Happy winter everyone! Here's the next chapter I promised! And much earlier than I thought it would take. Also, keep in mind there will be some parts here where things are going to get a little different compared to what actually happened in the original storyline in PPGZ, ok? Please enjoy!!
In another world, it was much like it was in the old era, before superpowers became a thing of reality in the world that we all know too well, but in this case in this world that seems to have no people with superpowers whatsoever, there were its own set of oddities that it was about to face, both new and something that had occurred years and years ago.
In the city of New Townsville, there lived a professor known as professor Utonium, who worked with his son Ken and their robot toy pet Poochi were trying to perfect a chemical known as chemical X, trying to improve upon it and thus far they hadn't had any results, until one day when everything changed, For the better and for the worse.
Poochi, Who was a little too overzealous in wanting to try a zebra cake even though he was a robot dog, had accidentally flung one of the cakes into the batter of chemical X, but instead of causing a catastrophic explosion, the cake merged into the chemical and inexplicably changed, becoming exactly what the professor hoped to change it into, and thus he soon changed the name of the newly changed chemical from X to Z.
But it was on the same day that something completely bizarre happened, without any warning what so ever glaciers started to appear in the town and cause a sudden blizzard, but it wasn't just there that was affected, everywhere around the world strange weather phenomenons were happening in ways that should not be possible, like blizzards in the desert, droughts in Venice, constant non-stop rain in the outback, to name a few, and the cause of it seems to be from the glacier itself, even though that seemed insane.
Ken had suggested that they used the newly created chemical Z to destroy the glacier and make everything go back to normal, his father had objected as they needed to test it before they even should attempt to use it, but his son did not listen and went ahead anyway, using the new chemical right then and there with a turret like Canon to destroy the glacier.
And although it worked as near instantaneously the blizzard suddenly vanished, something odd also occurred, seven white lights along with multiple black lights soared across the sky and were flying all over the city.
While many of the black lights would later spawn new villains that would cause havoc, four of the seven white lights however brought forth something amazing.
Three of them struck three teenage girls, that were roughly around Izuku's age, by the names of Momoko Akatsutsumi, Miyako Gōtokuji, and Kaoru Matsubara Who each one used their own bodies to shield three individual kids from getting struck by the lights, which turned each of them into heroes and together the three of them would form a team known as the Powerpuff Girls Z, while the fourth one struck Poochi, making him sentient and able to think for himself.
The other three white lights vanished, quickly being forgotten as the gang had to face villains on a daily basis.
From a monkey known as Mojo Jojo who gained intelligence and most certainly was smart enough to be able to create machines to cause havoc, to a country bumpkin by the name of Fuzzy lumpkins Who is territorial and will make anything his property with about as much stubbornness as a bull, to a gang of five green individual members known as the gang green gang Who cause a ruckus, To a rich bratty classmate who without any knowledge whatsoever becomes a villain every time her pet cat screeches in pain Who was extremely jealous of the girls And of anyone who got way more attention than her (Even her own older sister even though she looks up to her), to a girl that although they were friends with they often had to fight her altar ego (Which she was completely unaware of And would transform every time lipstick came in contact with her face regardless if it touched her lips or not) Who was just as in love with a boy named Jason as she was And would go at any lengths to have him as her own and who at first was completely unaware that she and the girl Annie were the same person until Jason who accidentally stumble upon their secret one day had revealed it to her and was ultimately the one to help resolve everything as he promised to keep things simple and assured her that even though she was a different side to Annie they were both generally the same person and thus that meant he would love her as he did Annie which allowed her to make peace and hardly ever cause trouble ever again, Even having to fight against their gender opposite counterparts who were created by Mojo Who used samples of their DNA along with chemicals he stole from the professor's lab better known as the Rowdyruff boys Who were as gross as they were completely immature and childish, to name a few.
Everyday the girls fought off villains and kept the city safe, More often than not at the cost of either keeping things stable in their school life, at the cost of a full night's rest, or even wanting to have some special personal time for themselves, nonetheless they would always try to resolve as many issues as they could both in their normal lives and in their heroic ones as well.
Their only allies being The professor, his son, Poochi, And even the Mayor and his secretary Miss Bellum.
