The plane lands in the air force base. Pepper is standing there with Happy right behind her. Inside the plane, Tony is now wearing a suit and is sitting in a wheelchair.
"Okay but like... where did you get the suit from?" Peter asked.
Rhodey helps him get up and tells him to be careful on the ramp.
Then two people come into the frame with gurney Tony asks if they're kidding with him and asks to get rid of them.
"And so the refusal of medical treatment starts." Natasha said.
Pepper looks over at him with a smile on her face. Tony walks up to her and says that her eyes are red and asks if she shed tears her long lost boss.
Pepper says that they're tears of joy and that she hates job hunting.
"Just kiss already." Shuri whispers. T'Challa glares at her with a look that says 'now is not the time.'
Tony says that her vacations over.
"Bold of you to assume it was like a vacation." Pepper said. "Even when you're not around, you still manage to stress me out."
"Its a part of his charm." Rhodey said.
He, Pepper and Happy all get into a car. Happy asks where he's taking them.
Pepper asks him to take them to the hospital.
Tony denies the request.
"Bruh." Ned said. "You can't just not-"
"I mean I guess it makes sense, given what's in your chest now." Bruce said. "But you still should receive medical treatment."
Pepper tells Tony that he needs to.
Tony says that no is his complete answer.
"At least now I understand why." Pepper said.
Pepper says that a doctor needs to have a look at him.
"Listen to her." Strange said.
Tony says that he doesn't have to do anything and tells Pepper that he's been in captivity for three months and that there are two things that he wants to do one of them is that he wants an American cheeseburger and the other is-
"Really?" Natasha asked.
Pepper says that he's said enough.
Tony says that its not what she thinks and tells her that he wants to call for a press conference.
Pepper asks what for.
"About that-" Tony said.
"That little stunt you pulled really shocked the whole world." Fury said.
"Yeah well, it needed to be said and I'm nothing if not dramatic."
"You can say that again. Coulson sighed.
"I'm nothing if not dramatic." Tony repeated.
Tony tells Happy to drive and to get the cheeseburger first.
"What is it with you and eating after a traumatic experience?" Fury, of all people, asked.
"I honestly don't know." Tony said.
Happy pulls into a parking lot. Obadiah is waiting outside of the building, he greets Tony as he gets out of the car then he hugs him.
Rhodey, pepper, Tony and Coulson all glare at him.
Obadiah tells Tony that they were supposed to meet at the hospital. Happy comes up around the back of the car with a paper bag in his hands.
Tony tells Obadiah that he's fine.
Obadiah makes a comment about Tony stopping for a burger, then asks if they got him one.
"The first good food you've had in three months and he was trying to take it?" Strange asked. "Asshole."
Tony, and Obadiah are seen walking through the hallway to be met with a large group of reporters.
"Oh! is this that press conference?" Natasha asked. Though she probably already knew the answer.
"Yes it is that press conference agent Romanoff." Tony replied.
Some people were confused, namely the guardians.
Tony walks up to the podium. Pepper stares at him. Agent Coulson appears beside her.
"Phil!" All of the avengers and Pepper yell except Tony who yells "Agent!"
Coulson asks Pepper if he could speak with her for a moment.
Pepper tells him that she isn't a part of the press conference but it is about to start.
"You thought he was a reporter? That's hilarious." Clint said, giggling.
Coulson tells her that he isn't a reporter and then introduces himself, saying that he's from the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division.
Pepper tells him that thats quite a mouthful.
Coulson says that he knows and they're working on it.
"Sounds like someone really wanted to spell out shield." Quill said.
Pepper tells him that they've been approached by the DOD, FBI and the CIA.
"Whoa."
Coulson says that they're a separate decision that has a more specific focus, and that he needs to debrief Tony on the circumstances of his escape.
Pepper says that she'll put something in the books.
Coulson thanks her.
"That was quite the meeting." Pepper said to herself.
Obadiah is standing in front of the podium and Tony is sitting down in front of it. Tony asks if everyone could sit down so it would be a little less formal. The reporters hesitantly sit.
"Wow, I'm impressed. You actually managed to get everyone to listen." Steve said.
"Takes practice but it's real easy to command a room when you know what you're doing." Tony said.
Rhodey asks what's up with the love-in.
Pepper says not to ask her because she doesn't know either.
Tony looks at Obadiah and says that its good to see him. Obadiah says the same about Tony.
"More like shocked to see me.. you backstabbing son of a bitch." Tony remarked.
