Scott is in the van, writing something down. '377 days until I can see Cassie.'
"That's a lot of days." Peter said.
Scott walks into Luis' place. Luis asks him what's up. Scott says nothing.
Dave tells Luis that Scot might not have heard him.
Luis asks how that party was.
"Not great." Scott said.
Scott opens the fridge, grabs a beer and takes a swig from it and tells Luis to tell him about the tip.
"Oh here we go."
Luis is confused. Scott tells him that he wants to know about the tip.
Luis gets excited. Dave says that Scott grew a pair.
"They seem excited." Hope said.
Scott tells them to calm down and says he just wants to know where the tip came from.
Luis says that he was at a wine tasting with Ernesto and it was mainly reds and he doesn't like reds.
"How does someone not like red wine?" Tony asked.
"I don't know. White wines are too sweet in my opinion." Natasha said.
He says that there was a rosé that saved the day. He says that Ernesto was telling him about a girl named Emily that they used to know. He says that that was the first pair of boobs he's ever touched.
"I don't think we needed to know that." Steve said.
Scott tells him that those are the wrong details and they have nothing to do with the story.
"He gets off track sometimes when he gets excited." Scott said.
Ernesto says that Emily is working as a housekeeper and she's dating a man named Carlos and she told him about the person she's cleaning for and he's a CEO who's retired but he's rich.
"Me." Hank said.
Luis says that Ernesto and Carlos are on the same softball and Carlos says that 'this guy's got a big-ass just sitting in the basement chilling.'
"It do be chillin." Ned said.
"That's right." Peter agreed.
Luis says that Ernesto came to him because he knows that he has mad thieving skills. He says he asked Ernesto if Emily told Carlos to tell Ernesto to get to him what kind of safe it was. He says that Ernesto said no and all Emily said is that the safe is super legit and whatever is in it has to be good.
"I'm not gonna lie, Luis is a really good storyteller." Clint said.
"Right?" Scott said.
"Really knows how to captivate an audience." May added.
Scott is confused. Kurt tells him that an old man has a safe.
"That's one way to put it." Gamora said.
Luis says that the old man is gone for a week.
Scott says that there's an old man with a safe and he's gone for a week. He says they should work with that.
"Sounds good."
Luis walks into a shop, the clerk gives him a case. Dave is getting the van repaired. A uniform falls into the street, Kurt takes it. Luis shows them what's in the case. Dave takes off someone's license plate and runs.
Everyone laughed at that.
Luis sets some waffles on the table.
"Gotta have waffles." Rhodey said.
Kurt is on the telephone pole. He says that the landlines are cut and the cell signals are jammed. He says that no one will be making distress calls.
"He's good."
Everyone else is in the van. Luis calls for a comm check. Kurt and Dave check them. Luis says that he has Scott's back if the job goes bad.
Scott says that that isn't going to happen and he leaves.
"Weren't you the one who told Thor not to get cocky when breaking and entering?" Hope asked.
Luis says he loves it when Scott gets cocky.
"When you get too cocky, That's when things go south." Quill said.
Scott jumps over the wall. Dave is impressed.
"Nice jump." Clint said.
Scott scales up the house and finds the alarm. He puts a device inside of it and says the alarm is dead.
"Nice."
Scott climbs through the window and says he's moving through the house and he grabs a set of keys off of a table.
"I like that keychain." Rocket said.
He walks down a set of stairs and unlocks a door and sees a fingerprint scanner on the door. He tells them that there's a fingerprint lock on the door.
"I bet you didn't plan for that." Hope said.
Luis says that Ernesto didn't tell him about that then asks if they're screwed.
Scott says they aren't necessarily screwed.
"What are you planning?" Maria asked.
Scott walks into the kitchen, grabs tape out of a drawer and glue and a ring out of another. He sticks the tape on a doorknob and pulls it off and puts the ring on it, he puts glue inside of the ring and holds it over a flame. He lifts the hardened glue out, revealing a fingerprint.
"Hmm. I'm impressed." Natasha said.
"Yeah, man that was pretty awesome." Clint said.
He holds it to the scanner and the door unlocks. He says he's in.
Kurt says that no alarms were triggered.
"Hell yeah."
Scott walks in and sees the safe and makes a noise of disappointment. Luis asks what it is.
Scott says that they weren't kissing when they said the safe was serious.
Luis asks how serious they're talking.
Scott says that it's a carbondale safe that was manufactured in 1910 and it's made from the same steel as the Titanic.
"Bet you didn't plan for that either." Hank said.
Luis asks if he can crack it.
"Yes I can." Scott said.
Scott says that it doesn't do well in the cold and asks if they remember what the iceberg did.
Luis says that it killed Dicaprio.
