Chapter One Hundred Fifty-Six

Love and Family

A/N – So if you are like me you have to feel good for Mallory. I always liked her character and to be honest, always felt as if she would end back at Heartland one day. And now she has a solid relationship and an instant family. Who knows but I expect that there may be more in the future for her. And I think we all knew that Lyndy would make the decision to stop attending the dance school. Like her mom and dad she has a lot of things she can do and I expect will make the right decision one day. I delayed her date with Wyatt but I promise it will be fun. And as always the kids are doing well at school and all have specific things they excel at. As I have said I am trying to build a foundation for the future and plan to continue to set things up as this story comes to a close, whenever that may be. The next chapter will continue to go over some topics not necessarily related and a surprise for Ty from the family. We will have to wait for several things, Ellory's decision, a baby, some decisions for the Board and whatever else comes to mind. I hope you are enjoying the different stories within the story we continue to move to the holidays. Thanks for the reviews and feedback. Mature Content Enjoy!

The excitement about Mallory and Doug's marriage spread like wildfire throughout the company and for that fact in all of Hudson over the next week. Everyone was happy as they all saw how great they were for each other. Each had a gap in their lives and now that they were together the gap was closed. And the bonus was two amazing kids and a lot of family around them. The Bordens were in full swing with work and school. Lyndy was so relieved that she had made her decision and was happy about it. She was excited about their date and just as excited about the surprise that they all had been planning for their dad. They were set and trying to decide the best time to tell him. Georgie was really ready to have this baby and was basically immobile and cranky. Everyone called Steven and saint for being so understanding and caring of her. Even Noah and Hannah had noticed how he was and were so happy that he was their father. And the bonus was that family was always around. They spent time with the Bordens girls, their grandma, great grandmas and Katie. It was like a party everyday but they also made sue that they spent extra time with their mom who meant everything to them. The Board meeting was moved up a little to ta week from Tuesday as some decisions had to be made about the rehoming center and according to her doctor, Georgie was due anytime. Ellory was coming back on Friday so Amy and Ty already had some time set aside to meet with her. And since they all weren't busy enough, the Fall Finale was this weekend as Maddie and Annie were training like crazy. Lyndy was really enjoying working with them and having Katie with her was a bonus as it really made her feel like her decision was the right one. Katie even brought Sienna sometimes and she just made it even better as she was becoming more and more active and to no one's surprise, even if she was only a few months old, she loved being around horses. The Borden kids also couldn't help but notice how happy their mom and dad were after their weekend at the fishing cabin. Each of them had been really worried, especially since it was the first time that they ever saw them so distant to each other. Lyndy and Wyatt tried to ease their concerns but deep down it bothered them too. It seemed to them that their parents were also working together more and when they did they were happy. Everyone had been excited anticipating the changes going on, especially at the Miracle Ranch. The work was underway and looked like there was a rather large barn with a large loft area, some round pens, a fenced pasture and an outbuilding that looked like it have several examination rooms and a large office. Speculation was all over the board but it was something everyone was looking forward to finding out. The really strange thing was the work at Heartland on the plot of land that was still believed to be for more cattle. A more secure fence was being built and a barn that didn't look like any of the others. The Fairfield/Briar Ridge consolidation seem to have a lot clearer path. Although there would be stay on their original course, many of the areas they covered would be combined for efficiency and direction. Changing the mission of Briar Ridge seemed to be going better than expected as many of the old employees were really embracing the way H.E.E. operation. What really excited the employees was the family aspect of the business model, which was something that they had never experienced.