Tony tells Obadiah that he never got to say goodbye to Howard. He turns to face the audience and repeats himself.
Steve frowned. "You didn't even get a chance to say goodbye?"
"No and some little part of me has regretted it ever since." Tony said. He didn't like Howard all that much but he regretted not getting at least some closure with the man before the accident.
Others looked confused, 'why would you lead a speech with that?'
Tony says that there are questions that he would have asked, he says he would have asked how Howard felt about what the company did and of he was conflicted or if he had doubts. Then says that maybe Howard was every inch of the man everyone remembers from the newsreels.
"I guess we'll never know." Tony said. "It always felt like he was putting on some sort of public persona... even when he was home."
Tony says that he saw young Americans killed by the weapons he had created to protect them and says that he saw that he had become a part of a system that if comfortable with taking zero accountability.
"Not anymore."
A reporter raises his hand to ask a question, Tony greets him.
The reporter asks what happened where Tony was held captive.
"Quite a bit." Bruce said.
Tony stands up. The reporters stay seated. Tony says that he had his eyes opened and says that he has come to realize that he has more to offer the world than making things that blow up and finishes by saying that he is shutting down weapons manufacturing of Stark International.
Wanda smiled a little. It may have come later than it should have but at least he recognized the harm he was doing now. Its better late than never. Yes, a part of her is still bitter but, holding a grudge won't bring them back, it'll only consume her from the inside until there's nothing left but resentment.
As he says this the reporters stand up and Obadiah tries to push him away from the microphone.
"Trying to save his job." Fury muttered. Tony just glared at the screen.
Tony says that he shutting it down until he can decide what the future of the company will be and says that it will be one that he's comfortable with and one that is for the good of the country. He leaves.
"And that's how you got into the clean energy business?" Scott asked.
"I mean pretty much, the miniaturized arc reactor has a huge variety of uses." Tony said.
Obadiah tells the audience that what they should take away from this is that Tony is back and he's healthy and then he says that they're going to have a talk and they'll get back to the audience with the follow up.
"I wouldn't say that he was healthier than ever..." Bruce said.
Obadiah is seen riding a Segway and smoking a cigar, Happy is standing in front of a car, smoking. Obadiah asks Happy where Tony is.
Happy says that he's inside. He takes the Segway.
Obadiah walks into the building, which is the building where the arc reactor is. Obadiah sarcastically comments that the press conference went well.
"What is that?" Steve asked.
"That is the arc reactor that powered the factory." Tony said.
"But its huge, how did you shrink it" Drax questioned.
"Math."
Tony asks if he just painted a target on the back of his head.
Obadiah asks about his own head and asks Tony what he thinks the over-under stock drop will be tomorrow.
Tony says that optimistically he thinks it would be forty points.
"Definitely optimistic." Maria said.
Obadiah says that thats at minimum.
Tony agrees.
Obadiah tells Tony that they're a weapons manufacturer.
Tony tells him that he doesn't want a body count to be their only legacy.
That line struck a chord with certain people in the audience. (Bucky, Clint, Natasha, Gamora, Nebula.) There was so much blood on their hands, sometimes it felt like it would never go away.
Obadiah tells him that that's what they do and that they're iron mongers and they make weapons.
Tony says that its his name on the side of the building.
Obadiah tells him that what they do keeps the world from descending into chaos.
"Actually... it makes more chaos." Peter mumbled. "But whatever."
Tony says that that isn't based on what he say and that they aren't doing a good enough job and that they can do better and they're gonna do something else.
Wanda stared at him for a minute, trying to read him.
Obadiah asks if they're going to make baby bottles.
"Why is that the first thing that comes to mind?" Clint asked.
"Probably because its almost the exact opposite of weapons." Ned said. A few people gave him funny looks. "Think about it, weapons are destructive, babies are generally completely harmless.
"Have you ever met a baby?" Clint asked.
"Terrors." Scott agreed.
"I don't know, Peter wasn't bad as a baby. Or at least not when I visited. His parents would probably said otherwise." May said.
Tony says that he thinks they should look into the arc reactor technology.
Obadiah says that the arc reactor was a publicity stunt and that they only built it to shut the hippies up.
"Okay maybe that's true but it doesn't mean that it doesn't work." Tony said. "Or that it can't work or be modified."
Tony says that it works.
Obadiah says that its a science project and that it isn't cost effective, then says that arc reactor technology is a dead end and they haven't had a breakthrough with it in thirty years.
Tony stares at him for a while, Obadiah is glancing at Tony's chest.
