Here's the next chapter, thank you all for your support and I'm really glad to see that all of you like the story so far. Without further ado, please enjoy!!!!
Something didn't feel right.
He didn't know what, but he knew that something felt... off.
The next morning everything seemed perfectly fine until he got to school, he noticed that Deku wasn't in class, and still wasn't there by the time the second bell rang to begin the first class.
There would only be four reasons for why she wasn't here:
1: She got caught up watching another hero fight (No surprise, Deku's an idiot letting her fangirling get the better of her).
2: A hero fight on the way to school caused some kind of delay as he noticed that several other students were not in class either (That he can actually understand as he himself annoyingly got caught in that a few times before, though thankfully the teacher had leniency and was willing to excuse him because no one could have predicted that happening).
3: She was sick (Everyone gets sick every once in awhile, even him, though he will never say it out loud. Still Deku's stupid for getting herself sick in the first place).
Or 4: She wasn't in school because of a family emergency (Which was pretty rare, not that it was any of his business although it would be his mother's business if something came up).
Turns out number four was the correct answer as the teacher had announced to the class that she was not going to be in class because of family emergency that came up.
'Must've been sudden if she wasn't going to be here today, the old hag would've told me if something came up.' He thought to himself before he huff in irritation, 'Who care's if Deku's not here, its not like she was doing anything useful here. She can go drown in the stupid ocean for all I care.'
Although the day went through without a hitch, and without a favorite punching bag to wail on for anyone including him, this feeling didn't leave him.
Like this was the calm before the storm.
An itch he couldn't scratch.
A stain that wouldn't wash way.
It bugged him more then he would ever admit.
He'd rather explode his own tongue to smithereens before he'd ever say it to anyone. Or out loud for that matter.
Though it didn't help that he felt like something was watching him, even with his death threats to anyone who looked at him funny that feeling only made him more and more irritable then weary.
To make things worse, their imprudent biology teacher dumped a practical weeks worth of homework that would equal about 90% of their final grade that was due tomorrow.
He was tempted to outright explode teacher for doing that, but for the sake of keeping his records clean he unwillingly complied and when alone later he exploded a bunch of meaningless bushes on campus before heading home.
He had half a mind to just dump his bag at home and march straight to the Midoriya residence to demand why Deku wasn't at school, but he decided against it as if it was a private emergency then it was better he stayed out of it as he didn't want to get caught in it, that and even if he wanted to he never got the chance as his mom asked him to help her rearranged the living room because they gotten some brand new couches to replace the old ones, After a bit of a shouting match with her he begrudgingly agreed after being told that his father wouldn't be home until later as he was called in to the office due to an error that came up that could not be ignored.
By the time they were finished it was already starting to get late as the sun was starting to set, and if he wanted any hope in getting the homework done before school in the morning he had to go straight into it immediately after dinner, which he did.
He'd interrogate Deku tomorrow for answers, and if she wasn't there again he'll either cut his losses and just go straight to their house to demand answers or demand the old hag to call auntie and see what was going on.
It's not like he cared about that hero stalker, She was nothing but a stepping stone for him to use to climb his way to his goal.
'She better listen for once or she's dead at the entrance exam!' He thought to himself in angry arrogance, as he was halfway through his homework.
He wasn't going to let some rotting mountain of paper do him in (school wise).
By the time he got it all done it was nearly midnight, too tired to take a bath he quickly made a mental note to himself to quickly shower before school in the morning as he collapsed unto his bed with an exhausted sigh.
'Stupid teacher making me stay up past my appointed bedtime! Stupid teacher just dumping all this on me without warning! Wouldn't be surprised if he was going to get fired for doing this on his unsuspecting class...' He continued to mentally gripe and complain before the embrace of sleep finally took over.
When he woke up the very next morning, and thankfully he woke up to the chime of his alarm on his phone, He immediately went to take a shower before getting through with his morning routine, after making sure all of his homework was in his backpack he went downstairs and had breakfast, his father at the table reading the newspaper while his mom was cooking omelettes for everyone.
Of course as usual, his would be extra spicy.
Soon after that he grabbed his pre-made lunch from the fridge and then headed out.
Again Deku wasn't there.
Yes he knows his teacher had told them that she was going to be absent for a while due to a family emergency, but the fact that he didn't know what that emergency was bothered him more than it should. And it also didn't help that he was quite frustrated due to only getting 6 hours of sleep which made him very... touchy... throughout the day.
When he tried to ask his mom about it After coming home from school, she had told him that it was a private matter, according to her from the last time she had texted auntie, and that all would be discussed later on in another day or two.
Though his mom couldn't help but be a little worried at being told this via text, and was hoping that she and her daughter would be all right.
He wasn't satisfied, far from it, he was tempted to just go over to the residence and see what was going on.
... Oh who are we even kidding? He decided to cut his losses and just go straight to their residence.
...But it turns out that plan was going to be a no-go as he saw that the route to his destination was blocked off by road construction and what looked like a lot of damage done to the pavement and road itself.
It looked as if somebody just literally ripped the concrete out of the ground like it were made of clay, leaving nothing but street style ravines all around several blocks as you could see the sewers from above the surface.
This confused him as all get out.
When he asked ...(Just kidding, demanded) one of the construction workers about it he was informed that Apparently very early this morning, about 3 hours before he had woken up, a villain by the name of Quake Ripper, Who normally resides in the southern coast of Japan, had came into town for business with some of his colleagues to try and raid the National Musatafu Bank, but Was caught red-handed by a group of heroes, who apparently were visiting the town for a get together with some colleagues of their own, were there on site, by sheer coincidence alone, and have been pursuing them for the better part of an hour, most of them have been apprehended but Quake was still on the loose.
Once he was cornered a large struggle took place as he used an illegal drug called trigger to give him a massive power boost which allowed him to use his quirk on a big majority of the pavement and road around him, but In his attempt to try and either badly hurt or kill the heroes chasing him he wasn't paying attention to his own footing and had used too much of his juiced up quirk to The point that he ended up standing on very little concrete left beneath his feet, and with his fear of heights he ended up losing his balance and nearly got buried alive by the concrete he was controlling.
Despite surviving the impact it had left him unconscious and with a nasty head wound, It was a wonder how he had not drowned from being in the sewer while being buried under rubble until more help came.
Thankfully despite what had happened none of the residential houses were harmed in any manner, sure with some exceptions of some bit of property damage having happened it was relatively minor All things considered and could easily be patched up.
And as a bonus, no unsuspecting civilians got hurt or killed.
But because of this, road construction was going to take a while, Normally a few weeks or months give or take, but thankfully they had gotten word that Cementoss would assist in the repairs as soon as he got back into town after he finishes a meeting he's currently attending later that evening to help lessen the time and help get the roads back in working order as soon as possible.
And strangely despite how bad the damage was none of the pipes or any important things that were connected to the pavement and road were damaged in any way so none of the residents had to worry about losing water, electricity or gas anytime soon Although when it comes to getting off their properties, That was another story.
