Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Six
Back in the Groove
A/N – As I mentioned the storyline from the last chapter is very personal to me and although it is still inconclusive at least we have an idea of what is planned. I will continue to move back to it as needed. After the last few weeks, it is time to get back in the groove for the Bordens. School, work, horses, fun with friends, some big dates and maybe some unexpected visitors. My intent will be to get the story time frame up to Spring Break which should be exciting to write about. We will defiantly keep tabs on all of the Bordens. After the heaviness of the last few chapters I am ready for some lighthearted fun and a lot of love with a hodge podge of different mini stories. And… I may have to instill a little drama. Anyway I have really been receiving some great feedback and ideas so keep it coming. I would love to hear from more of you think of the story. Mature Content Enjoy!
The remainder of their Colorado time was well spent. After much thought, they decided to leave as planned on Tuesday. They were able to go with Lilly for her preparation treatment and at Lilly's insistence, would leave straight from the hospital to the airport. They had went out for a nice dinner the night before to one of Lilly's favorite restaurants with just the adults. JT needed some time and went with several of Max's grandkids to a fun pizza place with games and fun. At dinner, Ty spoke to the group, "Amy and I want to thank your kids for being so nice to JT. I expect he will have a blast and between us he needs a break. For only a four-year-old he definitely has an old soul and being a kid is good for him right now." Helena laughed, "I expect our older kids are having fun too." Dinner was great and when they got home a still amped JT showed them his prizes and talked nonstop about his night. They all slept well and after a nice breakfast loaded up the car and headed out to the hospital. The meeting went very well and after extended goodbyes, especially with Lilly and JT, they headed to the airport. Ty and JT sat patiently at the luggage carousel as Amy talked to Lyndy at the house. While they were waiting for the bags, JT leaned into his dad, "It was hard to leave but I think she is going to do great. Don't forget, we need to call her as much as we can. She will need all of us while she goes through the plan." Ty smiled pulling him into his leg. As Lyndy spoke Amy looked over to her two men, smiling. "Lou got us dinner from Maggie's so you don't have to worry about anything. I am sure you guys are tired and the last thing you want to worry about is cooking dinner. Everyone is anxious to see you guys but it will just be us tonight. I am sure tomorrow when you go back to work you will be deluged with questions. Oh and please call Heartland, Jack, Lou and Lisa would like an update." Amy smiled, "Thanks, Maggie's for dinner is just what we needed. And I will text you when we leave and will call GG on the way home. She walked over just in time for the bags to arrive. JT happily yelled out every time one popped out. They gathered up everything and headed to the SUV. As they drove home the car was quiet and as Amy looked back at her son she saw he was looking out the window. He looked up and saw her smiling. He laughed, "Mom stop staring, I am Ok. It feels good to be home."
As they pulled up 4 excited girls ran to their SUV with Wyatt hanging back. As they all greeted the travelers they headed inside while Ty and Wyatt grabbed the bags. The Borden girls hovered around their little brother asking him a bunch of questions. Amy calmed them, "Girls, let him breathe, we had a good trip but we are pretty tired. We will fill you all in at dinner. They laid off him understanding that it had been hard and went into the house. Lyndy stood back with her mom, "Mom how are they doing?" She smiled and pulled her oldest daughter in for a hug. "They are fine but we are all tired. We had some fun but for the most part it was a stressful trip. If you would have seen your brother yesterday at the doctor's meeting you would have been so proud. He was so amazing and was focused on grandma and your dad. He stayed very calm but I could tell it was very hard for him." Amy grabbed her arm to whisper something. "Honey he had a very strong vision with Grandma Marion and GG Lyndy. He said they were in the back pasture and GG was riding Spartan and my mom was on Pegasus. I could barely contain myself. I need you and Wyatt to keep an eye on him because you know what might happen." Lyndy smiled, "We already talked about it. You need to be there for dad and we have JT." They smiled and walked arm in arm to the kitchen. The girls already had the food laid out and table set. The family enjoyed a great meal and got ready for bed. Amy and Ty made their rounds making sure they thanked the girls and Wyatt for the weekend. JT