Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Five

Always There For You

A/N – Before the aneurisms begin, remember that although my story is all about love, it is also a drama. I plan to take this storyline through this chapter so we can all wait and see how things turn out. I am still developing thoughts in my mind but I hope to portray that the love and support for this couple goes well beyond family and close friends. There will be challenges but I expect they will be overwhelmed by successes and love. The young couple that all of you guys can't get enough of will grow in their friendship and their love for each other. Of note, I really enjoyed writing the last chapter and I really spent a lot of time making sure it all tied together. What a lot of people don't realize that when a traumatic event occurs everyone is impacted in different ways, especially with a couple so loved by everyone. Keep the faith. I am really interested in your feedback about the last chapter and the story. I am humbled by everyone's interest and comments. Thanks as always. Mature Content Enjoy!

Right before lunch, Amy stepped out telling Lyndy they had visitors. Lyndy went to clean herself up a little in the restroom and noticed that her pretty blouse still had some stains from Wyatt's blood. She stood there staring at them as everything came back to her. She didn't even hear her dad, sisters and brother come in. As they walked in Amy noticed that she was in the bathroom and was not doing well. With her three daughters, they took the bag with clean clothes and makeup to go to her, to help her. Without a word they cleaned her up and helped her get on fresh clothes. When they were finished she smiled and hugged them all. She loved her family but needed to get back to him. When they walked out they saw that JT had climbed up next to him and was holding his hand. You would think that a young boy would be scared at such a site but there he was calmy talking to him. He looked at his sister, "Sorry Lyndy, I didn't mean to take your spot. She joined him and whispered, "Please stay here with me, Wyatt would like that." The rest of them sat quietly to be there for their sister. Amy and Ty stepped out so she could get a break and give him a kiss. Ty filled her in on everything going on. "The police came by to ask how Wyatt and Lyndy were doing. They said it was the fourth DWI for that driver and he was facing jail time. I also talked to Max and at a minimum we will be seeking payment for repairs and medical bills. He mentioned that if we wanted he felt strongly that we could press for more but that would be up to us. The kids were great, they took care of the horses, got things together for both of them and made some cards. As you see we also picked up some flowers and balloons." He hesitated to make sure he remembered everything. "Jack, Lisa, Lou and Scott came by to check on us and offered to clean up the house and make sure if needed they would bring food for us. I was visited by Rusty, who is still pretty shook up. Haley came back from her trip to be with him. Caleb, Cass, Soraya and Dillon also stopped by to see if we needed anything. I forgot to tell you but Mallory and Trent were their when I got home and stayed over since Trent was already asleep in JT's room. Right before we were leaving a reporter pulled up asking about the hero and how he was doing. I was nice but told them we had to go. Lou and Lisa stepped up and told me they would handle it. It was a crazy morning for sure. So how are you and how is Lyndy?" She smiled hugging him again. "I am Ok, but I think Lyndy is blaming herself. She said they were close together and she made a comment that it was a little late and joked for him to step on it. She thinks she distracted him."

