Pokemon AU Anime Adventures: Episode 1, Pokemon! I Choose You!
Hello there! Welcome to the world of Pokemon! This world is inhabited by creatures called Pokemon! For some people, Pokemon are pets. Others use them for fights. Pokemon exist everywhere in the Sea, in the land, through the skies, and even in spaces beyond our imagination. It is here where we close in on a small town in the Kanto Region where Several children prepare to embark on their first Pokemon Journey.
In a small home we found a Young man. He had black spikey hair, z shaped marks on his cheeks, a Blue jacket with white shoulder length sleeves, blue jeans, Black and white sneakers, a black undershirt and a Red and White Cap with the official Indigo League Symbol on it.
He is currently watching the live broadcast of the Exhibition match for this year's Indigo League Challenge. It's a Battle between the Elite 4 Member Bruno and Elite 4 Member Agatha
The match is already underway as Agatha's gengar shows why she is the oldest and longest running Elite 4 member in Kanto History as her Gangar makes Short work of Bruno's Onix flinging it into the stadium wall with a powerful Shadow ball. Bruno returns his partner and decides to send in a pokemon Nobody in Kanto has ever seen a White Duck pokemon holding a Leak in 2 halves.1 looking like a lance and the other a shield Bruno calls its name as Sirfetch'd
The crowd goes wild as the boy in his room cheers, which gets the attention of his mother, a woman with brown hair tied up in a ponytail. She had a pink short-sleeved jacket with a yellow undershirt, a purple skirt, and light green shoes. She looked down at her son with a very stern look
"Ash Ketchum! You should be in bed,Young man! You have a big day tomorrow" she scolded. Her son the plucky young Ash Ketchum pleaded "But Mooooom i'm way too excited to go to sleep now!" the woman sighed, shaking her head. "Well if your going to be like that at least you should watch something a little more educational.'' She walked towards the TV and changed the channel to a recording of an Old man with Gray hair Brown slacks and Red button up shirt in a lab coat. Anyone would instantly recognise this man as the world famous Professor Oak. "There's more like it." she said as the Professor began to lecture about the 3 Pokemon species normally given out to beginning Trainers in the Kanto region Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Detailing their types, their abilities, how best to care for them and how to bring out the best in each of them. The young Ash is captivated by the lecture before changing into his pajamas and going to sleep. He dreams about which starter he would get. Imagining receiving each one. In his sleep he unknowingly grabs ahold of his Pokeball clock and throws it across the room breaking it.
The next morning we move to a different house as a pair of siblings awake eager for the start of their journey. Both children are around the same age as the sister hops out of bed excited and rushes into her brother's Room. She had long messy red hair and was currently wearing her Blue Pajamas with little Ponies on them with blue fiery manes. Anyone could tell it was the image of the Pokemon Ponyta. Following close behind her is a small blue penguin looking creature with a round head and body 2 adorable flippers and feet. It had a white face and belly with patterns and overcoat of feathers that made it appear to be wearing a sweater. Anyone knowledgeable of pokemon knows it as the Sinnoh native starting Pokemon known as Piplup. Tho this one is slightly different from others of its species as it has slightly different shades of blues on its body and in sunlight one would think it sparkled like if the light shines on it. The girl runs into her brother's Room where he is sound asleep snoring like a log with a small orange reptilian creature in a small bed laying beside his own. It had a bright flame on the end of its tail signifying both its health and its species as the Pokemon Charmander. Though this one is smaller than most of its kind and had scars along its body. The girl walked passed, giving the small lizard a pat as she went to shake her brother awake. He had short spiky black hair with a blue bang in the front of his face. He was currently snoring and sound asleep. She tried to shake him awake to no avail. So with a dastardly look on her face she had her feathered friend get in close and started to squirt bubbled into his face which popped and covered his face in cold water causing him to sit up straight waking up.
"Gah!" the boy yelled as his sister Snickered "Wakey wakey sleepy head! Or we're gonna be late!" The boy rubbed his eyes before looking at his sister "Ah what the heck Dashie couldn't you find another way to wake me up?" "No way Rick, you always sleep in too late. You're such a lazy bones!" She replied cheekily.
the boy gets up in his pajamas "You gonna go out in your Ponyta Pjs or are ya gonna go get dressed?" She pouts before rolling her eyes. "Of course not sheesh. Ok I'll go get dressed then wait for you outside." She runs out of his room with a swoosh of air. The boy chuckles. "Always the same old Dashie."
Meanwhile across town we see a much larger home where another young man who seems to also have trouble waking up as his alarm bell rings and rings with no sign of him waking up.
"Mmm…12 more minutes" he mumbled in his sleep as he pulled his covers over his head.
The door to the boys room opens as a large nine-tailed fox as big as a cheetah walks in, its fur was golden and its eyes are ruby red, it walks over to the boys bed as it gently pulled the cover off, showing the boy was wearing Pajamas that had Fire patterns that was red and blue, his hair was long and messy, it was also red with blue streaks, the Ninetails then leaned on his bed before starting to lick his face, waking him up.