The rest of the week flew by and Friday was here, the night of Lyndy and Wyatt's camping date. They were keeping it kind of quiet but of course her sister's knew as well as Katie and Haley. They kept reminding her of it and how much fun they would have. To say she was excited was an understatement but also she was excited about the overnight the family was going to have at Eagle Lake for their dad. She was talking to her mom about the anniversary of his dad's death and how he went there to spread his ashes with Jack. The plan was to tell him at Sunday dinner after the Fall Finale. Both Annie and Maddie's age brackets were scheduled for Sunday and they both felt they would do well. But Lyndy's immediate focus was on their night together. Before they left for school they made sure the truck was packed as well as their overnight bags. When they got home from school the plan was to pack the food and head out, hopefully before the rest of her siblings got home. All day she struggled paying attention and as soon as school ended she ran to meet Wyatt at his truck. They headed home, loaded up the food with help from Amy and Ty and were on their way within 15 minutes. It was going to be a warm evening so it was going to be perfect for their camping night. Amy and Ty hugged Lyndy and Wyatt and they headed out, passing the twins school bus on the way out. Lyndy was giddy with excitement sitting as close as she could to him. Luckily, it was a pretty short drive so her aggressive touching was not affecting his ability to drive, although he was enjoying it. As soon as they pulled up she couldn't wait any longer leaning over to kiss him deeply taking his breath away. After they both recovered he laughed, "Maybe we should unpack get set up and go for a walk." She blushed, tickling his ribs, "As long I get to make out with you that's Ok." While Wyatt set up the large tent they brought and blew up the air mattress Lyndy organized the food and put it in Wyatt's truck to protect it from the animals. She carried their overnight bag to the tent and when she looked in her eyes were bright with excitement. Wyatt had set the mattress up with sheets and pillows with a little night stand with a lantern. He also had a vase full of flowers. Outside of the tent there were two chairs set up closely and a fire was ready to be lit. It looked beautiful and she was speechless. Wyatt put his arm around her, "So do you like it?" She looked up to him with a tear in her eye and whispered, "It is perfect and I love you Wyatt Miller. Let's go for a walk and then eat, I am starving." He laughed, "Just like your mom, always hungry." She smacked his arm and they headed out for a walk along the river. It was nearing sunset as they walked arm in arm. After a few minutes Lyndy spoke up, "Wyatt, thank you for helping me with my decision. It was so hard and you listened to me as I went on and on about it. You are pretty amazing." He smiled and stopped to face her. "Well, I know it was hard for you. You are an amazing dancer and are so beautiful when you do it. I hope you don't stop because when I watch you it makes me feel so proud. And to be honest it is hot." She smiled and hugged him tightly. They made their way back to camp to have something to eat and watch the sunset.

The food they brought was awesome and they both made a note to thank Amy. They finished up as the sun set and just sat in awe of the beauty of the Albertan Rockies. They held hands and didn't say much just daydreaming. Lyndy thought about what she said to her parents bout Wyatt being a vet and her emulating her mom as she grew older. She wondered where they would live and how many kids they would have. They weren't even to the point to discuss that but she wanted at least three. She thought about her wedding and who the bridesmaids would be and who Wyatt would have as groomsman. She was confident that Clay and Katie would be the best man and maid of honor and that Sienna would be one of the ring bearers. She wondered if her mom would let her use her dress because the pictures she saw of it were beautiful. She pictured Wyatt working with her dad and uncle as a fellow vet and how handsome he would look in his scrubs and stethoscope hanging from his neck. She wondered if she would end up running the dance school once her teacher retired and how that would fit in with her love of and work with horses. She smiled as she thought of how she would train their children in horse jumping or dance and how she would sit next to Wyatt watching proudly as the competed in shows and competitions. Her future was unfolding before her as she squeezed his hand tighter and looked his way. She saw his eyes distant as well and wondered what he was thinking about. Was it the same thing or something else as sometimes he was a little more practical looking at the future. His life was historically much more challenging and she knew it still weighed on him today, even though he loved his adopted family and her. After a quick kiss they nuzzled closer and continue to watch out as the sun had just dropped down below the mountains. Like Lyndy, Wyatt was thinking about the future. He was confident that he would love and cherish Lyndy for the rest of his life, but based on what he experienced in life, there are never guarantees. His parents died when he was young and he barely remembered them. His grandma was his rock and she passed away sooner than he would have liked. But he was lucky, Amy and Ty took him in and since he didn't want to move with family in the states, with their Ok, they took guardianship of him, gave him a place to live and most of all were Ok with the fact that he loved their oldest daughter. Amy and Ty reminded him of what he could recall of his parents and specifically Ty had become a major part of his life as a mentor and father figure. That love of them drove him to make sure he treated their daughter with respect and love, never taking advantage of her inappropriately or with a lack of respect. Wyatt also indulged himself and thought about the future. He would love to emulate what Amy and Ty had done, less the number of kids. More and more he saw the vet world to be appealing and hoped that he would be able to reach a level of skill and respect that he saw in all of the vets that worked for the company. He decided to see if he could make sure he spent time with each of them to learn as much as he could before he went on the path of education he needed. He pictured marrying Lyndy and having a small ranch with a few kids. They would be proud of him and especially their mother who would become a well-respected horse healer just like her mom. He saw that she was an amazing mom and that the kids and he were always her top priority. He saw that together they could handle any obstacle and continue on as a strong family. He smiled as he looked back to Lyndy as she seemed far off as well.