Ty looked at her, "Well we need to talk to her because the police said that after investigating the accident scene and it showed that Wyatt was actually going a little below the speed limit and that there was no way they could have seen the truck. The truck that hit them was driving too fast. Skid marks showed he spun out right before impact. If anything, Wyatt was driving safely like he always does." She smiled and happy to hear what the report said. They headed back in to see the kids huddled around their adopted brother. Amy got Lyndy's attention and ask her to go for a walk with them. She hesitated until JT spoke up, "We are here for him Lynny, it is Ok. You need a break so go ahead." Maddie added, "We aren't going anywhere." They headed out and after a few minutes the doctor returned to the room. He laughed, "Hello who are you? Addie spoke up, "We are some of the other Borden kids, my parents and Lyndy went for a walk. Wyatt is our brother and we are here for our sister and him." He smiled at them an spoke up, "Well I am here to check up on him, do you mind if I step in?" They smiled and moved away to let him and the nurse look over Wyatt. JT stood close with his arms folded looking very intensely at him. The doctor looked over and chuckled, "Young man can you help me." JT's eyes widened as the doctor took his stethoscope and put it in his ears. "This is a stethoscope and we use it to listen to the inside of the body." JT frowned, "I know doc, my dad is a vet and I have used his stethoscope a lot. My mom gave it to him a long time ago on the day he started vet school. They kind of broke up after that but got back together and the result is us." Annie smacked her little brother, "JT the doctor doesn't want to hear your stories, silly." The doctor laughed, "It's alright, when I heard the name Borden I figured you were Dr. and Mrs. Borden kids. Your older sister looks just like you mom. I met her after she became the Miracle Girl as she worked on my horse a long time ago. She is pretty amazing and so is your dad" The kids all smiled brightly when he talked about their parents. Amy, Ty and Lyndy came back in and saw JT using the doctor's stethoscope listening to Wyatt's chest. Lyndy immediately asked, "Is he Ok, is something wrong?" The nurse grabbed her in assurance, "He is fine honey, we are just checking him over and your little brother is helping." Ty laughed, "Doctor I hope he is not bothering you?" JT looked sternly at his father and the doctor smiled assuring him all was well. Amy was holding Lyndy now and spoke up, "So, how is he and do you think he will be waking up soon?" He smiled, "Well we can't predict that but all of his vitals are strong and we have been gradually taking him off his meds. It was best to keep him under for a while to help him heal. Maybe in a day or two we will try to roust him up.' He looked at Lyndy, "But don't stop holding him and talking to him. I am sure he can feel your touch and hear your voice." Lyndy smiled tearily. "Thank you and I will." The kids cleared the way so she could go to him but not before JT leaned up and kissed his forehead. "Hey buddy, I have to go but your heart and lungs sound really good. Lyndy is with you now, I love you." Even the doctor and nurse choked up listening to JT. He was an amazing little boy.

Ty let Amy take the kids home so she could get some rest and kid time. When they got home the entire house had been cleaned, lunch was set up and a smiling Lisa and Lou greeted them with hugs. Lisa asked, "So how is he doing and how is Lyndy?" Amy filled them in as the kids started eating something. "She is Ok but blaming herself. Wyatt is better but still unconscious, which the doctor said was good. I don't know if you heard but the police told Ty it was 100% the fault of the other driver and he would more than likely be going away for a while." She choked up a little and continued, "They also said that if he wouldn't have protected her like he did, she could have been thrown from the truck and hurt badly or even could have di…" Lou stopped her, "Amy there is no need to go there. He did what he had to do to protect her, sounds like someone else I know." She blushed and hugged her sister and then Lisa. She was glad they were there. After lunch back at the hospital a number of visitors came by. Several of their friends from Hudson High and Goddard along with some teachers as well. Katie and Clay came with Rusty and Haley who had made the trip back from her trip early. Katie was holding Lyndy tightly as Clay and Haley comforted her as well. Rusty stood quietly looking at his younger friend. A tear came to his eye as he fought his anger and thinking he could have done more. Lyndy and Haley noticed his somber mood. Lyndy grabbed his arm, "I need to thank you. The paramedics told me that you and the others immediately came to help us. You made a big difference by helping. I can't thank you enough for stepping in so quickly. He continued to stand with his eyes misting up. Haley came over and put her hand on his shoulder, "Rusty what's wrong?" He broke down, "This is my fault, I should have done more. At KO's we were helping the owner find the people who shouldn't be driving and taking their keys. I missed these idiots and before I could stop them they took off and almost killed you guys." Trying to control his emotions he looked at Lyndy, "I will hear your scream for the rest of my life. I am so sorry that I messed up and I hope you and Wyatt can forgive me." He collapsed into Haley's arms still sobbing. Lyndy gently grabbed his arm ad looked directly into his eyes, "Don't you think for one moment that any of this is your fault. You guys saved us and we will always be in your debt. You are a true friend and I will always be in your debt, you saved my boyfriend's life." She felt something behind her and looked at her dad's eyes that were wide open. She heard a soft voice speak, "Can you guys keep it down I am trying to sleep here. And tell the crybaby, I love him a lot, in a friend way." Lyndy screamed in disbelief going to hug her boyfriend, "Wyatt, your awake, oh my god." She smothered him in kisses as Ty went to get the doctor and nurse. "He laughed uncomfortably, Lynny you are kind of crushing me and it kind of hurts." She smiled, "Sorry, I can't believe you are awake, I have been asking you to wake up forever. Hi." Lyndy completely collapsed as Katie and Haley came to her side. Rusty was overwhelmed as Clay took him to the chair to sit down.