Some would be forced to stay home due to how bad the damage was to the road and there wouldn't be anybody around to help them get to their appointed destinations, whether school or work, etc, while others who absolutely could not miss any important meetings that they need to get to were either forced to take care of those matters online or would have to actually require a hero's help to get off their property and stay at a hotel away from there for a while so to make the transition easier until everything was back in working shape.
He was even shown a map on how far the damage went, including all the routes that he could have possibly taken to the Midoriya residence.
He was advised to stay away from the area until everything was back to normal before he was ushered away by another worker so that they could get back to doing their job.
So yeah, That happened.
Even if he wanted to chance it in using his quirk to fly over there was no way he would be able to stay in the air indefinitely as he was all too aware of how long he could only stay in the air using his quirk until the strain came up and he would plummet to the bottom and either get horribly filthy from the sewer or end up getting badly hurt... or somehow die.
Call him what you will but he wasn't borderline suicidal by any means.
'Stupid lame brain villain causing a stupid amount of damage stopping me from confronting stupid Deku! If he weren't already arrested I'd kill him myself.' He griped furiously in his head as he stomped all the way back home.
'...At least auntie doesn't have to worry about using the roads to get to work since she works at home...' He thought briefly in slight relief as he vaguely remembered that auntie works from home.
... Uhh ...
What was her job again? He didn't remember.
Upon asking his Mom, After returning home, She had told him that she works on an online job as a secretary Taking care of paper work and meeting schedules.
Why?
Originally she did work at the company She had the job at but then the boss himself along with his three brothers who worked with him to run the company all came down with a very nasty disease.
And apparently they were still ill with it to this day, as while it wasn't killing them it definitely made things difficult for them to be able to leave their homes not to mention The fact that it affected their legs to the point that they either needed to get around with crutches, walkers or even wheelchairs.
How did all of them become stricken with this at the same time? None of them would ever know.
All four of them were germophobes and didn't want to take one chance that any one of their workers could get ill, Especially those who work closely with them so they came to a compromise and had those workers work at home to take care of those matters so long as they were related to paperwork or scheduling or other such matters online.
Each of their sons, who all graduated from the same college took over for them in terms of making an appearance and taking care of personal matters that They were not able to do in person.
Everybody else thankfully was able to continue working at the company without an issue.
Even though it shouldn't have been an issue for those especially who worked closely with the original bosses, they didn't feel comfortable with it and instead had new secretaries and personal workers assigned to their sons instead.
Why it was the way it was? Not even she knew, in fact neither she nor Inko knew the reason why as the men had clammed up, Not wanting to speak about the matter any further.
"They're idiots." Katsuki stated out loud, Which his mom agreed with it as it really didn't make any little sense whatsoever.
Not only did it seem stupid in general, but it seems both like those bosses were being too complacent in a way not to mention that it made no sense to not have their appointed workers continue to work under their sons rather than getting new people to work for them.
It was like they were being counterproductive even though they continued to be productive.
Something fishy was going on.
Even though it wasn't any of his business, and he declared that in his head, he couldn't help but ponder on the matter for a while.
Thankfully he was able to quickly forget about it as after he finished his homework he sat down for dinner with his parents. This time actually having the chance to properly shower before bed and get better sleep than last night.
The little twerp still wasn't there the next day.
He denies that this was driving him crazy.
School still stinks, but his day was relatively peaceful. Though if anyone noticed why some of the work equipment at the gym was extra burnt that day, they chose wisely not to question and risk having the living firecracker explode them into next week or tarnish his record.
The more her absence continued the more suspicious and irritating it felt.
He even decided to cut his losses and outright call her.
He begrudgingly admitted that he was glad? that his mom forced him to remember her number as well as his aunties in case something came up.
Though it seemed to be in vain from the start as he quickly changed his mind and thought it was pointless as he wasn't able to get in contact with either one of them after several minutes with no change after trying again several times.
'WHAT DO I CARE!? IT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS ANYWAYS WHAT STUPID DEKU DOES WITH HER LIFE!!' He practically screeched in his head as he got fed up with trying and just discarded his phone on his nightstand and decided to hit the sack early, hoping that he could dream about fighting villains to take out his anger on and avoid his mom screaming at him to stop using his explosions in the house.
'Besides, Auntie is capable of taking care of herself and Deku, so it's not worth getting a headache over.' He thought to himself as, After a bit of tossing and turning, he eventually was able to slowly but surely get to sleep.
Unbeknownst to him, if he had been awake for a little longer he would have heard his mother getting a rather worrisome phone call which would lead to major things to come.
For it was the very next morning that something felt completely off Even more than he had felt that things were for the past few days.
For one thing when he woke up that morning and after he got through with his usual routine, he didn't see either of his parents in the kitchen for breakfast.
It wasn't exactly uncommon for this kind of thing to happen as his mom did work as not only a fashion model but a fashion designer alongside his dad who worked as her manager and choreographer, And sometimes they had to be called to meetings out of the blue like this, and it was no secret that sometimes they would forget to write down when they would be back as by the time he gets home from school he would usually see them already back and having settled down.
But this time... He felt like something wasn't really right. Why? He didn't know, nor did he care.
He honestly did not want to think about it as he was already irritated enough as it was and the week wasn't even over yet.
Had he only taken the time to evaluate the strange instances that have been going on that week so far, he would have noticed the immediate red flags on why his parents weren't home this time around when he woke up that morning. And regret soon after.
He made himself a simple breakfast, consisting of leftover sandwiches from last night and a soda before grabbing his lunch and heading out to school.
But then several things happened that made him really question what was going on (With some, And he'd rather bite his tongue off in denial, apprehension).
1: Just as the second bell rang in for the first period class to begin, he briefly saw a plain looking man in a tan trench coat and fedora pass by the window of their classroom, he seemed to not be alone but didn't get a glimpse of who was with him.
It was hard to tell if he was some kind of new staff member or school inspector, but honestly he didn't care nor knew why he had paid attention to that detail since it really should not matter to him.
2: There was a lot of distant yelling going on about 30 minutes later that really startled everyone, no one could tell what was being said though They could tell that it was coming from the principals office since the walls around there were so thick that they were nearly soundproof To the point that you can only hear a lot of muffling instead of actual verbal audio from there. You'd only be able to hear clearly what was going on if you were in the direct proximity of the door itself.
Even their teacher was shaken by it, but feebly but with force, told them to just ignore it and get back to work.
Though it was easier said than done, especially as no one has heard this much yelling in these walls since that one incident with a past student that used to attend here 2 years ago, Hioruto Jun if he remembered right, who was caught red handed with drugs.
He didn't know anything beyond that, most of them didn't, except that the kid was expelled soon after, while the rest of the details were police confidential.
Although they all knew that the end result wasn't pretty whatsoever.
The yelling all in all just went from high to low to barely audio, lather, rinse and repeat, for a long time until around 4th period when finally it became silent all together after the first 5 minutes.
That's what became #3 as while to everyone else it was a relief, to him (And a few others, he noted) it felt like the ominous quiet that came before the earthquake to come, like he knew something big was going to happen and he needed to flee like most animals do when they sense a disaster is coming, but for him it was stupid.
