An explosion occurs outside of the compound. Vision joins Wanda at the Window. Wanda asks what it is.
Vision tells her to stay there and goes outside. Wanda uses her magic to hold a knife to Clint.
"Oh, it's just you." Natasha said.
Clint says he guesses he should've knocked, then hits the knife away.
"Probably."
Wanda asks him what he's doing there.
Clint says he's disappointing his kids.
A few people snorted at that.
He shoots 2 arrows and says he was supposed to go water skiing.
"Sounds fun." Maria said.
Clint tells her that Steve needs their help.
Vision appears in front of them and tells Clint that he shouldn't be there.
Clint said he retired for 5 minutes and everything went to shit.
"Told you, you're a good luck charm." Natasha said.
Vision tells him to consider the consequences of his actions.
Clint says they're considered. The arrows from earlier electrocute Vision.
"Uh... sorry about that." Clint said to Vision.
Clint tells Wanda that they need to go, and starts leaving.
Wanda says she's cause enough problems.
"Maybe, but you can still help." Clint said.
Clint tells Her to help him and says she can go to high school if she wants to mope.
"Its true, that's where all the mopers are." MJ said.
He tells her to get off her ass if she wants to make amends. Vision breaks free and kicks Clint to the floor. Clint says he should've stretched.
"You think?"
Vision and Clint start fighting, Vision puts Clint in a chokehold and tells Clint that he can't overpower him.
Clint says he knows he can't but Wanda can.
Wanda tells Vision to let Clint go and says she's leaving.
Vision says he can't let her. Wanda makes him release Clint.
"Thank you." Clint said to her.
Wanda contains him with her magic. Vision tells her that they'll never stop being afraid of her if she does this.
Wanda says she can't control their fear but she can control her own, then sends him through the floor.
Vision and Wanda glance at each other awkwardly. "We both did what we had to do." Vision said.
Clint gets up and says that they have another stop.
"In San Francisco." Hope sighed, assuming that he was going to get Scott.
T'Challa walks up to Natasha with a guard. She tells Natasha to move or she will be moved.
T'Challa makes a comment about how that would be entertaining.
Everyone snickered.
"Honestly, I just want to see who would win that fight." Shuri said.
Natasha asks T'Challa if he thinks he can find him.
T'Challa says his resources are considerable.
Natasha says it took the worlds 70 years to find Bucky so he could do it in half the time.
"True." Okoye said.
T'Challa asks if she knows where they are.
Natasha says she knows someone who does.
"Who?"
Sharon and Steve are under an overpass, they get out of their cars. Sharon says she isn't sure Steve understands the concept of a getaway car.
Steve says it's low profile.
"Well, I'll give it that." Sam said.
Sharon says that's good because this stuff tends to draw crowds, she opens the trunk to reveal their gear.
"Nice."
Bucky asks Sam if he can move his seat up.
Sam tells him no.
Everyone laughed.
Bucky glared at Sam. 'I'll get him back someday.' He thought.
Steve tells Sharon that he owes her.
Sharon says she has a list. She looks at Bucky and says he tried to kill her.
Bucky looked down, sheepishly.
Steve says he'll put that on the list and tells Sharon that they're going to come looking for her.
Sharon says she knows. They kiss.
"Did you just... kiss my niece, not that long after my funeral?" Peggy asked.
Sharon leaves. Bucky and Sam smile and nod. Steve gives them a look.
Steve, Bucky and Sam meet up with Clint and Wanda at the airport. Steve tells Clint that he wouldn't've called if he had a choice.
Clint tells Steve that he's doing him a favor and says he owes a debt.
Steve thanks Wanda for having his back.
Wanda says it was time to get off her ass.
"Good."
Steve asks about their other recruit.
Clint says he's rarin to go and they put some coffee in him but he should be good. He opens the van and Scott wakes up.
Hank and Hope both sighed, Scott should not have gotten involved in this.
Scott asks what time zone this is.
A few people chuckled.
Scott walks up to Steve and shakes his hand. They greet each other. Scott tells him that it's an honor and then says that he's been shaking his hand too long.
"Yes, yes you have." Strange said.
Scott says that this is awesome and turns to Wanda and says that he knows her too and says she's great. Scott grabs Steve's biceps.
