Hey everyone and welcome to my new One Piece fanfiction. This chapter will cover the entire Orange Town Arc, it's only a few minutes long so I didn't have a problem covering it all in a single chapter.

Author's note: If you remember, earlier in the story I asked you readers if Light should or shouldn't have a harem. After listing to your responses and taking a lot of time to think it over I came to a decision and decided—Light will not have a harem.

I decided that it just wouldn't be something he'd have enough interest in to try and pursue and it just wouldn't fit with the story I am trying to make. I know this might disappoint a few of you but this is the decision I've made.

Enter Talented Thief: Nami

It was another day at sea. Clear skies, crystal blue ocean with hardly any waves, and seagulls flying by. Sailing through the sea on this tranquil day was a medium-sized fishing boat carrying three sailors.

It had been two days since Light, Silk, and Zoro left Shells Town and they were currently on their way to the next Island. Silk was reading a map, Zoro was just resting against the side and Light sat at his usual spot at the front of the boat, staring off at the distance.

Zoro let out a yawn. "Man, it feels like we've been sailing for ages. How long until we reach land?"

"Be patient, according to the map, the next Island is close by." Silk informed him. "We'll reach Orange Town in about an hour."

"That's good to hear." Light joined the conversation. "I'd like to reach some solid ground before long."

"Don't you find it strange that someone trying to be King of the Pirates is always the first one to get tired of sailing?" Zoro noted.

"I'm not tired of it." Light argued, still looking toward the sea. "I enjoy sailing, for the first few hours, but after that, you realize how empty the ocean is. No winds, or waves, or anything but clear waters. How can you find that anything but boring."

Zoro leaned back. "Fair point."

"You gotta remember, Captain. East Blue is known for its quiet and tranquil oceans, unlike you, most people enjoy the peace." Silk reminded him.

"You will, if we wanted peace we wouldn't be sailing on a great advantage to the Grand Line." Light said before looking to Zoro. "Anyways, since now seems like I good time, I've been meaning to ask, why'd you become a Bounty Hunter?"

"I don't remember ever calling myself a Bounty Hunter." Zoro retorted before explaining. "I set out onto the open seas in search of just one man but then I couldn't get back to my village. By that point, I had no choice to go after Pirate Ships to earn a living."

"You were traveling alone that whole time without knowing how to navigate?" Silk questioned, finding it strange how he never ran into problems like that.

"Not exactly, at some point, I met some guys who wanted to Pirate hunt with me and we traveled together for a while." Zoro informed them. "But after that, we parted ways and I've been traveling alone since."

"This man you were searching for, it's safe to assume you mean the current Word's Greatest Swordsman." Light said. "I'm sure you know that someone like that would be in the Grand Line, so why were you looking around East Blue?"

"I started off trying to find a way to get to the Grand Line but it was a lot harder than I was expecting, still it wasn't like I was in a rush, I'll find him when I find him." Zoro waved it off.

"You know, that's pretty laid back considering how serious you sounded when you first told us about your dream." Silk pointed out.

"I am serious, I may not know when I find him, but I will." Zoro said with more determination. "No matter what, I'll become the Strongest Swordsman in the world."

"Strongest…" Light thought before asking. "Tell me, do you want to be great or do you just want to be strong?"

Zoro raised a brow. "Is there a difference?"

"In the past, I didn't think so." Light then wistfully looked up at the sky. "But, I learned it a while ago. There's a big difference between being strong and being great."

Zoro seemed interested in hearing what that difference was, but before he could ask, they were interrupted.

"Hey, there are three people in the water up ahead." Silk told them, pointing forward so the other two could notice them. "Also, I think there's capsized boat next to them."

"Must have had an accident at sea." Light figured.

"Lots go see if they know how far we are from Orange Town." Zoro suggested.

Deciding to go and assist the castaways, Light shifted the direction of their boat and they headed in their direction. After a few minutes, the castaways spotted them and immediately started shouting for help. Light raised his hand as a reply to say they were coming. As they closed in, they could see what the castaways looked like, they were three grown men who were wearing similar clothes and were pretty scrawny. One had fluffy orange hair, another had a black buzzcut, and the third wore a hat with a skull-and-crossbones print on it, oddly enough, the skull-print had a red clown nose on its face.

As the trio stopped the boat next to the castaways, Light, Zoro, and Silk moved back so that the three men could climb onto the boat. However, the moment the castaways were on their brought, each of them took out a blade and pointed their weapons at them as they gave them threatening looks.

"This ship is now the property of the Buggy Pirates!" The one in the hat declared. "Try to resist and we'll kill you!"

Light, Zoro, and Silk stayed silent and completely relaxed. They looked at the attackers for a second, then at each other, then back at the attackers again.

.

.

.

.

"So, mind telling me why you three drifting in the ocean?" Light asked, sitting in front of them.

"O-Of course, sir." The Pirate in a hat answer, much more polite than before.

Their attempt at stealing the boat ended failing miserably and as a result, the three of them were now sitting submissively before Light with bumps on their heads and they were being interrogated.

"We were just sailing by and heading back to land, where the rest of our crew was when out of nowhere, we ran into this orange-haired girl." The hatted Pirate looked irked just mentioning her. "She was a real witch, she stole our boat, our treasure, and left us in a spot where a huge squall made the boat we were on capsize."

"Orange-haired girl?" Zoro zoned in on that part, looking at the others. "Do you think it's the from the base?"

"It's possible, but orange hair isn't all that uncommon." Silk shrugged.

"You said you were part of the Buggy Pirates." Light continued. "In that case, why were the three of you sailing by yourselves? And where's your Captain?"

"The Captain's taken over Orange Town for now. We had a major storm about a week ago so we needed to raid a dockyard for supplies." Supplied the one with a buzz cut.

"Lost half of our cannons overboard, and our rigging too." The one with the hat went on. "The three of us were sent out on our little raid of our own, and we were coming back when he ran into the orange-haired girl!"

After hearing their explanation, Light turned back to his crew. "I take it we all know who Buggy is?"

Zoro nodded. "He's pretty infamous, unlike most Pirate I've hunted his Bounty and reputation is enough to drive a few Marines away."

"He's got to titles to go with his name, Buggy the Clown and Buggy the Immortal." Silk added. "The first one is pretty self-explanatory but I don't really get the second one."

"When, we'll find out soon enough, after all, he's at the place where we're going." Light reminded them before staring back at the ocean. "Straight course to Orange Town."

After an hour of sailing, they finally came in sight of Orange Town. The Island itself was slightly smaller than the last one they were on. The Town itself made up a percentage of the Island while the rest of the Island aside from the town was mostly greenery and grassy hills.

By Light's order, their boat didn't dock at the main harbor where the Pirates they picked up said Buggy's ship was docked and instead, they sailed to a small shoreline outside of the town. As they arrived, Light turned to the members of the Buggy Pirates and addressed them.

"After we dock, you can go back to the rest of your crew or whatever." Light told them.

[T-Thank you.] Though they all seemed grateful, on the inside they were nervous.

Deep down they were afraid to go back to the rest of their crew. When they thought of what their Captain Buggy would do to them when he finds out they failed and lost the treasure they were supposed to bring back they felt a cold sweat on the backs of their necks. Though, Light wasn't aware of this.

As the boat stopped and they reached land, Light hopped off the boat and onto the ground while Zoro and Silk were tying up the sail.

"I'm gonna check out the town."

Without even waiting for a response, Light walked away and up and upwards sloop to enter Orange Town.

As Light walked through the street he looked around to fully take in the town's appearance. It was a rustic place with bright cobblestone streets and beautiful buildings on either side of them—Mostly houses but with the occasional shop. Aside from that, the seemed like it was deserted, it was as quiet as a ghost town.

While moving through the deserted streets Light thought to himself. "It looks like the townspeople ran off after Buggy and his crew showed up."

Suddenly they heard a scream breaking their thoughts and turned around in time to see that someone was running towards them. The one being chased was none other than the same orange-haired girl who was sneaking around the Marine base. Now with a map clamped tightly in her hands she running as fast as she could from a group of men chasing after her—Each one looking angry and carrying a Sword.

"So, it was her…" Light muttered, recognizing the girl and knowing she was the one the Pirates from before were talking about.

She didn't seem to notice him as she kept running until she crashed into him and fell to the ground, though from her perspective it felt like she ran into a brickwall. Though Light didn't budge and just looked down at her.

"Ow!" The girl rubbed her face. She then looked up to see what it was she ran into and had a surprised look on her face we saw realized it was Light. "You?"

"You alright?" Light asked, sounding more like a mild curiosity than concern.

Soon the men chasing her stopped after reaching them and seemed interested in who this new arrival was, though most of their attention was focused on the girl.

As she stood back up, he saw an opportunity to escape, and she took it without a second thought. She then walked to him, and clasped her hands together, she said in an excited voice. "Oh, hey Boss, thanks for coming to save me!"

"Boss?" Light said, tilting his head in confusion.

But instead of answering, she turned and ran away, calling back. "They're all yours now, Boss! Have fun!"

"What was that all about?" Light wondered, still confused.

"Hey! That girl's getting away!" One of the Pirates yelled angrily.

"That's ok." The second said, looking at Light with a rather evil grin. "We've got her Boss now."

"You're in trouble kid." The third Pirate said, holding up his Sword. "You should've let your crony fend for herself."

The men who were chasing the girl glared at Light, who was still watching the girl run down the street. But Light finally noticed them and asked bluntly, as if he didn't hear what they said. "I'm guessing you guys are Buggy Pirates?"

