Several days have passed since the events of Londinium where Arthur Pendragon made his first appearance, his name soon becoming a huge talking topic in Britain as many stories have been told of the young lord who was prophesied to be king to save the country and lead it to a golden age.
It all started from the day following his achievement of pulling the sword of selection from its stone, which many failed before him, and his action in defeating an army of Saxons that approached the ruined town with only a single knight by his side, the tales being told by Londinium's inhabitants as they witnessed the whole event thanks to the Great Magus Merlin's Magecraft.
According to their words, Arthur fought like a force of nature, taking down his foes like a hurricane despite his fairy-like grace and elegant swordsmanship. Meanwhile, his sole partner was said to be as fearsome as a giant, a single swing of his sword felling many of his enemies at once.
No one among the Saxons could stand in their way, resulting in a one-sided massacre as none suffered any injuries from the event.
And thus was born the first chronicle about Arthur Pendragon.
And since then, as the days passed, the number of stories about Arthur and his entourage began to increase more and more as tales of his deeds spread across the country.
It was said that after the event in Londinium, Arthur returned to Carmenthan, his hometown in South Wales, and that on his way back, he took down many bandits settlements, rescuing many slaves in the process, and helped several villages that were ravaged by the flames of wars or under oppression from foreigners or outlaws, offering the refugees asylum in his own village.
Due to his charitable actions and good will, Arthur quickly became known as a selfless young man and a defender of the weak and the helpless, earning admiration and respect from many.
And quickly, he eventually made South Wales his territory, driving back both bandits and foreigners from his realm, making the land a peaceful place devoid of fights and violence.
But the most mysterious rumor about him was that upon his return to his hometown, the soil in South Wales became quickly richer, resulting in crops becoming abundant and forests teeming with bounties, a complete opposite of the rest of the country where the land was poor with crops and bounties becoming scarce.
Hearing of such feats and rumors, the people of Britain rejoiced with joy at Arthur's proactivity, rekindling a bit of hope in their hearts as they all slowly started to have faith in Merlin's prophecy, some of them even departing to Wales in order to escape the war and start a new life in these blessed lands, despite the dangers that could come across their paths.
On the other hand, several kings feared Arthur's existence as Uther's heir as his mere presence and growing reputation were seen as a threat to their rule, causing them to not acknowledge him as their rightful overlord like Uther intended, but instead considered the young man to be their enemy.
Meanwhile, in Carmenthan...
"Arthur, may I ask why you brought a puppy to a war meeting?" Ector asked his foster daughter, staring in confusion at the panting puppy in her arms.
"Oh, this little guy? I saw him chasing after his own tail near the river, he was so cute so I just decided to take him with me."
"No, I didn't ask you where you found him. Also, don't take an animal with you like that. What if that puppy is somebody's pet?"
"I don't think that's the case. I mean, he was all alone and dirty when I found him. And just before coming here, I made a tour in the village and asked everybody if Cavall was their dog which they all denied."
"You already gave him a name... In any case, where are Kay and the Great Magus? I believe I told them to come to my office as we had pressing matters to talk about."
"Brother went to help the farms, apparently, since we got a lot of newcomers in our village, we thought it would be good to expand the lands so he went to deal with it. As for Merlin, she said something about spicing something up so she went somewhere, where exactly, I don't know."
"Oh lord... And I told them that it was imperative that they come as we need to plan our next courses of action. Ever since that day in Londinium, Arthur's name has been known to all in Britain and while it uplifted the hope in many people, there are also many who aren't happy with the fact that you're the prophesied king destined to save and rule this country."
"Eh? Seriously?! Ahaha... Now, I'm feeling a bit nervous, knowing that I'm known all over country." Artoria said as she scratched her cheek in embarrassment, being ignorant about the rumors about herself, causing Ector to let out a sigh.
"This is no laughing matter..." He muttered as he shook his head before he frowned when he saw his office's door being open.
"Sorry, I'm late."
"Ah, Brother, you're finally... What happened to... both of you?" Artoria asked as she looked at Kay who was, for some unknown reasons, shirtless and drenched to the bones despite the sunny weather outside and was carrying an unconscious Merlin under his arm, the succubus having a bump on the top of her head.
"You see, Merlin had the great idea to tell the villagers to expand the farms next to a pond where an aquatic monster lived. Honestly, I wonder if she was trying to help them or just kill them..."
"An aquatic monster?"
"Yeah, it was a giant frog with a bat's wings on its back. It didn't have forelegs or hind legs, it had a long, lizard-like tail with a stinger at the end."
Hearing the description of the monster from Kay, Ector just collapsed on his seat, placing his hands over his face, as he realized that the monster his son killed was Llamhigyn Y Dwr, an evil creature who was mentioned in the folklores of the region.
"I need a drink..." He muttered once more, wanting to forget both the fact that this creature lived near the village he was residing in and how he was the only one among the people present in the room that seemed to be concerned about their future.
"Brother, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Did you really come all the way from the pond to here in that outfit?" Artoria asked as she looked over Kay's body, both shirtless and wet, while he nodded.
"Yeah, because of that frog, my shirt got ruined so I took it off. Is there a problem?"
"I can think of many..." She muttered, fearing that her brother may have seduced many women with his body, sincerely hoping that he didn't manage to gather their attention, especially married women. The last thing she wants is for married couples to be separated because of him.
Meanwhile, at the pond...
"Really, it surprise me how strong that boy became in just a month, not to mention Artoria... I wonder how they managed to grow that strong that quick..."
[It doesn't matter! Damn Merlin and Uther, I'll make them pay for their betrayal... And Kay, no matter the cost, I have to make his power mine!]
[And that body too... Ahh... Why can't Lot be as good as him...]
[Damn it, Morgan! Stop acting like a bitch in heat!]
[Say you who keeps records of him! Didn't you wrote in that diary of yours how you wanted to kill Lot and have Kay as your king and dominate him!]
[Wha... How dare you look into it?!]
Hearing the voices screaming at each others in her mind, the fair lady let out a sigh before she thought back of Kay, his wet body being reflected in her mind.
'That was... quite something...'
[Vivian!]
