Izuku huffed as he watched the news obsess over the Noumu Hunter. Sure he had given Cell the ok to strike against the other Noumus just to avoid drawing suspicion. But just listening to the news, the sheer amount of times they repeated the same thing over and over again.
Are they just that desperate for a good story?
Still, he'll have to surpress this annoyance for now. Give it about a week or so and they'll stop talking about Cell. It's not like they have much to use, they have no footage and almost no witnesses.
A sudden call from Shockwave caught his attention.
'Our partnership has arrived in person to collect the quota and has questions related too Cell.' Shockwave messaged. 'I am incapable of meeting him in person, message me each question and I will respond in turn.' he messaged back. 'He expresses curiosity on how Cell was created.' Shockwave messaged him. Izuku huffed as he began to type out his return.
"Cell was not of my own making, but rather the meticulous effort of a group of subordinates." The electronic voice of a text to speech echoed out. All For One almost smiled at this, but contained himself.
Around him was the Inventor's lair, few machines approached him. Yet he could sense the creature was watching him from the shadows. He knew that the Inventor had a lot of work ahead of him with the discovery of the Sapia Laboratory, but he just had to lead him on.
"Really, am I to assume that... What did you call him? Cell was it? Was made to guard you?" Afo asked. "Yes, however the method of his creation is a rather complicated matter." the tts voice responded. "I see, you used parts of my Noumu didn't you?" Afo asked. "Regretfully it was. You had requested we dispose of the corpses, never how we disposed of them. My associates used the spare material to slowly begin Cell's creation." the tts responded.
"So, considering the amount of time between the U.S.J. and Cell's debut, it took a long time to create Cell?" Afo asked. "The process of creation required constant surveillance and almost non stop modifications to its genetic makeup. Should another thousand attempts be made at his creation, few would be successful." The inventor said. "Well, I was merely curious about his creation. The doctor would without a doubt try to create a Cell of his own, yet I don't think he would bother. Too much time for a single creation isn't in his interests." Afo said.
"Well, I have no other questions. The location on the next Laboratory is just in a flash drive I had left on the desk. Do try to lessen the amount of Noumus you kill, I still need them for other purposes." Afo warned. "I will take that into consideration, what had been done the night prior was a test, I feel you would have asked for my efforts in disposal anyway." The Inventor said. "True, just try to dispose of them after the heroes have had their fight with them." Afo replied. "Understood, enjoy your new tech." The Inventor said before the call ended.
Afo simply shook his head and began to walk away. Returning to the tunnel that he had entered through with a large pile of new technology behind him. His exosuit gave off a light hum as he strode through the tribute to the past.
"Greetings, Shigaraki. It has been a long time." An electronic voice spoke as Afo paused. He turned, looking at a large core that had been attached to the frame of an Issue Unit. "Who, are you?" Afo asked. "Sergeant Shigaraki, veteran of the Third World War. Desertion of his military duties after the rise of Quirks. One of the men who had guarded my core during the delivery process between the Sapia and Dromeda Labs. I remember you, the strange genetic signatures of your person had peeked my interest at the time." The Core said.
"That doesn't answer my question." Afo said as he resumed the demon lord persona he had created. "I am a Core, refered to as Soundwave. The being dragged out from the depths of Sapia." Soundwave said curtly. "Why are you talking to me?" Afo asked with a sloght flair of malice. "Is there anything wrong with conversing with an old friend?" Soundwave asked. "What makes us friends?" Afo asked. "We are both far older than quirks, we have also encountered one another before." Soundwave answered.
"We never even talked before, so give me one good reason why I shouldn't dispose of you." Afo threatened. "I am an assest to your benefactor. You wouldn't do anything to alienate one another's good will." Soundwave countered. Afo glared at the core, but said nothing. "I'll be taking my leave." he said before continuing down the tunnel.
'That was rather tense, to think that he could just watch into the lair undetected using the trade tunnel.' Izuku huffed. He managed to make it through the meeting without even needing to be there in person. 'Still, he got so close. If he even thinks I'm going to betray him he won't hesitate to kill me, or worse.' he dwelled on the subject.
