Bearticguy7: Banger after banger, I like the idea of some of DIO's sins causing some trouble.
jkgaming: I'm glad you're excited! Also, Jotaro is in his 40s.
dumpstertrashfire123: He could, but Hermit Purple can sometimes be pretty vague with it's photos, so Joseph wanted to solve the mystery quickly.
Jpx0999: Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. They do consider each other brothers, don't they...
Kyeo307: You aren't wrong about the Holly thing...maybe someone similar to her? Or maybe I'm giving you a red herring.
: Well, I update when I feel like it! I try to make it consistent though. Don't want to keep you guys waiting too long!
Euphoria: Death 13 might already be out there...also, the Necromancer may have a connection to the calamities...
Jddraign: Maybe it's both!
...just kidding.
nocringeman: Who indeed?
heaven's door: Thanks for your help, as always!
Balanced goose: I'm glad! Another brilliant stand idea!
PhantomKnightPercival: :)
Spaghetti sauce: :)
AshenOne: Perhaps it's someone who isn't outwardly hurting, but they are when no one is around. Maybe Jotaro and Midnight are a thing, maybe they aren't...
But Midnight definitely knows something.
Syrian Ken: It would be interesting...I'll think about it!
Death Omen Star: I mean, it really depends on how their children would feel...
Or maybe I'm just pulling your leg. :)
So, Izuku has been behaving strange recently, sort of locking himself away in his room ever since the battle with the Necromancer...today, we finally learn the reason...
"Come in, Midoriya."
Izuku walked in to Jotaro's office. "Did you find anything about it?"
Jotaro nodded. "We've been scavenging the remains of the Necromancer's base, and well...turns out being quirkless wasn't the only thing he had in common with you." Jotaro handed Izuku an old notebook, and Izuku wrinkled his nose upon seeing blood stains on it. "He was also a note-taker."
Izuku flipped through the Necromancer's notes. "Well structured, he was very organized."
"And very consistent. He took notes on everything he learned about his own abilities, as well as others."
"He wrote down the lyrics to his musical number..."
"His what?"
"Nothing...what about the eye?"
After the battle, Izuku had actually journeyed back into the Necromancer's base, intending to burn it to the ground. Instead, he found the Necromancer's Third Eye, somehow outlasting the Necromancer himself.
The Necromancer was 100% dead, Izuku knew that, and he wasn't worried about the demon coming back like he was William Afton, but the eye's survival was...concerning. When Izuku found that he could hold it, he brought it to the Speedwagon Foundation for containment and research.
That's why Izuku had been acting different, and that's why his friends were still concerned for him. He hadn't told them yet, and he was worried about their reaction.
"The eye was the source of his newfound power. For some reason...it survived when he didn't...but...it isn't dangerous."
"At all?"
"Not at all. You see, it was only dangerous when it was in his hands, but now that he's dead, it's power is limited. Shooting lasers wasn't the only thing it did, either. It granted him a form of super regeneration, as shown by his notes on the subject. He probably scribbled them down just before he fought you. This regeneration...the only thing that could've killed him was the Infinite Rotation, he could regenerate from a single cell if he had to. Only complete erasure could've stopped him." Jotaro said, scratching his chin. "The eye simply regenerated itself. It seems the Infinite Rotation separated the eye from it's user."
Izuku processed the information. "OkaysotheNecromancerisnolongerincontrolofitsomaybewecouldfindawaytoputittogooduseevencounteractthe-"
"Midoriya."
"S-sorry! Is...is there any way we can use this regeneration to our advantage? I mean-"
"Without the Necronomicon, the eye is nowhere near as powerful as it used to be. The only reason it's around right now is the nature of it's ability."
"Well...regeneration would come in handy in case I overdo it with OFA...can we at least consider it?" Izuku asked. "Even if it isn't as powerful, some extra healing would be a big help!"
Jotaro pressed his lips together. "We'll see, keep in mind that this thing came from the Necronomicon...we don't know if it will have a...negative effect on you."
"I see..." Izuku said, disappointed, and exited Jotaro's office.
"So..."
