"Talk"

'Thought'

"What's wrong, no warm welcome, Gine?"

A young to middle age adult Saiyan woman, who goes by the name of Gine, was suddenly interrupted by a certain rough male voice, which instantly made her turn around to look at the person talking to her, who was another young to middle age adult Saiyan, though a man this time

"Bardock, you're here!"

Gine completely stops her butchering job and ran up to the Saiyan man, who is now known as Bardock

"Things sure are crazy around town today."

Bardock smiles lightly as he puts down and looks at the Saiyan woman who run up to him and smiled back at him

"Yeah, it's not that often everyone comes back."

Gine was clearly happy to see him here

"Where's Raditz?"

After that warm welcome, in Saiyan standards, Bardock looked around the area in curiosity

"Off-world."

Gine sighs softly

"He's in the military now, teamed up with Prince Vegeta, on some planet, I seriously doubt they'll make it back for this."

When Gine said this, the Saiyan man couldn't help but hum in response

"Wow, Prince Vegeta, huh?"

Bardock thought about his son's situation

"I wouldn't want to be stuck on a ship with that one."

And Bardock couldn't help but feel bad for his son, which made the Saiyan woman chuckle

"How is Kakarot doing? Is he still in the nursing capsule?"

When Bardock mentioned someone named Kakarot, the Saiyan woman couldn't help but beam happily at this

"He is, it's just about time to let him out though."

Gine then grabbed the hand of the Saiyan man and tried to pull him away with her

"You should see him, come on."

In another room, both Saiyans were in another room where some kind of nursing capsule could be seen, and inside said capsule was a young Saiyan boy, was probably less than a year old, and was known as Kakarot, who looked like a younger version of his father, without the scars

"Still small, huh?"

Bardock couldn't help but comment as he looked at his son through the glass

"I think he may be a late bloomer."

Gine wore a soft and motherly expression when looking at her son, before taking a glance at the Saiyan man who has given her such a gift

"He looks just like you, though, don't you think? He certainly has his father's hair, for better or worse."

Gine giggles teasingly at him, who didn't respond at first, as he then wears an expression that replaced his smile and looked a bit more serious

"After dark, I'm going to steal a pod for him."

The now frowning Bardock bluntly stated what he was gonna do, which quickly caught the Saiyan woman off guard

"Huh?"

Gine was now confused

"We're going to send our son to another world."

Bardock then looked away from his son and looked fully at the mother of said child, who wore such a disbelieving face

"Huh? You've got to be kidding!"

Gine wore a very disapproving frown and glare

"Gine, I'm serious."

Bardock showed no hints of messing around or lying in the slightest

"Have you gone insane, why would we abandon our son like that? He hasn't even learned how to talk yet!"

Gine was very vocal and adamant about what she was hearing, she was most definitely against such an idea

"With his latent abilities, he's destined to be sent away, probably somewhere horrible…"

What Bardock said, the Saiyan could not deny or argue against, knowing he was right

"So we're going to see to it that he at least grows up on a decent planet."

Bardock looked back at the capsule and place a hand on the glass

"No, he's far too young for that."

Gine was still unsure about this whole thing, not fully convinced about sending her son away

"I don't think we can afford to wait much longer."

This caught the Saiyan woman's attention when she heard Bardock say this

"And what does that mean?"

Gine tilts her head in confusion

"Because of Frieza."

The name that Bardock utters was enough to make the Saiyan woman tense up in slight fear

"I think he is afraid of the legendary Super Saiyan appearing one day."

Bardock once again said something that confused the Saiyan woman

"Hold on, the Super Saiyan?"

Gine didn't understand a single thing that the Saiyan man was talking about

"But that's only... That's just a children's fairy tale, Bardock!"

And Gine just wanted to refuse such a topic, thinking it was too stupid to talk about

"I know, the problem is I think he's still bothered by the legend."

The Saiyan woman's eyes went slightly wide when Bardock mentioned that this Frieza guy was apparently afraid of such a legend

"And I can't imagine he'd want to take any chances."

Bardock clenched both his hands and teeth at the thought

"Huh?"

Gine was still confused and even worried about what she was hearing

"I get the feeling that death is on its way for us."

Soon it was dark, and both Bardock and Gine were currently in the middle of running and jumping around in an isolated area, where no unwanted Saiyan people could spot them doing what they were doing, which involved having a crying Kakarot being stuck inside some kind of space pod

"Is there another option, let's think about this?"

Gine still sounded doubtful while following the Saiyan man

"No, it's the only choice."

Bardock mind was made up and he refused to change it anytime soon

"If I turn out to be wrong, I'll go and rescue him."

Bardock attempted to comfort the Saiyan woman, with little success

"In that case, why don't the three of us run off somewhere together?"

Gine was still lacking to understand anything that was happening

"We can't, they'd use their damn Scouters and be able to track us down in no time."

No matter how hard the Saiyan woman argue, Bardock always shot her down with something she can't deny or defend against

"Bardock…"

Gine sighs softly in slight defeat

"... Why are you going through so much trouble?"

But even so, Gine still talks to the Saiyan man, still confused, but for a different reason now

"It's not like a Saiyan man to worry about his children, so what's gotten into you?"