There weren't any natural disasters coming, he's not an animal.
This shouldn't even be a bother to him, really it should not. But no matter how hard he tries he just couldn't shake it off.
And Lastly, and most certainly not least, the granddaddy of them all, 4: The intercom gave the chime as it lit up, getting everyone's attention before they got an announcement, but not by the principal himself, but by his secretary, but when she spoke she sounded scared and her words kept stuttering here and there.
In fact it was so bad that it took the woman a few moments to actually take several deep breaths before forcing her voice to come out strained but firm to get the message clear.
That he himself was to come straight to the principal's office and bring his bag with him as his parents were waiting for him there, second was that all the students was to report to the auditorium in a calm fashion while in the meantime all the staff members of the school was to meet in the gymnasium, both of which for an important meeting that needs to be addressed to both the student body and the faculty alike, and lastly, due to numerous reports of concerningly suspicious activities the school would be shut down indefinitely.
Only several of the students in his classroom, and from what he can hear from the neighboring ones above and side to side, cheered with the sheer news of school being shut down, while most of the others, the more rational extras admittedly, were quiet and nervous in wondering what was going on as a majority of them had uncertainty and concern written all over their faces.
Katsuki himself, while the noisy extras exited the class hastily while the rest of them just exited quietly after they all collected their items, along with the teacher who was far more nervous than the others, was left with a deep sense of suspicion, wondering what was going on.
Just about hyper aware of how tense the atmosphere felt.
Then his thoughts went back to the Man that had passed by his first period class earlier that day, it must have something to do with him and whoever was with him that the 15-year-old didn't get a chance to identify let alone get a glimpse of.
Yet still something big must have happened if it resulted in this.
A part of him wasn't really surprised that his school was finally getting the hammer brought down on them considering everyone here was a bunch of idiots who were reckless, stupid, greedy, lazy, lame-brained, sleazy, immature, weak-willed midgets who dream too big for their own good and never applied any genuine work to get real things done or were too sick in the head to regard any consequences that may befall them as they go about malicious tasks that would raise red flags too flashy to ignore.
The other part of him was still confused that among all this, He himself had to go to the principal's office where his parents were waiting for him?
But why were they here? Was it just coincidental and they were just coming back home from a meeting That was finished early (Which was rare in its own right for them)?
He growled as he furiously palmed his forehead roughly, telling himself to stop questioning stuff he doesn't know and just go to the principal's office and see what was up.
The sooner he knew the better.
With that in mind he collected his items and made his way to the door, waiting patiently (Although with some growling) for the halls to clear out enough to get by given the fact that right now the halls were flooded with students and faculty alike, and there was no way he was going to get caught in all of that... and risk his reputation in blindly lashing out at everybody just because they were bumping into him repeatedly because they were doing as the secretary had told them all.
He may be the star of the school but even he wasn't that stupid, no matter how much lenience the staff had and no matter how good his grades were, he was not going to let anything tarnish his chances in getting into UA.
It took a good couple of minutes before the halls were eventually clear enough for him to be able to actually leave the classroom and make his way over to the principal's office without a problem, blatantly ignoring some of the looks that the students and staff were giving him as unquestionably they were confused about the reason why he was being called up there instead of being sent to the auditorium with everyone else.
He won't say this aloud, but he himself was confused too, although a part of him believed that it was simply because his parents had come in due to whatever news that they were given by the principal himself and therefore were there to pick him up early.
But the other part of him was saying otherwise, that unnerving and irritating feeling he kept feeling all through that week so far was rearing it's ugly head once more as the feeling only got immeasurably worse.
As much as he wanted to, and he Really wanted to, he knew it was impossible to literally blast the problem way like the helpless weak bushes he exploded the other day.
The sooner he actually went to investigate what was going on, the sooner he would get the precise answer instead of a bunch of useless "What ifs".
Eventually he arrived at his destination, pointedly ignoring the scared secretary as She pathetically tried to make herself smaller, trying to hide under her desk as if it would shield her from any predators coming to eat her, which was idiotic and made her look like a paranoid weirdo.
... Though honestly, looking back, that should have been another indicator that something was really wrong...
... If anybody had told him beforehand of what he was going to be facing that fateful day, he would have called them crazy and delusional, threatened to explode them unless they left him alone and told them to go play in traffic for all he cared.
But could anyone fault him for thinking like that? ...uh ... forget what I said...
How was he to know that from the very moment he opened the door... or maybe even before then, to the principal's office, everything would change for him, but for the worse?
When he opened the door he was met with a surprising sight that somehow felt... wrong... for lack of better words of description.
The principal's office more often than not had always looked pretty lacking, If not for the general design of it then it was by how boring looking it looked especially as the atmosphere itself gave up that kind of feel, but when he came in it gave off an air that felt both cold and serious unlike any he had ever faced, even from his mom.
Speaking of which, his mother along with his father were there along with, to his surprise, aunty Inko, The man he saw before but now without his trench coat and fedora as they were draped on a chair and his outfit now showed the professionalism of that of a police officer, another man who had a cat head (And even a little bell around his neck that made him look more adorable than a respectful authority figure) who's outfit was the definition of a policeman compared to the former and lastly the principal himself.
But something was most certainly not right by any means.
First off, The principal himself, Who had the shiny green eyes of a dragonfly yet they were the same size as that of normal human eyes who had short black combed back hair, dark brown skin, wearing a black dress coat on top of a plain white dress shirt, and given the fact that he was into outfit contour he was most likely wearing pants and shoes that were the same color as his coat, looked like he was trembling his seat, his skin looking extremely pale (And that was really saying something considering how dark his skin normally was) as his face just screamed fear, looking like he was ready to either faint, have an accident in his pants like a toddler or literally die of fright.
Second was the look of his parents, who were in their normal former wear which they typically wore whenever they were in a meeting, as the look on his mother's face was that of deep rage, disappointment and, to his shock, disgust, while his father, on the other hand, he too had a look of disappointment on his face but at the same time his face was now merged with that of sorrow and anger (That part which in and of itself was very, very rare for him), And both of them directing it at him In a way that told him that he absolutely loused up big time, No, even worse than ever before.
Third, And this legitimately frightened him the most, Aunty Inko gave him a look of literal tearful (as evident by how red her eyes looked they gave the indication that she had been crying for a long time) disgust and disappointment, the rage of a protective, angered parent was radiating off of her like the heat of summer, like she absolutely didn't want to be anywhere near him, and that sounded absolutely wrong to him... Especially with the way her eyes looked at him as if critically scanning him up and down, finding only faults in him that were too enormous to ignore.
And finally, the two officers give him an apprehensive look yet their posture held true to that of strict professionalism of their occupation, like they were scanning him as if he were dangerous, The plain looking man holding a file so stuffed with papers that he had to hold it with two hands in a firm grip to keep them from spilling out (or maybe explode given how overstuffed it was), while the cat man was holding a clipboard and obviously he had done a lot of writing given how many papers were folded over the top of it as he can only roughly count at least 12 pages worth of written work give or take.