Izuku froze, and slowly turned aroun to find Kyoka glaring at him. "E-er..."
"The Necromancer left his power behind, and you didn't tell us?"
"P-please understand-"
"No need. I heard everything." Kyoka wiggled her jacks. "You want to use the eye to help with the whole breaking bones thing, right? You were afraid we would judge you."
"Well...yeah...that's exactly it. How did you-?"
"Izuku, sit with me for a moment, will you?"
Izuku nodded and sat next to Kyoka, who sighed. "I get it dude, I've been there. We both have similar backgrounds, both bullied in middle school and shit. I am constantly afraid of being judged, even now. That's the reason Johnny and I haven't made our relationship public yet, I'm afraid people will say I'm not good enough for him. You were judged your whole life, so you aren't used to acceptance just yet...Izuku, no one in our group, minus Bakugo, is going to suddenly hate you for this."
"I'm just afraid it would be breaking your trust. I mean, it's our enemy's power...and using it..."
"Izuku, my second hero costume is literally Magenta Magenta's jacket. I basically stole his property for my own personal gain. No one actually cares about that, do you really think they would care if you stole something from the Necromancer? The guy was a fucking dick, we'd just congratulate you for it."
"But...I feel selfish..."
"Self-improvement isn't a crime, Izuku. Especially when it can be used to help others...you're a good guy, one of the best I know, but...you don't need to worry so much. If you make a mistake, we'll let you know." Kyoka put a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Like right now, hiding this from us was wrong, especially since we worked our asses off to kill that guy, something like that is what we need to know."
"I'm sorry...I guess I pulled a JoJo..."
Kyoka snorted. "It's not as serious as that was...he was hurting himself, you were just keeping your research to yourself. Still...make sure to tell the others about it, alright?"
"I will."
"Good." Kyoka began walking away, before stopping. "I know you want to save everybody, it's who you are, but you can't do that by yourself. You have people behind you, so...remember that we are always in your corner."
"I'll try...thanks for being so understanding, Kyoka."
"Izuku, I know you, and I trust you. Oh...and by the the way..." Kyoka turned to Izuku with a smile. "If the eye turns out to be safe enough for you to use...I say go for it. I would pay money to see the look on that goat bastard's face if he ever found out you stole his ultimate power away from him."
"Unfortunately, he's a little bit too dead for you to see that."
"True, but I can dream. I'm still mad at that fucker for the bear trap."
"Yeah, he was a real pain in the leg."
Kyoka jabbed Izuku with a jack.
"So...this was the place?" Johnny asked, looking around the abandoned apartment. Giorno nodded, and put a hand on an old wooden crib. Johnny pressed his lips together. "She left the dishes in the sink...how many years ago was this?"
"Too long, she left everything here to leech off my step-father, apparently no one ever used this apartment after that. My mother...I don't even know where she is, she just left me with my stepfather, who was sort of like my version of Susan. Johnny...this is how we're connected." Giorno hung his head. "Recently, your father expressed his guilt for not being there for you...I share it."
"Why?"
"Because we came from the same place!" Giorno gestures around the room. "She used to leave me here, a CHILD! I run a goddamn mafia, I have enough influence to have her hunted down and killed, and yet all I did was ruin her reputation. Johnny...I've been away looking after Passione, but...I feel as though I've failed you as an uncle."
"DON'T SAY THAT!" Giorno was caught off guard, and Johnny composed himself. "Sorry, but...my dad isn't the only person I've looked up to, you know. You run a massive criminal empire, and yet it's a force for good. Do you know how hard that is? You have left the drug trade in shambles!"
"I'm aware of what I've accomplished, but that's not what I'm talking about. I should be around more, I have a family now, and you have gone through the same thing I did. I should be there for you." Giorno said, shaking his head. "I should've been there to help you heal."
"Uncle Giorno, does it look like I care about that? You're my uncle, even if I've only really known you for two years, you've already cemented yourself in my life. I don't care if you're in Italy, or South America, I think you're awesome."
Giorno was silent for a while, processing Johnny's words, before putting a hand on Johnny's shoulder and pulling his nephew into a hug. There were no words, but neither of them needed to, their bond was enough.