To give you a brief summary on the main 6 members of the gang:
Momoko is a cheerful, slightly ditzy teen, and is the girly type. She loves sweets and action figures, comics, manga, superheroes and is considered to be "boy crazy." She's crafty and somewhat manipulative, shown when she could cry on que, unlike Miyako and Kaoru who had to force themselves to cry. But sometimes she is silly, childish and usually takes breaks in the middle of a battle with her friends. Despite her personality, Blossom is a lot smarter, and mature then others give her credit for especially when she has her bright moments. She is also a hyperactive girl. And she has both a sweet tooth and a bottomless stomach for sweets and will even motivate herself to get sweets as a reward if she finishes her homework (She also really hates when someone steals her treats and she's afraid of going to the dentist). She is the unofficial leader of the trio. Because she loves reading mangas, she's mostly known around school as a hero/heroine freak who usually makes references to them and her favorite franchises on a normal basis and She has a good sense of humor too when it comes to saving the day. Her signature color is pink.
Miyako is quite mature, and has a motherly, caring side to her. She's very sweet and girly like Momoko. Though at times she doesn't understand things, she's very friendly and polite, but like the other two girls, can too get mad when provoked, and disapproves of crying to get what she wants. Though popular in school she's neither a brat nor spoiled and often ignores the boys who have a crush on her (because she already likes someone else, a boy named Cody who she's known since childhood), and she has a innocent and gentle personality, and has a love for animals, has a taste for fashion (both of which has come in handy several times), and loves her doll, Octi. She has experienced in doing chores such as cooking and cleaning, thanks to her grandmother. However, she sometimes spends too much time on accomplishing these tasks well. She dreams of being a fashion designer. Her signature color is blue.
Kaoru is a tomboy, and is the most easily enraged girl of the three, though she has a heart of gold and a sense of humor and is sometimes more of a brain operator than her leader. She detests anything girly, particular skirts and dresses, which makes wearing the Powerpuff uniform a bit more awkward but she has no choice. She is famous for being the most athletic girl in school and is admired by many female students. She enjoys all kinds of sports and spends a great deal of time watching them on TV. She's also very good at playing sports (especially soccer), doing Martial arts and has a fear of the dark supernatural genre. And she also loves fighting crime (but not when she's tired), skateboarding and wrestling. And is the strongest of the 3. Her signature color is green.
Professor Utonium, While he is very gentle and serious, he may, at times, act a little less mature than he usually does. He is shown to be willing to help even if he has to step out of his comfort zone such as when the Powerpuff Girls Z are "grounded" from using their powers for a day (after an incident that happened) when they have to take a test in school, Professor Utonium fills in for them with Ken and Poochi, donning an exosuit with a laser beam gun and rocket pack, calling himself "Professor Puff Z". He is an amazing inventor and is a caring father to his son, and even shows that side to the girls too. He sometimes feels bad for Ken not being able to spend time with his mother who is usually away on important space related business, but tries his best to be there for him (even if he sometimes goes overboard on it) and helps him be able to speak with her when she's able to spare time to contact her family.
Ken is a young scientist and is an only child, he at times calls his father Professor instead of Dad. Ken acts more mature than the girls, and sometimes he's a bit bossy. He is very spoiled because his father let him be but he has a good heart. Ken doesn't go to school because he has already finished all the levels at school due to being a prodigy, but he has good friends in Momoko's little sister Kasey and his former bully/rival Joey. Just like his dad, He has a lot of knowledge. And He is an eight year old "super-genius" with a PhD. He has a very close bond with Poochi.
And Finally Poochi is a kind and lovable dog. He never gives up when it comes to challenges in his life. Sometimes when deceived he is deplorable and becomes angry. He is willing to help out however he can and he is usually the one to call out to the girls, signaling them to get suit up, when trouble stirs up (at first his calls would promptly make the girls transform but after the professor did some modifications this allowed the girls to transform on their own but they would receive the sigh when they are required to save the day again).
The girls kept it a secret from everybody else, including their own individual families as Momoko had a mother, a father and a little sister (as previously noted), Miyako had a grandmother, and Kaoru had both parents along with 2 brothers with the former being older and the latter being younger.
And more often than not they had to make sure that no one knew that they and the Powerpuff girls were one and the same, Although they did have a few close calls.
They have even met new friends and fought off new enemies from either another realm or planet sometimes.
But among all the villains that they have ever faced, there was one individual who was the worst of the absolute worst.
Better known as Him.
It would later be revealed by the professor that there was a backstory behind him, That long go in a time forgotten by everybody but a select few, he used to be an ordinary human who had the worst life as not only had he lost his parents at a young age but since childhood nobody has ever lent a hand to him, no one has ever helped him, and in fact either disregarded him altogether or made his life ultimately worse all because his parents were not the best pottery sales people and the fact that his grandfather was a notorious thief who long since died from cancer, things ultimately got worse after his parents were killed in a carriage accident when he was only 5, and with every year that went by especially after losing his parents, his hatred towards people grew more and more, long since forgotten any happy memories he ever shared with his family as he actually grew to hate them for leaving him so young and he especially hated his grandfather for causing all of this in the first place even though he too was long dead, when he was older he began playing nasty pranks and causing incidences to happen in his village as his way of getting revenge on those who shunned and discriminated him for things that were not his fault And for all the harm that they brought upon him, Which only further ostracized him as he was more often than not branded a freak and a monster.