Whatever was going on, it had something to do with he himself, The principal had better not have told some stupid lie to cover up whatever crime he's done, cuz otherwise he was in for an explosion of a lifetime, He thought to himself briefly as the tension in the room was nearly a thick as the fog of London.
"Katsuki Bakugo I presume?" The plain looking man stated more than asked with his voice being both calm yet Stern, "Thank you for joining us, please have a seat, we have a lot we need to talk about."
He did so as He kept his eyes on the policemen, partly trying to ignore the look that his parents and auntie were giving him as he came closer, his stomach still turning from seeing the expressions on all their faces, what had he done to provoke such a reaction like this (That was unlike any other he could ever remember seeing growing up) was beyond him.
"My name is Naomasa Tsukauchi, I'm a police detective, and my partner here is Sansa." He told him with the latter part pointing to the cat man before he told him, "I'm sorry to say this, but I'm afraid your plans of enrollment to UA has been completely revoked."
Later that day, Bakugo residence
"IT WAS YOUR OWN FAULT THAT ALL OF THIS HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE! HAD YOU ONLY JUST LEFT POOR IZUKU ALONE THEN THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED! BUT NOOOO, YOU HAD TO GO AND TORMENT HER FOR A DECADE ALL BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T HAVE A QUIRK, WHICH IS THE LOUSIEST EXCUSE EVER! AND NOW INKO AND I CAN NO LONGER SEE EACH OTHER ANYMORE NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU BASICALLY THREW YOUR LIFE AWAY FROM THE FIRST MOMENT THAT YOU STARTED TO HURT MY SURROGATE NIECE! YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT SHE NEVER COMMITTED SUICIDE THAT DAY OF THE SLUDGE VILLAIN, CUZ OTHERWISE YOU WOULD BE GOING TO PRISON INSTEAD OF LEVEL 10 JUVIE!" Mitsuki Bakugo screamed at the top of her lungs so loudly that all the neighbors in the neighborhood did everything they could to try and block it out, still utterly frightened from the sheer volume of how much screaming there have been in the Bakugo residence among any other time but a lot worse than ever before.
"IT WAS-!" Katsuki tried to say, trying and failing hard to fight back, every flinch he made with her yelling at him at this velocity, but was immediately cut off as Mitsuki didn't let him get any further:
"NO! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT YOU ARROGANT PUNK! IT WASN'T HER FAULT! SHE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO ASK FOR HELP AND YOU KNOW IT! SHE IS NOT TO BLAME AND SHE NEVER WAS FOR YOUR ACTIONS! IF YOU DARE BLAME HER AGAIN THEN I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET IT EVEN WORSE THAN YOU REALLY SHOULD BE RIGHT NOW! YOU SHOULD AT LEAST BE THANKFUL THAT YOU WERE GIVEN TONIGHT TO PACK YOUR THINGS BEFORE YOU HAVE TO LEAVE FOR JUVIE HALL FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING INSTEAD OF BEING TAKEN IN HANDCUFFS BACK AT THE OFFICE RIGHT THEN AND THERE!"
"NONE OF THIS WAS ANY OF YOUR-!" He tried again, viciously ignoring the tightening and twisting in his chest as he fought hard to get his argument across, at this point just trying to convey anything to make his mom stop, but to no avail as his mother stopped him again:
"IT HAD EVERYTHING TO DO WITH OUR BUSINESS! WE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON! I HONESTLY THOUGHT I RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THIS! I THOUGHT AFTER THE FIRST FEW TIMES THAT WE PUNISHED YOU FOR YOUR ACTIONS THAT YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER BY NOW! BUT NO, APPARENTLY IT NEVER GOT THROUGH YOUR STUPIDLY SICK AND THINK HEAD! IT'S OF LITTLE WONDER WHY IZUKU NEVER CAME TO VISIT US ANYMORE! INKO HAD EVERY RIGHT TO KNOW TOO! I DON'T BLAME HER FOR NEVER WANTING TO SEE YOU AGAIN AND CUTTING TIES WITH US AT THIS POINT OF TIME! SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO CUT US OFF FROM THEIR LIVES IF IT MEANS KEEPING HER DAUGHTER SAFE!"
"AUNTIE CAN'T JUST-!" Again He tried, trying not to tremble, only to be stopped again by her:
"HONESTLY I'M SHOCKED THAT YOU RESPECT INKO WAY MORE THAN YOU EVER DID HER DAUGHTER, IT STILL CONFUSES ME AT HOW CAN YOU EVEN LIVE WITH YOURSELF KNOWING THAT YOUR TORMENTING YOUR FORMER SURROGATE AUNTS DAUGHTER ALL BECAUSE OF SOMETHING THAT WASN'T EVEN HER FAULT! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH INKO WENT THROUGH IN KNOWING HOW MUCH HARM AND PAIN AND SUFFERING HER DAUGHTER HAD TO GO THROUGH?! HOW MUCH IT KILLED HER KNOWING HER DAUGHTER WAS SUFFERING BECAUSE OF SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS THAT DIAGNOSIS ALL THOSE YEARS AGO?! HOW HEARTBROKEN SHE WAS WHEN IT WAS REVEALED TO HER WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON IN HER DAUGHTER'S LIFE OUTSIDE OF HER HOME!? HOW HEARTBROKEN AND FURIOUS SHE WAS KNOWING THAT YOU OF ALL PEOPLE WERE THE ONE WHO MADE HER LIFE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE AMONG ANYBODY ELSE!? HOW ANGRY SHE WAS KNOWING THAT THE SCHOOL DID NOTHING TO STOP YOU AND INSTEAD RESORTED TO MAKING HER LIFE EVEN MORE HARDER AND ATTEMPTING TO SABOTAGE HER SCHOOL RECORDS IF IT MEANT MAKING YOU LOOK GOOD ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID QUIRK AND BECAUSE OF THEIR STUPID, ARROGANT, NO GOOD GREED?!!"
Katsuki snapped as he screeched out, "I NEVER ASKED THEM TO MAKE ME LOOK GOOD BY DOING SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THAT! IT WAS THEIR OWN FAULT! AND BESIDES DEKU IS NOTHING BUT A FREAK AND A WASTE OF-!!"
He was silenced as It wasn't his mother who stopped him, But this time his father as, to his utter shock, he felt a harsh slap smack him in the cheek so hard that it knocked him over as he collided into the ground, unable to stop his trembling in shock as he subconsciously held his left cheek with his left hand as he looked back up only to see his father looking down at him with far more anger than earlier, more then he ever could remember seeing him ever had before.
Yes his anger was very rare, his and Inkos were both rare, Just making them scarier in that regard when they do become that way.
But it wasn't his expression that scared him more, no it was his voice as it practically bled with calm anger and stern disappointment, He didn't need to raise his voice to make his son start trembling far worse as he said, "We are very disappointed in you Katsuki, You should know better than to do something this inexcusable, you of all people should know that this kind of behavior is not what it means to be a hero, there's more to being a hero than beating up the bad guys, and it most certainly has nothing to do with beating up innocent people just because of something that they had no control over or because they either just watched you or encouraged you genuinely. You have no one to blame but yourself For what has happened today, this past decade and what is going to be from here on out. As far as you know, the Midoriya family is no longer any of your business, and never will be again. The attitude you have had towards Izuku and essentially Inko as well has been nothing but villainess by every means."