"Pleh! Pleh ok ok I'm up" he said as he got up tiredly, "Ugh, never like that method Ninetails" he said as the Pokemon, now known as Ninetails, walked out of the room as the boy got out of bed, putting on slippers that looked like a red centipede with its pincers as flames.
He yawns and stretches as he starts to walk out of his room, "Wonder what Mom is cooking today?" he said to himself as he headed downstairs.
The downstairs was very large as he looked around, nearby a trophy case is on display, showing trophy's of many girls and women in the boys family that had achieved something, most of the trophies were his mothers however.
"I'll get a trophy one day, I just know it, I'll be like my Moms and my sisters" he said to himself as he walked past the trophy case and then, a delicious scent caught his nose.
"Hey, I smell waffles!" he said with wide eyes, showing he had a red eye on the left and blue on the right, as he walked towards the smell, entering a large dining room that had a big round table, on the table were plates that held many breakfast foods, one of which was the boys favorite, waffles.
Entering the dining room from the door that connected to the kitchen were three women, one women was taller than the other two, she was wearing a crimson red tank top that had read Hot Mama on it and was wearing skinny jeans, that showed off a bulge in the crotch, and red heeled shoes, her hair was a golden blonde, the second woman was about a 2 feet above the boys height, her hair was cyan blue and she wore a red short sleeved shirt with a blue sweater and a blue skirt with loafers, the tall ones eyes were red while the short ones eyes were blue, explaining the boys eye colors.
The third woman was about a few inches above the blue haired womens height, she had red hair and wore a business suit, only she wore black leggings and a skirt instead of normal pants and wore black heeled shoes.
"Morning Mom, Mum, Mommy" the boy greeted each woman, yes, this boy has three mothers, no father, 3 women he calls his mothers.
All 3 women turned and greeted their son "Morning Xander~" the shortest mother came over and gave him a hug, this caused the young man to get embarrassed and blush.
"Mum, come on, it's too early" Xander said, but still hugged back, "Now now Xander don't you recall what today is?" The taller one said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" he asked. The one in the business suit shook her head "Don't tell us you forgot your big day. Today is the day you start your Pokémon journey".
Xander went wide eyed with the realization, "Oh my Arceus! I forgot!" Xander said, All 3 women chuckled"
"Then you better hurry up and eat your breakfast before your friends leave without you to Oak's lab." said the short mother.
"R-Right!" Xander said as he sat down at the table and started to eat his breakfast.
He quickly rushes through eating his food then running up stairs to get changed into his proper clothes.
After a few minutes, Xander is now wearing a blue and black shoes, jeans, a black shirt with a sleeveless blue jacket over it, the jacket having a red X logo of sorts on the front, a blue and black cap with a red pokeball design on it, his hair was tidied up and down his neck, he also wore black gloves with blue cuffs, one of his gloves had a white band on that had red on one end and blue on the other with a black attachment on the back and a red X on the front.
He went back down stairs as his mothers saw his new attire and couldn't help but be proud of him right now.
"Oh honey, we are so proud of you!" His tallest mother said tears in her eyes swelling with pride. "Now now Ferenah don't cry, he's a big boy and if he's anything like us and his sisters I know he'll make us proud." The one in the suit said. "Here son we knew this day would come so that's why we got you something special from our homeland in galar." The smallest mother said before presenting him with a Cherish Ball. "Open it and see who is inside''.
Xander takes the cherish ball and then opens it. Out coming from the ball was a pokemon that stood on two legs, having a greenish blue color with white fur and purple hair/horns and purple triangles on the top of its brown eyes and had a small tail.
"Indeedee?! What's this about Moms?" Xander asked. "Well when she found out you were starting your journey soon she just begged to come along with you!" Ferenah said as Indeedee hugged XL he was still around her height so he got his face nuzzled by her cheek.
"Well, I guess it would be good to have a pokemon I'm familiar with on my journey" Xander said as he pet Indeedee before seeing the time on a nearby clock, "Oh shoot, I'm gonna be late, I need to get to Rick and Dashie's place" Xander said as he held up Indeedee's pokeball and put her back inside, before he left, he gave each of his moms a kiss, "Love you Mom, Mum, Mommy, see you soon" Xander said as he ran out.
His mothers watched him run off, joyful tears in their eyes, "Oh I'm so proud of our little boy!" Ferenah said as she wiped her eyes, "I hope he stays safe, even with Indeedee, he needs to keep an eye out, we don't want a repeat of, the incident" Kelvanna said, worried for her son. They have flashes of memories of a roar of a raging dragon type and the screams of a little boy.
