The Tardis materialised just as Kate was about to question the viability of the Sontarans literally choking the life out of the planet. They had tried before, but the Doctor along with Martha, Donna and UNIT had stopped them. Now it seemed as if it had just been a delay rather than actually stopping them.

"Hiya! What I miss? I've missed something, haven't I?" Thirteen pulled her sleeves down as she spoke. Ten nodded.

"The Sonrarans are trying to choke the planet. Remove all the Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere."

"Oh so, no I didn't miss much. I was going to tell you that." She smirked as Ten rocked back on his heels.

"Really?"

"Yeah. Its the Sontaran equivalent of a fire blanket. At first glance humans will ignore it. Think its Global Warming but this, this is so much faster." She began gesturing , "So much faster." She glanced at Graham and then Ace. "Dunno, still get the feeling I'm missing something." Graham blushed as Tegan and Dan smirked. Ian shook his head.

"Can we just focus, please?" Kate snapped as Graham's phone buzzed in his jacket.

"Sorry, it's Ryan. He might have news." Kate nodded as Graham stepped out into the corridor to take the call. "Ello son, you ok?" He closed the door behind him as Tegan sat next to Ace.

"He's a good man."

"Yes, he is." Ace sighed, knowing what her friend was about to say. She knew her friend meant well but in that moment she wished for some Nitro 9 just to get the woman off her back.

"You like him a lot."

"Can we do as Kate asks and focus. Why do I never have my baseball bat with me these days?"

"Because you're not 16 anymore." Tegan chuckled. "I lost Nyssa because I was too stupid and cared too much about what others may have thought. If its Mike and what happened to him holding you back then tell Graham. I know he is a widow. He'll understand. And Mike was a good man. A kind man. You think he wouldn't want you to be happy?"

Ace nodded, her eyes filled with tears as she made herself focus on what Kate and the Doctor were discussing. Sighing she had a feeling that Tegan was not going to let the topic slide.

Graham paced the corridor as he listened to his grandson. He missed the young lad but knew he had been working and having the adventure of a lifetime with his team in Peru. Now he was headed back to London, via Cardiff with Donna and Martha. Listening to him explain what had been found worried him even more.

"You ok, Gramps?"

"Never better, son."

"Really? Because who is this Ace?"

"What?" He paused.

"Martha told me. She sounds cool."

"She is." Graham sighed. "You found something over there?"

"Er, yeah right. I did yeah. Ianto and Jack are having it run through Torchwood databases but Martha said UNIT need to see it too. I think we are gonna have to work with Torchwood three on this. Its big Gramps. I mean I know we've seen big before but this. This."

"I know, Ryan. Look, just get back 'ere with the girls yeah." He paused, relieved his grandson was safe. "Just get here. I'll tell the others what you told me. Send any files or whatnot to Kate ok? Great. See you in a bit." He ended the call before heading back into the main office wondering just what Martha had told Ryan about him and Ace.