Until one day upon his 22nd year did the villagers finally put their foot down and banished him from the village forever.
But on that same night, a beautiful meteor shower suddenly appeared, one unlike any people in that era had ever seen before, but It was also that same meteor shower that brought forth a particular meteor that would change everything.
Upon crash landing, The man ran over to investigate, The meteor itself was composed of radioactive compounds that would make it dangerous, but when he touched it it did not kill him, but rather it mutated him, The elements of the meteor merged with him and that of his negative emotions, memories and black heart, turning him into a monster that resembled a jester who had crab claws and wearing just about the most gaudiest outfit you'll ever see.
He was no longer Himorolo Hakasaki the human, But instead a monster of chaos and destruction, to which he named himself the most terrifying name possible and one so long and so terrifying that people had to refer to this new monster as Him.
And since then He used his newfound powers to cause mayhem and disaster to happen, no longer just mere pranks and inconvenient incidences, but actual harm and destruction that has led to people dying or being badly hurt, and not just at his old village but everywhere else too.
People would only feel safe around the winter months as even when he was human he always hated them because they were extremely harsh and near lethal to him, And thus he would spend the entire winter within a volcano that would normally kill a person but for him it would feel like he was having a relaxing vacation at a hot spring, going dormant until spring finally came.
People had hoped that he would finally die out one day but as it turns out that the meteor had not only changed him but also made him have the ability to become ageless, even if it was possible to weaken and kill him, he wasn't going to die from old age and he was too powerful for normal weapons to hurt him.
No matter what anyone did no one could stop him.
Until, One day a professor known as professor pythium, Who was the professor's ancestor, had finally managed to develop a way to finally defeat Him for good. He was the original creator of chemical X, and With the help of his three apprentices, Three girls who in fact were actually the ancestors of the Powerpuff girls, Known as Mei, Mi and Shoko, He turned them into superheroes better known as the Good enough girls X.
I know the name itself was pretty lame, but they could not think of a better name and they were pressed for time.
Together the three girls were able to weaken him enough that the professor could use a siphoning device he made to separate his darkness from him, putting him into a comatose state due to him being so in tune with his powers, while they sealed up the dark light in a specially made box which was later thrown into the sea to be lost forever, they buried his body in an ancient tomb with seals made with the same substance in order to keep him trapped forever.
The sad truth was even though they were able to defeat him they were not able to slay him, as he was just too powerful to do so, but they had hoped that by doing what they did he would never wreak havoc on anyone ever again.
Not knowing that he would finally be reawakened thousands of years later, without anyone's knowledge that the canon that had destroyed the glacier also held the box which released all the black lights in the first place, as one of the black lights one day had managed to wake him up but he was still too weak to be able to break the seal of his coffin and thus had to create a minion to find white lights in order to break it for good which led to the girls facing that monster who drained their powers leaving them in a weakend state, nearly facing defeat If not for the help of Poochi Who shared his light with the girls and thus gave them back their strength and allowed them to defeat it, all without knowing that the last remnants of it flew away back to where the tomb was and was able to break the seal, but due to it being winter he had to remain asleep until the weather finally got warmer.
And since then he has caused havoc for the girls, actually nearly getting them killed more often then not, nearly succeeding in ending their lives or careers or both.
All the girls agreed that among any villains they've ever faced, he was the absolute worst.
Despite having some close calls the girls would always manage to save the day every time, defeating Him.
Until one day he finally had enough and started to summon back all the black lights that flew all over the city, however he discovered that some of the black lights did not want to leave some of their hosts, which were in fact a good handful of the villains that the girls faced, such as:
Mojo Jojo, The gang green gang, Sedusa (Annie's Alter ego), Fuzzy lumpkins, The amoeba boys (Even though one of them is actually a girl), and Princess Morbucks. To name a few.
There were a few others who were also hit by Black Z rays, as the black lights were often referred to as, but those individuals were either reformed completely or returned back to normal for good because of the girls or their friends.
Him hatched a scheme, under the guise of a party he invited those who still had their black Z rays who were still villains, and while Mojo, The GGG, Fuzzy,The AB, even the RRB came, Princess didn't come because she thought it was a scam and had her cat Sapphire dumped the invitation into the garbage while Annie was confused about who Sedusa was due to her not knowing about her alter ego but Jason on the other hand did and under the guise of telling her that it must have been a mail error and was going to return it to the post office, he discreetly threw away the invitation not wanting Annie/Sedusa to get hurt or worse.
