Just as Melascula had calculated, it took Nebbie a few days to travel towards Dalmally. With that time, Elizabeth had thought a lot about what Zeldris had told her. She sat outside as the sun began to rise, analyzing herself. She was slim, barely holding any muscle in her scrawny arms. She had no experience with a sword or any kind of weapon either. He was right, there's no way she could have any chance in a battle. It was pathetic in her eyes, how can she fight for her kingdom if she can't even...fight?!
Melascula noticed her through the window and decided to check up on her. "What's...gotten you so blue, your highness?" She asked with care. "Oh...Good Morning, Lady Melascula. Nothing's wrong." She said, obviously just trying not draw attention to her mood. "You're...not a very good liar, my lady." Melascula said awkwardly. "Oh..." Elizabeth said, looking to the side with a sigh. "It's...just that I wish I could be...strong." She admitted. "What do you mean?" Melascula asked, sitting down beside her. "Zeldris was right...If I go help you save Estarossa, I'd just get in the way..." Elizabeth said gloomily. "Well...It's not that you would get in the way, my lady. It's just...Well...Captain and I really care about you." Melascula stated, blushing slightly. Elizabeth's gaze perked up a little. "R...Really?" She stammered, clearly touched.
"Captain's not very good at showing his true feelings but the last thing he'd want is to put those he holds dear in harms way. It's quite admirable that you care so much for us as well that you want to help but...sometimes what we want to do isn't what we need to do for the greater good." Melascula explained. Elizabeth listened closely, understanding more on Zeldris and Melascula's point of view. "I...don't tell people this often but...I don't like fighting." Melascula admitted, letting some of her inside thoughts out. "You...don't?" Elizabeth asked. "Not at all...but I have power that's needed by others. When I was afraid to join the Commandments as a child, I was told this by my mother..."It takes strength to fight but it takes bravery to do for others what they can't."...It never left my mind after hearing it for the first time. Lady Elizabeth, I will fight for you...so don't worry about us, okay?" She said with a kind smile.
Elizabeth slowly started tearing up, with Melascula slowly following. "Oh dear, don't cry...You're gonna make me as well..." She weeped. "S...Sorry...Just...Thanks, Lady Melascula." She said, wiping her eyes. "Hey...If you want, you really don't have to be formal with me. I really don't mind." Melascula said, wiping her own eyes. "O...Ok, me as well! I'm perfectly happy with you just calling me Elizabeth and I'll be sure to tell Zeldris the same!" The two giggled, enjoying each other's company before Zeldris himself came down the stairs, fully dressed and ready for action.
"Good morning, you two. You ready, Mela?" He asked. "Absolutely." Melascula said, floating up. "Sir Zeldris? Is their anything you'd like me to do while you and Melascula are away?" Elizabeth said cheerfully, feeling much better about herself. Zeldris noticed her bubbly nature had returned, now smiling. "Just...make sure everything's clean and if we're running low on ingredients, just step into town. Be sure to hide your identity though!" Zeldris said. Elizabeth nodded brightly, waving goodbye to the two as they set off. The mission to break Estarossa out of prison had began!
Estarossa slowly made his way through the halls, starving intensely. "Ugh... At this rate, I'm gonna die in here." He muttered, before staring at the stairs right in front. "YES! FREEDOM!" He yelled, before running down the stairs like a child on Christmas morning. When he made it to the bottom, his joy was immediately shattered when he saw he wasn't anywhere near the exit. "Awwww..." He whined before he heard a faint "Who goes there?". Estarossa's head perked up with joy once more. "Social interaction! Hooray!" He yelled before noticing the many guards now rushing towards him. "...well, that works too." He muttered before running to fight them off.
