AshenOne: Jonathan will make some appearances, since he and Johnny, while being two separate individuals, are connected. As for Kyoka and Hamon...it's a possibility.
nocringeman: A SCRATCH?! YOUR ARM'S OFF!
Euphoria: That is a pretty solid idea! The character's will DEFINITELY need it.
Momo Yaoyorozu had a problem.
It really was no secret that her life had taken a drastic turn ever since she had found out about One For All and the hit on her friends. She had gone from being enthusiastic about her future career to constantly worrying about the safety of said friends.
Oh, did she mention that she was now staring a Pillar Man in the eyes?
Santana was staring at her from across the street, hiding in the shadow of an umbrella. Clearly, he recognized her from I-Island, and she couldn't bring herself to look away. He was dressed in a long black trench coat, and he had a wide brimmed hat, clearly trying to avoid being recognized.
A bit too late for that, because now he was having a staring contest with a high schooler.
Please...please just leave, please don't do anything...
Santana slowly shifted his weight to face her, his ice cold blue eyes drilling holes into her, studying her. Momo could feel a chill going down her back, and she involuntarily shuddered. This was arguably the most powerful villain in Japan, perhaps even the world, and he knew who she was.
Santana seemed to mutter something, and then began to walk away. As soon as Santana left her line of sight, Momo greedily sucked in air, she had been holding her breath. She had never been more terrified in her life, but she knew she had to tell someone immediately.
Why was he so close to UA?
"So...let me get this straight. You never thought about using your legs in combat until we began training for the Provisional License Exam?" Johnny asked, his eyebrows raised.
"Well...yes?" Izuku responded.
"As a guy who didn't HAVE legs at one point, I find that insulting."
"W-well, I was trying to fight like All Might, he usually just uses his fists. You can't blame me for neglecting my legs."
"...Talk me out of hurting you."
"J-JoJo! I-"
Suddenly, Johnny was grabbed by the shoulders and spun around, and Gyro began violently shaking him. "JOHNNY!"
"GYYYYEEEEEEROOOOO!"
"Did you hear?! Eri's here!"
Johnny gently pushed Gyro's hands off of him. "She's...HERE?! Like, at UA?!"
"Yeah! She came here with Togata! Apparently they're allowing her to stay here!"
Johnny and Izuku shared a look, before they both asked, "Where is she?", at the same time. Gyro raised an eyebrow. "Jeez, sometimes it's really obvious you two grew up together...she's outside meeting the other students, although she's hanging around Kyoka and Togata more than anyone else."
"Makes sense, they both played a huge part in her rescue. Has she...uh..."
"Asked about you?" Gyro finished Johnny's question with a smirk. "Of COURSE she has, she's been looking for the two of you the whole time."
Johnny smiled. "Tell her we'll be at the Speedwagon Foundation headquarters. Izuku and I are going to be reading up on some history in order to understand the Pillar Men a bit better. Wanna come?"
"Normally, yes...but I may have a 'date'."
"Are you and Yaoyorozu still pretending you don't like each other?" Izuku asked. Gyro shook his head.
"It's...a bit like a game. We KNOW how we feel about each other, it's just that we're kind of competing to see who will come clean about it first. I'd say we're tied now, just the other day I got her to admit that we're more than friends, so..."
"You always have to make things more difficult for yourself, don't you Gyro?" Johnny said.
"Says the guy who danced around telling Kyoka how he felt until his asshole mom tried to kill her. At least Momo actually knows-"
"Alright alright, you make a pretty good point. But honestly, isn't this a situation in which it's okay to lose? I mean, you would still kind of win."
"I never back down from a challenge! If anyone is losing, it's her!"
"...JoJo I think you're a bad influence." Izuku said, shaking his head.
"No, no this is amazing. I have never been more proud of him."
Gyro grinned and threw on his hat, earning confused looks from the other two. "What?"
"Didn't...that hat fall in acid?"
"No, what are you two talking about?"
"But...you lost your hat...what?"
Gyro shook his head. "I'll see you two later, Nyo Ho!"
Izuku stared after Gyro in disbelief, while Johnny just smiled. "Even when I think I know everything about Gyro Zeppeli, he still manages to stay shrouded in mystery."
"Yeah...wait a minute, what if-"
Izuku proceeded to discuss several possible theories on how Gyro somehow recovered his hat, and Johnny could already feel his eyelids beginning to close.
Santana stared up at the UA barrier, watching the girl make her way inside. The barrier closed behind her, and Santana thought she gave him a glance as it did so.