Ty followed the doctor and nurse in but before he entered he made a call. Back at the Miracle Ranch Amy was still sitting with Lou, Lisa and now Georgie, who was bouncing Nate on her knee, in the lounge drinking tea. The kids took Noah and Hannah out to the barn to keep busy and see the horses. Steven had an emergency at the vet clinic to take care of. As they were talking Amy's phone went off. She looked open eyed, "It's Ty" As she listened her eyes grew wide and tears came to them. The others were really worried that something bad had happened. She put up her hand and asked Ty if she could put it on speaker. His voice came up and he seemed to be laughing. "So Clay, Katie, Rusty and Haley are here and Rusty was really struggling. It seems he was blaming himself for missing these two drunks at the bar. Lyndy was consoling him and telling him that he actually saved them. I looked over Lyndy's shoulder and was shocked to see Wyatt's eyes open and a smile coming to his face. He licked his lips and as Lyndy looked at him he told them to keep it down, he was trying to rest. And he also told the crybaby that he loved him." They sat in shock listening to the story as he continued, "While Lyndy was kind of attacking him with kisses I went to get the doctor. They just went in to see what is up." Lisa smiled, "Well that is good news, I bet Lyndy is so relieved." Ty laughed, "Well like I said she was all over him until he complained a little that he was hurting. Then she jumped off of him and just held his hand. Katie and Haley went to her side and talked to him with her. Rusty was in shock and almost passed out so Clay got him a chair." They all sighed in relief. Nate saw their excitement and started waving his arms and laughing cutely. Ty laughed, "Is that Nate, he sounds happy." Nate heard his name and looked at Amy's phone, "Dada?" Georgie laughed, "No silly that is Uncle Ty." He frowned and said, "Want dada." She squeezed him as everyone laughed. Amy gathered herself and asked if someone could take her to the hospital. She was going to stay with them so Ty could come home. Lou volunteered as Georgie had the kids and Lisa had to get back and tell Jack what was up. Ty hung up and told Amy to let him know when she got there. He went in the room and the doctor was talking to all of them.

"Well good Dr. Borden, I was just going to fill everyone in. First Wyatt is doing really well. Gaining consciousness less than 24 hours after a trauma is a good sign. But we need to be careful. Although the two of them protested we are going to give him a sedative. I would really like to give him at least 24 hours more of good sleep and I expect this one would kind of be a problem with that." He gently smiled and put his hand on a blushing Lyndy's shoulder." Ty asked, "My wife is on her way and I am sure she would love to talk with him, can it wait 20 minutes?" He smiled, "Sure, actually I was going to let him eat and give him the sleeping aide after dinner. But it would probably be best if the visitors leave so he can rest with Lyndy." The all understood and said their goodbyes. Wyatt shook Rusty's hand, "Thanks buddy, even though you are a big softy, thank you for being there." Rusty gave him a bro hug and they left. Ten minute later Amy rushed int the room with Lou close behind. Breathlessly she spoke all motherly, "Wyatt thank god you are still awake, how are you feeling, where does it hurt, can I get you anything?" Lyndy grabbed her hand, now being the one to sooth her mother. "Mom, settle down. Wyatt is good, sore but good. But he needs to stay relaxed. I thought I was bad, geez." Ty and Lou laughed as Amy gazed back at them sternly, "I am just so happy for you two, we were scared out of our minds." Wyatt smiled and spoke softly as he was definitely tired, "Thank you mom, I am so happy you are here." The room went quiet as the mom comment rang in their ears. Lou interjected, "Well I need to go, good to see you guys." They all composed themselves and settled in the room. Amy and Ty sat next to each other and Lyndy laid next to Wyatt holding his hand and whispering to him. When the kids came back to the barn, Addie asked Georgie, "Did I see mom and Lou head out. Lou seemed to be driving kind of quickly." She hesitated, "Is everything OK?" Georgie smiled, "Wyatt woke up so your mom went to see him." The kids jumped for joy hugging each other. Nate sat confused and kept asking for Dada. Everyone was so happy and Maddie asked if they could go see him. Georgie told them he still needed rest and maybe they could see him tomorrow after school. She stayed with them until Ty came home but they had a lot of food so she stayed with the kids and Steven joined them. The dinner was upbeat and Ty made sure that after the Weber's left the kids got ready for school and bed. He talked to Amy later because he really missed her. She cooed on the phone, "I really miss you two. I am hoping that if he does well tomorrow that Lyndy will come home and get back to school on Tuesday. Lisa and Jack said they would stay with him and Lou would stay overnight. We will see but I know for sure I can't wait to lay next to my honey." She giggled and said goodnight. The family would sleep more comfortably tonight.