The three of them surrounded him as one of the Pirates came closer and held up a fist. "That's right! And we don't take kindly to those who steal from us!" He yelled smugly as he threw a punch.

Light just held up his hand and caught the punch with his palm. As the Pirate became surprised that his fist was stopped, Light used his grip to quickly pull the man in closer and headbutted him in the face. The force of Light headbutt immediately knocked him out as Light let go of him and the Pirate crumbled to the ground.

"You bastard!" The second Pirate cursed.

With that, the two other Pirates charged, ready to take him out. Of course, it was no contest. They tried attacking Light from both sides but Light responded by raising both of his arms and caught both of their Sword, after that Light jumped and kicked out both of his legs at them. That took them both out with one kick to the head each… Now all three of them were lying unconscious on the ground like broken toys.

"Wow!" A voice exclaimed.

Light looked, and sure enough, there was that same girl looking over the roof edge, down at Light. She stared at the beaten Pirates before she called to Light.

"You're really strong!" Light looked up at her as she jumped down to the balcony below her, calling out in an impressed voice. "Even though both of them had sabers you beat them barehanded."

"It's not hard to beat armed opponents after enough practice." Light brushed it off before asking what was really on his mind. "That aside, this is the second time we've met but I still don't know your name. Who are you?"

"I'm a talented thief who steals strictly from Pirates. The name's Nami." The now named Nami answered. "Hey, wanna team up with me?"

"Team up you say?" Light asked.

"Yeah, let's work together." Nami explained her proposition. "I'm a great thief with a lot of experience and you're a pretty strong fighter, if we team up I bet we'll be able to score lots of treasure, it'll be great."

"I see, not a bad offer. But Nah, I think I'll pass." Light answered her coolly as he started walking away. Nami blinked down in surprise at that.

"Hold on!" She yelled after him as she followed him. "At least think about it first!"

A little while later, the two found themselves in one of the large houses in town. After a bit of convincing, Nami brought Light here so that they could continue their conversation. They were currently in a dining room sitting at a table.

"An upside to the town being deserted is that no one will say anything if I help myself to use one of the houses." Nami pointed out.

"I doubt the people leaving here would agree with you." Light commented.

"Moving on, just try to consider it." Nami urged him to reconsider. "I'll be able to steal a lot more treasure if you're with me and you'd get a cut of the profits as well."

"Meaning, you want to take advantage of me and then leave with all the treasure." Light corrected with a grin.

Nami averted her gaze with a hint of embarrassment. "N-No, I wouldn't do that."

"Hypothetically, even if I were to team up with someone, we would at least need a minimal amount of trust, and I have trouble trusting you." Light informed her. "After all, just minutes ago you set me up as your decoy and ran off, I was fine but if it had been someone else they would have been killed. You're telling me you don't care if others die as long as you can get away?"

"No! That's not…" Nami let out a sigh before calming herself. "Look, we got off on the wrong foot. Let's start over."

"Okay, tell me why those guys were chasing you?" Light requested.

"It's because I stole their map." Nami answered, holding up a folded map.

"Is a map that important to them?" Light asked confused.

"This one is." Nami said with a self-assured grin.

Light decided to simply take her word for it. "When did Buggy and his crew arrive here."

"They…" Nami blinked for a second before asking a question herself. "Wait, how did you know they were the Buggy Pirates?"

"On the way here we sailed past three Pirates lost at sea who said they were part of the Buggy Pirates." Light answered her. "Also, they said their boat, their treasure, and everything else they had was stolen by an orange-haired witch."

"How rude, I'm not a witch." Nami scoffed before moving on. "Still, I guess they were lucky that someone found them before they drowned."

"Anyways, answer my question now." Light asked of her.

Nami nodded, filling him in on what she had learned. The villagers had retreated from the town the moment Buggy's Pirate flag had appeared over the horizon, which was just as well. "You should see the damage done to the other side of town, Buggy fired some kind of special cannonball and leveled that entire half of it including the mayor's house. Since then, which apparently happened at least four or five days ago Buggy and his crew have been partying between looting the shipyard to the ground."

"The shipyard's gone?!" Light let out a disappointed groan as he slumped on his chair. "Ahh, that was the whole reason we came here."

"Well, you could still help me steal Buggy's treasure." Nami offered again.

"Why do you want to steal treasure so badly?" Light looked up at her.

"I'm a thief who steals from Pirates, I have to steal a Pirates treasure if they're nearby." Nami answered with a hint of pride.

"In that case, I don't think we can work together." Light used his hat to cover his eyes.

"Why not?" Nami raised a brow.

"Nami, I'm a Pirate." Light confessed to her.

At once, Nami's happy expression turned sour. It was startling how her mood had shifted to a much colder expression with her smile quickly turning into a frown. She glared hard at Light. "You're what?!"

"It's the truth." Light went on, not concerned about the change in her demeanor. "I figured I should let you know."

Nami sighed. "I guess you're right then, we can't work together, not when I know you are a Pirate." She said darkly.

"You don't like Pirates?" Light asked offhandedly.

SLAM!

Nami slammed her hands on the table angrily. "There's nothing in the world that I despise more than Pirates!" She almost screamed at him. "I only love money and tangerines!"

"Money and tangerines?" Light tilted his head slightly. "I get money but why tangerines?"

"None of your business!" Nami snapped at him.

"Whatever." Light sat back up. "That said, without my help, you should probably give up on stealing Buggy's treasure."

"There's no way!" Nami rejected the very idea. "I have to get my hands on that treasure no matter what."

"Why's that?" Now Light was interested to hear why this was so important to her.

"Because…" Nami stopped before answering, she didn't know why she going to answer him so quickly, it just felt natural. After thinking it over she decided there was no harm in it so she came clean. "It's because my goal is to earn 100,000,000 beli's, no matter what I have to do or how long it takes." She then took the stolen map and tucked it under her shirt. "I'm won't get into why I need it, but it's everything to me. And with this chart of the Grand Line, that goal is within reach, so I can't afford any more setbacks."

"A Grand Line sea-chart?" Light became surprised when he heard that detail. "Does that mean you're a navigator?"

Nami gave him a proud smile and said, with no hints of humility. "I'm the most skilled navigator you're ever likely to meet."

"That probably true considering you're the only navigator I've met." Light told her as though he agreed. "But all the navigating skills in the world won't help if you can't actually get to the Grand Line and use that chart."

"My plan was to figure something out after I got away with the chart." Nami explained. "Now that I have it, I'm working out the rest."

As they continued their conversation, Light got up and walked out the door as Nami followed after him. Despite finding out that he was a Pirate—Which she claimed to hate more than anything—Nami was still interacting normally with Light after the initial shock had passed. As they walked through the streets, they kept talking.

"I'm curious though, how exactly did you hope to steal Buggy's treasure?" Light asked her as they moved through the deserted town. "I mean you couldn't even beat a few of his grunts on your own."

"Please, just how long do you think I've been at this?" Nami brushed off his doubts. "I'm an expert at stealing from Pirates, there are plenty of ways to steal while avoiding a confrontation."

"Trust me, I know." Light commented offhandedly.

"Hmm, what does that mean?" Now Nami looked curious.

"Back when I was a kid I used to go around swiping treasure myself." Light admitted with a shrug. "There were a lot of rich people where I grew up so there was no shortage of targets, I did it all the time."

"Really? So you're a thief too?" Nami questioned, not expecting that.

"No not thief, burglar." Light corrected.

"What's the difference?!" Nami snapped.

"Anyways." Light ignored her as he continued. "I stopped doing that a while ago, the only reason I stole all that treasure was so I'd be able to buy a ship after a became a Pirate."

"Then… Exactly how much treasure are we talking here?" Nami whispered while leaning closer, as though they were discussing something of great importance. "I mean. you still have it with you right?"

"It's in a sack back on the boat I'm using, as for how much." Light thought it over. "I'm can't remember exactly how much, but I'd been stealing treasure over the course of a really long time so there's a tone of it, I'm almost certain it's more treasure than whatever amount Buggy has."

After hearing that, Nami's thought process halted, and as quick as a new idea came to her, she began to look back to Light with a wicked grin… Meaning that she had a plan to make her rich.

Light didn't seem to notice as she kept on staring at him—Like how a cat would when it was stalking a bird.

"You know, I might have spoken too soon before, I think I could consider with you but only if you're willing to hear me out on my plan." Nami said with a sweet tone that got Light's attention.

Light for his part seemed confused by her sudden change in attitude. "But before you said—"

"Looks like I found you." Light and Nami both turned at the sound of an unexpected voice to see Zoro leaning against the side of a building by the corner of the street next to them. "Finding a person in an empty town was surprisingly easy."

"What are you talking about?" Now Silk appeared, walking up from behind him looking visibly annoyed. "You clearly can't find anything?"

"Don't blame me for the fact that you got lost." Zoro grumbled at her.

"I got lost?! You mean you got lost!" Silk snapped at him.

"What's going on?" Light asked, not knowing what the issue was. "What do you mean lost?"

They both walked up to Light as Silk closed her eyes exasperatedly and explained. "After you left, while I was tying the ship to the harbor, Zoro headed off saying he was going after you. But the second he walked around a corner, I completely lost sight of him, then after running around in almost every direction, I found him back at the harbor where the boat was while he was asking how moved to a different spot."

"This town just has a complicated layout!" Zoro reasoned.

"You just went in a circle!" Silk accused him.

"Whelp, the important thing is your both here now." Light smiled.

"Don't just brush it off, you're only encouraging him." Silk told him still upset.

