In order to prepare for the final Singularity where King Solomon awaited them, Ritsuka Fujimaru headed to the summoning room with her trusted friend and first Servant, Mash Kyrielight.
"I can't wait to see what kind of Heroic Spirits will answer our call this time, Senpai."
"Me too. I hope that they're willing to fight with us so we can restore the world and Human Order, but still, I am surprised that you decided to come with us this time, Artoria Lily-san." Ritsuka said as she looked at the Servant who followed them close behind, giving them a bright smile.
"Yes. When I heard that you were heading to the summoning room, I felt like something important was going to happen today so I wanted to join you."
"I see... Is it her Instinct skill at work? Maybe something really good is going to happen. I guess there is just one way to find out." Ritsuka said excitedly as she opened the room's door and went inside with Mash and Artoria close behind her.
"Senpai, everything is ready." Mash said as she placed down her shield on the ground while looking at her Master who nodded before she looked up at one of the cameras installed in the room.
"Da Vinci! We're ready anytime!"
[Okay~! Leave it to the genius that I am! Activation of the system FATE... Switch ON!!]
And as they heard Da Vinci shout through a speaker, Mash's shield that was on the floor started to shine in a bright light, illuminating the room and blinded the girls, forcing them to shield and close their eyes for a moment. Then, once they felt the light had gone out, they looked at the spot where the shield was placed to see a brown-haired young man standing on it.
'He's young...' That was Ritsuka's first impression of the Servant before her.
He seemed to be around her age. He wore a high collar sleeveless black shirt with a red interior, black pants and boots, a red cloth around his waist, and wore a pauldron on his left shoulder. She couldn't tell from his outfit from which period he hailed from, but again, she knew many Servants who wore outfits that were inappropriate for their respective era.
"Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Fujimaru Ritsuka, a Master from Chalde–"
[Hey, what's going on over here?! We got confirmation that we summoned a Servant, we can even see him through the cameras, so why can't we detect anything?! No Saint Graph! No Magical Energy! Nothing!] Just as she started to introduce herself, Ritsuka heard Romani scream through the speaker, leading her to just blink in surprise before she looked at the young man in front of her, a bit embarrassed.
"Excuse me, if you don't mind waiting for introductions but… do you have an idea why this is happening?"
"Sorry about that, but I can't be observed through any supernatural means from people I do not consider my allies, be it through Magecraft or anything similar to Clairvoyance."
[I see. If this is true, then it's no wonder we can't detect you since nearly all of our devices here are made through a synthesis of Magecraft and technology in ways that combine the strengths of both. But if I understand your explanation correctly, if you consider us your ally, then this bizarre phenomenon should vanish, right?]
"Indeed, but the question is, are you worthy of my trust?" Ritsuka widened her eyes when a translucent blue sword appeared in the Servant's hand, prompting Mash to jump in front of her while donning her armor to protect her, but she saw him stabbed it on the floor in front of him before placing his hands over the pommel, as if posing in front of them.
"My name is–""Big brother Kay!"
Interrupting her was Artoria Lily who suddenly ran straight at the Servant, making Ritsuka blink her eyes when she felt a burst of wind coming from the spot Artoria Lily was. Then, she saw her approaching him in a blink of an eye before she pounced at him like a missile, her head diving straight into his stomach.
"Gah!" She heard the Servant say before he was sent flying by Artoria's charge and fell on the ground on his back, seemingly knocked out.
"What... just happened?" She heard Mash say who looked as stunned as she did as they could only stare in confusion at Artoria who was rubbing her face against the Servant's stomach.
"As expected, I had a feeling that you would be summoned, Big brother! Ah~ That smell~ that warmth~ it's really you!"
"I had a hunch when I saw you... so you're really my little sister..."
"Yes, it's your favorite little sister!" Artoria excitedly said, making the Servant chuckle.
"Eh, it's hard to not be when you're my only sister." He said as he brought his hand to her head and patted it and Ritsuka and Mash could only stare in amazement at how blissful Artoria looked from his touch.
"Artoria Lily-san said 'big brother', then does that mean..." Mash started to say with Leonardo's voice taking over her through the speakers.
[You must be Kay, foster brother of Arthur Pendragon and a member of the Knight of the Round Table. However, judging by this youthful appearance, you must have been summoned in your youth like Artoria present here.]
"That's right. This is the appearance I had when I was around eighteen, a little before Artoria pulled Caliburn out of the stone, I suppose. In any case, I'll introduce myself once again." The Servant named Kay said as he stood up before he stared straight at us, making both Ritsuka and Mash shiver just from his gaze.
"My name is Kay, the Star Sword Sovereign. A Saber class Servant. Although I'm nothing compared to when I was at my prime, I'm sure I won't disappoint you with what I can do. It's a pleasure to meet you, people from Chaldea." He said with a grin, and despite his serious expression, the girls couldn't help but to not take him seriously because of Artoria who was still clinging onto him, her face stuck against his stomach, breathing heavily.
