Previously on Destruction...
On the bright side, each room as far as she knew had its own bathroom, but no shower curtain. There was no way she could hang herself even if she wanted to. The bluenette sighed softly. These three days were going to be a living Hell.

Classes still resumed despite what had happened about three days ago. Only a select few students knew what had happened to Marinette. And no matter how hard Alya tried to get any sort of information out of those select few, she was immediately shut down. Ever since she befriended Lila, people like Adrien, Nino, Luka, Kagami, and a few other students who didn't believe Lila one bit gave Alya and her classmates the cold shoulder. It wasn't like any harm was done. It was Marinette's fault. So why were these people defending her former best friend when Lila said Marinette was the one bullying her? It just didn't make any sort of sense to her.
And the thing Lila told her when Marinette had tried to take her own life, was that true? She wasn't even sure of it. After all, Lila claimed that as long as she and the brunette were friends, she didn't need a pathetic loser like Nino dragging her down.
About a month ago, Nino broke up with her and when Alya had asked for a reason, she got a dirty look from him. He had told her that Lila was to blame for all of this. That Lila was the bad influence here. As far as the brunette knew, Nino hadn't at all disclosed why he didn't like Lila in the least. They were so close... She supposed she was wrong about that then. In her eyes, Lila was nothing, but a saint.
Alya kept thinking about the day that Marinette tried taking her own life. A lot went through her mind. She thought the bluenette deserved what was coming to her since that idiot of a principal never took any action to really low down on the bullying situation. Yet, Lila never showed the brunette any proof that her former best friend ever bullied her. It was kind of sketchy.
In these past days, Alya found herself feeling guilty. Everything about Lila just didn't make any sense. She thought about Lila's words that day. About how Marinette was probably doing this all for attention because she felt guilty for bullying Lila. In the shows, the blogger watched, having the bully kill themselves over guilt was unheard of. It wasn't really impossible per se. In most storylines, the bully would end up getting killed by one of the protagonists. And at one point, she wanted to tattle on Marinette to Ladybug.
There was something else about the class that Alya had noticed since the incident. Adrien appeared in the morning with their first-period class and after that, he was gone. She had tried to talk to him regarding Marinette and got a cold answer from him.
'Since when do you care?'
Wait, why did she care? She had been bullying Lila for a long time.
Alya took a seat in her typical spot. Nino was supposed to sit next to her, but he requested a different seat since he was now uncomfortable being near Alya. Their teacher, Caline Bustier, let him. So, he sat in those last rows of desks where Marinette and Adrien sat. There were some new seating arrangements ever since their breakup. Chloe and Sabrina sat in the second to last rows of desks where Marinette and Adrien were. Alya now sat next to Lila.
"You're still worried about her, aren't you?"
Alya looked up to her best friend with a mesh bandage wrapped around her left arm. She smiled at seeing her. "She's in the past. I'm surprised she even survived that fall."
"I told my mom all about Marinette. She is talking to the mayor about pressing charges for bullying me. So, she shouldn't be able to attend this school anymore." the sausage-haired girl sat down next to the brunette. She flashed her forest green eyes a few times before bringing her attention back to Alya. Lila clasped both of her hands over her chest and with a shrill voice, she said, "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about Marinette's abusive side sooner. She threatened me and-"
"She what?" Alya had to stop Lila from saying anything else. "Marinette threatened you? When was this?" She appeared to be fuming.
"I didn't want to tell you because she said she was going to kill me if I said anything. This was when I returned from volunteering during Hero's Day."
"You have to report this. Threatening someone is a serious crime!"
Lila placed her arms on the desk, "I know, but she's already paying for what she's done with her life."
Alya opened her mouth to say something but closed it when Ms. Bustier walked into the class.
"Class, today there will be two EU officials who will interview all the students in the school. Please do not be alarmed at all." It was strange that Ms. Bustier didn't go further about why the EU officials were really going to be there. "Open your textbooks to page 353, please. We will be continuing our lesson on Shakespeare."
There was something Alya didn't see with Lila when she had taken her textbook out of her backpack. Lila seemed to pale.

Lobelia Middle School is an all-girls school. Their records show that there has only been one suicide and at this time, Lila Rossi had been transferred to this school right after Nebula Blackmire had taken her own life. The family of the third victim who had taken her own life is kept in the private. Only her first name was revealed to the public. With another girl involved with the suspect Lila Rossi, a case has been opened at this time.
Security cameras are all around the school. There's one thing in this case against Lila Rossi at this time. A recorded argument between Lila Rossi and Kiara. This is a visible argument. Kiara's face has been blurred out. Viewer discretion is advised.
On the security cameras, it is shown that Lila Rossi approached Kiara. Both girls wear Lobelia uniforms. A white t-shirt with a red dress and close-toed slipper shoes.
Kiara's back is against the many lockers that are lined up against each other. Each locker is about a foot wide. She has her arms crossed over her chest. "Claiming you date Cyrus Cyste is really stupid. He's a pop star."
"But he is my boyfriend! He's just busy all the time!"
"You think I'm going to be easy to win over? If so, you're wrong."
It's hard to tell what both of these girls' facial reactions are. EU officials can assume Kiara's reaction with Lila is disgust.
"I only tell people what they want to hear. I have everyone wrapped up in my lies. I'm not going to make you believe my lies. It's just what's the fun in not lying? Being real to people is only a waste of time. Don't get in my way, okay?"
"You can make friends without lying, Lila."
"I know. But I'll let you in on a little secret." Lila gets closer to Kiara. The girl with sausage hair grabs for the other girl's neck. "I like seeing people suffer. It's fun to see them squirm. I don't think you'll last. The other school I attended had the same problem. Someone who called me out. I don't think you'll last as long as that other girl, but we'll see." During this whole time, the camera picks up choking noises from Kiara. Lila let go and left Kiara as a coughing mess.

It was a horrific day for Marinett's parents when they had found out what she tried to do to herself. On that day, they closed their business down for the day and rushed to the hospital where Marinette was getting emergency surgery for her injuries. Their precious daughter had tried taking her own life. For what reasons thought, well they didn't know. She was supposed to open up to them about anything, yet they both shared the same feeling. The very feeling that they failed their own daughter.
Her parents had experienced two stressful days but were reassured by Gabriel Agreste who had learned about Marinette's attempt from watching the news. In France, much like Canada, healthcare was a universal thing. Her medical fees were already handled, so that meant Marinette's parents didn't have to worry at all. But there was something that surprised Marinette's parents. Gabriel Agreste had insisted on getting their daughter a private psychiatrist who would be visiting her weekly to ensure she'd be okay.
"With time, I will ask her to work for my company."