This time, Katsuki flinched so hard that it caused the tears that he had been trying so desperately to hold back start to appear around his eyes, fervently trying to blink them away as he tried to say something, anything, but nothing came out of his throat, like his voice had abandoned him right then and there as he felt a deep chill run down his spine.
Never had he been spoken to in this manner, nor did he ever imagine his father of all people telling him his actions were villainess, his mom maybe but not him who was usually meek and gentle.
Yet his father in response turned his back towards him, clenching his hands even more than he already was as he told him, "We're not going to argue about this again, go to your room and start packing, You're leaving first thing tomorrow morning."
His words were final, it was far too clear to think anything otherwise, but this did snap Katsuki out of it as He hastily scrambled to his feet, denying that he was retreating to his room like a crying child as he ran with everything he had in his body, somehow his body felt strained as if he had been training all day when really he hadn't done anything to invoke such a thing as his room somehow felt farther away than it actually was from up the staircase to down the hallway.
Ignoring the sound of his mother as she, who had been holding it in through all that time, broke down in tears and started crying soon after as his father went to comfort her despite letting out some tears of his own.
Finally he made it to his room as he slammed it shut behind him, locking it, before his feet finally gave way as he was now on his hands and knees, still trembling from everything.
'It wasn't my fault... it wasn't... it-...' He tried to tell himself that but it's as if his brain were on the Fritz as the voice box inside his head was starting to pull the same disappearing act as his verbal voice box did.
He didn't even realize that his body eventually gave out on him as he now laid on the floor fruitlessly trying to grip the wooden floor trying to ground himself.
The silence of the room became far more deafening and suffocating than how the atmosphere felt back in the principal's office, further solidifying that...
...His life was all over...
Flashback, principal's office
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY ENROLLMENT HAS BEEN REVOKED!!?" He yelled, outraged, Not minding his manners at all as the detective, Tsukauchi, calmly but firmly explained, "What I'm saying is that you are no longer eligible to apply for the UA entrance exam or for any exams for any other hero school out there, or even a normal high school by any means. I hate to say this but, due to the multiple counts of bullying, abuse, quirk abuse, gross negligence, civilian endangerment, destruction of property on and off campus, to name a handful of crimes, And worse of all, baiting suicide towards a minor, You are under arrest and will be transferred to Juvy Hall level 10 in Shibuya."
His eyes widened in shock, he had done research on that particular subject last year for his history class.
Back before quirks became a thing, Juvy Halls were just a normal federal detention centers for delinquents under the age of 18, but then when quirks came in they had to add new levels of security and severity to their districts in order to address particular cases that were far worse than that of a normal one could ever handle.
There were several levels of juvenile hall depending on how bad the situation was, The first level was for something more mild (all things considered regarding the law) but still disconcerting enough to need to be rectified. But it was the level 10 that was the absolute worst, as It meant you came as close to being identified as a villain and would be at high risk of being put in prison if you stepped one foot out of line even once, regardless of whether or not you were 18 yet or not.
And chances of going to rehab afterwards were rather low as most of the majority were either far too stubborn to accept such a thing or were too far gone to be able to have a chance to be allowed something like that, One would have better chances in getting rehab in any of the Juvie Halls that were out there If they actually set their hearts on it.
Juvies 1-7 were kinda like mini jails, with the final 3 levels being as close to prison as possible, with 10 being dangerous closer than its 2 predecessors.
And from stories he had read, the level of security and the rules there were of the highest degree, And their tolerance towards their violent actions were zero, to put it bluntly.
About as high as that of Tartarus prison In a similar sense.
"y-y-Y YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!" He yelled in denial, "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO YOU PLAIN LOOKING FREAK!"
But the detective said, narrowing his eyes at him, "We can and we will, had it not been for your parents You would be put in prison instead, But even then your actions are far too deep to lighten the sentence any further than that. Your actions towards the Midoriya family have been ignored for way too long, quite mainly because of the school itself, while a part of it wasn't your fault because the school essentially coached you into doing what you had done and will be punished accordingly, it doesn't change the fact that everything you've done up until this point towards the Midoriya's have all been your own and you did nothing to stop it. And it's not just you who is in trouble, but both the staff and a number of students in the student body who will be facing serious trouble If not going to juvie themselves on different levels then at the lightest either be transferred to another school altogether or be homeschooled, or be under house arrest until further notice, or facing a different punishment all together and fervently grounded too, and all the records including yours receiving a black mark, and being blacklisted to prevent all of you from going to any hero school ever again, any chances of any of you redeeming yourselves enough to get one last chance there will be slim at best."
This could not be happening. This couldn't be true. Shock and anger plastered his face as he tried to deny it in his head before he turned back to his parents as their expressions didn't change while auntie's on the other hand her expression didn't change but her crying started anew as she did nothing to stop her tears falling, But in a way that was similar to as if he had actually killed her daughter.
"We've already gotten the testimonies from your parents and from Miss Midoriya, And we've already gathered all the evidence involving everything that's happened in this school including video footage which has been restored as it had been tampered with a majority of times to try and cover up the despicable crimes that been taking place in this facility. Quirk discrimination and Anti-Quirk discrimination to this degree are extremely intolerable and are a huge felony." The detective told him, the boy's anger even more visible as he tried to protest but he was cut off as the man told him, "And you are by no means an exception to the rule in any manner, It doesn't matter how good your quirk is or how good your grades are, your actions and your attitude have been nothing but unacceptable, And the fact that your file has been manipulated from the very start in order to cover up your actions just so the school could get some kind of great reputation for once is completely unacceptable as well and should have been rectified years ago. This school along with any of its connected districts are being investigated and will effectively be shut down, and all the staff will be brought into questioning and either be put behind bars or revoked of their teaching license and be put on probation until further notice, while the children on the other hand will be facing a serious grounding from all of their parents while some are being investigated by the police to make sure that it had nothing to do with any sort of bad influences that may have come from each of their households and If it was then those children would either be sent to other relatives for them to live with while their parents are being further investigated or be put in foster care and their parents arrested and have their parental license revoked completely, but If it wasn't because of something going on in their households then those children will be facing different punishments themselves."
The detective took a moment to take a deep breath as he then said, but more firmly, "Not only will you be facing juvy level 10, But your parents will be paying a huge fee towards the Midoriya's for all the money that was spent in getting medical supplies and replacement school supplies for years as a result of your actions, in addition to that both you and your parents both will be getting restraining orders that will not allow you to be anywhere near the Midoriya's for the foreseeable future, and your parents will be going into parental counseling, Will not be allowed to leave their home outside of going to work as this will be kept quiet from their staff to protect them from any further harm and to ensure your family does not go bankrupt, And will have someone come and deliver groceries to them for the next following year, regarding visitation to see you it will be arranged ahead of time. And finally, you'll be attending mandatory anger management and counseling until further notice, If the results are good after a year then you will be transferred to a lighter level and have better chances of being released early from the juvenile district, if not then you'll either remain where you are until you turn 18 or until you do anything to break the rules to result in you being transferred to prison. You'll still be allowed to continue your school education from there but your actions will be monitored so you won't fall behind nor cause any mishaps that would further cement your sentence, regarding going into rehab that will be your decision to make all together as there's a difference between that and counseling."
