Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Seven

Getting Stronger, Getting Closer

A/N – Well I have met several milestones. 136 Chapters, over 700,000 words, almost 400 reviews and I just passed 50,000 views. There is no way in the world I dreamed of something like this ever happening. I am humbled as this was just something I wanted to do because the story of Amy and Ty needed to carry on. Anyway thank you all and let's get back to the story. Some big news to bring back to the Board for sure and I am looking forward to developing that a little more. I kind of liked Val in the TV series so I figured I would give her some respect. As usual Amy and Ty work well together and I plan on more of that moving into the summer. The school year is ending and a young lady is turning 16. There is a lot going on and as usual I will work through everything and hopefully give everything it's the coverage it deserves. Please don't lighten up on the feedback and the more the merrier. Thanks Mature Content Enjoy!

Jack and Lisa sat at the head of the table, a little jet lagged but more sad about their trip. The Board and the four invited guest including now Mallory had been handed a prepared handout that they were asked not to open yet. Max was on Zoom and Ashley, Seth and Dean would be joining shortly. Jack began, "I know Lisa usually runs this show but I wanted to share a few things. Val Stanton is close to death, most likely just a month or so. One if the reasons we rushed to meet was because one of her wishes is to see, if we agree to it, the consumption of this before she passed." Jack put his head down to gather himself, "We all had interesting paths with Val but for me she was an old and dear friend. What she is enduring is very hard for me to watch. But she will be the first to tell you, our decision must be unanimous and what's the best for us." Lous brought the Florida group to the meeting and after greetings Lisa took over. "Ok everyone Dean Richards, the lead council for Briar Ridge Florida will take us through the handout. After questions for them, we will bid then farewell and make our decision. As Jack said we don't mean to rush but whatever direction we take needs to be decided as soon as possible for our friend. After we go through this Jack and I will provide our thoughts and go to a vote." The room quietly pulled open the handout, many of them having thoughts about Val. Amy and Ty were recalling when Val pressured her to fix a horse at the open house they held after the barn fire and multiple times when she demanded their help, almost expecting it. Lou remembered how she had tried to shield her from Jack and Lisa's reception when she already knew about it. Caleb had varying thoughts about the women who was so impactful in his life in a good and bad way as his mother in law, two times. Georgie had flashbacks of the whole Strom debacle and How in a way, Val pushed her to be better and eventually become and Olympic champion. She recalled the wonderful note she received from her after she won. As Jack and Lisa looked on they noticed everyone was away in their thoughts so Lisa spoke up to reign them back. "Just to let everyone know Max and Dean have spent a lot of time on the verbiage of this agreement so at any time you have a question feel free to interrupt. Dean and Max, you have the podium. For the next hour they went over the proposition in detail and there were so many questions. The group was highly focused on the details and expectation of the proposal. By the body language, Lisa felt that the group seemed accepting of all the stipulations. Ty asked a question of Lisa, "In the past some of the methods used at Briar Ridge were for a better word, contradictory of what we do here. Ashley, please don't take this the wrong way but what are your thoughts on aligning Briar Ridge with what Amy and her team do?

