day. Ty made sure he checked in with Amy before he headed over to the clinic, making sure she was Ok and then sitting down with Cass to look over what Steven had on his plate. Both of them were happy with scheduling and went to it, periodically checking in with Lou and Steven. Back in the loft home at Heartland, Georgie was frustrated as both of them hovered around her. She finally had enough and agreed to see the doctor but basically ordered Steven to go back to work. "Steven I love you but you are driving me crazy. Mom will take me to the doctor and then we will drop by the center after we are done. You need to get back to work." Before he could protest, she raised up her hand so he was quiet. He gave her a kiss reminding her to come see him after and headed back. She huffed to Lou, "Sometimes he can be a little much." Lou smiled, "Honey he was scared so be nice. He really loves you and that isn't so bad." She softened a bit as she realized she was right. He was an amazing husband and even greater father. She was so happy they got back together and got married. As they headed out she sent him a text, "Sorry, I love you. See you after we see the doctor." A still concerned Steven walked back into the office to a surprised Amy and Ty. Amy looked at him, "Why are you here, is Georgie better?" He laughed, "Well she kind of told me to go to work. Lou is taking her to see the doctor. I feel bad, she has been feeling off for a couple of weeks. I should have made her go to the doctor." Ty consoled him, "Steven, we have no chance in this situation. The Fleming genes are a lot to deal with and if we think we have a say in anything we are joking ourselves." Katie walked in on the last part of the conversation high fiving Amy, "You better believe it guys." "How is our girl doing? They chatted a while longer and got to work. With Georgie being out, Amy and Katie reassigned the horses for the day including delaying some for Wyatt and Lyndy after they got home from school. They got with Rusty and he said that Haley could be there after lunch and help out too. They all had ideas on what was wrong but looked forward to Georgie and Lou returning.

Georgie and Lou had arrived at the doctor's office just before lunch as they sat nervously for her name to be called. Lou leaned into her and whispered, "I have to ask, do you think you are." Before she could complete the sentence, Georgie meekly smiled, "Well we have talked about one more kid and the weekend at the dude ranch well we had a lot of fun." She blushed as Lou pulled her in for a hug, "I am sure you did but you can spare the details. You know even though you already have three kids and Katie is pregnant, you are still my little girls. Whatever happens, you know Scott and I love you and along with everyone, will be there for you." Georgie sighed as the nurse called her in. She went by herself but knew if she needed her that Lou would be right outside. The doctor smiled and greeted her. "So how are the kids. Let's see little Nate is almost a year and those twins, wont they be 3 in September? I can't believe it." Georgie smiled blushing, "Yea neither can we. It is so nice to have an onsite Day Care at the ranch. It really makes things convenient and the price is right. Just to have them close and be able to visit anytime is perfect. Steven and I are almost dreading putting them in Pre-K. They see their older cousin, well actually their uncle JT, who just turned 4 and it is all he talks about." The doctor laughed, "That's right you have a bunch of kids in that family, it must be fun for sure. And Katie, I just saw her a week ago and she is doing great. So tell me what happened, I hear you passed out?" She rolled her eyes, "Well I don't know if I passed out but I did get a little lightheaded. All I know is one minute I was lunging a horse and the next I was on my butt." She smiled, "Well, how have you been feeling. Any nausea, trouble sleeping, anxiety or anything." She put her head down, "Well kind of all of that. I haven't been to up front with Steven but I know where you are going. I have not taken a test yet but I could be…pregnant." She looked at her, "Is that a problem?" She smiled, "Well no, we have talked about one more kid and a few weeks ago we kind of had a weekend away from the kids." The doctor chuckled, "Well let's run some test, take your vitals and measurements and see. You look great, especially with three kids under three."