As planned the extra rest really helped Wyatt in his recovery. With Amy, Ty and Lyndy in the room the doctor went over the last test results. The ribs and shoulder would take a little time to heal and it seemed that there was no permanent damage to his brain as his memory was intact. He may have to deal with headaches and dizziness so he would have to limit his mobility until he felt more stable. Lisa and Jack brought the kids over after school and with Wyatt insistence, Lyndy reluctantly agreed to go home with the rest of the family and went back to school. Lou stayed the night as he slept soundly, which was what he needed. Over the next couple of days they routine was repeated. Word spread like wildfire around the family, the town and the company. Wyatt's heroics was being talked about all over the place as Amy and Ty had several request from the media to interview him. They decided that if he wanted to it would need to be when he got back home and was in full recovery mode. It seemed that may be sooner than later as Amy and Lyndy went to see him later in the week. As usual when they arrived, Lyndy ran to see him and give him a hug and kiss on the cheek. Amy walked in a few seconds later as she had trouble keeping up with her daughter. "Hey Wyatt, I would ask how you are feeling but I can see you are busy." They blushed as Wyatt spoke up, "Hello, I figured you would be right behind your crazy daughter. Still sore but other than that I am feeling better. In fact the doctor…" The doctor walked in and continued, "The doctor thinks this guy is ready to go home. Do you know anyone who can take him home?" Lyndy broke away and screamed, "We can!" He laughed, "I thought so, but young man you will be on several restrictions. No school for another week, lots of bed rest and no riding horses. There are to be no exceptions. Your ribs and shoulder are healing well and the cut on your head is good. Wyatt your body absorbed a lot of trauma so I expect you will hurt all over but I am a believer that being home is best." He hesitated and looked into his eyes seriously, "But the trauma to the brain is serious so you need to stay calm and relax to allow it to heal. And young lady, you are in charge and also need to be responsible. I have watched you two and you are something." He blushed a little, "just make sure you chill a bit on that stuff." Lyndy laughed, "I will try for sure but he is pretty irresistible." Amy and the doctor chuckled." He continued, "Well the nurse will be in shortly with your discharge papers and some prescriptions you need to take until they run out." He smiled and left as the three of them hugged tightly. Amy went to her phone but Wyatt stopped her. "If you don't mind I am Ok with you telling Ty but not the others. I kind of want to surprise them and just keep it to family for now. Tomorrow on my walk, I will see others." Amy smiled understanding and sent a quick text to Ty. It immediately beeped and she laughed, "Dad is really happy and will keep it to himself as best he can. Personally, I don't trust him but maybe he will surprise us."