The room hushed waiting for the answer when they were startled as Val came into view as she entered the room where the Florida team was. She smiled, "Well Dr. Borden, I am glad you finally addressed the elephant in the room." Everyone who looked on ad were taken aback with how frail and weak the Stanton Family Matriarch looked. Lou and Amy began to tear up as they were overwhelmed seeing the once strong willed women on the screen. Val chuckled, "Girls it is Ok and at peace with my fate and actually am feeling well this morning. And I agree with your question Ty. But I have spoken to Ashley and Seth in depth. If you agree to this proposal, it will be up to you to do what you feel is best. AS it was mentioned, I only want two things, to keep the Briar Ridge brand and the employees, at least those who want to stay." She shifted in her wheelchair and continued, "Don't tell anyone Amy, but I was envious of the gift you and you mother had, and now I see Georgie and your oldest daughter Lyndy have it as well. Interesting Jack that name seems to bring nothing but good things to your family. I want Briar Ridge to evolve and help you become even more of a force in the equine world." She had a small coughing attack as the nurse next to her gave her some oxygen, "And if you don't mind check in on my daughter from time to time. Amy you and your family have always been there for her. After I go, I just want to know you all will be there for her. Goodbye my friends." She smiled and the nurse took her away as Ashley was sobbing. Lisa spoke gently, "Honey do you need a minute." She looked up with the strength of her mother, "No, no I am fine let's continue." After a few more questions they asked the group to look things over and let Lisa know privately of their decision. Caleb spoke up, "Well I think we should just vote now, Cass and I know how we feel. Scott and Ty also said that they were ready as did Georgie. Lisa smiled as she saw everyone shaking their head. "Well this is a little different but Ashley I can say we could do a formal vote but as I look around it seems the vote has been cast and we have a deal." Everyone clapped and Ashleys smiled teary eyed. She gathered herself, "Thank you all so much, you don't know what this means to us, especially my mom. We will be up at the end of the week to make it official. You'll have to excuse me, I have some news to share." Lisa kept the group for a few moment to discuss timeline. After they sign the papers, announcements would go out to staff, the media, clients and suppliers. The plan was to spend the rest of the year aligning and merging the financial and physical assets part of the merger. Lisa said, "We will discuss more late but the plan is to have Fairfield and Briar Ridge roll up into the Marion Fleming Equine Center. Fairfield and Briar Ridge would continue to focus on breeding as well as Briar Ridge continue to have a boarding component. The training part will be slowly acclimated to the Equine Center way. We hope that the current General Manager stays on as well as a lot of the current staff. So, announcements next week and the official start of the new consolidated Equine Center will be the first of the year. Up till then all three will continue as individual organizations. Max and Lou will lead the work and I expect you all will be called at times to assist. I don't know about you but this is an exciting time for sure." They all smiled in agreement and after goodbyes and a lot of hugs they headed back home or work with renewed excitement.

The Borden kids were in end of school year mode. The days were packed with activities, end of year projects and exams and just basic closing the year out. Thye loved school but the anticipation of an fun summer was on each of their minds. Lyndy was excited about her 16th birthday, which everyone was being very quiet about and her dad's 40th gala. The kids has a number of things planned as gifts but the most important was really for both their parents. They were secretly working on it making sure the JT and Maddie kept the secret. Speaking of secrets, Wyatt, Amy and Katie were covertly planning Lyndy's sweet 16. And Wyatt had a special surprise planned just for the two of them, with Amy and Ty's blessing of course. All of the kids were excited about the Trudeaus kids coming for 10 days after Lyndy's party. They had been texting and calling each other for weeks, planning a lot of fun activities. Wyatt was also excited but concerned about the bronc competition at the company rodeo. The doctor gave him the all clear and he had been practicing a little under Caleb and Rusty's guidance. He didn't hide it from Lyndy but whenever they talked about it she was obviously not happy about it. Really wanted to do it but was torn because she was visibly upset whenever it was discussed. One night after dinner he asked Ty to look at something with his truck. As they went to look he admitted, "There is nothing wrong with my truck, I need your advice." Ty laughed, "Hmm let me guess, bronc riding and Lyndy, not going well." He whispered, "She is really upset, every time I try to talk about we argue. It scares me because we never argue." Ty said, "Let's go for a ride." JT came out and Ty asked him to tell the girls they were talking the truck out so they could listen to the engine. Oblivious to what was going on, he went and told them. Wyatt, who had just started driving again fired up the truck and they headed out. They drove up to the ridge and sat on the end of the truck. Ty spoke first, "You know I rode a bronc once and Amy was livid. We weren't even together and I have no idea why but I just felt like I had to do it. Then when I got the bike and we were together, she was so mad we didn't talk for days. I wasn't upfront with her and more than anything that upset her the most." Wyatt interrupted, "Well I have talked to her about it but she won't even listen. It scares me that we are so apart on this. I don't want to lose her because of a disagreement. I can't lose her." Ty realized how much this upset him and put his hand on her shoulder. "Wyatt you two have to talk about this and try to keep your cool. I know for a fact that Lyndy, like her mom can be a bit fiery about some things. It seems that Lyndy is that way about you bronc riding. You need to find out why." As they pulled back to the ranch, Wyatt saw Lyndy on the porch waiting for him. She was so beautiful as he stood there mesmerized.

