A quick warning, most of this chapter is just a retelling of the events of the story up to this point. If you wish to skip it then go ahead.
Tsutsumi wandered the halls of the lair with one goal in mind. A confrontation, the man who rescued her from Tartarus still owes her a proper explanation. She knows his goals, but not the reasoning behind them. Not to mention the whole kidnapping of a minor with a pension for engineering.
Deftly, she increased her pace, the hard metal of the floor banging against her soles. The circular maze of metal blended into familiarity as she found herself in front of the man's room. Looking over the door she found no buzzer, just a bare steel sheet with a small break in the centre. Carefully she knocked, ready for any sudden change in the environment.
"Yes Tsutsumi? do you wish to talk with the Master?" the voice of one of hid A.I.s asked her. She held back the urge to jump back at the suddenness of the A.I.'s questioning, just glancing up to a speaker that she hadn't noticed. "Yes." she said cautiously. "Understood, the Master has been expecting you. Just proceed through the door." the A.I. said as the door opened. Tsutsumi gave a cautious look inside before walking in.
The room was reminiscent of an apartment space, not very spacious but filled with the necessities to live. Slowly she made her way inside, the door closing as she fully entered. She made her way past the kitchen and living room areas, finding another door with a pair of cylindrical robots on either side of it. They gave her no mind as she opened it with a simple turn of the knob.
Inside of the room the first thing she noticed was the helmet resting on the table. The very same helmet he had been wearing earlier to conceal his identity. She turned, finding a large screen which appeared to be displaying a human spinal column. Small things appeared to be swarming it with a bar at the bottom of the screen showing a "46% repaired". Finally she looked down and froze.
In the bed, flanked by two more of those same robots, the bed that supposedly held the Master of this lair, was the same kid she had been reading about earlier. "You wished to talk Miss Tsutsumi?" he asked while looking right at her. She didn't speak, just wordlessly nodded as she began connecting points. "If you are curious about my current condition. I have a swarm of nano machines hard at work repairing the damages to my spine." he said while pointing at the aforementioned screen.
She could see bandages wrapped around his wrists and the faint glowing of something in his veins. "It will take a while for them to finish, until then I have to limit my movements." Midoriya said before he glanced at one of the other robots. Said machines adjusted the bed, allowing them to talk face to face. "I assume you want to know why I'm a villain? And why I technically kidnapped myself?" he asked, earning a glare from her.
"Alright, if you have any questions feel free too ask. I'll be telling you everything I've done so far for this." Midoriya said, earning a nod from her.
"It all started over a year ago, I had made been meaning to present the first version of my P.A.M. Unit, much like the four you see around us, which would have been he beginning of all this. I always like machines, and hearing stories about the past, I wanted to bring back the wonderous technology of the past through my own efforts. It all went wrong during the night, a hero was battling a villain and destroyed the apartment building my mother and I lived in. We survived, but we had to start again.
In a mix of anger and desperation I began my villainous career. I created the Brick Units and used them to start building a criminal set up. I robbed factories, support companies, and many other places. Using their resources I began to expand the powers of my villain organization. Yet while I did that I began with my original plan, I presented the P.A.M.s to a group of investors and was given funds to start my business." Izuku paused. "So, you mixed the two professions together?" Tsutsumi inquired.
"I tried my hardest to keep them separate. Had any connections between my two personas been discovered then everything I hoped to accomplish with my civilian identity would be for nothing. Steadily I set up a facility to begin building the P.A.M.s and other Models to help people and promote technological advancements. While that was happening I had my entire villainous organization moved Underground, in a literal sense." he took a breath. "We're completely underground?" Tsutsumi inquired. "Yes, this entire facility is underground." Midoriya answered.
"After that things began to settle in. My villainous persona would go around and rob facilities over and over again, as my civilian persona built up a reputation as a genius inventor. Eventually things began to grow out of hand, when I was forced into meeting with All For One as my villainous self while my civilian self began making deals with U.A. and Nedzu. Slowly I got in the good graces of both of them as my respective self." "You got into All For One's good graces?" Tsutsumi inquired. "Yes, he paid well for my tech and had a desire bring back aspects of the past much like myself." Midoriya answered.
She gave him a concerned look, which he repaid with an apologetic look. "He pulled me in, I'm half convinced he has an unconscious charisma Quirk that makes you susceptible to his requests." Midoriya trailed off. Tsutsumi nodded, remembering the sheer terror she felt in the presence of All For One. "I progressed, becoming an ally of U.A. in my civilian form while my villainous persona was invited into joining All For One's Inner circle. I even got to visit I-Island and talk with David Shield. Then a side project of mine, the Entier Units, created a being to aid in my operations, Cell. He was imperfect at the time, but extremely powerful." Midoriya explained.