The ride home started off exciting for Wyatt but soon the pain took over and he was very uncomfortable. Lyndy sat in the back with him to help him with his pain as Amy watched the road and the rear view mirror at the same time. Finally the made it to the ranch and pulled up. Maddie was walking across the yard and greeted her mom, "You are back early, everything Ok?" She smiled as Lyndy came around and opened the back door. Maddie screamed, loud enough that everyone in the house came running out. "Wyatt, your home!" She went to hug him but Lyndy got in the way, "Mads we need to be careful with him, your hug needs to be gentle." She blushed a little and hugged him gingerly as the others headed over to see him. After being warned by their sister the rest of the kids took turns hugging him and welcoming him home. Ty went last and pulled him in and whispering, "It is good to have you home son." The ruckus also got the attention of some others, Georgie, Steven, Katie, Clay and a hesitant Rusty holding Haley's hand made their way over while JT wouldn't let go of Wyatt's hand. More greetings came and then Rusty approached him. Wyatt smiled, "It's good to see you brother." He reached out to hug his friend and then Haley. He was quiet but Rusty knew that all was well and his concerns of guilt could begin healing. Lyndy and Maddie helped Wyatt get settled in his room. The twins got a snack together for him and JT sat next to him as he rested in bed. Although a little overwhelmed, Wyatt appreciated all of the attention. Everyone decided to give him some space so he could rest before dinner, except Lyndy who joined him for short nap. She was so happy it was the weekend as she planned to spend every minute with him. A little while later the couple made their way to the dinner table. Wyatt was definitely uncomfortable but was determined to be with the family. The talk was lighthearted and fun as the kids talked about their week. Ty let them know that their mom and him had to go to Okotoks early next week and would be gone the majority of the day. Annie spoke up as well, "Well GG told me that he and Lisa were going to Florida to meet with Mrs. Stanton. Dad, do you know how she is doing?" He smiled, "I think she is doing as well has she can and GG and Mimi have some things to talk with her about." Annie, "Are they going to buy Briar Ridge. There has been a lot of whispering about it around the ranch." Amy spoke up, "Well we don't know but they have known each other for many years and the main reason is to see how she is. Even though they have had some differences, GG has known Mrs. Stanton since high school. In fact I believe they may have dated once or twice." JT laughed, "Well thank goodness that didn't work out, mom you and Ashley could be sisters." Everyone laughed but Ty was sitting next to Wyatt and noticed he was fidgeting. He leaned over and whispered, "Need some meds?" He smiled and shook his head yes, He stepped away and Lyndy noticed their discussion and spoke up, "Well I have to get this patient to go lay down. The doctor has given me the authority to handle his care, so off we go." Everyone told him goodnight as Lyndy grabbed his arm to help him up the steps. Ty came along side to help as he was visibly struggling.

With Wyatt settled in, the family cleaned up after dinner and everyone except JT, who stayed with Wyatt, went out to the barn to take care of the horses. Even though there were others who could do it the family always were the ones to take care of their own horses. It was something that their parents insisted on and no matter what by example always made the effort to take care of Blaze and Triumph themselves. Amy would them that it is the ultimate type of bond they needed with each of their partner horses. Back at the house JT sat next to Wyatt reading a book and glancing over at him as he slept. He was so happy that his best buddy was Ok and shook a little as he remembered how he felt when he had heard about the accident. He was worried for Wyatt but also for his sister. He might be only 4 but he saw how much they cared to each other. It reminded him of his mom and dad. Everyone came back as Lyndy checked in on the two of them. She smiled quietly as she watched JT look over him. Everyone got ready for bed and Ty helped Wyatt get up to use the bathroom. He laughed, "I know that Lyndy is responsible for your care but I think I will handle this." Wyatt laughed and then grabbed his ribs in pain. Amy and Ty made the rounds and noticed that his time Lyndy was with Wyatt. They smiled and said good night and Wyatt spoke up, "Wait a minute, you always give me the 10 minute tap on the wrist dad, why not for her." He laughed, "Well I am giving a little leeway, Lyndy you have 15 minutes and I will be listening." She frowned and spoke softly, "It's not like we can do anything." Amy giggled and pulled her husband into their room. "Well I think we can do stuff." She immediately began kissing him passionately. With everything going on their opportunity to be intimate had been limited and she was ready to catch up. Ty surprised her and lifted her up, taking her to the bed. The frantically helped each other out of their clothes throwing them everywhere. The heat they shared was intensifying as they moved over each other's bodies with a passion only they shared. Amy moved her kisses from his lips to his neck, his chest and stomach, eventually reaching the place he loved. He returned the touches and caresses and they positioned themselves in a way that each of them could help the other achieve the pleasure they wanted. In between their advances they moaned each other's name our repeatedly. Amy reached her first of several orgasms and Ty was finding it difficult to hold back his release as she was relentless. Finally they moved together as one as Amy opened up for him as he looked over her amazing body. He entered her and began to move with her back and forth. With each thrust, Amy arched her back and moaned in ecstasy. She looked at him with love in her eyes as he moved to please her. She called his name in a hushed voice begging him to move faster. He met her wish as their love making escalated into a flurry of movement. They were breathing heavily and their hearts were beating out of their chest. Finally after time she felt him throb inside of her an knew it was time. He exploded inside of her as she met him with an orgasm that made her shudder in complete abandon. After a few more minutes the pace slowed and they collapsed, breathing heavily and damp with sweat. Amy was the first to recover and whispered leaning into him. "Well that was definitely something Dr. Borden, that was something." The giggled and fell asleep in each other's arms, completely in love.