There was already a buzz when the word got out that Ashley Stanton and two others had arrived and were staying at Fairfield. Rumors ranged from Ashley working for the company to Briar Ridge being sold off. Another rumor circulated was that there was a big meeting that the Board was secretly having soon. The Board and other invited guest were sworn to secrecy. But when several news crews had been spotted at Briar Ridge people were in a frenzy. The meeting attendees gathered for the private meeting with Max and Dean providing the official documents the Ashley, Seth, Lisa, Jack, Lou, Amy and Ty had to sign. The media set up to cover the signing and then heard official statements from Lisa and Ashley. Smiles, handshakes and a few hugs followed as Champagne was popped and shared, as Amy joined the pregnant sisters with some juice. After the official signing, Lou triggered the communication barrage with Nick Fisher's help to everyone on the list. The signing group sat at a table as the media deluged them with questions. Lisa and Ashley fielded most of the as Max and Dean provided the legalese responses. All at once cell phones were bussing for all the staff. The excitement was at a fever pitch as everyone we searching for the details. Lisa, Amy And Ty stayed back with Lou and some on air interviews were scheduled. Ashley had a call back home and would join the Bordens with Seth at the Miracle Ranch. Dean and Max both had to head back home to begin setting up teams to oversee the transition. As the Board members came back to their places of work they were overwhelmed with questions and inquiries. It was a hectic day and the local and some national channels were abuzz with the news. This was not only good for H.E.E but for Alberta as well. Joining forces with Briar Ridge and Fairfield would make the Equine Center a force to be reckoned with and would create one of the most prolific horse healing centers in all of Canada. Amy and Ty finally made it home and luckily had decided to have Maggie's cater dinner. They thought Ashley would like that. When Seth and Ashely arrived the kids met them at the door giving them big hugs. JT spoke up, "Mom says dinner will be ready in 20 minutes so she said we should take you guys to see the horses because dinner is a surprise. JT, Annie, Addie and Maddie took them over as Wyatt and Lyndy helped her parents. As they walked over Annie asked if they had kids and Ashley smiled, "Yes we have 3 boys, Luke is 7, Jack is 5 and Seth Jr. is 3. Jack is named after you GG, he is a pretty cool guy." They all smiled and introduced them to their horses as well as Triumph and Blaze. Ashley say the plaque for Spartan and held on to Seth, "He was an amazing horse, when did he pass? Addie spoke up as it still bothered JT and Maddie, "A few years back, I think he was in his late 20's. He was a cool horse, here look at this." She took them to look at the H.E.E. sign. "See Spartan and Pegasus are on our company logo, pretty cool ehh." Ashley couldn't speak as she looked at the sign, remembering the horses from when she was young.

