Graham blinked back the disbelief as he realised there were two versions of the Doctor in front of him. He glanced at Tegan who just shrugged. It was Ace who recovered first. Kate rested her hands on the desk in front of her, pointedly ignoring the fact that there was apparently two Time Lords in her meeting room.

"Sorry, but what is this?" Ace looked from one Doctor to the other. "Two for One?"

"Yeah, I mean how?" Graham asked.

"Not a clue." Ten answered as Thirteen shot him a look he remembered all too well.

"Well, it ain't Boots. We don't get two for one deals with Gallifreyan? Do we?"

"Like, he, er I. He said. We don't know." Thirteen snapped. "Now why are we here? Kate?"

"KATE STEWART!" Ten spun on his heel as if realising the blonde woman was actually there. "Hello!"

"Hello." Kate smiled as she remembered one of the more hyperactive incarnations of her friend. "Now, can we get on?"

"Yes." Thirteen glanced at Yaz who still seemed to be in shock. "You said there was a problem?"

"Sontarians."

"Again?" Kate nodded as Dan joined the room.

"Yeah, again." He hugged Thirteen. "Alright? Doc? Who's this fella?" He nodded at Ten who raised an eyebrow.

"Me. Er very long story." She sighed. Dan shrugged.

"Ok, so Sontarians. Not seen them since the Crimean War. Remember, Yaz? When we met Mary Seacole."

"Yeah." Yaz nodded, her eyes brimming with tears as Ian sat down heavily on the chair near the desk. "Evil giant talking potato like things."

"Killing machines." Ace shuddered.

"You met them before?" Graham asked Ace. She nodded once.

"Not a good memory. Trust me, you do not want to know."

"I do."

"Story for another time." She smiled slightly as both Dan and Yaz smirked. Thirteen followed Kate so she was stood next to her.

"Look, I don't know what's going on. Not yet. But I do know I shouldn't be here. Neither should he. I was him in a past regeneration. I should have regenerated. I thought I had but then suddenly there were two of us. Same memory, same feelings, same past but both together now. Like some kind of anomaly."

"Or a twin." Kate folded her arms. "You could just be twins. Do they have them on Gallifry?"

"Never been known." She sighed. "But then Tecturn did so many experiments on me as a baby and young child that anything is possible. Then there was the Flux." She sighed. Kate shrugged.

"I'm just hoping two Doctors are better than one."

"Me too." Thirteen smiled. "Me too."

Earth looked pathetically small as the ship circled the planet. It was the third away from the Sun in what was apparently a pathetic Solar System. Nothing like the mighty Sontar. Commander Stor turned away, disgusted at what he saw.

"You remember." Stor glared at his fellow Sontarian.

"The Sontarn Empire will reign supreme."

"They say it is protected."

"It was." Stor nodded. "From Daleks, from Cybermen, from Adipose and Slitheen but we are here now. These primitive species do not stand a chance."