was half asleep when they walked in so they just gave him a kiss goodnight. Ty sat up in bed watching Amy comb out her hair. He saw almost every night but it still was something he looked forward to. She came over to the bed and smiled, "What are you staring at?" He smiled and pulled her into his arms, "I am staring at you, it's one of my favorite things to do." She blushed as he went to kiss her neck and then her lips passionately. She immediately took the cue and returned the kiss a little more aggressively. She move over him and kissed his neck and chest matching his intensity, nibbling as she went over the places he enjoyed the most. She slid out of her pajamas and removed his boxers easily. She felt his need but she also needed him as well. As they made out their hands and lips effortlessly moved over each other's bodies. Both were moaning and whispering their names as the areas they wanted attention got it in full. They were breathlessly engaged in satisfying each other completely. Amy became the aggressor causing Ty to arch his back in delight as she hit the right spots. In return he loved the areas that made her moan loudly, putting her hand over her mouth. They laughed and continued their onslaught. When they joined as one, Ty moved in and out of his wife as she met him with equal motion. They exploded and now it was Ty's turn to put his hand over his mouth as she did hers. As they recovered she remained on his side draping her arms and leg over his sweating body. As she shivered he pulled the blanket over them. She smiled into his chest and snuggled him tightly, "It's good to be home" Quickly they were both sound asleep.
The rest of the week found the Bordens back in the work and school groove. The kids were very busy at school finishing up some assignments before Spring Break. Lyndy was very busy at Goddard preparing for the trip to Denver. The family decided that Amy and Ty would go with her, giving their dad a chance to see Lilly again. The hope was that she would be strong enough to come see Lyndy dance but they would have to see how she felt. JT was very busy at school and he understood that just his mom and dad would go. He was talking to Lilly almost every day and even when she was down her excitement to talk with him always made her feel better. He was her best medicine. The twins were also very busy at school and Annie continued to spend some time every day working on her horse skills. Amy and Georgie were pleased with her growth and passion. Georgie told Amy as they watched her, "Amy, I think she has the gift, we just need to coax it out of her." Addie was still enjoying the high of having Old Blue at her school shop class. Ty brought it one afternoon as school ended and hitched a ride with Wyatt and Lyndy home. The teacher had decided that the class would work on the truck and take the time to really clean and service it completely. He joked with Ty, "Dr. Borden, "When we are done we will have it looking sharp and running better that it ever has. I am amazed how well it runs now since it is over 50 years old." Ty laughed, "Well I love working on it and am happy Addie does too." Lyndy and Wyatt continued to be an amazing couple and understood that their partner needed to go their own way. When they were in her room one night talking Wyatt spoke up, "Lyn, I know you want me there but I think it would be good if just your mom and dad got with you to the competition. I can help out here but you have to promise you will check in from time to time." She smiled and went to hug him. "Thank you, I kind of want to be with them especially since we are going to see grandma too. Thanks." She went to hug him again a little tighter when they heard a throat clearing in her doorway. Ty spoke up, "Well good night you two, it's getting late." Amy smiled and smacked his arm whispering, "It's just a hug old man." The four of them laughed and said their good nights. Amy and Ty had gotten back in to the swing of things with work the first day they were back. Georgie had not been feeling well so Amy had to step in and take a few extra horses. She was there but was spending a little time in the bathroom as morning sickness had kicked in. She walked out a little flushed and Katie went to her, "Hey sis, you got it bad." She weekly smiled, For some reason this baby is making me more sick than the others. Well that's the joys of motherhood." Since it was going to be so busy on Friday, Amy had Wyatt and Lyndy stay home since they only had a half day anyway. And luckily Haley only had one class so the three of them really stepped in and helped. The bonus was they were going on a double date Friday so they really got into helping as they all were in a good mood. The University had movie night on Fridays so the plan was to go to dinner and then the movie. It would be a little later than normal but Rusty was driving and they trusted Lyndy and Rusty.