She was clearly observant, most people would never catch him following them. Still, she was not his priority. Santana glanced at the sun, before turning into mist. The only drawback of Genesis so far, was that it had to be active in daylight, otherwise he would burn up.
He had not completely conquered the sun. Only the Red Stone could've given him the opportunity to do so. However, with Genesis, he could simply turn into something that could not be burned. He usually turned into metal, but in this case mist was more suitable.
The mist, former into the shape of a man, put a hand on the barrier. He could break through it, definitely. But a head-on confrontation would inevitably be suicide. There was no way he could break through the gate without getting the attention of every hero student/teacher on campus.
So, he merely passed through the crack.
As he walked through the courtyard, it became apparent that they were prepared for a large scale battle. The buildings were fortified, and Santana could see the beginnings of some sort of mechanism in the foundation. However, it was done in a way were it looked as though the school was just that, a school, when in reality it was a fortress.
In the front of the dormitory building, there was a group of high schoolers huddled around what appeared to be a little girl. Recognition dawned on Santana's mistified face. Chisaki's girl...
The little girl was currently holding onto another familiar face, the girl with the strange ears that was close to the youngest Joestar during I-Island, the one that he flung aside when he targeted him. The ears on the girl shot up, and she whirled around towards Santana's direction.
The Pillar Man stood absolutely still as the girl's eyes vigilantly searched the area where he was standing. Of course...she can HEAR me...no wonder the Joestars keep her close. Still, I could easily just walk over there and devour her...but then the others would jump to her defense.
Only one will die today.
"Hey Jiro! Can I talk to you for a moment?" The boy with the lighting bolt hair asked. The girl continued to stare at him for a while, and Santana began to worry that she had seen him.
"Sure...sorry...I thought I...never mind."
Good girl, move along.
Santana ran, transitioning to his toes to create less of a sound, and made it to the door of the building. He waited until the little purple boy opened the door, and he slipped in. Immediately, he resumed his organic form, and the little boy opened his mouth.
WHAP!
Santana took him down with a swift smack to the head. The encounter was so fast, the boy would probably assume it wasn't real.
Now he was inside.
He walked into the common room, observing the living quarters of his enemies. Comfy... He thought to himself, testing the couch with his hand. Finally, he called out. "If you're waiting to ambush me girl, save it. I'm only here for business, not murder."
"Why have you been following me?" Momo emerged from around the corner, wearing her hero costume. "You shouldn't be here, you shouldn't be anywhere near here."
"I'll make this quick...you will be answering my questions."
"I-I don't h-have anything to say to you!"
It was clear that Momo was absolutely petrified by his arrival, so Santana decided to use her fear against her.
"Tell me...that girl outside with the ears...she's your friend right? She hangs around the youngest Joestar quite a bit. For all I know, she could be just as much of a threat as his family is...so, girl..."
Santana activated his stand, and Momo found herself looking at Death itself. The skull-like visage of Genesis' helmet bore into her eyes as he finished his threat. "Do you want me to treat her like one? Your classmates? Because I can, and it can be N.A.S.A all over again."
"...What is your question?"
Santana nodded. "Good, when I saw you on I-Island, you had befriended Gyro Zeppeli. As it is safe to assume the two of you are acquainted, do you know where he is right now?"
"You're...you're going to hurt him..."
"Perhaps, but it would also prevent any further bloodshed. Is one man really worth many? Tell me where he is, and I give you my word that no one else shall be harmed today...well, except for that little goblin I knocked out over there, but he should live."
For the first time since she overcame Aizawa with Todoroki, Momo was doubting herself. The fate of her friends had been placed in her hands by a creature that could easily kill them all if he saw fit. This...this GOD, who had been around for thousands of years, was now making her choose.
"Why...WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE?!"
Santana took a step back. "I don't follow, care to elaborate?"
Momo pointed at Santana, tears forming in the corners of her eyes. "You have been trying to kill my friends since they got back from the Steel Ball Run. Can't...can't you see they've been through enough?! I know that you could kill everyone here, but...don't you realize you're ruining lives?! Why can't you let them just live out their lives, why can't they be happy?"
Santana opened and then closed his mouth. He had honestly expected Momo to break and reveal Gyro's location, but instead she was confronting him over his actions.
"The Joestars took everything from me, girl. My masters...they were the only family I had. That family is dedicated to making my life HELL! I don't wish to prolong suffering, but they are going to hunt ME, if I don't hunt THEM. It's kill or be kil-"
"They are only hunting you because you're KILLING people!"
"They are necessary deaths."
"For WHAT?!"