A few hours Amy and Ty were lying in bed sleeping contently. They had each gotten up to go to the bathroom and put pajamas on as it was a cold night. Amy even took a second to pick up the clothes they had thrown all over the place. She smiled as she looked over to her sleeping husband remembering their love making just few hours earlier. She laid inside Ty's embrace near sleep when she heard a scream coming from Lyndy's room. They immediately popped up and headed her way. As they got into her room she was sobbing uncontrollably as Wyatt uncomfortably stood there trying to comfort her. Amy immediately went to her and pulled her into her arms and Ty held on to Wyatt who had gotten up a little too fast. "Lyndy what happened?" The others made their way to her open doorway to see what had happened. She calmed and began to speak, "I had a dream about our accident. It was like I was there watching it from outside. I saw Wyatt and I in the truck, he was holding me and driving past KO's. He made a comment that it looked crowded. I saw the truck heading for us driving really fast. It turned onto the street and spun out. Before it could recover is hit us hard right on Wyatt's door." She took a second to take a breath and looked at who had come to her bed to sit next to her. "Wyatt I saw what you did, somehow before he hit us you uncoupled your seatbelt and rolled toward me wrapping your arms and body around me. It was like you wrapped me in a cocoon. The truck hit us and all of the windows exploded and glass was flying everywhere." She started to get even more upset. The truck hit us so hard that we kind of flew a little and landed on the sidewalk. You never let go of me, even though you were cut up and bleeding from you head. You were knocked out but you never let go." She finally stopped and collapsed in his arms. The family sat stunned at the detail that she had provided. It proved without a doubt that he would so anything for her, even put his life before hers. Ty had the rest of the kids go back to bed but not before they hugged their sister. Lyndy looked at her mom with tear filled eyes. Before she could asked Ty spoke up. "Lyndy why don't you lay down with our patient for a while in his room so you both can settle. If you need anything just let us know." He walked out of Wyatt's room with Amy after telling them good night and giving Lyndy a hug. Amy hugged Wyatt gently and Ty put his hand on his shoulder. As they went back to their room, Amy hugged her husband and whispered, "Look at you all trustworthy." He smiled, I was helping him back there, I think we are pretty safe with them not doing anything. That boy is in a whole lot of pain, I know." Recalling the times after the plane crash and his bike accident she smiled pulling him in. "Well I know from experience that the healing will take a while." They smiled at each other and went to bed holding each other tight.