But the biggest thing the upcoming weekend was Mallory's first date. The girls were giddy and every time they saw her they laughed and giggled. Maddie had given her some ideas on what to wear. Annie was going to help her with her makeup and hair and Addie kept telling her to be safe. To be honest, Mallory had trouble remembering when she dated last as she was with Jake for a long time. Every time Doug would come to pick up Shawna it was a big event as the staff would all gawk. She would have to shush them away, telling them to get back to work. But they could all tell that they were a good match and secretly hoped it would work out for the both of them. Lyndy and Katie made it their mission to work with her to get her date ready. They were caught several times huddling up with her talking quietly. One day Clay and Wyatt saw the three of them bonding and Clay spoke up, "Wow look at those two trying to tell Mallory how to date somebody." Wyatt laughed as the two girls approached their men. Lyndy looked confused, "What are you two laughing about?" Wyatt rebounded quickly, "We were just talking about how beautiful you both are." Katie held the small bump and blushed, going to hug her husband. Lyndy went to hug Wyatt and whispered in his ear. "Yea right, we will talk about this later mister." He nervously laughed realizing he was busted. Mallory's biggest concern had been telling Trent. She had gone on a few random dates but Trent was too young to realize anything. She ran into Amy and asked, "How should I tell Trent. I mean he knows Shawna and her dad but going out on a date with him is different." Amy smiled giving her a hug. "I know exactly who can help you. Can you meet me when the kid's bus comes home." She smiled, not knowing why but agreed to. Georgie walked over as she heard the conversation, "You are going to have JT help aren't you?" She laughed, "Absolutely, Trent and JT are close and he will be able to help him understand." Several hours later, Mallory stood on the porch next to Amy. For Mallory, she was unusually nervous and Amy put her arm around her for support. The bus pulled up as Maddie, JT and Trent bounded off. Trent's eyes went wide as he saw his mom and ran to her. "Mommy why are you waiting for me." She nervously laughed, "Well honey there is something I need to tell you and if is Ok can Amy and JT sit with us." Trent was nervous, "Mommy are we moving, because I want to stay." She smiled and pulled him into a hug, "No we are not going anywhere, I just wanted to tell you something. Do you know Shawna's dad, Mr. Saunders?" He smiled and shook his head yes. "Well we are kind of going to go out, like on a date. Are you Ok with that." He sat quietly and then looked over to JT. Within seconds he smiled broadly and high fived JT. He went to his mom and hugged her tightly, "Finally, I have seen you two talking and so has JT. You know I am not a little kid anymore." Mallory looked over to Amy with tears in her eyes.
With that out of the way, Mallory and Trent stayed for dinner. It gave the Borden girls a chance to continue to talk about the big date. Addie laughed, "You know Mallory we all think he is really hot. You are pretty lucky for sure." JT and Trent rolled their eyes as everyone laughed as Trent spoke up, "Really, that is gross." As date night approached school and work consumed the family. For Ty it was good because it kept his mind off of his mom. JT called her every night and every once in a whole the family would join him. As Friday approached they were all back in the groove. Ty had several difficult surgeries and had to stay focused. Amy as well had taken in several very challenging horses. And the owners were insistent that she be the one who worked with their steeds. They were closely tied to the horse community and could give them a connection to more high-end horse people. Amy and Ty had always enjoyed challenges so for them it was just a way to satisfy their desire to get better at what they did. They both felt it also drew them even closer as each put their partners needs ahead of their own. And it was working, as they were gaining even more credibility in their fields and growing closer than they ever thought they would be. Everyone saw it and used their love and connection to improve themselves, especially their kids. So date night was upon the family. Trent was going to spend the night at the Bordens so Mallory had no concerns about where he was. Doug was very nervous as he pulled up to get Mallory from the apartment attached to the Day Care Center. When he knocked on the door he spoke jokingly, "Well I am so used to coming here I almost went to the Day Care entrance." Mallory laughed blushing a bit. "Wow you look really nice, I hope I look Ok?" He smiled warmly, "You look great." Mallory invited him in as she had a few more things to do. He sat in the small living room looking at all the pictures of her and Trent. He also noticed pictures of her with Jack Bartlett and Lisa Stillman, Amy and Ty Borden and also Lou Cardinal and her husband Scott. There were also random pictures of her on horses as well as with Caleb O'Dell and Georgie Weber. As he walked around looking at them she came out, "Ready to go." He looked at her dumbfounded, "You really look nice and are definitely the better looking half of this couple." She giggled thanking him. "I have to ask, you have a lot of pictures and it looks like they are all with the Heartland group." She smiled happily, "Well my parents were on the road a lot and not around because my dad was a country singer. They were my family and I spent a lot of time with them up until I left for Europe with my ex." Jack kind of raised me and Amy, Lou and Ty kind of did as well. He asked, "Is that why you came back?" She blushed, "The people here were always there for me and I was kind of a handful." He spoke quietly, "Well I am glad that you did, ready to go?"