"Aww...how touching..."
The two Joestar's turned to find a fat man sucking on an oversized lollipop. "And who the hell are you?"
"I'm from the League of Bad Life Decisions, I have actually been following you two for a while. As you can see, I'm a bit on the heavier side, so my bad life decision is pretty obvious."
"A bit?"
"Shut up. My stand, Candy Store, will be the end of you!"
"It wouldn't happen to involve giant chocolate fountains, would it?" Johnny asked.
"Well...yes, actually! Anything my stand touches turns into candy! Funny story, I drowned one of my targets in a chocolate fountain just the other day..."
Well...almost drowned. Johnny smiled and pulled out his phone.
"Hey! Don't text while I'm threatening you!"
"Sorry, just letting my girlfriend know that I might be late." Johnny said. Giorno, who was somewhat in the dark about the situation, realized what was going on.
That girl the stand user mentioned...that must've been Jiro. Johnny was letting her know she has an opportunity for revenge. Giornosighed and took his cape off, letting the velvet fall to the floor. "I should warn you, our stands are two most powerful stands in the Joestar family, leave, and you won't get hurt."
"Leave?! You misunderstand! I'm here to kill you!"
"Don't make me repeat myself, I hate doing that when I shouldn't have to." Giorno warned. "It's useless."
The stand user shook his head. "Underestimating me just because I'm fat, are you? Well, the last person who did that was eaten at a fancy restaurant, because the customers assumed he was a normal creme brule!" A stand made entirely of candy materialized by the stand user. "I, SWEET TOOTH, WILL DEFINITELY KILL YOU!"
"Yare yare daze...welp, you warned him." Johnny said as Tusk Act 4 slammed it's fists together.
Gold Experience rolled it's shoulders back. "Yes, I did."
"Well, if it isn't Jiro!" Kyoka inwardly groaned as Setsuna Tokage threw an arm around her shoulder. "I saw that concert of yours at the Cultural Festival, it beat our stage play by a lot!"
"I'm sure they were good."
"Monoma is a terrible actor, trust me. So...I heard that you and JoJo were doing a bit of hand holding..." Setsuna said, her face becoming slightly serious. "I don't want to pry...but what's the deal with that?"
"We do that often." Kyoka responded, taking pleasure in watching Tokage's eye twitch.
"I'm sure it's platonic of course, I was just worried that people might get the wrong idea..."
She's trying to get me to admit we're dating. Well, I guess she'd want to know if the guy she is interested in is taken...but I don't trust her like Hagakure or our other classmates, she could try to steal him or something...
Not that she'd succeed, but Johnny would certainly be annoyed.
"It could be." Kyoka responded. "Why, are you interested?"
Setsuna shrugged. "Could be."
The two girls continued to walk down the hallway together, the tension building. Setsuna bit her lip as she snuck a glance at Kyoka. Why is she dodging the question? Damn it! She's in his class, she has the advantage...
It really kind of just happened, when she developed a crushed on the Joestar. He was good-looking, and the things he had managed to pull off just made her admire him. Recovering from a back injury that should've stuck his whole life, participating in the Yakuza Raid.
He was someone she wanted to know more about, but Kyoka seemed to have her claws stuck in him.
She has to like him...maybe he only thinks it's a friend thing, and Jiro is determined for it to be otherwise...
I have to at least try.
"So...did you hear that our homeroom teachers signed off on a combined class?"
"Really?" Kyoka asked.
"Yeah, we're gonna compete against each other! I'm not gonna underestimate you guys though!"
"Same."
"Maybe we'll even end up fighting each other! I heard your earphone jacks pack quite a punch, but I wonder how you could deal with multiple targets." Setsuna said, and Kyoka knew that this was a disguised challenge.
"Well, sound covers a large area, it really depends on how many decibels I put into the attack. Besides, I'm not a one trick pony, I've got a few more skills under my belt than just my jacks."
"I'm sure you do." Setsuna responded.
Kyoka felt her phone buzz, so she pulled it out and saw it was from Johnny.
