The Grant Family return to Hope Valley for the summer, will they find peace and happiness they seek or will troubles from the past come back to haunt them. This will be a weekly posting for now. This is an AU story & my take on what should have happened with Elizabeth & Jack. Many of the original events of the series will be included, as well as some that I create. Some of the events will be omitted and others will be changed to fit my story. The timeline of the events have also changed to fit what I wanted to tell. There are now more Mounties for Nathan to work with. They had helped save his life and Amy was beholden to them and she had vowed to make good with her life. There is a sea captain who needs to be reunited with his wife at Hope Valley and now there is a Mountie Captain from Fort Clay who has entered Elizabeth's life. A young Mountie gives his life so that a young girl could live.

One shot based on what I think should have happened after Lucas won the election.

Elizabeth Grant lost her husband Nathan to a fire when he was in the line of duty working as Chief for Denver Fire Department. Nathan's best friend and coworker, Lucas Bouchard took over the duties that he left behind, but lost touch with his widow and children. Will they get back in touch? is Elizabeth ready to move forward and open her heart again?

What if Bill didn't interrupt Elizabeth and Nathan at the end of the season 10 finale?

After so much talk about Nathan and Elizabeth being "just friends," I thought it might be fun to do a one-shot of their story inspired by the experts on friendship - Friends. Just some silliness to hopefully give you a smile as we wait for Season 11.
