PhantomKnightPercival: I really wanted to show that the others were having an effect on Izuku, he's a little sassier than he used to be. As for Bakugo and Kyoka, it makes sense with the UA band that they'd start to warm up to each other.
FinchFlyingAce: :)
Bearticguy7: I'm seriously going to have to make a library at this point, I need to save these!
nocringeman: Johnny is corrupting him, slowly.
Jddraign: Trust me, the Necromancer is going to be a HUGE dick.
Euphoria: I like villains with a sense of humor! I know, I can't believe this story has came so far!
Balanced goose: That would be a REALLY interesting stand user for Kyoka to fight, I love it!
Spaghetti sauce: Yeah, I'm still iffy on the JoJolion sequel. I'm going to set it up in this story, but I may never write it. It really depends on when I reach the end.
Inko Midoriya was having a pretty good day.
Not only was her baby boy coming to visit her, but he was bringing his whole friend group along as well. Something about cheering one of them up...
It didn't matter, Izuku had friends other than Johnny, she wanted to meet them.
Inko paused as she heard a cupboard open...was Izuku already here?
She checked in her kitchen, only to find all of them closed. Inko scanned the room, and shrugged.
"DIIIIIIIiooooooooooo..."
Inko's heart skipped a beat as soon as she heard the moan. It sounded...hurt...as if it were asking for help, but the woman was too terrified to move a muscle.
She wasn't alone.
Quickly, she grabbed the phone in the kitchen and dialed the police, only to hear the familiar static that came with a dead phone line. Someone had cut it, meaning she was now essentially trapped with whatever was in the apartment with her.
Inko grabbed a spatula, not that it would do much good, and entered the living room. A dark mass suddenly darted out of Izuku's room and into hers, and Inko gasped. "Who's there?!"
She ran to her room, and discovered that her underwear drawer was open. Inko, disgusted, shut it and looked around her room. Absolutely nothing...
She turned to exit her room, only to find a menacing figure with horns standing in her doorway, holding a bloodied machete. Inko screamed and stumbled back, tripping over the leg of her bed and falling to the floor. When she got up...
The figure was gone...but the blood it had dripped on the carpet was still there. Inko tried to open her window, but realized it was pointless. She lived in the fourth floor.
So she decided to make a break for the exit.
She dashed through the living room and flung open the door to the hallway, only to find a massive rotting corpse standing there, it's eye holes staring at her.
"DIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" It roared as it reached for her.
"NO!" Inko held out her spatula, tears streaming down her face as she could only cower in pure terror. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder, which spun her around...
The Necromancer grinned at her, slowly pushing her towards her couch. "Come on Mrs. Midoriya, is this any way to treat your guests? Sorry about the blood...had to visit the local playground just to make JoFoe 2.0...heheh..."
"Who are you?! WHAT are you?!"
"Someone who just has a thing or two to discuss with you...JoFoe, go fetch us some drinks, would you?"
"Errrrriiiinaaaaaaaa..." The zombie shuffled off to the Midoriya household's kitchen, and began breaking things as soon as it entered.
"U-um...s-sir? I-I am rather frightened b-by all of t-this..."
The Necromancer waved a hand, dismissing her. "Relax, if I wanted you dead...I would've would've just ordered JoFoe to eat you. No...I want to discuss your...son..."
"Wh-what do y-you want with him?!"
"You see...he's...getting involved with things he probably shouldn't...dangerous things. Things that, frankly...would probably lead to me murdering him in cold blood."
"I-I..."
"Don't worry though, I can spare him...as long as he doesn't continue getting in my way. All you have to do is withdraw him from UA...can you do that?"
"Please..." Inko fell to the floor. "Please, I'll do it...just don't hurt my baby, PLEASE!"
"Good girl...JoFoe, cancel the drinks, we're going home...oh, and one more thing..."
The Necromancer's eye sockets began to drip with a black, foul smelling liquid, and Inko could only sit there and shake as the sorcerer began to speak in a low and demonic voice:
"SHOULD YOU RENEGE UPON OUR AGREEMENT...I WILL CRUCIFY YOUR SON ON YOUR FRONT LAWN, AND SLOWLY PEEL HIM LIKE AN ORANGE, RELISHING IN HIS SCREAMS, AND I WILL MAKE. YOU. WAAAATCH!...That's all, have a nice day! Come on JoFoe!"
The Necromancer ended cheerfully, as his pet zombie shuffled along, and Inko noticed that it was wearing her underwear on it's head. However, she was too terrified to care.