"For my GOAL! I wish to create the perfect world, one where species and prejudices don't matter. I want a world where...where I won't have to be alone. I'm not some evil tyrant trying to rule the world, I only want to change it for the better. The Joestars, and Zeppeli, want this world to remain the same as it currently is: full of slimy corporate scumbags who masquerade as heroes, as if what they are doing actually matters. I've STUDIED the current number one, Endeavor, and he isn't much better than the villains he has pledged to fight. Your friends stand in the way of TRUE PROGRESS, so they have to go."
"True progress? You think murder is progress? No...no I'm sticking to what I said before: I have nothing to say to you." A determined glint appeared in Momo's eye as she began to create something. "I apologize for the language...but go screw yourself. I will NOT betray my friends!"
Santana sighed, and his helmet faded away to show his face. "Then, perhaps a compromise would work?"
"Compromise? You...do that?"
"I am not unreasonable. Here is the deal, if you can prove to me that Zeppeli is not a threat, I will leave. If not...I will find and kill him. I apologize for threatening to kill your other classmates, but it seemed like the right approach at the time. Clearly, you cannot be intimidated into abandoning your loyalty."
Santana walked over to the couch and took a seat. "I am used to dealing with criminals, and cowards, so sometimes threatening seems like the logical approach. I saw you were afraid, and I used it without success. You have to understand, I do not want senseless violence. I only kill when your kind doesn't give me a choice, or when I have to eat. If negotiating is the right path to take, I would be more than happy to take it."
Momo warily eyed Santana. "They think you are a threat because of the attacks. You've been sending stand users to this school for a while now, and it's only a matter of time before innocent people get hurt. The Joestars, and Gyro, are some of the kindest people I have ever known. Sure they have their flaws...but they just want to help people. Your masters, from what I heard, wanted to wipe out humanity. I know they were your family, but is genocide really the right way to make a difference?"
Santana nodded. "I suppose, I probably should have tried to see it from JoJo's perspective. You make a valid point. But...couldn't they have also tried negotiating? He...well I guess he did try to make conversation...Joseph, but I dismissed him as a clown. I was experimenting, trying to get a grasp on humanity's progress, and he was just annoying me. The general, Stroheim, kept me in a CAGE, as well as the rest of his unit. I had no qualms about killing them..."
"Look, I can't hope to understand how a Pillar Man thinks. For all I know, it could be the same as me. But...violence doesn't always have to be the answer...maybe you could try making peace with Mr. Joestar?"
"Peace...he doesn't give a damn about peace! Neither do his descendants! They have blood on their hands too! If they were here, they would try to kill me, and wipe my race off the face of the Earth! I KNOW Joseph Joestar! I've memorized every single insult he ever threw my way! He's proud of what he did, leaving me alone...and he has been training Zeppeli, hasn't he? No...no there can never be peace with them, I'm sorry." Santana stood up.
Momo backed away. "You're wrong! You said you wanted to negotiate, why can't you do it with him?!"
"HE KILLED MY FAMILY! AND HE FUCKING BRAGS ABOUT IT, TO THIS DAY! THE JOESTARS ARE MY ENEMY!" Santana roared, his mask rematerializing back onto his face. "Clearly, you are deluded girl. I can be pretty lenient, but there will be no forgiveness for that man. Zeppeli will DIE, whether you help me or not. Still...I have overstayed my welcome. Next time, which will be soon, there WILL BE BLOOD!"
"What is all the racket in here?!" Kyoka said, walking into the room and freezing. Her best friend was in the corner, shaking, while the big bad himself was towering over her. Santana turned and shot Kyoka an icy glare that rooted her to the spot.
"Earphone Jack? Where did you go?" Eri said, appearing through the doorway. As soon as she saw Santana, she screamed and hid behind Kyoka.
Kyoka looked from Santana to Momo. "G-get...get away from her..." It took everything in Kyoka's power just to speak, as the overwhelming fear that the Pillar Man's presence brought was crushing her.
Without another word, Santana turned to mist and passed right through Kyoka and Eri, and flew into the sky. Momo fell to her knees, and her tears soon followed. A natural response, following pure terror.
Kyoka immediately ran over and crushed her sobbing friend in a hug. "Shhhhhh, it's okay, he's gone...breathe YaoMomo...breathe..."
Meanwhile, Eri could only stare. "Who was the big monster?"
"Someone very, very bad..." Kyoka said. "Eri, can you go tell Mr. Jotaro about this? He wants to catch the big monster."
"O-okay..." Eri was about to walk away, before running back. "What if the big monster wants to get ME? What if he's going to take me away again?"
"I will never let that happen, and neither will Mr. Jotaro. You'll be okay Eri, I promise..."
Eri nodded and ran outside.