A moment of silence has fallen between the two when Gine asked this question

"I don't know…"

Bardock finally speaks and admits to everything that he was feeling deep within

"Maybe it's because I'm constantly fighting, destroying, and I'd actually like to save something for once."

Bardock then glanced back at his crying son, wearing a face of uncertainty about everything that he was feeling

"Especially someone who is judged to be a lower-class warrior, like my Kakarot…"

The two then stopped when they reached a spot that was far away enough from everyone that could see them, Bardock puts down the space pod and started to mess with its controls for a bit

"I've programmed this to head to a distant, unremarkable, and young medieval planet, the people in that world have low power levels and aren't technologically advanced, I think he'll be able to do well there, Gine."

Even if the place that Bardock was sending their son sounded convincing and promising, the mother to the son still didn't look at all happy about this whole thing

"Good thing is, it's not an extremely valuable world, so I'm hoping it won't even show up

on the Frieza forces' radar."

And with that, after Bardock was done setting everything up, he took one last look at his son, looking at him with such soft eyes

"If your father is wrong about this, then we'll come

and get you immediately."

Gine wasted no time trying to comfort and say her last goodbye to her crying son, to which his Father did the same

"Listen, son, you do what it takes to survive, got it?"

And with that, both Bardock and Gine took a step back, as the space pod that Kakarot was in started to power up and ready itself to take off

"We'll see you really soon!"

And without any more delays, the space pod shot up high in the sky and started to head towards and into the deepest part of space, Gine tears up from this, while Bardock wore a determined but also slightly upset expression

"Goodbye."

"Don't forget us, Kakarot!"

And with that, Kakarot was sent to space, all the while Gine and Bardock watched on, hoping that their beloved child will live on, even if they would most likely never meet again, all they can do is wish for a better future for their Son…

So sending Goku to the world of Eminence In Shadow has won, replacing Goku with Cid was definitely a close 2nd, but anyway with that in mind, now I need to make some plans on how to do this story, I mean I do have some ideas in mind, but I'm very open to suggestions~

(BTW, to keep it simple and less confusing, Goku will still be called Goku)

/Simple And Basic Ideas For This Story\

Goku's Powers/Weapons: Weapons will obviously be his slime suit, though instead of a sword like most others, he uses a staff, for magic, he will only use it for defense and healing but will use it like Kaio Ken as a last resort if he needs to use even more power in a fight, however, he is a master of using KI, better than even Cid, who did help him use it to his fullest potential, his signature move is the Kamehameha, he owns it and is the creator of it since Roshi doesn't exist lol, he is also an amazing martial artist, learning everything from Cid himself, and even matches equally to him in terms of skills and power, however, while Cid is more stylish and artistic, Goku is a bit more straightforward and headstrong like Delta, but both are battle smart.

(Goku and Cid are 100% equal, sure they have some advantages over other, but since they constantly train together, they will always be equally strong)

Goku's Role: He will be Cid's training partner, but besides that, he will spend most of his time protecting the secret base of the Shadow Garden, unless needed for very important missions, also whenever the numbers get a name from the Garden, he will personally teach the named character how to use Ki in the Garden, like Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Lambda, Nu, Kai, Omega, Victoria and Nina, might be more.

(Does this sound accurate?)

Goku's Relationship: Cid's friend, a younger brother to the Seven Shades, a master or teacher-like figure for the numbers in the Shadow Garden, and of course an enemy to the Cult, though as for romance, I'm thinking Rose, she needs someone aloof to make her happy lol~

(Since Vegeta will be included no doubt, and since there is no Bulma, I'm thinking he would either take Iris or Claire, I don't say Alexia because she might be with Raditz, if I don't kill him off that is, though that's a maybe, actually maybe Nappa can have Iris while Vegeta gets Claire? I don't know, shipping isn't the main point or focus of the story, but it's something I'm thinking about… BTW, Broly x Akane, and Sherry is friends with Buu~)

Dragon Ball Characters: The only difference would be the Earth characters in DB because everyone outside of Earth, like Frieza, Beerus, Zeno, etc, etc, etc will exist, however, I'm not getting rid of everyone, I do plan to keep the Piccolo and Kami, because of the dragon balls and I like them and want to keep them, as well as some of the Earth villains, well not all of them like the Pilaf gang, and Dragon Ball Super Heros, but people like the Androids and Perfect Cell are worth keeping, but most other earth characters like Bulma, Roshi, Krillin, and more will not be included.

(BTW, yes I'm replacing Aurora with King Piccolo as the title of Demon Lord, I mean she still exists, but will only be known as the Witch of Calamity and the ones that cursed the Heroes, but that's about it, maybe a loyal servant to King Piccolo or mortal enemy? Not sure)

When Do We Get Into DB Story?: If you haven't been reading the manga or novel, I'm thinking about just letting it happen after Cid and Beta return from Earth, of course, I'll do more Eminence In Shadow story after they return from earth, but I'm not gonna wait for year's for the entire story to finally finish, so yeah, around that time, is when we touch on some DB stuff~

(That's all the ideas I can think of, at least those important enough to mention, but if you have some disagreement or have some better ideas, I'm willing to listen, twank you wuv u, bye~)