They got back to the ranch house and as soon as she walked in, she smelled Vegetarian Chili and Maggie's fried chicken. "Amy, oh my god you got Maggie's!" She screamed and went to hug her old friend. Ty laughed and joked with Seth, "Brother you haven't lived until you had Maggie's famous Vegetarian Chili." He laughed giving a thumbs up. Lyndy and Amy set up all the food as Annie, Addie and Maddie set the plates and silverware. Ty and Wyatt got drinks for everyone and they sat down. Amy and Ashley sat next to each other as she whispered in her ear, "Amy you kids are amazing, I really miss mine." Amy smiled, "Well when things settle may you can bring them to the ranch or better they can come and stay so you and Seth can have some time together." Ashley's eyes lit up, "Well we are celebrating our 10th anniversary later in the summer. We may take you up on that offer." Dinner was lively and filled with active conversation. Each of the kids talked about their school, hobbies and horses. Ashely was impressed with Lyndy dancing success and laughed, "I think you mother lasted 1 week in dance class." Amy playfully hit her arm, "I wasn't that bad. Anyway I was into showjumping and as I recall we had a few competitions." Ashley laughed, "That's true but to be honest you were into Ty too. Kids you should have seen these two, they wore us out when they were young. But look at them now." The kids smiled seeing how happy their mom was to have her old friend back. Lyndy grabbed her dad's hand and leaned into him watching them jab at each other and whispered, "Mom really looks happy daddy." The rest of the dinner went well but Ashley and Seth had to head to their room at Fairfield for an early flight. The kids each took turns hugging them bot goodbye and Amy and Ashley held each other tightly as Amy whispered, "Say hi to Val for us." The kids cleaned up while the adults said goodbye and then headed off to bed as they had school the next day. After making rounds Amy and Ty went to their room. He watched as she applied her lotion and comb out her hair, something he could watch her do 24 hours a day. As she came to be she giggled, "Hmm seems someone isn't ready to go to sleep yet" as she pointed to his straining boxers. "Let's see when we have here?" He gasped as she pulled his boxers down to focus on his need. She kissed her way up his legs. As she reached her destination he moaned her name as she had her way with him. Needing to feel her he slid her panties and bra off and begin returning her advances. The intertwined as one caressing and kissing all the right spots. He rolled her on to her back and looked deeply into her blue eyes. Their love was always accentuated in their eyes and they were both lit up with excitement. She welcomed him into her body as they made slow and passionate love. Without prompts them movement increase until they joined each other in an earth shattering orgasm. After a few more minutes they collapse in each other's arms sweating and breathing heavily. Quietly the two lovers fell into a blissful sleep.

Over the next week or so the kids were completely focused on ending the school year strongly. JT was excited that after this year, along with Trent and his buddies would be going into kindergarten. He continually talked about it seeking advice from his sisters. At dinner one night Amy calmed him. "Honey you are going to rock kindergarten but don't bother your sisters so much." He huffed, "Fine, oh and dad, Grandma Lilly is excited about coming here for the summer. She can't wait to see all of us." He smiled at his boy and how amazing he was with her. Maddie was really doing well in 4th grade as she received accolades for her grades and some of the class projects she was a part of. Addie joked with her, "SO Mads, 5th grade next year. It's time to rule Hudson Elementary." They all laughed but then Annie ribbed her a bit, "And how is Rickly doing?" Maddie blushed much to the surprise to many of her siblings. Amy spoke up, "Girl are you blushing?" JT laughed, "Well Ricky is her man!" The group laughed as Maddie poked at her siblings. Annie and Addie were also enjoying the last days of school as they continued to excel in the things they enjoyed. Amy and Ty had noticed that they were still very close but were beginning to move to areas they individually liked. Addie boasted, "Speaking of ruling the school, we are going to dominate as eight graders next year. The younger kids better watch out. Lyndy was laser focused on school as her grades were exemplary being at the top of her class academically. But she was also focused on her end of year evaluations at Goddard. The results would determine next year's curriculum and she was focused on achieving the next level. She had been talking privately to Wyatt and her mom and she had decided that next to horses, she really wanted to take dance to possible a university scholarship. The University of Calgary had a renowned dance program and her hope was that she could get accepted. Deep down she wanted to stay close to home to be with her family and her man. The aftermath of the accident and his notoriety had die down a bit for Wyatt, which pleased him. Hos school work was strong and he continued to focus on math and science. He wasn't totally sure yet but want to consider becoming a vet. He respected Ty for what he had achieved in life and he figured it he stuck it out he was pretty sure he had a job after he graduated. He talked to his counselor and they recommended a path for him and encouraged him. But weighed on him heavily was the continuing rift he was having with Lyndy about bronc riding. The had bickered about things in the past but this was different. It seemed to him that she was angry and disappointed with his decision to still compete. It was an area that was new to him and when he saw her concerned look it tore him apart. He loved her and didn't want to hurt her but this was something he felt compelled to do. His frustration spilled over one day after school as they attempted to discuss it. She screamed, "You don't care what I think. Wyatt you almost died saving me in the accident and now you want to ride a wild bronc. What is wrong with you!" He answered with emotion, "Lyndy I am fine and this is something I want to try. It's not like I want to do it forever, I just want to do it one time. You are being unreasonable." She continued to sob, "I can't lose you Wyatt and I just can't talk to you anymore." She looked at him with a look he had never seen. She walked away from him stomping into the house, no longer wanting to discuss it. Wyatt almost collapsed on the fence as she walked away.