"Don't worry Hon, I'm sure Xander can handle anything that comes at him, we and his sisters have taught him well enough" Mayu said
Meanwhile back with the ketchum residents Ash is awoken by the sound of hard knocking "Ash! Wake up young man! You're gonna be late!" Instantly the young man jolts up in his green pajamas and runs out the door only bothering to put his shoes on "Ahhh I can't believe I slept in again!" the boy shouted as he quickly ran down the road towards Oak's Lab
As this happens a Young man and his sister are just leaving their residents Rick and Dashie along with their Pokemon Friends make their way towards Oak's laboratory to receive their Pokedexs along with meeting a rep of Rick's Sponsor the mysterious Gym Leader of Viridian City
"Come on Rick, we have to get there in time to meet XL!" the girl wined. "We'll see him even if we're late. So calm yourself sis" He Replied as they make their way to their lab. Then they see a large dust cloud coming their way as a young man with Red hair makes his way towards them. "See told ya sis" Rick pointed out.
XL sees the two walking and waves to them "Rick! Dashie!" he called to them as he walked over to them.
"So, are you guys excited? I still can't believe we get to go on our pokemon adventure this early!" XL said with excitement "This early?" Rick replied "From what I hear it's common in this region for kids to start their journeys at 10 years old".
"Yeah well in Galar you have to wait at least a few more years, like about 13 or 14" XL explained
"Your Region sounds really exciting XL" Dashie said with stars in her eyes excited at the possibilities.
XL blushed at the praise, before they could continue talking, they heard something behind them approaching fast, only to be suddenly tackled to the ground.
"MY LEG!" "MY BACK!".
Now the trio were in a pile on the ground with a boy they haven't met before, they all groaned in pain from the sudden tackle.
"H-Help us out Indeedee!" XL said as he reached for the cherish ball and let his Indeedee out.
"Dee? Indeedee?!" she said as she tried to help her master out of the pile, it manages to do so, causing the pile to collapse and allowing for everyone to stand up
"What was that?" Rick said as the boy in the Green Pjays stood up. "Ughh Ah sorry about that I was on my way to Professor Oak's and I guess I wasn't looking where I was going." the boy bowed apologetically "My name Is Ash Ketchum." "It's no Big deal. My name is Rick", "Hiya my name is Dashie!" the girl said standing up with a spring in her step.
"Sup dude, I'm Xander Flame, but call me XL for short, and this is my Indeedee" XL said. The boy then looks at the Group's pokemon standing by them. "Woah you all already have Pokemon!" "Huh? oh yeah we do. I met this little guy as a kid. He was from a bad breeder. But with Slayer, I taught that guy a lesson." he patted the scarred charmander who puffed with pride. "Tho between you and me despite what he looks like this lazy bones has more in common with a spoiled meowth." At this the little lizard deflates before huffing and blowing smokescreen in the boy's face "And I got my buddy as a gift from one of my big sisters who are on their own journeys," the girl said, holding her Penguin pokemon lovingly.
"I got my Pokemon from my Moms, she's been my caretaker ever since I was a baby" XL said as Indedee nuzzled into him. "Aww you guys are so lucky" Ash said. "Just you wait, once I get my starter I'll get stronger and become a Pokemon Master!".
"Well your getting your starter from Professor Oak right? We are on our way to get our Pokemon Dex's" XL said. "Then what are we waiting for! Let's go!" the boy said he ran off down the path where Oak's lab is at "There he goes" Rick said. "We should probably go too and so we can stop him from crashing into people" Dashie said with a somewhat joking manner.
"Alright, lets go!" XL said as they headed to the lab too. As they make their way they stop when they see a crowd at the front gate and when they get close they see its a small group of town folk cheering as a young man makes his way down the steps of the lab as Ash is left standing at the gate. "Gary!" he said as the young man with Spiky brown hair Blue shirt and black pants and shoes made his way down. "Well Well well if it isn't Ashy Boy late again I see. And still wearing the Pjs your mama gave you." he said with a tone that can only be described as Smug superiority.
"Am I the only one who sees this guy screams smugness?" XL asked his friends "I just met him and already I want Slayer to light his pants on fire" Rick said with his arms crossed, "Yeah I don't like him, he also sounds annoying" Dashie said.
"Well Ash you snooze you lose, I got a pokemon and you don't!" Gary said, XL glared at Gary, he could already see Gary was acting like a bully. "Just you wait Gary!I'll get my own Pokemon and then I'm gonna beat you!" Ash declared.
"Keep dreaming Ashy boy" Gary said as the crowd cheered him on, XL, Rick and Dashie couldn't believe the amount of people who were just letting Gary talk this way to Ash.
"We aren't just gonna let this happen are we?" XL asked "What can we do? It's not our place to butt in someone else's rivalry." Rick said as he looked on just as a Stylish Sports car pulled up filled with cheerleaders all chanting Gary's name.
"Isn't that pushing the line?" Dashie asked "Ok now he's just showing off" Rick said as Gary waved off the town and drove off, "When I return! I shall be a Pokemon Master!" Gary exclaimed as the crowd followed him.