"Don't make it weird." Sam said.
Scott says that he knows they know a lot of super people and thanks them for thinking of him, but trips up on his words. Scott greets Sam.
Sam greets Scott back and calls him tic-tac.
Everyone giggled at the fitting nickname.
Scott says it's good to see him and starts talking about what happened when they last met.
Sam tells him that it was a good audition but it won't happen again.
"Audition. You mean when you got your ass kicked? It was hilarious." Natasha said.
Steve asks if they told Scott what they're up against.
Scott says it was something about psycho assassins.
"Really?" Tony asked. "That's how you wanna play this?"
Steve says that they're outside of the law so if he comes with them he'd be a wanted man.
Scott asks what else is new.
Scott sighed.
Bucky tells them that they should get moving.
Clint says there's a chopper lined up.
A man over the PA says something in German. Bucky tells them that the airport is being evacuated.
Steve tells them to suit up.
"Here we go."
Steve runs over to a helicopter. Tony and Rhodey land in front of him. Tony says it's weird how they run into people at the airport and asks Rhodey if he thinks it's weird.
Rhodey says that it's definitely weird.
"It is." Everyone agreed.
Steve tells Tony to hear him out and says that Zemo is behind everything.
T'Challa joins. Tony says that Ross gave him 36 hours ago 24 hours ago and asks Steve to help him out.
Steve tells him that he's after the wrong guy.
"Well, you're right."
Tony tells him that his judgement is askew.
"Both your judgements are skewed if we're being honest." Fury said.
Tony says that Bucky killed innocent people yesterday.
Steve says that there are 5 more just like him and says that he can't let Zemo get to them first.
Bucky cringed, remembering what happened when they finally tracked down Zemo.
Natasha joins and tells Steve that he knows what's going to happen and asks if he really wants to punch his way out of this.
"Here's a novel idea. Why don't you just sit down and talk like the adults that you are?" Coulson suggested.
Tony says he's run out of patience and calls for Peter. Peter swings in and webs Steve's arm and takes the shield.
"You weren't kidding when you said you stole his shield." Ned said.
Tony tells him 'nice job.' Peter says he could've stuck the landing better but it's a new suit. Then says that it's nothing and the suit is perfect and thanks him.
Tony says they don't need to start a conversation.
"Well, you do but not about that." Maria said.
Peter tells Steve that he's a big fan and introduces himself at spiderman.
Tony says they'll talk about it later. Steve says Tony's been busy.
Tony tells Steve that he's been a complete idiot.
"Wow."
Tony says he dragged Clint into this a d 'rescued' Wanda from a place she didn't want to leave.
"You don't know that I didn't want to leave. " Wanda said.
Tony tells Steve that he's trying to keep him from tearing the Avengers apart.
Steve tells Tony that he did that when he signed.
Steve and Tony glanced at each other but said nothing.
Tony says that they're done and tells Steve to turn Bucky over and come with them, because it's either them or a squad of J-soc guys with no compunction about being impolite.
Sam tells Steve that they found the quinjet.
"Nice."
Steve holds his hands up and Clint shoots the webs off. Scott, who is on the shield, grows and kicks Peter in the face. Scott hands the shield to Steve.
"Thanks Scott." Steve said.
Rhodey asks what that was.
"I'm Scott." Scott said.
Tony says that there's 2 in the parking deck and one of them is Wanda, he says he'll get her and tells Rhodey to get Steve.
Rhodey says Sam and Bucky are in the terminal.
T'Challa says Bucky is his.
Steve throws the shield at Rhodey. Peter asks what he should do.
Tony tells him to keep his distance and web them up.
'Should've kept my distance.' Peter thought, remembering what happened when Ant-Man became huge.
Steve starts fighting T'Challa. T'Challa tells him to move and says he won't ask again.
Scott tells Natasha that he doesn't want to hurt her.
"To be entirely honest, I doubt you could hurt her." Hope said.
Natasha tells him not to stress about it then kicks him. Scott shrinks and flips her and hold her arms behind her. She zaps him.
"Ouch."
Peter starts climbing on the windows. Bucky asks what the hell that is.