Nami who just stood there in witness to this strange conversation wasn't sure how to react. "…Uhh?"

"Oh, right." Light apparently just remembered she was there and began the introductions. "Nami, this is my crew—Zoro and Silk. Silk, Zoro, this is Nami."

They both quickly recognized her as Zoro spoke. "Oh, it was the same girl from before."

"Pretty strange coincidence that we all came to the same Island two times in a row." Silk noticed.

Nami was able to recognize them as well as the two she saw with Light back at the Marine base in Shells Town. But after taking a good look at Zoro, the three Swords on his waist, and the fact that she heard his name, Nami's eyes widened.

"Zoro? As in the Pirate Hunter Zoro?" Nami asked completely taken aback. "Why are you part of a Pirate crew?"

Zoro shrugged. "Things just worked out that way."

"So what were you two talking about before?" Silk asked them.

"A few things, for starters, turns out that the Buggy Pirates totaled the shipyard." Light informed them.

"Huh, you mean we won't be able to get a ship?" Zoro sounded both disappointed and annoyed.

"Looks like it." Light confirmed, also unhappy.

But suddenly, his attention was then distracted when he noticed that there was a small, white dog with beady black eyes looking back at him. He was sitting in front of the building, which they soon realized was a pet food shop. The little dog, around a foot tall with long ears and a wide mouth with really soft-looking fur sitting in front of the shop.

"What's with this Dog?" Zoro wondered, just now noticing it.

"Has…Has it been there this whole time?" Silk asked, finding it strange that none of them noticed that a Dog was right next to them until now.

Light kneeled in front of the Dog and waved his hand at it but got no response. "Well, he is pretty quiet, which is weird for a Dog. He's kinda like a statue."

"I don't give a damn, he can still there forever for all I care." Zoro huffed dismissively.

Nami went to one knee and reached out to pet the Dog. "Did you think his owners abandon him or something?"

"Hey, get away from there you punks!" An angry voice yelled out and got everyone's attention.

They down the street as an elderly-looking man with gray hair that has been arranged in three lumps and wearing brown armor covering up his street clothes began to approach them.

"And who might are you, old man?" Zoro asked rudely.

"Old man?" He repeated irritably. "Why I'm the mayor of this town. Who are you and what are you doing with ChouChou?"

Later, after learning that they weren't hostile nor were they from this Island, the mayor calmed down. Now they all sat down by the street, Zoro sat cross-legged, and Light sat with his back leaning against the building wall.

"I see, so you came here to buy a ship?" The mayor asked looking down. "I'm sorry to say that the shipyard has been completely ransacked by those Pirates already so that won't be possible."

"We heard." Light replied, not sounding too bothered. "No need to apologize though, we'll figure something else out."

"So this dog's name is ChouChou?" Nami asked as she petted the Dog's head.

"Why does he just sitting there like that?" Silk said asking the mayor. "He hasn't moved an inch."

"He's guarding the store." The mayor answered her casually.

"He's guarding it?" Nami repeated in confusion before she looked up and said. "Oh, I see, it's a pet food shop."

"That's right." The mayor answered. "And the man who used to run this shop was a very close friend of mine." As he got a bowl of food for ChouChou. "There you go."

As the Dog helped himself to the bowl of Dog food placed in front of him, the mayor told them a story.

"When he passed, I assumed the responsibility of taking care of ChouChou." The mayor told them.

"So his owner is dead?" Light asked casually.

"Yes, three months ago after fighting his illness for a very long time." The mayor went inside the store as he talked.

"Don't tell me he's been waiting for his master to return all this time?" Nami guessed the reason.

"That seems to be the consensus." The mayor came back outside and sat on the porch. "But I find that very hard to believe." The mayor added as he puffed on a pipe, gazing at the Dog as he continued to eat. "ChouChou's a Smart Dog. He's probably known for a while that his master isn't coming back."

Nami looked confused as she asked, "Then why does he stay here at the store?"

"I guess because he's got a connection to it," The mayor answered simply, a hint of sadness in his tone, "It's his… Treasure. He's guarding it. His master left him with this shop and that's why he protects it. I've tried to take him back to my place so that he's not out in the elements but he won't take so much as a step away from it."

ChouChou let out a yawn before he placed the now-empty food bowl in front of the mayor as he returned to his original spot in front of the store.

Nami cracked a small smile and whispered. "…His treasure huh?"

"Sometimes the most valuable treasures are the things that we value in our hearts." Light suddenly spoke out, getting everyone's attention while he placed his hand on his hat. "Everyone has one or two things that have sentimental value to them, but for some of us, it's something irreplaceable that means the world to us. Even though to others it may seem ordinary or worthless, to us, it's more priceless than Gold."

Both Zoro and Silk let out a smile after hearing those words, after all, they could fully appreciate their meaning. Zoro placed a hand on his Sword with the white hilt while Silk looked up at the sky and fondly remembered her home.

The mayor was also smiling, somewhat touched by Light's speech. While Nami looked happy as well, she also looked at him curiously. "Are you really a Pirate because I'm starting to doubt it?"

The mayor heard her and looked taken aback at Light. "Wha?! You're a Pirate?"

"All three of us are Pirates." Light harmlessly admitted, gesturing to his crewmates. "But, we're one of those unorthodox Pirate crews."

"Meaning we act nothing like a Pirate crew." Zoro added, laid-back. "We have done a single Pirate-like thing since I joined this crew."

"Need I reminded you that you only joined this crew two days ago?" Silk jokingly pointed out.

Seeing how they interacted and based on the time he spent with them so far, the mayor decided to relax. "Well, even if you are Pirates, you still seem like good people to me."

"Pirates, good people?" Zoro snorted a bit. "I never heard that one before."

"Look at it this way, Pirates are fundamentally just sailors who happened to be wanted by the law." Light pointed out. "It's not like we're required to act like bad people."

Hearing that made Nami narrow her eyes and look away as she whispered bitterly. "But most Pirates just are."

"Moving on, I've come to a decision." Light announced as he stood up. "We're going to bring down the Buggy Pirates."

.

.

.

[Huh?!]

Though Silk and Zoro seemed caught off-guard by that announcement, they didn't have any intention of objecting, on the other hand, Nami and the mayor had no idea what to make of it.

"I figure we first find out where they are and then head there." Light went on.

"Sounds reasonable." Zoro nodded.

Wait a minute!" Nami stood up in her outburst. "What are you guys talking about?!"

"Eh? I just said we're going to take out Buggy and his crew." Light repeated somewhat annoyed. "You really atta pay attention."

"That's not what I meant!" Nami snapped at him.

"Hold on." The mayor looked concerned at them. "Don't tell me you're seriously considering fighting those Pirates. That's too dangerous, not to mention impossible."

"Exactly." Nami agreed, relieved someone here had common sense. "Buggy is a big-time Pirate around here, and he has his entire crew with him. There are only three of you guys, you'd be dead before you could even reach him."

"You're underestimating us and overestimating them." Silk brushed off her warnings. "We're all used to taking out hordes of enemies while outnumbered, this'll just be business as usual."

"She's right, and based on what we've seen of them already, Buggy's cronies aren't anything special." Zoro let out a yawn.

"You're wrong, unlike the ordinary members of the crew, Buggy has a few top members who are much more terrifying than the rest." The mayor warned them, still hoping to talk them out of it. "And on top of that, there's Buggy himself. He terrorizes the people here with his Devil Fruit powers."

That got the attention of all four of them.

"Devil Fruit powers?" Light repeated.

"That's right, I don't quite understand it myself, but those strange powers make it pretty much impossible to fight him." The mayor explained. "It's like one crazy nightmare or something."

"I heard of Devil Fruits before but I always thought they were just a myth." Nami admitted.

"I've been traveling around for years but I've never seen one before." Zoro commented.

"I have." Light told them.

"You have?" Silk blinked. "When?"

"It was before I met any of you. I was a kid at the time." Light informed them. "But it was definitely real. So, what power does Buggy have?" He asked the mayor.

"Like I said, I don't know exactly." The mayor answered honestly.

Light shrugged. "Well, it's not like it really matters, we're still going to fight him regardless."

"No, what's it going to take to get you to understand that's a bad idea?!" Nami became increasingly frustrated.

"It's like we really have a choice, after all, I already fought and defeated some of their members when we first arrived here." Light reminded her. "By now their buddies probably found them and brought them back, they told them I was responsible and now they'll be out looking for me."

Well, even if that's true, they'll only be looking for you, so as long as the rest of us don't do anything we can just leave and this'll all blow over." Nami reasoned.

"We finally found you!"

A new voice called out to them and they all looked to see two people arrive down the street. Judging from how they were dressed, they were also members of Buggy's crew, and both were also wielding sabers.

"You must be the one's who knocked out our friends a little while ago." One of the Pirates accused with a cocky grin.

"Not only that, the girl who stole the chart is here too." The other one focused his gaze on Nami.

As Nami and the mayor became nervous and thought about running away, Light simply signaled for Zoro and Silk to take care of it and they both looked happy to do so as they both got up and rushed in.

SLING!

In a flash, Silk unsheathed her Sword and Zoro unsheathed one of his three, with their weapons drawn, the two Swordsmen closed the distance and slashed the two Buggy Pirates before they even knew what hit them. Their sabers broke and they both hit the ground unconscious with a cut over their shoulders.

"Well, that woke me up." Zoro resheathed his Sword.

"Hopefully it'll be that fast with the rest of the crew." Silk resheathed her Silk.

