Hello again
I know it's been a while since my last update
Just things have been hard and it really killed my motivation to write
However recently got some of that motivation back so here's the next chapter that I hope you enjoy

Ch. 6 Testing
(Where we left off)
Vanellope would walk into her throne room
She'd take a deep breath as she'd sit on her throne
She'd take out her phone and make a call. "Hey Jr meet me in my throne room…"
"As you vish…"
A moment later Jr would teleport infront of the stairs leading to her throne
"Vot can I do for you?"
"You're sure that what you designed will be challenging and really test the other children?"
"But of course…I had your requests in mind ven I designed it…"
Vanellope would smile. "Than I want you to go and oversee it…and tell me how everyone does…keep a close eye on Kevin and Lucy…I want to know everything…"
Jr would bow. "Vill do your majesty…"
Vanellope's smile would widen abit. "And that's why you were my favorite Crisp child…your free to go join them now…"
Jr would nod and leave the room
(Elsewhere)
Copy Vanellope would bring Lucy, Kevin and the 'perfected' children to a nice beach resort about an hour away from the castle
"This is too good to be true…we failed...why is she rewarding us?" Kevin would ask
"Your mother wasn't furious with you prince Kevin…" Copy would reply
The children would then notice a building connected to the resort
"What's that building for?" Lucy would ask
"Vere you vill all be tested…ze Queen vonted to make sure you vere all still vorthy…" Jr would suddenly appear behind the group
"Jr I thought you were resting…" Kevin would state
"And rested I am…ze Queen requested I oversee ze testing…" Jr would respond
The group would collectively sigh
"So no vacation?" Vick would ask
"After everyone has passed the tests you will all get to enjoy the resort…" Copy would respond
"Well…let's get it over with than…" Kevin would state
Copy Vanellope would lead the children into the testing building as Kevin would pul, Jr aside
"What exactly did my mother design for us?"
"I cannot say…"
"Why?"
"Ze Queen vonts all of it to be a surprise…"
"Fine…"
The building would consist of 3 floors with a certain path designed for each child, the first level would be a riddle, the second floor would consist of a firing range where they'd be targets that would need to be taken down by each child's individual powers, and finally the third floor would be an obstacle course
All the children would get onto their assigned path
Jr would look at Copy
"Do you have a vay of broadcasting directly to ze Queen?"
"Indeed give me a moment…" A few moments would pass and Copy's eyes would glow white and Jr would hear Vanellope's actual voice
"Jr? any reason why you wish to broadcast this?"
"I felt it'd be better for you to see first-hand how vell everyone does…my summaries vould never be able to match you seeing it directly…"
"Good point…"
A horn would sound and the children would progress to where the riddle would await them
Kevin would look at it, "Hmm… I'm tall when I'm young, and I'm short when I'm old. What am I?"
He'd ponder for a moment. "Oh a Candle…-on cue a door would open revealing stairs to the second floor would open-…slightly embarrassing that was rather easy and took far to0 long to solve…"
The other children would also quickly guess the riddle and move on
Except for Lucy who'd stay stuck stumped. "This riddle makes no sense…"
Jr would watch as Kevin would get to the firing range and see 5 distant targets plus 5 others partially concealed
"Heh no problem…" Kevin would state to himself as he'd pull his blaster out and easily hit all 10 targets on just 8 shots getting a couple double hits
"Wow…zat vas impressive…" Jr would state as Kevin would move on
The other children would have no difficulty passing the firing range.
Linke would hit all the targets at once with a giant fireball
Linder would strike all of them simultaneously with daggers made of ice
Vick would smite all his targets with one giant lightning strike
Carl would throw his shield once and it'd hit one target before ricocheting and hitting the other 9 before returning to his hand
Sophie would get stuck having no ranged weaponry. "Hey what am I supposed to do here?!" She'd shout
"Oh don't vorry…you have unique targets…" Jr would respond
Before Sophie could respond she'd be attacked by a group of robot dummies
She'd dodge all the attacks before dispatching them with relative ease
Olivia's right arm would morph into a canon and she'd fire one shot into the middle of the range and destroy all 10 targets in 1 giant explosion
Mercurio would draw 2 pistols and would destroy all 10 targets with just fire shots before moving on
Meanwhile Lucy would still be stuck at the puzzle
"MOD DAMNIT WHAT IS IT?!" She'd be getting frustrated
The obstacle course would be a narrow path barely wide enough for the children to stand with their 2 feet glue together, there'd be large foam poles swinging from side to side of the path that would need to be avoid along with robotic dummies that would pop up and would need to be destroyed or else they'd knock the child off the path.