Her son was in danger...
"Jiro, please I-"
"I'm not talking to you, piss off." Kyoka brushed Kaminari off, and he grimaced.
"Jiro, I'm really sorry...I..."
"I'm. Not. Talking to you. Not yet..."
"Jiro..."
"NOT TALKING!" Kyoka snapped, and stormed off, leaving a depressed Kaminari standing there with his head down.
"Wow...did something happen between those two?" Mina whispered to Izuku, who nodded.
"It isn't really my business to say...but yeah, something did."
"...does it have something to do with her relationship with JoJo?"
"I mean...wait...HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT?!"
Mina chuckled. "Those two can fool the average joe, but not me! I can tell when they're flirting! But...I also respect their decision to keep it private, it IS their business after all...it was also pretty obvious that Kaminari likes her too..."
"Like I said...it's not my business to say...but I'm glad you chose to respect their privacy. If it makes you feel better...I heard them discussing about being more open with it."
"REALLY?!" Mina lit up. "NO MORE SECRET KYOJO?!"
"SHHHHHH!"
"Oh, right...still a secret. I'm happy for them. I just KNEW she was crushing on him, and it was really frustrating when she kept denying it! How long have they been together?"
"Since the Yakuza Raid..."
"Wow...so it isn't all that new, huh?"
"Nope."
Mina hummed thoughtfully. "I think they SHOULD be more open about it, and that's not because I totally ship them. Keeping something like that a secret...it could lead to problems down the line, like...a misunderstanding or something..."
Izuku shook his head. "They trust each other completely, Ashido. Just the other day, they were attacked by a stand user that impersonated Kyoka, and JoJo tricked him by threatening to shoot them both. The real Kyoka didn't even flinch. It would take one of them actually doing something wrong for them to lose trust in each other."
"Wow...okay, so they're actually pretty stable...but still, you can't tell me it hasn't caused problems already."
"There have been a few..."
"One of them involving our favorite lightning rod?"
"HE caused that problem, not the secret...but it did play a part."
"He did something really stupid, didn't he?"
"What are you two talking about?" A familiar voice said, and they both looked up to find Johnny with an eyebrow raised.
"Ashido found out about you and Kyoka, I was just explaining the basics." Izuku said, and Johnny sighed.
"Yare yare...I'm not very surprised, you've been onto us from the start."
"Don't worry, I haven't told anyone...still, what the hell happened between her and Kaminari?"
"He was an idiot, and he confessed to her in the stupidest way possible. She was trying to reject him, gently I might add, and he wasn't listening to a word she was saying. Let's just say...Kyoka has every right to be mad at him."
Mina sighed. "Well, hopefully that gets settled soon."
"My father is going to have a talk with him." Johnny said.
"Oh...so he did something REALLY stupid."
Suddenly, Jotaro burst into the room. "Midoriya, come with me, NOW!"
"Huh?! Dr. Kujo?"
"NOW!"
Johnny's face turned to one of concern. "My dad doesn't panic like that often...you should go Izuku, and HURRY."
Izuku nodded and ran after Jotaro, who was storming towards his office at the pace of a mama bear charging at a hiker that was tormenting one of her cubs. Mina looked over in worry.
"I hope everything is okay..."
Johnny nodded. "Me too..."
"HE THREATENED MY MOTHER?!" Izuku screamed, and Jotaro nodded, anxiously tapping his foot.
"She called the school in panic, and said she was withdrawing you from UA. Rohan...already wiped her memory of the incident...but...it's clear that the Necromancer isn't afraid of making things personal...especially with the company he keeps..."
"He...he threatened my mother...he...he WAS THERE! HE COULD'VE KILLED HER, HE..." Izuku fell back into his seat, holding his head in his hands. Jotaro could only stare at his desk, glaring.
"She said...he had a zombie with him...that he called...JoFoe..."
"WHAT?! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE, I KILLED IT!" Izuku exclaimed. "I...I had to kill it, because he was...he was..."
"Part of our family...I know. He's spitting on the Joestars, our legacy...you see, Jonathan Joestar wasn't only the first hero of our bloodline...we consider him the best. That's why I named Johnny after him...he started EVERYTHING...to reduce Jonathan to be nothing more than a monster...a type of monster he devoted his life to destroying..."
"It's the worst insult he could ever throw at you...and he can just bring it back, no matter how many times we destroy it...and going after my mother...this guy is..."
