As I looked at the sky, sitting on the ground under a tree's shade in the courtyard of Uther's castle, I couldn't help but to relax, something I felt I haven't done in a long time.

As expected, peace and tranquility are the best things a man could ask for. Merlin and Ector are with Uther so I won't be bothered by them for some time. Apparently, there was something they needed to talk about in utter secrecy, so they left the castle using Merlin's teleportation Magecraft.

I wonder if it's about Arthur being adopted into my family. Well, if I'm right, I'll get to meet him later.

In any case, I managed to copy every sword in the armory, enlarging my collection of spirit swords even more, and I even got a pretty good bow for free, so I'm pretty satisfied. And there is no Merlin or any guards around to be a pain in the ass, so life is pretty good right now... well, except for that girl spying on me.

With a sigh, as I could feel a pair of eyes watching me, I glanced in its direction where I saw Morgan hiding behind a wall, shyly observing me.

What's wrong with her? She's been watching me for some time, it's becoming a bit awkward for me. If she wants to talk, she can just come and speak to me. It's not like I'll bite her or anything. If anything, I'm just a harmless kid... Hmm... Nah, scratch that. I'm anything but that.

Fighting on a battlefield for the first time at eight where I was the one who killed the most people, earning a knighthood soon after before beating most of her father's guards... Yeah, I think that she would be a bit scared about approaching me.

At least, I would be if I was at her place because that's not what a child would be capable of, but a monster. Great, just thinking about it makes me a little depressed.

Scratching my head, I turned to Morgan, who jumped back when our eyes met, before smiling and waving at her. And to my surprise, she gave me a little wave in return.

Oh, so instead of being scared of me, she's shy. Well, if that's the case, I won't force her to come and interact with me. I think it's better to let them come at their own pace rather than going to them. And I hope I gave her the impression that I'm approachable by smiling at her...

Well, everything will depend on her. Anyway, I'm tired as hell so I think I'll just take a nap right here. The weather feels good too so I think it's a good opportunity.

After laying with my back on the ground, I slowly closed my eyes as I felt the wind caress my skin.

Yeah, this is the ideal weather to take a nap...

As I let out a yawn, I started to feel my mind faze out from exhaustion, having not recovered entirely from yesterday's event and this morning's fist fight. But then, I was alerted by some footsteps coming in my direction.

Those are... Morgan's? I'm not hearing any sounds that would come from steel boots so it can't be a guard...

Fighting back the urge to sleep, I waited with my eyes closed as I slowly heard light footsteps coming closer before they came to a halt a few feet away from me.

"Is he already asleep?"

I can barely hear her voice. But still, I wonder why she came now that I'm trying to sleep? Well, I guess I'll just fake sleep for now and wait... I don't want to open my eyes and startle her. I feel like it would cause some problems if I made the little princess scream.

As I fought the urge to sleep, I felt something softly brush my bangs.

"Looking at him like this, he looks like any other child. I wonder why Merlin is so interested in him. She never involved herself with people that much in the past, always putting a wall between herself and others, so why would she choose to attach herself with that child?"

Why would she mention Merlin? Oh, now that I think about it, wasn't Merlin supposed to be Morgan's Magecraft teacher? I wonder if I can get Merlin to teach me Magecraft as well, but knowing her, I'm sure that she won't do anything she doesn't find interesting…

Maybe I can bait her into teaching me. I could say that I wouldn't mind telling her why she isn't able to see me with her Clairvoyance or go into my dreams in exchange for her becoming my teacher, only to tell her that it's because I got those abilities from the same being that gave me Seofon's powers. It's not a lie nor the whole truth, but it's still a legitimate answer I could give her. It will be a good payback for all the teasing she gave me.

"And there is also what she told me just earlier..."

What did she tell her about me? I hope it's not anything malicious, but knowing that woman, I'm sure she did say something really weird… Hmm?

Suddenly feeling something touch my cheek before I felt a hand on it surprising me for a moment.

Did she just cup my cheek?