After the sun set, Lyndy shivered a little as it began to cool off. She smiled, "Well it seems we were both off somewhere else for a while, where were you?" He smiled, "No, ladies first." She poked him, "Actually I think we need to take a swim before we head in for the night. You get the towels and I will get us a drink." He smiled and headed to the truck and as he turned around he asked, "Are we gonna put our swim suits on or just jump in?" Before he finished he saw her standing in her panties and bra smiling at him. "I think this will do." He quickly stripped down to his boxers and picked her up screaming taking her to the river. When he got in far enough he pitched her in and followed right behind her acting like he was saving her. She popped out of the water red faced and ready to beat him up for being so mean. He corralled her and held her tightly so she could barely move. She screamed, "Let me go Wyatt Miller, that was really mean." He smiled and before she could continue he kissed her with a passion that had been building up all day. Immediately they both felt a lot warmer as the kissing and hugging continued. They were so close together that they each felt all the parts of their bodies. She pulled away breathless, "Well I guess this is Ok," and slammed her lips to his again with a lustful hunger. He fell back in the water and the rolled around playing and splashing water. Lyndy and Wyatt were in love and couldn't get enough of each other as they wrestled. The battle turned passionate and he moved his hand over her breast and between her legs. She moaned his name loudly and returned the favor by grabbing him where she could take control. Their kiss turned into foreplay and some extreme touching. The small amount of clothes they had on came off and after a while they gathered themselves and pulled the towels around each other as the coolness of the evening was starting to take it affect. Their breathing slowed as the just held each other looking out into the evening. Suddenly, Lyndy stood up with her towel falling off and yelled, "I love Wyatt Miller." It was so loud he thought they could hear it back home. He stood and she jumped int his arms as he carried her back to the tent. She leaned into him and nuzzled into his neck and whispered, "I really do." They got to the tent and Wyatt quickly doused the fire and lit up the small heater they had brought. She waited patiently as he climbed into bed with her seeing that they both still had nothing on. He smirked, "Well I am kind of tired, maybe we should go to sleep." She quickly rolled over on top of him and looked into his eyes, "Well, I am not so hold on to your hat." She began kissing him on his lips, chest, stomach and below. Wyatt arched his back as she brought him so much pleasure it overwhelmed him. Their intimacy was at a whole new level as she continued to love him completely. Once he saw the opportunity he returned the favor, initially focusing on her breast and then between her legs. They were young and extremely turned on, but each had the restraint and respect to be patient, making sure their partner was satisfied. Just as Wyatt did, she arched her back when he brought her to the brink, screaming his name out. Their love making was slow and completely focused on each other. After over an hour they reach the climax of their arousal and when they finished collapsed into each other arms. He smiled, "Well, not much need for a heater tonight." Her eyes were filled with emotion and love as they kissed one last time before sleep came to both of them. The date had been magical and their love grew even stronger as they each dreamed of the future together.