Sam says that everyone has a gimmick. Peter crashes through the glass and kicks Sam in the chest. Bucky goes to punch him with his left arm, Peter catches it.
"Okay... what?" Sam asked.
Peter says Bucky has a metal arm and tells him that it's awesome. Sam picks Peter up and starts flying. Peter tells him that he has the right to remain silent.
"Peter... stop talking." MJ said.
Tony starts shooting at Clint and Wanda. T'Challa claws Steve's shield. Rhodey takes out an electric weapon and tells Steve that it won't kill him but it isn't going to tickle either. He hits Steve with it, Steve blocks it with his shield.
It was at this moment that the Avengers started thinking to themselves 'How are we letting ourselves go this far?'
Tony flies up to Clint and Wanda and tells her that she hurt Vision's feelings.
Wanda says he locked her in her room.
"That's an overstatement." Tony said.
Tony tells her that she's exaggerating and he did it to protect her
"People do messed up things sometimes in the name of protection." Loki said, thinking about Odin.
Tony turns to Clint and says that retirement clearly doesn't suit him.
"Apparently it doesn't suit you either." Clint said.
Tony asks if he got tired of golf. Clint says he played 18 and shot 18 and says he can't seem to miss.
He shoots an arrow and Tony fires a repulsor at it then says that there's a first time for everything.
Clint says he made him look. Wanda starts throwing cars at Tony.
"Maybe throwing vehicles around is going a little too far." Gamora said.
Tony gets buried under the cars. FRIDAY tells him that there are multiple contusions detected.
Tony says he detected those too.
"I'd be shocked if you didn't." Bruce said.
Sam continues fighting Peter, Bucky throws a sign over Peter's head. Peter ducks. Peter tells Bucky that he lost the sign and throws it at him, Bucky dodges it.
Sam kicks Peter in the back. Peter shoots a web at Sam's pack, Sam crashes. Peter webs Sam's hand to the railing and asks if his wings are carbon fiber. Sam asks if the webs are coming out of him.
"They're not." Peter said.
Peter says that it would explain the rigidity flexibility ratio and says that that's awesome.
"Nerd." MJ said.
Sam says he doesn't know if Peter's ever been in a fight but there usually isn't so much talking. Peter goes to kick Sam, Bucky jumps in front of him and they fall to the ground. Peter says he'd like to keep this up but he has one job and he needs to impress Tony.
"Kid..."
He goes to shoot a web. Redwing takes the web and flies Peter out of the window, Peter drops. Bucky asks Sam if he couldn't do that earlier.
"Yeah, why didn't you think of that before?" Gamora asked.
Sam tells Bucky he hates him.
"Well good because I hate you too." Bucky said.
Rhodey flies up to Steve who kicks him out of the air, the kicks T'Challa away as well. Scott hands Steve a tiny truck and holds up a blue disk and says to throw it at that. They throw the things. The truck enlarges and explodes on top of Rhodey.
"Scott what the hell!?" Hope yelled. "Are you trying to kill someone?"
"What were you thinking?" Hank asked.
Scott says he thought it was a water truck.
"Idiot." Hank said.
Rhodey gets up and says he's pissed now.
"Understandable."
Tony helps Natasha up. Natasha asks if that was part of the plan.
Tony says his plan was to go easy on them and asks if she wants to switch it up.
Clint and Wanda run to the quinjet. Steve, Scott, Bucky and Sam join. Vision uses the mind Stone to burn a line in the concrete.
"Oh dear."
Vision tells Steve that he knows that he believes what he is doing is right. Then tells him to surrender for the collective good. Rhodey, Peter and T'Challa join Tony and Natasha.
Sam asks Steve what to do now. Steve says they'll fight.
"Idiots, all of you." Fury muttered.
Natasha sarcastically says that this will end well.
Everyone sighed.
The teams start running toward each other. Peter says they aren't stopping. Tony says that they aren't either. The teams start fighting each other.
"Damn it."
"We should've tried to talk it through." Natasha said.
Natasha and Clint are fighting each other. Clint slams her to the ground. Natasha asks if they're still friends.
Clint says it depends on how hard she hits him. Natasha goes to kick him in the face, Wanda sends her into a truck and tells Clint that he was pulling his punches.
"She's my friend." Clint defended.