In the meantime back at the Miracle Ranch Lyndy was in her room getting ready for the night out with Wyatt, Haley and Rusty. Although she really enjoyed being just with Wyatt, she was excited to see what college life was like and. Haley and Lyndy were becoming good friends and Wyatt had really been spending a lot of time with Rusty, learning the whole ranch hand thing. She laughed to herself remembering how Wyatt tried to show off his roping skills he had learned. He really tried hard but got flustered. Her mom and Georgie were watching and giving him a hard time. He yelled back to them, "Do you think you can do better." Lyndy immediately tried to warn him but it was too late. Her mom and Aunt grabbed to ropes and showed him how to do it, easily roping several of the horses and eventually him." His shoulders shrugged in embarrassment as Caleb laughed, "You are out of your league buddy, Amy and I won several buckles with our team roping skills. You know she owes it all to me." Amy looked at him and promptly expertly through the rope around her former partner. Everyone laughed as Amy consoled Wyatt. As she finished there was a light knock on the door, "Honey can I come in?" Amy stepped in and smiled, "Lyndy you look beautiful. I love the outfit and your hair is gorgeous." Amy got quiet beginning to tear up, "I still remember holding you right after you were born and look at you, a beautiful, mature young woman." Lyndy smiled holding back her tears, "Mom I will always be your little girl." They hugged and walked downstairs. The kids were playing a game with Ty and Wyatt was watching. When she came down Wyatt almost passed out. "Lyndy you look beautiful." The girls giggled and JT spoke up, "Looking pretty good sis." Ty just smiled noticing Amy's misty eyes. Luckily, they avoided to much commotion from her sisters when a knock on their door brought Haley and Rusty inside. Amy and Ty walked out with the two couples as Ty reminded them of the agreed upon time to be home, which was a bit later than normal. After the dinner and the movie they were going to get a late-night snack at a popular on-campus coffee shop. As they pulled away Amy leaned into Ty, still a little teary eyes. "I told her I remember the first time I held her after she was born. And now she is such a beautiful woman." He smiled and held her, "Well her mom is still a beautiful woman too." The kids were watching their parents through the kitchen window and Maddie began to step toward the door. Annie grabbed her arm, "You stay put girlie, I think mom needs a moment." She smiled as they continued to watch their parents. Quietly the all smiled feeling the warmth of their love.