The next morning the sun woke Lyndy up first. The tent quickly warmed up as she tried tickling Wyatt awake. Wyatt finally stirred and opened his eyes to see Lyndy about 3 inches away from his face. "So mister, you never told me what you were daydreaming about." He grabbed her side and answered, "And you never told me." For the next hour, they told their stories and were amazed at how similar they were. Mariage, jobs, kids, everything. They kissed a lot and held each other but finally Lyndy's stomach growled so he figured she was hungry. The made out a little while longer and figured if they packed up and got on their way they could catch breakfast at home. As they loaded the last thing in the truck they hopped in after one more hug and kiss while looking over the beauty of the sunrise rising over the meadow. They pulled up to the ranch and headed in to hellos and good morning hugs. Amy smiled, "Just in time for breakfast, how was camping, it definitely was pretty warm." Lyndy blushed as Addie and Annie giggled a little, "It was a lot of fun, we went for a walk, swan a little and watched the sunset. It was so beautiful and this morning the sunrise was just perfect." JT had been quiet but with a serious look asked, "So did you sleep good and did you guys kiss a lot." The room was dead silent as Wyatt and Lyndy turned beet red. Maddie laughed, "JT of course they kissed a lot I bet, heck I always see them kissing around here all the time." Again the room was deadly quiet when JT spoke, "I think that is awesome and kissing is Ok." Ty tried to change the subject and asked the girls if they were ready for tomorrow. They shook their head yes and Lyndy spoke up, "Remember, Katie and I are going to spend some time today going over some stuff. Mom, what time should we leave in the morning?" Amy answered her, "Well we need to head over early, but I think dad is taking the rest of you later. The family will all be there as always so we already have a section saved for us. Lyndy and Wyatt, can you came with me and the girls, so we can use your truck." He smiled and shook his head yes, more relieved that the conversation had moved away from their date. Something had been bothering him as well but he couldn't quite remember it. He shrugged it off as the other kids decided to go on a trail ride, and he offered to go with them. Trent and Shawna were coming too along with Desi. Lately Desi and Jeremy had been spending a little more time with the twins, going to movies and Maggie's together. Wyatt was happy to do it so Lyndy with Katie could focus on Annie and Maddie and he could try to figure out what was bothering him. The ride was a lot of fun as Wyatt, JT and Trent really got along well. Addie and Desi hung with Shawna who they thought was a really cute little girl. When they got back, the family and friends had lunch on the porch and spent the afternoon hanging around the barn and ranch. It was kind of nice having nothing to do and they all really enjoyed it. Amy and Ty had to run out for a bit to see a horse about a half hour away so Lyndy and Wyatt were put in charge. Clay, Katie and Sienna were there as well with so the kids were all over her. Lyndy picked up Sienna holding up over her head as the little girl giggled waving her arms and feet around. Sienna loved her god mother a lot. Wyatt watched her and smiled realizing that Lyndy would be a great mother one day. In an instant a nauseous feeling came over him as his face went ashen and he stepped back to keep his balance. He recovered in time so no one saw him, except the ever attentive JT. He walked over to him and put his hand on his arm whispering, "Wyatt, are you Ok?" He smiled, "Just a little tired, don't tell Lyndy but I am not a big fan of camping." They smiled and Wyatt felt his gut churn, "He remembered."

The rest of the day went well and dinner was pretty normal with talk about tomorrow and the upcoming week. Amy and Lyndy looked at each other as Amy decided to bring something up. "Ty, we have an idea. Ther aren't many good weekends left and we thought it would be good for the eight of us to go camping at Eagle Lake next weekend. Lyndy checked the weather and it looks nice. We can bring the horses and a few tents, the fishing gear and a whole lot of food. We can head up Friday afternoon after school, stay a couple of nights and head home on Sunday." He smiled and wondered, "Well it isn't just up to me but I am good to go." Lyndy spoke next, "Well dad we know it means a lot to you and we want to be together since it is the time of year when you went to spread grandpa's ashes with GG a long time ago." Ty smiled tearily, "And it was when I had my motorcycle accident and realized that I needed to marry your mother. I would love to go with you guys. Thank you." They all jumped up to hug him as he smiled and held onto Amy's hand. The famliy cleaned up, went to settle the horses for the night and got ready for bed. It was going to be a long and early day tomorrow so they all got ready for bed quickly. Lyndy was tired and she noticed that Wyatt was a little quiet since they had gotten back. Amy and Ty made the rounds and made sure everyone was settled before they went to bed. Wyatt and Lyndy were talking quietly and she noticed he wasn't as close as she wanted him to be, especially after the amazing night they had camping along the river. She figured he was tired so dismissed it hoping that he would tell her if anything