"Eh?" Graham looked at Ten as Ace turned away blushing as she tried to ignore what had just been said. She wasn't one to wear her heart on her sleeve but she knew she had dropped her guard where the former bus driver was concerned.
"You and Ace." Ten nodded towards her. "It's obvious you like each other."
"Excuse me."
"Graham!" Yaz raised her eyebrows as she nodded towards Ace who was clearly avoiding eye contact with everyone in the room. Graham turned to see the door close as Ace left the room.
"Oh great. Just great."

Thirteen looked around the room she found herself in. It was definitely colder than the inside of the TARDIS. The idea that she was just a few feet away from the Sontaran command made her skin crawl. She was glad she had left the others back on Earth but she part of her wished she had the back up of her Fam. She had loved travelling with all her companions, for very different reasons but it did break her hearts to know they had each left her. Swallowing hard she forced herself to focus on the matter at hand. Someone had to find out what the Sontarans were planning. Closing her eyes for a moment she stepped forwards, just hoping that she was going to be able to get back to Earth.

"Go after her." Yaz hissed as Tegan nodded.
"Yes, go on." Kate folded her arms as she looked at the computerised board in front of her. "I need everyone on the ball with this. I swear its like having teenagers working here. You like her, she clearly likes you although I fail to see why the way you are behaving."
"Thanks." Graham huffed.
"So, go. Sort out whatever it is that is between you." Kate stated as turned around. Graham huffed before marching out of the room in order to find his friend. He had no idea how to sort out what had happened. He wasn't even sure he really knew what he had done to upset her.

Ace shoved her hands in her pockets as she walked along the corridor with no real idea where she was going. She knew the Professor had only ever said what others had been afraid to say. She just had no idea what Graham really felt for her. As far as she could see, he was still in love with Grace. She knew there was no way she was going to be able to compete with the deceased woman. She knew there was no way she was going to replace her. Resting her hands on the rail at the edge of the staircase she fought the urge to cry.
"Ace?"
She closed her eyes, cursing under her breath. "Hiya." She paused.
"You ok?"
"Of course I am." She kept her eyes on the floor at the bottom of the staircase. Graham came to stand next to her.
"Good."
"You?" Ace looked away.
"Yeah. I'm fine." He sighed. "Look."
"Its ok. I over reacted. The Professor has a knack of saying whatever is in his mind. Doesn't matter what regeneration it is. They are always direct. No beating around the bush." She smirked as Graham nodded. She turned slightly to see him watching her. "What?"
"You didn't over react. Tact never was the Doc's strong point."
"True." Ace smirked. Before they could say anything Graham reached up, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "I."
"Can I?" He whispered as she stepped a little closer to her. Ace nodded slightly just before Graham brushed his lips against hers.