"There is something else as well. The reason I continued on with my villainous endeavors even as my civilian persona enjoyed great success. There are places in the world that hold the technology of the past. Laboratories trapped by the ruins of the old world. The lair here is made from one of these labs, I even have another lab being brought here as we speak. The technology and blueprints hidden in these labs would allow us to advance the technology of the world." Midoriya said with pride while gesturing to the lair around them.
"Even with all that I still had to keep my two lives separate. To avoid suspicion I even had my own villains self rob my civilian self as part of a random string of robberies, forcing me to restart from scratch but still evading suspicion. Things continued onwards, it even got to the point where I considered quitting the villain persona, taking what I would need and slowly integrating it into my civilian self. Only using this place to find the locations and explore the other Laboratories." Midoriya paused yet again.
"Cell continued growing stronger and my relations with U.A. also improved. Still the H.P.S.C. would become a thorn in my side as Cell would grow into a wild card. The Comission would try to steal from me, even try to take me in as one of their lackeys. I held them off for a time with the aid of U.A. and Nedzu. But things kept changing." Midoriya paused before he gestured to one of the P.A.M. Units. The little machine rolled away before returning not long after with a tray of water. Midoriya took his glass as Tsutsumi did the same.
"You aren't asking as many questions as I assumed?" Midoriya inquired. "It was my intention, but your story has peaked my interest." Tsutsumi replied. Midoriya nodded before taking a sip of his water.
"Anyway, things were going well. I considered quitting my villainous career, but I kept going for various reasons. Then All For One was defeated by All Might, and it felt like I could truly cut back on my villainous operations. At this time Cell had reached his semi-perfect form and could theoretically fight against All Might and All For One. I was set to continue my business, using this facility as little more than a means to find the other Laboratories." Midoriya paused, a look of contemplation on his face.
"What is it?" Tsutsumi inquired. "I had my family move to the U.S. with my father. It may have been the only way to keep them safe." Midoriya said. Tsutsumi nodded before taking a sip of her water. "Even with All For One gone villains were still being problematic. But I had a solution, something to ease the difficulty of life. I created a Quirk Erasing Transmitter, capable of nullifying Quirks within a particular range. But someone leaked the location of the showing." Midoriya paused.
"The Comission?" Tsutsumi said. "That's the leading theory. To counter the rampant villains I decided to send in my own villain forces as well. During which, Cell struck me with his tail and slammed me to the ground, leading to this injury. When he awakens from his metamorphosis I intend to interrogate him on his actions." Midoriya said before letting out a sigh.
"I spent several days in a hospital, Nedzu aiding me while in recovery. Only for the Comission to raid my facility and attempt to kidnap me during the night. Cell intercepted and managed to rescue me before I could be taken, but I fear that they have stolen some of my dangerous works. So my current plan is to slowly tear the Comission and allowing a new organization to take their place. I was already planning on breaking you out before then, and using the escape for something else." Midoriya trailed off.
"Something else?" Tsutsumi inquired. Midoriya made a gesture to one of the P.A.M.s and it changed the screen's display. Rather than the show of Midoriya's spine being restored it showed a line of different oceanic scanners and a map. There was a lone large object that was slowly moving towards the lair at a slow pace. With all those villains out, the government and heroes will be too occupied to notice the moving object. By the time they discover the readings it will have been too late. You probably hate me for this, breaking the worst prisoners in Asia out of Tartarus just so that I can move a massive Laboratory through the ocean." Midoriya trailed off once again.
Tsutsumi looked at him, and he looked back. Neither said a word as they stared one another down. "That brings us to where we are now, you inquiring about me while I'm having my broken spine repaired." Midoriya said. Tsutsumi said nothing, just huffed for a second. "You aren't afraid of the consequences of the breakout?" she asked. "No, I'm horrified of them. All For One broke out, not to mention all the other villains. I have faith that the heroes will bring them down, but who knows how long that may take, or how much damage they may cause?" Midoriya replied.
"You truly wish to take down the Comission?" she asked. "Yes, it's put itself in the way of my goals, but I can't just destroy it without consequence." Midoriya said. "I see." Tsutsumi said before turning away. "You're going?" Midoriya inquired. "I've heard enough, call me when we begin the next stage." She said before walking out. She took one last glance back, seeing a small smile on Midoroya's face as his bed was lowered once again.