"...Can I throw a brick at him?" XL asked Ash then remembered what he was there for and ran up the steps to Oak's lab. And the trio followed suit ready to forget all that nonsense just happened.
They see the door to the lab open and appearing was a 40 year old man, he was wearing a white lab coat with a red shirt and tan pants with black shoes, "Oh Ash, I see you finally made it" said the man before he saw the trio, "And I see you lot also arrived".
"Yep, I made it Professor, I'm ready!" Ash said "Long time no see Prof" Said Rick with a wave.
"Ready?" Oak asked, "Yep, I've been thinking a long time and I finally know which pokemon I'm choosing!" Ash exclaimed.
Soon they all went inside Oaks lab, they could see a lot of machinery and computers inside, all for the professors work. "Hey Professor, what exactly are the starters like here in this region?" Asked Rick
"The starters here are alike any starter you come across in any region, We always provide Water, Grass and Fire type pokemon to any new trainers we can, if they already have a pokemon when starting out, we do occasionally allow them to pick one of our starter pokemon if they wish, some accept the offer, some deny, but nothing out of the ordinary, you should know yourself Richard, you have your Charmander, Slayer was it?" Oak explained.
"That's right Mom did say Charmander is a starter pokemon here." he said looking down at his buddy who was walking alongside him.
"Yeah, I remember Mom saying that too, along with two other pokemon here, Squirtle and Bulbasaur right?" Dashie said.
"That's right! Your parents have taught you well" Oak said as he looked to Xander, "I've also heard how your mothers taught you Xander, since your mothers all come from different regions, you must know plenty more correct?" Oak asked.
"Sort of, I know other starter pokemon and the ones here, I also learned how each type effects each other, as well as what pokemon to steer clear from" XL said as they all approached a circular table that had 3 pokeballs in holders, each having kanji writing on them.
"I've been thinking long and hard, so I'm going to pick Squirtle" Ash said as he picked up one pokeball, only for it to open and nothing was inside, "Huh?".
"Already taken by someone who was on time" Oak said.
"Oh I wish I hadn't overslept, but now I will choose as my pokemon, Bulbasaur!" Ash said as he picked up another pokeball, only for it to be empty too, "What?".
"That one was also taken by a kid who wasn't late" Oak said.
"I'm sensing a pattern here" XL said to Dashie. "I can tell, this is why I have to wake bro up, so this kind of stuff doesn't happen" she whispered.
"Oh, well that's no problem! Because my Pokemon will be" Ash said as XL counted down to 3 with his fingers, "Charmander!" Ash exclaimed, only to have an empty pokeball once again.
"The Early Pidgeot gets the caterpie, or in this case the starter" Oak said.
"Does that mean all the pokemon are gone?" Ash asked.
"W-Well there is still one left but" Oak said unsure, before Ash exclaimed, "Professor, I'll take it!" Ash said, Oak then presses a button on the table, a middle hatch opened as a fourth pokeball appeared, the pokeball had a lighting bolt on it.
"I think I should warn you, there is a problem with this last one" Oak said, "But Professor, I have to have a Pokemon" Ash exclaimed, "Well, in that case" Oak then gave the ball to Ash as he opened the pokeball, appearing on the table was a yellow mouse like pokemon, it had a thunderbolt shaped tail, red cheeks and black tipped ears.
"Pikachu" it said.
"Its name is Pikachu" Oak said.
"Oh, its so cute, its the best of all!" Ash said, "You'll see" Oak said.
"A Pikachu? I didn't know you can give pikachu's as starters?" Xander questioned. "Uhh we might wanna step back." Rick said as he noticed the sparks coming off Pikachu's cheeks.
Ash picks up Pikachu as he greets him, "Hi Pikachu!" Ash said before cuddling it, Pikachu however didn't look happy as it let out sparks, before suddenly electrocuting Ash.
"WHOA!?" Dashie exclaimed as the trio got back.
"It's also known as the Electric mouse pokemon, its usually shy but can sometimes have an electrifying personality" Oak explained as the shocks ended, Ash somehow miraculously surviving without major damage, "I see what you mean" Ash said as smoke came from his body.
"Talk about a shocking first impression" Dashie said "Pokemon can be very temperamental" Rick said. Afterwards a woman with Purple hair short and well kept, she was in a full business suit, she had on her a clipboard and a pair of glasses as she approached. "You must be the young trainer Mr. Giovanni has been so eager about." she said looking at him "Mr Giovanni wanted to extend his congratulation on your start by offering you a Pokemon socially bred for you" she takes out a Ultra ball and out pops a Small creature with a fin on its head and a large mouth it has no neck short stubby arms and legs standing up right looking similar to a shark and had bright blue scales with lighter blue bands and a yellow belly patch that extended to its bottom jaw. "Woah, is that-" Rick said before being interrupted by the woman "A Gible, the first stage of the Garchomp line, the very same species used by the Sinnoh champion Cynthia." Everyone gawked. Professor Oak was first to point out its strange coloration from the norm of its species.
