1. Prologue

Years after the death of Dracula and his reign of terror ended in Transylvania, the hunter Gabrielle Van Helsing has resumed his work for the Knights of the Holy Order. Yet he is still haunted by memories of the darkness he thought he had left behind.

Now a new mystery has brought him back to the land, and it is very personal to him.

A castle has mysteriously appeared in Transylvania, and the Order has ordered Van Helsing to investigate. A vampiress known as Carmilla and her daughters have taken residence inside the castle and they have some scheme to use the Castle's magic for some unknown purpose. Now Van Helsing, along with the friar Carl, must join forces with other mysterious hunters and even other vampires if he wants to thwart Carmilla's grand ambition: which may include the resurrection of Count Dracula himself!