"Is he-is he seriously talking about the movie?" Strange asked.
Dave says that it killed everybody.
Kurt says it didn't kill the old lady and says that she still threw the jewel into the ocean.
"Kate Winslet." Happy said.
"How to you remember her name?" Rhodey asked.
Scott grabs an air mattress, a jug of liquid, a funnel and something from his backpack. He sticks the device onto the safe, blows up the air mattress, pours the liquid into the funnel and uses something to freeze the door.
"Nice." The scientists all said.
He puts up a blanket and stands behind it. Luis asks Scott what he's doing.
Scott says he poured water into the locking mechanism and froze it with nitrogen. He tells him that ice expands and metal doesn't.
"You're actually pretty smart." Hope said.
Luis asks him what he's doing now.
Scott says he's waiting. The door breaks off and falls onto the air mattress.
Everyone clapped.
Scott walks into the safe. Luis asks what's in it and asks if it's cash or jewels.
"Jewels? What am I a pirate?" Hank asked.
Scott tells him that there's nothing here.
Luis asks him what he said.
Scott sees the suit and says there's a suit.
Luis is confused. Scott says that it's an old motorcycle suit.
"Not a motorcycle suit." Scott said.
Luis asks if there isn't anything else in the safe.
Scott says that it was a bust.
Luis apologizes and says that he knows Scott needed a score. Hank is shown watching this on the security camera.
"You were watching the entire time?" Howard asked.
A scientist walks a lamb into the lab. Hope and Cross watch. Hope says she thought they were using mice.
Cross asks what the difference is.
"What do you mean 'what's the difference'?" Bruce asked.
Cross says to commence experiment 34C which is organic atomic reduction.
Hope tries to tell Cross to rethink this.
Cross says that shrinking organic tissue is the centerpiece of the technology, he says he can't go to buyers with half of a breakthrough.
"He only cares about the profit." Fury said.
He activates the machine, which turns the lamb to goo.
Everyone gasped. "Oh my god." They whispered.
Cross says that the 34C experiment results are negative and says to sanitize the workplace and bring in 35C.
"He's a maniac."
Scott is in the bathroom. He looks at his backpack. And asks why the suit would be locked up.
"I have a feeling you're about to find out why." Vision said.
He takes the suit out and takes a Pym particle out of the belt. He picks up the helmet and says that it's weird.
"I agree."
He is now in front of the mirror, wearing the suit.
"Looking good, Scott." Hope joked.
He backs up into the bathtub. Luis, Kurt and Dave come home. Luis asks Scott what's up. Scott closes the shower curtain. He presses one of the buttons and shrinks down.
"Whoa!"
"I imagine that was terrifying." Steve said.
Hank asks Scott if the world looked different from down there.
"Hell yeah it did." Scott said.
Scott asks who said that. Luis opens the shower curtain. Scott calls his name.
"He can't hear you." Hope said.
Hank says that it's a trial by fire or in his case water. Luis turns the water on. Scott gets thrown out of the tub by the water, and cracks the floor as he lands.
A few people cringed, thinking that that must have hurt, the dude cracked the floor.
Hank says that Scott is tougher that he thought he was.
Luis unzips his pants. Scott says he doesn't want to see that.
"I wouldn't want to either." Hope said.
Luis takes his pants off, Scott falls through a crack in the floor. He falls through the ceiling of another room, landing on a turntable. He falls off of the turntable and falls onto the floor, narrowly missing being stepped on.
"That looks terrifying." Rhodey said.
He falls through a vent and into another room, a woman is vacuuming, Scott gets sucked up by the vacuum.
"I've always wondered what the inside of a vacuum looked like." Peter said.
The woman stops the vacuum, Scott jumps out of the bag, startling her. He walks under a door and sees a rat.
"Oh no."
Scott launches himself out of the window with a mouse trap.
"That wasn't actually terrible for it being your first time in the suit." Hope said.
He lands on a mans car, denting it, he grows to normal size, denting the car further.
"He's probably so confused." Clint said, laughing.
Hank says that that wasn't bad for a test drive. He tells Scott to keep the suit and tells him that he'll be in touch.
Scott tells him 'no, thank you.'
Everyone laughed.
Scott packs the suit up and returns it. He jumps back over the wall and the police are there. A cop tells him to get on the ground and says that he's under arrest.
Scott says he didn't steal anything but he was returning something he stole.
"Idiot." Hank said.
Scott gets on his knees and a cop cuffs him.
"I'm sorry I had you arrested." Hope said.
Scott is sitting in a cell, Paxton is talking to him. Paxton says that Scott almost had them convinced that he would change. He says that they were rooting for him and this will break their hearts.
Scott sighed.