"That man has a very bad poker face." Natasha said.
"Lady Gaga would be disappointed." Ned said.
Tony asks if he could have a lousier poker face and asks Obadiah to tell him who told him about the arc reactor in his chest.
Obadiah brushes off the question and tells Tony to show it to him.
"Why does he want to see it so bad?" Bruce asked.
"Something about him makes me very uncomfortable." MJ said.
Tony says that it was either Rhodey or Pepper who told him.
Obadiah says that he wants to see it.
Tony decides that it was Rhodey who told him.
"Just to clarify. Which one of you was it?" Tony asked, looking back at the two.
"I'm sorry Tony." Rhodey said.
Tony turned away from him. "Okay."
Tony takes his sling off and un-does the top buttons of his shirt, exposing the arc reactor in his chest. Obadiah looks around the room, then buttons Tony's shirt back up. Tony says that it works.
"Oof, that's a lot of scaring." Peter winced.
Obadiah tells Tony to listen to him and says that there's nothing that they can't do if they work together and tries to talk about Howard but Tony cuts him off.
Tony apologizes for not giving him a heads up, and says that if he had then...
"He would have tried to talk you out of it." Gamora said.
Obadiah tells Tony no more of the ready fire aim business.
Tony makes a comment about that being Howard's line.
Obadiah tells Tony to let him handle this and that they're going to play a different kind of ball and that they're going to take a lot of heat and asks Tony to promise him to lay low.
"Stark? Lay low? Yeah right!" Clint shouted.
"Hey I think I did alright Legolas, y'know considering."
Pepper is shown watching a TV show with a very annoying host.
"Why are you watching that god awful TV show?" Maria asked her.
"I had to watch the reactions to the press conference." Pepper said.
"I don't understand, what is wrong with the show?" Thor questioned.
"You'll see." Natasha told him.
The host says he has a recommendation for Stark Industries before saying sell sell sell and yelling abandon ship then asks if the Hindenburg rung any bells.
"That's not funny." Steve said.
"And 'jokes' like that are why it's a terrible show." MJ said. "Same reason why FOX news is terrible to watch, bad jokes and misinformation."
The host says to let him show them the new Stark Industries plan and comments that its a weapons company that doesn't make weapons. Pepper cringes at the TV.
"You act like big companies have never changed directions before." Tony said.
Tony's voice comes over the intercom, he asks Pepper how big her hands are.
"Um."
Pepper says " what?" Tony repeats the question.
Pepper says she doesn't understand and asks why he needs to know.
Tony tells her to come down to the lab.
"Dude, she's your assistant." Quill said. Pepper tried to look angry and Tony was laughing.
Pepper walks down the stairs and sees Tony who is lying on a chair shirtless with electrodes attached to his chest. There's another arc reactor in his hand.
"Please tell me you're not doing what I think you're doing." Strange said.
Pepper just sighed.
"Oh dear lord." Bruce grumbled.
Pepper walks over to him. Tony asks to see her hands. Pepper holds up her hands. Tony says that they are very small and petite and tells her he needs her help.
"Just to be clear. I meant it when I said I am never doing tat for you ever again." Pepper said, grimacing as she remembered how gross it was.
Pepper notices the arc reactor and asks if its the thing keeping him alive.
Tony says it was and that its now an antique, he tells her he's swapping it out for an upgrade but he ran into a speed bump.
Pepper asks what he means by that.
Tony says its nothing, just a snag. Then he removes the reactor from his chest.
"I'm 100% sure that its not 'nothing.'" Bruce said.
He tells her that there's an exposed wire underneath it and its contacting the socket wall and its causing a short. He hands the old reactor to Pepper.
Pepper asks what he wants her to do.
He tells her to put the old reactor on the table because its irrelevant. Pepper puts it on the table.
"Well not completely irrelevant, I guess." Tony said, thankful that Pepper had the sense to keep it... even if it probably wasn't for the reasons she intended.
Tony tells her that he wants her to reach into his chest and lift the wire out.
Pepper asks if its safe.
"NO!" Strange and Bruce yell.
Tony says that it should be fine, then compares it to Operation and tells her not to let it touch the socket wall or it goes 'beep.'
"You did not just compare a life threatening operation to a children's game." Strange said exasperated.
"He does it all the time." Rhodey sighed
Pepper asks what he means by Operation.
"How do you not know what operation is?" Scott asked.
"Is that what you're focusing on right now?" Steve asked.
Tony says that its just a game. Pepper puts her hand into Tony's chest. Tony tells her to gently lift the wire out.