Horseshoe: Kyoka, would you be a dear and help me and my uncle beat the shit out of the guy that tried to drown you?
Setsuna watched as Kyoka smirked. "What is it?"
"Oh nothing...just...someone's about to get their comeuppance, I need to go, it was nice talking to you!" Kyoka ran off, grinning, leaving her rival confused.
"Whatever that text message was, it made her real happy..."
"Kyoka was right, you really can't swim in chocolate fondue." Johnny said, slowly sinking into the chocolatey goodness.
Gold Experience ducked under a punch from Candy Store, and kicked out at the enemy stand's knee. "His power appears to be in his hands, the rest of his body is safe to touch!"
"Good to know!" Johnny spun out of the chocolate, and launched several nail bullets at the enemy, but Candy Store deflected it, and sent a volley of Jolly Ranchers in response. The Jolly Rancher bullets were deflected as well, but one went straight into Johnny's shoulder.
"OW!" Johnny examined the wound. "Careful, they're like real bullets!"
"Good to know!" Giorno said, leaning beside his nephew. "This is pointless, we can't get in close with all of this chocolate... Gold Experience!"
Giorno touched his old crib, and it grew into a massive tree, carrying the two Joestars out of the rundown apartment and through the roof. Johnny sighed as Giorno used the Jolly Rancher in his shoulder to replace the damaged tissue. "He was gonna flood the whole place, I can't believe he's lasted this long."
"Our opponent is smarter than he looks, he keeps increasing the flow of chocolate, knowing full well it's making it harder to reach him. To think that something so trivial could be a deadly weapon..." Giorno said, deep in thought.
"Then this is matter of who has the most distance." Johnny said. "That means it's up to me."
"Us." Giorno corrected. "Take my hand, I have an idea."
"Alright."
Giorno took Johnny's hand and nodded, and Johnny got the picture. "I remember you saying you did this with Mista, do you think it'll work with my nail bullets?"
"We're about to find out."
Johnny fired, and a nail bullet slammed into the building across from them. A tree began to grow from the impact, and Johnny was surprised.
"That tree...it just grew from my wormhole...if it's hooked onto the power of infinity then..."
"It'll keep growing until I remove Gold Experience. We have an infinite bridge." Giorno stated.
Sure enough, the tree kept growing with no sign of stopping. Johnny had combined the Golden Spin with his uncle's stand ability, thus they as much distance as they could ever want.
The two Joestars ran alongside the ever expanding tree trunk as Sweet Tooth burst from the building, watching in shock. "My chocolate can't reach them! Dammit!" The enemy stand user ceased his chocolate flow, and began using his stand to turn nearby cars into Graham crackers, and eventually crafted a giant s'more, using it to bounce up to the tree, grabbing onto the trunk.
"He's up here now!" Johnny observed, and Giorno smiled.
"All according to plan. We have full control over this tree, which means that unlike before, he's fighting on our battlefield."
Sweet Tooth laughed as he charged them, but they kept running whenever he did, keeping distance between them. "YOU CAN'T RUN FOREVER!"
"Izuku, you're an idiot." Gyro stated, staring at the Necromancer's eye, which was currently being kept in a glass container. The circular ring of energy was staring back at them.
"I'm sorry, I was afraid you guys would be against researching it." Izuku said.
Momo, who sitting to the side drinking her tea, took a deep breath. "We all know how dangerous that monster was...from what the notes say, only JoJo or Gyro would've been able to kill him. Luckily, we did, thanks to your Infinite Shotput...but knowledge is the greatest power of all." Momo turned to Izuku. "To know how your enemy worked, how his ability functioned, it makes it easier to deal with people like the Necromancer in the future, yes?"
"I'm glad you guys understand...if the eye is safe, we can turn what could've been the death of us into something that could save us in the future." Izuku stated. "But...we have to make sure there is nothing left of him, before we do that."
"He was obliterated two different ways at once, Izuku. There is absolutely nothing left of the Necromancer, aside from an empty skull." Gyro said, shaking his head. "You couldn't kill someone any deader than that."