While she waited she texted Steven to tell him she was there and that they ran test. Before he responded he called needing to talk to her. "G, everyone is worried about you how are you feeling." She smiled, "I feel fine, a little embarrassed. Steven, you know I might be pregnant again. I mean you were kind of out-of-control at the Dude Ranch when we were there." He laughed, "I think you were the one out of control." She giggled and blushed remembering how much fun they had. Before she could continue the doctor came and she told Steven she would see him soon. Back at the equine center everyone was busy covering up Georgie's absence and Steven's inability to focus. Just after lunch Haley showed up and after a longer than necessary greeting with Rusty she stepped in to help. Amy ran into Ty and after a quick kissed he asked, "Any word yet?" She smiled, "She is in with the doctor and already talked to Steven and of course Lou has called several times. She is positive that Georgie is pregnant so I had to calm her down and remind her that Georgie is the one pregnant and when ready will tell everyone." Ty laughed, "Good luck with that." They kissed again and headed back to work. The doctor came into the exam room smiling, "Well Georgie, ready for baby number 4?" Georgie sat for a moment and thought about what that meant. She was overjoyed yet concerned and couldn't wait to tell Steven. She made a decision she would hold off on telling her mom and make sure he heard it first. The doctor continued, "We did see that your iron and potassium levels or low and I know you realize it, but you need to keep yourself healthy. With having these kids close together it is even more important. It looks like you are only 4ish weeks but November looks like the due date. We will try to nail that down the next time you come in." Georgie smiled and thanked her ensuring her she would take the time to rest and make sure she ate the right things. As they walked out she formulated her story for Lou. She kind of bought the iron and potassium thing but still had a feeling she was not telling the whole story. Lou dropped her off at the Miracle Ranch as several relieved people greeted her asking her how she was. She saw Katie and hugged her, "Where is Steven?" Katie knew she was pregnant but kept her thoughts to herself, "I think Ty and him are just finishing a minor surgery." After another longer than usual hug she headed to the surgery room. On the way she saw Amy across the paddock. They glanced at each other and smiled. Amy knew the answer to her question without a need to talk to her.

After the surgery was completed, Georgie and Steven went for a walk. Ty smiled after she gave him a quick hug and his phone rang. Looking at the phone he became breathless. He meekly picked up the call whispering to one for the techs to get Amy for him, "Hey Max, what's up?" The two young parents went to sit on a bench near the Day Care Center. Steven blurted out, "G, what did the doctor say?" Her smile gave it away but he patiently waited for her answer. Looking deeply into his eyes she giggled, "Ready for baby number four?" Steven did everything he could to control himself but tears came and he hugged her tightly, "I am more than ready, is everything Ok. Why did you pass out, is the baby Ok?" She laughed, "Calm down Ste, everything is fine. I have been feeling off and didn't eat breakfast, just had coffee. The doctor said my iron and potassium are a little low and since it is baby number four in a short time I need to make sure I eat the right things. I have all sort of information that I expect you will read through." They both got quiet as the thought of another baby hit them. Georgie panicked slightly, "Steven we have so much to get ready for. We are going to have 4 kids under 4, are we crazy?" He looked just as panicked but calmed a bit, "You need to focus on your health. We have so much support here and everything will work out. We should call your mom and mine and tell them. And I guess tell Katie and Amy and then maybe the kids. We have so much to do." She laughed, "Hey you are supposed to be keeping me calm." The hugged and had a little longer than normal kiss. They called Lou and Steven's mom and as expected they were overjoyed. They made a promise to only tell their husbands for now. They headed back to the center and immediately Katie came running over hugging them both. "You don't have to tell me, I can see it in your faces. I am going to be an aunt again, wait you guys are crazy!" They all laughed as Amy walked by noticing the three of them. Although heading to Ty she stopped and joined the hug. "Ty and I are so happy for you two and trust me, the Borden girls will be there for you. I'm sorry I have to go, something is up with Ty." Georgie looked at her concerned, "Is JT Ok?" Amy smiled meekly, "He is fine, but Max called. I have to get to Ty." Amy headed to the office and closed the door making sure Caleb kept people away. As she entered Ty was in a quiet conversation as alarms went off in her mind.