Bucky and T'Challa are fighting. They are grabbing each other by the throat. Bucky tells him that he didn't kill T'Chaka.
T'Challa asks why he ran.
"You were chasing me." Bucky said. "What would you do if you had a pissed off cat man chasing you?
T'Challa kicks Bucky into some crates. T'Challa goes to claw him, Wanda sends him flying.
Steve throws his shield at Peter's web and knocks him down. Peter says the shield doesn't obey the laws of physics at all.
"No it does not."
Steve tells him that there's a lot going on that he won't understand.
Peter says that Tony said he'd say that and he webs his feet and drags him close so he can kick him in the face.
"Ooh, that looked like it hurt." Scott said.
Peter says Tony also told him to go for his legs.
"How did you take down Captain America?" Shuri asked.
"We shot him in the legs cause his shield is the size of a dinner plate and he's an idiot." Peter said with a German accent.
Steve goes to grab the shield. Peter webs his arms to stop him. Steve flips and causes Peter to let go.
Tony chases Sam. Sam asks Clint to get Tony off him.
Clint asks Scott if he's buckled in.
Scott says he's good and calls Clint arrow guy.
"Arrow guy?" Clint asked.
"If the shoe fits." Natasha joked.
Clint shoots the arrow, Scott gets in to Tony's suit.
"Shit." Tony muttered.
Steve hits Peter in the face with the shield. Peter gets on top of the jet bridge. Steve asks if Tony told him anything else.
Peter says Tony said Steve was wrong but he thinks he right and it makes him dangerous.
"So you guys are just telling the people that you recruited the worst things you can about the other?" Maria asked.
He swings off the jet bridge and Steve kicks him under it. Steve says Tony has a point and knocks the jet bridge down. Peter catches it.
"Nice."
Steve says he has heart and asks where he's from. Peter says he's from Queens. Steve says he's from Brooklyn and runs off.
Clint shoots arrows at Tony. Tony's gauntlet powers down. FRIDAY says there are weapons systems offline.
Scott tells him that he'll need to take the suit to the shop.
Tony asks who's speaking.
"Me." Scott said.
Scott says it's his conscience and they son speak a lot these days.
"Really?" Tony asked, Scott.
FRIDAY deploys the fire suppression system. Scott starts running and falls out of the suit.
Bucky tells Steve that Zemo is probably in Siberia already.
Steve says they need to draw out the fliers and says that he'll take Vision and tells Bucky to get to the jet.
Sam tells both of them to get to the jet and says that the rest of them aren't getting out of there.
"He's right, there's know way all of you are going to be able to leave." Valkyrie said.
Clint says that if they want to win this, some of them might need to lose it.
Sam tells Steve that this isn't the real fight.
Steve asks Sam what the play is.
Sam says they're going to need a big diversion.
Scott says he has something big but he can't hold t for very long.
"Please don't do what I think you're going to do." Hope said.
Scott tells them to run like hell on his signal and if he tears himself in half don't come back for him.
"What?"
Bucky asks if he's going to tear himself in half.
Steve asks Scott if he's sure about it.
Scott says he does it all the time before backtracking and saying that he did it in a lab once and passed out.
"Is this even safe?" Steve asked.
Scott tells himself that he's the boss. He jumps onto Rhodey's suit and gets huge and grabs Rhodey.
"What the hell?" Everyone asked.
Scott starts laughing. Rhodey says that the tiny dude is big now.
Steve says he guesses that that's the signal.
"Duh."
Tony tells Scott to give Rhodey back. Sam kicks Tony in the chest. Scott throws Rhodey, Peter grabs onto him with a web and stops him from crashing into the plane.
"Thanks." Rhodey said.
Scott kicks a bus into T'Challa and Vision. Vision breaks the bus in half. T'Challa starts chasing Steve and Bucky. Tony gets Sam off of him and asks if anyone on his side is hiding any shocking or fantastic abilities because he's open to suggestions. Sam releases Redwing into Tony's face.
"oof."
Scott tells T'Challa to go through him if he wants to get to Sam and Steve, he goes to pick T'Challa up. Rhodey starts shooting at him. Peter swings from Rhodey's foot onto Scott and hits him in the head.