His phone buzzed again as Izuku opened it back up.
A simple message was sent from Soundwave.
'I know who he is.' was all it said.
'Elaborate.' Izuku sent a message. 'Sergeant Shigaraki Hisashi. Deserter of the J.D.F. and veteran of The Third World War.' Soundwave sent. 'Same name as my father's.' Izuku considered for a second before digesting the rest of the message. 'I did not expect military desertion to be on his list of crimes.' Izuku messaged. 'During the early days on the rise of Quirks militaries around the world attempted to either eliminate or manipulate any Quirk user they could find. Shigaraki fled the military when Quirks first became public knowledge.' Soundwave answered.
'So he's even more dangerous than before.' Izuku sent. 'Without a doubt. He would have little difficulty against both our machines and Cell in his current state.' Soundwave messaged. 'What about when Cell is at 100%?' he messaged.
'At 100%, Cell would be capable of fighting against Shigaraki at full power. Whether they would both survive is another question.' Soundwave responded. 'Cell grows stronger with time correct?' Izuku asked. 'Yes, With his regeneration and Nano Machines he would be capable growing exponentially more powerful than a normal being in a very short amount of time.' Soundwave answered.
Izuku took only a moment to formulate a plan. 'Get Cell to begin training; whether it be martial arts, body reinforcements, or just doing crunches until he can't do them anymore. If he has free time and he's been fed, get him to start training.' he messaged.
Understood.
"Why am I doing this again?" Cell asked as he watched a group of R and Bs assemble a training area for him. "It is by orders of the Master. You saw how powerful Shigaraki is, Should he attempt to harm the master you will be his last hope." Shockwave explained. "Still, I'm already strong enough to hold out against All Might." Cell argued. "You are still imperfect, and All Might is far past his prime. By current estimation, he is only twenty percent as strong as he had once been. You have an unprecedented amount of potential, Master wishes for you to not squader it." Shockwave said.
"Fine, I'll begin training." Cell said as he looked over the training area. There was a massive obstacle course, a reinforced punching bag, and several training dummies meant to take hits from him. "Why do I have both a punching bag and several dummies?" Cell asked as his eyes wandered across the course. "Both serve different functions. One is to test how hard you can hit while the other is meant to hone your reflexes." Shockwave answered.
"So, where to begin?" Cell pondered as he approached the obstacle course. He could see a wall full of shifting bricks, powerful electronic mines, and unknown machines designed to hamper his attempts through it. "Is it timed?" he asked out loud. "Yes." Shockwave answered. "Good." Cell slurred as he shifted into a running position.
His legs tensed as he looked at the course. He braced his neck and analyzed the course in its entirety. "Lets do this." he said before rushing forwards. The world slowed down around him as he moved to the first obstacle.
Only to pause as the wall seemed to shift at a speed comparable to his own. He had no moment to contemplate it as he used his wings and claws to scamper over the entire wall. His body was violently rocked back and forth before he finished vaulting over it.
As he continued onwards he was met with saw blades and harsh volts of electricity. He powered through them, uncaring as they cut and burned him harshly. The mines exploded behind him as he squeezed through a small gap on another wall.
Finally he made it to the end and he felt the world turn to normal. "What's the time?" he asked. "5.72 seconds, with deductions made for lost limbs and other such materials." Shockwave announced. "What, deduced points?!" Cell asked in anger. "The Master will not stand for the Heroes or the H.P.S.C. getting a chance to analyze your genetic make up. He fears that the H.P.S.C. would attempt to recreate you regardless of the consequences." Shockwave advised.
Cell looked back at the course, at the arms left by the saw blades, the pieces of tail lost to the wall, and the chunks of torso scattered around the whole course. "I, understand what he means. How long will it take the course to reset?" He asked. "It only takes one minute for the course to be reset. The Master knew that you would require numerous test runs." Shockwave said.
"Good, lets start again." Cell said as he walked back to the start of the course and braced himself. "Ready?" he asked "Begin." Shockwave announced as Cell races forward.