"Such a strange coloration, normal Gible aren't blue and yellow, they are gray and red" Oak pointed out. The woman who by her name tag is called Matori smirked "Of course, this one is a Shiny variant, its coloration is very rare, Mr. Giovanni took a great deal of care to make this one very special. Take very good care of it." she passed the Pokemon's ball to Rick. "Thank you for allowing me to stay and see your Lab while I waited, Professor." she bowed respectfully before she left the building. The Pokemon called Gible looked at Rick with a look of timidness and confusion as if it's not used to being outside it's ball without reason. Rick knelt down to come face to face with Gible "Heya there little one my name is Rick. and it looks like you and I are gonna be partners." he said as Charmander came around to say hi patting the tiny shark dragon on the back but it just got spooked and hid behind Rick's leg. "Ehehe, She seems a bit shy" said Dashie a bit of murth in her tone. "Hmmm what should I name this little guy?" "Girl" Professor Oak interrupted "This Gible is a female, you can tell as it lacks a notch on its head fin that the males of the species have." he pointed out. "Right right…hmmm well all the videos of Cynthia's Garchomp all show it devastating her opponents with slashes from its Razor sharp claws….hey how does Razor sound?" the Gible looked at him with a tilt of its head. "That way all our opponents now they're gonna get cut down by our Razor sharp Skill and determination when we hit the field!" this made Gible a bit happy. It got excited wagging its tiny tail "Awww" cooed Dashie "It's so adorable!".
"Yeah it's pretty cute" XL said as he looked to Oak, "So professor, do you have our Pokedex's?" he asked him "Ah yes they are right over here" he said walking over to a desk and picking up 4 pokedexes bringing them over to the 4 of them each taking it in hand.
"Alright, our journeys start now!" XL . "Alright let's head out" everyone started to walk out while Ash scrambled getting Pikachu's ball and his dex and running out to follow them with Pikachu in tow.
As they left the lab, outside waiting was a small crowd of the town. Some held a banner saying "Go Ash Go", in the front of the crowd was Deliah, Ferenah, Kelvanna, Mayu and Rick and Dashies mother "Mom?" said all 4 kids.
"Oh Ash I'm so proud of you" she hugs her son before handing him his things, a fully packed bag, his cap and a change of clothes.
"Oh I'm so happy for you Xander, you better be safe on your journey you hear?" Kelvanna said as she hugged XL, "M-Mum, your embarrassing me" XL said, "Thats a part of our job as your mothers Xander, you got to accept it" Ferenah said with a giggle, "Mom!" XL complained.
"You two be careful now and take care of each other" Rick and Dashie's mother said. "Don't worry mama I'll keep bro out of trouble" she said cheekily. "Oh ha ha ha sis" they all chuckle as their mom gives them a big hug.
"Now Xander, I hope you remember all the lessons we and your sisters taught you, and be sure to keep an eye out for dangerous pokemon" Mayu said, "I will Mommy don't you worry, besides I've got my friends with me to back me up if we get in trouble" XL said as his moms all hugged him, this tender moment gets interrupted by the sound of a thundershock as Ash's mother and the rest of the crowd gets a zap when Delia held up Pikachu "S-sorry mom" Ash apologize.
"Make sure to call every day." Deliah said in a daze.
"Oh dear. Well we should help out the others. Good luck kids! Ladies, let's take the others home" Rick's mother said to Xanders mothers as they nod, helping the people get back up.
Later on, the group of 4 were walking away from Pallet town, on their way to their goals, however, Ash was struggling was he was pulling his Pikachu, who refused to go in its pokeball, he was using rubber gloves and a clothesline to drag Pikachu.
"Uh Ash I don't think Pikachu likes being dragged around like that" Dashie commented. "Well it's not like he can go into the ball, what else am I supposed to do?" Ash said exacerbated knowing he's not getting anywhere with his Pikachu being stubborn.
"Why not try negotiating with it?" XL suggested "i'll try I guess." he knelt down to talk with pikachu. "Hey come on Pikachu, are you gonna be like this the whole time?" he asked as the Pikachu nodded, "Is it because you hate me?" it nodded once more, making Ash deadpan at this, "Well I don't hate you, I'm your trainer and since I'm training you, you should go in the pokeball like all other pokemon, see" Ash said as he brought out his PokeDex.
"While being trained, a pokemon usually stays inside its Poke Ball" Ash's Pokedex informed.
"See?" Ash said, only for Pikachu to press a button on the dex.
"However, there are many exceptions, some Pokemon hate being confined" the dex said.
"Guess that explains why it doesn't wanna go in the pokeball" XL said
"Okay then, this ought to make things better, and I'll get rid of these" Ash said as he took the rope off Pikachu and taking off his gloves, "Hows that?" He asked, only for Pikachu to turn away, "Still not good enough?" he asked.