"Piece of cake…" Kevin would state as he'd take 2 steps onto the path before a robot would spring up and immediately punch him knocking him off the path and be teleported back to the start
"Ok…maybe not a piece of cake…"
Kevin and the others would spend roughly the next 10 minutes trying to get passed having the foam arms and the robots would make the task extremely difficult
However eventually Kevin would cross the line and be teleported to the room Copy and Jr waited for him
"Good job Kevin…" Jr would state
"I know you designed that fucking course Jr…" Kevin would state
"Vy do you say that?"
"You're the only one who knows how I annoying I find it when behind every little twist or turn in a path waits an enemy waiting to smack me!"
"Are you mad?"
Kevin would take a deep breath. "No I'm not…I know my mother probably ordered you to make it as frustrating as possible…and for that I must say you did an amazing job…"
"Zank you Kevin…"
Moment slater the rest of the children would be teleported to the room and all would see Lucy still at the riddle and they'd all notice that Copy's eyes would be glued to Lucy
Kevin would pull Jr to the side
"Was/is my mother watching?"
"Yes…"
"Uh-oh…."
Lucy would smash her fist against the wall. "OK! IF THAT WASN'T RIGHT….IS CANDLE RIGHT?! YOU RIDDLE FROM HELL?!"
The door would finally open and Lucy would hit the wall several times. "HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT?!"
She'd move onto the firing range
"Screw this…"
She'd reach out with both hands and crush all the targets and the range itself with the force
She'd move onto the Obstacle course and ignite her saber destroying any foam arm or robot that would get close to her
She'd be teleported to the room where everyone else would be waiting enraged
And seeing how she finished last would only further anger her
Copy's eyes would stop glowing and her voice would return
"Well done children…now is time for you to go and enjoy yourselves…"
The children would bow and leave
Kevin would follow Lucy out followed closely by Jr
"It's alright Lucy…"
"NO! IT'S NOT! THAT WAS HUMILIATING!"
"The riddle may have stumped you but you more than proved you were great and worthy with how easily you managed the rest…calm down everyone gets stumped by a riddle…that one just happened to be the one that got you…"
Lucy would sigh and take a few deep breathes. "Ok…well I guess we can atleast enjoy a break…unless Jr set up other tests…"
"Zere are no ozer tests…do not vorry…"
"Good…" Lucy would walk off
(A day later)
Lucy would be sun bathing alone
Everyone would be enjoying themselves
Except for Lucy
She'd hear someone approaching from behind
"Who's there?" She'd ask
Rancis would suddenly sit on the chair next to hers
Lucy noticing right away how shaken up he looked, as if he had seen something truly horrifying
"What's wrong father?"
"Oh it's nothing…you just know your mother…she just put a bit of fright in me…"
"Oh…I'm assuming she was hard on all of you?"
"Honestly…she was pretty tame compared to what she would've done a few years ago…besides we kinda of warranted it…seeing how badly we failed…"
Lucy would sigh. "I don't need a reminder…"
"So honey…why have you been keeping to yourself so much? Kevin told me you haven't really took part in any large group activities…"
Lucy would look away. "It's nothing father…"
"Lucy…you can be honest with me…your mother and I want you to be happy…"
"Well…you see the thing is…Linke is nice to have around…but Nya and Nikki were also good friends of mine…and they're both gone with the fugitives…and Christie was really close to me…even though I did what I was ordered to do…I feel horrible for doing it…and…I felt lonely since then…"
"How close were you with Christie?"
"Best friends you know? I just really liked being with her and hanging out…she was amazing to have around…"
"Lucy…did you have a crush on her?"
"…No…no father…of…of…of course not…she…she was the enemy…I couldn't risk being corrupted…" Lucy would respond blushing slightly
"Lucy it's ok…had you said something sooner…you wouldn't have been ordered to do what you did…we wouldn't have told you to do something that would hurt you…"
"Well…well there's nothing to do about it now…she's gone…I tossed her down a hole…"
"Well…that's why I came here…guards did a scan…and well…she survived…and from a camera that was sent down by a drone…she made a thick floor of ice that she's currently resting on…"
Lucy would sit up. "She's….she's alive?"
"Indeed she is…and well…if you want to go to her and well…re-unite with atleast one of your closer friends…your mother won't mind…"
"You sure?"
"Doubly sure…we want you to be happy…that's our priority…"
Lucy would smile. "Thanks father…"
"No problem honey…" Ranics would smile and get up
Lucy would go and get changed into her regular outfit
She'd leave her room and run into Kevin who'd be waiting
"Hey Lucy…where are you going?"
"It's unimportant Kevin now move…"
"First tell me…I saw you and dad talking…and whatever he said made you sit straight up…"
"Well if you must know…Christie survived…"
"And you're going to go finish the job?"
"No…she was close to me…and well…father told me she could live…aslong as I control her…"
"Are you sure about this?"