was wrong. There was a tap on the door as Ty and Amy came in to say good night. Amy smiled, "So sounds like you had a good time last night. You know your dad wasn't much of a camper until he met me and now he loves it. We had some great times when we camped, especially since we could be alone, away from the craziness here." Lyndy and Wyatt smiled and said good night. Right after the walked out they heard Wyatt walk to his room, rather that stay a few minutes longer. As the closed the door Ty spoke quietly, "Are they Ok? Wyatt has seemed really distant and in his head a lot since they got back. I hope nothing happened with them." Amy smiled, "I am sure they are good. It's been a hectic week or so, what with Lyndy's decision and the camping date. That conversation we had about her vision of the future, I remember thinking about that with us and it was always a little daunting. And now look at us." He smiled and pulled her in for a deep kiss, "Was the camping trip to Eagle Lake your idea?" She smiled into his chest. "Actually it was Maddie's. She saw a picture of your dad a few weeks ago and asked me about it. I told her some things and that you took his ashes to Eagle Lake with grandpa and had the motorcycle accident. I realized it was right about this time for the year when you went there so she talked to the kids and came up with this idea." He became quiet and looked off. Amy immediately know that she needed to distract him, so she reached up and kiss his lips with passion. "So I think we should reenact our famous camping trip fooling around sessions Dr. Borden." He looked into her eyes, scooped her up and carried her off to bed. Within minutes clothes were discarded and lovemaking began. It would be an hour or so before the fell asleep so happy to have each other and their amazing kids. Lyndy lay in her room unable to sleep. Something was bothering Wyatt and tomorrow she was determined to found out what it was.

After a restless night, Lyndy and Wyatt came down to breakfast a little groggy. Amy smiled, "There you two are. Dad is already loading the horses with Mads and Annie. Grab something to eat and we need to get over to the arena to check in and get the horses settled. They hugged and ate their breakfast in silence. Lyndy and Amy could both tell he was tense. When he finished Amy asked Lyndy to help clean up and for Wyatt to check on the others. When they were alone, she spoke quietly, "It is none of my business but is Wyatt Ok? He seems into himself, kind of like someone else I know can be." She smiled meekly, "I don't know, our camping date was perfect mom, we had a lot of fun and talked a lot about our future. It wasn't until you guys came back yesterday that he seemed distracted. I hope he is not mad at me, although I don't know why he would be mom the night we had was really great." She blushed a little and leaned into her mom and best friend as Amy smiled, remembering the "fun" her and Ty had when they camped. "Well I am sure everything is Ok, just talk to him when you think he is ready." She smiled into her hug as the group came in from outside. Amy announced, "Maddie, Annie, Lyndy and Wyatt we leave in 20 minutes and the rest of you leave in an hour. Ty, don't forget that you are taking Trent and Shawna with you guys." Everyone laughed and saluted her and JT teased, "Ok Maddie." They all went to get ready and Amy noticed that Wyatt grabbed Lyndy's hand as they went upstairs. Right on time the early group left in Wyatts truck with the two horses in tow. As they arrived, they got the horses out and Wyatt went to check in the riders. Lyndy and Amy checked out the course and met several people they had grown to know over the years. One of the event promoters noticed Amy from years ago, "So Miracle Girl, coming back to compete this year?" Amy smiled, "No I think I am retired, but two of my girls are this year." He smiled, "Yes the Borden girls are well known in the show jumping circuit. And you, young lady, I recall you were quite the champion." Lyndy blushed, "Thank you but like my mom I am coaching now. My two sisters are my students and they are awesome." He laughed, "Just like your mom and dad, I remember he couldn't stop talking about his rider, your mom, when she won this years ago. What was it, strategies and angles, Amy?" Amy blushed and smiled, "I can't believe you remembered that and yes it was, he was a great coach." The said their goodbyes and went to get the girls to walk the course with them and see how Wyatt and the horses were doing. The girls were ready so the five of them went to get a coffee and talk strategy. A little while Ty and the others arrived and soon after the rest of the family. As always a large contingent was there including Maddie's friends and Ricky. Desi, Jeremy, Camilla, Troy, Bella and Maya were also there as well. Maddie and Annie looked up to smiles and applause as the rowdy group was in place. Ty, Addie and JT came down for some family support and hugs. The announcer began to speak and welcomed the crowd, joking about the Heartland group and how they needed to keep it down a bit. Maddie and Annie were smiling so much at the support from everyone. Even though it was always there it still felt good. The announcer got everyone's attention and announced the schedule for the day. Maddie's group would go first and Annie's group, who were the older ones, would be last. The competition began and everyone was ready to go.

