Jane asks if that's how Thor normally looks

Thor says it is.

Jane tells him that it's a good look.

Thor says that they need to go to the bifrost site and he has to have words with Loki.

Coulson walks up to them and says Thor hasn't been honest with him.

Thor calls him son of coul.

"You called him son of coul?" Clint asked.

"I did not know how Midgardian surnames worked." Thor said.

"Actually, in some countries people did use the name of their father then son/dottir for surnames for many years, but it was stopped after a while." Tony said.

"Why do you know that?" Pepper asked.

Thor says that both him and coulson are fighting for Earth's protection and that he is their ally. He then asks if they could return the items they took from Jane.

Jane says that they were stolen.

Coulson says that they were borrowed.

"Borrowed? Without asking and with no sign of returning?" Shuri asked. "Sounds like stolen to me."

Coulson says that she can have her equipment back to continue her research.

Thor asks if she wants to see the bridge he told her about.

Jane says that she does. Thor starts to fly off.

Coulson says that they still need to debrief them.

"Poor Coulson." Clint said.

Loki is shown in the observatory. A group of Jotuns enter. Loki welcomes them to Asgard.

"Welcome to your doom." Thor growled, knowing Loki's plan was to kill them.

Loki leads him across the bridge, the ice around Heimdall starts cracking.

Thor and his friends drive to the bifrost site.

Thor asks Heimdall to open the bifrost and gets confused when he doesn't answer.

Hogun says that they're stranded.

Thor calls out to Heimdall once more. The ice around Heimdall finally breaks.

"Yay!"

Heimdall stabs the two Jotuns that remained.

The bifrost finally opens. Sif and the warriors three run toward it. Thor tells Jane he needs to go t Asgard but he'll return to her.

Thor says and Kisses Jane's hand.

"Have you seen her... since all this happened?" Bruce asked.

Thor froze. "I have not." He realized.

"She's gonna be pissed when you finally do." Natasha said, knowing that Jane knew he was on Earth during New York.

They says they have a deal and they kiss.

"Aw." Everyone said.

The bifrost takes Thor and his friends back to Asgard.

Thor sees Heimdall on the floor and tells them to get him to the healing room and to leave Loki to him.

The doors of the room Odin is in start freezing. Frigga picks up a sword. The doors open, Laufey steps through and knocks Frigga out of the way. Laufey forces Odin's eye open.

Laufey says that it is said that Odin can hear and see what's happening around him and says he hopes Odin knows that his death came at the hands of Laufey and tries to stab Odin.

Loki shoots Laufey with the spear and says that his death came by the son of Odin.

"Okay... what?" Rhodey asked.

"My real plan... I was going to kill all of the frost giants." Loki answered.

Loki kills him. Frigga says that he saved Odin and hugs him.

"He was the one who put him in danger in the first place!" Clint shouted.

Loki says that the Jotuns will pay for what they did.

"So you're literally doing exactly what you wanted Thor to do to prove to Odin that he was unfit to be king... " Tony said.

Thor enters. Frigga tells him that she knew he'd return and hugs him.

Thor asks Loki to tell Frigga that he sent the destroyer to Earth to kill him and his friends.

Loki says that the destroyer was enforcing Odin's last command.

Thor says that Loki was always a talented liar.

Loki says that its good to have Thor back and says that he has to go destroy Jotunheim and then blasts Thor with the spear and Thor falls out of the building.

Everyone sent death glares to Loki.

Loki opens the bifrost and it hits Jotunheim. Thor appears at the observatory. Loki tells him that he cant stop it and says that the bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheim apart.

"And what happens after?" Bruce asked.

Thor asks him why he's doing this.

Loki says he's trying to prove to Odin that he's the worthy son.

"So you did all of this just to get Odin to notice you?" Bruce asked.

"You try living in his *He pointed at Thor* shadow your entire life, you'll do anything to get him to be proud of you." Loki answered. Nebula found that she related, she spend her whole life trying to be better than Gamora, only to realize that their father would only ever care for her.

"Is it just me or could this have been prevented if your father actually told you from the beginning what you were?" Wanda asked.

"It could also be solved if Asgard had therapists." Tony added.

Loki says that when Odin awakens he'll have saved his life and destroyed the monsters and he'll be the true heir.

Thor tells him that he can't kill an entire race.

Loki asks why he can't.

"Because that's genocide!"

Loki asks Thor about his love for the frost giants and says that he would've killed all of them with his bear hands.

Thor says that he's changed.

Loki says he has too and tells Thor to fight him. He knocks Thor off his feet and says that he never wanted the throne.

"Sounds like a load of bullshit to me, especially after what you did to Earth." Fury said.

"You don't know everything about what happened in New York, Director." Loraine said. Fury looked confused.

Loki tells Thor that he only wanted to be his equal.

"But that all changed because I found out I never would be." Loki said.

"Loki... I always thought of you as my equal." Thor said.

"No.. you didn't, you may think that now, but you most certainly didn't in the past."

Thor tells Loki that he won't fight him and calls him brother.

Loki says that he was never Thor's brother.

Thor tells him that its madness.

Loki asks if it is madness

"I think so" Tony said.

Loki asks what happened on Earth that turned him soft. He asks if it was Jane and says that when they're done he'll pay her a visit.

"You. Stay far away. From Jane." Thor warned.