Katsuki wanted to shut him up and tell him he got it all wrong, that he wasn't some sleazy criminal, that he was going to be a hero greater than All Might, but He never got the chance to speak as Inko was the one to break her silence as she said, "It's for your own good."
The sheer volume of sorrow and anger that permeated her voice caught his attention as he turned to the green-haired woman only to see her gripping the hymn of her skirt so tightly that you would think that she would end up accidentally ripping it up as she gave him the hardest glare she had ever given to anyone he could ever remember as this really startled him, causing his heart to plummet to his stomach as quick as dropping an anchor from the top of the hoover dam:
"I loved you like you were my nephew, I loved you and your family both, I welcomed you in my home, I saw you as part of my family, I thought I could count on you to look after my daughter and keep her out of harm, And what did you do in return? You hurt her, you brought harm to her, you hurt my baby so many times that I wonder how you never got arrested in the first place. I showed nothing but kindness to you but in return you spat hatred and endless suffering on my daughter just because of something that wasn't even her fault, she never asked to be quirkless and yet you're treating her as if you have an excuse to beat her up as if quirklessness means they aren't human anymore even though it's not true yet not caring at all and hurt the people connect to her, by all means it means you also hate me too If you hate my daughter this much."
This shocked him even more when she said that, snapping him out of his anger as more denial was plastered on his face, he wanted to deny that it wasn't true but he never got the chance as she continued:
"Izuku has shown you nothing but kindness and admiration towards you for your control of your quirk and it's versatility, determination to pursue your dream and your stellar grades, how you never give up, and has told me this on more than one occasion. She saw you as a friend. She cared about you. And she was inspired by you to follow her dreams. And what did you do in return? You sought to make her life filled with misery, despair and hopelessness. Instead of actually trying to sit down and reason with her to follow a safer career path like any decent person would you get it in your head to crush her dreams so mercilessly that it's as if you're a murderer in that regard and made it your life's goal to make her life anything but happy. Taking away any happy moments she should have been allowed to have and essentially force fed her pain and hopelessness so ugly and disgusting that it's a wonder how she hasn't started throwing up from that. As if only you were allowed to be happy and not her when you Never had any right to dictate her life like a tyrannical war hungry pyromaniac that wouldn't spare a second glance to the slave they hold captive except to use as nothing more than a punching bag. You hated her as if she did or said something horribly wrong to you when she never did in the first place. Never once had she Ever done something horrible to you to warrant it and yet you accused her of it anyway regardless of the fact that she's never caused you any harm at all, period. She wasn't Looking down on you, She was encouraging and supporting you, And yet here you are thinking it the opposite."
Inko took a moment to catch her breath before she concluded, "If you truly cared about us then you wouldn't have done what you've done for this past decade. Even if you didn't like Izuku you should've just left her alone instead of making her life a living nightmare. Rather than doing the smart thing, you instead choose to hurt her in every way, ignoring the fact that it's my daughter you are hurting, ignoring the fact that I get worried and scared for her when something bad happens to her no matter how hard she tries to hide it especially when she shows obvious signs that she had a bad day. So I ask you, how could you think of doing something so deplorable and heartless knowing that you're hurting me as well by doing it? How can you love me but hate my child who is my only family? Could you ever imagine what I had to suffer because of what you put Izuku through?... Are you going to kill me too if you ever attempt to actually murder her just to erase her existence?"
There was no hope in him trying to speak because the more she talked the more overwhelm he became from all of this, There were no words that he could ever spout or say to try and prove her wrong when it seemed like his voice was just plain gone, that he wanted to deny it yet for some reason he couldn't say it or put it into words even if he tried.
He didn't want Auntie to die! He did care about her, the very thought of killing her, let alone hating or hurting her, disgusted him actually.
But Deku?
He couldn't think of an answer, he just could not.
Feebly he tried to shake his head in denial but it seemed like it was being ignored as what she said next was the final nail in the coffin for him:
"If you ever come anywhere near me or my daughter again I will not hesitate to fight back nor call the police. As far as you know neither me nor my daughter ever existed in your life. Focus on your own life for once and stay out of hers, and essentially mine. I mean it. And don't you ever call me auntie ever again, You've lost all right to from the first moment you wanted to hurt my baby for even existing!"
End a flashback
Her words echoed in his head, no matter how hard he tried to push them away, the more he thought about it, and he really fought hard trying to not do so, the louder they became.
It need not be said what she meant by her words.
She had cut him and his family out of her life and that of Deku's.
But she can't... He tried reasoning in his mind... She can't just cut him out of their lives after everything... could they?
He was honestly still surprised he was still able to hear everything after being shut down like that, The officers had given him the rest of the day and the night to pack his things and really think about things, say his goodbyes to his parents before he would be carted off to juvie the very next morning. As for the school itself it will be completely shut down and everything else will be handled by the police in regards to what will become of his classmates and his former teachers, though he did hear that the principal himself, as the main puppeteer behind their file manipulation and increase coercion in gross negligence, false doctrine in students grades, abuse of power and authority and making life here in school worse, he would be facing a far more serious sentence compared to what his staff and the students will face.
Which will be revealed in the news later, although it was obvious that his life was over too.
But before He and his family left he had clamps slapped on to both of his wrists that would leave him unable to use his quirk so he wouldn't try anything in case something might go wrong before the following morning, he would not be allowed to use his quirk until he was given permission to and even then it wouldn't be for a long time.
He was quirkless, powerless and weak, just like Deku.
And it left a very bitter taste in his mouth.
It was quite curious how he had not exploded until about 2 hours after He got home.
And y'all know the rest from there.
It was only by the crackling thunder outside that had snapped him out of his daze, Looking up he saw from his window that it was extremely cloudy out which made the room darker than it should have been at this time of day, he only vaguely remembered hearing the TV downstairs saying that an unexpected storm was going to be occurring which would last until 8:00 p.m. that night.
Nonetheless it seems like the storm had only matched the mood of this scenario.
Yet this also allowed him to be able to think.
He wasn't going to kill auntie. Never planned to, ever. He never hated her. Far from it.
But Deku?
He...
He...
He grinded his teeth in frustration as he couldn't find anything he could say about his relationship with her aside from the fact of what had already been clearly painted and made known to him by all the adults.
He... He had to go talk with her.
Even if Auntie would try to stop him at the door, even if it meant breaking the door down, he had to go talk to her.
He didn't know what he was going to say or do when he got there, but he knows that he was going to get answers, he had to know.
Whether she liked it or not.
That restraining order could go burn to ashes for all he cared, he wasn't going to let that stop him.
After pulling himself together, viciously wiping his tears away, he went to his closet, Surprised yet grateful that he still has his roller skates, that they still fit and for his mom making him spend his time learning how to use these as in an attempt to get him a new hobby, 'At least they'll be put to use for once.' He thought to himself as he grabbed them and his helmet and quietly made his way to his window.