Mallory's date was going great. After a nice dinner in Calgary they went to a small place to listen to music and talk. Malory was a lot more comfortable than she thought she would be. Doug was a very nice guy and they talked freely about their kids and work. Mallory told him some Amy and Ty stories mentioning that she was involved in making them get back together several times. As the evening wore on she opened up about her relationship with Jake, less some of the bad details of their eventual breakup. Doug consoled her, "Mallory I am so sorry that you had to go through that." I don't know if you know the story but my wife had a difficulty pregnancy with Shawna. There were a lot of complications and when she was born Amelia passed away. Here I was a new father and a single parent. My parents and in laws were amazing once we put her to rest. And my sister-in-law has been a god send, basically walking me through the baby care stuff." He took a breath as Mallory looked at him intently, "Doug, I am so sorry, I had heard she had passed but didn't know why. But you should be so proud of yourself, Shawna is a cute kid and very easy to love. She makes friends easily and the staff love her." She grabbed his hand, "So what brought you here?" He smiled, "Well my mom was from Hudson and my brother and amazing sister-in-law bought the McSlade Ranch years ago. I needed a change of scenery and had them here for support. I lived with them for a bit, found a job and we got our own place. When I heard about the Day Care center I knew I had to get Shawna enrolled. You guys have quite a reputation and I was lucky to get her in but my brother and sister knew the Bordens. She absolutely loves it." Mallory smiled, "Well thanks, it is a pretty special place and the family is amazing. They have been so good to me when I showed up with nothing other than what I had in my car. That's just what they do." Without realizing it they had moved a little closer to each other while they talked, continuing to hold each other hands. Doug quietly cleared his throat realizing their closeness, "Mallory I have never met anyone like you. Amelia has been gone almost three years and my family has told me she would want me to meet someone. It's been hard but I have to say I feel very comfortable with you." The continued to listen to music and after a bit headed home. Mallory sat a little closer to him on the ride back and he wasn't complaining. He walked her to the door deciding what to do. Before he could act, Mallory went to hug him and kissed his cheek. "I had a great evening Doug, I hope we can do this again." He smiled and without hesitation lightly kissed her on her lips. He stepped back and saw her eyes slowly open, "Absolutely, I really would like that." After another long hug he headed to his car and home. Mallory walked inside and collapsed on the couch. She was in love.
The other date was going well also. The four young adults really got along and had a lot to talk about. Haley gave Lyndy and Wyatt a tour of her dorm room and a little bit of the campus. They ate at a small diner just off campus, talking and chatting a lot. Even with the security person close by they seemed to be on their own. Lyndy whispered, "Do you ever get used to it?" Haley smiled, "They are actually pretty cool and always give me space, especially when I am with Rusty. It's not too bad and I understand why I need them. There have been a few times when reporters got to close and they swooped in and took care of them." They smiled as the four of them enjoyed their dinner. The movie started a little before 8pm and when they arrived the auditorium was pretty crowded as they sat off to one side pretty far up. As the movie began Lyndy snuggled into Wyatt taking in his warmth. His strong arm held her close as they held hands on their laps. Lyndy reached up and kissed his neck and ear lobe. Haley giggled and poked her friend, "Calm down girl we are in public, do I have to call my security guy, as she pointed to her alarm on her wrist." Lyndy blushed, "Sorry we don't get that much time alone with my goofy family." Rusty whispered, "Wait a minute, your bedrooms are right next to each other." Wyatt whispered back as the people behind they shushed them. "Yea like we can do anything there, Ty has super sensitive hearing." They smiled and went back to the movie which was one of their favorites. Lyndy continued to snuggled as Wyatt pulled her in tighter. Her thoughts went to the last time they were completely alone and each of their roving hands. She kind of wished his hand would do that again but knew he was a little shy about public displays. It made her feel warm to know that he held their intimacy so private, just for them. As the movie ended the two young couples got up to headed to the car as they had to drive to the late-night coffee shop. Lyndy was enjoying her late-night freedom, so happy that her parents trusted the both of them as well as Haley and Rusty. It was a little after midnight when they walked in the door expecting Ty to be waiting for them. Amazingly he wasn't, so they quietly headed to their rooms after a deep and passionate kiss. As Lyndy settled in for bed, she heard a light tap on the door. She quietly said come in hoping it was Wyatt for one more kiss but it was her smiling mom. Amy climbed into bed, "So how was your night?" It was perfect. Mom, the more time I spend with him the more I love him. He is so amazing and tonight we were kind of cuddling but he respected me and the fact that we were in a public place. Well and Haley threatened have her security guy come over." Amy smiled, "I am so happy for you and your dad and I trust your both completely. But I can't lie, your dad waited until you walked up the porch before he snuck up to bed. He is a worrier for sure." They hugged good night. Lyndy laid in her bed staring at the ceiling with thoughts of the love for Wyatt she had in her heart.