Amy and Ty were torn as they watched their daughter and her boyfriend in such turmoil remembering how each of them hurt when they argued. They were sitting on the porch having some coffee and Amy whispered, "Ty we need to do something, it is killing me seeing the two of them arguing." Ty took her hand. "I know, as I recall there were sometimes we needed to get a push now and then, especially from your grandpa. She leaned into him to kiss his cheek and rub his upper thigh, "And look where we are now. Like the night before last." He laughed and moaned, "Mrs. Borden are you seducing me?" She kissed him on the lips, "Absolutely." They were interrupted as their enraged daughter went by them, huffed and slammed the door as she went inside. He whispered, "Should we flip a coin?" She leaned back, "You know what I will take Wyatt, you can have that tornado that just spun into the house. Those Borden women are a handful" He rolled his eyes as they went to them. Amy approached Wyatt tentatively as he was obviously rattled. "Hey Wyatt let's go to the office to talk, can you make it Ok. He didn't really answer as he continued to stare at the house. She took his arm and guided him to the barn. This was going to be harder that she imagined. Ty walked in the house to see the kids wide eyed looking for answers. JT whispered, "Daddy what is wrong with Lyndy and where is Wyatt. Are they like really fighting." He went to the arms of his sisters as all of them were afraid to speak. Ty moved down to his level. "Buddy, they are having a disagreement and both of them are mad right now. They still care for each other but sometimes couples don't always agree on stuff and say things they really don't mean." Maddie whispered, "Maybe we should go talk to her." Ty put his hand on her shoulder, "I think you all should go out to the barn and give them some space. Mom and I will take it from here." Ty walked up to her room and before he entered he broken heartedly heard her sobbing trying to catch her breath. He gently tapped on her door and called her name. He listened intently as she mumbled, "Daddy, you can come in." When he opened the door he try to control his concern as the room was in disarray with things tossed all over and his little girl huddled on the floor next to the bed. When she looked up at him his heart broke. She weakly reached up for him crying out "Daddy." He gently picked her up like he used to when she was a baby. He carried her to her bed and gently laid her down. He held her tightly patiently waiting for her to talk. Before he went to his daughter, he had texted Steven to say he would be unavailable for a while so had all the time she needed. In the office Amy's task was just as daunting. She got Wyatt to sit down and got him some water that he just stared at. Georgie had overheard the argument as did most of the staff there so as the passed she smiled, silently ensuring Amy that she had everything under control. As they sat next to each other Amy gently rubbed his shoulder. Wyatt was eerily quiet until he looked at her with bloodshot and teary eyes. He whispered, I can't lose her, she means everything to me." He leaned into her and sobbed silently. Amy realized that this was going to be difficult but as she expected, Ty and her were up for the task.