The mayor was agasped as he stared at them with amazement at how they dispatched them so easily. Meanwhile, Nami looked completely dismayed.

"What are you two thinking?!" Nami yelled at them. "Do you know what you've done?!"

Zoro put a hand on his chin as he pretended to ponder. "Hmm, yeah now that you mention it, I think we just rushed in without thinking and took out more of Buggy's grunts."

"What a terrible mistake, now they'll be after us too so we have no choice but to fight Buggy as well." Silk played along with amusement. "Oh well, mistakes happen sometimes."

"Are you making fun of me?" Nami clenched her fist, becoming fed up with their antics.

"Nami, the end result is the same." Light told her seriously. "You can go hide somewhere if you want to, but we're going to fight. I've only been here for less than a few hours but I really like this town, that's why I don't want to leave it in the hands of someone like Buggy who would terrorize its people. Instead, I'm going to save this town."

Light finished his sentence was a smile, it was brash but had a strange gentleness to it that showed he truly did care. That silenced and surprised Nami, for a few personal reasons but also because she never thought she'd hear those words from a Pirate.

"…You…"

Before she could say anything else though, the mayor interrupted her.

"I'm pathetic!" He declared, and he was shaking all over, though they weren't sure if it was from anger or fear here. "ChouChou and you young ones have fought so hard and yet, I… the mayor, have done nothing but sit back and watch our town be obliterated by Buggy and his despicable crew!"

Nami went up to him, trying to calm him down. "Calm down, it's not that bad."

"40 years ago this whole area was nothing but baren rugged land." The mayor went on to explain. "We all worked together to create fields for our crops, we opened stores and built everything from the ground up!" He declared, before hardening his resolve. "This town is a treasure to me and all its citizens! From here on out! I refuse to let Buggy and his crew terrorize us anymore!"

But almost on cue, from a distance a cannon had fired one of its cannonballs, except unlike any ordinary cannonball, this one was much more potent and carried a large amount of explosive power, destroying rows of houses, once of which was the mayor's.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The aftermath was a path of destruction made by rubble and the remains of the houses that were hit. Nami and the mayor looked horrified at the damages.

"What was that?" Silk asked, surprised by the sudden explosion.

"A Buggy Ball." The mayor breathed out.

"Run that by again?" Zoro asked, not understanding.

"I heard about it when I got here." Nami started to explain. "It's a special kind of cannonball Buggy uses that's way stronger than regular ones."

But apparently, this was just one explosion too many for the mayor as he hissed to himself. "I refuse to let him get away with this! I won't stand for it. I can't let that scumbag destroy all that my people worked for these last 40 years. I am the mayor of this town! I will protect it and its inhabitants! This I swear to my dying breath!" This last part he screamed out, looking ready to march to Buggy, which was probably what he was gonna do if Nami didn't try to hold him back.

"Stop! You can't defeat Buggy!" Nami tried talking some sense to him.

"Perhaps, but there are some fights that a man can't run from!" The mayor insisted while trying to break free. "Isn't that right?!"

Light smiled at his resolve, however, Silk was the one who answered him. "Yes, you're absolutely right."

"Shut up!" Nami became dismayed. "Don't egg him on, Silk. It's dangerous for him to fight Buggy."

"I know it's dangerous!" The mayor shouted with tears under his eyelids, which surprised Nami.

"It doesn't matter if it's dangerous or not, if you want to protect your treasure then you have been willing to fight for it." Silk proclaimed with confidence. "Even if you have to put your life on the line."

The mayor stopped and looked at her. Nami spoke out. "Why are you trying to spur him on!?"

Silk went up to the mayor. "My town was also my treasure."

Hearing her suddenly confess that surprised both Nami and the mayor, while Zoro became interested.

"In the past, Pirates would attack why home as well, but whenever they came I was already to fight back and stop them." She placed a hand on her weapon. "I was never afraid because that town and all the people leaving there were my irreplaceable treasure and I would have done anything to protect them." Silk looked back at the mayor and firmly said. "If someone appears and tries to take your most important treasure, you can't run or hide, the only option is to fight."

Those words only succeeded in lighting up the mayor's determination even more. "Yes, that's right! I will fight for this town!" He yelled as he ran in the direction the Buggy Ball came from. "I'm coming for you! Buggy the Clown!"

As they watched him go, Nami said what was on her mind. "The mayor was crying."

"Hmm, well, we better go after him." Light decided.

"Looks like the party's getting more exciting." Zoro commented.

"This is no time for joking!" Nami said crossly, clearly upset but Light just smiled at her.

"Silk wasn't wrong with what she said, people should fight for what they care about, but not only that." Light smiled off at the direction the mayor went in. "I like people who aren't afraid to act even if it means risking their lives. So, I'll make sure he survives."

"We were going to fight Buggy anyways, so this just gives us another reason." Zoro said casually as he walked in between them and started getting ready.

"You guys are really going as well?" Nami asked, her voice was soft but clearly worried. "You could get killed."

"What do you care, you're not going?" Zoro reminded her.

"And you're not one of us either, so what difference does it make for you?" Silk also pointed out.

"It's just…" Nami didn't have an answer. She didn't know why so was so insistent on stopping them really, she just didn't feel right in letting others die if she felt there was something she could do to stop it, even knowing they were Pirates didn't change that.

"Why not come with us?" Light suggested.

"What?" Nami looked up at him.

"You still want to steal Buggy's treasure right?" Light offered her. "If you join us for a bit, I'll let you take some of the treasure for yourself, how about it?"

Nami stared at the hand for a moment in surprise.

"I'll never sink so low as to become a Pirate." She finally said, letting him know that she wasn't going to change her mind any time soon. But then, she changed her expression to a smile. "But I suppose we could team up." She said reasonably. "In order to achieve our common goals."

"Good enough." Light decided as they started heading after the mayor.

"I'm taking all the treasure when this is over." Nami immediately decided as though it wasn't up for debate.

"You get half." Light immediately shot down her idea. "Don't get carried away."

"That's actually pretty generous, you getting that much even though you're the only one who'll be doing nothing the whole time." Silk reminded her.

"Sounds like a pretty good deal to me." Zoro agreed.

Nami sighed but knew they had a point so she reluctantly accepted. "All right fine, half."

Before long, the quartet had gotten within range of hearing the party going on top of the town's bar as all the Pirates were running around performing tricks or drinking while dressed as clowns, jesters, or any other time of outfit you'd see someone from the circus wear. The town bar had been the largest of the few three-story buildings in Orange Town, overlooking the small docks and the ships there with the roof set up like an observation deck. Now it was the only three-story tall building, Buggy having destroyed the others. Buggy had set up there with most of his crew along with a cannon set to face the ocean most of the time. Occasionally over the past few days, he had used it to smash houses in the town to pieces while his crew looted the town slowly. But their fun was soon interrupted.

"COME OUT, BUGGY THE CLOWN!" The mayor had appeared before Buggy and his Pirates, holding his spear. "I'M MAYOR BOODLE AND THIS TOWN IS MY TREASURE! I WON'T LET YOU TERRORIZE MY PEOPLE ANY LONGER SO COME OUT AND FIGHT ME!"

"You idiot…" Buggy glared down at the mayor. "This town is no treasure! Treasure is gold, silver, and jewelry! So cut the crap, old man, and get out of here before I kill you!"

"YOU COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL!?" Boodle declared back until Buggy's hand grasped him by the throat.

"Soon I'm going to conquer the Grand Line and flashily obtain all the world's riches!" Buggy commented with a laugh. "And there's nothing you can do to stop me! All the world will belong to me! Now, if this town means so much to you, then perhaps I'll do you a favor and kill you first! That way, you won't have to see me destroy your precious village!"

"Shut… Up…!" The mayor managed. "And fight me already…! I'll… Never let you destroy this town! If it costs me my very life…"

Buggy grinned as his hand tightened around Boodle's neck. The mayor feeling like he was suffocating from Buggy's grip.

"So be it!" Buggy commented and then gasped in surprise.

It seemed that they got there not a moment too soon. By the time they tracked him down, Buggy already had him with his—Surprisingly disembodied hand, and was slowly strangling him—But none of them really focused on that as Light grabbed the hand and forced him to let go of the mayor.

After saving the mayor, Light let go of Buggy's hand and watched it float back up to Buggy as it reattached itself to his wrist. "A floating detachable hand, is that his Devil Fruit power?" He wondered.

"How dare you?" Buggy demanded furiously, "You can't just waltz up and treat me like this! I'm Captain Buggy and I won't stand for it!"

Light looked up to see Buggy for the first time.

Buggy is a slim blue-haired man with an appearance resembling that of a clown, to mirror his epithet. The big, red nose on his face is, in fact, his real nose.

Buggy's face is always covered with makeup, just like a clown, and the motifs change from time to time: in his first appearance he had crossbones going down his face forming an X; he also had two blue lines near both of his eyes, red lipstick and his jolly roger on his hat.

His Pirate Captain attire, he dons a striped white and red shirt with short sleeves, white gloves reminiscent of the ones worn by clowns, a green sash around his waist like many other Pirates, and a pair of loose light-green pants reaching to his calves, just above a pair of striped socks and pointy shoes. He also has a purple scarf around his neck. Hanging from his shoulders there is an orange, fur-lined captain's coat. On his head, he has an orange hat with his jolly roger on it, over a neckerchief with the same pattern of his shirt, and green epaulets.

The name clown seemed to suit him perfectly.

"Looks like we got here just in time." Light grinned.