Over the next couple of weeks everyone was preparing for the almost 2-week spring break. The kids were really wrapped up in school as several projects they were working on had to be done before their time off. Amy and Ty were still very busy as they were already seeing a spike in business. On top of that they were preparing for the University lecture and trip with Lyndy to Colorado. Lilly was doing as well as she could and it definitely would be good to see her. She was determined to see the competition and was working hard to be able to. JT kept up conversations almost every night and the family would join in from time to time. Somehow, Camilla, Addie and Annie had convince Soraya and Amy to let them go back to England as well. After a lot of harassment, the parents succumbed. They would be gone five days and JT also finagled GG and Tim to go on an early season fishing trip to the family cabin. Lyndy and Wyatt decided to go along with Trent as well. They rest of the JT's friends were going to be out of town. So Amy and Ty, seeing an opportunity, decided to sneak a weekend to Pike River since all the kids would be gone. All the individual trips worked out well since it was really busy at work and a few days over the weekend wouldn't cause to much stress. Georgie was feeling a little better but she was definitely not 100% and Katie was now in her 2nd Trimester and doing great. Clay was so excited and couldn't stop showing everyone the ultrasound from their last checkup. He was also caught talking with Steven and Ty on several occasions getting some daddy tips. One day Amy, Katie and Georgie sat down to do some advanced planning since they would see a reduction in the future moms ability to work. Katie spoke up, "G, are you sure you are Ok, you still seems a little flushed." Amy added, "You need to let us know if need a break Georgie, we completely understand and the kids have really stepped up and are doing great." Georgie smiled meekly, "I know and I have to admit this is the worst I have felt compared to the others. I am frustrated because I am always so tired but want to do my part." Amy then became all motherly, "Well Georgie, I know how you are feeling. You know I never wanted to be bubble wrapped. But this is you third labor in not to many years. For your baby, you, the kids and Steven you can't ignore how you feel. So, you need to get to the doctor and let them know what is happening. That is the most important thing you can do. If you get in today, we will take the kids to our place so please call." Katie smiled hugging her sister, I will go get Steven." Georgie agreed and when a nervous Steven got there, they called and got in that afternoon. When Amy heard she said, "Like I said we will get the kids and you come to ours for dinner. Katie, you and Clay come too. I want to make sure whatever we hear that we all have a plan." Georgie was overwhelmed as she knew this needed to be done. They hugged and went about their day. Amy went back to the office to fill Ty in and remind him to make sure he checked in on Steven from time to time. "Ty, he is pretty worried, so keep an eye on him." Ty laughed, "No problem with that, we have 2 surgeries after lunch." They hugged for a little longer than usual until Caleb broke them up telling them to get back to work. Caleb was also in the loop about Georgie so he made sure his group stepped it up where needed.