"Pure evil...he's using the people we love against us...don't worry, the Speedwagon Foundation has stand users watching your apartment...we'll know if he goes after her again."
Izuku could only hang his head, immensely disturbed by the revelation. "I was...going to have her meet the group today...I know you said her memory was wiped...but...I don't think I could look at her after..."
"Just say I gave you a big assignment, and you can't come...I'm sorry Midoriya."
"It's...okay..."
Jotaro suddenly put a hand on Izuku's shoulder, and the two shared a moment. It was clear that there was more to this than simply warning the young OFA user...
This was a moment of understanding, Jotaro knew exactly how he felt, having gone through the same thing when he was around Izuku's age. DIO had threatened his mother, his family, and Jotaro understood the fear that came with that.
"If you ever need someone to talk to...you can come by my office any time, alright?"
"Thanks Dr. Kujo...I'll...I'll take you up on that."
"And that's how I'm able to fit fifteen pieces of ravioli in my mouth." Gyro stated, and Momo smirked.
"Don't you think that is poor table manners?"
"I'm an outdoorsman, manners kind of goes out the window when you've lived in the wild."
"And yet, you are always so proper during our...'outings.'"
"Just because the manners go out the window, doesn't mean I can't go get them."
"So you reserve them for special occasions?" Momo asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Yeah, pretty much."
"I'm glad to know the 'outings' are so special to you." Momo replied sweetly.
Gyro blinked. "You...can be incredibly sneaky when you want to be."
"I wouldn't have to be if you just conceded the battle."
"I'm not surrendering."
"Then I guess I'll have to keep being sneaky, won't I?"
Gyro snickered and was about to put his arm around her, when Kyoka came storming in. "Uh oh, that's the angry Kyoka walk."
"Can't that bastard just give me TIME?! I GET that he's sorry, but I'm just not ready to forgive him yet!" Kyoka vented, pacing around the room. "Where's Johnny?! I need my security blanket!"
"Hang on Kyoka...I'll get you some herbal tea to calm your nerves." Momo said, heading over to the kitchen area. Kyoka plopped herself next to Gyro and groaned, and he gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
"You look like you need a break."
"I do...I really do Gyro...is there a way we could just tell the villains to postpone? I...I just need some TIME without any of this bullshit..." Kyoka put her feet onto the couch and laid on her side with her arms crossed, and Momo came back with a smoking cup, setting it down next to her friend on the coffee table. "Thanks YaoMomo..."
"We all know Kaminari meant well...he genuinely didn't mean to hurt you...but he has to understand that these things take time. I'm sure he'll come to reali-"
"Hey guys, is Jiro in here?" Kaminari came in. "Oh...Jiro, listen, I-"
"Oh my God...he's stalking me..."
"I just want to say so-"
"I KNOW! I'M NOT READY YET!" Kyoka barked. "God...you're such a dumbass..."
"...why won't you hear me out?"
"She just said why." Momo was quick to jump to Kyoka's defense. "She needs space from you right now...you need to be patient."
Kaminari huffed and exited the room. Kyoka grabbed Momo's hand and squeezed it. "Thank you..."
"Any time."
"Why hasn't Dr. Kujo spoken to him yet? He was supposed to..."
"He had more pressing matters to discuss." Johnny said, entering the room. "Kaminari have me a dirty look on the way here..."
"Bitch."
"Johnny come here." Kyoka said, her voiced muffled by the couch cushions. "I'm in need of some good old fashioned Joestar hugs..."
Johnny sighed and walked over, sitting next to her and pulling her into his arms. "I'm afraid the surprise is a no go."
"Surprise?" Kyoka asked.
"Aw come on! Izuku really wanted to make it work!"
"Hold on, what surprise?" Kyoka insisted.
"We were all going to have dinner with Izuku's mom, he thought it would be nice for us to meet her...and we were keeping it from you in particular, because I think with everything that has been going on, you deserved a pick me up."
"Really? Just a nice dinner...why isn't it happening anymore?"
Johnny proceeded to explain the incident with the Necromancer, and when he got to the topic of JoFoe, Kyoka's grip tightened on his shirt.
"Kyoka...that really hurts..."
"S-sorry...it's just...I used his Hamon once, I felt his kindness...I felt like I knew him down there...he was a GOOD MAN."
"Hamon is one's life energy, by tapping into Jonathan's...you may have had an insight into who he was. Will A. Zeppeli actually transmitted his knowledge of Hamon by giving all of it to Jonathan. You had a real personal connection with him..." Gyro explained.