"Listen to me." Nami said to the crew. "All I want is the treasure and then I'm outta here you got it?"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Zoro said to her unconcerned.

"We got it. Now shut up." Silk dismissively waved her off.

Boodle was kneeling on the ground, rubbing his throat, letting out a few coughs. "Mayor, you alright?" Light wondered.

"Get outta here…" Boodle hoarsely responded. "Why'd you follow me? Your outsiders! Leave this to me! This is my fight and I need to be the one to protect my town!" he picked up his spear again and stood up. "BUGGY IS MY FIGHT!"

"That might be true, but Buggy is our fight too." Light declared, looking up at the clown. "Remember, we're Pirates as well, so it's only natural we'd clash against a rival Pirate crew."

"Even so I—" The mayor still wanted to argue but Light cut him off.

"If it means that much to you, I'll let you join the fight, but sit back for a while and wait for my signal." Light advised him. "Remember, you're the mayor of this town, so you have to live long enough to tell the rest of the townspeople that they're free at least."

The mayor stopped and thought about what Light said, as he lowered his spear, he asked him seriously. "Can I trust you?"

"Yeah." That one word along with a smirk was his only response.

But that was enough to convince the mayor as he relented and moved back to stand beside the others. With that settled, Light walked up to the bar and looked up at it, he saw the name of the bar—DRINKER'S BAR—In big bold letters above the miniature circus tent where Buggy spent most of his time.

"Drinker's Bar?" Light raised a brow. "First Party's Bar, then Cafe & Bistro, and now this? Who comes up with these names?"

"Hey, just who are you supposed to be kid?" Buggy demanded with annoyance. "Are you with the thief who stole my chart of the Grand Line?"

Light pulled his Straw Hat off of his hand and let it hand around the back of his neck, as was his custom before a fight. He then put on a wide D-shaped smile and spoke.

"I'm here to fight you and kick you out of this town!" Light confidently declared before following up. "You red-nosed clown!"

.

.

.

At once, all chanting and cheering stopped as the Buggy Pirates froze where they were, sweat pouring down their faces as they stared, terrified at Buggy. Buggy's eyes widen in rage.

"What's that you said?" Buggy hissed dangerously, looking ready to kill. "Who has a big red nose?!"

"I never said big?" Light muttered to himself wondering what the problem was.

"Oh, you damn, flashy idiot," Buggy growled. "I won't stand for this. TAKE AIM AND FIRE THE BUGGY BALL!" the cannon was aimed right at the four teens down below.

"Why'd you have to say that!?" Nami asked as she ran out of the way of the cannon.

"But he's got a red nose, like every other clown." Light pointed out. "It's even on his Jolly Roger, what's there to be upset about."

"I'm guessing the nose isn't exactly something he's proud of." Silk theorized. "He might have just chosen the clown theme to hide the fact that he's hypersensitive about it."

While they were having their casual conversation, the Buggy Pirates were reading their cannon, Nami and the mayor already ran off to a safe distance and Zoro felt concerned as well.

"You might want to have this discussion some other time?" Zoro remarked. "C'mon, you guys! We gotta go!"

"You go ahead," Light smiled confidently. "I got this."

"It'll be fine." Silk told him, not worried in the least. "Just watch."

"TIME TO DIE!" Buggy screeched angrily. The cannon had fired the Buggy Ball directly at Light. The Straw Hatter never moved a single muscle as the cannonball was shot at him. Light stood firmly and held up his hand as he really out. As the Buggy Ball closed in on him, Light, with almost mocking ease, caught the Buggy Ball in his hand. The ball's momentum was killed, it didn't explode, and Light didn't budge an inch, the Buggy Ball might as well weighted nothing.

Buggy and his Pirates were shocked as their eyes widened and could only wonder what Light even was since he was able to catch the Buggy ball.

"You could've warned me." Zoro muttered as Nami and the mayor gaped at him like a fish out of water while Silk's expression never changed.

Light wasn't done as he pulled back his arm and threw the Buggy Ball back at them. The Buggy Ball flew right back at Buggy and his crew. Each of them screaming out in fear as they were going to be hit with a Buggy Ball for the first time today. The Buggy Ball had destroyed the pub, leaving the place in only rubble and lots of Pirates buried underneath it all.

BOOOOOOOOM!

Light smiled. "That takes care of that!"

"What the hell kinda monster are you!?" Nami yelled with shark teeth, glaring up from her place on the ground.

"I think you freaked her out," Zoro remarked.

"She'll get over it." Silk said knowingly. "I was pretty shocked the first time I saw that myself."

"You mean he's done that before?" Zoro blinked.

Nami started pointing at Light. "No human being can do what you do! Now, explain yourself! What the hell was that thing you did just now!"

"That thing? I just reached out and caught it?" Light honestly didn't know any other way to explain it.

"That's not what I meant! Just tell me how you did it!" Nami yelled. "What're you!? Some kind of freak!"

"Young man, do you also have Devil Fruit powers?" The mayor asked, just as confused but not as aggressive as Nami.

"Not the last time I checked." Light denied his guess. "I just know how to handle myself in a fight."

From the remains of the pub revealed Buggy the Clown. He had used two of his own men as human shields to protect himself from the cannonball.

"How dare you try to flashily do me in." Buggy seethed.

"Unreal." Nami commented folding her arms. "Using his men as a shield."

From the rubble appeared two more Pirates.

One is a man with a muscular torso and thick lips. He wears a white fur vest that covers the area of his chest, blue pants held up by a yellow sash, and shoes in the shape of animal white fur, his hair is the same color as the fur he wore and his hairstyle was shaped like a teddy bear. Beside him is a large lion that shows a fierce expression. His eye colors can be seen as scarlet red sclerae, or vice versa, depending on his mood. His fur is green and his mane is purple.

The other one is a tall slender man with a unique hairstyle that covers half of his face, his hair is light green where it is shaved and dark green where it is longer. He is seen wearing a large blue and white checkered scarf that covers the lower portion of his face, a sleeveless purple coat reaching down to his knees, white pants larger near the end, and held up by a light blue sash and white shoes. His hair is particularly interesting in its design, long on one side and a parallel shaved design on the other. He was riding on a unicycle.

"This was certainly unexpected." One of them complained.

"Who dares to pick a fight with the Buggy Pirates?" The other one sneered.

"Oh, Mohji, Cabaji." Buggy noticed them. "Good, at least you two are still up."

"How do you plan to respond to this insult, Captain?" The now named Cabaji asked.

"I don't know, I'm too angry to even fart." Buggy glared.

"In that case, why not let us go first?" Mohji requested, now riding on his lion's back. "And afterward, I could feed them to Richie." His lion—Richie, grumbled.

"Fine!" Buggy smirked. "But make it a good show for everyone!"

"This is bad, they've come out." The mayor started to sweat.

"You knows those two?" Light asked.

"Yes, they're the top officers of Buggy's crew." Mayor Boodle answered. "Beast Tamer Mohji and Acrobat Cabaji."

Nami gulped. "We might actually be in trouble."

"You think so?" Light didn't seem worried.

"I was expecting more honestly." Silk looked unimpressed.

"This is just lame." Zoro looked disappointed.

"Don't underestimate them!" The mayor warned them. "They may look silly but they're dangerous."

"Anyways." Light ignored them. "I'll take Buggy so, Zoro, Silk, you decide who you want to face."

Upon hearing those words, the three Buggy Pirates honed in on one of the names he just said.

"Wait, did he just say Zoro?" Mohji looked closer and saw how many weapons he had. "He's got three Swords, it must be."

"Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro." Cabaji looked pleased and excited. "So that's who we're dealing with."

Buggy was smiling his usual ugly smile filled with smugness. "So you're Zoro? think I get it now, this is all a bid for my head isn't it?"

Zoro didn't look the least bit interested and let him know it. "Actually you're wrong, I gave up Pirate Hunting, the only reason I'm here now is that I'm following my Captain."

"Your Captain?" Buggy changed his line of sight and saw Light, something about him made his eye twitch. "That hat reminds me of someone I'd sooner forget."

"Interesting, so the Pirate Hunter is now a Pirate himself?" Cabaji noted. "Either way, killing you will boast my reputation."

"Hold it, who says you get to kill him?" Mohji argued, wanting to fight Zoro himself. "I'm more suited for it."

"You and your overgrown cat will just get in the way." Cabaji glared at him.

"Richie and I are much more capable than some stooge on a unicycle." Mohji glared back.

"They're fighting amongst themselves." Light commented emotionlessly.

"Which one do you want?" Silk asked Zoro, hardly seeming to care.

"The one on the unicycle has a Sword. I'll take him." Zoro immediately decided.

"Then I got the one on the lion." Silk accepted.

"Wait, you're going to fight them alone?" Nami questioned incredulously.

"Of course, what other way is there?" Light asked as though it was obvious.

Zoro faced Cabaji while Silk faced Mohji. Cabaji looked satisfied at being the one to fight Zoro.

"You may call me "Acrobat" Cabaji!" Cabaji announced. "Captain Buggy's, Chief of Staff! It's an honor, Roronoa Zoro. As a Swordsman myself, I relish this chance to slay you."

Zoro stared back at him and threatened. "If you try, you'll die."

On the other side Silk was staring down Mohji was looked displeased with her.

"Well this is certainly disappointing, I was hoping to kill Zoro but instead I'm left with some random girl." Mohji complained.

"I'm the one who's disappointed, I only came here to buy I ship, and instead I'm at a knockoff circus fighting some weirdo in a fur-custom, complete with a strange fur hat." Silk chided him.