But Him wasn't disappointed as he was willing to make do with what he had, soon he made his appearance known and announced the villains that they were all going to work together to take down the Powerpuff girls, To which they accepted and also believed the lie that he was going to fill them up with more powers to do it only giving Them a slight taste of his black particles.
At first, They tried to get rid of Poochi due to his interference last time, but failed, And then the gang learned from the professor that they'd actually forgotten something really important, that on that faithful day when the girls got their powers there weren't four white lights but seven lights all together and three of them had disappeared, and after some research he found out that somehow the three remaining lights were sent back in time, And thankfully he'd already developed a solution to the problem, He had invented three robots that resembled the girls which could transform together into a giant battle looking robot which would allow them to go back in time and retrieved the last three lights.
However Him managed to catch wind of this and tried to stop them by sending the villains back in time to stop them but they kept failing.
That was the absolute final straw.
Under the lie that he would empower all of them with even more power, he instead stole as much of the dark light from each of them as possible to make himself all-powerful once more.
Just as the girls had returned back from time traveling and finding the last three lights, another catastrophe struck, but even worse than ever as Him had started to cause the volcano near the city to start erupting as the dark clouds above the town spread like wildfire, lava overflowing threatening to engulf the town in a Sea of fire, small balls of fire shooting out from the top, ash and soot practically falling everywhere like rain and simultaneously causing the volcano to cause serious global catastrophes to happen all around the world.
And that wasn't the only problem, the hotter the volcano made things the bigger and stronger he became as well.
Knowing that this is Him's ultimate plan, they knew that they had to act now or all would be lost.
And there was a solution, the professor said that they could use the siphoning device and white Z rays to stop him for good, But there was one problem though, in order to do this they needed all of the white Z rays, including that which the girls and Poochi possessed, much to everybody's shock and horror.
There was no way to create any more white Z rays and they were running out of time, The girls were very reluctant to give up their lights and give up being superheroes all together as it was because of those rays that they had amazing adventures and were able to fight crime and keep their city safe but Poochi, despite his reluctance in not wanting to go back to being a normal toy dog, was willing to sacrifice his own light if it meant saving everybody, and it was because of his brave sacrifice that even though the girls flew away in sadness but almost immediately after protected the civilians from getting hit by fireballs were willing to give up their lights too if it meant stopping Him, using whatever powers they had right then beforehand to save the day one last time.
At first the girls were having difficulties in trying to weaken him, and knew that siphoning him wasn't that simple, they had to figure out how to destroy him for good, it was then that the girls noticed that there were still icebergs in the bay of the city, as it turns out even though the giant glacier was destroyed the icebergs that follow after did not disappear but they were harmless enough that they wouldn't cause any difficulties to anybody so they were left on their own, That was when they got the idea as they knew that Him absolutely hates the cold and would have an adverse reaction to it, capturing a glacier in a bubble and breaking it into pieces they were able to shove All of it down his suit thus making him get cold and making him shrink down with each passing moment, giving the girls a chance to actually do serious damage on him.
Once he was back to smaller size the girls used the device to sever him from his powers, but with all three of them working together some of their white lights merged with the siphoning rays and not only took away his powers but severed him completely from his body which had long since been indestructible but was now reduced to the size of a doll and fell helplessly into the lava, without him in it the doll itself was no longer impervious to anything and disintegrated as it was nothing but an empty shell, the black cloud that was now Him, or rather had long since became the black mass as his body had only served to be a physical vessel to interact in, tried to retreat into the volcano to get warmed up again but it only bought him so little time as Ken use the cannon like last time, But this time with the white Z rays and shot them straight at the girls as they were ready to give up their powers, upon impact the white lights were taken from them before they went straight for their true target while the girls (Who were unconscious and back in their normal states) were levitated gently back down to the ground as the final act by the rays themselves, upon reaching their target, the seven lights ensnared Him and took him straight up into outer space, where it was far colder than One can imagine as not even winter nor even the coldest places on the planet could compare to how cold it was up in space, The white lights held Him down as he struggled and screamed trying to get away from the cold atmosphere but was helpless as not only was he held tightly by the lights but also was taken far far far away from Earth, soon enough to his horror he started to fade away into nothingness, and try as he might he could do nothing as finally after all these years he finally disappeared for good, never to reign terror on anybody ever again.
