Chapter 316: Lori Loud and Luna Loud...
(August 4. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
We see Luna Loud, in the bedroom which she shares with Lincoln and she is reading a book, her brother is not here at the moment and is at the house of Jordan Rosato, and spending some time with her, then Luna stops and she is concerned about what went down the other day.
'I swear, if Karen Houseman and her posse ever try and confront my brother again, then they will be the ones who will regret ever...' Then she hears a knock on the door. "Come in."
She then sees the one who knocked it her older sister, Lori Marie Loud. "Hey, Luna. You got any plans for the day? Because, I was thinking that we could spend some time together, literally big sister and little sister time."
Luna is a little suspicious about this, and then she asks. "And why the heck do you wanna spend time with me, Lori?"
Lori sighs, and then she explains. "Luna, I have spent time with the others throughout the summer, and I am headed to college soon. I just, wanna spend some time with you, Lunes. Please?"
Luna thinks about this, and she sees that Lori is right. "Alright, alright. Let's go." This makes Lori smile, and so they both leave the bedroom, and they head down the stairs and they head towards Lori's car and they drive off.
Michelle Lewis does notice this and she is confused. 'Huh, I wonder what the heck is going on with them.' She then goes back to her bedroom, to do some finishing touches on her plan for this month.
(Timeskip, midday. The Royal Woods Mall.)
This is where they are, and after a lot of shopping they have made it to the foot court. They both enjoy their lunch, but they do notice Karen Houseman and her posse are kicked out of Reiningers, and the rich brat and her friends complain but Mrs. Carmichael ignores them, and they walk away from this.
Lori and Luna snicker seeing this. "Well, well. Looks like what Ms. Bright did has worked, or possibly the work from the mayor after she announced the arrival of those three. Glad mom reasoned with her to issue that warning."
Lori chuckles. "Yeah, I mean literally every store is on high alert and if they try and be mean or do something then they are literally getting kicked out and never ever coming back. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if those three were literally banned from ever coming back to the mall."
Luna smirks. "Now that would be doing everyone else a dang favor." Then she has an idea. "I wanna head to the music store and see what might be affordable and..."
Lori then interrupts her. "Alright, let me pay for it sis."
Luna finishes her food. "Wait, Lori you don't have to..."
Lori also finishes. "No, no. I insist. Now come on, we had our fill and we should go there now." They both head for the music store, though Luna is kinda confused about this and yet she shrugs it off and thinks that this is just something Lori may have planned.
(Timeskip, back at the Loud House.)
Lori and Luna are back, and they are headed back to their rooms. "Well, this has been a fun day and thanks for paying for some of the stuff I bought, Lori."
Lori nods. "Just wanted to help you out and..."
But then Luna holds Lori's hand and they go to her room, and she sees Lincoln is not here yet, and then she speaks to her. "Lori Marie Loud, something else is going down with you and I have felt it for some time after you offered to pay for my fifth shopping. This is not just about college, so what the heck is going on here Lori? And be honest with me."
Lori is surprised to hear this, but then again she knows that Luna would always be suspicious of things going around, and right now there doesn't seem to be any point of hiding the truth. So, Lori tells her.
"Luna, the sole reason why I wanted to hang out with you, is for me to make up for not being the older sister who should've been more responsible. I know that, back then I didn't have a much good relationship with you and that we fought a lot and argued, and I still recall the beat down you gave me after I forced Lincoln into the double date, and I just wanna make amends for everything that I have done to you, and for not being there as a big sister."
Luna is surprised to hear this. "I see, and I totally understand the reason to this, but you have already proven that you are a big sister, and it has been going around lately."
This confuses Lori. "Whoa, wait. Literally what?"
Luna then continues. "Since last year, you have been keeping a keen and watchful eye over the younger sisters, you have been making sure that there was no trouble, or disputes or any other arguments and even made sure to see through some plans and figure things out, and also ensure that the others don't go too crazy with what they wanna do."
"Then you proved it further when you chose to not speak to Bobby till the next year, but then he broke that and then you confronted him and made sure he recalled and learned his lesson. You haven't been on your phone all the time, and you're there to help out when some aid is needed from the older sisters, and you have even learned to accept change and trust Michelle Lewis."
Lori is surprised to hear this. "You have helped in some trouble and turmoil's which we had to brace, and then came the time when you saved Jordan Rosato from the truck that could've taken both your lives. To me, you have proven to be a responsible big sister, someone whom I can forgive and trust."
Lori smiles hearing this, and then she hugs Luna. "Thank you, Luna. Thank you." She has some tears of joy.
Luna smiles and she hugs her back. "You're welcome sis, and we're gonna miss you for when you head off to college. All of us."
The two sisters continue this touching and emotional sibling moment, not knowing that Michelle Lewis sees this and she smiles. She is proud to see Lori making amends and fixing some mistakes, and yet not knowing she has done just that, and she knows that it will be heartbreaking for when the time comes for Lori Marie Loud, to go to college.
A/N: There we go, a moment between Lori and Luna, some words to be shared, and forgiveness and trust earned. Good job Lori Loud, literally a dang good job. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this new chapter guys.