They charge toward each other and start fighting. Loki hits him with the spear, Thor knocks Loki down and tries to hit him with Mjolnir, Loki uses the spear to block it, then kicks him in the chest. They start hitting each other, Loki knocks Thor onto the floor, and tries to stab him with the spear, Thor moves out of the way and the spear gets stuck in the ground. Loki swings around on the spear and kicks Thor in the chest.

"Pole dancing moment." Shuri said.

He pulls the spear out of the ground and they start hitting each other. Thor throws Loki across the room. Thor starts to attack, they fly through the walls of the observatory onto the bridge. Loki starts to fall.

Loki begs Thor to help him

Thor bends down to get him, but it is revealed to be an illusion. The real Loki appears behind him. He knocks Thor onto the ground and a large group of Loki's appear.

"My worst nightmare, more than one of you." Valkyrie said. Loki glared at her. Thor snorted.

Thor summons lightning to get rid of the illusions. Loki falls onto his back. Thor walks over to him and sets Mjolnir on Loki's chest. Loki tries to get out from underneath it.

"How did that not kill you?" Steve asked.

"We have stronger bodies than humans, it takes a lot to kill us, that's not to say that it didn't hurt though." Loki explained.

Loki starts mocking Thor, asking what good his strength is doing him, then he tells Thor that there's nothing he can do. Thor calls Mjolnir to his hand.

"What are you doing?" Quill asked.

He cracked the bridge with Mjolnir. Odin opens his eye. Thor continues breaking the bridge. Loki sits up and asks Thor what he's doing. Then he tells Thor that if he destroys the bifrost he'll never see Jane again.

"So you're using logic... to guilt trip him?" Strange asked.

Loki picks up the spear and walks toward him. Thor asks Jane to forgive him before destroying the bridge. It explodes, Thor and Loki get thrown away and the observatory falls off a cliff. Odin catches Thor who is holding onto the spear, which Loki is holding onto.

"And Odin saves you both from certain death." Hope said. Thor and Loki winced, knowing that wasn't true.

Loki tells Odin that he could've done it for all of them.

Odin tells him no. Loki looks up at him and starts to loosen his grip.

Loki looked away from the screen, tears in his eyes that he refused to let fall.

Thor protests. Loki lets go of the spear and falls into the void. Thor screams.

"You tried to commit suicide?" Valkyrie asked softly. Loki nodded mutely.

"Why did you let go?" Thor asked, sadly, tears in his eyes as well.

"It was the only way out of the mess I made, only way to -but I never get what I want so, of course, I didn't stay dead for long." Loki responded. 'Never do' he thought.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I will tell you when this is over."

Jane, Darcy and Erik are shown watching as the clouds clear up.

Darcy walks back to the car, Erik follows shortly after. Jane starts walking back.

In a dining hall in Asgard a group of people are shown eating. The warriors three are telling stories. Volstagg says that he flew into the creature and laid him low.

Fandrall asks if Volstagg meant he fell on his huge ass.

Everyone laughed at the banter between the friends.

Thor walks up to Frigga, holds her hands for a moment then walks away.

Sif walks up behind her and says that she's sorry for her loss.

Thor is walking through a long hallway.

Frigga asks about Thor.

Sif says that he's mourning Loki and he misses Jane.

Thor walks up to Odin who tells him that he'll be a wise king.

Thor says that there will never be a wiser king than Odin.

"You're wrong." Valkyrie and Loki said. Thor looked at them in shock.

"You are- will be- a far wiser king than Odin." Valkyrie said. Thor looked at her with a smile on his face.

Thor says that there also won't be a better father than Odin.

Loki clenched his jaw. "Odin was a terrible father, Thor. You just didn't see it because he favored you." Thor looked ready to protest. "You can't know or understand because he wasn't like that with you."

"Thor, from what I've seen so far, Odin was only really a good father to you." Tony said.

Thor says that he has a lot to learn and he says that someday he'll make Odin proud.

Odin says that he's already made him proud.

"Touching."

Thor walks over to Heimdall, who is standing on the edge of the broken bridge. Thor asks if Earth is lost to them.

Heimdall says that there is always hope.

Thor asks if Heimdall can see Jane.

Heimdall says that he can.

"Well, that's something at least." Sam said.

Jane, Erik and Darcy are in their lab, which now had all of the equipment in it again. Erik says that he has the particle detectors and asks if Darcy has the SHIELD satellite codes.

Darcy asks if anyone's seen her taser.

A few people laughed at that.

Thor asks how Jane is.

Jane says Darcy's taser is in the car.

Heimdall says that Jane searches for Thor.

"That's really sweet." Pepper said.

Erik Selvig is shown walking through a SHIELD base. Fury greets him.

Erik asks if Fury's behind everything and says he thought Fury took him down there to kill him.

Fury says that he's been hearing a lot about New Mexico and that his work impressed people smarter than him.

Erik talks about the Foster theory.

Fury says that legend tells them one thing and history tells them another and that every now and then they find something that belongs to both. He opens a case and reveals the tesseract.

All of the avengers groaned. "I meant it when I said he should have left it in the ocean." Steve said to himself.

Erik asks what it is.

Fury says its power and that of they can tap into it, it could be unlimited power.

"Are you crazy!?" Nebula and Gamora shouted.

"You have no idea what you are messing with or how powerful that thing is." Gamora said.

Loki appears next to Erik.

"You aren't looking too well, Loki." Thor said, worried.

Loki says its worth a look persuading Selvig to repeat the phrase.

Erik repeats his words.

"How long were you influencing Dr Selvig before you took complete control over his mind?" Fury asked.

"Only since then, so it wasn't that long." Loki responded.