Kyoka nodded. "It's weird...when I tapped into his Hamon, I felt everything. His childhood, his love for Erina...his sorrow, and his strength. I KNOW the kind of man he was...to turn such a great man into a monster is...it's horrible...and poor Izuku..."
Momo was staring out the window. "This man...this THING...he can bring back the deceased, with NO RESPECT for who they once were! It's revolting..."
"A few kids went missing in the area too...and he was covered in blood, based on what Mrs. Midoriya was saying..."
"He has no morals, no honor, he's just a douchebag through and through!" Gyro said, clenching his fist. "At least people like Valentine and Santana had some fucking dignity."
"Valentine...was doing what he could for a just cause. He went overboard, and he's a good liar...but he had respect for the people around him, and he was never cruel. He let us know what he was going to do, and he tried his very best to do it, we were just obstacles to him. Santana has a sense of honor...he spared Izuku...but THIS guy? He's willing to go as deep into depravity as a guy can go..." Johnny said, frowning.
"I'm sorry...I know this is serious but...can we talk about something else? At least for right now..." Kyoka asked, and Johnny looked down to find her eyes trained on him, pleading.
"Of course Kyoka...I'm sorry the surprise was ruined."
"It's fine..."
Johnny and Gyro looked at each other, both concerned. Kyoka had been getting better since her really shitty day, but she still wasn't all that put together yet, probably due to Kaminari constantly pressuring her, and the recent news probably didn't really help things.
That's when Johnny had an idea.
"Come on, we're getting up."
"Why?" Kyoka groaned.
"Just trust me..."
Gyro raised an eyebrow as Johnny took his downtrodden girlfriend by the hand, but knew better than to question whatever Johnny had planned. In the meantime...
"So...question?"
"Yes Gyro?" Momo asked, curious.
"...how long do you think we can really keep this up? Honestly?"
"Not long...not long at all. I think we're both pretty close to breaking at this point...it's just..."
"What?"
"When it DOES happen...would our feelings be the same? What if it's completely different, and this whole game has a...dissatifying conclusion?"
Gyro blinked. "Do you really think the game matters?"
"It's all we've done...I enjoy it, I really do...but...I'm nervous."
"Momo...it's a stupid little contest, you...you know it's always been more than that."
"Has it now?"
"...you tricked me...AGAIN!"
"Well no, I genuinely asked the question...but I saw an opportunity and I took it."
"Well...it was a genuine answer. If I end up losing the game...IF, I would win regardless. This is a win-win situation, Momo."
"I'm your prize?"
"No, of course not! Finally hearing those three words would be prize enough..."
"I'm waiting to hear them from you."
"That would be conceding defeat, I'm not doing it until you do."
"Then I'm not saying them."
Gyro and Momo both laughed and said. "Someday..."
"Er...Dr. Kujo, what is this about?"
"This is about Jiro." Jotaro said, taking off his hat and setting it down, indicating he meant business. "What you did was completely unacceptable, and unbecoming of a student here at UA."
"Wh-where did you even hear about this? Did...did she report me?" Kaminari asked, his voice breaking. "I've been trying to apologize...I know I messed up, but I really thought it would work, an-"
"You kissed someone without their consent, that isn't romantic, it's harassment. You broke her trust, and now you have to pay the price. This is SERIOUS, Kaminari."
"I just want to make it up to her...I really do feel bad..."
Jotaro didn't budge. "I don't care...you have detention, for two weeks, during which you will clean up the classrooms, dorms, and you will NOT be bothering Jiro until she is ready to talk to you...understand?"
"I-I do..."
I can't help but feel as though he's a little biased... Kaminari thought to himself as he exited Jotaro's office. I know I messed up, but TWO WEEKS?! He's...keeping me away from her...
Why JoJo? Is it because he's smarter than me? Better looking? There's no way a guy like him would just settle for one girl, with all the other ones hanging off of him...she's clearly a side chick or something, and the last thing I want is for her to get hurt. I have to see for myself...
First...I have to make up for my mistake, and earn back her friendship...then I can find out the truth. If he really DOES love her though...
Well, I missed my chance.
Izuku was moping in his room, when he suddenly got a message on his phone.
American Pie: Look up.
Izuku did so, and saw D4C hovering over him with a phone in it's hand. It's face had been completely restored, and now the only thing missing was a singular horn. The stand was DEFINITELY regaining it's strength.
"Hi Mr. Valentine."