"That was rude!" Mohji yelled angrily as he pointed to his head. "This is my hair."

"Are you serious?" Silk looked at him with half-lidded eyes.

His angry look being replaced with a dangerously smug one. "You must not know of my terrifying skill! There is no animal in this world that I, The World's Greatest Beast Tamer can't bend to do his bidding!" Mohji then gave her an ugly smirk. "You nameless thief, I'm known as the 'Beast Tamer' Mohji, First Mate of the Buggy Pirates, and you'll be food for my Richie."

Silk unsheathed her Sword. "We'll see about that."

"RAAAAWWR!" Richie roared as he charged at Silk with Mohji on his back.

As the lion bared its fangs at her and went in for the kill, Silk remained where she stood as though she was waiting for them. After reaching her, Richie swung his claws at her to cut through her flesh, but Silk easily stepped back and leaned back to dodge as the claws grazed past her. The lion tried again with his other set of claws but Silk just dodged the same way.

Richie then opened his jaws as wide as he could and leaned forward to try and bite Silk with his deadly fangs. However, this time Silk jumped forward and in the air as she nimbly somersaulted over Richie and Mohji's heads before softly landing on the street behind them.

Now Silk gave him a smirk. "Is that all the 'World's Greatest Beast Tamer' can do?"

Meanwhile, Zoro and Cabaji were just about to begin their fight as Zoro tied his bandana around his head before he unsheathed his Swords and carried one in each hand before placing his third in his mouth.

Cabaji jumped high into the air and landed on the ground. He was holding a sword and was riding a unicycle making his way over to Zoro and was about to strike with his Sword. Until Zoro used his own Sword to block it with the flat of the blade.

"Arsonist Technique!"

Cabaji had blown a stream of fire from his mouth straight in Zoro's face. He followed up with a kick straight into Zoro's mid-section, but Zoro used one of his other Swords to block him with ease.

Cabaji moved back while Zoro lowered his Sword. "Was that your best move?"

"Not even close." Cabaji replied, still confident.

"Acrobat Technique: Murder at the Steambath!"

Cabaji spun his Sword in one hand, sending up dust in the air so Zoro wasn't able to see him.

"Acrobat, my ass." Zoro stated. "That's just an ordinary dust cloud." Zoro quickly blocked Cabaji's Sword that came out from the cloud, blocking it in between two of his own Swords.

Cabaji sneered at him as Zoro pushed him back a second time.

"You annoying little bastard…" Zoro remarked confidently. "Are you really a Swordsman because I'm starting to doubt it."

Back with Silk, as she caught dodging the lion, Richie was starting to get tired and Mohji was starting to get frustrated.

"Damn you." Mohji glared at her. "How long are you going to keep jumping around? Is running away your only skill?"

"Fine, I won't dodge anymore." Silk decided, planting her feet on the ground. "I was getting tired of this anyway."

"You think I'll fall for your tricks!? Get her, Richie!" Mohji yelled.

Richie charged in again at her in a straight line and as Silk said, she made no attempts to move. Instead, Silk gripped her Sword and held out her arm as she once again waited for them to close in.

"You've left yourself, wide-open." Silk whispered, not caring if anyone heard her.

"Edge Slicer!"

Once Richie pounced at her, Silk slashed her Sword in a horizontal arch that sliced the lion. The result was Richie was blown back and hit the ground unconscious with a clean gash over his body, while Mohji was knocked off Richie's back due to the impact and landed on the ground as well.

"Richie!" Mohji shrieked in horror as he ran over to his lion. "No, Richie! Say something, please! Richie!"

Silk didn't wait for him to finish though as she made her way to finish the job, Mohji got up and gave her a look of desperation.

"You! Just how are you so strong?!" He yelled at her.

As he was right in her face, Silk responded by pivot-stepping around him and stopped behind him as she swung back her Sword and slammed the dull side of her blade into the back of Mohji's neck, the impact of this attack sent the Beast Tamer flying toward a nearby house and he crashed into a wall, the wall cracked up and he slumped onto the ground, out cold.

With the fight over, Silk sheathed her Sword and answered his question. "I don't know, how are you so weak?"

At the same time, Zoro was still fighting against Cabaji as Zoro went on to taunt him.

"Are we done messing around?" Zoro questioned Cabaji and smirking. "If so, let me show you. Just how superior my skills are to yours."

"Fool." Cabaji commented. "Are you trying to underestimate me, that's a vast error in judgment. I won't be mocked."

"My Sword's aim to be the World's Greatest." Zoro announced. "I refuse to lose even once to anyone who calls himself a Swordsman. Even someone like you."

"I see," Cabaji said. "A strong resolve keeps you going. But sadly for you, you were destined to fall the moment you became an enemy of the Buggy Pirates. Here's a taste of my Ultimate Acrobat move."

"Acrobat Technique: The Dance Of 100 Kamikaze Tops!"

Cabaji let loose a swarm of spinning tops at Zoro. But they didn't amount to much as Zoro effortlessly sliced the tops in half as they came at him.

"Enough." Once Zoro destroyed all of the tops, he looked back at Cabaji. "I'm tired of your boring sideshow."

Cabaji was visibly insulted but then had a smirk filled with killing intent.

"So sorry to have disappointed you, how about—" Cabaji held up his Sword. "My real Swordsman skills!" He dashed at full speed on his unicycle to slash at Zoro. "DIE ZORO!"

Zoro was ready with his own swords and became prepared with his own attack.

"Oni-Giri!"

Zoro slashed Cabaji with three separate slices across the Acrobat's body.

"Mohji! Cabaji!" Buggy screamed for his two officers who were defeated at the same time.

I can't believe the Buggy Pirates..." muttered Cabaji. "Were defeated by petty thieves..." He fell on the ground onto his back defeated.

"We aren't petty thieves..." Zoro stated as he sheathed his three Swords and removed his bandana. "We're Pirates."

Light smirked in satisfaction at watching his crewmates defeat Buggy's.

Nami and the mayor were completely flabbergasted at the results of the fight.

"I don't believe…" The mayor breathed out. "They beat the two Strongest members of the Buggy Pirates?" He truly couldn't believe his eyes, the Buggy Pirates had terrorized this town and until they were untouched to the townspeople and yet, two strangers just appeared out of nowhere and dispatched them like it was nothing.

"I didn't think they'd be this strong." Nami whispered both shocked and impressed as she turned her gaze to Light. "If they're this good, what kind of monster must he be to be their Captain?"

Zoro and Silk went back to join the others now that the deed was done.

"Well, we're all finished up on our end." Zoro casually noted.

"You're up next, Captain." Silk informed him.

"Yeah." Light nodded and walked past them. "This'll just take a minute."

As Light approached him, Buggy glared hatefully at him before asking. "So, you guys really are Pirates, huh?"

"That's right. We really only came here for a ship, we were going to use it to sail for the Grand Line." Light explained for him.

"Ha!" Buggy laughed mockingly. "That's not an easy voyage, you know! I don't think that three half-wits like the likes of you can handle it! And what will you do if by some miracle you manage to make it there? Go on a sightseeing tour or something?"

"That does sound like fun. But my overall plan is bigger than that. I'm going there to become King of the Pirates." Light claimed with a straight face.

"You can't be serious, you idiot!" Buggy shouted. "If you were King of the Pirates, then that would make me God! There's only one who could be King of the Pirates and obtain all this world's treasures and it's gonna be me, you got it!?"

"Is that what you want?" Light asked with little care. "If you want all the treasure in the world then you can have it, all I want is One Piece."

"Don't you get it!?" Buggy only became angrier. "I'm going to take all the treasures of the world, especially the One Piece!"

"Then that gives me another reason to beat you, let's get started." Light got into a fight stance. Buggy brandished four knives in each of his hands.

"Seeing that Straw Hat brings back memories of him and that really gets my blood boiling." Buggy announced. "So, bring it on, you wanna-be Pirate! You remind me of him. That damn cheeky Red-haired Pirate."

"Red-haired Pirate?" Light questioned as he heard what Buggy had just said. "Wait, are you talking about Shanks? You guys knew each other?"

"That's right." Buggy answered. "I knew Shanks once."

"But he never mentioned someone like you before, how do you know each other?" Light queried.

"Haha, interested are?" Buggy grinned smugly. "Maybe I could tell you, do you really want to know?"

"Well, yeah." Light answered, not noticing Buggy's poor attempt at trying to be obnoxious. "I mean, that's why I asked."

"OKAY! SINCE YOU WANT TO KNOW SO BADLY! I'LL TELL YOU!" Buggy screamed. "But only because you begged me!"

Zoro looked at him dispassionately. "This guy is the biggest flake I've ever seen."

"I didn't think it was possible to be this bored at a circus." Silk agreed with him.

Buggy finally answered the question. "Many years ago, back when I was even younger than you are now, Shanks and I sailed under the same flag.

Light blinked. "So, you and Shanks were members of the same Pirate crew!?"

"Yeah." Buggy stated. "Back when we were Pirates-in-training, we were fellow comrades. That damn, detestable Red-haired bastard!" Buggy's voice held a venom in it as he talked about Shanks.

"But, if you were comrades, why do you hate him so much?" Light found that detail to be strange.

"He's the one person that I loathe. I'll curse his name for the rest of my life." Buggy's face was seething in fury. "As long as there is breath in my body, Shanks... I will never forgive you."