Pepper pulls her hand away and tells him that she doesn't think she's qualified to do this.
"Well I don't trust anyone else." Tony said.
"I'm... flattered." Pepper said.
Tony tells her that she's fine and that she's the most capable and qualified person to do this and says that she's gonna do great, telling her to trust him.
"You know something's wrong when Tony tells you to trust him." Bruce said.
Tony then asks if its too much of a problem.
Pepper says its okay.
Tony says he really needs her help.
Pepper slowly reaches her hand back into Tony's chest. She says that there's pus.
"There's pus!?" Bruce yelled.
"It's not pus." Tony yelled back.
"Then what is it?" Bruce asked.
Tony says that its not pus, its inorganic plasmic discharge thats coming from the device and not his body.
"What he said." Tony said and pointed at his onscreen counterpart.
Pepper says that it smells.
Tony agrees and asks of she has the wire.
"Never as me to do anything like that again." Pepper warned.
Pepper says that she has it.
Tony tells her not to let it touch the sides when she coming out. Pepper accidently touches the sides, then apologizes.
"Oh my god." May grimaced.
Tony says that thats what he was trying to tell her before, and then tells her to make sure she doesn't- *Pepper pulls out the wire and the magnet attached to it*- Tony says that there was a magnet at the end of the wire and that Pepper just pulled it out.
"That doesn't sound... good." Quill said.
"Well it's- it's not." Tony replied.
Pepper panics. Tony says that he wasn't expecting it and tells her not to put it back in.
Pepper asks what to do and what's wrong.
Tony says that its nothing and he's just going into cardiac arrest.
"You said it was safe." Drax yelled.
"Whenever Stark says something's safe, it usually means it isn't." Natasha supplied.
"Well then why would he say that it was safe?" Drax questioned.
Just as Natasha went to explain Rocket piped up. "Don't bother he won't understand."
Tony tells her its because she yanked the magnet out like a trout lure.
Pepper tells him that he said this was safe.
"I've learned my lesson now." Pepper said.
Tony gives pepper the replacement arc reactor and tells her they have to hurry.
Pepper tells him that its going to be okay.
Tony asks if it is.
"Um... I hope so." Rhodey said, panicked.
Pepper tells him that it'll be okay and that she'll make this okay.
Pepper goes to put the arc reactor in. Tony tells her that she's gonna attach it to the base plate. She does it and Tony yells in pain.
"You are insane." Pepper said.
Tony then asks if it was that hard then says it was fun.
"And now you're fine." Rhodey said, fondly.
Pepper asks if he's okay.
Tony says that he feels great and asks if she's okay.
Pepper says to never make her do something like that again.
Tony says he has no one but her.
"OTP." Shuri whispered.
"OTP." The rest of the teenagers started chanting.
Tony stands up. Pepper asks him what he wants her to do with the old arc reactor.
Tony tells her to destroy it and incinerate it.
"Thank God you didn't." Tony whispered so only Pepper could hear.
"Right." She whispered back.
"Why are we whispering?" Rhodey whispered from behind them.
Pepper asks why he doesn't want to keep it.
Tony says that he's been called a lot of things but 'nostalgic' isn't one of them.
Natasha and Loki found that they could relate. Sometimes it was better to just... forget the past. There was nothing there for them anyway so why waste time dwelling?
Pepper asks if that would be all.
Tony says that that will be all.
Pepper walks away. Tony watches her go then turns to his desk. He asks Butterfingers what all of the stuff on his desk is there for, noting his phone and a picture of him and Howard then he tells him to throw it all away.
"Why do you want to throw it away?" Ned asked.
"I have reasons." Tony answered.
The scene shows Rhodey talking to a group of soldiers. He asks if the future of air combat is manned or un-manned. Then says that in his experience no un-manned aerial vehicle will trump a pilots instinct, insight, judgement or the ability to look into a situation beyond what's obvious and discern an outcome.
"He's absolutely correct. A computer may seem very human but it doesn't have those same characteristics that will get you and others out of danger." Clint agreed.
Then Tony walks in and asks why not the pilot without the plane and then he shakes a soldiers hand.
"I- what?" Scott asked. "I don't get it."
Rhodey says to look who fell out of the sky, then he introduces Tony.
"Oh how right you are." Tony said.
"Yeah, you've made a habit of it. I'm honestly surprised that you haven't managed to get yourself killed with the stunts you pull." Rhodey replied.
Tony says speaking of manned or un-manned Rhodey should tell them about the time that he guessed wrong at spring break.