The weekend and into next week went well as Wyatt became stronger every day. He had begun taking walks and seeing the horses. He was quite the celebrity as everyone was happy to see him and congratulated him on his brave act. After a continuing barrage from the media he decided with Amy and Ty's help to allow an interview with a reported from the TV station. It was set up in the living room to the ranch with Lyndy, Ty and Amy there. The video interview went well as the reporter prepared them with the questions she was going to ask. They also provided her with pictures from the crash scene that the reporter used for the video. When they finished, she thanked them and went over the permission forms allowing them to release it to national media. Amy and Ty had to agree and sign as his legal guardians. The interview played that night and the family, extended family, friends and everyone from the company watched it with pride. It was picked up by national news and was talked about for days. The received a call from their friends from Good Morning Calgary congratulating him without even asking for an interview. But the most exciting thing was when a fleet of black SUVs pulled up to the house. To their surprise Justin and Maryanne Trudeau stepped out. Amy screamed and ran to her friend asking, "What are you doing here?" Maryanne smiled, "Well I came with Justin for a meeting in Calgary and we made some time to come and visit the hero. Surprise!" They went into the house as Wyatt and Lyndy were coming down the steps. The kids were at the table doing study time and they were joining them. When the Trudeaus walked in everyone stood up running to their friends with hugs and hellos. Justin walked over to Wyatt and shook his hand thanking him for what he did, "You are causing quite a chatter at home young man. There is so much bad stuff in the world that a good story is rare. Son, you are a hero and we need more men like you." Wyatt stood tall and Lyndy beamed holding his arm proudly. Maryanne looked at her, "Lyndy he is a keeper and your mom and I will tell you that having a keeper is great." The group laughed. Justin spoke up, "Well we can't stay unfortunately, Maryanne has to go home and I am heading to the states. But if I can impose, I would like to have a few pictures taken, the media is chomping at the bit to hear more about you. Is that Ok?" Lyndy laughed, "I guess so but can I ask a favor. Can we have a picture just or us with the two of you and our family." He smiled, "Of course." After pictures they all went out to the caravan to say goodbye. The farm was buzzing as everyone saw who the visitors were. Amy and Maryanne hugged tightly whispering to each other. Justin shook Wyatt's hand one more time, hugged Lyndy and Amy and shook the hand of his good friend, the vet from Hudson. The family got ready for dinner, still excited about the surprise visitors.

The following week Wyatt went back to school and the family resumed normal activities. The kids were actively engaged in preparing for the end of the school year exams. Jumping practice was in full prep mode and Lyndy was preparing for her end of year dance recital. JT was having a blast at school and talking to Grandma Lilly almost every day. Maddie had about a hundred things going on while still making sure she was in on everyone else's lives. Annie and Addie were excited as next year they would be eighth graders. Their tightknit group of friends spent a lot of time together on trail rides, trips to the mall and movies. Lyndy had cut back a little on Wyatt's care as he was feeling much better. He was still up in the air about the bronc riding thing and to say she was please was an understatement. As promised he got his truck back but still hadn't taken it out. He needed some time for that. Max had called and said that all of the compensation for the truck and medical cost had been resolved. He surprised them with the fact that the judge also required the driver to compensation that would go directly to Wyatt and Lyndy. It would be held in a trust that they could get when they turned 21. Amy and Ty were preparing for Lyndy's big 16th birthday as well as their trip to Okotoks, which now would be an overnight. Jack and Lisa had just left for Florida and she scheduled a Board Meeting for when they returned. The Board had an idea why but would have to wait. Lou was on full baby prep and was secretly working with Amy on Ty's 40th birthday extravaganza. The invite list was already well over 100 as few were saying they couldn't make it. Mallory was still dating her new man and they seemed to be together all the time. Soraya and her family were doing well as well as the Stillman's, O'Dell's and the Masters. Even Tim and Casey were good but as always Tim's mouth always cause issues. Lilly was doing well and they were both excited to be coming in for the summer. The business was rolling along well and everyone was pleased with the steadily increasing demand for their services. One night Amy and Ty sat in front of the fire. The kids were busy with the horses so they had the house to themselves for a half hour. They sat quietly thinking over everything that had happened and everything coming up. She took a drink of her tea and sighed. He looked at her with questioning eyes. She smiled and kissed him, "There is a lot going on but you know what?" He smiled, "What?" "I love you so much." He looked with relief in his eyes. "Well that's good because I love you too." They kissed and leaned into each other content with their lives and their love.