A detective walks up to them and tells Scott that he has a visitor.
Scott asks who it is.
The detective tells him that it's his lawyer.
"Not a lawyer." Scott, Hank and Hope said.
Scott walks into a room, Hank is there. He tells Scott that he told him he'd be in touch. He says that he's starting to think that Scott prefers the inside of a jail cell.
"Oh, it's you." Coulson said to Hank.
Scott sits. Ants cover the security cameras.
"Nice."
Scott apologizes for stealing the suit and says that he doesn't even want to know why Hank has it.
Hank tells Scott that Maggie was right about him.
Scott tries to ask how Hank knew about her.
Hank says that the moment things get hard Scott turns to crime.
"I did it for her, not that that makes it any better, but still." Scott said.
Hank tells Scott that he has a choice. He says he can either spend the rest of his life in prison or he can go to his cell and await further instructions. "What?"
Scott says he doesn't understand.
Hank says he doesn't expect him to and tells him that he doesn't have many options and he doesn't either. He asks Scott why he thinks he let him steal the suit in the first place.
"You let him steal it?" Everyone asked.
"Of course I let him steal it." Hank said.
Flashback: Hank drops the money in Emily's car and Luis' story plays out.
"Huh."
"You planned that very well." Bucky said.
Hank says that second chances don't come around that much so the next time he thinks he might see one he should take a close look at it.
"Good idea." Scott said.
Maggie is putting Cassie to bed. Cassie has the rabbit Scott gave her. Maggie asks her if she's sure she doesn't want a different toy.
Cassie says she loves the one she has.
Scott smiled.
Maggie tells Cassie to get some sleep.
Cassie asks Maggie if Scott's a bd man because she heard some adults say that he was.
Maggie tells her that Scott isn't bad but he just get confused sometimes.
"I'd say desperate is a better word for it." Scott sighed.
Scott is sitting in his cell. A flying ant lands on the door. Other ants carry the suit in, they press the button and make it bigger.
"Second chance." Hope said.
Ants start counting down from 10. Scott puts the suit on, the ants are at 4.
"How did you get dressed that fast?" Valkyrie asked.
The detective looks in and sees that Scott isn't there. Hank comments on Scott actually listening for once.
"Contrary to popular belief I can do that." Scott said.
Hank tells Scott to go under the door. "Under the door."
Scott runs underneath the door and now he's outside. He asks where he should go next.
Hank tells him to hang tight. Ants approach. He backs up and trips on a pop can tab.
"I bet that was weird, ants being bigger than you for once." Sam said.
Paxton asks where Scott went.
The detective says he vanished.
Paxton says to set up a 5 block perimeter.
"Oh boy."
Scott tells the ants to get back
"They're there to help you not attack you." Hank sighed.
Hank tells Scott that the ants are his associates.
Scott asks if he has a camera on an ant.
"Seems reasonable enough." Bruce said.
Scott asks where the car is.
Hank tells him that there is no car and says that they have wings. A flying ant lands.
"Wow."
Hank tells him to put his foot on the central node and mount the thorax.
Scott asks how safe that is.
Hank tells him to get on the damn ant.
Everyone laughed.
"So impatient." Peter said.
Scott gets onto the ant. The police cars start driving away.
"Why so many?"
Scott is on one of the cars. He asks why he's on a police and asks if he shouldn't be on one.
"To be fair, that doesn't seem like the safest place to be." Quill said.
Hank tells him that they'll give him a lift past the 5 block perimeter.
"That makes sense." Clint said.
Scott asks what they're next move is.
Hank tells him to hang on tight.
Scott says that it's easy and he's getting the hang of this.
"Don't get cocky." Rhodey said.
Scott says you yank to go up and compares it to riding a horse.
Hank tells him that he's throwing 2-47 off balance.
Scott asks if his name is 2-47.
"Well it is an ant, Scott." Hope said.
Hank says that he doesn't have a name he has a number. He asks Scott of he has any idea how many ants there are.
"So many."
Hank says that it might be 2-48.
Scott says he's getting vertigo.
Hank says he thinks it's 2-47.
"Can we discuss the number of the ant later?" Hope asked.
Hank tells Scott to hold on tight.
Scott says he thinks he's getting the hang of it.
Hank says that he is controlling 2-47 and he isn't listening to Scott.
Scott asks if he can make a request. He lands in a girls hair.
Hank tells him no.
"Well damn."
Scott calls for a time out. He lands on a newspaper, then gets tossed up by steam. He asks Hank what happens if he throws up in the helmet.
"Oh my god." Natasha said, exasperated.
Hank says it's his helmet and tells Scott not to throw up.
Scott says he's getting lightheaded. Scott passes out and falls off of the ant.
"Oh my god!"