"Guessed wrong?" Mantis asked.
Tony says to remember spring break 1987 and reminds Rhodey of the 'lovely lady' he woke up with then asks what his name was.
Rhodey sighed.
"So she was trans... or like a drag queen or something?" Peter asked, confused as to why that seemed to matter so much.
Rhodey tells him not to do that.
Tony asks if it was Ivan.
Rhodey tells him not to do that because the soldiers would believe it.
"Did that actually happen though?" Quill asked.
Tony nodded. Rhodey just shrugged, he had gotten too drunk to even remember that night so it didn't really matter to him- at least not anymore.
Tony tells the soldiers it was a pleasure meeting them.
Rhodey tells the soldiers to give them a couple minutes and turns to Tony and says he didn't expect him to be walking around so soon.
Tony says that he's doing a little better than walking.
"Injuring yourself further." Pepper said.
Tony tells him that he's working on something big and he came to talk to him because he wants him to be a part of it.
Rhodey says that he's about to make a lot of people happy because what he pulled at the press conference was a 'doozy'.
"You didn't support it?" Steve asked.
"It's not that I didn't support it, it's- I'm a military man and Tony and I guess Howard have been supplying the military with weapons for decades so I was sort of left wondering 'Well, what happens to us now?' That and I was kind of worried about him." Rhodey replied.
Tony says that this isn't for the military and that its different.
Rhodey asks if he's an humanitarian.
Tony says that he needs Rhodey to listen to him.
"Why are you shooting him down?" Clint asked.
"I was worried that he wasn't in his right mind." Rhodey said.
Rhodey says that what he needs is to get his mind right and that it was nice to see him.
Tony thanks him and Rhodey leaves.
"Just to make something clear, I thought he wasn't being serious at the press conference. I thought it was just a spur the moment thing that resulted from Post traumatic stress." Rhodey explained. Then looked over at Tony. "Which everyone thought by the way."
Tony is in his lab typing on a weird keyboard. He asks JARVIS if he's up.
JARVIS says he always is and calls Tony 'Sir.'
"I've been meaning to ask, why does Jarvis call you sir?" Shuri asked.
"I couldn't tell you, manners maybe." Tony responded.
Pictures of the mark 1 Iron Man armor appear on the screens. Tony drags it to a table where it appears as a hologram. He says he'd like for JARVIS to open a new file, index as Mark two.
JARVIS asks if he should store it on the Stark Industries central database.
"No. definitely not." Pepper said. "Bad idea, bad idea."
Tony gets up and walks over to the table. Tony says he doesn't know who to trust so they should keep everything on his private server.
"Good idea, good idea." Pepper continued.
JARVIS asks if he's working on a secret project. Tony takes some things out of the armor and puts them in a holographic trash can.
Tony says that he doesn't want what he's working on to end up in the wrong hands and that maybe it could do some good in his.
"It has actually winded up in the wrong hands a few times." Pepper sighed.
"Who's?" Steve asked.
"I'm sure one of these movies we're being forced to watch will tell you." Tony said.
People are in a desert and they are digging. One guy holds up the face plate. They start speaking in a foreign language. Raza appears on screen with a large burn mark on the side of his face. The man who found the mask brings it to Raza.
"This is not going to end well." Bruce muttered.
"No it is not." Tony said.
Tony is working on a boot. Dummy is assisting him. Tony tells Dummy next then not in the boot then tells him right there and tells him to stay put, then that he's no benefit at all and tells him to move down to the toe and that he's got this.
"If he's not being a help then why is he helping?" Ned asked.
"He wanted to." Tony said.
Then he asks Dummy if he's in his way then tells him not to move before calling him a tragedy.
"Why are you so mean to it." Steve asked.
"It is a he, Rogers and I'm not, its just tough love." Tony said.
"He?" Steve asked himself.
Tony is standing in the middle of his lab wearing the boots with hand controls in his hands, dummy is behind him, U is behind the camera, recording. Tony tells his bots to do this right and to start mark, half a meter and back center. He tells Dummy to look alive because he's on fire safety, then tells 'You' to roll it.
"You named your robots Dummy and You?" Bruce asked.
"And Butterfingers." Tony added.
"Why?"
"Why not?" Tony shrugged. "They needed names."
He says he's activating hand controls and that they're going to start off easy with 10% thrust capacity.
"This is not going to end well." Shuri groaned. He is going to get himself hurt and it will be hilarious.