Maddie's age bracket was very competitive this year and after the first round she was in third place, less than a second behind. A few challenging jumps were added and only a few of the competitors, including Maddie were able to get over them. She watched quietly with Lyndy and her mom as the rest of the riders completed the first round. During the break she talked to them quietly, I wanted to let you know that I love jumping, but I think this will be my last formal competition. I hope you are not mad but I just want to do other things. I will still jump for fun but I want to look into trick riding. I was talking to Georgie and she said she could help me." She was very emotional as Lyndy calmed her. "Maddie you can do whatever you want, I mean look, I just stopped going to Goddard but it doesn't mean I want to stop dancing." Amy smiled at her as her two daughters embraced as she was so proud of them both. She laughed, "Well if that is the case I think you need to go out there and kick butt for your last time." They chuckled as the second round began. Maddie was second to last and had a perfect run, almost two seconds faster than her first. When it was all over she had won by a quarter of a second and the family erupted in applause and cheers. Maddie glance up at Ricky and smiled and then looked to her dad and GG smiling at them as well. After a very happy lunch Annie got ready for her competition. During lunch, Maddie pulled her dad aside, and with Amy there let him know of her decision. She whispered, "Don't tell anyone else yet, I want Annie to be focused and win. After the first round, Annie was the clear leader by almost ¾ of a second. She was really looking good as both Amy and Lyndy noticed her and Theo's determined looks. Theo was an amazing jumper and teamed with Annie they were formidable. Almost like it was planned during the break, she talked with Amy, Katie and Lyndy as Georgie waddled down to them. She pulled her cousin into a hug, "Great run there kiddo, you rocked, have you told them yet?" She blushed and shushed her. Amy and Lyndy were interested in what Georgie was talking about. Finally Annie spoke up. "Mom, I have been talking to Georgie and I want to go to the Olympics like her. She says if I work hard I could do it but it will take a lot of commitment and effort. Are you Ok with that?" This time it was Amy who smiled, "Of course we are and I think Georgie knows what she is talking about." They hugged as Lyndy added, "Well let's get that journey started and win this event." With a renewed determination, Annie's second round broke the record for fastest time ever in her age group. She blew the rest of the competition away by a little over 2 seconds. The announcer was excited as he announce her as the winner and commented, "Who know we may have another Olympic champion from this amazing family." Everyone applauded and the family got everything ready and headed to Heartland for a party. It had been a great day for the Borden girls.

The next week brought a little bit of normalcy for the family. Annie and Maddie received a lot of attention because of their big wins at the Fall Finale as Amy and Ty remained busy at work always making sure that dinner time was a consistent time for the family to stay close. Lyndy noticed that Wyatt was better but still seemed to have something on his mind. The most important part of the week was the family preparing for their camping trip to Eagle Lake. Each one of the kids were focusing on making sure that it was the perfect weekend for their dad and planned to make sure they were all there for him. Although their relationship was strained, they all understood that he was still their grandfather and that their dad had forgiven him in the end. Wyatt and Lyndy made sure all the gear was ready to pack up and Amy, with help from the other girls, made a list of food they needed and started organizing it. They were going to haul the 6 and 4 horse trailers, using the smaller one for two horses and all the gear they needed. Amy got early dismissal passes for all of them so the plan was to get on their way early to midafternoon so they could get set up before dinner. Friday came quickly and after a final check by Amy, Ty and of course Maddie they headed out. Again the weather looked good for the weekend, which was a little unusual for this time of the year. Amy and Ty took the large SUV and hauled the 6 horse trailer and they used Wyatt's truck for the other one. Lyndy was happy as Wyatt held her hand the entire way and she planned to go on a quick ride after they got there to ask him finally what was up. They arrived and Ty, Wyatt and Lyndy set up the tents, while the twins and JT got the horses out and settled as Amy and Maddie organized the food. Tonight for dinner, they would grill hot dogs and hamburgers and have smores later. Lyndy and Wyatt went out for their ride as they others helped set up for dinner and played a bit in the water. Everyone was aware of Wyatt's disconnect lately and were happy that they were spending some time together. They headed along the bank and found a nice