She walked quietly to her husband as he looked up and smiled. She could tell he was concerned as he patted his lap. "Hey Max, Amy is here so I am going to put the phone on speaker. "Hey Amy, I am sorry to bother you but I was telling Ty that Lilly had a very bad day a couple of days ago at the clinic. They decided to admit her to the hospital for a few days and she will be back today. My kids and I are making sure someone is always with her so she has plenty of support. She is very weak but continues to be positive and doesn't understand all the fuss." He hesitated and continued, "I know you guys are coming down and don't take this a negative, but I think you should as soon as you can. She needs all of us but you two and JT being here will really boost her spirits. The doctors are a little concerned with her results but feel strongly that your visit will help." Ty and Amy took a second to digest his request. Ty spoke with concern, "Max please be honest, would the end of the week be Ok?" He answered immediately, "Guys I know what you are thinking and I won't dimmish the fact that she is very ill. The end of the week is fine and maybe tonight when I am with her we will call you guys and tell her you are coming. She loves talking to the kids and I think that alone will help." Amy answered as Ty was still grasping the situation. "Ok Max we will be ready for the call and will book for Friday. I will send you all the information and for now we will hold off on the return date." He smiled with relief, "That's great, we will get you from the airport and of course you will stay at our house. Get ready for some Colorado Walters family hospitality, my kids and their families will be excited to see you." They said their goodbyes and as they hung up Ty collapsed in Amy's arms breaking out in tears. She held him tight allowing him to gather himself. After several minutes he composed himself. "Thank you Amy. I just hope our visit helps her. Do you think JT is up for it?" She looked into those beautiful green eyes, "Ty he will probably handle it better than us. They have an amazing connection." He smiled and kissed her. They booked their flight and talked through what to do with the kids while they were gone. As they walked out Georgie was the first to greet them. Ty hugged her in congratulations but she knew something was wrong. "Whatever you guys need we will all take care of it. When do you leave?" Amy smiled, "The three of us will fly out on Friday and don't know when we will come back." Understanding the severity of the statement she pulled the both into a hug, Ty smiled, "Hey don't crush the baby." They all giggled in relief and headed back to work.

Even with the call from Colorado, the rest of the day went well. Most likely attributed to the excitement around Steven and Georgie's news. There were a lot of hugs and congratulations for the young couple along with a lot of OMGs. When the kids got home and came over to the barn they immediately were made aware of the news and ran to Georgie and Steven to congratulate them. Maddie went immediately into Lou mood. "So, I will get with Aunt Lou. We need to look at the loft and make sure were set things up for you guys. I know you will want the baby close so I already have some ideas. Don't worry guys we will handle everything." Lyndy rolled her eyes, "Maddie you still have almost 8 months, there is plenty of time." She huffed and went to tell someone else her plan. Georgie called Katie, Amy and Lyndy over. "Can we ask you a favor, first can our tribe, Katie and Clay eat at your place. Pizza and salads are on us." Of course Amy agreed but asked why. She continued, "Well we want to tell the kids and thought it would be good if Katie and your girls were there. The twins will get it but Nate may not so we want to make sure we can spend the time with him we need to. You guys can handle Hannah and Noah, who I am sure will be excited." They all were in agreement and Steven went back to the loft to pick up some stuff for the kids. Lyndy and Katie went with Georgie to get the kids as Amy, Ty and the other kids went back to get the house ready. Amy looked at Ty, "Well I guess when we call you mom and Max we will have a larger group and some big news." Ty looked at her, "I think you and I will tell her when we call and prepare her. If she is not up to it maybe we can call her tomorrow. And I think we will tell the kids as we make our rounds tonight about the trip" Amy agreed and leaned into him lovingly. The three Webber kids were overwhelmed as their mom, aunt and cousin picked them up. Since Mallory heard the news Lyndy called ahead and told her to keep everyone quiet so the kids didn't hear too early. She promised and then invited her and Trent to dinner too. Katie smiled, "Well that's good to hear because I kind of invited Mom, Scott, Jack and Lisa. Thank goodness Tim and Casey are out of town. They grabbed the excited kids and headed to the Miracle Ranch house.