Clint starts shooting arrows at T'Challa. Clint says they haven't met yet and introduces himself.
"So polite." Maria joked.
T'Challa says he doesn't care.
"No need to be rude." Shuri said.
Clint turns his bow into a staff and they continue fighting. Rhodey hits Scott with an EMP. Scott tries to hit him with a truck, Rhodey blasts it to pieces. Scott tries to step on him, Rhodey dodges his foot.
"Please don't step on me." Rhodey said.
Steve and Bucky are still running, Rhodey chases them. Wanda tries to hit him with a car, he dodges. Peter crawls on Scott's helmet. Vision makes himself solid and hits Scott. T'Challa kicks Clint off of him and chases Steve and Bucky. Vision flies through Scott. Scott says that something just flew in him.
"I imagine that would be a weird experience." Quill said.
Vision uses the Mind Stone to knock a tower down in front of the Quinjet. Wanda catches it and Steve and Bucky keep running. Rhodey hits Wanda with and EMP and she loses focus and the tower drops, Bucky and Steve make it through.
"Good."
Natasha is there and tells Steve the he won't stop.
Steve says he can't.
Natasha says she's going to regret this and holds up her arm and electrocutes T'Challa.
"I didn't see that coming." Clint said.
Steve and Bucky run toward the Quinjet, T'Challa tries to follow but she electrocutes him again.
Peter asks if anyone's seen Empire Strikes back and calls it a really old movie.
"How is that relevant right now?" Rhodey asked.
Rhodey asks Tony how old Peter is.
Tony says he didn't carbon date him and says he's on the young side.
"On the young side... he's in high school." May said.
Peter asks if the remember the part on the snow planet with the walking things.
"The AT-ATs." Ned said.
Peter starts swinging around Scott's legs. Tony says he thinks Peter might be onto something.
Rhodey tells Tony to go high, then they both fly into Scott's head and knock him down.
Peter say that was awesome and gets hit in the face and goes down.
"Peter!" May gasped and grabbed onto her nephew's arm.
Scott shrinks back to normal size and asks if anyone has orange slices.
Despite the situation, people couldn't help but laugh.
Peter flies up to Peter. Peter starts trying to fight him. Tony reminds him that they're on the same side.
Peter says that was scary.
"I imagine that it was." Bruce said.
Tony tells Peter that he's done.
Peter says he's fine and says he has to get him back.
Tony tells Peter that he's going home or he'll call May and says he's done and walks away.
Peter says he's not done and sits up then says that he's done.
"You weren't kidding when you said the guy who hit you was huge." May said.
The quinjet starts taking off. Natasha electrocutes T'Challa again. T'Challa runs and grabs onto the quinjet's wheel but falls. The quinjet takes off.
"I was too consumed by my vengeance to think properly." T'Challa said.
Natasha tells T'Challa that she said she'd help him find him catch kill him and says there's a difference.
"Loophole." Clint said.
Vision lands next to Wanda and holds her. They apologize to each other.
Everyone smiled at that.
Vision says it's catastrophe like he said it would be.
"Yeah, you were right." Sam said.
Rhodey starts chasing the quinjet, Tony joins. Sam starts following. Rhodey tells Vision that Sam's on his 6. Vision shoots him with the Mind Stone, but Sam dodges and it hits Rhodey instead and kills the suit. Rhodey starts falling.
Everyone gasped.
"Were you trying to kill him?" Steve asked.
Tony and Sam start chasing Rhodey. Rhodey says he's flying dead stick. Tony yells Rhodey's name. Rhodey hits the ground before either of them can reach him.
"Oh my god." Tony whispered, tears in his eyes. Rhodey put his hand on Tony's shoulder, too shocked to say anything himself.
"This has gone too far." Sam said. Everyone agreed with him.
Tony lands next to Rhodey and takes his face plate off and tells FRIDAY to read his vitals.
FRIDAY says a heartbeat is detected and emergency medical is on the way.
Everyone sighed, relieved that he didn't die.
"Thank god you're alive." Tony said.
Sam lands across from him and tells him he's sorry. Tony shoots a repulsor at him.
"I should've seen that coming." Sam said.
"How could we let this happen?" Natasha asked after a moment of complete silence. "How could we let it get that bad?"