However, soon came the sound of something sprinting by, the group turn to the sound, seeing a bird pokemon with brown and beige feathers.
"Hey a Pidgey" Ash said as he brought the Pokedex out and pointed it to the Pidgey.
"Pidgey, The Tiny bird pokemon a Normal/Flying type, it is very docile, if attacked, it will often kick up sand to protect itself rather than fight back, a perfect target for beginner pokemon trainers to test our their pokemon's skills" Dexter explained.
"Sounds like the perfect chance Ash" XL said.
"Yeah this is great! Its our lucky day, Pikachu, go get it!" Ash said, only for Pikachu to turn his head in denial.
"Aren't you ever gonna listen to me?" Ash asked, only for Pikachu to climb up a nearby tree and rest on a branch.
"That Pikachu really doesn't want to listen" Dashie said.
"Hey Ash, if you want you could borrow one of our pokemon for your first battle" XL suggested.
"No, I get Pikachu's message, I don't want its help or need it, I can catch that Pidgey all by myself" Ash declared, making XL, Rick and Dashie worried
"I wouldn't recommend that Ash" Rick said as Ash snuck up on the Pidgey with his pajama shirt. "Don't worry Rick, I got this." Ash said as he pounced on the tiny bird trapping it in the shirt. But then it started to struggle its way out. Soon teh shirt starts to grow and ash is blown away as a huge gust of wind pushes him off.
"What was that?" Ash questioned as XL Spoke up.
"That was the move gust, most bird pokemon can use it, heck any flying type pokemon can use gust" XL explained.
"Why don't you try throwing a pokeball Ash? Pidgeys are pretty easy to catch even for a beginning trainer" Dashie suggested.
"Ok I'll show you all I can do it!". He walks to his bag and takes out a pokeball, he stares down at the pidgey before he turned his cap backwards, then he threw the pokeball at it, as it made contact, the pokeball opened and the pidgey turned into red energy as it was sucked into the pokeball.
"Alright! I did it!" Ash said, "Hold on Ash, the ball is still shaking, it's not caught yet" XL said as he pointed to the ball shaking on the ground. The ball bursted and the Pidgey kicked up sand in Ash's face and flew away.
"Aww man" Ash said dejectedly all while XL patted him on the back.
Meanwhile Pikachu just laughed in the tree at Ash failing to catch the pidgey, the group then hear something by Ash's bag, showing a large purple rodent was trying to steal from his bag.
"Hey get out of there!" Ash yelled as he scared the pokemon away, Dexter activated as its camera detected the pokemon.
"Rattata, the mouse pokemon, a normal type, it will chew on anything with its fangs, if you see one, you can be certain 40 more are nearby, they normally life in forests" Dexter informed.
"This isn't a forest, its a open field" Ash said before Dexter continued, "They also hide in open fields to steal from stupid trainers" Dexter said.
"That means, I'm stupid?" Ash asked as Pikachu laughed even more.
"If there are more Ratatta, I'm not taking any chances, Angel come on out!" XL said as he let out his Indeedee.
"Deedee?"
"Angel, keep an eye out incase more Rattata appear, I'm not on good terms with them" XL said as his Indeedee nods at his request.
Ash, being upset with his luck today, grabs a rock from the ground and throws it at some nearby pidgeys, causing them to fly away, As they flew, Ash picked up another rock and saw what he thought was another pidgey.
"Alright, you're mine!" Ash called out as he threw the rock, which managed to hit the bird pokemon right on the head, "Yeah! Take that!" Ash said, however looking closer, the group saw it was not a pidgey, but in fact, a Spearow, a large bump forming on its head from where the rock hit it, a single tear coming from its eye as it looked at Ash.
"Whats that?" Ash asked as Rick looked at the pokemon too and recognised it quickly, "Its a Spearow!".
"Spearow?" Ash asked as he pulled out his Pokedex, "Spearow, the tiny bird pokemon, a Flying type, it is inept at flying high, however, it can fly around very fast to protect its territory, unlike Pidgey, Spearow has a terrible attitude, is very wild and will sometimes attack other pokemon and Humans" The dex informed, making the group worried as they then see the Spearow flying towards them.
"Incoming!"" XL yelled as the group avoided being attack, Angel also avoided as she kept her gaze on the Spearow, seeing it was not friendly.
The Spearow turn around as it flew, ignoring Ash as it had its sights on Pikachu in the tree, it then tried to tackle it out of the tree, making Pikachu dodge as the Spearow tried to attack Pikachu.
"Hey leave Pikachu alone, it didn't throw that rock!" Ash yelled as Dexter activated once more, "Wild pokemon tend to be jealous of human-trained pokemon".
"Well we wont have that, Angel, use Psybeam!" XL said, to which the Indeedee followed the order as she summoned psychic energy into her palms before firing it at the Spearow, it missed but made the Spearow fly away from the attack, if it didn't happen it would have gotten a hit on Pikachu.