Back on Earth, Without Him The volcano suddenly became completely dormant and the lava that was flowing immediately went cold and turned into mere rock and smoldering embers, The dark plume of clouds, smoke and ash quickly disappeared and weather phenomenons around the world vanished all together making everything go back to normal.
Thankfully the girls were all right, And the threesome knew that even though they were not heroes anymore they would always remain friends, but then to their shock and excitement they still had their power belts and they started flashing, to their ever-growing joy they were still able to transform into superheroes, they could still continue to save the day.
And not only that but Poochi was Still sentient, much to his and Ken's relief.
The professor had found that the white rays actually had far more regenerative properties than he had ever anticipated.
With their powers back, the girls went to arrest all the villains that were associated with Him, Who had fallen unconscious after having their black lights taken but still had them as they too had regenerative properties in their own right (But not as powerful as the whites were), to which they retreated like cowards.
But even as things were starting to go back to the way they were before (as normal as this town could get considering everything), everyone began to wonder where the white lights went to.
It was then that the girls were suddenly able to sense their presence and could sense that they were flying in space, it seemed like a portion of each of them had stuck with their lights, It seems like they wanted to see what was out there now that Him was gone forever.
Even as the lights presence was getting further and further away from them, they smiled and sent their own thoughts to the lights while they could, hoping that they would receive their message that if that was their desire then to please be safe and if it was by their choice then to please become a comet That would shine hope for anyone who saw or if they choose instead to give their power to another individual who had a pure heart like them that wanted to do good for the sake of good then to please lend them their power to do so.
With that message received the presence of the white lights soon enough vanished as they started to travel through the galaxy and even started traveling to other dimensions.
Eventually reaching a parallel Earth which was different from the one that it knew before, as this one was one where 80% of the population had special powers known as Quirks.
It was able to sense that there were many heroes out there fighting off evil, It knew that this would be the perfect place to find a worthy individual who would use its powers for good.
But upon entering that world's atmosphere, it was able to sense that it needed to downgrade some of it's ability levels in order to become passable, so choosing to do the old weakest to strongest route it manipulated itself so that it would not only ensure that it would not only be able to enter into that world without risking causing the person it chose to bear it to be harmed by its own overwhelming abilities and quite possibly die but could also be passed off as a quirk to everyone else without raising too much suspicion even though it knew that it itself wasn't a quirk.
But despite having so many choices to choose from, it chose instead someone who was quickless to receive its power, but it knew that it wasn't going to be that simple as it could sense that those who had no quirk were treated like garbage so it needed to look carefully for one individual who had the purest heart that still wanted to be a hero despite not having a quirk, One who despite being treated horribly wanted to do good for the sake of good no matter what it may cost them and even if some think that they don't need help when really they need it the most, And among several small choices, there were two potential candidates.
But it chose to go with the latter as the former, known as Melissa Shield, was already making plans to become a hero like her father, to use her intelligence to make support gear to help other heroes, to prove that quirkless didn't mean useless and that she could become a hero in her own right, even if behind the scenes. So it chose to go with the other candidate in mind:
A young girl named Izuku Midoriya, Who was working hard to build up her body so that she could receive the quirk of her mentor, Toshinori Yagi, better known as All Might, who was the symbol of peace and the current holder of the quirk One for all, Which was similar to it in many ways, it knew It had made the right choice as if both itself And the quirk were to combine then they would help this young girl to not only achieve her dream but be able to bring hope and joy to everyone.
And because the two were similar, they would easily fuse to form one powerful quirk altogether.
Contrary to what everybody back on the other Earth believed, the white Z rays were far more sentient than others imagined, in fact they had always been ever since they were first created, It had actually long since chosen the three girls to become its bearers as it made it look like it was about to hit someone else which would motivate them to spring into action and protect them which was a test that they passed to see if they were willing to protect others from harm, no matter what.
And that was exactly what it did like it did the last three times as it made its course towards her mentor to which it made her spring into action and used her body to shield him from the impact.
Thus creating a brand new Powerpuff Girl.

I have reasons for what I did.
1: I have always hated Him for numerous reasons, both in the original PPG and the PPGZ. (I know some people think differently but I'm just saying for me I personally do not like this guy at all, Please don't think badly of me for having my own likes and dislikes)
2: I actually don't like the concept of the bad guy being sealed away only to be unleashed all over again and then they get sealed again just waiting to be unleashed on an unsuspecting world once more, that part of history repeating itself is Not my bread and butter. So I chose to change things up a bit here.
3: I wanted to apply a bit of a laws of the universe concept into the mix somewhere, kinda like how some people have done so in a few fanfics and AO3 stories I've read before, I hope I did it right.
And yes, I gave Him a backstory for this.