It wasn't the first time he had snuck out like this under his parents nose, and not the first time he had to rely on parts of the roof and the old ladder that (coincidentally) leaned on that side of the house to help him get down from his second story home to the ground to avoid detection given the fact that he knows how loud his quirk was and he didn't want to get caught right away by his parents.
And since he couldn't use his quirk even if he wanted to, he had to go with this method of escape.
He wasn't a junkie idiot that snuck out to do drugs or any such stupid life-threatening garbage, he only ever snuck out to do more serious training with his quirk in secret (even after his parents tell him he had done enough), to blow off some steam, or when he got so bored that he didn't want to get cabin fever in his room and clear his thoughts by strolling around the neighborhood (sometimes running into Deku in the process and give her the usually reminder to know where her place was).
Once he was on the ground, he got to the pavement, hiding behind the wall facing away from his house so he could put on his skates and helmet and made his way over to the Midoriya residence.
It wasn't raining yet there was a high chance it would at any minute from now. Yet getting a raincoat for this situation was the farthest thing from his mind.
Thankfully enough some of the roads were repaired to allow him to take one of the currently available routes to his destination without being spotted.
'You better be there when I get there Deku.'
A little over half an hour later, apartment complex building A
This could not be true.
This has to be a sick prank to mess with him.
This just couldn't be right.
This has to be a dream.
There's no way they would just... move out like this without warning.
Right?
He had to tell himself this to keep from losing his mind or exploding in anger.
He had already rubbed his eyes enough times to cause them to go red from practically being rubbed raw which had hazen his vision briefly before he stopped himself from doing it more and risk impairing his vision completely, however temporary that would be.
Because clearly he was seeing things, that "For sale" sign had to be fake, the name plate for the apartment had to have been switched out with a blank one to fool him, surely they must've hidden their door mat and fake plant to make him think otherwise.
They've never left here in all the time he had known them, even after Deku's no show father had left without a word and never came back they still didn't budge an inch, even declining the hags offer to move in with them until they could get back on their emotional feet.
They never planned on moving.
Never.
Not without telling them at least if they ever did plan too.
They had to still be here.
After looking through that section, he eventually found the spare key hidden behind the name plate, he recalled years ago when he was little, during the last few times he ever came here, he had heard auntie say that she made a spare key to the place Incase she lost her first one or misplaced it somewhere.
As much as he wanted to pound on the door he didn't want to alert anyone who would either report about the racket to the police or notify his parents.
With the key in hand he unlocked the door.
Immediately he opened the door, ready to find Deku and drag her out so they could talk, only to be met with an even more shocking and unsettling sight.
There was nothing in front of him.
Literally.
The furniture in the foyer and hallway to the living room was gone.
The only indication of there having been any furniture there were marks and line prints left by where they once were.
Only the sound of thunder, followed by the first droplets of rain could be heard as the cold atmosphere of the apartment embraced him as the air that once felt homely now felt ...
Abandoned...
Cold (literally)...
And... Empty...
His body shook with a feeling he didn't like even more than what he had been feeling all throughout that week and today especially.
'It can't be true...' He thought to himself as he disregarded the stealth as he stormed into the house like a mad man on a mission.
But to no avail.
Nothing and no one way there.
No furniture.
No food.
No Electricity or water.
No auntie.
And no Deku.
Yet he desperately tried to deny it as he kept looking harder, even in the junk closet which was for once completely empty with only dust bunnies left behind. The bathroom was a no go either, yes he even looked inside the toilet even though that didn't do anything at all and made him look outright stupid. The Master bedroom? Nothing.
He looked everywhere, everywhere, but he could find nothing.
There was only one more room to look into that he had been purposely putting off up until this point.
Deku's room.
The All Might themed nameplate that once hung on the outside of the door was no longer there, nothing left but a nail where it used to hang from.
His knees were buckling from relentlessly running all over the apartment looking for something, anything to prove himself wrong, arms from the elbows down especially the hands were twitching and trembling from practically slamming his hands on the walls repeatedly and even on the floors trying to make sure he didn't crash face first into anything in his increasingly clumsy haste, biting back the pain from feeling them throb.
"You better be here or I'll kill you Deku," His voice came out in a whisper, barely holding up any threat within it and was instead lining more towards desperation.
Trying to convince himself that they were not gone because of him, they didn't choose to move because of what he had been doing for all this time, that he wasn't a villain but a hero in training no matter what the police or his parents or even Auntie said.
It couldn't be true.
With his last bit of strength he grabbed the door knob, gripping it far tighter than intended as he swung the door open so fast he didn't care if it crashed against the wall which it did as it gave off a loud 'bang'.
Just like everywhere else, her bedroom, to his dismay, was completely empty.
No furniture.
No All Might merchandise.
No Deku.
In a daze he stumbled inside before he ended up tripping over his own feet as he landed on his knees and his hands like he did at home.
Barely registering that it was becoming harder for him to breathe as he scanned the room.
Trying one more time to find anything.
And that was when he spotted it, he couldn't make out what it was but it was something as he hastily crawled on his hands and knees over to the thing in question as from a distance he couldn't tell what it was due to how dark it was inside.
Once he finally reached it, what he saw actually shattered him.
On the floor was a lone picture and next to it was a broken black sharpy marker.
The picture, He remembered all too well was the first picture that was ever taken when the two of them wanted to try using the new insta camera that the Midoriya's recently got around that time.
He vaguely recalled them having a blast making all sorts of superhero poses and all the wacky shenanigans that the two of them got into all throughout the day with that camera.
But that first picture right in front of him was of the very first photo that was taken that started it.
Ultimately Deku the sentimental nerd chose to keep it as a way to treasure that moment, promising to never let anything happen to it.
For all her faults she always kept her promises.
But...
Not any more it seems as the picture itself had a big black X crudely scribbled on top of the photo right in the center between herself and Katsuki back when they were kids like some kind of semblance of her severing him from her life.
The bottom part of the photo was drenched in the black sharpie as the underside seems to have gotten some of it on it too as he could tell up close that this has been sitting here for days, definitely more then long enough for the sharpie to lose any use at all despite it showing it being clearly broken right down the middle, Not to mention the prominent dry spots where the marker had bled now about as hard as dried up nail polish.
With shakey hesitance He moved his right hand over to the photo, for the first time, trying to be as gentle as possible as He carefully grabbed the photo by the corner in the lower right as he carefully pried the photo from its spot, taking at least a good couple of moments before he heard the satisfying "snap" that indicated that the photo was now free from its spot and no damage had been done to it from his action.
Carefully cradling the photo in both hands he slowly began to sit on his legs as he began to further examine the photo.
This tight feeling in his chest, the new way his body was trembling that had nothing to do with physical exhaustion or anger, the way his eyes were beginning to well up with tears again, His teeth now weakly gritting against both sides of his jaw as he couldn't utter a single word.
Slowly then did he flipped the picture over as he saw a message that was written in crayon but carefully so as he recognized that this was her handwriting before it improved years later.