"That's why I'm thinking it's probably safe. If we could find some way to tap into the Necromancer's super regeneration, we could prevent injuries without having to worry about worrying Recovery Girl or Mr. Higashikata. Maybe I could use higher percentages of OFA without having any permanent damage done to my body, or maybe we could use it to heal others! This could be a good thing for us." Izuku explained.
Gyro scratched his facial hair, and closed his eyes. "It could...but you have to promise us that if it is dangerous, that it'll be contained and never used. I know it could be the ace in our deck...but no offense Izuku, you have a track record of being a bit reckless. I mean, you basically threw yourself at an undying demon that could fight toe-to-toe with One For All."
"I know...but I would never put you guys in danger-"
"What about yourself?" Momo interjected. "We're worried about you, not ourselves."
"Well-"
"That's what we're making you promise, Izuku. Don't use that thing, even if it could be helpful, I'd there is even the slightest hint of danger. I'm serious." Gyro came and put a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Sometimes sacrifices need to be made, but you can get along fine without this thing. Please, promise us you won't use it if it's dangerous."
Izuku blinked. "I won't...I guess I have been a bit reckless in the past...I won't use it unless it's safe!"
"Good." Gyro said, sitting back down. "I'd hate for you to start mutating into Necromancer 2.0 or some shit, not that you'd ever be like him on the inside."
"Well, at least people wouldn't call me plain anymore!"
Sweet Tooth panted, trudging along the infinite tree. "Stop...running...can't...breathe...oh God..."
The enemy stand user fell to his knees. "This goddamn tree isn't ending...I had hoped to corner them at a dead end...but...oh my blood pressure..."
Johnny looked back, and looked down at the city below. "We've only been going about three miles."
"His bad life decision was laziness and gluttony, it's a miracle he even made it one." Giorno responded. "Guess the family technique was a little too much for him."
"Think we've got him winded enough to attack?"
"Let's find out."
Johnny readied a nail bullet, aiming slightly to the left of the winded enemy, and fired. The wind blew the spinning bullet into the guy's leg. Sweet Tooth screamed and looked at his leg, only to find a spinning wormhole...
Which quickly turned into a real one, that went completely through his leg.
"AAAAAAAGH!" Sweet Tooth stumbled to the side, almost falling off the tree and to his death, but managed to regain his balance, his leg bleeding profusely. "OH YEAH?! TAKE THIS!"
A Jolly Rancher flew harmlessly over Giorno's head. "He really isn't good when it comes to distance, is he?"
Sweet Tooth grinned. "You guys really think you've outsmarted me, haven't you? Well, I hate to break it to you, but I could've killed you the whole time! Watch!"
Candy Store punched the trunk, and while a portion of it was turned into Skittles, Sweet Tooth's cheek was caved in, and his eyeballs popped out, both in surprise and from the impact. "HUH?!"
"All of my creations have protection. Whatever is done to them, is done to you instead. While they aren't immune to stand abilities, you probably shouldn't have punched it." Giorno explained. "You see, we have a battlefield that you can't manipulate, we could've killed you the whole time."
Sweet Tooth rubbed his bruising cheek, and began walking towards them. "I bet you think someone like me, a lazy ass nobody, wouldn't have a fighting spirit...but you're wrong! Sure, I've been unmotivated...but I'm trying to change that, I'm trying to live better. That's why I have to kill you, so I can be better."
"I have to admire that." Giorno admitted. "Okay, how about this? I'll get in close, and whoever strikes the first blow will decide the fight." Johnny opened his mouth, but soon realized that his uncle had a certain look in his eye, and backed down.
"I like the sound of that." Sweet Tooth said, and Giorno walked up to him, each step echoing across the ever expanding wooden bridge.
Johnny noticed a frog climbing up his shirt, and noticed that Giorno was missing one of his ladybug brooches. The frog spat out a piece of paper into Johnny's hand, which read:
Catch me.
Johnny understood, and put Tusk on standby.
"You know...you gave off a pretty honorable impression back there, it's actually quite surprising." Giorno said.
"Why is it surprising?"