American Pie: I heard what happened, I think it would be wise to share my theory on the Necromancer's identity, I think you might relate to it more than the others.
"If there is ANYTHING I can do to stop him, any information I can get...I'm all ears."
D4C hovered over to Izuku's bed and sat down next to him.
American Pie: Did your friends ever tell you about Cupid's Arrow?
"That was your special task force, right? JoJo mentioned fighting them."
American Pie: They were all quirkless.
Izuku's jaw dropped. "All of them?"
American Pie: All of them. I'm a very progressive man, you see, so I believed that the quirkless had potential to become heroes. I sought them out, and convinced them that they could fight for the betterment of the world...my goal was to lift them up and make them soldiers.
"Most people wouldn't have done that...they would've just ignored them. That was...a very good thing you did, giving hope to them."
American Pie: I'm glad you think so. However...there was this one recruit, one who was much more eager than the others. He never told me his name, but he stood out amongst the others, due to his curly, unruly brown hair, and his freckles. He looked more like a boy than a man, he looked like YOU Midoriya.
"Great, so know YOU'RE calling me Baby Face too."
American Pie: I was merely stating that the two of you were similar. You both had your idols...you had All Might, and he had me. He truly believed in my ideals...and he was the most devoted out of all of them. He even called me father at one point...but I never knew how far he was willing to go...I made him a captain, and I believed he fell to Joseph Joestar during the battle on the train.
"You think...this guy became the Necromancer?"
American Pie: I gave him, a quirkless man who had been mistreated all his life, a place to belong. Then I died...if he survived his fight with Joseph...he would have most likely snapped. Don't you see Midoriya? If it is him...he's a dark reflection of both of us.
"I would never go that far."
American Pie: No, you wouldn't. You have a heart of gold...while the Captain was filled with darkness. I'm afraid I only fed that darkness...if he is the Captain...this is my fault.
Izuku sighed. "If it is your fault...I know you'll fix it. You aren't the type to leave things unfinished..."
D4C nodded, and disappeared, undoubtedly to contemplate the possibility that he created the Necromancer, and Izuku just hung his head, thinking about his poor mother.
What will I do if he goes after her again? Will I have to fight him head on?
What if Valentine can't kill him?
Mom...
Johnny led Kyoka by the hand, and Kyoka had become a bit more content. Time with Johnny always puts her in a good mood.
"I have to admit...taking me on a romantic stroll was a pretty good idea."
"Well, just wait, we also have a destination."
"Really?"
"Yep." Johnny said, leading Kyoka through a gate and into a graveyard.
"Uhhhhhh-"
"Don't worry, it's gonna be funny."
"I don't see how a graveyard could have something funny."
They stopped in front of a grave, and Kyoka's eyes widened as she read the writing on it.
Susan Cummings
She died as she lived: a bitch.
The grave was decorated with drawings of a certain reproductive organ, and several of names were signed underneath the artwork.
"Heh...heheh...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! LOOK AT ALL THE DICKS!" Kyoka had finally relented, falling to the ground and holding her stomach as she laughed over her old nemesis' vandalized grave.
Johnny reached out and handed Kyoka a marker. "Every Joestar has added one to it...I think it's your turn."
Kyoka grabbed the marker, blushing when she realized that Johnny had inadvertently called her part of the family, and smiled. "I'm gonna draw a BIG one!"
"There's that smile that I missed so much."
Kyoka began drawing, with Johnny looking over her shoulder. He smiled as he saw that she had put hers next to his. "That is some...are you detailing it?!"
"Shhh...don't interrupt the artist when she is working."
"You sound like Rohan."
"Shut up!"
Kyoka finished her incredibly detailed artwork and stepped back to examine it. "I think I did pretty good!"
"People are going to be super confused when they see a super detailed...you know...when they come here to visit their loved ones."
"That's the beauty of it." Kyoka turned to Johnny and took his hands, resting her head on his chest. "Thank you...I really needed this...you're a good boyfriend, you know that?"
"I try."
"You succeed." Kyoka pulled him in and kissed him, cupping his cheek with her palm. "Thank you...really. I'm...really glad I have you."
"Me too."
"Do you think Cummings would mind if we...hung around for a bit longer?"
"Do you care?"
"Nah, she's dead, what can she do?"
"Curse at us from hell? Call you mean names?"
"Her old repertoire, she can't do shit."
Johnny and Kyoka sat down on Susan's grave with their hands entertwined, knowing full well that they were probably pissing her off down in hell, but neither of them cared.
She was old news anyway.