Even with a portion of the back of the photo being drenched in dry black sharpie he was still able to make out the crayon letters as he was able to read the message as clearly as reading a beginner childs story book, to his shock the date on the back of when this was written was days after she had been diagnosed despite on the front in the corner it showed the proper date of when the photo was taken, but what it read made him gasp sharply:
"I 'n K, BFF, Your my hero Kacchan, I love you!"
That's what made him snap once again, But this time, he barely acknowledged that his own voice sounded very broken.
"YOU IDIOT! HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY WRITE THIS AFTER EVERYTHING I DID TO PUSH YOU AWAY?! HOW COULD YOU EVER THINK THIS AFTER EVERYTHING THAT I'VE DONE?! ARE YOU SICK IN THE HEAD?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?! HOW COULD YOU EVER LOVE ME AFTER ALL I DID TO YOU?! I EVEN TOLD YOU TO END IT ALL TO GET YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE! YOU QUIRKLESS FREAK, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE WROTE THIS KNOWING HOW I REACTED WHEN YOU CAME TO SCHOOL THAT DAY! HOW COULD YOU SEE ME AS YOUR HERO WHEN I DID NOTHING BUT MAKE YOUR LIFE SO DIFFICULT THAT ITS HARD TO BREATH?! AND NOW AFTER ALL THESE YEARS YOU FINALLY CHOSE TO CUT ME OUT OF YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU SHOULD'VE DONE SO YEARS AGO?! YOU SLOW-MINDED MIDGET! YOU STUPID QUIRK OBSESSED FREAK! HOW COULD YOU STAND TO BE AROUND ME AFTER EVERYTHING I'VE DONE UP UNTIL NOW?! YOU SHOULD'VE FOUGHT BACK AGAINST ME MORE, NOT GIVE UP AND RUN AWAY LIKE A COWARD! YOU CAN'T JUST CHANGE YOUR MIND OUT OF NOWHERE LIKE THIS AND DISAPPEAR ON ME! YOU SELFISH BUFFOON! YOU ARROGANT HAG! YOU ... YOU..."
Slow but surely the heat behind his voice dwindled away as the tears that had started to fall since he started his rant were now falling in a cascade of which he never done so before since he was a toddler, his voice becoming ragged and weak, eyes shut tight as he couldn't bear to keep them open, not realizing that he was holding that picture up against his chest like it were something precious rather then something that represented their cut ties.
Fighting back his growing sobs yet struggling to about as much as a desperate man struggling to get air in order to escape suffocation.
The more they grew the more certain feelings he had been trying to kill grew more and more real.
Isolation.
loneliness.
Anguish.
Despair.
... Guilt...
"You... you... had ... auntie had to... You couldn't stay... Because I... I..."
Gravity took its toll on him, in terms of the situation, as it grew worse, his heart felt like it was breaking apart, the cracks getting bigger and bigger with every moment that passed.
"They had to move away for their own safety. Especially for Izuku."
He didn't move but he was made aware that his mother was now with him as he could hear her and his father's footsteps approaching him as his mom continued to speak with a voice filled with guilt:
"They moved away days ago. Just in time too given what happened the other day. We met up with her late last night and she, the police, and several heroes told us what was going on with you and the school. Had we known what was really happening earlier we would've homeschooled you and gotten you anger management years ago. We are at fault for being negligent which is why we're going to counseling so to set us straight and make things right."
It was then that his father spoke next as he said, somberly:
"We weren't there in the morning when you woke up because we were organizing a meet up with Inko and The police so we could confront your principal before meeting you. Needless to say he wasn't going to back down without a fight, determined to win to ruin Izuku's life and embezzle in your succession, but in the end the toxic man finally folded when he realized that he was completely cornered and had no more resources to back him up. To put it simply it got very ugly before you came in."
That explains why the principal looked more like a scared 5 year old watching a horror movie than a grown man. And why his secretary was scared when speaking on the intercom, she was a notoriously nosey eavesdropper so she heard everything. And it explains why there was so much yelling going on before that announcement was made.
He felt the right hand of his father touch his left shoulder as he continued:
"Both of your student files have been mended and changed to how they originally should've been. And Izuku will be transferring to a new school that will be better for her And will finally get the therapy that she should have gotten so long ago. As for where and where they now live, it's been kept secret to ensure you wouldn't know."
He didn't respond nor fought against his parents as they both helped him up on his feet, only vaguely aware of the sound of his skates and helmet close by as clearly his parents found them as they had been abandoned on the ground floor as he took the elevator up to avoid the stairs and losing balance in that box with them on.
"We knew you would come here." His mother then said sadly, "I saw you just as you hid away from the front of the house, I knew where you were going. We wanted to avoid you knowing this until the next morning, but knowing you, it would be useless. We didn't notify the police, because we knew we wouldn't need to, especially at seeing you react like this."
He'd never know how he could still hear his parents but was vaguely aware of everything else as he could feel himself being escorted out of the house by his Mom and Dad.
His old man then told him, "It pains us to have to do this, but it's for your own good, even if we were able to avoid you being sent to prison, we know that you nonetheless would never avoid a punishment all together. At least you have a chance to continue your schooling, we'll be able to still see each other with appointed scheduling and you'll get counseling to help you... though I hate to say this but, you're on thin ice with the authorities until you can prove that you've changed... whatever happens, its all up to you at this point."
"It hurts us to do this, to see you like this," His mom concludes as she gripped his right wrist in her left hand, squeezing it gently, "But we know that if we didn't then things would be even worse for you and the Midoriya's both. We're doing this because we love you And we only want what's best for you at this point, even if you might not think that, know that no matter what you do, what you did, no matter how angry you get, how much we yell at you, discipline you, no matter how much of an arrogant brat you are... we're not punishing you because we hate you, we're doing so because we love you and we always will."
That took way longer than anticipated but finally I got this and the previous chapter done, by the time these are posted you'll see that I've long since spell checked and all that jazz.
To be honest it took me a rather long time to really think of how to go about with this chapter in its entirety, longer than how It was going to be for the other.
And I'm going to state this really quick to you all, originally this chapter was going to be even longer than it is here, but the extra bit of dialogue and story I had eventually decided to put for a future chapter, which won't be for a while as there are other things I'd like to get done before then. I had to put those extra bits into a completely separate file so that I don't lose any of the progress on there as what I had in mind was just too good to delete and start over again and deserved to have a chapter of its own much later on.
When the time comes to post that later future chapter in the... well future... I will be sure to let you know in the authors note ahead of time when it comes to it.
Anyhow, I had set up a Poll on my amino account for my Hero Academia for whether or not I should start doing another story which has been on my mind for a while or to hold off on it so I can get things done.
This particular one has been really buzzing in my head just as much as this crossover story here.
I'm evaluating on whether I should get started on the next chapter and then do this next story after, or to get started on doing that story and wait on doing the next chapter to let myself recharge in that regard.
You'll see the results eventually.
Anywho, like always leave your reviews here and tell me what you think of these latest chapters, until next time everybody, TTFN!!!