"Child of man, as foretold by Merlin, will you really be the one who will realize the wishes of the Çatalhöyük, her wishes to see humanity outgrow this dying planet and reach the stars beyond the sky. If so, I shall see for myself if you really possess the ability and will to carve open a path to the future, even if it means consuming your mother planet in order to reach out for new frontiers."

…Whut? What did she just say now? The wishes of who? Alright, what did Merlin say about me? Is she trying to give me some problems to solve that don't concern me in any way to solve or something? That woman... Maybe I should crucify her or something. No, that's going a bit too far. I'll limit myself to spanking her until I'm satisfied.

But still, why would Merlin tell her about me being the one to... make humanity go to space? At least, it's what I understood from what she just said. Sorry, but I'm the last person who could do that. I'm not as smart or knowledgeable as Senku to build some kind of spaceships, nor am I charismatic enough to have people following me into building colonies in space so we could have Gundam wars in the future.

So please, princess, tell Merlin to stop doing drugs, even if I don't think they exist in this era… Why do I suddenly feel a lot of eyes upon me all of a sudden?

"Oh, Father! It… It's not what you think!" I heard Morgan shout and I felt my stomach turn.

Father? Don't tell me they're back already... Then those eyes watching me are...

"How fascinating. I thought that attracting Merlin's attention wasn't enough, but my daughter's as well? I have to say, Ector, your son will become a heartbreaker in the near future."

"I... will do my best to not let this happen."

Wouldn't it be really bad for me if they found out I was only faking being asleep? Alright, ignore everything around and just fall asleep right now, me. Don't think of anything, just breathe steadily and let your mind faze out...

...

Shit... I can't sleep. Alright, plan B it is.

"Hmm..."

After moaning a bit, I slowly opened my eyes as if I just woke up before letting out a yawn.

"You are... Princess Morgan? What are you doing here?" I said when I laid my eyes upon her, trying to be as clueless as possible about both her presence and the situation going on.

"No... Nothing important. I saw you laying on the ground and thought you passed out, so I came to check on you, that's all."

"Ah, I see..." I'm pretty sure that's a lie, but I'll ignore it. "Thank you for your concern, my lady. I appreciate it." I said as I gave her a smile and I blinked when I saw her blush before she turned her face away in apparent embarrassment.

To think that the wicked witch Morgan would be this shy in her youth, if I was told this without ever meeting her like this, I would have thought for sure that it would be a lie. But still, seeing her like that makes me want to tease her but since Uther is here, I'll refrain from doing it.

Then, I turned to Uther and the others before trying to look surprised at their presence.

"Oh, your lordship!" I shouted as I quickly knelt on my knees, then looked down at the ground to hide my expression from them. "I apologize for showing you this shameful appearance once again."

"I don't mind. You may be a knight but you are still a child. Considering what you've been through since yesterday, it is no wonder that you would be exhausted by now. However, you should rest in your room, instead of the courtyard."

"Thank you for your generosity."

I then raised my head to see that Uther had an amused expression on his face while Ector seemed to be indifferent, looking as stern as ever. I couldn't really tell if I managed to dupe them, much to my disappointment.

On the other hand, I can tell I definitely didn't fool her...

Holding back a sigh, I glanced at Merlin who was behind both men and she had a grin on her face while trembling, as if she tried her best to not laugh. Then, when I saw her give me a thumbs up, I felt the urge to jump at her and give her a Subaru-style Neck-and-Backbreaker.

But before I could even glare at her, I noticed something moving behind Merlin, attiring my attention.

This is... a child? Then it must be Arthur...huh? Wait, what? Isn't this timeline supposed to be the prototype one? Then why...

"Oh, it seems you noticed her." I heard Uther talk but I didn't look at him at all, instead staring at the child who was hiding behind Merlin before she popped her head out, curiously looking at me from afar with her green eyes. "This is Artorius, and from today, he will be your little brother. He will be living with you and your father, so be nice to him."

...

"WHAT?!" I heard Morgan scream just next to me while I could only stare at the young child, stunned by the fact that my sibling wouldn't be Arthur just like I thought but Artoria herself.