Buggy recalled the story of when he and Shanks were both Pirate Apprentices on a Pirate crew. During a raid on an enemy ship, Buggy found a treasure map marking the location of a valuable underwater treasure; during the same raid, the crew retrieved a Devil Fruit: the Chop-Chop Fruit. When he heard of how much that a single Devil Fruit could go for, Buggy switched the real fruit with a fake and then ate the fake in front of the crew so he could sell the fruit.

The night that he was gonna leave and start his plans, Buggy was surprised by Shanks; he hid the fruit in his mouth, and before he could remove it, Shanks surprised him again and he swallowed it—Forever losing the ability to swim, and thus also losing his chance to get the treasure underwater. In the midst of it all, he dropped his map and dives in after it but soon realizes that he lost his ability to swim due to the fruit. He was saved by Shanks who dove in after him.

From that day forward, Buggy blamed Shanks for making him eat the fruit and has hated him ever since.

"I still don't get it, if Shanks saved your life why hate him?" Light asked.

"No! That's not the point I'm trying to get across!" Buggy retorted. "Because of what he did to me, I was unable to swim and therefore unable to obtain my sunken treasure!"

"But you hid the fruit in your mouth, the worst possible place to hide a fruit." Light reminded him. "You gotta admit you were kinda asking for it back there."

"Yeah, I guess in hindsight I could have been more careful." Buggy rubbed his head with a sheepish smile before immediately sneering again. "NO WAY! I admit nothing! I say it was his fault so there." Then he grinned. "Then I had a revelation! If I couldn't go underwater, then I just obtain all the treasure on dry land! Using my brand-new Chop-Chop powers!" Buggy's torso started to float from his body.

"Chop-Chop?" Light inspected, not losing his calm. "Your powers let you split yourself apart?"

"That's right!" Buggy confirmed, sounding happy to brag about himself. "Not only can I disassemble and reassemble, but while my parts are separated from my body, they become as light as air and I can control them freely."

"That must be why some people call him Buggy the Immortal." Light inwardly deduced.

"Now you answer me." Buggy pointed at him. "How do you know Shanks?"

"To make a long story short." Light placed his Straw Hat on his head. "He gave me this when I was a kid."

"So, you're telling me that hat used to be Shanks' hat!?" Buggy questioned as he angrily stared at the Straw hat on his head. "No wonder it looked so familiar. He always wore it when I knew him."

"It's the same for me honestly." Light admitted. "Since the day he gave it to me, I can't remember a time I haven't worn it. It's my personal treasure."

"How is that old, tattered hat a treasure?" Buggy questioned. "Treasure refers to sparkling gold, silver, and jewels. And all those things reflect their owner's grandeur! You really consider that worthless, dirty Straw hat a treasure?" He asked Light. "You need to grow up, boy."

"I heard those words before and I still say they're wrong, treasure means more than just shiny stuff." Light argued. "They might look pretty and have monotonous value but in the grand scheme of things, they're worthless."

"WORTHLESS?!" Buggy practical exploded at hearing those words. "What kinda Pirate thinks treasure is worthless?!"

Light smiled at him. "The kind that wants more out of life than just being rich."

"Well, too bad." Buggy pointed his hand at him. "Because you're going to die right here!"

"Chop-Chop Cannon!"

Buggy holding four knives in-between his fingers in his hand fired them at Light. Light responded by bringing out his trademark pocket knife and slashed at Buggy's incoming hand.

KATCHIN!

The difference in strength between them resulted in the knives in Buggy's hand being either shattered or knocked away. Buggy retracted his hand.

"Damn, he's stronger than I thought." Buggy complained.

Light looked down at a nearby Sword that was dropped by Cabaji earlier and picked it up as he dashed at Buggy and slashed his head in half, but Buggy easily reassembled.

"Hahahaha! You moron, blades have no effect on me!" Buggy mocked him as he became whole again. "You can't get past my Devil Fruit power."

"He really does have Devil Fruit powers… ?!" Nami whispered in shock. "I never thought I actually see a Pirate with a crazy ability like this!"

"This is what Buggy is capable." The mayor added with dismay. "That power is why no one has been able to stop him."

"Maybe, but if that's the best he can do then he shouldn't be that much trouble." Zoro gave his opinion, stoically watching.

"That kind of power has an obvious weakness." Silk informed them. "It wouldn't surprise me if the Captain already figured it out."

[Weakness?] Both Nami and Boodle became confused.

Buggy stamped his foot as a blade protruded from it. "Try this on for size!."

"Chop-Chop Rice Cracker!"

Buggy sent his legs spiraling at Light. Light jumped into the air to avoid them.

"Can't move in mid-air, can you?" Buggy observed. "Too bad." He threw all of his knives at Light.

"But, I can." With an almost otherworldly ability to dodge attacks, Light twisted and shifted his body in mid-air to avoid the knives. Buggy's legs went back to the rest of his body.

Unbeknownst to Buggy, Light had used Haki—Color of Observation to sense where exactly the knives were going to hit and moved accordingly.

Light then reached down again and picked up a Sword-sheath and used it to sheath the Sword he was holding.

"Oh, have you finally decided to give up?" Buggy taunted arrogantly.

"No, I just figured out a more effective way of fighting you." Light told him, pointing the Sword at him. "I know your weakness."

"My weakness?" Buggy raised a brow in suspicion. "What the Hell are you talking about?"

Light then dashed in again with the sheathed blade in hand.

"I told you! Blades don't work on—Gah!" Buggy gagged out.

The scene that took place was almost comical. Light attacked Buggy by bonking him on the head with the sheathed Sword that was used as a blunt object.

.

.

.

[Ehh?!] Nami and the mayor responded the same way.

"Looks like he did figure it out." Zoro noticed.

"Is he even taking this seriously or do you think this a joke?!" Nami snapped, unable to keep quiet about this ridiculous display.

"What are talking about?" Zoro questioned, not seeing a reason to be upset. "Of course he's being serious."

"If you can't cut something then just beat it to death." Silk explained. "It's just basic logic."

"What are you saying?" The mayor was more worried than upset. "He can't expect to fight Buggy using a Sword that's still sheathed."

"Just relax old man, he knows what he's doing." Zoro assured him.

While nursing a bump on his head, Buggy became visibly upset with Light. "What the hell was that supposed to be?!"

"I told you, I know your weakness." Light repeated. "You're immune to cuts but you can't do anything against blunt attacks."

"So what?" Buggy didn't care if he was aware of that or not. "You planning on bonking me on the head until I give?" He asked amusingly.

"Actually, I have something better in mind." Light answered him.

Light then struck at Buggy again, Buggy tried to dodge but to his surprise, Light was faster than he was and so he couldn't avoid it. This time, Light bashed his blunt object into Buggy's stomach, Buggy let out another gasp of pain. Light didn't give him a chance to breathe as he followed up by smashed the sheathed blade onto Buggy's left cheek which knocked the clown back.

Things just continued from there. Every one of Light's attacks was connecting and damaging Buggy, any time Buggy tried to dodge or counterattack, Light was always able to sense his next move and changed the course of his next attack to hit Buggy before he could succeed. His face, stomach, sides, chest, arms, shoulders, the top of his head, and even his legs. Light relentlessly thrashed every part of Buggy's body he could.

BOINK!

BASH!

CRUSH!

SMASH!

DON!

POW!

BAM!

CRASH!

THUD!

After he stopped, Buggy had literally come to pieces as he collapsed to the ground in a beaten state with bumps and bruises all over his body as he let out a pain-filled groan.

"That… Actually worked?" Nami became dumbfounded.

"I don't believe it." The mayor was flabbergasted.

"We told you he knew what he was doing." Silk reminded them nonchalantly.

Light stared down at Buggy before asking. "You still alive?"

"You damn brat…" Buggy quietly spat out before his head sprung up above his body. "I'll flashily kill you!"

Buggy was beyond furious at this point. No one. Especially not a newly fledgling Pirate crew could get the better of him. Buggy shouted.

"Chop-Chop Festival!"

Buggy's entire body all split apart. His lower body quickly flew past a surprised Light.

"I'd like you two to try and see if you can land any more hits on me now!" Buggy laughed.

"He broke up into smaller pieces?" Light realized. He then looked down at the ground. Light saw Buggy's feet just walking along on their own. "Can his feet not levitate?" He wondered.

"This looks bad, Buggy's Devil Fruit powers make him too unpredictable." Nami started to worry again.

But Zoro didn't say anything as he continued to watch the fight as Light turned his head to face the Swordsman and smiled confidently, looking only at Zoro—And it was as if they were suddenly able to hear each other's thoughts. For a moment, Zoro continued to look confused before a grin appeared on his own face; getting what Light wanted him to do.

"I gotcha, Captain." Zoro said with a smirk.

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Nami asked him as she became even more baffled.

Instead of answering her, Zoro addressed Silk. "Protect the girl." He told her, possibly giving his first order even since he became this crew's First Mate.

"Got it." Silk accepted it with a nod.

Zoro then looked at mayor Boodle. "Old man, follow me."

"What?" The mayor was just as baffled.

Back to the fight, Buggy continued to laugh as his body parts twirled around in the air. "Hahahahaha! This is where you die!"

After that declaration, Buggy once again shot his hands at Light. Both were wielding knives between their fingers. But Light moved forward and dodged them before jumping in the air to reach Buggy's head.

In this form, Buggy had virtually no defense whatsoever and so nothing stopped Light from reaching out to grip Buggy by the face.

"Hey, let go of me." Buggy muffled through Light's hand.

Light then shifted in the air again and through Buggy in the direction of the ruins of the bar, specifically at one of the only things that weren't damaged by the Buggy Ball. The cannon itself.