The rest of the day went well and dinner was as usual full of a lot of baby talk. Georgie's appointment went well but her doctor prescribed some prenatal vitamins as it seemed her iron and vitamin D levels were lower than they should be. Everything else seemed fine but he again reminded her to stick to the diet plan they recommended, drink plenty of fluids, less coffee and rest more. Georgie frowned at dinner, "He kind of yelled at me and reminded me that I need to listen to my body and the baby." Everyone chuckled tentatively and Maddie took the ball. "Well I will organize a list of responsibilities. I will monitor the list of vitamins you are taking each day, Annie and Addie you take over the food part and Lyndy and Wyatt, you get with the other trainers and make sure she is not overdoing it. I will put it all together and give you all a copy. You other adults, make sure you check up on all of us and of course the mommy." Everyone agreed but JT sat quietly finally speaking up, "What am I supposed to do?" Maddie smiled, "You have the most important job. From time to time you need to talk to Georgie and give her a lot of hugs. You seem to be able to get people to stick to the plan. Can you handle that?" He smiled and gave the thumbs up. Dinner went well and the Weber's and Foster's went home. After nightly rounds Amy and Ty got ready for bed and laid next to each other. Ty noticed that his wife was a little somber and spoke up, "Ok horsey girl spill, you are really worried." She smiled on his chest, "I am a little worried, I hope her body is ready for this. I know she is a strong young woman but another pregnancy will test her and you know she is like me. She doesn't know slow down." He smiled and pulled her in for a kiss, "Yea you are kind of bull headed sometime, but it is one of the many things I love about you." She began to kiss his neck and ear lobe and whispered, "Bull headed huh, what about when I do this. And this." He moaned as she hit the right spots immediately reacting to her advances. She moved her hand down and giggled, "Hmm, seems you like my bull headedness" He slipped his hands inside the waistband of her panties and moaned, "Seems you do too." The two lovers continued their onslaught of passion and lust. Amy moved all over his body and by his reaction she knew he was loving the attention. Ty gathered himself after her passionate and aggressive moves and returned the favor. He spent time on her breast, and then to the source of her wetness which caused her to arch her back. After she orgasmed she moved on top of him, lowering herself slowly. Their love making was never scripted but always fulfilling. They moved together as she climaxed a couple of more times. When ready, Ty exploded and brought them both the result they were seeking. After a few more minutes, Amy collapsed on his chest as their sweaty bodies molded as one. After a few minutes, Amy breathlessly whispered, "I kind of like our bull headedness. Ty, I love you." He smiled, "Forever my love." They got comfortable and fell into a contented sleep as their naked bodies aligned as one.
After a late wake up, Amy and Ty headed down to breakfast to a flustered Maddie, "I give up on you two, do you see what time it is." Lyndy shushed her, "Don't mind her she is crabby. Everyone has eaten and we are getting ready to go to school. We left breakfast in the over for you." As Amy yawned she hugged Lyndy and thanked her. She then walked over to Maddie and grabbed her into a big hug and kiss. "Mads, we are sorry but sometimes dad and I like to sleep a little later." She smiled and they hugged and kissed the kids goodbye. When they all left Amy and Ty came together in a passionate hug and kiss but were interrupted but a door opening and a grunt from Maddie. "I forgot my lunch and can you guys give it a rest." They laughed as she scampered out the door. Amy looked at Ty sheepishly, "I think we need a shower after we eat." Ty laughed, "Maybe a shower and then eat." They grabbed each other's hands and ran up the stairs, stripping off their clothes before they headed to the shower. A while later the smiling couple were walking over to the office hand in hand. After a few heckles they went in to find Lisa, Lou and Clay waiting for them. Lou laughed, "Well good morning or should I say good late morning." Amy blushed and asked why they were there. Lisa spoke up with a hint of concern, "Guys I think we have a problem with the system that runs the tablets." Clay continued, "It seems that many of us have seen unexplained pop-ups so I asked Nick to look into it." Lou continued, "Well it seems he saw them too and was planning on meeting with Lisa and I this morning. So we are going to call an emergency Board Meeting at 1:00pm here at the Miracle Ranch. Nick will come as well as the other location SMEs. Ty spoke up, You know I noticed a couple the other day. When I get the on my phone of personal laptop I just delete them." Clay confined, "That is what we all should be doing and Nick is sending an email to everyone. He has identified what it is and has already worked on it." Amy was confused, "I guess I don't understand, should we be concerned?" Lisa got very serious, "Well that is the reason we have to meet with everyone. There has been an attempt to hack into our system and we have already called the authorities. Nick believes we have averted it but is meeting with the IT department at the University for assistance as we speak. They were hacked last year and were held to paying a fee to the hackers. They uncovered who it was and avoided paying out a 7-figure ransom." Both Ty and Amy were stunned as Lisa continued, "And Nick thinks he can determine where it came from and that is why we need to meet. If this comes to fruition it will become newsworthy so we need to be prepared." The group sat in silence until Ty spoke up. "We will quietly get the meeting room ready, see you this afternoon."