"Nice work" XL said, before noticing the Spearow flying back around, "Its coming back!".
Having had enough, Pikachu showed off its attacks, using a thunder shock attack that hit the Spearow, electrifying it as it fell to the ground, "You got it!" Ash said to Pikachu as it climbed down from the tree, the Spearow however got up and was mad.
"SPEAROW!" it called out to a large nearby tree, soon enough a giant flock of Spearow came out of it, the group saw the massive flock and was not ready for it.
"H-Holy" XL said "RUUUN." Rick shouted as everyone quickly recalled their pokemon and started to run away, Ash was ahead of them with pikachu running alongside him.
"Don't worry Pikachu! No matter what, I'll save you!" Ash said, but Pikachu went further ahead, going faster to leave Ash behind, "Hey wait! Don't run ahead, I said I'll protect-" however Ash was cut off as a Spearow hit him in the head before all the Spearow managed to surround Pikachu, each hitting and pecking it.
"Hey Spearows, leave him alone!" Ash yelled before he charged into the large flock to save Pikachu.
"Ash!" Dashie called out to him as Ash picked up the injured Pikachu before they all kept running, hoping to get away from the flock.
The group kept running until they came across a cliff near a water fall, "Now what?!" XL asked as they saw the flock getting closer, Ash looked over the cliff before turning his cap backwards once more, "Alright, here we go!" he said before he jumped, shocking XL, Dashie and Rick as they saw him leap into the water below, realizing it was the only way, they also took in deep breathes as they jumped into the water, hoping to finally get away from the Spearows.
They are quickly swept away by the rushing water carried by the river to a nearby bank where a girl with short orange hair wearing a yellow shirt, blue shorts with red suspenders and shoes was fishing. Ash was caught on the hook of the line as the girl began to real in, feeling the tug.
"Ah alright I caught a big one!" she said she she reeled in hard yanking both Ash and Pikachu out of the water surprising her, "Aw man its just a kid, Oh! And a pokemon! Are you alright?" she asked as Ash was catching his breath.
"Y-Yeah I think so" Ash said, "Not you! The pokemon, is it breathing?" she asked. That's when the other 3 washed ashore, gasping for air. "Remind me to invest in a big water type in the future." Rick said as he stood up trying to catch his breath.
"I love swimming, but that was terrible" XL said as he coughed out some got up having been pulled out of the water by her Piplup. "Aww now all of our stuff is all water logged. At Least we got away from the Spearow."
However, as soon as she said that, they heard the flock again, and in the sky they saw the massive flock coming their way.
"HOW DID THEY FIND US?!" XL exclaimed all of them panic soon ash spotted the girl's bike and put pikachu in the basket and got on and started riding. "HEY THAT'S MY BIKE!" the girl shouted as the others quickly ran past to catch up. "Don't worry, we'll return it!" Rick and XL shouted in unison.
As the trio tried to catch up to Ash, it started to rain, "Oh come on now it's raining?!" XL said as the three tried to get to Ash, seeing the Flock of Spearow catching up to the boy.
"Those Spearow, really wanna get Pikachu" Dashie said panting as they kept running before they saw Ash fall off the bike and crashed into the path "Ash get up we have to keep going Viridian is just a couple miles away!" Rick said as he helped pick up Pikachu. The flock was overhead circling.
Ash Got up and got in front of everyone, "Ash what are you doing?" XL asked. "I'm tired of running. You guys get Pikachu to the center. I'll hold them off!" Ash said, "Are you crazy!?" Dashie said. "You could get seriously hurt!".
"And if i don't so could all of you! I won't let that happen!" He said running towards the incoming Spearow shouting to gain their attention.
"Listen here Spearow! I'm Ash from the town of Pallet, I'm destined to become the worlds best Pokemon Master, I can't be defeated by the likes of you!" Ash said as Pikachu looked on with interest.
"I'm going to capture and defeat you all, you hear me?!" Ash declared as the spearows circled him as he looked back to the trio, "Guys get out of here quick!" he said as he stared down the giant flock, "Come and get me!" he shouted as the storm got worse, lighting was even striking.
All the spearow started to dive bomb, ready to attack Ash, however, Pikachu quickly escaped Ricks arms, jumped off of Ash's shoulder, a massive lightning bolt that hit Pikachu as he let out a powerful thundershock attack, blasting all of the spearow away and knocking everyone to the ground.
After a few minutes, the group awoke to the sky clearing up, the sun shining down on them.
Ash saw Pikachu next to him, tired and hurt as they got up, "Welp, we got em" Ash said as the group stood up, sore from that blast from Pikachu, but then they heard two Spearow cries, they looked to see that two Spearow remained, one of them was coloured different however, having mix of red and orange feathers and a gray underbelly and a black beak.
"Looks like these two hung back from the rest" XL said as the two Spearow flew around them.
"Pikachu is too injured to fight" Ash said as he picked up Pikachu.