Finding out that there would be 6 extra guest, the Bordens were in high gear getting ready. Ty and Wyatt pulled down the vinyl walls and turned on the heater on the deck, adding some tables and chairs for the kids. After they got the news they figured the best place for the Weber kids would being with the younger set. The group from the Day Care Center arrived and slowly so did everyone else. Georgie wanted to tell the kids in the living room together so Steven and Amy gathered them up. They sat on the couch confused about why everyone was there and their mom and dad were acting weird. Georgie sat on one end and Steven on the other with Nate on his lap. Noah was on GG's lap and Hannah on Annie's. Georgie started talking to them. "Noah and Hannah do you remember when mommy and daddy told you about Nate?" Noah kind of did but Hannah remembered it vividly. "Yes Mommy, we were in our room and you and daddy sat down and told us. Then you let each of us rub your belly and say hello." Everyone awed and sniffles were heard in the room. Immediately Noah sat up, "Mom are you going to have another baby?'' She smiled pulling the twins into her lap, "Yes we are, you are going to have another baby brother or sister." The room was quiet as they both put their hands on her belly but Hannah looked up with concern. "Please mommy makes sure it is a girl." The room erupted in laughter as the twins hugged their mom tightly and Nate, still a little confused laughed as well. The pizza and salad arrived and as expected, Wyatt and Lyndy herded all the kids to the porch. The adults sat around laughing and giving some trouble to both sets of new parents to be. Lou looked up startled and breathless, "We have two more grandbabies on the way, Scott we have so much to do, Baby showers, maternity clothes, setting up the houses, we have to get going." The entire group laughed at the overwhelmed Lou as Amy joked, "Lou, Maddie has already started some list. I am sure the two of you will be able to handle everything." Lisa joked, "But remember Lou you aren't having the babies." Again they all chuckled as Ty got serious. "While we are all together I wanted to give some more details about my mom. Max called earlier today and Amy, JT and I are heading to Colorado on Friday. I know Amy has talked to some of you already but we don't know how long we will be gone, hopefully less than a week." The room was completely silent as they stopped eating to listen to an emotional Ty. Amy grabbed his arm and continued, "Actually Ty and I are going to call her and then we thought it would be good for all of us to give her a call." Clay spoke up, "Amy if it is Ok, I will hook your laptop to the big TV. That way we all can see her and she will be able to see all of us." Amy smiled and said thank you.

They continued to eat and periodically Amy and Georgie would check on the kids. When they came back they talked a little more about their trip. Amy spoke first, "The kids kind of know something is up already and of course JT knows even more. He and Lilly have become very close and talk several times a week." She took a breath as Ty continued as his voice broke a little, "Max told us that he is the reason she is fighting so hard. With everything they have gone through, they have decided to work hard for each other. I have overheard their discussions and I can barely keep it together." Ty put his head down as he fought off tears. Jack stepped in, "Well Ty we know how special he is and how much he cares for others. And I know your mom's road has been tough but I am sure she realizes she has a lot to fight for. No matter what happens, never forget that." Ty was next to him and leaned over to hug him like a son softly sobbing in his shoulder. The rest of the room looked on barely able to keep themselves composed. After things settled they finished their meal and coffees were shared with all. Mallory as usual spoke up to lighten the mood. "So you guys, what's the feeling. Will we have boys or girls. You know Amy if you all keep this up we are going to have to add on to the Day Care, The family alone is filling it up. You know Katie and Clay will probably have a couple more and then soon Lyndy and Wyatt, it is out of control." Georgie laughed, "Well for Amy and Ty's sake it should be a while for those two but who knows Mallory, maybe a few more for you. I hear through the grapevine that you have a date coming up." Thanks to the back and forth the table mood lightened and Ty was the first to react, "Mallory you have a date? What is that you have like been here for a month." Mallory scoured back to him. "To clarify I have been here for over three months and I can date too. I get little sick watching all of the hugging and kissing going on. Heck I even caught Jack and Lisa smooching the other day. I need me some of that too." Katie smiled, "So Mallory, who is it?" She blushed, which for Mallory was rare, "Well one of the kids we watch has a single father. His wife passed away and well we have been talking a lot. He is really nice and just a few years older than me. His little girl, Shawna is two and cute as a button." Amy looked up, "Wait do you mean Doug Saunders?" Mallory blushed giving her answer. "Ty and I know him. He works for one of our suppliers and we are his account." Georgie added, "And she is really hot." Katie continued, "And his little girl is adorable." Everyone laughed and continued to jab at her. Thankfully, the kids started coming in from the porch.