With a bang, Buggy's head hurled into the unloaded cannon and without the head nearby, the rest of the body parts stopped moving, which gave Light the chance to move in and scoop them all up before throwing all of them into the cannon as well.

"Damn it! What are you trying to pull!" Buggy's now livid voice echoed in the cannon.

Instead of answering, Light turned to the two people beside the cannon and yelled. "Light it!"

Next to the cannon was mayor Boodle with Zoro beside him. Light's plan was to place Buggy's parts inside the cannon then have the mayor fired it to blow Buggy away. And since Buggy said that while separated his parts were lighter than air, he would likely be launched much further than a cannonball and definitely away from this Island.

"Light it!?" Buggy shrieking in horror when he heard that, knowing what was about to happen. "Hey! Wait a second!"

The mayor lit a match and lit the fuse on the cannon. "Hey Clown, how's this for a Buggy Ball?!"

"Stop it now!" Buggy shouted fearfully.

The cannon faced up and fired as Buggy shot out of it, flying high into the air with a small light blinked in the sky before it and the Clown Pirate was sent packing. Whether he landed on land or in the ocean, he certainly wasn't going to land anywhere nearby.

"We did it!" Light celebrated in victory.

"We certainly did." Zoro smiled in satisfaction.

"They actually won!" Now Nami didn't know what to think.

Silk went over to Light. "There should have been less complicated ways to end that fight, why'd you go out of your way to fire him out of the cannon?"

"I told the mayor I'd let him join the fight, so I let him have the winning shot." Light explained. "After all, saving the town meant everything to him."

Silk smiled at him. "That's the kind of answer only you would give."

"Young ones!"

The mayor came down and stood before Light. He tried to find the words but couldn't get them out. Then he just let it all out.

"Thank you!" The mayor cried with tears of joy and gratitude. "Thank you so much!"

Light grinned. "It was nothing old-timer."

"Who are you calling old!?" He snapped through his tears as the others laughed.

Suddenly they heard a loud noise and looked in the direction it came from. At the nearby harbor, a large ship that was clearly Buggy's Ship had unfurled its sails and was now sailing away from Orange Town, with the rest of the crew on it.

"What the?" Nami blinked. "Who's sailing that ship?"

"Buggy's crew." Light answered before explaining. "A few of Buggy's crewmates woke up during the fighting but pretended to be unconscious, while everyone was paying attention to my fight with Buggy, they picked up everyone who was still knocked out, including the lion and all snuck back onto their ship. After seeing Buggy get sent flying, they must have decided to run away."

"You knew all of that?" Mayor Boodle asked confused.

"Did you use that same weird power you used back at the Marine Base?" Zoro asked a Light merely nodded.

"Weird power…?" Nami muttered before shaking her head and staying on topic. "But if you knew why didn't you try to stop them?!"

"I'm confused, why exactly should I have done that?" Light asked her.

"He's right, what reason is there to go after those who want to run away?" Silk agreed.

"Well…" Before Nami could think of a reason, another interruption showed up.

"Hey, you there!"

All the townspeople appeared before the four teens all carrying staffs and spears like they were expecting a fight.

"You're not residents of this village!" shouted a villager.

"No we're not, and who are you?" Light asked.

"I suppose these are the townspeople of this town." Silk noted.

"Oh good, there just citizens." Nami said. "I thought that maybe they were more Pirates."

The villagers noticed Mayor Boodle and walked up to him.

"Oh, mayor! You were here too?" One of them asked.

"What was all that cannon fire earlier? It sounded like there was a battle going on, if you know anything please tell us." A villager requested.

The mayor just stared at all of them before a smile broke out on his face and he looked up at all of them. "Everyone, I have quite the story for all of you."

A little while later, the townspeople were all working hard to repair the damages to their town caused by the Buggy Pirates, what was once a ghost town was now filled to the brim with noise, people, and joy. After the mayor explained everything that had happened and about Light and the others, everyone celebrated at their town being freed with happiness and relief.

Right now, Silk was with Nami who was picking up all the treasure that Buggy kept stored away, Zoro was drinking any alcohol that was left behind that he could et his hands on. While Light, he was on his own, heading to a specific location. Once he arrived, he sat down.

"Hey, Dog." Light greeted.

"Roof." ChouChou barked.

Light had returned to the pet food shop where ChouChou was and sat down next to him. There was no special reason he came here, Light just felt like talking to him again.

"I'm sure you already know this but it's over." Light told him. "We beat Buggy and his crew."

"Woof, woof woof."

"Yeah, the mayor's fine too." Light responded as though he understood him.

"Woof, roof."

"Don't mention, it wasn't all that hard really." Light told him. "I came to talk before we leave."

"Woof."

"Yeah, good luck to you too." Light nodded.

"Captain."

Light looked to see the others walking over to him. Nami and Silk were nothing carrying a sack filled with treasure, while Zoro was just holding a bottle of booze.

"Are we all set?" Light stood up.

"If anything, that clown Buggy knew quality treasure when he saw it and now it's all mine!" Nami stated giddily. "I bet I can sell this for at least 10,000,000 Beli's!"

"You mean half of it is yours?" Silk reminded her. "That was what we agreed on when we started."

"She right, and don't also forget you're the only one who did nothing back there." Zoro reminder her.

"Fine, I know my dues." Nami frowned but didn't argue. "5,000,000 Beli's will do I guess."

"So what do you plan on doing now?" Light asked her. "We still could use a navigator if you're interested.

"I told you before, that no matter what, I'll never join a Pirate crew!" Nami answered stubbornly, but a small smile appeared on her face. "But… Alright. Hanging around with you guys seems profitable enough. Just remember this, I'm only joining you because it's in my interest."

"That's a start." Light accepted that arrangement. "For now, it'll just be an alliance than an actual membership."

With those terms decided on, the four of them decided to head for the shore where they left their boat.

They managed to get out of the town and make it to the shore. While they were getting the boat ready Light looked back at the town.

"Looking back, our time at this town was a lot more eventful than I was expecting." Light commented.

"Still, it'll be harder to get by considering we couldn't get a ship." Silk added.

Light looked as Nami unfurled the sail on her boat that was next to theirs. "Hey, is this your boat?" He asked Nami.

"It's nothing special, but I suppose it'll do." Nami commented. "I stole it from some dumb Pirates."

"Can I ask you something, isn't that Buggy's mark on your sail?" Zoro noticed while looking at Nami's boat.

"Well, this did use to be Buggy's boat." Nami pointed out. "Think I should change it?"

"Young ones!" Now the mayor arrived before them. "Are you leaving already?"

"Yeah, we are." Light confirmed. "We already finished what we came here to do, so it's time for us to set out."

"In that case, I wish you the best." The mayor decided, still filled with gratitude. "We'll all be working hard to fully repair our town."

Light then picked up one of the sacks filled with treasure. "Here, take this."

"Wha? The treasure?" The mayor responded in shock. "But why?"

"If you want to fix the town completely, it's going to cost you, so use this to make it easier."

Light dropped it in his hands and the mayor caught it, looking at him with gratitude again. On the other hand, Nami looked taken aback by his actions.

"That was 5,000,000 Beli's he just gave away!" Nami said miffed.

"Let it go, the townspeople have already been through enough after their town got trashed for so long, it wouldn't be right to just take all the treasure and leave them with nothing."

"I can't begin to thank you enough. If you ever wish to return now that you'll always be welcome." The mayor promised.

"We'll keep that in mind." Light nodded

Light hopped onto his boat, so did Silk and Zoro while Nami boarded her one. With that, the two boats set sail and started sailing away from Orange Town. As they were sailing off, not only mayor Boodle but the rest of the townspeople had all gathered by the shore and were waving goodbye while shouting words of gratitude for saving them and the town.

Zoro became amused when he saw that. "That's twice in a row, we keep getting a hero's send-off despite being Pirates."

"Would you have prepared they chase us away while shouting curses?" Light asked jokingly.

"Nah, it works either way." Zoro leaned back. "Besides, it might be unusual because we're a pretty unusual group. Three Pirates and a petty thief sailing together."

"How rude." Nami huffed at him. "I only steal from people who deserve it! Pirates! So don't compare me to some scumbag, petty thief."

"You say that but didn't we see you sneaking around inside the Marine base back at Shells Town?" Silk pointed out with half-lidded eyes.

"She's right, do Marines not count, or were you not planning on stealing that day?" Zoro joined in accusing her.

Uh… That's." Nami averted eye contact. "That was different, I was only planning on taking the chart. I never intended on stealing any treasure from them, so it's not the same."

[Yes it is.] Zoro and Silk denied her excuse in unison.

"Moving on." Light changed the subject. "Since you're sailing with us but aren't a member of the crew, you don't have to call me Captain. Instead, call me my name."

"That's fine, but I don't know your name." Nami pointed out. "You never said it and those two have just been calling you Captain the whole time."

"Then let me introduce myself." Light smirk confidently at her. "I'm Monkey D Light."

And that's the chapter. With this done, Nami has now unofficially joined the crew and they defeated Buggy. The fights were all short and weren't much of a struggle but what can you expect, Light was way too strong for Buggy so it was obvious and as for the other two, in the canon, it was clear that Zoro could have easily beaten Cabaji if he wasn't injured and Mohji was one-shotted in the canon as well. I don't want to drag out fights if it just made them boring so I kept them short and sweet.

A few of the events in this Arc were different though. I figured it only made sense that not every outcome would be exactly the same, I just felt that this is how things would be if it was Light instead of Luffy.