"Hey you got to keep Jr…I think I should get to keep a close friend of my choice aswell…"
"…Fair enough…just make sure she doesn't try anything to undermine us…"
"Don't worry Kevin I got this…"
Kevin would sigh and step aside and Lucy would walk past him and go to her kart
She'd drive to the forest and walk towards the hole she had thrown Christie down
She'd still be contemplating what to say as she'd reach the hole and dismiss the few Oreo Guards around
"Leave me alone…I'll handle this myself…"
The guards would bow and leave as Lucy would extend her hand above the hole
Further down Christie would weakly lay on a piece of ice she had formed with her powers
Her fall to oblivion halted however hitting a piece of ice with the momentum she had did take it's toll along with the fact she was thirsty and was starving
She'd look up towards the faint light quite a distance up
"Vy didn't I zink to use my povers earlier…maybe ze climb vould've been more manageable…"
She'd notice something suddenly extend over the hole
"Vots zat?"
Suddenly a purple crystal would fall and lodge itself it the ice
"Huh?"
Suddenly the ice would begin to shake and the parts connecting it to the wall would begin to crack
Christie would try using her powers to repair the cracks but to her shock and horror she wouldn't be able to use her powers as she'd also weaken even further
The floor would be pulled upwards completely severing it from the wall
It'd slowly fly up towards the surface
When she'd be brought to the surface Christie would look around confused
She'd hear someone whistle behind her and would turn around to see Lucy looking at her
"Hey Christie…it's…it's great to see you survived your fall…"
Christie's confusion would quickly devolve into anger
"VY DID YOU DO ZAT?! VOT DO YOU ZINK YOUR DOING?!"
Lucy would make a small movement with her hand and the ice would suddenly fall down a few feet before stopping and being returned to the surface
Christie would shake nervously
"Please keep calm Christie and allowing me to explain…alright?" Lucy would state in a eerily calm voice quite similar to Vanellope's
Christie would shake nervously. "Zen go ahead…ex-explain…"
Before you or I were even thoughts in our parents minds…my mother had tried to perfect this world…your mother fought her attempts every step of the way…and when my mother finally succeeded…both your mother and father destroyed everything she did…and even attempted to reset her code entirely…and left the world…the exact way they wanted it…only beneficial to themselves and those close to them…not the paradise my mother envisioned where everyone could be happy and all wrongs would be corrected…so she made another plan…however knew your parents would once again attempt to stop her and by extension so would you and your siblings…I didn't want to throw you down that bottomless abyss…which is why I went to get lengths to ensure that after crossing a certain point you'd be teleported to my lab where I could explain you what I'm currently doing now…throwing you down there was something that hurt me deeply…something I literally let myself fall under my mother's control just to accomplish since…I couldn't bring myself to kill you…"
"Vy couldn't you kill me?"
"Christie…we were and hopefully still are close right?"
Christie would nod
"Well the thing is…I felt closer than just best friends…I felt a lot closer…and I saw us as potentially being more than just 2 close friends…which is why I'm here…since I want us to be something more…"
"And if I refuse?"
"The fall leads to my lab…but being brought to my lab results in oblivion…since I'm willingly to go to great lengths to figure out everyone's powers…no matter the tests…"
Christie would shake nervously
"Also now that I think about it…the executioners axe is never that far away…just one simple command…"
"Ok! Ok! Ok! You made your point! I accept your offer!" Christie would nervously respond
Lucy would smile. "I knew you'd make the right choice…"
Lucy would extend her hand to Christie
Christie would hesitate but would take her hand
Lucy would pull Christie off he ice and onto her feet
"Also a gift from my mother…" Lucy would put a necklace around Christie's neck the whole thing lined with power nullifying crystals
"Now come…I'm sure you must be starving…and thirsty…let's go take care of that…than we can get to changing certain things…"
"V-vot zings?" Christie would ask
"Oh nothing drastic…things such as letting your hair grow…maybe using certain make up products…and now that I think about it…finally taking my advice on fashion and what you wear…"
Christie would nervously look at Lucy. "Vy do you vont to change me?"
"It's nothing drastic…just simply put…if your going to be in a relationship with the princess and not a bloody corpse…you'll always ensure your princess is happy…since when a princess is unhappy…let's say…my mother was a great teacher…"
Christie would nervously shake as Lucy would help her to her kart
"Come…we're joining the others at the resort…you'll get to see Jr…he's been dying to see you…"
"R-really?"
"Yes…now buckle up…I don't want you hurting yourself…"
"You seem to go from caring to threatening a lot…" Christie would mutter
"What was that?" Lucy would look at her
"NOSING!" Christie would respond nervously
"Good…" Lucy would respond and start the kart