As the crowd gathered, Amy and Ty slipped into their bedroom to give Max and Lilly a call. Although a little combative Lilly finally understood the reason for the trip and actually felt relieved they were coming. She was scared and needed her son, daughter and grandson with her. They let them know when they would be arriving and Amy committed to send the itinerary to them. Max spoke, "Well I hope we can get you but if not one of my daughters will pick you up." Amy continued, "Well Lilly, we have a surprise and hope you are up for it. We are going to call back and a whole bunch if people want to say hello and we have a big surprise." Lilly's face glowed with excitement, "That would be wonderful Amy." After they hung up they went into the buzzing living room. Clay and Wyatt had everything set up and when everyone was ready, they made the call. When the screen came on Lilly put her hands over her mouth and gasped. Many noticed that she looked a little gaunt but her smile was bright. She sighed, "Oh my look at all of you. Hey JT." JT smiled and went up close to the screen and blew her a kiss. Max stepped in, "Well I have to say this is sure a big group, are you guys celebrating something?" Ty smiled and pulled Georgie up to the camera. She giggled and put her hands on her stomach, "Well Max and Lilly there is another baby on the way, Steven and I are expecting baby number 4!" Lilly smiled again as a slight tear came to her eye. "Georgie and Steven that is wonderful we are so happy for you." She took a moment to catch her breath as she was noticeably winded so Max continued, "I mean what's the deal, are you trying to catch up with you aunt and uncle?" Everyone laughed as he continued, "And Jack how many more great-great grandchildren will you have. You may need to add on!" Everyone laughed but several the Borden girls continued to focus on their grandma who looked weak. Lyndy spoke up, "Well grandma we are so happy to talk with you. It seems that JT gets most of your time but that is Ok, I guess he is and Ok kid." She laughed and seemed to have a new found energy. "Honey all of you are so wonderful, I love each of you very much. I can't wait to see you all when we come down this summer. Georgie and Katie when are you do?" Katie answered, "Well I am due in August and Georgie in November so we will have a busy fall for sure." Each one of the Borden kids took a turn telling Max and Lilly what was going on with them. Lilly was actively engaged and asked a lot of questions. Ty and Amy noticed that she seemed to gain strength as they continued as he grabbed her hand tightly, smiling. Lilly talked to few others and when she got to Mallory she asked, "So Mallory, when is the big date?" Mallory rolled her eyes and before she could answer Lilly continued, "Your little buddy JT filled me in and I heard the women there says that he is hot." At that comment everyone erupted in laughter. Noticing she was fading Max stepped in, "Well we have to hang up, us old people need our sleep." Lilly spoke up, "Thank you all for this, I can always count on the Albertans to make my day. Congrats Georgie and Katie. I love every one of you and hope to see you soon." As the call ended they sat for a moment as Jack spoke, "Well I think that was good." They all smiled and headed home as it had been a good night.

That night before the kids headed to bed Amy and Ty called them all to the table. Amy spoke to them about the trip Ty, JT and her were going on. She gave them the details and went over some of the plans. She reminded them that at breakfast the morning they were leaving they would go over everything again. As they all headed up Amy and Ty sat for a moment. It had been a trying night but overall a good one. Amy leaned into her husband, "Ty where are you right now?" He smiled, "Seeing her when we first called was hard, she looks so frail. But watching her perk up as the call went on made me realize that this trip is needed. I think the more we can be there for her the better she will be." He began to choke up, "And no matter what we need to make sure she is able to be happy and content and we can help her with that." As they made the rounds each of the kids spoke of their concern about Lilly and were very happy that they were going to see her. Maddie especially was shaken, "Daddy I am so sorry. Don't forget to take care of yourself, it is important." He smiled kissing her forehead. Annie and Addie said the same thing and when they got to Lyndy they saw her and Wyatt talking quietly. Without a word Lyndy rushed to her father's arms and hugged him tightly. "Daddy, I want you to go with me to the competition. I think it is important that you spend time with your mom. And mom you need to go to, Wyatt and Katie will hold down the fort." Wyatt added, "You guys need to go with Lyndy, we will handle this place while you are gone." Now it was Amy's turn to hold her daughter and thank her. They said good night and headed to their room. As Amy got ready for bed she continued to glance at Ty. He was sitting up in bed with his eyes closed and she knew he was thinking of the evening and their trip. She finished combing her hair and turned the light off heading to bed. She rolled in next to him and gathered him up in her arms. Tonight he needed her strength and she would not let him down. He sighed as he turned to her, his eyes a little red from holding back the tears. She smiled and kissed each eye showing him it was Ok. He leaned into his beautiful wife and began to shake as tears came. She held him and let him have his time. She said nothing except when she whispered, "I love you." She felt him smile as she turned off the light. Their night would be spent in each other's arms.