The kids were trying to keep busy and Georgie, Katie and Steve had an eye on them. Steven noticed that JT would continually look at the office door with concern. Georgie looked over to him and he made his move. He approached him, "Hey JT I need your help. The examination room is a mess and I could use your help organizing some things. I bet your dad would be happy that we took care of it." JT smiled, "Sure thing doc, but I know you are trying to keep me busy. Thanks." Back in Lyndy's room Ty noticed she seemed to be calming a little. Feeling it was Ok he quietly spoke to her. "Honey do you need some water?" She smiled and shook her head no. "I am Ok daddy and I am sorry I got so angry. I just don't understand why he wants to do this. It scares me so much, I don't know what I would do if I had to see him hurt again or even worse." She began to get emotional so he held her a little tighter. "I know Nugget, it is scary and it is Ok to be worried." She smiled, "You called me Nugget, I love when you do that." He laughed, "It reminded me of when mom was pregnant with you. We were so excited but scared too. It was all so new to us and here I was thousands of miles away while you were growing inside your mom. Man was I an idiot." She looked at him, "No you weren't daddy, mom wanted you to do it because she knew you needed to. She loved you that much." He frowned but realized he had her on to something. "Well that is right but we still both had regrets and missed each other so much. I kind was a little overbearing after you were born GG told me to chill and enjoy you and your mom during such an amazing time. You were a joy and so my regret turned to joy and love." She looked at him and smiled, "I know what you are doing dad." He chuckled, "Is it working?" She smiled with tears in her eyes. She hugged him tightly and was so thankful that he was her father. In the office, Wyatt was also calming down some. Amy continued to comfort him like a mother always can. He smiled and talked softly. "I don't remember a lot about my mom but I kind of recall when I was upset and she would comfort me, like you are doing now. Thanks you." Amy could barely control her emotions in check as she listened to the extremely upset young man. She finally gathered herself to say something rather shakily, "Well Wyatt that is a wonderful thing to say. So as a mother tell me what you are thinking." He put his head down and whispered so softly that she could barely hear him. "I am such an idiot, I let my own desires hurt the most important person in my life. I am sure she hates me and probably never want to talk to me again." She smiled, "Wyatt, Lyndy loves you more than you realize. She is upset, we Borden girls get that way sometimes. I am sure Ty can tell you that over the years, especially when we were young we each did things to hurt each other. Give her some time, because if she is like me as she thinks through it she will calm down. I won't lie you still need to talk this through but I am sure you can get through it." He smiled and hugged her like a hurting child and a helpful mother, Thank you Mama, My grandma said that is what I used to call my mom. I hope it is Ok." Tears came to her eyes as she said quietly, "It would be my honor to be your Mama."

Amy left Wyatt to gather himself and as she walked out she told Katie to tell her kids to leave him be. Ty also left a much calmer Lyndy. He told her that when she was ready she could come out and she would keep the other kids at bay. He looked back at her as he walked out, "Honey you have to talk to him, when you are ready." She whispered in a hush, "I know daddy." Amy and Ty met in the yard. As they approached each other they could each tell the other was emotionally exhausted. They gave me in a hug and kiss. Ty spoke first, "So how is he?" She alarmed him as she began to tear up. "Ty he is devastated and thinks that he and Lyndy are over. He feels like he has ruined everything because he really wants to do this and she doesn't want him to. I tried to tell him couples have disagreements, heck we had a few when we were young. I assured him that Lyndy still loves him and they just need to talk." He laughed, "Well I kind of told her the same thing. I kind of used my stupid Mongolia decision as an example of making a hasty decision. She said that you would never deny me the chance to do something that meant so much to me and she kind of realized that was the same thing going on with them." She hugged him again, "Going to Mongolia wasn't stupid it was something you were driven to do. The smiled in each other's arms but again Ty felt her starting to shake. He pulled back to see his wife in tears, "Amy what is it?" She smiled through her tears, "Ty he told me that I was comforting him like he remembered his mom used to and he asked if he could call me mama, because his grandma told him that was what he called his mom. I could barely keep myself composed." He