He counts down from three. Tony shoots himself into the back wall of his lab, falls down and dummy sprays him with the fire extinguisher.
The whole room, even Fury, burst out laughing.
"So that's what happens when you're in your lab for days on end." Pepper smirked.
"And that is why no one else is allowed in." Tony added. "Safety hazard."
Tony is at his computer and working on blueprints for hand flight stabilizers. He puts his hand in the hologram.
He now has a physical one, he closes it around his arm. Pepper walks down the stairs with a box and coffee in hand. She walks over to him and says that she's been buzzing him and asks if he heard the intercom.
"Probably not." Natasha said.
"Yeah he tends to tune everything out when he's in 'work mode'." Rhodey said.
Pepper sets the box and coffee down and tells him that Obadiah's upstairs. Tony says that's great.
"Not great." Tony said.
Pepper asks what he would like her to tell him.
Tony says he'll be right up and lifts his arm off the table.
Pepper says she thought he was done making weapons, when she sees what he's working on.
"Not technically a weapon, although it can be used as one." Tony said.
Tony says that its a flight stabilizer and that its completely harmless.
"I'm not sure its completely harmless." Steve said.
Tony activates it and sends himself flying backwards. He says that he didn't expect that.
"You seem to injure yourself a lot." Strange said.
"I can assure you I don't injure myself on purpose." Tony said. Pepper glared at him. "Most of the time." He finished.
Tony walks up the stairs. Pepper is sitting on the couch. Obadiah is playing the piano. Tony asks how it went, then he sees the pizza on the coffee table and decides that it went bad.
"Why is pizza a bad thing?" Peter asked.
"Uh, Obadiah would always bring back food to like soften the blow, pretty much comfort food." Tony answered.
Obadiah says that just because he brought back pizza from New York doesn't mean that it went bad.
"Yes it does." Pepper said. Obadiah bringing back food after bad meetings was something she picked up on pretty quickly after she started working for Tony.
Tony grabs a piece and says 'sure it doesn't'.
Obadiah says that it would have gone better of Tony was there. Then he stands up from the piano bench.
"Didn't you tell him that he should stay home?" Scott asked.
"He wants me to do what benefits him best, not what benefits me or even the company for that matter." Tony said.
Tony takes a bite of his pizza. Tony reminds Obadiah that he told him to lay low.
Obadiah walks over to the couch. Obadiah says that he meant in public and tells Tony that this was a board of directors meeting, much to Tony's shock.
"I'm guessing he didn't tell you that." Clint said.
"Nope, because he knows I would have actually gone if he did and things would not have worked out so well for him." Tony explained.
Obadiah says that the board is claiming post- traumatic stress and that they're filing an injunction.
Tony asks for clarification.
Obadiah says that they want to lock him out.
"More like you wanted to lock me out!" Tony yelled.
"I don't understand what did he do?" Steve asked.
"You'll find out." Tony said.
Tony asks if it was because the stocks dipped by forty points, but that they knew that would happen.
Pepper says it was actually fifty-six and a half.
"No offence, but I really don't think that's helping." Natasha said.
"Well if they're gonna argue they should have correct information." Pepper defended.
Tony says that it doesn't matter because they own the controlling interest in the company.
Obadiah says that the board has rights too, and that they're making a case that his new direction isn't what's in the company's best interest.
"Well they're right, but they're also very very wrong." Rhodey said.
Tony says that he's being responsible and that's a new direction for him, he backtracks and says the company then says he meant him on behalf of the company. Then gets up to leave, with the pizza box.
"This is going well." Ned said.
Obadiah chases after him. Tony says he'll be in the shop.
Obadiah says that he's trying to turn this around and that Tony needs to give him something to pitch and tells him to let him have the engineers analyze the arc reactor and draw up some specs.
"Absolutely not." Shuri said.
"That is a terrible idea." Scott added.
Tony says no.
Obadiah says it'll give him a bone to throw to the boys in New York.
Tony says that this one stays with him and tells Obadiah to forget it.
Obadiah takes the pizza and says that it stays with him.
"That's a little immature." Gamora said.
"He's not a very mature person." Pepper said. "I have witnessed him have what could only be described as a temper tantrum after stocks dipped a few points for like a week."
Obadiah tells Tony to take a couple pieces.
"Oh how considerate." Clint said, sarcastically.
Tony thanks him and goes down stairs.
Obadiah asks if he can come see what Tony's working on.
Tony bids him goodnight.
"Is it just me or does that man make everyone else a little uneasy?" Maria asked.
"It is not just you." T'Challa said.