"One, your pocket has a slight indent in it, indicating that you plan on using whatever object is inside to pull your chocolate tactic again." Sweet Tooth turned white. "Two, the last time you attacked, it was a hit and run, meaning you've been putting up a brave front in order to get us to respect you, while in actuality you're a two-faced bastard." The enemy stand user began to back away. "Three, my stand is not only fast, but I don't feel inclined to play fair with someone like you. JOHNNY NOW!"
Johnny snapped his finger, deactivating the wormhole that the infinite tree grew out of. The tree immediately began to splinter, as all three plummeted to the ground several stories below. The tree had been growing diaganoly, slowly rising up as well as out.
Sweet Tooth screamed as he fell through the air, unable to stop his descent, while Gold Experience appeared in front of him mid-fall.
"WAIT! NO-"
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
Gold Experience finished it's beatdown, and punched Sweet Tooth towards the street below. Tusk caught Giorno, and Johnny integrated his stand with his body, landing on the street below, causing cracks and fissures to appear in the pavement.
Sweet Tooth landed in chocolate. He had thrown the object in his pocket before the beatdown, and thus his ability saved him. He slowly climbed out, and began staggering away. "You...fuckers...looking down on me just because I'm fat."
"Hold it."
Sweet Tooth looked up to find Kyoka Jiro stomping towards him, holding a can of whipped cream. "YOU'RE ALIVE?!"
"Oh hell yeah I'm alive!" Kyoka said with a grin, shaking the whipped cream. "And ready for revenge! JoJo, could you do me a favor and hold him still?"
"I've got something better." Giorno said, and his arm began to glow yellow. "MUDA!"
Giorno socked Sweet Tooth across the face, and the enemy stand user staggered around, looking lost.
"What was that?" Johnny asked.
"I sent life energy into him, he is now experiencing everything in slow motion, because his senses have gone into overdrive." Giorno explained. "Including pain."
Kyoka blinked, before slowly turning her head towards the dazed Sweet Tooth. "Nice and slow, huh? Like how I was sinking into that chocolate..."
"The serial killer known as Sweet Tooth was found today, shivering and begging for mercy." The news reporter stated. "He has been at large for quite a while, using his dangerous stand too make people die bizarre, food related deaths.
Today he was found with whipped cream in his eyes, ears, and...*snort* his anal cavity. While the person that did this to him remains unknown, the families of his victims can finally rest easy knowing that he is safe behind bars, with an irrational fear of the very sweets he used as a weapon.
Kyoka turned off the television, satisfied, and happily put a spoonful of chocolate pudding in her mouth. "Revenge is sweet my friends, revenge is sweet."
"I have never been more proud, or more terrified." Johnny responded.
"I think you could've done more to him, Ears." Bakugo chimed in. "You should've beat his ass on top of it."
"I...do not agree with this..." Momo said, shivering. "Kyoka, why his an-"
"IT'S SAFE!" Izuku came into the room, grinning from ear to ear. "It isn't dangerous at all!"
"Really?!" Gyro said. "I was sure it was..."
"No, Dr. Kujo said that it can be used for good! It doesn't harm the person who uses it at all, it doesn't even change them!" Izuku said excitedly. "We can definitely use it!"
"That's good news." Kyoka said. "Hey Izuku, do you want to know how much whipped cream can fit into a-"
"STOP!" Momo yelled. "I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT!"
"The guy has killed dozens of people YaoMomo, he's lucky we didn't kill him." Kyoka responded. "I think humiliating him is the least we could've done."
"You do realize that was basically the first interaction you've had with my uncle, right? That's your first impression, he is forever going to think of that when he thinks about you." Johnny said, and Kyoka frowned.
"Yeah...I mean, he gave me the opportunity to do it."
"I suppose that's true." Johnny responded, before turning to Izuku. "So, now that we know it's safe, what do you want to do with it?"
"Actually, I was hoping we could all go over that together!" Izuku said. "It's the least I could do, since I kept it from all of you."
The group all exchanged looks, before they all nodded.
"Let me finish my pudding, Green Bean, and pull out that notebook." Kyoka said, smiling. "We've got some brainstorming to do."