The rest of the week went well as work and school kept everyone busy. Amy had several challenging horses to see before she headed out to Colorado and Ty as well had several check ins along with a handful of minor surgeries. Their plan was to get as much done as they could before they left. Georgie was feeling much better since Steven, Maddie and Lou made sure she was eating right, resting and taking the supplements the doctor gave her. Although Katie was only just barely 4 months along she was fully functional and was feeling great. Morning sickness had ended and outside of a little badgering from Lou she was great. For Amy, the improvements with Lyndy, Wyatt, Rusty and surprisingly Haley was really going to help over the next couple of months while she was gone several times. Outside of the trip to see Lilly, they were hoping to have a short spring break trip with the kids, a weekend for them and then the trip back to Colorado for Lyndy's competition. She had also sent an email to Victor Whitepath's daughter Ellory to see if she could free up some time over the summer to help out or recommend someone. They would hire them for the summer and maybe into September so Katie had time to spend with her new baby. Since Georgie was due in November she felt that they would be Ok then. As expected Lou and Maddie had begun their efforts to help both Katie and Georgie get ready. They were heavily focused on Clay and Katie's apartment that was built out from the attic bedroom at Heartland. Jack had given in and they had expanded the second floor and had a main bedroom. Two smaller bedrooms and a bathroom. It was perfect for the young family. Katie and Clay loved it as it allowed them the privacy they needed and was mostly cost free. And having Lou and Lisa so close would definitely be good with the little one coming. After school one day Maddie came to Heartland and along with Lou they decided on the room for the newborn and began making a list of everything they needed. They picked paint colors with Katies approval and a basic color scheme. Lou figured there would be a baby shower in a few months and the list of needs would be ready. After they finished they went to the loft apartment and looked over the area where the baby would be for the first month or two and also looked over the bedroom that would be hers. The loft again had been expended and the 3 added bedrooms would now be filled. Maddie was invited to dinner at Heartland that night so her and Lou could go over their plans. She spoke up as an admiring Lou looked on, "So here are the plans for the upstairs apartment, Katie, you are good with the colors right." She smiled shaking her head, yes. "I have to tell you Jack, if they have more than two kids we will need a little more expansion upstairs." Before Jack could answer, Katie spoke up. "Calm down Mads, let's just get this one here." Maddie then turned to Georgie, "The work we need to do in the loft is a little easier but here are some ideas." She showed them to Georgie and Steven and they seemed pleased. As Maddie continued, Lisa leaned over to Jack. "Look at her, she is definitely in her element. I hate to say this but she is so much like Lou." Jack laughed choking out the words. "I know"

Friday morning came quickly. As Amy and Lyndy got breakfast ready, Ty and Wyatt loaded up the small SUV. They had all gotten up a little earlier since they had so much to do. The truck was loaded, school stuff ready and horses tended to as they sat down for breakfast. As they ate Amy went over her checklist for the weekend. Addie laughed, "Wow mom going all Maddie on us?" Amy smirked, "Well honey, we just need to be sure you guys will be Ok while we are gone. We are still not sure how long we will be gone but no matter what JT and I will be back on Tuesday afternoon." Lyndy looked a little sullen and had to ask, "Daddy do you think you may have to stay longer." He grabbed her hand and looked at the family, "Guys we just don't know. We just want to make sure you all have an idea of what might happen. Grandma is pretty sick and mom and I decided that I may stay a little longer if needed." They all looked down but understood. The room was silent as Maddie spoke up, "Don't worry guys, we got it. And I promise to give you a complete report on Aunt Mallory's big date." That loosened them up as Amy completed the rest of the checklist. When she finished, Ty spoke up, "Well you three, Lyndy and Wyatt will be in charge so mind them and go to them if you need anything. Maddie, Addie, Annie, you understand?" The all shook their heads yes. Breakfast was finished as Amy, Ty and JT saw the kids off. Amy and Ty asked Wyatt to drive everyone to school since they would be missing the bus so the Borden girls piled in. Amy hugged Lyndy and whispered, "Thank you for this weekend and text me if you need anything and thank Wyatt too. Dad and I love you." Lyndy smiled an answered her tearily, "We all love you guys and will be praying for grandma." As they drove away JT spoke up, "They will be fine mom and dad stop worrying. We have a plane to catch and a grandma to go see." As he ran in the house the emotions of the morning caught up to them as they sat on the porch in each other's arms. Ty whispered, "I hope our trip goes well Amy, I am not feeling too good about my mom. I think she is not telling us everything." She pulled back and looked deeply in his eyes. "Ty, no matter what happens your mom will know we are all here for her. I am confident the love she has felt over the last few years has fulfilled her. I believe that love will help her through this." They sat a little while longer until the door flew open as a little boy spoke up, "Can you two stop kissing, we need to go." Ty secured the house and Amy picked up her little man, "We are ready, let's go."