"Then let us handle this, Rick, you with me?" XL asked. "You bet" Rick said as he sent out Slayer into battle with a cry of "Char Char" from the little orange lizard.
"Angel lets go!" XL called out as he sent out his Indeedee, "Deedee!" as she appeared, psychic energy appeared around the group.
The battle started as the Spearows both tried to tackle Slayer and Angel.
"Angel use Protect!" XL yelled, she did so as she summoned a barrier to protect them against the attacks.
As the tackles didn't hit, the Spearows flew up before the strange coloured one suddenly spewed flames from its beak and at Angel.
"What the?! Spearow can't use Ember, can it?!" Xl exclaimed.
"Slayer intercept with Flame Burst!" Rick shouted as slayer shot back with a Condensed ball of fire from its mouth that over powered the ember and smacked the odd colored spearow. The other dove and went to use wing attack on Slayer.
"Angel use Psybeam!" XL yelled as she blasted the other Spearow with Psybeam.
The oddly coloured Spearow flew up once more before it unleashed a powerful gust attack that was threatening to blow away Angel and Slayer.
"Hang tight guys!" XL called out as he tried thinking of an idea, that's when Rick thought of something and pulled out a black orb with a crystal inside it he lifted it up as it charged up. "SLAYER TERASTALIZE!" Rick shouted as he threw the ball overhead and large crystals overtake slayer and shatter revealing slayer now with a crystalline shimmer to him and glowing with what looks like a fiery candle chandelier shaped crystal on its head like a sort of crown. Slayer roared as it bursted with fire type energy.
The birds were shocked as were the others seeing this event. Except Dashie who had seen Rick train with Slayer multiple times and grew up in the Paldea region this phenomenon was all too familiar to her.
"NOW SLAYER USE A SUPERCHARGED FLAMETHROWER!" The tiny lizard roared as it powered up its fire type energy and engulfed both birds in a large torrent of flames that evaporated all the surrounding water around them from the rain. This caused the normal spearow to faint and falling from the sky. The other one was barely hanging by a thread as if it's pride refuse to allow it to fall.
"Man that one doesn't give up, does it?" XL said before he had an idea, "Maybe I could, add it to my team" XL said as he reached into his bag and pulled out a pokeball, "Alright Spearow, time to make you mine!" XL exclaimed as he then threw the pokeball, it flew at the special Spearow as the pokeball hit it, it then went inside the ball before the ball fell to the ground, the pokeball shook for a few seconds, after three shakes, the ball stopped shaking, which meant only one thing.
"Alright!" XL yelled in excitement as he picked up the pokeball, "I caught my first new pokemon!" XL exclaimed as Angel cheered. Rick however walked towards the downed Spearow who looked like it still wanted to fight despite its body being hurt. "Hey there little guy you're a fighter aren't ya?" he said. The Spearow Squawked with determination. "Hmm tell ya what, why don't you join us?" Rick takes out a pokeball. " I promise we'll get stronger together. You felt Slayer's strength. I'm sure you'd wanna get that strong." The tiny bird looked at the ball with some trepidation before pecking the button with its beak and allowing itself to be caught. "Alright I caught a Spearow!" Slayer cheered with a cry of its name.
Meanwhile Dashie was helping Ash and Pikachu up. Indeedee was providing some aid by using some medical supplies Xl's mothers had packed in his bag. As they were doing this the clouds from the storm finally cleared up and a rainbow shined overhead. It was an amazing sight..then Ash caught a glimpse of a mysterious pokemon in the sky flying in the rainbow, to him it looked like a bird, but he couldn't get a clue on the colors due to the rainbow and sunset obscuring it.
That's when Ash's Pokedex blinked on and scanned the mysterious pokemon. "Data Unknown. Pokemon not recognised." the robotic voice of the Pokedex said.
A feather soon fell down as Ash caught it, its colors shined like the rainbow as he admired it, everyone recovered but Pikachu was still in bad shape.
"Hey Ash, we better get moving, the nearest pokemon center is in Viridian and we don't have a lot of time before it gets dark" XL said Ash put the feather away safely into his pocket as he got up. "Right lets go!" he said, he went to get back on the bike only to see it was bent up out of shape from both Xander and Rick crashing into it in the explosion.
"That girl is not going to be happy about that," Dashie said as the group decided to run, hoping to get there faster as it was their only option now, and so our heroes run off hoping to make it to Viridian City in time to heal Pikachu as the Journey continues.
Hey everyone...so this is a surprise huh? another single fandom story, this is something me, my friend and girlfriend are working on, basically its us if we were a part of the Pokemon Anime series, we'll be implementing our own ideas, episode ideas and events we come up with, as well as changing some certain events to make this AU interesting, we've also been working on some special artwork for this AU, We haven't post them online since we are still planning things through and through, but trust me you guys are gonna love it!, Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this new story and what's to come, please leave reviews related to this story and leave any feedback, it'd be very appreciated, see ya guys
