2 Split?
The TARDIS hummed quietly as the door opened inwards. She knew the Doctor was regenerating. She knew there was a very real chance the newest incarnation of her Time Lord would need her to protect them for a while. It was always tricky, knowing what sort of state the Doctor would be in. It was the first regeneration for Millenia where the Doctor had left the Blue Box to regenerate. 'One more sunrise' The TARDIS had thought to herself. She knew there was no guarentee what would return.
"Doctor." The TARDIS hummed, trying to summon the newest incarnation in. She knew that wherever she was, the TARDIS was the one thing in the Time Lord's life that was constant. As if just thinking about the Time Lord would force them to return a figure in a dark suit fell through the open door.
"What?" The skinny figure looked around the room. "What?"
Another figure fell through behind her. The TARDIS almost squealed in shock as she saw the previous Doctor fall to her knees.
"I." She rubbed her head as her previous incarnation looked at her. "This is not happening. I heard the Cloister Bell. I saw the golden lights. I. I should have gone."
"Yeah."
"You were me ages ago."
"Yeah."
"Then why? What is going on?"
"Not a clue. I really don't know who I am anymore."
The Doctor fell backwards, landing on her bottom. "This is going to get confusing. Its like when the other me is here. That just leads to so much being muddled up."
"There's another one?"
"Yeah. Ruth. Only she isn't Ruth. She is me. Er us. I think I'm getting a headache."
"Me too." He watched her. "I think I was what? The tenth incarnation? You're what? The twentieth?"
"NO. Cheek of it. I'm the thirteenth." She watched him as he walked around her TARDIS.
"You redecorated."
"I don't care if you like it." She answered. "I love it."
He smiled. "Me too."
The TARDIS hummed happily. "Did you hear that?"
"Yeah." He smiled. "It's something to do with a watch."
"Don't go there." She paused. "She definitely said we are twins. Twin Doctors."
"Yeah. Fantastic."
"Yeah." She smiled "Brilliant."

"Right." Martha pulled her jacket on. "I've got a train to catch."
"Give Jack and the others my love." Yaz smiled slightly as Graham walked in.
"Martha love, Dan is asking if you want a lift to the station." He crossed to the computer as Yaz watched him. Martha smiled before heading down to the lobby to meet Dan. She liked the older man, it seemed he had left the TARDIS the same way she had. There was a bond there very few others would understand.
Yaz watched Graham for a moment as he booted up the computer. His glasses perched on the end of his nose as he concentrated.
"Kate is still keen to get in touch with the Doctor." He stated. "Ace seems to think."
"Ace? You and her are getting close."
"Eh?"
"You and Ace."
"What about it."
"You like her."
"Behave." he looked up at his younger friend. "She's a mate. Same as you."
"No, she isn't. Ace and I are friends. You and her are." She smirked as he blushed. "You like her."
"Course I do. She is a mate. Ow many more times." He sighed.
"Does Ryan know? Does he approve?"
"He isn't home yet." Graham stated. "He is doing ok."
"Good. Have you told him you've met someone?" Yaz smiled as he rolled his eyes.
"Nothing to tell."
"I've seen the way you look at her. Grace would want you to be happy, you know?"
"Yeah." He paused as he slumped back in the chair. "I know. But there is no one who can replace her. She was."
Yaz tilted her head. "Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Ryan told me all about her. I wish I had known her properly. But Ace is lovely, and she likes you." Graham shrugged. "Don't be lonely. Not when you don't have to be." She squeezed his shoulder before heading out of the room. Graham watched her go, wondering when the younger woman had become so wise.

Kate stared at the monitor in shock as she realised that the Regeneration had gone wrong. She didn't know how or why but she knew that this time it had been different. She had been trying to get hold of the Doctor since Tegan and Dan had advised her that Yaz needed a job.
"Come on." She watched the dot on the screen as she chewed the end of her pen. She knew something had happened. "Doctor. Answer me." She sighed as the blue dot flickered before disappearing. "Doctor." Kate huffed in frustration. It seemed whatever was going on there was no way she was going to speak to the Time Lord until they decided to get in touch with her. Biting her lip she turned as the door to her office burst open. "Ever heard of knocking?"
"Sorry." The red haired woman snapped. "Sontarians sighted above the Northen Hemisphere. Iain is trying to track them." She paused as Kate swore under her breath. "Any news?"
"No." Kate paused. "I think this time we are on our own."