Kyoka pulled out her phone and dialed Johnny's number. "Hello?"
"JoJo, you need to come back, NOW!"
"Did something happen? ARE YOU OKAY?!"
"I'm fine, Mr. Overprotective boyfriend...but I think YaoMomo just had the biggest fright of her life...our favorite immortal bastard decided to pay the school a visit."
"..."
"There's another thing JoJo...he has a stand. He, turned into this misty stuff to get away, he looks like a cross between the Grim Reaper and a warlord."
"..."
"Johnny?"
"Stay right where you are...I'm coming, and get Gyro."
"Where is he?"
"Getting ready for his not-date with YaoMomo-"
"Something tells me Gyro better watch his back...I think...Santana was after HIM, right?" Kyoka asked, and Momo nodded into her soaked shoulder.
"...that bastard better not go ANYWHERE near him, or we'll see EXACTLY how much he can regenerate."
Kyoka nodded. "Yeah...I'm gonna hang up now JoJo, I need to get YaoMomo to her room before someone sees us...I love you."
"I love you too Kyoka...and stay safe."
Kyoka helped Momo to her feet, and the two girls retreated into Momo's dorm room just as Kaminari arrived. "Hey, Jiro? Are you in here? Where did you go? I...I really needed to tell you something. Oh well, it can wait."
Kaminari turned to go back outside when Jotaro came in and knocked him over like a bowling pin, and the elder Kujo ran straight towards Momo's room.
"Ow..."
Hol Horse stirred his drink, not really feeling all that great.
He was smack dab in the middle of a bar, just drinking his problems away.
It was a relief, that he didn't have to worry about killing children anymore, but...it still felt like the blood would be on his hands. Santana was going after them himself, and Hol Horse was the news, he knew how deadly the Pillar Man could be.
Considering the fact that the guy was making genetic abominations and talking to statues, would it be bold to assume he wouldn't just snap and kill everyone there? Would it be Hol Horse's fault?
That's when Hol Horse felt a weight sit next to him. He turned his head, and to his surprise, he found Funny Valentine sitting next to him.
"Am I that drunk, or are you really here Mr. President?"
The bartender gave Hol Horse a funny look as the former president sighed. "I'm here, I was actually hoping to find you."
"What for? What would Funny Valentine want with a bum like me?" Hol Horse said, looking down.
"Do you have any regrets, Hol Horse?" Valentine asked.
"What does this have to-"
"Answer my question."
Hol Horse sighed, looking down. "Yeah...I guess. I didn't at first. I used to travel the world, met lots of hot women, and I would make some pretty good cash as a mercenary. That was the life, riding, playing, watching the sunsets. Then I took a job for a guy named DIO, and it all went to shit. I'm not the same free spirit that I used to be...I'm chained down. I...I regret everything I did for him."
Valentine nodded thoughtfully. "Do you know why you aren't a free spirit anymore?"
"Because DIO-"
"No, you put those shackles on yourself. If DIO was Goliath, and you were David, you hid instead of hurling the stone. Your freedom was challenged, and you didn't overcome it. I am a man who believes that EVERYONE deserves freedom, and that includes you."
"Why are you here Valentine?"
"I want you to break free of those chains. Those restraints that you put on yourself. There is a true American under all that self-loathing, and I want him to come out and do something right for a change. I want David to face Goliath. Santana is going after Zeppeli, and he WILL kill him if something isn't done about it. I don't care if he is stronger than you, because dammit there is an eagle waiting to soar in there! Let it out, embrace your freedom!"
Hol Horse could only stare at Valentine in shock. "I...I can't believe I'm getting a pep talk from the president of the United States."
"Well...FORMER president...I'm kind of dead."
Hol Horse held out his hand, and Emperor appeared in it. Hol Horse took a long look at it, and began to smile. "Santana may be a god, but he can't shoot straight to save his life."
"...okay..."
Hol Horse stood up. "Who the hell do I think I am?! I'm Hol Horse, one of the best gunmen on the planet! Why do I need to hide like a coward, when I can look Death in the face and pull the trigger, I've done it before, how is this different?!"
"Wait, did I actually get through to you, beca-"
"Hol Horse is back bitches! And he's here to stay! No more of this number two bullshit!"
Hol Horse exited the bar, leaving a confused yet strangely happy Valentine behind. "You better watch your ass Santana, because I'm about to show you who you're really pushing around!"
Hol Horse got on his motorcycle and rode into the night, while Valentine just stood in the doorway.
"How...how did I get here anyway?"
Also, if anyone has stand ideas I would be more than happy to hear them! I know I've done a lot of lore chapter recently, but I'm more than happy to include your ideas!