place to sit and look at the beautiful landscape. Lyndy sat in between his legs and finally turned around and faced him, "Ok, I really need you to tell me what is bothering you Wyatt Miller, this has been killing me. Are you mad at me, have I done something to anger you?" He took a deep breath and spoke softly, "No Lyndy, I love you, it's just that I am scared." She looked at him furrowing her brow, "Of what?" He gulped and looked deeply into her eyes, "Well last weekend on out camping trip we made love and… And I didn't wear protection. We were so into it I completely forgot, I am so scared that you might be pregnant. I remembered when you were holding Sienna last weekend and realized it. Lyndy, I am such an idiot and can't believe I forgot. How would we tell your parents. Your dad would be so disappointed in me." She put her hand up to his mouth getting him to stop. "Wyatt, have I told you how much I love you lately?" Well I do and I actually remembered it the same time you did. But babe, I am on the pill and it is just as much my responsibility as well. We are in this together." He looked at her wide eyed. "Do you think you are?" She smiled, "I am not, my period started in the middle of the week, right on time. And to let you know when I look back we should have remembered, together. But I won't lie, feeling you inside of me that way was the most amazing thing ever." He smiled, "But I need to always wear a condom until we are ready for kids. So you need to stop being so hot and sexy so I can concentrate more." She giggled and leaned into kiss his neck, "Well I can't promise that." They headed back after a little making out and as they approached, Amy noticed that it seemed all was well by the expressions of th two love birds. She looked over and noticed that Ty saw the same thing. He yelled out, "Just in time for dinner you two, let's eat." They had an amazing dinner as Ty told stories of his father, only the good ones. After smores, Amy and Ty headed to their tent as the boys went to thiers and the girls to the larger one. Before they went in to their separate tents, Lyndy and Wyatt sat for a second and stole a good night kiss. They Bordens were looking forward to the next couple of days.

The next two days were filled with fun and play. Each morning they had a hearty breakfast cooked by Ty, Wyatt and JT who proclaimed, "We are here to serve out women." The girls laughed and tickled him relentlessly. On Saturday, they packed a lunch and headed out on a long trail ride into the foothills overlooking the lake. They set up near the spot that Ty had dispersed his dad's ashes and he told the story of how GG was there for him and he had become a father figure to him. Ty got a little teary eyed and after Amy hugged and kissed him the kids converged hugging him and telling him how much they loved him. After the ride several of them went fishing so they could catch dinner so a fish fry was set up and luckily there was enough. JT and Wyatt caught the most as they boasted while they ate. After dinner, Lyndy had decided to take some time to talk about the diaries that GG had given to her. "As I have been reading them I continually am awestruck about how amazing Grandma Marion, Great Grandma Lyndy, and Great Grandpa Thomas were. Most of the stuff is kind of personal but I can say this, next to the love of family, each of them had a unique love and passion for helping horses. It seemed like the abilities they had were passed down making them even better." She took a breath, "They were three amazing people and I am so proud to be related to them, actually, we all should be. As I read I see a little of them in each of us, especially you mom. I know I speak for all of us, we are proud to be your and dad's children." The emotions broke out as they all hugged and felt a love that was only meant for them. Lyndy whispered something into her mom's ear and they shared a special hug. Ty smiled as he watched his family, so proud if each of them. He saw visions of the future that made him smile even more. Amy noticed his look and without words snuggled back into his embrace. The next day after a great breakfast and after a quick ride they decided to head home a little early since they had a lot to unpack and things to do to get ready for the week. JT reminded his parents that they needed to swing by Heartland so they could drop off the extra fish they didn't eat for Lisa and GG. Mid-morning they pulled out after a great trip for the family. Once that got home after stopping by Heartland they unpacked and spent the rest of the day relaxing and having fun. Amy and Ty sat on the porch, deciding that they would not even check work emails and had a cup of tea looking over the ranch and their kids. Amy leaned into him, "Did you like the weekend?" He smiled and kissed her forehead, "It was perfect and I loved it, but you know what I love even more?" She giggled, "Motorcycles?" He thought for a moment, "Well you got me there but I love those kids out there but most of all I love you, more and more every day." They held each other without words for a while longer.