smiled and looked away as Amy spoke to him, "Ty?" When we were talking I instinctively called he Nugget. She told me she loves when I call her that because it's what we called her before she was born." The now were both teary eyed as they help each other in the middle of the yard unaware of the world around them. Soon they felt a set of hands pulling on their legs and hear the familiar voice of Maddie, "Really we have some serious issues here and you tow are making out in the middle of the year. Do you know like everyone can see you?" JT, who was hugging their legs, held on tighter, "Mommy, Daddy I am scared. I love both of them and want them to be happy." Ty picked up his little boy and Amy hugged her three daughters. They took them to the porch and talked about Lyndy and Wyatt. Thye assured them that they would be able to work things out, but none of them should interfere. Amy spoke softly to them. "Daddy and I had disagreements but we always worked them out eventually, And we were closer each time. We just need to be there if and when they need us. Thye went to get ready for dinner and were happy since the weekend was coming up. After they sat down, Wyatt walked in from the barn and quietly sat down. On queue Lyndy walked down from her room and took her seat next to him politely smiling. Dinner was quiet as everyone was on edge. As they finished Lyndy leaned over and whispered something to him. She looked at her mom, "Is it OK if Wyatt and I go for a drive?" She smiled giving them the approval they needed. It was time for the healing to begin.

Over the final two weeks of school, the kids were 100% focused on ending the year strong. The were having an easier time of it because Wyatt and Lyndy seemed doing ok but not quite 100% back. Their siblings were worried and it made their ability to focus on school more difficult. JT went through some testing for first grade and did very well. Amy and Ty met with the teaching team and they assured them he was more than prepared for kindergarten even though he really was young enough to wait. The agreed though that there was no reason to hold him back especially since all of his friend were moving to kindergarten as well. Maddie was also asked by the team to take some level up testing and her results were good. The teachers set up a call with just Amy and Ty and although she did well they wanted to hold off one more year and she would be evaluated again. They talked to her about it and she was remarkably Ok with it in fact she was kind of relieved. Along with their class mates, Annie and Addie went through some MAP Testing measuring achievement and growth in math, reading, language usage, and science. It provided actionable evidence to help inform instructional strategies for students entering the 8th Grade. It was meant to help prepare them for high school as well. The girls results were very good and as expected Annie scored high in Science, Art and Math and Addie did well in Technical Studies, Problem Solving and Math as well. When Amy and Ty spoke with their teachers they all felt that they both were on the right path. Lyndy, in a much better frame of mind now did very well in her dancing evaluations. Since Ty was in a difficulty surgery Amy went to Goddard with Wyatt and they talked about options. They were provided for some level up options and asked her to think about it over the summer. Amy smiled she watch Wyatt smiled and pull her in to his side. Academically she excelled this year and was co-valedictorian for the class with the highest GPA even though she spent so much time at Goddard. And finally Wyatt had done well in his classes as well and was excited because he was given an option to do a summer program at the University for kids considering veterinary medicine. He laughed when he was talking with Amy, Ty and Lyndy one night, "I guess being surrounded by a lot of vets, the Miracle Girl, and Olympic Champion and the greatest dancer in the world didn't hurt. Oh and the fact that the entire staff at the vet department knows you guys didn't hurt." Ty laughed, "Well just to let you know, Dr. Molder didn't even know who you were so buddy you made it all on your own." He smiled as Lyndy gave him a side hug smiling brightly, so proud of him. The last day of school Ty and Amy took them all to dinner in Calgary at a very nice restaurant. The kids loved it, getting dressed up and acting all fancy. When the group arrived the overwhelmed host took them to their table and they caught the eye of other patrons. All of the girls had dresses on and the three men were in collared shirt and sportscoats. A few people noticed the famous couple and said hello. Then kids watched as their parents graciously said hello to some people they knew. As they were seated. But they also noticed that there main focus was on them as they came to sit down. The Bordens were a force doe sure, committed, respectful and full of love for each other.
